This people are extremely a joke…..I have parking street permit and they entered the plate wrong so they give me a ticket…I received letters that i have to pay $50 or they will bot my car….i went there and they saw the error that they make entered the wrong plate so the lady told me that was dismissed….now I got the seme letter but with the right plate number even that i have permit to park there….they want your money no matter what, even when you are right
The absolute dumbest checkout system I ever seen. Rather than the ordinary system of paying for your ticket as you exit, you have to bring your ticket with you, then pay for your time when you come back in the lobby. There are only 2 kiosks and one of them is broken. During events at PPL center you are sitting for 45 minutes waiting to pay.
Thee people stole my license plate without permission from Penndot. and refused to give it back to me They are involved with A1 towing in a extortion scheme.charging people double for towing. The Allentown Parking Authority charges for towing and A1 charges for towing too.
Signs everywhere for take your ticket with you snd pay in office. Office is locked. I call emergency number and they tell me to pay at the gate. The machine doesn’t work at the gate. Completely useless. Took me an extra 15 minutes to figure out how to get out of there.
I parked over night less then 12 hours because of a snow emergency so parking was supposedly free. In the morning I had two tickets for parking my car in reverse instead of head in. This lot has two extremely small signs at the corners of the building that are not visible that say head in parking only. So now free snow emergency parking becomes $70 in fines. Nice way to treat Allentown tax paying citizens. Rob from allentown parking is extremely rude and unprofessional and told me that Cindy the supervisor would not even wanna hear what I have to say about the signs not being visible.
Terrible! I go to my parents house nightly to help my 97 yr old dad wash up due to a recent fall. The patrolling authority have ticketed me 3 times in the last week. Do they hide in an alley & wait to ticket? Im only parked there for a very short period of time due to lack of street parking, therefore, have to park directly in front of my parents house. Its so sad. I would give them negative stars if I could. With all the other issues going on in Allentown, you would think they would be less concerned with issues like this. Disgusting! Hope this helps Allentown with their revenue this year.
This derelict company matches its city, one of yhe PA shithoes. No matter report malfunctions at thecparking or te machine runs ut of rceipts, nbodyvlusten. The office, a latrine wherevemployees are rude corrupted and yel over the counter. No matter tey try to act sosphisticsted they beong to Allentown a putrid example of rampant corruptinandmalfunctioning, aAlentownandallentown parking authrity, the latrine of Pennsylvania.
Mixed emotions about these guys. Ive had some amazing customer service and a few incidents where I couldn t get my car out of the garage (monthly parking permit) bc they never sent the correct QR code for me. It was worked out but at 445am the last thing you want is to deal with that bill ship. Luckily my wife’s car was parked elsewhere and was able to get to work in a timely matter. So all in all....you already know!
They change parking decks that offer free parking during snow storms every time there is a snow storm. They do not post the free location on their website, only their Twitter account, and do not always send text messages to those who subscribe to them. They are purposely moving the free parking during snow storms in the pandemic to get money from the public because they have lost money this year. They will say that the location depends on availability but this is very clearly not the case considering most employers downtown have canceled their employees parking permits and the garages are now completely empty.
Can you give a zero star review???First let me start by saying that any positive review you have ever read from this place, is probably a friend of theirs or from out of town visiting the new PPL center that rarely gets used...or gets used for cheesy overpriced events.Let me start off by criticizing the officers on the street. If you actually catch them ticketing you some of them are real cool. They give you warnings and skip your car if you are having issues.. The dark side of this coin is heavier though..The bad officers...will not care...since its their job to steal from the working class for our crime of being too poor to live further out where parking gets less attention. Funny thing is that if you have a car with like a recently expired tag theyll memorize where you live so they can hook you up with a daily ticket to help ease the quota of tickets you must need to give out.If you feel you given a ticket unfairly..well they want to argue with you....and ask you if you are the owner of the vehicle(they are hoping that you arent) also, they would love for you to make it to their office....so you can tell them you want to get a court hearing face..to face. They HATE going to court...wonder why. Id be willing to guess its because they would have to go on public record with their shanananigans. The ladies at the office love their job, they see it as we are in the business of handing out misery and they can do no wrong...If any lawyers decide to sue the living stuffing out of them, I wouldnt mind....and neither will the majority of the citizens of Allentown...Are you listening mr. mayor....people in the board of directors? how disconnected are you from the rest of the people you claim to serve?Sincerely,A citizen of Allentown
Some of the service reps are nice, but the overall system has room for improvement:1. 5 forms of ID to register a car for parking permit. A passport to leave the country only requires 2. This can easily deter people (especially young professionals) from wanting to live downtown, even with revitalization.2. Signage downtown does not tell accurate hours. I was ticketed for parking after 5 on a week night because of an event. I understand weekends, as some of the signs state, but week nights..3. I received an orange envelope without a ticket in it. Luckily I had called to figure out if I was actually ticketed or not. The reasoning was either because the parking person was unsure of what to do, someone stole it, or I lost the ticket (not something that should be told to a customer regardless if this is the case or not).
The worst parking authority ive ever had experience with, they give out tickets like crazy, they have no compassion theres a pandemic going on and people are struggling and the customer service people are horrible, they just hung up on me and didnt even give me a chance to pay the ticket over the phone, basically if they put a ticket on your car, and if something happens to the ticket and its not on your car by the time you get to your car its out of their hands, which is extremely unfair because i had no idea i even had the ticket to begin with. Ridiculous.
So I just completed a nationally recognized driver training program last week and one of the key safety shares was to always park your vehicle backwards, enabling a safer pull out.I adopted this for safety reasons and then receive a $35 parking ticket while at jury duty. So I lose a day of work and now have to pay out....you got to be kidding?!?! And the customer service representative goes on to list every sign in Allentown that states “no rear facing parking” but only one of those was in the parking deck in question. Am I really supposed to be reading every sign when parking in a deck for the first time? It’s a money grab and there is zero justification for this rule. You can write me a ticket for littering as I just threw your ticket out the window on Hamilton Blvd.
Horrible customer service, called the office to speak about a ticket and the customer service I received from Milton put him at a level of a person that really need to go back to school and get some training on customer service. If I can describe this department in one word it will be GHETTO. Thank God I don’t live in Allentown PA. One star just because it won’t let me leave it blank.
If you buy a used car and that car has a parking ticket before, regardless of the time that has passed, they will force you to pay it, even though you bought the car a short time ago. They threaten to take you to court in 15 days if you do not pay even if the ticket is not yours and if you do not speak English it is much worse because they even laugh at you, in conclusion you will have to lose a day of I work to go to court or pay the ticket that is not yours
They are telling me I owe 120 for tickets I never got. Tried to explain that to them and they told me it was my fault for not asking the guy as he was walking down the street. I also know that the one was invalid because I was back just in time. I even offered to pay the base amount that I never got a chance to pay because I didnt get the ticket in the first place. I will never patronize a business in the city of Allentown again and am now afraid to even touch bethlehem.
The most unprofessional, unprepared, clueless office. I have had the torture of interacting with ...(Besides, The Allentown School District .... Any office there is 5x worse lol)So, The woman says Can I help you... I tell her I want to renew my yearly parking permit... She looks at me and.... Get ready.... She says Im not really here right now and starts to walk away! ....🤔 I said.... Well, then it must be my lying eyes deceiving me.....😂OKAY RECAP.... SHE ASKED ME IF SHE COULD HELP ME. Then said Im not really here right now👽s... Im telling you. They all have to be 👽s running this office bc they are sure as hell are not operating like they are on 🌍..... SMH
Filled with pan handlers, litter, foul language and other things that you dont want to be around while waiting for a bus.The Lanta bus system is one of the worst in the country. I had spent 5 years traveling our beautiful country via trains and buses. Been on a lot of local buses in just about 35 states and lanta must have the dirtiest buses and 90% of the drivers are idiots. The schedule for lanta sucks as well. Busses dont depart or arrive on time.

2022-03-24An absolute joke. 6 dollars turned into 53 bc I backed into a parking space. Never again I’d rather give $200 for a limo to wait on me than you have another cent of my money. Hope it was worth it. Customer service was nice but useless so the pleasant voice didn’t mean a thing. ✌🏼

2022-05-28I have no problem paying a ticket(s) I am guilty of but this is ridiculous. I drove over 100 miles with the rest of my belongings from NY to PA, instead of the agent honking or asking me to move within 20 seconds of me pulling up near the room I just rented on 7th street they took a picture of my vehicle. I moved my vehicle 10 seconds afterwards when a resident I chatted with the day before ran up to my car & said I could be ticketed for double parking even though I just pulled up & I didn’t get out. A year & a half later I stepped out my apartment to check why my alarm kept going off to see a parking agent putting a boot on my car. After walking to the district court & speaking to the clerk I found out I was in fact ticketed that day & it was mailed to my former address in NY… Their are some good, honest parking agents to whom I’ve spoken to since moving here but the majority I see (especially on my dashcam) are not, they pick & choose who to ticket. Honestly if the customer service rep on Linden street wasn’t so nice & helpful I’d give Allentown Parking a 2 star. I’m extremely grateful the boot was removed less than an hour after paying the fine, getting a release form & paying the boot fee…

2022-04-11Thieves! Liars! extortion at its finest, charging for towing while the towing company charges also. This system is corrupt and flawed. My vehicle was towed on a Saturday, And though I could have picked it up Saturday I was told by the towing company that I had to wait till Monday for a release sheet from the parking authority. So of course I was charged for the days the car sat in their lot. You are not helping but hurting people daily and I pray that one day God will repay you for all the evil in your hearts.

2022-06-27Got a ticket for leaving my car, walking my daughter who is a kindergartener across the road to her school then getting back in my car! Literally took 2 seconds. Allentown Parking is ridiculous, why am I getting a ticket while dropping my kid off to school?? After getting the ticket I realized they drive around the school to give tickets to the parents dropping children off. Then instead of speaking to me or anything the guy stayed in his vehicle peeking at me then put his head down when I looked at him. He never handed me the ticket but instead sent it in the mail. These guys are ruthless!

2022-04-11Zero starsCorruption starts at the top and it trickles down to the rude receptionists. Their ticket officers are much worse: no compassion no empathy and non relateable to city life and therefore they treat the residents of Allentown like trash. I hope a lawyer, a city commissioner, someone from the Attorney Generals office would step in and get rid of the trash from inside before trying to clean up the outside. They are robbing a whole community, with bogus ticketing, towing and constant harrassment and racial discrimination.

2022-04-06Absolute cucks who threaten consequence for $100+ dollars because ACTIVE VEHICLE double parked. I literally watched the pretend officer pull up and whip out a $20 camera immediately without even stepping out of their car. Must live a sadder life than my own. And I hope it stays that way.

2022-06-15I performed at Gross Towers Tues, 6-14-2022, I am an amputee, I parked in a handicap spot in the back lot. The spot did NOT say ANYTHING about having to live there! I was working there! I asked someone in the back there if it was ok! She said yeah. As I was performing, my car was ticketed!! $38 it cost me! SHAY, who I talked to at the Allentown Parking Authority on Linden St. was rude!! Hung up on me! Then when I called back, she put me on hold MANY times! I called again on my Google Voice number and all of a sudden, she was able to talk as I altered my voice! SHAY should NOT be dealing with people! SO rude and obnoxious!

2022-01-29So gross they’ll stalk your residency after hours. Clearly they have no one to go home to and I can see why. These people disgust me. The fat white guy is the one that always tickets my boyfriend and I. Not to mention, everytime I get a ticket I look at the other cars near me and they don’t have a ticket. Next time I’ll leave a donut on my windshield and maybe the fatty won’t ticket me. Thank god I am leaving Allentown in February so I will not be harassed anymore.

2022-05-12Whats to say? They see any issues they will ticket you daily. Even if you have a good reason, they are very heartless. Negative stars if possible.
