Massive recliner seats 💺 are comfortable and have heat settings. Good movie experience but food and popcorn 🍿 is overpriced and not that great. Try not to sit too close to screen or you get dizzy but if you get the right seats, it’s a perfect movie experience. Would go occasionally only as parking is always nightmare to deal with in Chinatown at night. Sometimes you get lucky tho and if you get hungry 🤤 all of Chinatown food is right outside the mall, just a walk away.
Let me just say, this place is the best!!! $100 for 2 people with a slightly immodest budget and we took food home. Heated seats 😩 (at least in the companion seats, i was with someone in a wheelchair) with differebt settings!! the recliner was so comfy & clean... well not really. someone was sitting in my seat eating popcorn and got it all over the place 🙃. as soon as we left we were talking about seeing another movie there.tl:dr price: 3/5, food quality: 4.6/5, cleanliness: 4/5, staff: they did what they had to do.p.s. get the chicken tenders!! so crispy! and the honey dijon sauce is everything.
I have a gift card and was going to buy a couple of tickets. Tickets were about 50% more than Cinemark theaters charge. They then added fees that were another $10.00. For the same price, I bought 2 tickets and snacks at Cinemark. I have heard they also add on extra charges and fees for food but have not confirmed that. Definitely not consumer friendly
So we paid for jurrasic park 3d it was not 3d. Its like 2% 3d. its better to watch wirhout the glasses! Ill never again spend more money for 3d! Its not worth it! Also my glasses were dirty and I had to use my own personal glasses cleaner to comfortably wear them!also ididnt have to buy pop corn I found some inside of my seat they forgot to clean!
This review is after my third trip to the new AMC Fashion District theater.Very clean and 21st Century look and feel.Employees are well trained and pleasant to customers. You pick your seat at time of purchase in case you order food that has to be brought in to you, the employee can locate you by seat number. Seats are very comfortable with button touch leg raise feature. A well stocked bar is there for those enjoying a beverage stronger than fountain soda.I have not eaten any of the burgers, but they are not cheap at $15.00 and some change. Perhaps it is a combo and comes with soda and a side of fries or onion rings. No idea frankly, but would make the price more understandable.I asked and was told that their hot dogs costs considerable less. Thank the lord for little favors.Tuesday is bargain day with all movies all day long for only $6.30 including tax!Well maybe there is a premium for 3D and other premium film formats on top of the $6.00 basic charge. When paying, you are likely to get a soft sales pitch for one of their paid AMC membership levels above the FREE option. But they are only suggestive, not obnoxious about it.Lastly, it is on the third level of the Fashion District, nestled between 14 lane ROUND1 Bowling Ally and ROUND! Game Room on opposite side.I expect I will be enjoying many bargain Tuesday movies here.Note: Some haters on Yelp. Someone saying this venue is incredibly dirty and horrible service Or something close to this. Not true. I see 150 movies on average yearly and wont attend a theater that is horribly dirty and has horrible service.
Saw Batman here. Thr theathre is clean. People sut un their assigned seating. I wish the stadium seat lounged more. The food menu is lackluster for vegetarians. Try getting veggie burgers. You cant even get a side salad. Everything has meat except the fries. I had to get the pretezel bites. Yo not going the lie the pretezel bites were the truth.
Wow has this place gone down hill. Went there on a Saturday night, the floor by the soda machine was insanely sticky, all napkin dispensers were empty, the movie started almost 15min late, and I saw a mouse run down the aisle. Fire alarm went off as soon as the premovie stuff made it on screen so we just left. Will never return
I had a good experience with the AMC in the Fashion District. Customer service was great. The theater was clean and bright. I hope they keep it this way. No complaints with this theater. The seats recline and I had no problem with the movie quality. I waited to go on a Tuesday to get the $5 movie tickets. Popcorn was tasty.
Brought my mother to the theater and she brought a meal and a bottled beverage and she asked for a cup of ice and she was told she couldn’t have a cup of ice….smhI had to ask for 2 managers to get a child’s cup of ice…they treat you as if you want to steal and beverage after you already paid for their overpriced food!!!!!! The audacity…..as if going to the movies is cheap nowadays!!!!!
This theatre is located on the 3rd level of the newly opened mall on Market Street named, The Fashion District. I never experienced a Dine In movie theatre, so I gave it a try. The auditorium (#8) was large with stadium seating (recliner and heated). The digital projection was clear and sound was crisp. A very good film experience. For dining you go to the left after giving your ticket and place your order. It is then brought to your seat and placed on a swivel table to eat. The food selection is similar to a TGIFs. My Avocado Chicken Grill was tasty. Be prepared the cost is in the typical movie house price range and Philly has a hefty sugar beverage tax added. There are also alcoholic beverages available. I have no idea how they keep the floors clean, with serving food, but everything was clean. Ive included the menu in my photos. All in all, a nice Wednesday 4.30pm experience.
Extremely clean and very well staffed for everything .food is pricey as all theaters n its center city but delivered to your chair table if u wishHigh quality toChairs are super comfortable .Bathrooms spotless and a bar and lounge areaJoin the AMC Stubbs monthly membership n see up to 12 movies a month freeNo restrictions
On the third floor of the new fashion district, this movie theater is incredible. Super comfy seats that recline, with personal tables for food/drinks. Big selection of food and drinks to get before the movie starts. Burgers, beers, etc. A large beer (20 oz) was $11.29 and burgers are $15ish but come with fries. The best part is it’s new, and there is an awesome bowling alley/bar/pool tables/arcade on the same floor of the theater that is also available. Very cool spot.
I got to say its been at least 2 years since Ive been at the movies because of obvious pandemic but this place was very nice and clean and very respectable staff and the bar is very inviting and reclining chairs with healable cushions so no more wearing baggy clothes freezing for me while Im watching the movie
Watched 1917 in theater 1 where Dolby digital was available. You can buy beer, wine fun the full bar outside and bring in it and you can also order certain types of food life for nachos to be brought to you during the movie. A large pale Ale will set you back $12 so you may wanna bring your own cans of beer here. Seats are like all AMC retractable with foot rest. Bathrooms clean but small so you may wanna leave asap end of the movie to relieve yourself.
Food is always cold when u wait for them to deliver it to your seat. Which typically takes about 45 minutes to be delivered. This is my 3rd time here and it’s been this way every time. Also the seats don’t work and they are suppose to be recliners. Also the bar was never open on each occasion.
Despite boasting heated seats, they are not available in their premium Prime theater. The food ordering was a bit annoying. Despite being able to order in advance at other theaters for seat delivery, you just do everything in person at the theater with a cashier. Then they only deliver you part of your order, and you have to carry everything else. The food was ok but not worth the price, but thats movie snacks for you. Its also completely dark when the movie starts, unlike Painters crossing (another dine in theater) that featured small lights at the seats to eat.
Great place to emersively watch a movie on a big screen with great sound. Super cushy electrically adjustable seats with feet rests. Reserve your seat in advance. You can buy food and booze and bring it to your seat... its good quality but expect to pay out the nose. You are supposed to be able to order from your seat and they will deliver to you, but that service was not offered when we went to see Dune recently... maybe a COVID thing?
We enjoyed movie and seats but I’m so disappointed about dine-in (apart from the fact that the food is very junk).I ordered food couple hours before movie during booking tickets. Food was supposed to come 10 minutes after movie started. After 30 minutes delay I walked to service to check it out. Got information they don’t have available half our order but nobody notified us and didn’t deliver the rest of it. I picked up what was ready and cold already and asked to replace to missing part with different food. It was supposed to be delivered in couple minutes. I waited the other half hour and after all I got different food than I requested. I didn’t eat it… I’m so disappointed and definitely don’t recommend dine-in in this place://
Nice movie theater. Clean, the seats have seat warmers and recline. You can also order food at the concession stand and they get your ticket information and take it to you. This is very important because I wasnt aware of this, being as it was my first time and the cashier was extremely rude. She gave me an attitude as if I was supposed to miraculously know how it worked and when I told her that I didnt have my ticket on me because it was on someone elses phone she told me that she couldnt give me my food because she needed my seat number. I gave her my seat number and put my order in. Great movie theater but some staff needs customer service training.
The A-list membership is worth it if you see movies often, which I do. You can see three movies a week and the price pays for itself after 2 movies a month so its a steal if you are a frequent movie goer. The seats recline and warm which is delightful. And you can have food brought to you. The food is junk food, not great food but the kind of food you would expect at a theater, and the bathrooms are not the cleanest. But the structure of the theaters are nice, the seats are very comfortable, and there is a bar which is nice.
They need more people, they bring food but if u in the wrong seat they wont give it to you or ask if you ordered even if its just you in the entire row. Also they take a long time with items I ordered pretzel and it took over a half an hour and they were cold. Movie theater itself is good and. They keep the ace clean including the bathrooms
Theater it’s pretty cool. Except we paid for the prime experience and the seats didn’t vibrate like expected. Also we pre-ordered our food which is cool server brought us everything except one of our drinks. Turns out this is a glitch that happens when you order online. She was missing in action so I had to go up to the front to resolve the issue myself. Shout out to the manager who was very accommodating and apologize for the inconvenience. They gave us movie passes to make up for the failed movie experience. Overall ok experience.
Went there to see Respect. Theater did not alternate available seats, even though the movie was not sold out. My sister and I pre-purchased our tix/seats and we both found ourselves seated directly next to others. She was seated next to someone with no mask who coughed periodically through the film. Seats were comfortable and theater was clean, however. We didnt order food but the theater staff seemed to have some difficulty locating those seated near us who did. It was distracting. Ill go back, though. I know what the situation is now and Ill just move to a vacant seat if necessary and available.
This is for those neglectful parents who allowed their toddler to run around the movie theater unhinged without saying a word. I’d rather withdraw my theater appreciation and watch movies at home. Please have an attendant check in on the children’s theaters every once in a while. Keep your rowdy kids home
The worst movie experience. TWICE!I came here one evening with my friend to see Cruella. My friend waited for a while for the bartender to show up and I waited a while to order the food. The bartender didn’t have limes and the concession stand didn’t have the food my friend wanted.I went again yesterday and that is the last time I’ll be returning there. I waited at the front to scan my ticket because the ticket staff was off helping someone else. Nobody else was in line to scan their tickets. We arrived early so we hoped to grab a drink at the bar. After waiting around for 5 minutes, my boyfriend asked the ticket scanner staff to find the bartender for us, because she was not behind the bar. When she finally arrived, we proceeded to order and she interrupted us to demand ID. We provided our ID’s and of course she had to ask again for our drink order. She begrudgingly made our drinks, without a mask on and then brushed us off.The concession stand is really where things went downhill. We waited in line for 15 minutes, when only 3 customers were in front of us. I finally get to the front and they are out of pretzel bites, which was the snack food I really wanted to enjoy. I ordered a few other things and scanned my card. Immediately after, the concession staff said they were out of pretzel bites. So she had to void the sale and start over, but first she read the longgggg list of out-of-stock items to me. After all that, they really only had chicken tenders, popcorn, and mozzarella sticks. Apparently they had an “issue” with the refrigerator the night before. So $60 later and no items I really wanted, we headed to the theater.I waited 40 minutes for our food to be delivered to my seat! Plus the people sitting next to me were talking, laughing, and recording throughout the whole movie!! So many staff members walked by them and never said anything. It was the most disruptive movie I’ve ever attended! This was such a bad experience, I couldn’t wait to leave! And I love the movies.I do not recommend this theater unless you like, unmasked and rude staff, a very limited menu, and constant undesirable commentary throughout your movie. The seats are comfy though!
We went here to see Shang-Chi and had a good time. The Dolby Cinema screen was really big, and the seats rumble along with the movie, which is fun but can perhaps also be overstimulating if youre prone to getting overwhelmed by movie theaters in general. We didnt get a chance to try their food, since the lines for concessions were pretty long.
I liked how clean the theater was and how cool the seating was and the sound quality was 🔥🔥🔥but the only thing I didnt like is that the food took a long time and I had to go back up to the front and ask them what happened with it and the manager brought it out to me!! But I wasnt the only one that had happened to while I was in there!! It was like me and 4 or 5 other dudes!! They just never got there food and had to go to the front!! But other than that its a cool place!! I say just eat some food downstairs in the good court or outside at a restaurant or something so you wont have to go through that with the food!! ✌🏾
Very Pleasant Experience. July 30, 2021 was my 1st time here. There is contact-less ticket ordering here. The front area is spacious and beautiful. There is a bar, and the theater is next to the arcade on the top floor of the mall. I ordered the most gown-up item on the menu (the steak and shrimp bowl) and they verify your seat number before you sit down. I accidentally picked a seat near the front --thinking I was picking one in the back. But its ok because the seats recline and theyre heated too. Short wait time for my food which was delicious. Room temperature and sound quality were great. I will come again if I think theres a film worth seeing.FYI- remember that some mall exits close after 8pm, and the nearby 11th St El station closes at 8pm for cleaning. If you want to take the El after a late movie, you will have to walk to either 8th St or 13th St station.
Bought tickets and ordered from the menu the night before. That went great! Got to the theater 15 minutes before but our food did come until well into the movie. The seats were very comfortable. Next time Id rather stand in line and order myself cuz dessert came with my meal and ice cream was already melted, smh!
Favorite theater in Philly! Always clean since they opened in 2019. I wish they put an IMAX screen instead of a PRIME screen. They already also have a Dolby screen, which SHOULD BE EVERYONE’S GO TO SCREEN FOR BIG BLOCKBUSTERS WITH LOTS OF ACTION. But I still think they should somehow take off one of the regular DINE-IN theater and the PRIME theater and use the space to make an IMAX screen. Anyways, love this theater. I hope they keep up the cleanliness like they have so far!
First time here today, to see Cruella. It was our first indoor activity since getting vaccinated. For a Saturday afternoon (1:15pm showtime), it wasnt super packed and we were easily able to get seats online the day before. Might be because it was a holiday shore weekend or the afternoon show time. I liked that theyre doing the spaced out seating right now for social distancing, but that will probably end soon with the city going no-limits on Wednesday 6/2. Tbd!The theatre itself is great. Seats recline and even have heaters! I loved that feature since it was a rainy cold day for May. The tray table with the cup holder is nice, but I feel like its hard to share anything that way if youre cheap like us and just get one giant soda and refill it, haha.We didnt do the Dine-in experience or get alcohol from the bar but I could see doing that in the future. Honestly I think someone bringing food to me in the middle of the movie would be distracting. That said, we decided to get a soda and waiting in line was a pain. The line moved quickly at first but then this massive family of people kept inviting more of their party up to the front to order and no one working there said anything and just allowed them to continue jumping the line and of course they didnt know what they wanted so it took forever. Hard eye roll.I wasnt sure if maybe there was some kind of kiosk where we could place an order to have it delivered or if we had to do so from the counter so its unclear to me how to actually get the Dine-In experience. Maybe you have to download their app. I know there was a way to order when you booked your tickets and from the email after, but I would have liked a way to do it without pulling out my phone. (Though, today we werent hungry and it was all moot point.)Overall, the location of the theatre is convenient so I am sure Ill be back but hopefully the line improves or we figure out how to do the Dine-In option because that situation today was annoying.
It was great to be back in the theater! One of my favorites pastimes. Been to this theater multiple times before the Covid-19 pandemic. Lets see...stadium seating...✔️, recliner chairs...✔️, clean theater...✔️, clean bathrooms...✔️. The only thing that was different was the menu. Pre-pandemic the menu was much more expansive compared to post-pandemic menu. Perhaps as time goes on the menu will be more. The theater wasnt crowed only a handful of people. According to atom tickets my showtime was sold-out but it definitely wasnt a sold-out crowd. 🤷🏿♂️🤷♂️🤷🏻♂️
My Family and I Truly enjoyed Ourselves Finally being able to go to the Movies once again @ The Fashion District 2021!!Which is Truly the Closest Movie Theater to Myself and Family.I have to give a Very Special Thank You to the AMC Marple 10 location in Springfield, PA & Employees for being Open and There for Entertainment purposes for Myself, Family and Others during and throughout this whole COVID-19 situation!!Thank You from the Bottom of My Heart for Your Service in 2020, when Parents Needed Somewhere to take Our Children and Feel some kind of Normalcy once again in Our lives 🤗🤩🙏🏽😇🕊️💯Signed:One Very Happy Momma 😉🤗
Very crowded. Make sure to get tickets in advance or you wont get a seat or youll get the last of what is there and have to sit in the worst seats. If you know how philly people are then youll know that the people there are going to be rude and inconsiderate. Dont be surprised to be having to sit next to some people that will talk loudly thru the whole movie.
Just went to see The new James Bond and the film shut off in the last 10 minutes and we missed the whole ending. We were told to exit the theater and building. Since we bought the tickets at the theater I have no way to get a refund. Nor can I request a refund on AMC’s website. VERY DISAPPOINTED.I’ll never go to this theater again.
I been coming to this theater because it’s in the gallery and they bring the food to your seat, I done seen like 5 movies in the last month and the food comes fast the bathrooms are clean the chairs heat up and recline. The only bad experience I had with them was when I was running a little bit behind schedule now they let me in like 30 minutes after the movie started by by then the kitchen was closed I couldn’t even buy myself something to drink but that was my fault I guess 🤷🏽♀️ Other than that I highly recommend the place
Formerly known as the gallery, it cleaned up really well. The addition of a theater was surprising. The Theater boasts a bar and lounging area for you to hang while waiting for friends or for your movie to start. The concession is pricey (like any theater quite frankly). The food is okay at best. You may be better just grabbing popcorn and some candy as opposed to their heavier plates as theyre lack luster (at least in my eyes). Ive had wings and they were terrible in all honesty and there milkshakes are nothing to call home about. Having food delivered while seated though is nice and the chairs do recline all the way back. The IMAX experience is impressive. Final gripe, the kiosks do not take cash and I dont know if I was an isolated incident but AMC charged my card a near 2 weeks later after my purchase which is incredibly inconvenient.
Nice addition for city-dwellers...most comfortable seating for any movie theater in the area. I really enjoyed the ability to recline and the seats were very cushy. I wasnt aware ahead of time that we would have to select specific seats on our ticket - it worked out ok, but I would advise people who want to come to this theater to reserve in advance so they are able to get seats together with their group.I didnt have any of the food or drinks so I cant comment on that. The staff at concessions were efficient and pleasant. However, the one area of failure was that the floors had food on them and the food tray on my seat and several others around me were dirty and had obviously not been cleaned between showings. For a place thats only been open for a couple of weeks, this was pretty disheartening.Ill keep going back for movies as I think its the best option in the city, but I hope that the cleaning is kept up.
This area was once the mall we all would go to to hang out, since Covid doesnt seem like there is much of that going on anymore, but with this Dine-In Theater and my A-List status I expect to revisit often. Just wish the food was a little better, option are good but the food taste off.
Only problem I had is staff is learning, but that is to be expected with a new location. I had a burger and fries and soda, which I ordered about 5 ten minutes before my film and they brought it right to my seat before the feature started. Theater its had reclining seats with sliding tray which makes eating your food easier. The theater is a decent size compared to AMC on Broad Street. The sound quality is excellent, especially because you dont hear other theaters movies while watching yours. The location in the fashion district makes easy to get too because it right next Jefferson Station and Market Frankford line is not to far. As AMC A list member I am so thrilled to have a high quality movie experience in the city. So overall food is excellent, theater very comfortable and location awesome.
A welcomed addition to Center City! Its brand new, so the quality and cleanliness of the theaters are top notch. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the ticket taker is after the concession stand, so if you are an A-List member its awkward and challenging to hold your popcorn and your drink and also try to fish out your phone for your ticket and pull out your ID for them to verify. Maybe put a surface there so we can put down our snacks?Besides all that, this movie-going experience is perfect.
Not, sure if its something new that the reclining seats dont recline all the way. I have a bad back and that was uncomfortable. At least if the lower part of the recliner wouldve brought my legs higher even if the back didnt recline all the way, wouldve made it more comfortable. With independent buttons that individually adjust recline and leg lift and help you slide out. Yes, the Prime seating was interesting with reverberating film-responsive subwoofers.
I’m a Philadelphia local who enjoys going to the movies. After AMC Broadstreet 7 no longer became a great option, due to a lack of comfort and cleanliness, I was hopeful for this theater. It’s located in a brand new, large shopping mall called the Fashion District- replacing The Gallery from years ago.My first few experiences at AMC Dine-in Fashion District 8 were pretty standard. Food was decent, service was decent, and theater was clean and comfortable with working reclining chairs. Now, after just a few short months, I’m back for my third experience. It’s awful to say the least. The staff seems uninterested and distracted. There is popcorn everywhere, and people waiting over 20 minutes to get into a movie that starts in 10 minutes.I understand that not everything, and not every theater, can be perfect. I’m not expecting perfection, just friendly staff who remotely cares, and a semi-clean theater. I am hoping this is just one experience. I’ll give them another shot, but after that- three strikes and you’re outta here.
We saw 1917 in the Dolby theater a couple of days ago. Definitely the nicest theater in the area and we usually go to Plymouth Meeting. We both had burgers which came quickly and were passable. Theater was spotless although there was spilled popcorn all over by the soda machines.Get the Stubs Premiere membership; its $15 a year and allows you to go in the quicker line for food, gets rid of fees when you buy tickets, and you get points for your purchases. Well worth it!Hopefully Philly doesnt screw this up.
A great addition in the historic downtown of Philadelphia! Known as The Gallery before and some still calls it that. This place is a blessing for us who works downtown. I can go watch a movie in a neat environment and fairly priced ticket without having to drive or commute too far. The reclining seats are awesome. The screen and sound system is as good as it can get. An amusement place just outside of the theater is there if you want to just chill.
The new fashion district is all that! I was very impressed with all it has to offer. AMC is wonderful. You can dine and watch a movie. For you adults there is alcoholic beverages. The game room is also impressive. Bowling allies. Large pool tables. Pinball machines. With food counters. A great place for making it a day of fun. A must visit on a off day. See you there.
One of the best theaters around for watching movies but the food was a tragic. Even with expectations of overpriced so/so theater food...this was bad. Fries were good, but the chicken sandwich had...without hyperbole...the worst piece of chicken Ive ever put in my mouth. Stringy, tough, and the strangest texture that can only be described as somehow chalky. It was actually mildly challenging to eat it without gagging from physical interference, not taste. Taste wasnt horrible, but the piece of meat was so bad it pretty much made flavor a moot point. The privilege of this meal and a drink set me back $24For the rest of the theater the staff was kind, the seats were amazing, the sound and picture were, again, top tier. Just eat someplace else.
I’m glad to have a movie theater in this location, but this place is not a true dine-in. You don’t order at your seat like at the Studio Movie Grill at 69th st. You have to go early to wait in line and order at the concession stand. The menu offerings are pretty limited (not what’s shown for their website) and they said no to our request to have the chicken for the tacos on a separate plate. The mozzarella sticks at Round 1 next door were tastier and cheaper than at the AMC and the theater burger and nachos were also mediocre and over-priced. We go to the movies a lot and will not add this place into our rotation despite the good location. It wasn’t horrible, just nothing to look forward to.
Seats were okay. But the quality of the food was laughably poor. Nothing like it was advertised. We weren’t expecting restaurant quality cuisine, but the fries were cold, the chicken tasted like it had been made hours earlier and left out, and the Mac and cheese tasted like it came out of a box. We essentially paid 50 dollars for fast food that was barely edible
If you are expecting a waiter to take your order at your seat or even to be able to use the AMC to place a food order, it aint gonna happen. That said, you can expect to wait on line at the concession stand to order that cheeseburger and THEN have it delivered to your seat. And apparently the Premiere line makes no difference here as the concession line was a free for all.Other than that, food was fine, movie worked and bathrooms were clean. So that.
Ordered food and drinks at the bar before my show. There was only 1 bar tender who was terrific but it took over a hour and half for my food to arrive to the bar area. The food was mediocre. I advised the Manager of my wait time and in turn offered me a free soda. When it came time for my Movie to start the theater was still being cleaned by staff. No to mention the womens bathroom was dirty.
I love film and going to the movies. AMC is a huge part of the reason why. Their theaters are always well maintained, their staff is friendly, and their reclining seats are super comfortable. The new AMC at the fashion district is no exception. Ive been to Dine-In theaters before and I really like AMCs take on the concept. Also, I love that theres a Dolby theater located 10 minutes away from where I work. Looking forward to making this theater a regular hangout.
Center City is in desperate need of a better theater experience. The theater itself was fine, I saw a film in their Dolby auditorium and the sound was awesome but the service here is anything but. I live just outside of walking distance so I called here the morning of my prepaid showing to see if they validate parking and they confirmed that they did.Upon leaving the theater after my movie was done, I felt like a detective trying to figure out which employee validates parking while committing the cardinal sin of distracting them from their phones. Then Im told that they dont validate past 6 PM, which was never mentioned when I called. Long story short, I had to bite the bullet on $24 for parking at the convention center garage. Im an AMC stubs member so I typically go to the movies multiple times a week but Ill be eliminating this location from my rotation. Do better AMC!
It’s a pretty good theater, and not crowded on a Friday afternoon, which was pretty cool! I hope it stays like this, but since the place is new, maybe not. Either way, everything is clean, neat, and be patience because the staff is still learning. They’re very sweet people. (:
Actually had to change my rating from a 2 star to a 1 Star...This place NEEDS better Bartenders who can actually mix drinks. I asked for 2 non complicated drinks and each time the bartender messed up the drink order Only After I got passed up by other patrons who got to the bar area minutes after I’ve been sitting calmly there. It got to the point where I changed my mind about the drink order and canceled. Too bad I didn’t feel like working and coming across the counter and making the drink myself....AMC hiring department do better
This place is just another disappointment in the new “Fashion district” a pathetically empty, poorly designed redo of the failed gallery and gallery II. Our seats still had the residue from their last tenants. The girl who checked us in spoke so quietly couldn’t understand a thing she said. Little did we know that the film names were not on the theater. And don’t ask anyone because they don’t know. Only one concession clerk who didn’t know how to run the register and looked stoned. And by the way after hours you have to enter off Filbert St. but no signs to tell you that. Hope they improve everything or they will out of business like everything that’s been in that space before it. Oh and unlike other movie taverns you have to stand in the concession line then wait for your food to be delivered halfway into the film. Overall here twice, not going back.
Beautiful, brand new theater in Center City (downtown) Philadelphia. Wow! The heated, adjustable seats are amazing, as well as the armrests on both sides of the seat. If the theater is going to be a long-term success, they will need proactive ushers to watch the room and enforce no talking policies, etc.
This Saturday (11/9/19) was my first visit to this AMC. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the projector and it took them 1/2hr. to fix the issue. So when they finally got it fixed they skipped the previews and started the movie. They apologized for the inconvenience and handed out free movie vouchers to everyone at the Dolby Cinema. I understand that it’s new to the area and these little hiccups happen the first few weeks, so it didn’t bother me.I didn’t order anything for my first Dine-in experience. I just wanted to get a sense of the place. Update: On my second visit to this theater I did order a bacon cheeseburger and fries; it wasnt anything special. I won’t ordering food at lot of the times I’ll visit this theater (I mostly do matinees and eat afterward).I have to compare this theater to the Neshaminy AMC because it’s the one I frequent the most and before this week the only AMC to have a Dolby Cinema in the area (though it doesn’t have a Prime like this one). Basing this only on the two Dolby Cinemas: The leather chairs are better at the Neshaminy. The seats are wider and the controls to the recliner are digital, found on top of the arm rest, while the AMC Dine-In’s are basic buttons on the side of the arm rest (due to the tray attached to the seat). The chairs in both locations recline just about same. As for screens and sound: Neshaminy takes it again with a wider screen and dynamic sound; It was so-so at the Dine-In.There are pros of the Dine-In: Every theater has reclined seating. The theater seats fewer people (always a plus). The wait staff weren’t as distracting as I feared they’d be; the food was brought to the attendees prior to the start of the movie. The best part of this AMC is its accessibility. I can hop on the El and be downtown in 20mins. It’s also only a few blocks from work for me; I can choose to take in a movie after work or take off early to catch a matinee (I’ll mostly be doing the latter).Overall it was a positive experience. I just hope, like the rest of this renovated mall, they maintain it.
Dont waste your time !!! They said at the door they arent doing Dine -In because of COVID and not mention they dont even sell water or snacks to have in the theater SOOO Lame!!! They said its the citys rule against it but eating in a theatre doesnt have anything to do the virus??? The restaurants are open. Then we decided to get Wetzels Pretzels and eat it at the tables in the lobby and they said no outside food. Then we sat on the stairs and they said its a fire hazard lmaooo!!! I cant believe this.. with Joe Biden this COVOD rule BS will be even worse!! Im so over these rules it doesnt make anything fun!!!
I was highly disappointed in the fact that I was asked for my seat number but my food never came after 30 mins in an empty theater. I had to miss the beginning of my movie to go back out to inquire about my food. Some of the staff were on their phones which was a distraction and 1 even had in airpods when taking my order and I had to keep repeating the order to him.
I really like going to the Fashion District the stores are great. I am very disappointed that there is no more indoor doning there . the food court is closed. If all the other restaurants are open in Center City then the Fashion Districts food court should definitely be opened.
The tickets here are way too expensive. It cost $37.77 for two people to see a movie. Obviously we didnt get any snacks. The experience isnt any better than other theaters in the area. I will not be coming back and would never recommend this as a place to see a movie.
Nice clean theatre. Went on discounted Tuesdays... Our movie was in a Premium theatre which ment the price wasnt the typical discounted $6 amc price. Notice of that on website would be nice so ppl can prepare accordingly. I believe it was $9. But overall and enjoyable experience.

2022-01-14I was surprised at how clean and safe an environment it was at this theater. I hadnt been out to a movie since before the pandemic and I was a little concerned about people following the rules but everyone seemed to be behaved. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful except, oddly enough, the young lady at the guest services desk?!?! I did not dine in as it wasnt the time of day for a meal but the seats, floors, and restroom were spotless. Nice picture and good sound quality. I would recommend a visit!

2022-07-10My husband and I enjoy Dine-In movie theaters. This AMC was far for us but seeing all the good reviews about this place, we said sure why not try it. We wont be going back. No one talked about how AMC has no personal parking space. Luckily we had left almost an hour early from NJ to be able to get there on time for the showing, because we had to drive around looking for parking. We had to walk 10 min from our parking structure to the AMC. Then find out the theater is inside a center, on the 3rd Floor. We dont mind the walking at all, but no one mentioned any of these little details. We walked in, the ticket guy was rude, he didnt say hello back or even welcome, he mumbled his words as he told us where the theater was.In the phone app it says go straight to you seat, we will bring your food to you. So we did. We were on the app for about 10 minutes trying to get our selections because any selection we made it was blacked out or wouldnt add to order. So we had to leave the theater to go to the concessions, to order our food and they were rude. No good customer service at all. Then when our order was ready, they didnt even bring it to us. My husband had to go see about it and then ended up coming back with it. So that sucked for our first time. The place was dirty. The bathrooms were dirty. We had a 7pm showing so when we left the AMC later on that night, all the escalators to go down were blocked off and closed. There was only one way down and out the building, and we came out on the side of the greyhound station. So overall it wasnt worth the drive and money. It was expensive, the food was cold, the fries you could tell werent fresh fries. They had been stale and brown. Some of my chicken tenders were hard and looked more like nuggets then tenders. I was disappointed, and disappointed in AMC at this location. We definitely wont be back. What makes for a great experience, and brings people back is great customer service and good quality food. This AMC dine-in wouldnt be the one I tell my friends to come to sadly

2022-04-27What a magical movie experience from the moment you walk into this AMC. Lets first of say the food selection was nothing like I have ever seen before. The food is also delivered to your seat. The theater was super nice! The seats were very comfortable with reclining action and also have a mini table/tray for food and drinks. The picture and sound quality was 5 stars. This AMC movie theater is a must.

2022-05-12The most wonderful experience Ive had in a while after joining AMC Stubs A-List and received 2 Free!Movies... Seriously, I can still see another one this week! Its the best deal ever!!!3 Free movies a week! If youre single and have some time on your hands, like 😲 wow!Again three free movies a week, I was skeptical at first until I checked it out. I want to see Dr strange and then seen it 30 minutes later in 3D both movies were free. And normally the movie cost $21 but with this plan it was $21.95 a month but the first month is only .99 cents.

2022-07-03Took the kiddos to the movies. Everything was good. They did however need to clean and restock the area where u fill up ur drinks and get butter for your popcorn. Those areas were nasty. My seat and my sons seat wouldnt recline and because when we bought our tickets it said they sold out they said we couldnt move our seats. But come to find out the movie wasnt sold out at all and there were plenty of seats we could have moved to. Once the movie started we moved and enjoyed the movie.

2022-06-01It’s a nice theater in that it’s new, the seats are comfortable, and the picture/sound is usually pretty good. However, almost every time we’ve gone recently there is some kind of issue. We saw Top Gun last night and there was an issue with the projector that made the whole screen flicker orange / blue constantly. It went on for 15 minutes before they stopped the movie, fixed it, and restarted it. A couple weeks prior the AC was not on in our theater and it was oppressively hot and stifling. Everyone around us was complaining in disbelief at how hot it was. Another time a fire alarm went off 2 separate times during the movie and delayed finishing by half an hour. I’ve had good experiences there too but having some kind of issue 3 of the last 4 times has been frustrating.

2022-05-09My best friend and I have had a tradition of going to the movies for every major release, and this is our new theater go-to. The Dolby theater is top notch comfort, picture, and sound.Food isn’t bad, but I’d probably eat somewhere else and just grab popcorn

2022-03-20Super comfortable seats, great sight lines in Row G. Carmel corn was delicious and delivered to our seats. Sound and projection was perfect. The only downside was 20 minutes of advertising and previews before the feature film started. On the positive side was lower ticket price before 3 pm.

2022-02-02Liked the lounge seats and especially the heating device. Good low salt popcorn. Nice and clean theatre. But staff of 5 were huddled together not helping patrons with locations and directions.

2022-05-16The employees here are extremely rude. First of all, they were all just standing around at the concession stand doing absolutely nothing and didn’t greet me or anyone I was with upon arrival. It was my first time at this location so I wasn’t sure if the dine in menu was separate from the rest of the menu. I asked one of the employees where the dine in menu was and she rudely pointed upward without saying anything nor did she even greet me before I asked the question. Also, I couldn’t see the menu because I wear glasses and I asked if there was a closer option of the menu (usually a paper copy) that I could look at since I couldn’t see it. The employee rudely said no and walked away so I ordered nothing. Not to mention the options are very vague anyway and pretty basic. Save your money and go to a different amc dine in location. This one has terrible customer service, overpriced, and basic menu options.
