Very sturdy furniture love my set. The delivery guys Chris and Cam were very respectful and went above and beyond when they delivered the set. They need a raise seeing when they deliver they have to really struggle to get furniture into some homes. I am greeting appreciated that they were the ones here to set up my living room
Delivery guys were great. The store did not provide the promised delivery date.We were told 6 weeks which is 42 days and it arrived at the store in 51 days. Almost cancelled order. Chris and his partner were great. Got the mattresses off the truck and put in garage exactly where I told them. They had to go back to the store to get the cover we bought and turned it around in two hours after another stop. The delivery was the best experience of the transaction.
Went into the store and placed an order on April 16,2021.I was told I would have my furniture in 5-6 weeks AT THE LATEST. It is now June 25. So it is now 10 weeks later and no word from them..when i call to talk to them they say we have no idea when i will receive purchased and paid for items. So unless you are buying something in store i would not recommend anything that is on sale that has to be ordered..Great prices i guess we will see if it is worth waiting so far an extra four and ongoing weeks
Very satisfied with my purchase! All the sales people are great! Got my furniture I ordered a whole lot sooner than expected so that was a plus too! The delivery guy Chris and his partner are awesome! The came quick, delivered and left quickly! Lol! Thanks again everyone! Will be ordering again soon!
I really like this place the staff have always been friendly and helpful to us while we made our furniture selection. They have furniture to fit every budget and whats also great about this place they offer FREE LAYAWAY! with NO EXACT PAY OFF DATE! AS LONG AS YOUR MAKING GOOD EFFORT TOO PAY WHAT YOU CAN ON YOUR LAYAWAY THEY seem NOT TO MIND.
Absolutely wonderful purchasing experience. Jon was a great help made every effort to make things affordable and get me set up exactly with what I wanted. Big shout out to Drew for helping me get set up at the house. The folks here really took the time to make sure I was completely satisfied. Even after finding out my end tables wouldnt fit, they accepted my return without question. I definitely left there without feeling like I just got sold something. Highly recommend.
My wife and I purchased a new house and were on the hunt for a new sectional couch and easy chair. We walked in on a Friday night about 15 minutes before closing. We were promptly greeted by and employee named Scott. He patiently listened to what we were looking for and helped us find the perfect sectional/chair combo. While he is a new employee and was unsure of some of our questions he was eager to find answers we needed and was helped by a coworker named Lee. Both gentleman (and the other employees finishing for the day) were all very cordial and accommodating to questions and knowledgeable on answers. We didnt finalize our purchase as we had to review our budget beforehand. Today I stepped back into the store where I was greeted by Scott who greeted me by name and was able to get our order processed and handled with ease. As soon as another need for furniture arises we will DEFINITELY be back!
Everyone who helped me and my daughter at this American Freight location were just wonderful! We were given great service and the employees went out of their way to help me find the best deals for my, very-limited, budget.Terrell and Jon were the great with their abilities at brainstorming and negotiating the best prices for me. I am extremely grateful for them working on my behalf.The best of all was Chris Sanchez. Hes the owner of the shipping company that works with American Freight. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I got furniture that will fit into my tiny apartment. This whole transaction takes away any doubts I would have had. Shipping was a little late, but Chris really made up for it. Thank you all so much!
I would like to thank Roy for is wonderful customer service and all the time and Patience that he gave especially for all of his help and input. Helping us to find everything that we needed being helpful with his ideas on certain things always making sure that we were okay while helping other customers. The staff there was pleasant and kind with smile at all time. They just made you feel welcomed and not like you were bothering anyone. I would highly recommend Freight Furniture Erie Pa.
The customer service experience was amazing, but we were NOT informed of the $99 delivery fee at ANY point during the transaction. This was a total surprise only told to us on the day of delivery. One product also came without the proper bolts which we were also unaware of. Overall, the experience was decent but I do not think we will be buying from them again. They do not assemble (which is totally fine) and the in-store experience was the most pleasing part of the whole transaction. Also note that you cant make transactions over the phone to order but have to be in store, just a heads up since at some point their phone service was compromised.
Simone and John were amazing with assisting us with options and information about the furniture we were looking at. They were very knowledgeable, kind, friendly and helpful. Great customer service and the store has a great showroom with plenty of options, deals, discounts and availability. Highly recommend!
When I first walked walked in, Simone welcomed us with open arms and was very polite. She showed us a variety of wonderful choices of sectionals and was helpful the whole time! She also showed us choices she thought we would like and I even found a very comfortable swivel chair which she knew I would like!! She explained things well and thoroughly and I very much enjoyed my visit! Thank you so very much!!
The delivery guy, Chris, and his crew is the reason for the 5 stars. Not really the friendliest staff as far as sales go and have had difficulty getting the items I want when I want (not due to delivery schedule), but as i mentioned, all the aggravation is blurred by the friendliest delivery team Ive encountered. In a world that has forgotten the value of good customer service, its refreshing to see Chris and his crew strive to provide just that! At this point, they may be the real reason we keep coming back to American Freight.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Do not for any reason buy from American Freight. They are the most unprofessional company ever. They suck the money out of you without delivering on promises and refuse to contact you back. I got a couch from them delivered (which by the way does not actually have a same day delivery service like described.) I asked the lady in-store and then contacted on line to see if my stuff would be set up because I wasn’t paying for delivery if it came in boxes and there swore it was, (it wasn’t.) Anyways my couch came ripped so when I called to get it replaced they swore next Saturday so I waited a week and then all day and no couch. I call end of day and they tell me it’s out of stock but they are gonna get one in by Next Wednesday for me. I get a call Wednesday promising me a couch by five aclock and wait all day and call to see if it’s for sure coming. Shocker it’s almost 9pm and no couch. I’m so freaking mad it’s not even funny I want them to just come and take their trash back because honestly giving them money makes me sick to my stomach.
Just got done at the Erie American Freight furniture and Mattress. Had the best SalesMan EVER! Jon was a super delight, he was so helpful and patient with us. He made the experience so enjoyable and were extremely satisfied with everything we got. HUGE SHOUTOUT TO JON. YOURE AMAZING MAN!!!
Go to Freds, much better luck there and better prices! They wont scam you on delivery like these people! Wish I could give American Freight 0 stars!! Charged over $100 for delivery which we didnt know until AFTER that it DOESNT come assembled, thats an additional $50. These fools show up in a simple car with my brand new furniture strapped on top of their hood! Are you kidding me? Not in a trailer, barely secured. Dont buy here! Freds Furniture is so much better! Only charged me $50 for delivery and that included the entire set up of our bedroom set. Lets hope nothing is wrong with my brand new furniture.
I always had a good experience here. So today I decided to bring my 74yr old grandma who is looking for an entire bed set and a furniture set. No one helped us. No one even said hello. We looked around and had so many questions. Not one worker would answer one of them or even stop for a second from talking with one another. And it wasnt even busy. Im so disappointed. We just walked out.
Very RUDE. Did not meet ANY of the expectations I had on them, that they appeared to be able to meet... would not spend your time or money with this place. Their Customer Service thru corporate was far more polite and more competent than the employees they have at this Erie location.GO TO FREDS FURNITURE, better employees, far better prices for better products!
Every time I have gone into American Freight I was helped by Nate and he was very courteous and helpful. I was able to get everything I bought for a reasonable price and the help I received was great! I highly suggest going there for your furniture needs and if you get the opportunity to work with Nate I can assure you that you are in good hands!!
I would really appreciate being contacted by someone that can fix the issues I am having with my purchase. The couch I bought has broken to the point where it is unusable, and it should not be in this condition after a few months of very light use by myself and a 5 year old. The center seat of the couch is depressed into the couch by about 8 inches compared to the other seats and the entire thing is completely unusable. I contacted the store about the issue and was told that (although at no point in time was I offered a warranty, or even told that it was an option) without a warranty they will do absolutely nothing for me. I bought this couch very recently and I am still paying on it but can not use it. This is absolutely ridiculous and this problem needs to be addressed. I was not only tricked into a contract that the sales person tried to keep information from me until I read it and directly brought it up, but then was a victim of poor sales and customer service practices when the sales person purposely did not offer me the option of a warranty. On the phone the employee was rude and refused to let me directly talk to a member of management, and told me they would not do anything for me though the lack of a warranty was not my fault, but the fault of an undertrained, under qualified, INTENTIONALLY dishonest sales person. PLEASE MAKE THIS RIGHT.
The experience at American Freight was awesome. Taahna was very helpful, from trying to help us get a little more credit on our application, to getting us all checked out and with a speedy delivery date in our area which is roughly 30 miles south of their location. I went and purchased a 5 piece bedroom set. I asked for delivery and was told it would be next day. Its now been two days. I work prime hours Monday thru Friday and I am a single mother who lives alone. Of course I need delivery but the weekend times really sold me since Id be home and wouldnt have to make arrangements for someone to be here. I called several times yesterday because I had not heard from the moving company which you can not get a contact number for. I was told last night at 6:55pm that my things were on the truck and he had left for delivery. Okay Im an hr drive from where I purchased from. Okay I will wait. Still no confirmation call from the moving company. Call back this am get hung up on twice. Was told it is tax season and I pretty much need to be patient. Which yes I understand thats a busy time but I am also a paying customer. Then I was told he needs to do all of his in town deliveries first. Again I am also a paying customer maybe they should hire a different delivering company if they cant handle the work load. So I held tight today and Im patiently waiting. Tomorrow I go back to work and wont be home from 7am to 5:30pm. I want my furniture and unfortunately will not even have time myself to go pick it up with a UHAUL. I did find the customer service at the store nice. I agree with the other comment that they should hold personal conversations to a minimum I did hear a lot of cursing and such and my son was in the store with me also. I was helped and they found what I needed. Cashed out promptly and on my way to eagerly await my new bedroom set to start my week ... which never came. I guess my advice is DO NOT OFFER SOMEONE next day delivery when that isnt the truth. Its more like when we get around to it delivery because we are busy and cant handle our work load your put on the back burner because you live further away. Hire a different delivery company or contract to more then one. Id like my furniture I paid for which I would of never purchased if delivery wasnt convenient.
I went in and was helped by friendly staff immediately. I had my questions answered and ended up buying a couch that night. When I came up to pick it up the next day same service friendly and helpful. I got a great deal on an amazing couch. I will be going there to get more furniture.
Prices are nice, employees are not. They all act like they dont want to help you and basically just sit behind the counter with their backs turned the whole time. When you come in they dont even greet you and act like youre causing them an inconvenience by coming in or when you ask them a question. Girl with glasses and slicked back hair especially needs to work on her stuck up and annoyed attitude. Had to ask them twice to help move my couch that I bought from them. Well, I wont be causing you any more of an inconvenience. From now on I will be taking my business elsewhere, they dont deserve my hard earned money until they learn some customer service skills and professionalism. Im only giving an additional star because I got my couch for a nice price.
I bought a couch, ottoman, and chair. Got couch delivered right away. Had to pay for for delivery in cash when it was delivered. Kind of shady. Was told when I made original purchase that the chair and ottoman were on order and would be available to pick up in 3 weeks. The date the chair and ottoman were supposed to be ready for pickup I called the store because I had not heard anything from them. The person I got on the phone was not helpful at all. Told me my chair was not in. Asked for a date when it would be in. He said he has no idea when are what comes in on the trucks. His advice call at the end of the week to see if it is in. Asked to speak to a manager. Refused to let me speak to one. Gave him my number and name for manager to call back. 3 hours went by and nothing. I had my fiance call. She asked to speak to a manager. Got the same response manager unavailable. Asked how long it would be for manager to call back she said 5 minutes. 15 min later after no call back my fiance called again. She asked to be put on hold and wait for a manager. The manager gets on the phone and says he has no idea what is on the 4 trucks he gets a day. How can you possibly run a business not knowing what is coming into your store? The best answer of his was it will be in soon. This is 3 weeks after purchase and I cant even get a date when I can get my chair. Asked for free delivery since our arranged date came and went. He refused to do that. Asked for our money back that we put down on the chair. He also refused that. Prices are not worth this kind of hassle. If you do still buy something there dont put any money on it unless they have it on hand. Horrible customer service and VERY disorganized business.

I was dreading the whole process of purchasing a new mattress, but Darnell Pullium at American Freight in Erie, PA made it very easy and enjoyable. We simply told him what we wanted, he quickly showed us a mattress that suited our needs and wrote up the sale. He even had a mattress cover which we thought we were going to have to purchase elsewhere. We had our mattress delivered which went very smoothly the next day. The delivery men were even kind enough to take the old mattress out to our dumpster for us. Our overall experience at American Freight was everything we hoped it would be.
Picked out a mattress with the help of a seemingly knowledgeable salesman. He let me know the one I wanted only had 1 left in stock so I paid immediately for my husband to pick up the next night. Once we got the mattress unpacked and onto the bed I realized this was NOT the mattress I picked out (but it matched the receipt once I checked it). I returned to American Freight and talked to the salesman. He remembered me and the bed I picked out. When I showed him the error he said there was nothing that could be done as the mattress had been taken out of the plastic. Then he backpeddles and says how it cant be a mistake because he does not make errors. BAD SALESMEN. POOR customer service. I honestly think the one I picked was out of stock but since I wanted it the next day he just went the next bed downgrade and sold me that to get a sale.
Ill never go back because of the experience I had while shopping! The sales person was extremely unprofessional and had no problem telling me how crappy his merchandise was, he reluctantly showed me one of his advertised specials and when he did walk me to that part of the store I couldnt even pay attention to the few words he muttered because I was choking on the overwhelming smell of WEED coming from the loading area! At that point, I was interested in some merchandise, but wanted to leave - he told me he could write down some of the things I liked for a couple bucks. NO THANK YOU. Theres a store downtown that has deals that are just as good, with a better product, and without having to deal with classless people.
I had a great experience at american frieght , Tay helped me find everything i needed & gave me her opinion on the items i was unsure about . my couches and end tables look GREAT together . I am definitely going to recommend shopping here to my family & friends. Tay made it so easy to find the perfect furniture to fit my needs with in my budget.
My fiancè and I put a down payment on a couch and we were told that if, within the next 10 days, we changed our mind, we could get a full refund right there with no hassle and that after the 10 days, a refund would still be possible, it would just take a little longer because it would have to go through corporate. Okay. Thats fine. About 5 days later, my fiancè and I change our mind about the couch and wanted our money back. So we go there, ask for the refund and the give us such a hassle about it. We told them what Taahna told us and they said that wasnt accurate and that the money was deposited and we would have to wait like 3 weeks for our refund. They didnt do anything about it. All they said was that we could call corporate. My fiancè and I basically said screw it, bought a couch for the price our deposit was, got our free lamp and that was it. Never going back and would not recommend if there is ever a chance you might change your mind. The reasonI gave it 2 stars is because if you know for 100% sure youre going to get something and/or you buy it right then, then it would be any okay store. Poor customer service when something happens!
Ive always visited American Freight and everytime there is amazing service as soon as you enter the door. The employees are very knowledgeable and welcoming. There is such a wide selection of furniture that I always find what Im looking for. Stop here first before you shop anywhere else!
I was looking to furnish a newly bought house and stopped by American Frieght on 12th street. I talked to Nathan who was extremly helpfull and nice. I ended up buying a couch and loveseat set at a great price. The furniture is comfortable and looks great. I would recommend this store for anyone looking for a great value.
Do not buy anything from this store that they do not have already in stock. My wife and I purchased a sofa, ottoman and a recliner, and was told it would take 6-8 weeks. By the 10 week still no furniture. Every time we called which by that time was every other day we were told different excuses, finally settled on the floor model (of the sofa only) just to get some sort of furniture in the house. When the furniture got delivered the ottoman was torn and had no legs. Told them to take it back. After we called the store they said we have no more in stock( we were previously told we were only waiting on the sofa everything else was in stock) and we had to wait 3 days till our sales person would be back...really??? we were also told that since we have chosen to take the floor model we would also receive $50 off the recliner(still waiting for that, its week 11). Its all a scam and this company needs to be investigated for false advertisement and shut down. Do a little research its a common theme with them....
I bought my kitchen set, living room table with end tables and lamps here 4yrs. ago! My purchases are still looking new and no issues with them at all! I just took my mother (Delores W.) there and she bought $3,000+ worth of furniture and she is so excited to see what it will look like in her new home! A woman named Lavette, is highly recommended! This place is a joke. Customer service is horrible, hell the one girl who I was talking to didnt even know about the deal that they advertised on TV. The other one behind the desk with glasses, was totally stuck up. Between the both of them, well lets just say that this place will jirh anyone. I was in there two weeks ago on a Saturday, and was trying to buy a bed. Lets just say that besides it being filthy and the poor customer service, ivI taken my business some where else.
I went to american freight and financed a queen size mattress I questioned whether it was a queen because I told them that day it was smaller than my other mattress I was told by the sales person it was a queen I have called several times because they charged me for a queen the manager tells me now it is too later to do anything and to fill out a warantee claim because it also has sunken springs they were rude and not helpful so i got ripped off
I bought a bedroom set which is called the sorrento collection with a queen bed about 3 years ago and also purchased a warranty for it.. not even a few hours after I get the set i was already having issues with the dressers on the chest and on the one with the mirror which the drawers kept coming off track and my bed frame was coming apart, I called to see if i can bring it back and the man told me yes so I waited about 2 days cause thats when i was able to get a ride to bring the stuff back and then i called to confirm me bringing it the man said i had to contact the warranty company, Ive havent received any info about the warranty people i was supposedly was supposed to register my bedroom set even though you guys have on my file that i purchased the warranty and the person who sold it to me (who looks like kfc guy) never told me anything about registering it, so 3 years later i no longer have the bed cause the part that initially was wrong with it broke off so my bed is crap and my dressers are raggity so Im heated about purchasing a warranty for 5 years I cant even use!!! very unhappy!! oh and my name is Tia Johnson, im on my daughters account
If I could mark this a zero I would. So I get my bedroom set. Where do I start. The nightstand corner is smashed, the side board to the bed is peeling and cracked, no screws or bolts for assembly of bed, large dresser had a destroyed foot peg to it, the bottom support beam is broken, bottom metal rod for drawer is broken, mirror has a hole through it, tall dresser foot is broken and wont stand without rocking and the top drawer is DESTROYED! This is a nightmare I simply want to wake up from! I want these things out of my house. My bedroom is currently a storage for broken AF merchandise. They should be paying me ... Ive had it.
I can say, that all the new people you have in the store now are so much more helpful I was asked in a very friendly way, did I need help I told the sales person what I was looking for, and he was very helpful and might I add they was no rushed into buying the first thing I was shown, The sales person name was Kimarly very helpful friendly and professional, I for one will be going to the store again,

2022-06-05I am pretty unhappy at this time. We had bought a sectional in 2020. We purchased the 5 year warranty. Several months after buying, the frame did come apart, but we did not know this until some time later. I emailed American Freight twice with no response. I then filed a claim with the warranty company. They responded that since it was past 30 days since the damage had occurred, we were out of luck. While I can understand this, the issue is that we were not given ANY sort of take home information concerning the warranty and its terms. So, now, I have paid $150 for a useless warranty, and have a broken frame on a sectional.

2022-03-25Lee was FABULOUS! Trying to furnish our daughters new apartment has been a stressful and frustrating task during this post COVID/insane supply issues/ridiculous price increases world... Lee went above and beyond to make sure she was getting exactly what she needed and that each item was in stock! He was honest, kind, and provided customer service that has truly been lacking in most of my shopping experiences lately. Dont assume this place isnt worth the trip. Ive been looking for weeks and I purchased her bedroom and living room set in under an hour thanks to the amazing service from start to finish!

2022-04-26Tay was wonderful! We picked our mattress and box spring but it was not in stock . Tay had said she couldnt promise but hopefully within 2 weeks. Unfortunately the order did not come in within that 2 weeks and she understood how desperately we needed it. The store sent employees 2 hrs away to pick up the same mattress and box springs we had ordered that happened to be in stock at another store. Highly recommend place to purchase furnishings!

2022-07-09Order a bunk bed on March was told they didnt have the one I wanted in stock but they would order it. Was given a time frame of 6-8 weeks with the possibility of it being longer. I waited longer called for the status of my order thinking it could be a logistics or supplier issue. Plus I was told I would have to pay for delivery at time of delivery. The guy who answered told me he had no answers to call back when the girl who took my order was in. Called back another day the phone was picked up then hung up with no answer. Them when I called back I was placed on hold for 35 minutes. When the girl finally got on the phone I asked for a refund. I could never get a straight answer about the order just would I like a different option. Was told my corporate check would take 5-7 business days to arrive in the mail because I paid in cash. Didnt get it I called back and was told it would take 5-15 business days I still dont have it. Ill never buy anything from here again. Buyer beware if you want anything from here.

2022-06-16I ordered couch, love seat, 3 lamps, coffee table and two end tables back at the end of February. I have waited over 10 weeks for a couch, loveseat and my 3 lamps and I have also waited 16 weeks for my two end tables and coffee tables. They wont credit me (other than $50 off) for waiting this long. Im not going back there again.
