I have never met a better group of people. The classes are a very positive experience for my daughter. The instructors do an excellent job encouraging each child and ensuring that they strive to do their best. The best part is that both the other students and families provide such amazing support and treat you like family from the moment you walk in the door. Thats what hooked us!
My 5 year old son absolutely loves taking karate classes here!Despite of his gross motor delays, he has gained more confidence with new skills, and the classes have helped his coordination and strength already in the 2 months that he has taken classes virtually/in-person. Sensei Paul demonstrates the perfect balance between teaching self defense and discipline while making it a fun and positive experience, I highly recommend Villari’s!
My son started here about 4 years ago and it has been a great experience for him. Paul Manili is patient, kind and a wonderful instructor. He really takes the time to learn about each student and their individual needs. My son also just earned his brown belt. I highly recommend Villaris!

My girls love going to karate. Paul does a fantastic job of making class fun. The flexibility of the schedule is a huge plus. Highly recommend this studio, especially for little ones. I also love that the program is focused on self-defense and how to defend against bad guys (without scaring the kids). Its a very positive environment for kids.
I highly recommend Villaris. Ive taken my two kids to several different types of classes and this is the best bang for your buck because it addresses so many aspects of child development - mentally and physically - AND - its so fun! They demand (and get!) respect, they teach and play with the kids on their varying levels, the kids get a lot of exercise for a healthy life, they learn how to protect and defend themselves which boosts their self-confidence. I always say that its the people that make or break a class, not the program, and Paul and Mat know how to motivate and encourage all types of kids to do their best. Its really a great place to be.
We love it here! We tried several different martial arts dojos before enrolling here. So glad we did our homework! Sensei Paul is excellent! He is easy to work with, community oriented and really is committed to teaching!
What a wonderful place for kids! They accepted me when no other place in the area would answer. My child did zoom class each week and earned her yellow belt. What an amazing place to train. This is NOT the type of karate school for those that want to be aggressive toward others or to become full of themselves. This school teaches humility, respect toward others, and gave me the confidence I needed as a young woman headed to college.

Our grandson celebrated his 6th birthday party with a dozen of his friends at Villaris Self Defense Center. The kids had a blast! It was a perfect party that they will forever remember.

Karate is so much fun they teach bullying for all kids in schools and confidence, they play games that go along with the curriculum like dodgeball if you get hit do a karate move you learned, or tag or anything it’s so much fun for everyone.

2022-09-06Sensei Paul, Joe, and Emily work hard with the kids and they definitely keep them engaged. My son always has a lot of fun in class while learning at the same time. I wish there were Saturday classes, but there is not enough of a demand right now for them to open up a time slot on that day.

2022-07-28Sensei Paul and Mr. Joe have the right combination of teaching and dodge ball moments to keep the younger kids engaged during class.Their one on one interactions with the kids while teaching them new skills in kempo, goes a long way for the kids to assimilate what is being taught in the right manner.Enroll your kids here if you consider martial arts for your little ones as a Life Skill since that is how it is being taught at AMAA.

2022-05-02My daughter Nitya has been with AMA since she was 5 years old ( then Villaris) and loves Sensei Paul and the entire crew. It’s been more than two years now learning karate and there isn’t a day she doesn’t look forward to her class.

2020-07-30My son is three weeks into his new venture in karate and we couldn’t be more pleased with the school. Sensei Paul is friendly and welcoming and the students all give a family type vibe. Class sizes and social distancing have been satisfactory during the pandemic and they maintain a professional and safe environment for the kids to enjoy some time out of the house. Lastly, my son is receiving super intense 1:1 instruction in this classes and is scheduled to move up to the next belt in 2 more weeks! I highly recommend joining!

2022-04-20Its not just about martial arts--its also about family. The instructors are great & the school incorporates home, school, & self defense into their teachings. Students are so supportive of each other and learn respect toward others, as well as discipline and confidence! I would highly recommend to everyone, no matter their age. And they now have new adult beginner classes that are just amazing!

Sensei Paul is great with kids, helping them reach high levels of respect, self-discipline, and self-control. And the adult program is great for overall fitness and health for all ages. 2020-07-12Sensei Paul is great at teaching karate to anyone.... young children up to adults. While a variety of techniques are taught he also teaches life skills and lessons.... Respect, responsibility, kindness, teamwork, leadership, etc. My daughter was never into traditional team sports but just loves coming here. Shes built confidence, skills and friendships along the way!
