I’d give it zero stars if I could. At first it didn’t look bad, then we pulled back the sheets and they were SO dirty, 3 HUGE spiders, probably over 100 ants coming out of the wall, dirty towels on the floor, I’ve stayed at over 100 hotels and most of them were cheap like this one but this was BY FAR the WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. They didn’t even offer a refund or say sorry, they should be shut down.
I would give this hotel ZERO stars . DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. They charge $100 hold for dirty, disgusting, bug infested rooms. I literally witnessed “housekeeping “ clean MULTIPLE ROOMS in less than ten minutes. When I voiced my opinion on how dirty the room was I was then harassed by a mouthy 15 year old that likes to disrespect customers and they all allow it. And if that wasn’t enough they will KEEP YOUR 100 hold for no reason. I am in the process of disputing with my bank because they will not give me my hold nor tell me a legitimate reason as to why they kept it (no damage to the room even picked it up for them) they tried to blame their ant infestation on me!! That was the reason they are keeping my hold apparently. I see multiple people also complaining about the ants. I got bit up, possible bed bugs but could be from the ant infestation.
The hotel is pretty good at the price they charge.• The breakfast options are very less and almost negligible.• The staff is very polite and friendly.• The rooms are pretty well maintained and clean.• Some of the rooms can easily fit about 5 people considering the bed sizes and the number of beds.• Overall a good experience.
Clean comfy beds after a twelve hour drive it was a welcome sight! I have stayed here several times. The people are friendly in the office. You will not have a 5 star hotel experience after all it is affordable and its in Bradford. They have started to upgrad the rooms from the times Ive been here in years before. So if you want the best if everything go else where. But if want a reasonable price and a comfy bed. This is your place!
I’ve stayed in Bradford a few times, however I normally only stay at The Best Western.... after reading reviews and seeing the price at America’s Best Value In Bradford I decided to give it a try... After driving 7 hours (when it normally takes 5) with my 2 year old I was excited to finally make it and relax. I grabbed my hotel key and went to my room. I rushed in to use the bathroom and as I look over to my right I see a shower FULL OF BUGS. Big bugs, small bugs, bugs I had never even seen before (will post picture if I’m able to). I grabbed my daughter and things as fast as I could and packed the car back up. I went to the front to ask for a refund. Initially the guys offered a different room but I said no thank you. He seems puzzled as to why I didn’t want to stay there... but I needed up getting my money back. But I would never recommend this place.
Price was the best in town and the amenities - fridge, microwave and coffee maker in every room; plush and plentiful towels; free breakfast; helpful customer service - really impressed me. The property is very well kept, the room seemed recently updated, and the staff did their best to help me coordinate receipt of packages. The location is also incredibly convenient with a Walmart, bank and gas stations close by. I will definitely stay here if passing through again.
So the 4 stars is for the price. If it was anymore expensive Id give it a 2.5, or maybe a 3 for the price quality ratio. Room is big and clean, and bed wasnt bad.***The walls are paper thin and could hear every conversation in the room beside us. Thats another reason Id give a lower score if the price wasnt so good. The fan on the ac/heater helped a little with the noise. Its an older motel, but looks pretty well kept. Id stay here again.
One of my worst stays ever. You WILL slip and fall in the showers, and they do NOT care. Uncooperative, unsympathetic, your money is best spent elsewhere. And if you dont like a hard bed you are out of luck. It took me a month staying elsewhere just to recover from staying here. NEVER again.
This friendly place was easily the best motel Ive EVER used! ..started by being less expensive than any other offering, and was compounded by the owners willingness to help with extended stay, at a reduced rate, as well..A very refreshing change from todays prevailing lack of empathy for the consumer..
This is a $90 quality room for half the price. Its lovely, Im a mom traveling with my 6 yr old daughter, and we decided to stay here after a day of hiking. We live an hour and a half away. Thats alot of driving for a little kid. She is having a blast. First hotel stay. We opened the door and she said its so cool!!!Haha. Staff super friendly. Highly recommend. Fridge and microwave, coffeemaker, great beds. Cant beat this price. Near restaurants etc.
My son and I stayed here 1 night while heading north. Im afraid I dont understand the previous reviewer. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, and spotless especially the two toned blue tile bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the whole night was just pleasant. The heater kept us quite warm and it was 12 degrees F out. I have stayed in my share of very nice places and also the not so. This motel has everything you need, unless you are full of yourself and think you are entitled to live like a king for 53 bucks a night. Get over yourself.
People in the next room were loud and slamming doors. You are not informed when check in and check out times or breakfast times are. Went up to get breakfast and as Im trying to make it they start picking everything up. If you want breakfast I recommend going somewhere else. Breakfast isnt very good. Rooms are cold had to turn the heat up to 86 and was still cold. The room wasnt very clean.
I have stayed here several times in the past, and only had minor issues a few times. Unfortunately my recent stay was not the case. There were bugs in the shower, around the toilet and crawling on the bathroom wall. Towels were dirty, blood spot on one and makeup on another. Pulled the sheets back on the bed and it looked like someone had a good time. Needless to say went up front and was told there was no other room available. Then they implied that they didnt know if I used the room, and there was nothing they could do.Obviously I was not getting a refund and continuing to argue was pointless. I asked if I could atleast get clean towels and new bedding. I was handed two clean towels and then told they didnt have any sheets cleaned. So I went to Walmart. Bought sheets and items to clean the room myself.I do have photos as well, definitely my last stay.
I was there visiting a friend. He has one of the back corner rooms in the rear of the motel. Its definitely a motel with extra amenities... the rooms seem rather updated yet are normal for a motel. Not much extra space for living, as he lives there. Perfect for an over night or 2 if u dont want to spend extra money for things u wont use. The wifi sucks. He has his laundry done there, very stupidly expensive clothes, and doesnt complain... someone does something correct for that service. Dont know much eles...other then his door was kicked in weeks ago and there was an obvious long commotion and I know the cops werent called by anyone ever.
Very cheap, and with much nicer bathrooms than youd expect, I wish I could take this hotel with me every time I travelled for work. Unfortunately theres never anyone at the front desk save the housekeeper, who is not hugely practiced at check-ins. If you check out early in the morning, youll find the lobby locked. Microwave and mini fridge in every room.
My extended family likes to tease when I stay at the old Desoto in Bradford. Im not to sure how it was back in the day but since it has been under Americas Best Value Inn, it has done me and my immediate family well. Prices are cheap but honestly it is what I expect for a small town like Bradford. This location is right off 219, next to Walmart, Tim Hortons, Perkins and a gas station.Staff had always been friendly and on our recent trip, we stayed in rooms that had floors and bathroom redone. I was also told that mattresses where replaced throughout the hotel. (I didnt ask why, dont need to know).During busy times, price for rooms goes up, this is where I get concerned. While I can save me $40/night staying here during off peak weekends, come aug during the Italian festival, I can spend the same price for another hotel with a indoor pool. Needless to say during those trips, I dont stay here.If you are passing through, it is a great 1 or 2 night stay that is next to alot of resources. As long as your not expecting too much. For $50 a night, I got a clean bed, hot water (in shower) and tv to help me sleep.I will point out, like with anyplace that houses many people, there is the risk of having noisy neighbors. Luckily for me, I sleep just fine but I can acknowledge that if your are sensitive to stuff like that, the walls aint that thick. Also, I do think a towel upgrade is in order. While it was clear, you could just tell they are stretching the life of them (and it makes sense to keep the costs down)
We were very pleased with this motel. The room was clean and pleasant. It is located close to Rt 219 and there were several eating options near. The owners and the people in the office were very pleasant. There was no problem with other people staying there. We will definitely stay there again!
If this was Americas Best...Id hate to see Americas worst! The room, while tidy, smelled like many many many cigarettes had been enjoyed there. Disgusting! They didnt have any non-smoking available. Continental breakfast consisted of cereal and milk and coffee...no juice or water. Towels were stained...STAINED... and very small. Beds were comfy though but go elsewhere for your money.
The bed was very comfortable, it didnt take us very long to get situated into our room, and the shower was very nice. There were a lot of really close food areas around where we were staying so we went to a Sheetz for the first time which was really nice because it was like right up the road.
Room was cramped, had no closet, only mirror was one over the sink in BR and was hung so high that I could only see from my chin up. Price was reasonable and they allow dogs. Breakfast left a lot to be desired...tiny muffins and hot water for tea....no one ever at front desk-must ring a bell and wait for service. It was in a good location-close to Sheetz where we could get coffee and a meal in the morning.
This motel is the worst motel Ive ever stayed at, and i stayed at Motel 6 and Motel 8 before. The room was very dirty: the ice bucket was used to collect rain water leaking from the ceiling in the middle of the room. A nauseating drain smell wafted from the bathroom. The walls were dirty with stains. Dust was packed on every railing. The towels were white for the most part except for stains that had not been washed out! I am deeply worried I may have contracted bedbugs or something. Though I didnt see any insects, I would not be surprised if they were. The carpet was dirty. Near the bed, we found loose beads and pennies. The smell in the entrance hallway mixed naftalin and asafoetida, and it was heavy to breathe. It followed me to the room. Dont book a room here. There is another hotel in town. Go there or AirBNB.
If I could leave less stars I absolutely would. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with! Mistreated me with my 1 yr old child. Yelled at me when I couldnt understand them. Refused to refund when we did not get to stay in the room at Ll. Refused the money through expedia. Expedia called & said they were nasty to them as well. I called & they hung up on me. Yelled at me. Talked over me. & disrespected me. Well be sure to never book with them next time we are in pa. I would never want to stay somewhere, where they steal your money & completely disrespect you to your face as if youre not paying for their service!
Booked king size room on the Internet. Showed up on reservation date and should have just driven away after seeing the place. Checked in and was asked if two double beds would be ok. Uhh we booked a king right? OK so Ill give you a king. Went to check out the room and was an adjoining room with paper thin walls. Neighbors tv was blaring and also had a dog. I love animals so no big deal. Room was sketchy at best bed felt horrible. Went back to the desk and kindly asked for a refund. The lady looked befuddled because we didnt want to stay. I simply told her the room wasnt what we were expecting and didnt want to stay. She said Ill give you a nice room!?!?!?!?!?!?! Huh??? Why didnt you just give me a nice room in the beginning. What a joke, do yourself a favor and stay in a cardboard box in the ghetto. Youll be glad you did!
I have to say that this was the worst experience ever. Bugs in the bathroom, tub was beyond nasty with paint peeling, got what I think are flea bites and the smell in the room was horrible. There is something said for spending over a hundred plus dollars for a room. They even showed me another room that was just as bad. The fridge had mold in it.
We were not happy with the accomodations of this Americas Best! The Heater did not work properly - huge gap under the door that allowed the cold air to flow under it. Room size did not match the picture and we asked for a non-smoking and the room def. reaked of cigarette smoke - so much that we went out and bought air freshners. Usually very happy with Americas Best - but not this one. Needs a lot of work and upgrades!
My jobs has me in hotels most of the year, this place would get 3 stars if I hadnt spent the first hour here killing large gnats coming from the drains, pro tip keep shower and sink running all night and youll only have to kill 30 or so large gnats... sadly Im being honest. Try to make your trip so you dont stop in bradford.
Unreal, Just called to book a room and the lady who picked up couldnt even speak to me... I could barely understand her but tried the best of it as I really needed a roof above my head for the night....She refused to answer my simple questions regarding the shower being safe enough for my grand father whom of which is in a chair, and while on the phone with her a concerned customer in the background had stated his shower was flooding and needed help as soon as possible. She ignored the customer despite his emergency, so what do you she would do if you needed her help? IGNORE YOU!Terrible experience will never even think about calling back and am shocked your in business
Great rooms although small without any place to hang clothes, service was great and they accommodated our need for an extra heater in the room which wasnt warmed up before our arrival, they served breakfast but it was just white bread for toast, muffins and cereal, beds were comfortable and shower worked great!
Stayed hear last nite worst experience ever toilet was plugged up the man at the front desk two handed me a plunger the toilet backed up into the shower I was told I put something in the drain worst service Ive ever seen will never stay here again I suggest sleeping outside for staying there
We saw the rooms available through Google but on its page it only made one room available but in Booking it had several available so we asked the price, telling us that it was more expensive, we told it that in Booking it was € 40, to which told us to take it by Booking but immediately eliminated the option to book them and then raise the price.

2022-02-20100$ a night PLUS 150$ deposit for a old run down motel with hardly anywhere to park.. only booked there because everywhere else was booked. Front desk guy was very nice.. but you can get a decent room for 100$ anywhere else. Had to leave early because the heat did not work while it was 15 degrees out. I was refunded for not staying the 2nd night due to the heat. Hoping to get 150$ deposit back.

2022-02-20We were not even in the room for 10 minutes before the whole hotel lost power. It was -5° overnight and the room started to get cold. After 30 minutes I went to the office and asked if they knew the power was off. They said it would be back on in another 30 minutes. All of the other hotels in the area were booked so we could not switch and go somewhere else. We had no power/heat all night long and by the morning the room had to be in the 30°s if not colder. I will be requesting a refund.

2022-02-10Worst experience ever. I can deal with small spaces. Thats not the issue. The room was filthy. Our blanket had chewed gum on it. The housekeeper was extremely rude... I feel theyre unprofessional. And below is a pic of what I swept out from under the dresser

2021-04-23Easy-going no-fuss motel. The room I was in was a single king and kind of small, but the convenience of my work van parked right outside the door was unmatched. It was kind of cold (30°F) for April and the heat pretty much never stopped running. For a one-night place to rest your head, you can’t go wrong here! The rear parking lot is extremely well lit and my room was very clean (photo of bed was after I took a nap). Bargain prices, too! I would stay here again, for sure.

2021-10-10Tried to book this hotel, the 24 hour desk was locked and we were stranded upon check in. Tried to continue charging us and told booking.com that we had checked in when we had not. The manager was extremely belittling and made me say nice things to him before he acknowledged my complaint, weirdest hotel experienceof my life. Just wants your money even if they arent there to let you in. Just book somewhere else. Save yourself the booking stress.

2021-05-14This hotel served its purpose for me and my girlfriend. We were traveling for business and saw this little place on Maps with the newly remodeled rooms and thought wed check it out. They also had room to accommodate large trucks with trailers. When I checked in, the man who checked me didnt say more than two sentences to me; not even small talk with me considering I was checking in at 9pm, so I dont know where this Homey feeling comes from I read about in other reviews definitely not from him. The layout of the hotel is like something you really dont see anymore. It has a main area of rooms all facing out door and a further back area with the same thing. We rented a king smoking room. The room was enough space for two people. It had a mini refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, coffee maker for single cups, 24 tv, a table, and two chairs. The air-conditioning in the room was all the way in the back of the room close to the bathroom. It wouldnt stay running the whole time either, but thats how it goes. The bathrooms were the nicest part of the whole room, thats for sure. Recently updated and a nice step in shower. However, the floor is very slippery in the shower. The bed was very firm, not my favorite. Two pillows for each of us, which was nice! When we looked around the room, it was obvious to us that they dont clean the rooms very thoroughly. It was made clear through my picture of cob webs on the ceiling above our bed. My girlfriend also had a white substance on her side of the bed. We didnt bring it to anyones attention because we didnt want to be complainers, but we werent thrilled that they couldnt put a good effort into cleaning the room when there are only a single level of rooms and high rise hotels seem to always clean the whole place, thoroughly. All in all, you get what you pay for.

2019-08-06We are staying here for a few days while visiting family and friends. This is an OLD motel that has been redone. Do not expect it to be the Hilton. The rooms are small because thats how they were back in the day. King size bed takes up a lot of space but its comfy. Bathroom shower is great. Room is clean. It is a smoking room so there is some odor in that regard. Towels really need to be replaced you can tell they are old. Shower curtain needs to be replaced. Outside is clean and well kept. Continental Breakfast. Pets are welcome with an additional nightly fee. They tried to charge us $20 a night extra for our tiny dog but I had a printout that said it was $10. Overall it is a nice place. Clean quiet and safe. I would stay here again.

2020-03-05For a motel I have got to say this has been the BEST and most homey of them all. Not only was their service super awesome but they were BEYOND friendly towards my fiance and I, who were also staying with our Am Staff. The people didnt discriminate towards us or my pitbull families dog. Rooms were exceptionally clean when we arrived. Non smoking room smelt amazing, like fresh linens, and the SHOWERS! AMAZING! we had great water pressure and very hot water. Best part was the awesome price! So nice that we stayed for almost a full week. Will definitely stay again. Even my pup felt right at home.
