Visiting Dane is a unique and wonderful experience. The moment you walk into his house you can feel the music waiting to be set free. Such an inviting experience in comparison to a strip mall music store. He educated and entertained us while divining the perfect match for my sons growing skills. He allowed us to take our favorite cello home and play it for several weeks to ensure that it was The One. We will be back, either when my son needs his next instrument enhancement or just to enjoy the presence of the incomparable Dane.

I purchased a bow at Dane’s and am loving it! He let me take home several to try so I could find the best one. Excellent service, honest pricing, and very personable.Edited- he recently adjusted a bridge on a student’s violin while I waited. Such an improvement! I can’t say enough good things about his business!!

Dont go anywhere else if you care about your violin. I made the mistake of going somewhere else .That individual put a bridge on my instrument meant for a half or three quarter violin. That so called luthier put cheap stainless steel strings on my instrument. That other individual said my instrument bowed and that he need to straighten it out. That claim I dispute! The bill was just shy of $200, What a waste of money!!!! Anderson put on quality Dominant Strings, the correct bridge , pegs and fine turners.. The biggest difference is that Dale did the job correctly with pride!!!! Go To Dale!!!!!!!!!

Im a freshman, music major college student who came to Dane with a $3000 budget and not a lot of experience in buying cellos. I was in hunt of a much-needed upgrade from my cheap, cello purchase from Amazon. He had many options for me to try and taught me a lot about what to look for and even gave me a lot of helpful tips! Its easy to tell he takes great pride in his work and is very helpful. Im the type to always feel pressured and indecisive in buying situations but he made the process so great. After 2 visits, I left his shop with my cello and felt very confident with my purchase. Even though he was 70 miles away from me, it was very well worth it. Thanks, Dane!

Experience and detail oriented repair shop that you can trust with your fine instrument. It is good to speak directly with the person doing your repairs. John is a pleasure to work with and very experienced. The world needs more craftsman like this. Also, prices are more reasonable than other shops.
