I deliver food through the gig service GrubHub from here and trust me, this is your Saturday night spot. Friendly staff and an rustic Italian aesthetic gives this place eye-appeal. The food always smells delicious and ownership is friendly. Why waste money at another pizza shop in the area! Contribute to Sofias and Gabes tip jar!
Wow, this is one of the best Pizzas I have eaten in 48 years! This is in my neighborhood and its fantastic! Not to mention it came fast and correct! My wife said the hamburger she ordered was one of the largest and best that she has ever eaten! We will be ordering again and shortly! Thank you!!!!!
We really wanted to like this restaurant, but found the pizza subpar. The service was excellent--super friendly and helpful! But our pizza was slightly burnt on the bottom, the spinach tasted off, and the cheese was too thin. Its a beautiful location, but the food left much to be desired.
Ordered lunch for the first time here today. This is the best pizza I’ve had in my life. No exaggeration and I literally eat pizza everyday. I’ve even been to the Pizza Olympics( yup it’s a real event). I can’t believe I’m just discovering this place but I’m soooo excited and look forward to trying other items.
I am always satisfied when I order from Angelino’s! I have been a fan for years, but I’ve been blown away by the way they’ve handled all the curveballs thrown at them since 2020. The food is always delicious. The customer service is fantastic (especially from Gabe!). Literally cannot think of a bad thing to say. Thank you so much! The neighborhood is so lucky to have you.
Ordered Lunch today for Delivery. Eggplant parm platter. Nice size platter. The eggplant was cut just right not too thin, not thick. Perfect. Fast delivery. The food was hot when it got here. Good garlic bread. I am very pleased with my lunch.Sorry, no picture. I ate it.
Been meaning to try this spot out for awhile now and finally got he opportunity to do so. Very impressed and loved the traditional plain pie. Really enjoyed the garlic flavored crust. Ill definitely come back to try some more items on the menu and it may become my new go to spot in Fairmount!
Always a wonderful experience. Great atmosphere while enjoying a meal or getting my order to go. Customer service couldn’t be better! Sophia always makes her customers feel so welcome when they enter! Came in for something small but left with a complete dinner. And I’m so glad. I really enjoyed the chicken parmigiana. Beautiful salad and scrumptious garlic bread sticks complimented the chicken cutlet, spaghetti and delicious melty cheese. I look forward to experiencing the rest of the menu :)
We looked for an Italian restaurant near where we were at the time and Angelino’s popped up. What a great find. Local neighborhood place with great service and equally fantastic authentic Italian comfort food. We chatted with the owner and his brother, who is the chef. Totally delightful and highly recommended. The prices are terrific and you won’t be able to finish tour plate, so think fabulous leftovers at home!
These are my favorite pizza people on earth. Their pepperoni and mushroom pie puts me in my happy place, better yet the wings are super awesome and mucho delicious. Theres something wonderful about the pizza sauce and the garlic crust is something not to be passed. Enjoy the best pie in Philly, call the pizza people at Angelinos today.
Just moved to Brewerytown. Have heard of Angelinos but never tried it until this week.. let me tell you, I’ve ate at many different Italian places from all over the tristates. This is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. In person and via takeout. The staff is amazing from start to finish. Takeout... I don’t know how but the food is always hot! Fantastic... also it’s unfortunate that some other great Italian places don’t know how to pack their food to go... Angelinos does it right! Bruschetta off the bread in containers, cold packed separately with cold! I can go on...Vodka pie is one of the best and so is the chicken and shrimp in vodka sauce!Portions are great! Pretty much like a b1g1 free meal since you’ll always have another serving leftover!
This place is a special kind of great. In a city with a variety of good authentic Italian options, its nice to also have a rock-solid, mid-twentieth-century Italian-American joint with plates you could fall into. Especially recommend the vodka pizza and the eggplant parm, which is practically time warped from my childhood. Plus the family that owns it is super nice, and has made the restaurant a point of reference for the whole neighborhood.
I celebrated my daughters second birthday here. Food was great, restaurant was nice, but the service not so much. Our waitress was new and spilled water all over me and my friend. She apologized and was horrified over the mistake, but it still sucked to be wet . I brought cupcakes for celebration, but was told their was an additional $1.25 cutting fee per cupcake when I call to confirm. I wish they told me this when I first made the reservation that way I wouldve just purchased desert from them instead or head another be venue. When my husband asked the manager about the cutting fee, the manager was rude and responded by telling him I thought I spoke to your wife about this already...just take it or leave it. Probably wouldnt go back again.
This is the best place in this area to eat. The food is great. The people are great and the atmosphere in this nice bistro is awesome. Its a family friendly BYOB. The Creamy Cajun Chicken is to die for as well as the muscles. Pizza there will never fail you. They take pride in the food they serve.
First time in philly. Sophia was very nice & honest I asked her what was the thing to get there she helped narrow some opinions for me. I got a penne pasta with the vodka sauce. Vodka sauce & pasta was over all very good and the portion size was very generous. I felt like I had A LOT of sauce & it would have done well served with a bread/toast. But Over all very good, friendly staff & clean restaurant & restrooms.
Its a good day when you find good pizza! Save yourself the trouble and money and dont go anywhere else nearby but here. Im always skeptical of buying pizza from places that have a ton of other menu items, however they did not disappoint! Their hot wings are also very good. I havent tried anything else besides pizza and wings but I now have a new go-to pizza place!
Excellent! This is a neighborhood restaurant in the Fairmount area of Philadelphia. I cant say enough good about this place, based on my one visit (so far). I will go back. Everyone in the restaurant was nice, attentive and friendly. The owner (I assume) came around and chatted at all the tables. It is a BYOB place. We were there for a late lunch. The restaurant was spotless clean and all the food we ate was excellent. We had the fried macaroni balls (unreal) and a large pizza with Italian sausage. All the food is made from scratch right there by the excellent chef. But it was in no way expensive. The pizza has a garlic crust that is light and very good (not doughy) The pizza was perfectly balanced with sauce and cheese (believe it or not this balance is hard to achieve). And to my delight it actually had spices already on it, just the way the old Italian pizza places were a few decades ago. For some reason these modern pizza places for the last 20 years seem to make pies with just cheese, sauce, salt and crust. I prefer some spices and Parmesan baked in, the way it used to be. You can walk to this restaurant from the art museum, Eastern State Penitentiary, Girard College and many places. I highly suggest you try this gem! A good, old fashioned, clean, tasty, low cost Italian restaurant like something out of the past. It is a nice, clean, safe neighborhood as well with a lot of young educated people, it seemed. If I lived there I would be at this place regularly.
The Margarita pizza was spectacular. Not heavy, but at 18, you ARE going to take some home. The place has a very nice, warm and fuzzy feel to it. Susana, our waitress, was very pleasant. The service was top notch, and the prices were very pleasing. When were back to the Art Museum, well come back for sure.
This was the worst restaurant experience i’ve had in a while. I was in a group of 4 and the first thing we noticed when we walked in was that there was no one directing us where to sit. When we did get seated we had no menus and a women came to our table (a manager or owner i assume) and started talking to us. She was friendly but she touched my friend’s hair without her permission and i thought that was unacceptable. They had one waitress waiting tables in the entire restaurant and service was slow. We saw the waitress crying in the back because she was so overwhelmed. While this was happening we sat there for nearly an hour waiting. The food was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
I didnt get to edit this before so I am sorry lol I was extremely busy, this vodka pizza me, my mom, and my friend tried it was so frikin good my mom doesnt eat very much but she ate 2 1/2 slices!! Out of an 8 slice pizza!! The restaurant was beautifully set up and the service was amazing!!
I called to order food. The lady took my payment via phone and said the next hour. We sat at home waiting and then they called. We thought we were being asked to come to the door for the food, but instead, after waiting for an hour, we were told that we had to come pick the food up because they didnt deliver that far. I was a bit exasperated but I was hungry so I went to collect the food. Once I collected, the pizza was very cold and both pastas didnt not taste that well. I wouldnt go back. The food really isnt that good. Im surprised that they were even Zagat rated.
My son lived in the neighborhood and introduced us to Angelinos - and for this I am very grateful! Great little place with fantastic food and excellent prices. After my son moved to VA I continued my walks through various Philly neighborhoods, but I always tried to end up near Angelinos for lunch before catching the train back to NJ.You cannot go wrong with this place as they have an extensive menu.
I was there earlier today and I can honestly say that I will be coming back soon! The service was great and the prices werent really that bad. I ordered a cheese burger and it was delicious! The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was neat and romantic. I really enjoyed my experience.
I moved to Philly a few months ago and this was one of the first places I was taken to eat. I fell in love instantly, There was this AMAZING greek chicken special that day, and from the first bite I knew I would keep coming back here forever. Now every time someone comes to visit me, I drag them out to Angelinos because Its always delicious and our servers are always wonderful, and its just a great spot. I highly recommend always getting one of the daily specials, Ive never gone wrong with one, and who knows when youll be able to try it again. But trust me, You will come back to Angelinos. Even if the parking situation is a nightmare out there, its worth it.
This place was decent. Sadly the service was super slow and the place was empty so we arent sure why. My meal didnt come as requested so thats a star off, but it tasted good. Parking was almost non-existent. Wish i had a picture to share of this neighborhood. I dont know how these people live here and tolerate it.
Warm and cozy family owned business. The owners are wonderful and the food was delicious! Excellent meatballs, chicken parm and the vegetarian lasagna was fantastic! Was there for a friend celebrating get sons birthday and enjoyed the family style Italian food and Geary vibes.
I have lived in the neighborhood for 6 years and this remains one of my top restaurants in the area. When I introduced my, now wife, to Angelinos, it immediately became her favorite place. When our friends are over, its one of the first places they request when we decide to order pizza and wings. Its also one of our favorite local BYO. Their prices are great, their homemade Italian food is delicious, and they even have small jazz bands there on occasion. Were moving out of the neighborhood soon and we will miss this place. If you havent already, give Angelinos a try, its a neighborhood gem.
This was my first time here, and I ordered my usual when trying a pizza place for the first time, a plain pizza and an Italian hoagie. Both were awesome! The pizza was a medium , 14 inch 8 cut, with a light thin crust that was crispy on the bottom and soft, light and chewy on the inside. The sauce is really good, not too sweet, not too garlicky, and plenty of delicious cheese. The Italian comes in one size, I think about 9 inches, and it comes served on a homemade bread that is almost like a flatbread or a wedgie crust. Plenty of meat and toppings, and for 6 dollars, you wont find a better Italian hoagie anywhere! I cant wait to try more items on the menu. The girl who answered the phone was extremely polite, and the young guy who waited on me when I got there, Enzo, gave outstanding service. You can tell that this is a family owned business and they put lots of love and passion into there food. We will definitely be back.
We picked up (covid-times, folks) for my mothers birthday dinner (she loves Italian food), and could not have been more pleased with the meals. The spinach gnochhi are to die for, frankly, and the rest of our meals (2 lasagna orders and a chicken and crab linguini) were equally delicious. We also had the avocado bruschetta, a very tasty appetizer. Would love to come here again 😋 😍
Moderate at best, the pasta is over cooked. When I asked for something a little different I was told they were too busy. There were three tables with people. But I guess if your desperate, there are few options! Hopefully one day we will get a proper restaurant in the neighborhood!
I have nothing but positive things to say the staff was extremely nice and helpful The Establishment was very clean and the food was very very very good wish I could give you 10 Stars keep up the good work you are doing good work. Highly recommend this establishment to eat at.
Angelinos is probably the best pizza in fairmount. they also offer a wide selection of wraps sandwiches and Italian favorites all of which are good. I wish they were still on grub hub but they dropped it in favor of theyre own online ordering system which is not the best.
Im so grateful we have Angelinos in the neighborhood. We go about every two weeks. Its a traditional Philly Italian-American menu, old fashioned, nothing fancy, but the quality is so consistent. The kitchen really cares. We bring a bottle of wine and eat for $40 or $50 and have lots of food to take home. Weve settled on our favorites on the menu, and they are done right every time we go. The service is warm and welcoming every time -- just nice people. There are some terrific new restaurants in this neighborhood -- Bar Hygge has superb food and beer, A Mano is great for special occasions. But I also love the old Fairmount places -- Angelinos, Zorbas and Little Petes. You gotta treasure them and support them, just like the new places, because they wont be around forever.
Phenomenal place if you live nearby and want a neighborhood restaurant vibe or if you are visiting from outside and want excellent cuisine. Since this restaurant opened (2006 or 2007?) I have made it a priority to eat here as often as possible. At the time I was living in the neighborhood with some roommates and we would dine here on a weekly basis. A pleasant family runs the operation which serves delicious pizzas, wings, enormous strombolis, and various other items. Strombolis are my personal favorite; there are about 8 on the menu and theyre all so equally tasty that I have a difficult time deciding which one Id like to order on any particular occasion. Theyve been a BYO since the start and, consequently, my taste buds fondly remember Italian dishes that complement a wide variety of wines. Wine pairs well with all of these dishes. Now that Ive left Philly (temporarily, hopefully) I still will make it a priority to stop in for a meal each time I visit the city. Angelinos is the only place I recommend to people who ask me where they should eat when they visit.
I always tell everyone this is the best pizza in Philadelphia. I stand by that. And Ive had a LOT of pizza. Heck, Ive been going to the pizza competitions for a few years now. Ive had it all. Angelinos all the way. The dough they use is just amazing, try the pepperoni pizza, a classic thats made just right.
While visiting the Philadelphia area, I had the pleasure to done at Angelinos. We only visit the place thanx to online reviews, and we did not regret it. Food was excellent, waitress Emily was very nice, with a very nice atmosphere.... We will definitely come back here once were back in the Philly area.

2022-04-26A good large pizza pie. 18”. They only have two sizes. The garlic crust was good, it was too heavy in places like just way too much garlic powder sprinkled on the crust. It would be out of this world if it was actual garlic dough baked like that or sprinkled with a lil parm cheese and baked but it was just garlic powder baked on the crust. Still good don’t get me wrong but a lil too much of the wrong kind of garlic flavor for us. Will we order again from here? Probably. So far, the best pizza pie in Philly we’ve had. On a search for the ultimate traditional cheese pizza here. Ordered on a Friday evening and it was delivered within 40 mins. That’s also a win in my book.

2022-06-05My wife and I have been ordering delivery from Angelino’s for years. Incredible food and service every time. Before we moved, our last delivery included a surprise desert with a note saying, “We will miss you!” They appreciate all their customers and their food and service reflect that. Highly recommend Angelino’s to all. Thank you, Angelino’s!

2020-12-12Angelino’s is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We ordered their original pizza and cheesesteak and both were delicious. The pizza is very thin crust and has a nice crisp to it. The sauce is excellent and not overpowering. Finally, the staff was very friendly. Overall great restaurant.

2019-12-01A group of friends were going to the zoo this evening and needed to find a place close by for the 12 of us.We went on to Google and searched for local restaurants. We came across Angelinos. I looked at the reviews and it got great reviews so thought we would give it a try.Due to time restraints, I called to make a reservation. We arrived, the selection on the menu was extensive.I asked the waitress what she recommended since none of us were ever there. She provided a few options. I went with the shrimp and crab meat with pasta and red sauce. Let me tell you, it was, AH-MAZING! Too much for 1 sitting so have leftovers. All 12 of us LOVED everything we ordered. The owner was there and she chatted with us a while.Small and quaint place. Quiet enough that we were able to hold conversations. Will DEFINITELY be going back.Trust the reviews. This place is GREAT.

2021-12-30Angelinos simply does not miss. You cant go wrong with a single item on their menu. I would recommend them to anyone because theyve got offerings for everyone - picky kids to adults looking for the comfort of Italian classics. Theyre consistently delicious and so welcoming whenever you visit or arrive for pickup. I cant sing their praises enough or how lovely it is to know any time I order from them, I know my meal is in good hands!
