The gift shop smells like cat piss really bad so if ya got allergies stay clear, when I said something about it the dude says...the sign outside doesnt say flower shop! REALLY? The animals were begging for food so aggressively that I feel like they may not be feed appropriately or maybe withheld so people can interact more. Bear n Tiger looked hot n bored n have small enclosures, I love small family zoos but wont be back to this one for sure. Also no appropriate food biscuits or kibbles just dried corn, empty carbs.

It was absolutely HORRENDOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot even begin to explain what those poor animals have to suffer through. It is disgusting. Urine smell all the way through the zoo. Alpacas havent been sheared in at least 2 years. Bears are living in a prison. The peacock has barely any feathers. The tiger looked so sad and depressed. The wolf lives in a tiny little cage that it just paces. Everything there is gross and disgusting! This place needs to be severely renovated or shut down ASAP!

I agree with the one review. If you are an animal lover/advocate do not go here. Some of these poor animals I was so sad for. The tiger, all by him/herself with only concrete to walk on. 2 large bear in an enclosure of ALL CONCRETE!!! Not one blade of grass. The one bear just walked back and forth in an area that was about 8 foot by 10 foot while the other bear just sat in the corner. The monkeys also had no vegetation. No vines, trees, or grass. There was also a monkey that kept walking back and forth in one spot and my 4 year old kept asking why the monkey was doing that. I wanted to tell him because he was going crazy in his concrete cell. Some (most) animals were alone. No other animal with them of the same type. Flies every where. The gift shop was absolutely disgusting!!!! The smell of cat urine was sooo pungent!!! The workers were rude!!!! They had a girl working the register who blurted out to all customers she was going to get into trouble because she wasnt suppose to touch the register but yet was the only person there to check people out. She also had no idea how to use the credit card machine but again was the only one there to check you out. She was rude and mouthy and when I got rude back to her she cried. When I told the girl we should have listened to the reviews about this place and not go she said SHE agreed with me and that she leaves the gift shop everyday with MANY flea bites!! An EMPLOYEE said that. I should have taken my money and ran but my 4 year old wanted to feed animals!!! Then the owner tried to be apologetic but also was ignorant. It was the worst $30 ever spent and DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone.I kept telling my family I wanted to leave because i was so sad for the animals. I have so much more to tell that I saw but I hope this is enough to deter anyone else from going in thinking it will be fun and coming out sad and disappointed.

Cat Pee, Flies and Freezer Burnt Ice Cream......If those three things are something youre interested, then feel free to stop.Otherwise: KEEP DRIVING. We were on our way to the PA Grand Canyon and saw these rustic signs. As a biologist, I am always excited for any zoo: large or small. Before we crossed the road, we could smell urine. At first, my husband said Oh, its just zoo smell. Upon entering the gift shop the smell was so intense I started to gag. We did not make it more than ten paces into the gift shop without retreating back to fresh air. I cannot attest to the condition of the zoo, or the rest of the gift shop because we figured, if the entrance was this bad, it could only get worse. For some ungodly reason, we still opted to get food at the snack bar. We were surrounded by buzzing flies, a colony of domestic cats, and the cat urine smell. All of which were obviously an appetite stimulant. (Insert extreme sarcasm here). The service was awful. No hellos, no smiles, no have a nice days. No eye contact for that matter. Just took our money and gave us our acceptable food. The fries were okay, the chicken was gross, and the ice cream was freezer burnt. We opted to eat in our car, away from the smell, away from the cats, away from the flies.Save your time. Save your money. Do NOT go to this zoo. It is awful.

You probably didnt have service to look this up when you went to Animaland. I didnt. If you do though, please do not support this disgusting place with your money. There are two bears in a cage about 15x17, one is terribly overweight, and the other paces about back and forth with no space other than to do that. Theres a tiger in a cage the size of a living room, with nothing but cement to lay on, as well as a Wolf in a pantry sized cage. There was a deer, limping around, its back left leg seemed to be broken. There was an Alpaca with a giant sore on its back, covered in flies. All of the animals seems extremely desperate to get any little scrap of corn kernel you were offering, as if they didnt get fed otherwise.I regret giving this horrible place money. If you are somehow able to read this, report them, rather than support them.

The idea of it is wonderful a less expensive zoo to take the kids to with snacks and gift shop and some of the stuff is neat but lets just say..... it needs some serious attention. The gift shop smells like cat urine so bad I couldnt even stay inside of it. The less aggressive animals are in fences like youd see on an old farm half leaning left and right weeds as tall as some of your kids ( no big deal really). The aggressive animals tigers lions and bears.... well lets just say I hope they always feed them well because I honestly think if they wanted out to eat you they could totally accomplish it. They are basically held in by a higher grade chicken wire and a few staples into wooden posts.... the black bear is in a cage so small he can barely turn around but dont worry he wont get out its like a mini prison cell (he looks terribly sad and honestly you could probably just hang out in a local park to see a wild one), I am the farthest thing from a PITA person my husband is an avid hunter but we do love animals and I felt that alot of these animals looked so sad... I just hope they can either turn the place around or find their animals better homes, like a real zoo with large enclosures that are safe for both the animals and humans. The fact that the owner let a random stranger feed his lion/tiger steak is pretty much proof of how this place is ran.

The owner here is a complete jerk. He was extremely rude to us and others during our visit. While barking out orders to us he routinely said I own this place so do as I say. Owning this dump doesnt mean much. Actually, owning a real dump would be more sanitary than this so called zoo. Its actually animals locked in jail cells filled with piles of their own feces. I feel bad for these poorly treated animals. The owner here is in no condition to care for animals, let alone himself.

This place would have been awesome in the 1970s. Basically a prison for animals with only a few looking like they wanted to be there...most notably the domestic cat walking around freely. It was a little sad to see a black bear caged up in less than 100 square feet when his natural habitat is right there...literally right outside his cage and he can probably smell his cousins freely walking by in the woods just beyond his cell. The tootsie rolls stuck to the goats were a nice touch. Speaking of the goats...I believe the milk for the coffee at the snack bar is local. Im no bleeding heart naturalist but if you love animals....really care for animals...dont come to or support places like this. Im all for ensuring species are propogated for posterity but this should be at large, fully recognized and sanctioned facilities...not animal prison freak shows like this. Sad. Old. Rough. Did I say sad already?

Went up the mountains and decided to see how the zoo was because my 3 year old wanted to feed the animals. This zoo was probably the most depressing thing ive experienced EVER. The animals was so aggressive for corn kernels that there is no way anyone could believe they are being fed properly.. The deer, alpacas all had severe skin sores and flies were just surrounding them. The tiger was in a concrete and aluminum prison, the grass was brown he didnt move, I thought he was dead. The bears, the poor poor bears where enlosed in an area that was smaller than my bedroom. They literally walked in circles. The horses would kick the gates with their hooves trying to get food and attention. The monkies were starving. The beautiful wolf was pacing back and forth obvioulsy ready to go crazy. I would love to starty a petition to shut this zoo down and im not even that big of an animal advocate but this, this was just awful. DO NOT GO THERE AND LET THEM STAY IN BUSINESS AND KEEP THIS ANIMALS CAPTIVE!!!!!!!!!!

I am a die hard animal lover through and through. I went to this zoo because I love going to see the animals. This zoo is absolutely disgusting. The whole building smelled like cat urine, Im sure because of the 10 cats there. The zoo itself is horrible. Its dirty, all the cages are too small, all the cages smell so strongly of animal waste. PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!
