Apple should inform people of their water damage policy over the phone, I wasted about an hour going to the store. Water damage is automatically considered a tier 4 repair and in my case that meant at least a thousand dollar investment. Wasn’t worth it. Customer service was fine, everyone was helpful but still left feeling jipped.
The store manager Amy, Dan, and Reef gave me the best experience I’ve ever had at an Apple store, or any store for that matter. They turned my bad situation into a great one. I came in with a broken in half MacBook and left with a new one with all of my files at a discounted price. I don’t know how they did it!I cannot commend them enough. Amy you are a savior! Dan, you’re the man!
The services and products was really great and especially the customer service that was there and I will definitely come again and bring more friend and family to check the store out and maybe buying a thing or two from the store and it is a definite place you can go to and get your Apple products from a hundred percent.......!!!
This store runs like a well-oiled machine...I have an android, so its all foreign to me ..however, I called to order the wired white earphones, there were non in stock in Center City...Cherry Hill had them, I ordered 2 pairs for the next day...EZ breezy, I went to the store on Walnut and picked them up, it was a/b 15mins total 😀
Girl who helped me was super nice. However she failed to tell me that I needed to buy a wall charger separately from the Apple Watch. When I got home is when I realized it needs a usb-c wall outlet. I wasted over an hour of my time traveling back and forth because a sales associate failed to mention that a specific charger is needed and that it’s sold separately.
My appointment was at 5:50pm. As soon as I came in I checked in with an associate and the wait time was ridiculous. Really disappointed with so many employees there, but service was bad. Whats the point of making an appointment and then waiting 50min for someone to help.
Worse experience ever. Came with an appointment set and showed up 8 mins later then the scheduled appointment and they told me they gave my appointment away. Then proceeded on to tell me that after 10 minutes they give the appointment to someone else even though I wasn’t 10 minutes late. After all that told me the next available appointment won’t be until after an hour. Ridiculous. Steve Jobs legacy ruined.
Excellent customer service! The Best. Apple really knows how to treat their Clientele.I absolutely love Apple. A very classy Corporation that cares about the consumer.Ms.Sarah was a fantastic tech who solved my problem and Mr.Nolan follow it up to make sure all was fine!Thank you Apple for your Excellent Customer Service!
Last time I came here to pick up the phone, I showed my ID card and order number to the staff. He said that he was looking for a friend to help me. The result was 20 minutes, no one helped me, then I took the initiative to find other staff, the situation is very bad. I used to spend half an hour on the mobile phone. I spent an hour in the Apple store, and the parking nearby was very expensive. I won’t come back to the store again in the future.
Bought a $1,400 monitor and needed to return it. The return receipt looked funky to me and I was assured from two different people that it was fine. It was not fine. It was processed as an exchange rather than a return, and now I’ll need to contact this store specifically, not Apple online, to fix the issue. This is a really really bad experience and it will ensure that I never use this store unless I need a genius appointment.
Staff was helpful and knowledgeable as always, and I miss that woman that used to work there (Aaliyah). Wherever she was, shell always be missed, as I did have a crush on her, and I can always hope for the best for the rest of the staff. Times change, but such memories with that store, and I can only wish the best for everybody!
Horrible customer service. I walked in on a Monday and was told that I was illogical that I wanted to purchase a battery so Id have it secured for my Genius Bar appointment on Friday. She was like youll just have to wait and if they dont have a battery then well just have to send your computer away. I walked away away... it wasnt worth arguing over.
Easily the worst service I’ve ever gotten in an apple store in my 15+ years of being an apple customer. My service requests take about 3 weeks longer to turn than store staff claims here - call and they’ll tell you it’s not their problem. Would strongly recommend going to another location if at all possible.
Me being a ANDROID user, this was my first time purchasing an Apple product... The experience was definitely something different! The cash register was built into the tables! Thinking that there was a cash register at the back of the store! LoL, I was helped by a Gentleman named Phil! And he was Amazing!!! Very nice,Very resourceful, Very professional...made my Experience one to remember! Apple should hold on tight to this guy!
Apple phones are great but never buy any extra products from their stores. Was sold screen protector under the pretence they would replace it if it broke and they told me they dont honor that service. Its not a fun feeling to be sold a warranty and then he told its not going to be honored
I absolutely love this store! Of course my affection for Apple products is the main reason for these accolades. This Christmas I went all out and bought an IPad Pro 12.9, an Apple Pencil and a pair of Beats Bluetooth headphones. That was over ten days ago and I am still giddy over my new toys! Everything I bought has surpassed their reputations thus far. I will be reporting back as time goes by with the state of my satisfaction with my purchases.
I went to return an iphone 12 because it didnt meet my expectations. I was seen right away but had to climb through groups of people. The place is so out of order and crowded so beware. I would recommend not allowing walk-ins or have a desk at the door to greet people instead of random apple staff standing around many of which are busy helping other customers. The place is just unorganized. Im not saying that because I wasnt pleased with the iphone either.
Was looking for a new iPad and Scott at this Apple store was very helpful! He answered all of our questions and, as a savvy salesperson, knew when to engage and when to step back to let us play around with the tech. We purchased a 12.9 iPad Pro with keyboard and pencil after this very informative interaction. A fantastic store and a great experience! Highly recommended!
From the moment I stepped into the Apple Store of Walnut Street, I was drawn to Mike. Mikes warm smile and cheerful attitude made me feel all tingly inside. He called my name and ushered me towards him, and it was bliss. He made me feel safe, like I was home. I am a rejuvenated person after my visit to Apple, and I can only hope that the next time I enter, Mike will be there, a newly promoted manager, and ready to welcome me and make me feel safe again.
O arrive to this store and asked one of the employees for help just now today and she sent me to talk with a person at the entrance which I did to sign in and wait for my turn , there were 2 person in front of me which were help immediately. When my turn come the apple employee told me that the earliest that they can help to buy an iPad was 4:15 pm ( time was 12:15!pm) . There were 5 apple employees walking around for I can see able to help . I consider this an act of raíces against my persona .I just walk away .
Ok here’s the thing. If I’m going to make an appointment to purchase a product at your Apple store… and I specify what I’m coming in to get on the appointment maker, tell me you are out of stock of the product. Why would I be able to make an appointment FOR an item when it’s out of stock? Not only did this waste my time, I got up early to go and drop over $1,200 on a IMac, cleared my morning schedule, just to be told “we are out of stock.”Then why would you allow me to make an appointment to purchase an item that’s out of stock?! Tell me how this makes sense?!Easy solution for me. You just lost a sale.
The British male employee buzzing around in the front was really erratic. Yelling aloud that I will have to wait after everyone (in front of me and behind) because I was late (4 min). I was all smiles minding my own business waiting in line. Then had everyone staring at me, many curious of the mini show he put on. Show some tact, mate! If he had only asked what I was needing, I would’ve learned I apparently didn’t need a Genius appointment for making a simple return, which Apple phone support had arranged. The technician was great, however. I think that guy in the front shouldn’t be so preoccupied with training staff when he’s the one who needs training.
I have appointment at 9:35am on 1/21/2021, I went there on time, the security door men checked my ID, said I have different name between the phone and me, and then they rejected me to come in for replacement my iphone battery , the door men standing front of me treat me like enemy , I am the customer , not your enemy. I feel very sad. would never buy iPhone again because the bad service and attitude .I couldnt replace my iPhone 6 plus battery .
I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went in for a phone replacement - the rep did not turn on the phone prior to me leaving to ensure that it worked, and when I got home the phone would not turn on - completely defective. I want back the next morning to remedy the issue - they refused to talk to me to understand the issue, and made me wait outside in the cold for 15 minutes before letting me in to talk someone.Terrible experience every time I go in, I will not be returning to this store.
The Apple store is usually a mess. You need an appointment currently due to Covid, which has been less than stellar for customer service experiences. Staff ranges from rude to helpful. They no longer fix MacBook Pro laptops on site, they send them out, which is a good reason to stick to buying their products as casual toys not serious productivity machines. Buy a ThinkPad if you need a reliable machine with great customer service.
I have tried to make an appointment for weeks on end. I finally manage to get one and I was running late. I called ahead of time to let them know. I was late for this appointment because I was at the DMV and registering to VOTE! The Apple employee wouldn’t allow me in and said I wouldn’t get in for another WEEK! How can a multi-trillion dollar company not have the resources to make this process smoother. I just needed to drop off my computer for a dead battery.
Always helpful! I have bought several computers and phones from here over the years. Every time I go the staff are super nice, knowledgeable, and proactive! Especially with the app, you can book your appointment and not wait around with nothing to do. Definitely coming back.
Due to the pandemic and Philadelphia happenings, the store is not guaranteed to be open during tense political times. However, they have been very communicative with customers about the inconvenience, which I appreciate. I had a laptop in repair when they unexpectedly closed, but they kindly let me know what was happening and offered to ship it to me since I couldnt pick it up.
Don’t bother coming here if you want to buy something. It took 20 minutes and asking 3 employees just to buy headphones. After my first 10 min wait and not seeing the employee I had spoken to, I asked another how long it might be. His response was that I should just leave and come back another day. As though I should have known to allocate 20 minutes of my day to purchase a single item from the shelf. Top notch customer service, Apple.
When you buy a new product form here and no appointment needed, let you get into as quick as they can. Bought a new phone11 within one month, always had high temperatures warning even the temperature was 75.must put the phone near AC for 2mins to continue use it.tired to fix the problem on Apple service almost 4hours and nothing happens but lost most of my contacts on my phone.finally had an appointment at this store, still needed wait on line .make no sense at all.of cause they did not do much but let you fix it by yourself and if the phone’s problem is going on,then bring your phone back.🤣no one has that much time because bought a new phone with this issue
Came here twice to get my broken phone looked at. Had to leave on both occasions after waiting +2 hours even though I had made appointments with the technicians. I sat there regretting every decision I made that led me up to that point. They will be super quick and show 10/10 service if youre buying something though. If you want to get something fixed, good luck.
I had an appointment on monday and they completely ignored me at the door, i got no text or call that they would be closed. Theyve sent me back and forth to best buy and now best buy has sent me back to them. Ive been traveling in snow by bus. My phone has been overheating, my phone has been on 1 percent all day, And when my phone died it didnt turn back on until this morning. i have filed 2 complaints to corporate, i have an appointment tomorrow this is ridiculous, i have the iphone 11 pro. Ive been a loyal customer for years. Straight baloney that they are treating me like this.
For the sole purpose of this place being to sell Apple products, it’s exceptional. The items are laid out and no confusion about what is what. Customer service is great and overall a great place to be.PROSPlace is clean and combined with the excellent customer service, it’s the place to go for all you UNDER WARRANTY Apple devices. The stylish and look of the place seems to mimic their products. They also resolved many of my issues without a fuss and took responsibility for the fact that the device isn’t working.CONThe place is often crowded and although the variety of the staff is great, some of them are clueless to the kind of devices that they are trying to help sell and fix. Additionally, if your device is NOT UNDER WARRANTY, go to a reputable small repair shop because the savings can near $200-$300 if your devices is not in warranty with Apple and going with a small repair shop.OVERALL4.6 because the service is great and again they complete what they are setting out to do. I would visit again
Terribly run and inefficient with their COVID-restrictions. They have employees inside idling by while granting entry only to one person in per appointment. By utilizing more of the space they have towards the middle of the store, they wouldn’t have this confusing maze as to who is supposed to help you when you walk in. Moreover, every employee was rude, and it felt like walking in to a nightclub with the security detail out front.
I just returned from having a battery replaced at this store. I dont usually write reviews, but my experience there was beyond fabulous. Great people, great service, and even though the store was quite crowded the transaction was super fast. It was just a couple of minutes to drop it off, back to work for 45 minutes while they worked on it, and just a few minutes to pick it up.
I recently had to replace the battery in my (4-year old) iPhone, and made an appointment with the Genius Bar online. I arrived at this Apple Store as the designated time, and was shown a place to wait for the Genius to assist me. As usual, the place was absolutely packed with potential customers ogling the new releases, security monitoring said customers, and a seemingly endless supply of sales reps/Geniuses.I waited 5-10 minutes before being helped--the service was efficient, thorough, and my problem was diagnosed within a few minutes of consultation. I left my phone with the store so they could replace the battery, and was told to come back in forty-five minutes. The phone was ready for me when I returned to the store, and it was just a quick wave of Apple Pay before I was back on my way.
This place is very unorganized and the employees are very rude. I called the store directly and spoke to one of the sales specialist, I was told they have the I pad I wanted in store and I can walk in after 15 minutes to purchase is. When I arrived, the person they have at door refused to let me in and waved with his hand in a very disrespectful way. I spoke with one if managers and he apologized for the employee behavior. I still believe I was discriminated against and I feel very offended
The staff is extremely rude. It is understandable that due the COVID-19 there are some problems with number of people allowed in the store, but .. From one hand, you may not set up the time for repair on line, on another hand, when you come, they said, that it is 4 hours waiting time. And I was third in line. Terrible service.
I came all the way out here. It’s finals week. And my apple MacBook Pro broke. I had cash and was trying to buy a computer. They would not let me in the store and said I had to make an appointment and come back, when the store was completely empty. Anyone who has been to grad school -Especially in a virtual world- understands the importance of time and then necessity of a computer at this moment.
Absolutely think twice before visiting this location. Incredibly long wait times, have to talk to multiple employees to get answers. But while waiting and spending money you are surrounded by homeless people using the demo equipment. Children were cutting security cords to floor products to steal, alarms, police responding. When spending this type of money for Apple Products waiting in these conditions is unacceptable.
It was very crowded and no place to sit while you wait for your turn to come up. The good thing that they do is if you have a long wait time you can go shop or get a bite to eat and they will text you when it is your turn. The only thing I didnt know is how much time do you have to get there before your appointment time is closed.
I visited Apple to buy 2 iPhones and a smart watch. But by mistake got a wrong color. I visited it again to get the color changed and there were no issues in doing that. The representatives were really friendly and helped me in selecting everything really well.Hope to visit this place again in future.
Super weird service...Placed an order in the morning and realized put a wrong email address. Contacted Apple immediately and received new confirmation with order number. However, they asked to call the operator again to verify my identification. It took more than 30’ for nothing. But they got all my information (ID),phone number and the card that I purchased. So i have to cancel the old order after 40’ waiting on phone.
I absolutely hate having to walk past there so going in and actually having an appointment that wasnt catered to was upsetting. After 40 minutes there and realizing my product of of a sudden wanted to start working was even more annoying. The bitter old lady across from who though she deserved to be seen sooner kept complaining, it was super crowded, I kept getting bumped I only saw 3 satisfied customers actually leave the store in the time I was there other than that the apple store pretty much look like a xoo
Doing repairs/service with apple is always such a dreaded experience. you schedule an appointment and arrive five minutes early just so you can sit and stare at an ugly anodyne wall for 30 minutes before someone comes to help you. this has always been the case for me at the walnut street store and other locations. it really sucks just so so much and i know i’m not alone in feeling so strongly in the negative about waiting in an apple store.this most recent trip i had my watch repaired. the associate said all the watch info is saved in my phone and when the repaired device comes back all i have to do is pair it to my phone and it will start up just as it was the day i brought it in for service. this was NOT the case at all. it’s like setting up a wholly new watch. i need to make the new line of watch faces, customize each of their complications, pick which apps i want, arrange the apps as i had, and then set up the cellular connection.so I get to incur an additional charge of 90 minutes of my life as well as the $70 to get the screen fixed. sick 🤮
There is this one employee who couldn’t help herself but make snarky comments and roll her eyes at everything I asked for. This interaction would be unreasonable even between friends, but she is a store employee and I was a customer. This was a while ago, but she’s still working there and this is absolutely infuriating. Hire enough people like this and Apple will no doubt lose customers. All other times, the experience has been great. If you are going in for a repair, you should call or chat with Apple support first, because that will expedite the process and give you more time to ask questions—and chat will stay on the record so they cannot misinform you.
Excellent Service, Nikki & Chuck were great, pleasant, kind and explained everything. Store is very busy but once the tech is with you they give you their undivided attention and stay with to the end.I felt like a valued customer and they went above and beyond leading to a perfect solution. Thank you!
The stars are for the gentleman who helped me was sweet. Other than that it sucks. This store made me wanna buy an android for the first time in 10 years. Maybe it would be simpler. You would think we were all there to get a heart transplant. The wait alone was annoying. I was inside an Apple store and STILL had to call Apple support. I spent 2 hours in the store before I got real help. Annoyed.
This store always has a constant hustle n bustle crowd thats bursting with enjoyable energy. The employees are very pleasant and helpful and you can tell they love their job! I take the train to this location because parking is hard to get and the parking authorities are quick to give you a ticket!
My son needed a new phone and he did his research and knew what he wanted. We went to this location and Julia was the first person to approach us. She was easy to talk with and she was able to help Luke in getting and setting up his new phone. Jake was the second person who assisted us in purchasing his phone. We could not have asked for better people to help us and when we left the Apple store, my son was using his new phone. Thank you, Julia and Jake for making our phone purchase so easy.
I have an iPhone and today on Maps, it directed me to take the furthest way of walking to my destination. As I was walking, my phone died when I had fully charged it. I very recently had my battery changed, so there is no reason why my iPhone should malfunction like that. I ended up having to guess my way around the area. I couldnt find my location with a dead phone, so I walked around for about half an hour, and then had to go home when I could not find the store after the iPhone had directed me there.
The store itself is just like many other Apple stores although it tends to get crowded. My biggest complain was regarding my recent visits to the genius bar. The different people I talked to they all gave very confident but different and contradictory diagnostics. It took 3 visits to finally get my computer working. Store manager contacted personally to apologize for the inconvenience which was very much appreciated.
This is the worst Apple Store I’ve ever been to. I The worst appointment schedule. What the point of making an appointment when I had to wait for hours?I went to this store to get my Apple Watch checked because the battery runs out drastically to 10% after 5 hours. One of the technical supports checked it, but he made me look stupid that I didn’t know how to use the watch.Apple should invest in customer service training program for its staff. The products are so expensive and we deserve to be treated better.
The team at this store is wonderful at their Customer Service. In the midst of all the customers and what looks to be chaos, they give a great personalized, knowledgeable, service experience. In this day and age of poor service, kudos to Apple and the team at this location. You are much appreciated!
Always a busy store. The employees are really nice and try their best to stay afloat.Get an appt for the Genius Bar. Showing up without an appt could be an hour or more wait. Genius Bar guys are nice, but not always right. I recently went in and they couldn’t figure out my computer (wouldn’t turn on and had keyboard issues). They did some troubleshooting and basically recommended major service ($500-$600) for a keyboard replacement or buying a new MacBook.I bought a new one after a lot of waiting for a sales person to be free.I went home and tinkered with the laptop myself and fixed it. Ended up returning the new laptop with any issues.Don’t always take the Genius Bar’s word as the end. Try fixing yourself or seeking a second opinion!
Terrible parking.Crowded.Took longer to get a person to “help” than it took the 35 min to find parking. To find out they “can’t” fix a cracked display since there was moisture at some point in the past.Get your apple gear fixed third party, for less money, and better parking.
30 minute wait for a genius appointment even with arrangements beforehand. Then another round of repeated tests already done over the phone with apple, only to be told that it is my fault that apple’s product does not meet a third of his promised lifespan and it would cost me $200. Talk about hidden fees.
The personnel at this store are always polite, friendly and professional. I purchased a MacBook Air there, and got a great deal of one-one training. But I am very unhappy with the service I recently received. When my laptop was having trouble, they let me drop it off so they could take a look and make any necessary repairs. I was told it would take about 24 hours. The next day so I called and was told it wasnt ready. They said I would have it on the following day. The next two days came and went with no word. I then received a call that it was ready so I rearranged my work schedule so I could go to the store and pick it up. Once there, it was found once again to not be working, and that they needed another 24 hours. I did receive a call later that day that they had the part they needed in-house and had been able to fix my laptop.Again, while everyone was extremely nice, polite, and professional, I find it unacceptable that this simple thing took so long and that I was told I could pick it up only to find it was still not working.
Ridiculously busy but they have a good handle on it with there sign in system. I waited 2-3 hours to be seen. Have to coordinate parking if your not walking which can be difficult. In the end, very helpful employees. It helps to sign in and initially walk away for a time frame.
The store is beautiful, but unfortunately is constantly filled with browsers, and getting real service takes quite a bit of time. Most of the time theyre very helpful and attentive, but occasionally you get lost in the shuffle and feel like youve been abandoned, unless if course youre buying a MacBook and iPhone, which is understandable considering theyre mostly salespeople and not there to keep you company.
Had an appointment for 4pm. Walk in the store and was greeted immediately and checked in. Proceeded to the Genius Bar and waited while right in the middle for over 45 minutes before someone asked me if I had an appointment. Apparently I was deleted from the queue. But it really doesnt matter what anyone rates Apple because once you get one they have you by the balls.
Matt the manager showed me the worst customer service I was told on the phone by an Apple Support employee that I could replace my headphones for free since they were covered by Apple care and told them exactly what was wrong with them. When I got there I was told by Matt that they couldnt be replaced and would be charged 22$ and from what I found out if I bought them new it would cost me 25$. Now if that was told to me prior I would not have come down. It was a complete waste of my time also inadequate management and customer
I absolutely love apple and love the staff at this store. I’ve been to this location about a dozen times over the years and am blown away every time I go in because they are always packed wall to wall yet seem to have ample staffing that’s always friendly and attentive. I have made several Genius Bar appointments and their customer service is truly fantastic. Thank you Apple for setting the bar so high!
I spoke with 2 different people when I came in. The first confirmed my appointment and sent me to someone else. The second also confirmed my appointment and sent me to sit down. Apparently neither of them actually signed me in, so I sat there for 25 minutes before asking someone what was going on. They offered no apology and said I would be next. Another 20 minutes later, someone was finally ready to help me, but by that point I was tearing up from frustration and the relief sent me over the edge. I, an adult woman, cried in an Apple store.Just to replace my phone battery.Oh, and the wait took so long that I got a parking ticket, which cost more than the battery. Thanks.
Very bad customer experience. They didnt communicate with their customers in a warm and polite way. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment even though I was running to the store after my work. I was told to wait in a line then several minutes later a store personal told me my appointment was expired and the next available appointment would be 2 hours later. I begged if he can still take a look at my iPhone without letting me wait for another 2 hours. He answered with a sarcastic tone Do you want me to put you in front of all these people who came here on time? I was stunned by his attitude. He could have simply said sorry I cannot do that for you instead of making their customers felt ashamed of themselves.
Took my new iPhone 10 and into the Walnut St., Apple Store last night. After being told by some general employees that they wouldn’t work on my phone because I had the screen replaced by Asurion I’ve requested to speak to whoever was in charge. Quinn came over and took care of the situation quickly and had my phone in tiptop shape in another half hour. I would’ve gave a five star rating but some of the other employees are not aware that Asurion and Apple have a partnership and that they use all Apple parts and they are covered under your general warranty for your new phones so don’t let them ever tell you that that’s not true.
This Store has bad customer service. I had brought headphones from this location on 4/18 the medal piece that goes inside the phones had broken off. I went back to the store on 4/28 and they had told me that they will not be able to replace the headphones because it has physical damage. I explained to the rep that the piece had broken and it was not my fault, he said I can send you to a manager but they are going to say the same thing. He sent me to a manager and she basically said the same thing. I told her I only had the headphones for 18 days and I have a receipt. She said medal do not break and something in my bag probably broke the medal piece, I told here there is nothing in my bag strong enough to break the medial piece to my headphones I told her I am not leaving this store until my headphones get replaced because I did not break them. She said I will replace them this time but I am going to put a note in (AS IF SHE WAS DOING ME A FAVOR) she called a store associated over and said can you replace these because they broke on their own in a sarcastic way. He said oh thats what she said, mind you I am standing right in front of them. I explained to both of them, I can buy anything in this store if I wanted to do not try to down play me like I am trying to get over. I would not have came all the way down here to get over for $30 headphones. she made it seem like she was doing me a favor by giving me free headphones. I paid for something and if they break within 18 days and if I have the receipt, I have the right for them to be replaced because it was a manufacture issue. She ask me 2 times how did they break, I explained to her miss if I knew how they broke I would have told you. People always say this store is bad fro business this is why I go to the Apple store in Cherry. They have a much better vibe and their customer service is awesome.
Nicest workers ever!!!!! My iPhone 6s Plus stopped charging randomly (turns out I bought a used phone online unknowingly) and I went in to see what they could do. Ended up having to trade the phone with a pretty hefty fee (it was already off warranty) for the same one. My order was incredibly difficult due to technical difficulties with my purchase I made of the phone originally. The workers were efficient, helpful, and kind. I couldnt have asked for better service! Thank you Alex, Regina, Rob, Chris, and basically everyone in the store!!!
Lots of staff in the store but getting an honest answer from sales people is more difficult then pushing a sheep through a fence. I came in to ask about the warranty on the screen protectors and immediately Chad the almighty genius Apple associate was prompt to assume me that unless he is blind there is no warranty on screen protectors. I was off-put because when I purchased my phone and screen protector at the store, Sally the sweet girl that sold me the phone originally was insistent that if the protection screen is damaged I can have it replaced under the two year warranty. Sensing a tab bit of insincerity in Chads demeanor, I asked to see the packaging. Sure as the night is dark and the sun is bright there it read on the box that there was a two year warranty. Chad didnt care. He aint replacing sh**. I asked to see if I could see how the second screen protector they offer looked on a phone (clear instead of a matte consistency). Chad was quick to assure me that he would have to destroy the packaging and he was not willing to go to such extreme lengths. Its seems as though not a single associate in the store uses the screen protector on their phones so I thanked him and left. All I wanted was a new screen protector and I wouldnt mind paying for a new one but after the turds I was fed my stomach was uneasy. One star because Chad sucks.
You go in and theres no way to know where to go or who to approach. Every staff member is busy, and theres one long line of people waiting, but no sign of whether you should get in that line or if it would be a waste of time. Why dont they have a clear indication of an intake person or place? Would that be uncool?( Once you get to them, the staff are nice enough.)
Good customer service overall. I had been to Apple Walnut Street 5-7 times. I always had good experiences. The store manager is a nice person. One time I had to return an iPhone and I forgot to bring the USB cable as I was using it to back it up with my computer and forgot to remove. The person who was helping me through returns noticed no USB cable and so I realized I have forgotten it at home. I knew I cant return it that time so I said I will bring everything together next day. And before I take back the phone, he went to manager to ask something. Little that I know he actually went to ask the manager if it is still ok to accept returns without the cable. And came back with the smile saying dont worry the cable. I asked 2 times are you really sure? I also said I can still bring the cable next day and but he said Not at all..you can keep the cable. I never expected how nice a person can be.
The Apple store was ok....The first employee that greeted us & imputed our issue into his computer was extremely friendly & nice!!! The second employee that helped us was also very nice & helpful too!!! However, my friend had to call Apple customer service while there & was talking a little loud, because he was very nervous being outside of his comport zone (he has a disability) & another Apple employee, while with a customer approached him w/o kooth, kindness, manners &/or cust. srv. adequate of any kind sooooooo rudely leaving us completely dumb founded......I had my friend wait behind, so I could have a few words with the employee to explain his disability. She did apologise for her original response & actions towards him, which made me feel a tad better, but the whole experience haunted me.... My goal here is to enlighten others with family, friends, etc with disabilities not noticeable on approach to be very aware when going to this particular Apple store. I also hope that Apple reads this post & shares this with ALL their employees so it doesnt happen to anyone else. Thank you for reading & plzzzzzz share for those who suffer in silence.
I was having hardware problems with my iPhone so I made an appointment at the genius bar. Everyone I talked to was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Even though I was late for my appointment they were able to squeeze me in and fixed the problem within a short amount of time.
The experience at this store in the last 3 times that Ive been there were absolutely horrible. Im not one to write a review but seeing as how every person that I came in contact with there was the worst, then I will write one. Of course it is the only store in the city so I have no other choice but I went in asking questions about my plan and the guy that attended me just wanted to make the sale and any questions I had he did not know or said the wrong answer (after asking an AT&T rep I confirmed my questions). If i went with his advice I would have lost $25/month with AT&T plan that I have now. He knew nothing at all and kept asking, Are you going to buy it or not. I get that they are selling iPhones and other things so rapidly and there are so many customers but they have to know that each customer is new and should be treated right. The girl taking the appointments was extremely rude moving her finger in fast fashion as I was giving her my phone number as if to hurry me up. Today I went in to actually get the phone and seemed like online it said closing at 7pm so I go in and the female cop (or whatever she is) that was there was the RUDEST of them all. She screamed at me (literally) telling me to go away (literally) because they are closed. I love apple and their products but they need some serious renovation in customer care in this store specifically.
Very helpful Apple store. Even when its busy, they are able to see you fairly quickly and there are lots of people around to help. Theyll also put screen covers on your phone for you using a nifty little device that gets it.right every time. If youve ever ruined one of these, you know how irritating it is to have your screen covered in bubbles. Ew. Good store for your Apple needs.
I came in with an extremely difficult hardware problem to diagnose on my MacBook Pro. If I moved the laptop at all while connected to my external monitor, it would lose communication with the external monitor. I had determined that the problem was neither the HDMI adapter, nor the HDMI cable. It took about an hour and a half, but they finally figured out that that best solution to the problem was to reset my pram. This seems to have fixed my problem. This was a much better solution than swapping out the logic board.
After a year of having my Macbook, had a defect on the Retina screen. Apple completely replaced the screen without question, and were incredibly helpful and kind. Great customer service. Just as a heads up... if you dont like wait, make a Genius Bar appointment. SUPER easy to do (just use the Apple Store app) and youll walk right in.
Had to wait two hours for appointment for the roaming geniuses it would be cool if they had a snack bar inside the Apple Store the store is good for roaming and geniuses for roaming around for a product that is expensive also I could do with the Apple Store vending machine if I need a product and get some information on the product real quick kind of like the Apple Store Go if they have that in the future quite literally you look for a product you buy it and then go thats quick customer service.
Poor customer service, especially if you dont have apple care while having a broken or unresponsive device. I came to the store with a broken device and was given the same speeches and run-arounds from every representative. I received NO HELP! Luckily the representative name Regina was sooo helpful. She is the reason why Im giving this store 4-stars. Thanks Regina you are the best!
Very busy store. Unfortunately it took very long before I was helped although I made it very clear I wanted to buy an IPad. My purchase was processed in a standardized manner. I received no extra information or tips.. My visit to the apple store was disappointing. Very happy with my purchase though.
So came here from Florida, and seeing these comments on here about waiting 20 mins to be seen made me laugh! Last night when we arrived in Philly, I dropped my phone and it was run over by our Uber driver. I was dreading going to the apple store, last time I went (in Jax Florida) I waited 4 hours to be seen and I made an appointment. Last night I went in and was seen in 5 mins given a new phone in 5 mins and sent my way in all of 30mins! Best customer service a girl can ask for, thank you!
DISAPPOINTED and ANGRY! I ordered airpods online because the website said they were in stock at this location. I get the email confirming my order was ready to be picked up. I make the journey to the store only to arrive and an employee at the door advises the store is closed unexpectedly. Huh? What? I told him that I was only there to pick up my online order. He apologized and said the store hopes to reopens tomorrow, Saturday. No good for me because I hadnt planned to return to the city (i.e. make a special trip) on the weekend? Damn, Apple, why couldnt you hand me my online purchase since I had already paid for it and so that I (the CUSTOMER) would not be inconvenienced.
Sucks..... too many staff still slow on service they wont let seat unless you having a workshop with them or will teach ypu how to operate their tablet... ive been waiting for 2 hours and still waiting for the service. The genius bar probably genius but they not genius enough to make the service a little bit faster and they dont think about giving you a seat for the waiting area.... this is crazy.... owner do something about this. Staff told me to leave and get something to eat because i cant wait in the store standing.... omg...
Horrible customer service! I came here to repair my Mac around 2pm. They scheduled an appointment for me at 4pm. I came back at 4pm and was told they were not ready for me and asked me to wait for a text alert. I waited for 40min and got the text message. Then I went to Genius Bar. Again they asked me to wait at the table and said someone would come to me. Then I waited another 15min only to be told to wait 10min longer and then theyll be ready. My appointment was 4pm and I waited for an hour and 10min at Apple Store. Somehow people working there are very good at avoiding eye contact with you when you try to ask someone for help.
After visiting 2 other apple stores on launch day this is the only apple store which still had the new Apple Watch in stock Douglas was a great help I waited in line outside for over 20 minutes but that is understandable to happen on launch day as soon as I walked into the store I was out within 10 minutes very happy
Iphone XR just died bc it was defective. I brought it into Apple just now and the associate ran a diagnostic on the phone to determine it was defective. Rather than help me, the rep told me I needed an appt and the appt wouldnt happen for 2+ days. I asked them why he could not replace it since its a brand new phone as of 2 months ago and re-iterated that I need an appt. I couldnt go without my phone so he suggested that I come in the next day. Asked again why they cant just replace my phone and he equated the appt for the phone to a Dr office and that I cant just walk in and receive help. Where is the emergency room for a phone considering it is not breathing and cannot be resuscitated??? terrible service and attitude from the associate. Considering this was an apple software issue and not personal, I am not sure how they can treat people like that.
Apple sales rep tells me Apple Care can be purchased at ANY time - Ive asked him twice and he confirmed this info. Later I try to purchase Apple Care, only to find out this is NOT the case. 2 other reps on the phone tell me incorrect information, I wasted hours of my time speaking to multiple agents and managers from Apple customer service. One agent tells me its cheaper to use a third-party service than to purchase Apple Care. (Im buying Apple products, obviously I cost efficiency isnt priority, lol) Bought 2 iPhone X models, an Apple TV, Airpods, and a MacBook Pro from this store but have turned away from Apple since. How can you trust a brand with employees that are clueless about services they sell?
I always liked Apple but my last visit to this store was not only the waste of time. I was trying to recycle my old MacBook and tried to do it online. I had a technical issue with the website so I decided to call this Apple store to see if I can just come in and do the recycling there. I was going to the city anyways so why not get this done. So before I go, I call them to confirm I can recycle it in the store. The girl on the phone says that they will accept the computer for recycling if I bring it. Well, they did not and did not help me to set it up for me online either. I had to leave the store with the heavy computer in my bag and no help. They also did not have many people in there yet the customer service people did not really pay attention to me and left me with 0 help.
It was a really cool shopping experience. I got in line for a 4S opening day, the line was moving pretty steady. They came out and gave bottled water, which was a nice touch. I knew what I wanted and once inside, they pretty much hand held me right through it.Update 5 days later: After the Apple rep seriously messed up my ATT account I called back and got the typical Apple smugness Ive come to expect. I like the product but now feel disgusted with myself for setting foot in that store.
I would like to leave a review regarding iPhoneX and also regarding apple customer care service.I purchased iPhoneX couple month ago and been having glitches with my phone, where I can’t see who is calling and can’t accept the phone calls. I contacted apple care and they offered to exchange the phone for me. I had to change my phone 3 times and still no luck. I am having problems with my phone and with apple care because they can’t not do anything for me. I was told they can’t do anything I just have to wait till their engineers will fix that problem. Apple care really are useless because they can’t give any information and not willing to help. Now they even are not willing to speak with me and giving me run around.
Needed a battery replacement. Made an appointment online specifically at this store for the specific model’s battery replacement. Got to the store. Waited around an hour for someone to see me only to find out there aren’t any batteries available. Was put on a waitlist. Received an email 3 days later to come back for the battery. Was told they were too backed up. Got sent back to come the next day. Came back. Waited an hour for my phone at the Starbucks across the street while the battery was being replaced. Returned an hour later to be told that my phone’s battery strip broke during repair and they’ll just give me a replacement phone of the same model. The battery was $31 with taxes but had to pay the same amount in Uber fare because of the number of times I had to visit. They can definitely work on their service. 🙄
Terrible management. I went there to pick up my order. It took 40 min. There was no difference in the wait between for pick-up vs. for just questions or on-site purchasing. It normally took less than 5 minutes for me to pick up my orders in very crowded stores in NYC. I would not go to Walnut store anymore, even though it is very close to my home. I would rather have it delivered.
Bought a brand new Apple TV and tried to exchange for the Apple 4K a few weeks later and they don’t accept exchanges. Would have been nice if the sales associate told me a new Apple TV was coming out in a week. Well maybe this wasn’t a fruitless trip as my smart case was falling apart and perhaps they could resolve this matter. Nope. They won’t replace that either. Since “it’s cosmetic”. Nothing like having pockets full of rubber shards daily. Go Apple your customer service rocks.
Very disappointed in their Genius Bar service. I had a MacBook Pro fail to load and my preliminary research indicated that it may have a faulty cable connecting the harddrive internally. Took it here and the tech said the harddrive was dead and needed to be replaced. I mentioned the possibility of bad cable but he said that wasnt the issue and it needed to be shipped off and replaced and my data would be lost. He didnt even bother to open up the machine and look inside. Well, I took it to a computer repair place in town and they had it up and running in a couple of hours and - yep - it was a faulty cable. The moral of the story the Apple store is more interested in getting you to buy a new product that fixing a broken one. Definitely go elsewhere for repair.
Disappointing scheduled visit for free battery replacement. Initial problem solving had a quote of over $25.00 involved. Once I corrected the employee - No, it’s free - I was then informed that, due to my cracked screen, I’d have to shell out about $150.00.I left.Update, 8/25/18The very helpful and friendly guy who runs iGeeks in Ardmore changed out my broken screen, AND sold me a brand new, practically bulletproof case - BOTH for $90.00!!My battery is still dying in record time, so I will reschedule at the Apple store
Friendly helpful workers, they seem to be trained very well on the products they sell. I was asked immediately as I walked in, I like that... Some people don’t, not sure why...I noticed so many people there where loitering, I was kind of confused, maybe they have free Wi-Fi or something but nevertheless I was helped and I was on my way.
Friendly Staff at ‘Genius Bar’. Don’t live in Center City so only go to that area of Philadelphia maybe once or twice a month at most. Had purchased a 10’ white cord for charging iPhone 6 but took much too long to charge battery so only used it coupla times & continued using short, damaged one that I had. Was hit or miss whether it would charge battery. Kept receipt & box. Two months after 10’ purchase, staff approved swapping for 4’ cord plus they also cleaned iPhone slot where recharging cord is plugged into (don’t know what it’s called). Btw, wasn’t a cold walk-in. Had an appt. Not much waiting. Was in/out after 45 mins plus got $5.00 refund. Also, with new shortened cord, phone always charges now & quickly.
I went in and granted the store was busy, it’s center city Philadelphia, have more people working. Also they were sold out of AirPods at 1:30pm. I can’t understand how an Apple Store would be sold out of AirPods. I understand AirPods are very popular right now but a store of that caliber should not be running out of their most popular product. And finally the two associates (one male, short, short dark hair and a goatee/ one woman short reddish brown hair) that I had asked were very rude and told me to “just go online and order them because we don’t know when we will have them again.” When I told them I was paying in cash the man rudely told me to buy a gift card and “do it that way.” Some customer service. I didn’t even ask their names because I’d never been treated so poorly at any Apple Store. The Cherry Hill Apple store is much much better. I suggest steering clear of those sour people.
I went to the store to purchase an iPad. The first person was a greeter and could not sell to me but put me in line for a salesperson. I waited almost 15 minutes for someone although many apple people were not waiting on customers. Finally Ben came over and when I mentioned the number of people not waiting on customers he said they all have different jobs and are all busy. I said I wanted to purchase the iPad and eventually he said that he would not sell to me because I could not come into the store and insult people. Fine -- I can purchase at other locations. Obviously this sale was unimportant to Ben.
Always pack great products everything is always on display you go in here to get one thing fixed and come out spending more money great display items awesome customer service good environment even better the police is always in the store and on the scene in case anything happened not a chaotic environment which is worth spending my money on time cuz I feel safe team Apple forever!!
Too tailored for fans. Open modern layout looks cool, but creates excessive crowd noise which is inconsistent with need to discuss serious problems with expensive products and services, in my opinion. Disappointed over issues with late-2016 MacBook Pro, and dissatisfactory experiences trying to resolve the issues at this location.
Store is kept up nicely. Wish they would expand to other areas in Philly outside Center City. Bought an iPad 3 for my birthday shortly after it came out, and I could not have been happier with my experience. Whenever Im in Center City, I always make sure to stop here.

2021-11-27Upgraded to iPhone 13 Pro Max. This phone is quite different than any other iPhone upgrade. Selection and purchase made online. Purchased items were ready at time of appointment. Apple staff were more than kind to help me troubleshoot and recover access to every online account I thought useful.

2022-08-04I’ve come to this Apple Store a few times over the years for iPhone repairs, air pod repairs and air pod replacement etc…, and I’ve always had pretty good experience but for most part it’s always a pretty long wait time especially if you go in with no appointment so your best chance to be seen quicker is to schedule an appointment before just showing up. The staff here are pretty nice and very helpful though from what I have experienced.

2022-04-25A team member named Alex was swift in helping me purchase a new iphone (and sell back my old one) in record time. My appointment started at 6:30 and the store closed at 7p.Not due to Alex, but because of the closing time, I felt a bit rushed but got everything done in time. My husband was also trying to do the same, and the person helping him and a lead/manager (male, white) basically said they couldnt help us finish the process we were almost done with because they were closing without charging us a $30 processing fee at that point. We understand that the store was closing, but it also felt like we were being pushed out the door.We went to Suburban Squares Apple Store where we were helped and got everything done quickly and with more efficient tips and tricks by the team member there.

2022-06-14Highly would recommend NOT coming here if you need help with any repairs. We arrived 15 minutes late to our appointment, to be told the appointment was cancelled and they’ll get us seen in 10-15 minutes. 1 hour later, we were yet to be seen. 10 minutes before closing time, they tell us that they couldn’t find us when we were sitting in the waiting area for repairs the entire time. Absolutely ridiculous waiting times.

2022-05-10Overall, good experience. I ordered an iPad online and went for pick up. I missed my scheduled pick up time due to parking struggles. The store was really crowded, busy and loud which was a bit of a turn off for me.However, service was quick for pick-up. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The staff seemed friendly.

2022-05-25Beats fit pro that I bought in December 2021 are having connectivity issues. I pulled off silicone ear tip as any normal individual would to clean them before bringing my headphones to the store. In removing the ear tip, the mesh insert of the headphones on both fell out. Literally just fell out. Didn’t do anything special, or overly exert force to get the tips off, just pulled from the back like I normally would.Only things I’ve done with them is put them in and take them out of my ears. I workout , I sweat and maybe that’s the reason for the movable mesh, but whatever. When i took them to the store to be looked at, everyone was friendly lol, but I have 2 issues - first, I tell the guy that initially assisted me that the mesh insert came out and he said nothing about possibly having to pay for repair because of the mesh being missing. I get told that I will need to pay $89 for the mesh to be repaired before the connectivity issue can be looked at. Okay, wasn’t paying for something I didn’t break, cancel the repair and send them back.Second, get them back to the store and the supervisor Kirk tells me the same thing, which is okay. Issue I have is he speculates on what I could have done to get the ear tips off. “Sometimes people stick something in the ear tip to try and pull them off” - People lie everyday B, but if you’re going to speculate, you might as well put a lie detector in the store to determine whether or not products are defective like people say or if someone is really trying to game the system lol. Unfortunate to have a product that costs as much as it does, and not be able to have it repaired when they’re practically new, and you DIDN’T cause the damage.

2022-08-06Workers make you feel uncomfortable and are cold. You feel like you are at the DMV not spending thousands for a brand of your choice.

2022-03-14I recently had a issue with my iPhone 7 not having any service when I’m outside due to so internal hardware issue, I brought it to the store and they said I could get a replacement which I was fine with only thing was it had to be shipped to the store. I asked the lady who was helping if I could pick it up the following week and she told me I could have that arranged. I went to the store a couple days ago to pick up the phone and they told me they didn’t have the phone for me anymore and proceeded to point me on an appointment( same day) and the guy told me it was gonna be 5-10 min wait so I sat in the store. I was waiting for a hour and 20 mins to be seen and no one came over to assist me, horrible service and I probably won’t be back there for a while

2019-03-14A busy store in town, with a lot of young, nice , helpful and friendly staffs that they know what they doing, I like to walk in then make appointment on line , no idea why it’s so complicated! So that’s why I just walk in , it works well , while when I waiting for time I can shopping around that area. Cool!
