If you want exceptional care for your pet with sensitive and knowledgeable doctors and staff, do yourself and your pet a favor, go to Art Museum Veterinary Center. If there was a higher rating I could provide, I would certainly give it. I am absolutely satisfied. I gave this rating two years ago and my comments have not changed. Extraordinary care.
Absolutely phenomenal staff, truly empathetic and caring for both clients and patients. Responded with kindness and resolve to an unhappy feline, and explained everything with thoroughness and and patience. Waits were on the long side, but Ive found that to be true of any vet, and few are so understanding. A singularly pleasant experience for human and animal alike!
Dr Colman was very friendly and took time with me. Addressed all my concerns and I felt very comfortable with her and Sadies up coming dental surgery in her hands. Also, the staff was warm and friendly. I left with the feeling I picked the right vet,. Was first visit.
Sugi did his neutering here. Staff extremely helpful, knowledgeable, communicative. They followed up multiple times over the phone to make sure he’s doing well post surgery and always welcomed my follow up calls with exceptional care and attention. Truly 5 star service.
I literally can’t think of a single flaw. They’re always so patient with me, the crazy cat lady that I am. They return emails super fast and always get in touch when they say they will. Their costs are the best I’ve received in veterinary care and they’re always up front about any charge. The waiting area and the rooms are always clean. I’ve never encountered a single unpleasant or unprofessional staff member. Everyone, from the receptionists, to the techs, to the doctors, are all so knowledgeable and helpful. They all seem to love what they do and clearly go the extra mile in every category. And we’re so grateful!
I have a fairly anxious dog who really does not like other dogs. The staff at the Art Museum Veterinary care were very caring and understanding of his temperment. I had three appointments before he was able to be seen. I am grateful to their team for their understanding and support.
This vet is not even my normal vet that we go to. We normally go to Art Museum Vet (which northern liberties vet center is affiliated with). Yesterday, on 8/2, my husband called Art Museum to describe what was happening with our dog. We were told to call back the next morning 8/3 at 9AM to schedule a same day visit even though they said there was a 10:30AM and 3PM appointment available. They also prescribed an anti inflammatory without assessing or examining him. We called the next day 8/3 at 8:59 AM and were told that all same day appts were taken by previous callers. We were told multiple times to call at 9AM to get those appts, but apparently, they were taking calls prior to 9AM, so other clients were able to make the appts before the time we were told to call. They then told us about their affiliation with Northern liberties vet center. Since this was not our normal vet, they were much farther than Art museum. We called and were able to get a same day appt for 10:30AM. The Vet Tech called to get all of this information and symptoms. That was when I told her our situation and how we were originally supposed to go to Art Museum which is very close to our house. I arrived at Northern Liberties vet at 10:40AM and waited outside per the sign that said doors are locked, please knock. No response, and I saw the receptionist, Wren, on the phone. After waiting a couple minutes I tried to see if the door was open. I was then rudely approached by a tech saying that we were more than 10 minutes late and that there would be a late fee. I proceeded to tell her that I was waiting outside for a couple minutes and if there was any way she could waive the late fee as my dog was in pain and needed to be seen. I explained the whole situation from the day before and she said well you should have called at 8am, not 9am for Tuesday appts. This is not what we were told REPEATEDLY by both vets. I asked to speak with the manager JULIET who was useless and provided no help. Even if they were going to charge a late fee, the first thing they couldve asked was how is your dog doing, not Theres going to be a late charge. Overall, just horrible service and it seems that they value profits over patient care. That is just unprofessional and unacceptable. Transferring our dogs records to somewhere else. DO NOT GO HERE.THIS PLACE TOLD US TO CALL AT 9AM FOR SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY WILL GIVE OUT APPTS BEFORE THE GIVEN TIME.
Extremely clean, very friendly and experienced staff. I can not say enough positive things about my experiences at both the Art Museum and Northern Liberties Vet Centers. They are absolutely wonderful. I recently began taking my cat and dog there after my usual vet did not have urgent availability. It was the best thing to happen. I had no idea what I was missing out on! Not to mention that I am always pleased with the prices of the services. The staff is savvy with getting your pup to get onto the scale as well as how to maintain calmness during the exam. Highly recommend taking your pets to either the Art Museum or Northern Liberties location.
They take great care of my dogs. Ive never had trouble scheduling an appointment, I feel like the vets take their time to listen and answer my questions, and they are very gentle and reassuring with my dogs. Recently, one of the dogs had some stomach trouble and they managed to schedule me for the same day that I called. Its a clean, friendly office and I highly recommend them.
Had a great experience with all of the staff! Everyone is so friendly! It is a very clean and nice center. When I called to make an appointment and discuss my puppy’s symptoms, they reviewed with me the treatment plan over the phone which gave me peace of mind until our appointment later that day. They took us back on time, and spent an hour with us, answering all of my questions. Dr. Hommel was wonderful! Very caring, knowledgeable, and thorough! The next day, the office called to check on my puppy! I am so glad I found such a great place!
Right from the beginning when I called as a new patient to schedule an appointment for my cat, I felt I was putting my furry boy in good hands, and my partner and I were not let down! They took excellent care of my cat, and sure enough a few days after his visit he is back to his normal self and I know who to turn to should he need anything from emergency care to a regular checkup. Highly recommend!!!
We are very excited about Art Museum Vet Center. Our dog, Josie is almost 8 years old and recently developed issues resulting in extreme weight loss. Our previous vet did extensive testing with no viable results and recommended handing her off to VSEC. There was no concern for her failing health. We took her to Dr. Hope Coleman on Wednesday. The difference is that there is a solid plan for her treatment and great follow up on every level.Pets are family. The level of care as well as compassion for them is what differentiates this center. We highly recommend Art Museum Vet Center!
Telly doesnt LOVE going to the dogtor but she is in great hands here. We became new patients with a mix of IMHA/ old lady dog and crazy UTI symptoms early in the pandemic and I couldnt have asked for a better team to take care of my wife. Everyone is so kind and loving and understanding (or at least extremely patient) and we love them so much!!!
I normally go to the Northern Liberties location owned by the same company. Both are phenomenal. This Art Museum location took my puppy in for an appointment because we needed one quickly. They were very professional, responsive, and informative through the whole process. I truly love this company and my puppy seems to love them too! She’s never nervous or upset when arriving or seeing us again at pickup. And is even known to give them kisses.
We took our puppy to her first vet appointment here mid quarantine so it was curbside drop off pick up. I was a little nervous about that but once we were met by a lovely staff member I was at ease. The vet called me and spent 40 minutes explaining my pets care and answering all of my questions. Everything went really smoothly considering the restrictions and I’m going to continue to bring my dog here in the future.
Dr. Coleman is the absolute best veterinarian I have ever brought a pet to! I have even worked for veterinarians and she is still the best. Her bedside manner is on point and you can tell she genuinely cares about you and pet. My dog Walter has needed a lot of medical care over the past few years and she has never pushed unnecessary treatments on me to get for him. Despite Walter always having to go to the vet he is always SO happy to go into AMVC and goes crazy (excited) when Dr. Coleman comes into the room. All of the staff is also wonderful and seem genuinely love working there!
Just brought my dog to this brand new vet office in Fairmount and had a great experience. We came in with a laundry list of things to discuss from medical through behavioral concerns, and the vet and her staff gave us quite a bit of their time and attention. I feel like we got great advice from concerned, smart, empathetic people who seemed to instantly love my dog. They are definitely our new vet.
New to Philly and this clinic welcomed me and my 14 year Siamese right in for a wellness visit. Everything was clean, new, and bright. They scanned in his paper medical records without a hitch, I was patiently listened to, all the vet techs were very loving toward my cat who is a very vocal traveler. Dr. Coleman answered all my questions at length and in detail, and spent lots of time getting to know us even though we were their last patient of the day! I feel like my baby is going to be in good hands.
Our visit was exceptional! Staff and Dr. Coleman are super friendly and most importantly, very knowledgeable. We were given detailed information regarding our pups exam and she was handled with care! I really like this place! This will be our pets primary care provider from here on out! 😊
I am very happy that Art Museum Vet Center is close to where I live so that I can go to it with my puppy Ruby for all her checkups and needs. I love it — couldn’t be happier with everyone I have met there. Thoughtful, considerate, helpful, and professional. My puppy loves going there too, and they love her. So Art Museum Vets will be a very positive part of our lives into the future!
Can’t say enough. Left a vet who had been treating our dog for many years. Wedidn’t know what we were missing! Patiently answers your questions with time, thought and expertise. Sweet, knowledgeable, extremely informative, personable vet who makes you feel like you have the best pet in the world. We feel as though we found the best vet in the world. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Dr. Hope is amazing. Last year we had a bottle baby that was sick and I can’t even explain the level of care she gave, making a difficult time a lot easier. We now have her as the primary vet for our two kitties and she is truly one of a kind- so caring, thorough, and attentive. She clearly loves what she does and we’re so lucky to have found her. The new location is also very nice and clean, and the staff is great as well. If you’re looking for a vet, look no further. This is your place!!
Amazing first appointment for our puppy. All staff was so welcoming, helpful and took the time to know and examine the puppy. It could not have gone any better. Thank you for answering all questions and we are happy to be part of such caring facility. Dr. Coleman and Meghan did not rush us at all and gave us tips as first-time pet owner.
Not only did they get me in the same day (evening slot), they sent me a text reminder and Tianna even called the following day to see how my pup was doing. They were VERY affordable, did not try to throw in any surprise expenses and made suggestions about other injections I may need without being pushy. The doctor and Tech were very informative and even gave me some literature to bring home with me. They took the extra time to make my Sheppard feel comfortable with them. Staff was friendly, place was clean and easy to get to!
Weve been taking our dog here for years for routine care. Our dog recently had an issue that required him to see several different vets in a short amount of time. Dr. Coleman took a significant amount of time to explain in great detail what caused our dogs issue, how to manage it, provided us with reading material, and reached out promptly to solve a problem that came up.Thank you for your devotion to your patients, and your patients (human) parents!
Ive been bringing my dog here for a year now, and all of the staff are so friendly and clearly care about their patients! They have pandemic protocols in place- I handed my doggo off outside and spoke to the vet and completed payment over the phone. Im very happy with the care that my dog receives here!
I love this new vet in Fairmount! It’s so convenient to be able to walk there, and everyone there is so nice. The vet has always taken the time to speak with me about any concerns I have, including prescribing anti-anxiety meds for my pup which has really helped her! I had heard bad things about the other vets in the area so I never checked them out, and I used to have to drive to Northern Liberties anytime my dog had an appointment. I like the Art Museum Vet Center so much better - it’s always easy to get an appointment, they remind me by email of my dog’s upcoming vaccinations, and everything is very clean and modern in there. The sweet staff and vets are the cherry on top!
As a first time Pet owner I was so nervous picking a vet and being a first time puppy owner! The Vet techs and Vets have made me feel so comfortable and reassured. They care for my puppy like their own and deal with her crazy frenchie noises and drama and laugh about it. Everyone who works here is so passionate about their jobs I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else! They are always upfront about prices and always give me an idea of what the course of treatment/shot schedule will be like. Thank you guys so much for caring for my Stella!
This vet is hands down the best vet in Fairmount, if not the entire city. The staff is amazing- from the front desk who answers my daily calls and questions to the vets who deal with my extremely anxious dog on a quite frequent basis. No matter what the issue, they make sure they are able to get my dog in and ensure she is treated properly and effectively. Both Dr. Coleman and Dr. Hommel are so incredibly compassionate and wonderful to deal with. They answer your questions and go above and beyond to ensure the dogs are healthy, even after the appointment. All I can say is I could not possibly go anywhere else because I know my dog would not be in as good of hands as she is here. Thank you guys!
My neighbor recommended this practice for my new cat - who’s a pretty anxious kitty. Even in COVID-19 times, the handoff, chat with the vet, and payment were seamless. The appointment took 30 mins for a checkup, shots & nail trim. The doctor called to ask more questions, let me know how my kitty was managing during the exam, how to support her right after the appt & next steps with her meds and flea prevention.I paid just under $150 for everything mentioned above plus medication - which I found very reasonable. Especially since kitty won’t need to go for another year. The practice is also a short walk from my apartment.Highly recommended!
We took our two cats here for the first time last week. We had never experienced a vet spending so much time examining our cats and asking us about any issues we had observed at home. We are happy to have found a vet who conducts thorough examinations of our pets and is willing to listen patiently to our concerns. The staff at this location are knowledgeable and kind. After having an unpleasant experience at the Cat Doctor in Fairmount, we are grateful to have found a clinic in our neighborhood that we like and trust.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Convenient parking, clean and welcoming facility, friendly staff. We were seen promptly, doctor and assistants were kind and skillful, and our concerns and questions were fully resolved. Best part was the bill! I was very pleasantly surprised at the reasonable charges. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back for any veterinary needs.
Im fairly new to Philadelphia and needed to find a new vet. Neighbors told me they liked the Northern Liberties Vet and when I saw that Art Museum Vet is associated with them, I decided to go. Its also close to my place/within walking distance, so that was very helpful. Ive only been twice to the vet (general check-up and an UTI issue with my dog). Both times, my Harry was treated by Dr. Coleman, who is very responsive, thorough, and friendly. Thanks!
They are absolutely awesome! Super friendly, professional, and great with your pet. My pittie Aggie loves Dr. Hope and the techs! First vet center of three that she is happy to visit - even for shots :) Plus, they do a great job of providing documentation for your pet insurance provider.
We have now been to the Art Museum Veterinary Center twice and we love it! Our dog is usually extremely nervous at the vet, but they have some techniques that they use including sitting on the floor with the dog while talking to you instead of leaving the dog on the exam table and standing over them. This really puts my dog at ease. They have also called us to follow up and check on how our dog is doing after an appointment which is really awesome. Highly recommend!
This vet center is amazing, they have helped my animal and I so much and I wouldnt go anywhere else! Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable, and the fees are reasonable (though everyone should still get pet insurance just in case - I know its saved me a few times). Highly recommend - this location has a sister location in Northern Liberties and you can schedule an appointment at either one but see the same set of veterinarians/vet techs.
All of the staff is incredibly nice. The best vet I’ve used for my 3 year old dog. They always spend a lot of time with me when I visit. I also had to fly with him recently and needed a form filled out for the airline. I gave it to them last minute and they accommodated the request very quickly.
We recently moved into the area with our 15 year old cat. We found this practice using other reviews. In the last two weeks we have been to the practice 3-4 times. Each time we are extremely pleased with the service. Compassion and competence are the two words that come to mind. I cant say enough about this practice and would highly recommend it to any pet lover.
We just moved here. In Philadelphia and found an affordable gentle and caring vet for our dog, we were very impressed by the attention and care that each one took to make our dog comfortable and for that wed recommend them to anyone. Thank you guys for the awesome work and services.
I chose this place because it was only half a mile away from were i lived and i could just walk there, but i will be staying with this vet because of how great the service is there. they took amazing care of my kitten, and were very generous with their time and answered all my many paranoid pet owner questions.its also super affordable
Of about ten vets I vetted, Art Museum was the most responsive and genuinely seemed to care about the well-being of my furson. They examined him thoroughly and the dr. spoke with me at length to help me understand how he was doing from nose to tail. They were patient and kind with us and never tried to upsell any unnecessary product or procedure-- Ive found that that is rare during my travels. Super grateful to have found them.
The staff at Art Museum Vet Center was so kind, accommodating and knowledgeable. As a first time pet mom I had a LOT of questions. They answered everything and made sure I understood and they did not dismiss even the smallest questions. The facility was clean and modern and we did not have to wait an excessive amount of time to be seen.
Always efficient and caring service at this local vet. Plus, they have up to date systems that allow for easy communication. Both the medical professionals and the front desk are service-oriented and quickly solve problems. Also, great service making appointments and answering questions over the phone.
They really take care of my baby puppy Lexi. Im so glad we found Art Museum Vet. Anytime we need to bring in Lexi they are always willing to accommodate us. The staff is amazingly friendly and the wait is no wait. The Vet is extremely clean and Lexi and I are so happy. Wish I could give 10 Stars!
From the Techs to the Vet - everyone was so good to my baby when he wasnt feeling his best even when he started to get a little feisty during exam. Everyone was very knowledgeable and walked me through all options with recommendations on treatment. Great experience for a not so great reason to visit.
My boyfriend and I are first time cat owners and they helped us feel welcome and comfortable. We adopted our kitten from the shelter and they helped us get him healthy again. Not insanely expensive and honestly the nicest people! I think we’ve found our vet for our kitten ! ❤️
I have two adult cats that I brought to Art Museum Veterinary Center for the first time this week, and I am so glad to have taken them here. The entire staff, and Dr. Nicholle Hommel, are WONDERFUL, super professional and very sweet and kind, which is a big deal for cats like mine. One of them is kind of shy but generally well-behaved, and the other can be really vicious when she feels threatened. And what animal doesnt feel threatened at the vet? Yet they were able to get through their examinations without too much of an event at all - they got their vaccinations, physical examinations and teeth checked. The second cat is squirmy as hell in addition to being aggressive and loud, so when I bring her for her follow-up (to get a broken tooth extracted) Im going to give her a mild sedative, which I have been asking vets to give this little monster to calm her down FOR YEARS, and finally Ive found a vet staff that gets it. My last vet actually told me not to bring the monster cat back again unless she was actually sick, shes that bad (or was the other vet just not very good?) It counts for a lot when you have the compassion component in addition to the professional medical skills. Especially when you have older cats like mine (one is 8, the other is 12), you want professionals who can deal with behavioral issues. The veterinary center is very clean and well equipped, and a coffee Keurig is present in the front room for any pet owners who need even more of a jolt than the franticness of their pets might be providing. Its a huge relief to find a vet (which I learned about from a friends recommendation) thats so reliable, compassionate and skillful.
Staff was super nice, able to get me in quickly when my dog was sick. The facility was super clean. Easy to get to in the Fairmont area. Parking was tricky so walk if you can. They explained everything I needed to do, printed explanations on all the meds and followed up a couple days later to see how we were doing. Definitely going back.
We cannot say enough good things about Art Museum Veterinary Center, and Dr. Hommel in particular. Our male cat was having some litter issues which we assumed were behavioral, but based on the intake I provided over the phone the vets flagged that it might be urinary blockage, suggesting he came in right away because of how serious that can be. They were correct, and as a result were able to intervene immediately. Our female cat has also gotten great care here. Dr. Hommel recommended a simple herbal supplement which has improved her behavior dramatically. We picked Art Museum Veterinary for the convenience because they are in the neighborhood, but we will stay with them as long as we live in Philadelphia. Thank you!
I took my 3 month old new puppy, Archie, here for his booster shots and first check up and it was a great experience. Everyone was excited to see us and the puppy when we walked in. I was immediately greeted and given the paperwork I needed to fill out and within 10 minutes of my arrival was in the exam room with the nurse Britney (sorry if I spelled this incorrectly!). She was fantastic. She made the puppy very comfortable while we chatted about general health information and gave us all the information we needed to know about his vaccination schedule and the purpose of each. She then busted out the treats and got to work. She clipped his nails, cleaned out his ears, took his temperature (or attempted to haha), brushed his teeth and weighed him. Then Dr. Pirok came in and greeted the puppy and began her exam. Explained everything she was doing and made sure the puppy was as comfortable as he could be. He took his shot like a champ and we were all finished. We chatted for a bit with Dr. Pirok about socialization and what food we should feed him for a healthy diet as well as insurance and then we were done! The Dr. lead us out to reception where Juliet (I apologize again if that was incorrect haha) rang us up, gave us our bag of follow up medications and scheduled our next visit.Over all it was an excellent experience for a first time puppy owner who had heard horror stories of taking your dog to the vet for the first time. Archie will definitely be returning for his continued care to this location.Thank you!
This is an excellent center - just like the Northern Liberties location. The service is top notch, and I appreciate that they are very responsive to questions over email and consulations. I will be traveling abroad soon with my small dog and the vet spent a lot of time talking with me about how to make the journey a more pleasant experience for my little boo.
Brought my 2 cats in for blood work and paper work before international travel. The staff was awesome, the nurses were able to treat both the angry aggressive cat and the scared cat and were very gentle and proffessional. Dr Pirok was great, super proffessional, efficient and nice. Im very glad I chose them for the process. t
I adopted two boston terriers a bit over a year ago, one of which showed early signs of severe allergies and eventually was covered with sores. I tried a number of vets who gave similar and vague remedies and none of them worked very efficiently or for very long. When I saw that there was a new vet in my neighborhood that might keep me from having to continually drive cross town to south philly, i gave them a try and I was so glad i did. My new vet gave me a very long and detailed idea of what I was up against and a protocol to begin, which gave my little guy relief and we have managed to keep the situation under control. This is a neighborhood gem!
Traveling through Philly with my 17 year old cockapoo suffering from an ear infection. Found AMVC online and discovered that their 5 star rating was justly earned. Best Vet visit ever. Warm, friendly, professional, attentive, sincere, caring, efficient, knowledgeable, effective, and of equal importance: the place was SPOTLESS! Doubt my old guy will be alive for a return to Philadelphia but, if he is, well make this Vet our first stop. Thank you for the great experience!!!

2022-01-18We went there for my dogs 1-year check and 1-year vaccines. For me, it was not a big deal because my puppy is healthy, and I didnt have any questions. But they made it look like something significant. We talked about his ears, food, heartworm medications, his nails, etc., and they called me the next day to check up on him! That was very cute because I didnt expect much attention for a healthy 1-year check. Thanks, guys! This makes us feel that we are at the correct place.

2021-11-03Dr. Coleman and the staff at Art Museum Veterinary Center are amazing! They truly care about their patients and are the most thorough vet I have ever been to. They also explain everything to you during your visit and make sure all of your questions are answered. You never feel like you are being rushed or dismissed. I will never use another vet!

2022-02-10We’ve just scheduled an appointment with AMVC. So far so good!Update: OMG AMVC is wonderful! Completely wonderful! My pups have been to literally the top rated vets in Malvern, Miami Beach, Avalon and the Lehigh Valley. Trust me… you should bring your furbabies here!

2021-10-27They made my dog Luigi feel so comfortable. I was shocked at how he was acting. The last couple of times at our other vet he was very on edge. If you live in or about the art museum area and have a pet this is the vet choice you should make. Thanks again for making not only Luigi’s first experience with you great but also mine. 🐶🐶💜💜

2022-03-28The staff at Art Museum Vet (they partner with Northern Liberties Vet also) are amazing. My Dotty was a patient many times in the last couple years and they took the best care of her, gave me affordable options, and truly care about ALL their patients. Dr. Coleman goes out of her way to make sure your pet will get the best possible care.

2022-02-10We take our little pooch there and could not be happier. They are always accommodating and responsive, flexible and always kind. They have seen our dog last minute when something urgent comes up, and always manage to fit her in, and everyone that works there is very kind. I couldnt recommend highly enough.

2021-10-08Hands down the best Veterinarian office that I have ever been to. From the front desk staff, to the Vet Techs, to the actual doctors themselves, everyone there is extremely kind, helpful, and communicate extremely well.I have two dogs, one of which has extreme anxiety which makes it hard to handle him in new environments. The vet techs there were patient and extremely helpful in getting him through this years vaccine process along with many helpful suggestions on how we might make the process easier going forward too.The office is extremely clean, updated, well lit, organized, and welcoming. Id recommend this vet over and over again to anyone I know with animals.

2022-01-13Continued hats off to this wonderful practice. Nurse Emily called 90 mins before our visit and asked detailed “intake “ questions. Dr Nicolle Hommel -knowledgeable , caring, and approaches treatments with common sense and facts. Kennedy at the front desk always expedites our visit.Incredibly well trained, knowledgeable, professional, timely, attentive, responsive staff providing competitively priced services in a great facility. Best vet ever!

2021-10-16Very comprehensive! I was allowed in the office for the first time since covid (but they still have great covid protocols too). We spoke to a nurse first and she asked really important questions and gave good advice. The vet was also very kind and they were both so sweet to my pup while he got vaccines, gland expression, and bloodwork. My dog is pretty anxious and the nurse pet him/gave him love for the scarier stuff. I felt like they really care about their patients. To me, that level of care is always worth the price. I’d definitely recommend.
