Aspen Dental in other cities:
An unbelievably awful experience! Beware of hidden charges and always check your bill. I have been there 4 times total which includes the initial evaluation- I have had a DIFFERENT dentist AND hygenist at each appointment. Arrived today for a scheduled filling only to end up with a half drilled tooth and a haphazard temporary filling. Now I am told that I am in the position to get a crown and an endodontist consult that I was not prepared or budgeted for. By the way, their endodontist is out of the country for a month. Huh? Had concerns that were placed on deaf and could care less ears of Jenna and Wendy the office manager. They do not care about resolving any issue. They do not care about respecting you. They do not care that they take your money. Do not go to this office. There is a reason why it has a low rating!
My sister currently went to Chambersburg office the experience was horrible. She went to get some teeth pulled out, she has type one diabetic all her teeth needed to come out. Nobody gave her information nobody helped out with financial aid. While the surgeon was pulling out her teeth my sister still felt the pain and he did nothing didn’t ask her how she was feeling or if she still felt any pain and continued with the process. They sent her home with a packet of papers. If you’re going to work on patience it be nice to be commutative with the patient so they know what to do or not what to do. The medication that they were supposed to call and was not called it when they got home they called the office and they forgot to call in her prescription she waited three hours to get her pain meds this office is ridiculous .
Clean, friendly staff, gentle hygienist and dentist. Was blessed then could get me in for a checkup and grateful the Pray with me. Both hygienist and dentist did a great job in using the UV ray Velscope in locating a suspicious lesion in my throat so I can get it biopsied early. Good there was a payment plan available to assist my budget.
I have gone to Aspen dental on three different occasions and during this terrible experience I have been misled multiple times by the unbelievably unprofessional and lack of ability to run their business properly. When you go in and receive a quote for services rendered you can never count on it because the next time youWalk through their door the amount increases exponentially. There are also very heavy-handed and lack empathy to an extreme find a more personable dentistry who is not a corporate setting.
I would like to mention that both of my doctors kept me abreast of everything that was going on. They had to extract one of my implants due to an infection and deterioration from my Jaw bone. The staff was also very professional. I love their can-do attitude. I would refer them to anybody. I just wish I could’ve got a 10% off my bill due to my 20 years of military in the United States Marine Corps. I thought $610 was a lot for an extraction, but I felt I was in good hands. But I want to thank everybody for treating me with the upmost respect.
I was looking for a dentist to take a new patient AND take my insurance. I found both in Aspen. I also have a very small mouth and was worried about x-rays but there equipment was new and the girl knew what she was doing, not one gag from the x-rays. Loved my experience. Will be going back again.
Amanda, the Receptionist, greeted me with a friendly hello and then checked me in for my appointment in a very efficient manner. I was taken back to my appointment minutes later where Katie, my Hygienist, greeted me again! Katie is excellent at her job!! She is so gentle and yet really cleans my teeth soooo well!!!! She is also very complimentary about my personal oral care but is also very generous with suggestions to help me do better!!! The doctor I have been seeing is also very friendly and very efficient!! I truly love ASPEN!!!! Thank you for taking such great care of me!!!!
Father went there to have his tooth extracted. He is now in terrible pain and they gave him nothing. They finally gave him the lowest dose of T3 an OTC medicine from Canada. Shocker, it didnt work and hes been up for days. Now its been hours waiting for a pain medicine of more Canadian OTC pain meds (codeine) while I have to watch him in pain. Least the dentist got his lunch instead of taking 5 minutes to send the RX to the pharmacy like he couldnt do properly the first time.So if youre a sadist and like pain this is your place. Anyone else go someplace else where they can give you proper pain management. Also I dont need the automated canned response to talk to your customer satisfaction team, so you can not bother there.I just moved to the area and I sure as heck wont go here now and am going to help him find another dentist.
I had dental surgery under anesthesia and before I knew it I was done. The office is so well run and excellent in all areas. The oral surgeon was very professional but personable too. Very gentle and explained everything. So dont be anxious, they take very good care of you. I had minimal discomfort yesterday after anesthesia wore off. Only had to take total 2 pain pills.Thank you Dr and Aspen staff.
Wish I had read the reviews prior to visiting Aspen Dental. The office was clean, the personal were very friendly, however, the dentist was just the opposite. She was in the room less than 3 minutes, but charged my insurance $136.00 for a implant maintenance procedure. She did not touch me at all. I can not recommend this practice to anyone. I gave it a two simply since they employees were co courteous. In addition to the above charge, of which I had to pay $24 over what my insurance paid. Plus, I paid an additional $65 for an implant cleaning before I left. I will avoid this dentist. I have only 4 implants.
Ive been a client since this location opened. At first I thought it was the state of art facility with the latest dental tools. Now, I have seen staff overturned repeatedly, the floor needs sweeping, mopping and cobwebs removed. Its a middle age caucasian lady that with shoulder blonde hair, I didnt like the way she spoke to me or yelled over the main receptionist desk because I wasnt understanding what was being said about my bill. Some of the staff seem a bit rough was not the original crew.
Let me start by saying that everyone acted in a professional manner, which was appreciated and thats the only reason why I left 2 stars. However, when I scheduled the appointment I was told it would be a free exam/x-ray and a cleaning that would cost me $76 since I was a first-time patient. I thought that was great so I was happy to schedule it.After an extremely long wait in both the waiting room and the patient room where you see the dentist, she finally came in, looked at my x-rays, asked me a few questions, told me I have a cavity starting, looked in my mouth for all but 30 seconds, told me to floss more and that was that. She shuffled me into another waiting area to wait for a receptionist. I was like, wait a minute my teeth werent even touched. This is a dental office, right? The receptionist then told me the person I scheduled my appointment with quoted me incorrectly and that isnt the way things work there. That wed have to schedule another appointment to do the other things. I asked what I owed for that day, she said nothing and I thanked her and left. Needless to say, unless all other dental offices are closed, I dont think Ill be going back to them. What a crock and a complete waste of time!
Tell me how three people in a row were misinformed and accommodated the two but not my fiance. He was told to come in at 8am to get the extraction done. Drove over hour to get there and was not helped. Asked to speak to office manager and she left us standing in waiting room for over half hour. Beyond unprofessional and will not recommend this place at all!!!!! We left with him in pain and not able to eat. Zero stars
Please find some where else to go. I had an infection at the gum line which required me to have to a tooth pulled. They made me wait three weeks and had to do two rounds of antibiotics. The day of the appointment there was still some significant pain and swelling in that area. Well they pulled the tooth out my mouth after some difficulty extracting it and tell me we’ll rotate between Tylenol and ibuprofen. I’ve been rotating both those pain medications for THREE WEEKS now due to the pain and swelling with no relief. As a nurse I know ibuprofen is a NOT a long term pain medication. So for me to have been taking it for damn near a month now is not doing my kidneys no good. The pain and swelling from the infection will hopefully subside but now I’m in pain from the freaking extraction.
Aspen in Chambersburg is AMAZING! As a patient who struggles with extreme dental anxiety, they made both my wisdom teeth extractions & my root canal experience as painless as possible and provided so much encouragement!!! All of the staff has been extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They made multiple accommodations for me in order to make my experience the best it could be for me. I cannot recommend them enough!!!
I want to be sure and say right off that the dentist and hygienists were as gentle, talented and nice as Ive ever experienced anywhere. They are the reason Im giving two stars and not one. The main reason for this poor review is because the administration of this place is a circus. My family and I were with this office for about two years. For that entire time it was practically impossible to reschedule a routine appointment and not have it be five to six months down the road in most cases. For this entire two+ years I was told every time they were hiring more hygienists soon and things would get better right away. That didnt happen. In fact, it got gradually worse over the time we were there. My main trouble however, was always with billing. If they werent constantly trying to bill me in advance for a cavity procedure that had to be scheduled two months down the road, then they were billing me the wrong amount for routine visits. If they werent accidentally ordering an extra set of bitewings at every 6 month visit (which I had to pay out of pocket for) then they were accidentally trying to give me the fluoride treatment that I clearly declined every single time. I finally had enough and we moved to a local independent practice that for the last 6 months or so has been a dream in comparison. I honestly got to the point that I was pretty sure nobody at the front desk even listened to a thing I said when they checked me or my kids in for a visit. So frustrating. If any of these problems matter to you, I encourage you to seek service somewhere else. Cheers!
My appt was at 11:30 am and didnt get called to come back untill 12:27 pm. made eye contact with my dentist once . very in personable Her and the assistances stood behind me at a computer screen speaking about me or speaking to me from behind me while I was placed in a chair to stare out the window. she spent a total of 10 minutes looking at my teeth before telling me that I could see the receptionist and she would give me all the details. I felt very uncomfortable with everything the entire time. And not once did i receive an apology for wait or an explanation. My dentist never even introduced herself. I wont be going back not only because of how they made me feel but the price of the services are outrages !
Was expecting filling replacement, which is why I called, but received new patient xrays and exam. I was not a new patient, and did not receive a new filling. Filling to be done 4 weeks later. However a cleaning was scheduled for Monday.Have been happy with service in previous visits but confused and disappointed by this last visit.
Terrible service. Scheduled appointment to have stain cleaning done. They rescheduled it at least once without explaining the reason. Came to the office eventually, spent 1.5 hr there, they did bunch of X-rays, although I told them I just got them done, did physical exam. And eventually told me that hygienist is extremely busy and would not be able to do cleaning today. Their rationale was that teeth-cleaning was a two-visit procedure! Be aware of that! I have teeth-cleaning done twice a year for thirty years and have never heard of that. Nobody even informed me of that while scheduling on the phone. Unbelievable. No appreciation of client’s time at all!
They would not take my Insurance to begin with went to appt and staff was very friendly. They did give me an antibiotic to help with the issue I was having. I left and did get a discount plan, I called back on Tues. and talked to someone to see if they would redo the est. with the discount plan I picked up. Now a week later I have not received a call back. I have called them, to see if they have gotten this est. done. I am told that the customers coming for appt. are their priority and I will have to wait till they get a moment. I called again today and again got a run around. Told we will have to call you back. I am not sure if the treatment in the office overrides the treatment you receive after you leave the office. ??????
WORST money grubbing excuse for dental care I have ever experienced. Tried to schedule a cleaning, but because it was more than six months since I was last seen, I have to have an evaluation first. The worst part is I tried to schedule a cleaning but they told me it was more than 6 months out. I cant begin to express here how horrible I think this place is. I actually dropped my insurance because this is the only place my insurance covers.
I agree totally with the last review. I was 30 minutes late being called for my appointment. Then they took 19 X-rays. When I made the appointment they stated I would have a consultation - nothing about so many x-rays. One hour into the appointment they told me I would need to wait to talk to an office manager to outline my plan. Due to the fact that I had been there for one hour already, I asked if they could call me with the plan or email to me. One week later I have not heard from the office even after calling and complaining. Im looking for another dentist right away.
I have not taken care of my teeth over the years. Katelyn did a wonderful job at all three of my visits. She told me what I need to be doing without being condescending, and was always concerned with my comfort level. Appointments were always right on time, I did not have to wait in waiting room more than a few minutes. I am very pleased with Katelyn and Aspen Dental.
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with anything ever. Broke half my tooth off, I decided to go with aspen due to the fact they accept emergencies. Wasted about 4 hours of my life until they finally saw me and took two minutes looking at my mouth and said “wait ten to 14 days to see how it feels”. Needless to say I went to my old dentist and he fixed it right away. This place has no clue in hell what their doing or talking about.
Went to them for a broken front tooth. My dental insurance didnt cover it so they talk me into a 29.99% credit card knowing that I didnt have a job or much income and made me do unnecessary treatments before they fixed my real problem. Taking advantage of my desperate situation. BEWARE!!!
Make sure you can spend half a day for your appointment. My moms appointment was for 8:00 am to be moulded for dentures we arrived 15 min before app. Its now 10:09 and Shes still not done. I find this unacceptable!!! But...they can only allow you to be 15 minutes past your appointment or you have to reschedule. They apparently do not think their patients time is as important as theirs.
Arrived, was taken to a room, number with needle where they said be back in a couple min.... 25 min later they came back in!!!! I had the tooth extracted, they never gave me ANY direction as far as swelling, bleeding, pain, how long it would last.. Nothing!! Then had the nerve to tell me the plaque on some of my teeth was atrocious. How rude!!! Not nice ppl, just out for money!!!!!
Not happy at all. I have been over charged not once but twice. Last visit was a Cleaning which my insurance covers 100% and I was charged for it. I had two teeth extracted and was charged 169.00 when I got my statement from Delta dental it said cost paid was 26.00. Not only that they said my fillings would not be covered under my insurance and I would pay 270 for one filling. Delta told me no I would only pay 56 for that filling Because they cover 80%.. I will not be going back to this place!
The entire staff was very friendly! The dentist took her time to explain everything being done and the future treatment plan instead of just rushing through to the next patient. Only complaint was I had to wait 25 minutes after I was done with the dentist to see the manager to get a copy of my treatment plan and schedule next appointment.
Great experience. I did not go to the dentist for a very long time due to fear from previous offices I had been to. I finally decided to try Aspen Dental Chambersburg because they were in network with my insurance and close to my work. Everyone was incredibly nice. I had to have a bit of work done and they were super quick to get me scheduled, even had some appointments same day as I a called in. Office manager was great and met with me at first visit to discuss payment options and helped me to set up a payment plan through DentalFirst credit. Would 100% recommend to anyone!
My name is Makenson Alexander, I went to Aspen Dental and they made me sign for a service but they didn’t give me any service, and when I came back later they cancel the appointment and they said it was because of the pandemic. They still charged me $1,800 and I didn’t get any service from them and they said I still owe them more money. The lady I was talking to was so rude she didn’t even listen to me when I talked to her and kept hanging up the phone when I called her. I don’t know why they are charging for things they never even did, The last time I went to this place was July and I haven’t gotten any service from them, since then till now. They stole my money and are demanding for more, this is literally the worst place to go to and I would recommend never to come here, because the “hospitality” they showed me was horrendous.
I was a walk in patient and the staff was very welcoming. They didnt make me feel as if it was a problem to see me at all. Everyone was very professional and the facility is very clean and bright. I dont have insurance but James was very patient and helpful in explaining my options. I would definitely recommend Aspen Dental to all my family and friends !
I waited a very long time to be seen. I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed... but was not seen for at least 35 minutes. They did apologize and said all of the dentists were ironically running late that morning. When I finally was seen, the dentist himself was nice as well as his assistant. They stated the X-ray machine was broken so they couldn’t get the X-rays they needed. At the end of the appointment I was told to sit in a room and wait for the manager to come schedule my next appointment. After waiting for a while a girl told me that I could either continue to wait for an indefinite amount of time or the manager could email me to follow up. It’s been 3 days and I still haven’t heard back on the follow up. I had a feeling this is how it would be with a chain dentist office so I can’t say I am surprised.
I was very disappointed with this place. I scheduled a new patient appointment mistakenly thinking that it would include a teeth cleaning, as that was the reason I was making the appointment in the first place. It did not. I was then told I would have to wait two months for the cleaning, so I scheduled another appointment two months later. The week of the second appartment I received a call from Aspen telling me that the hygienist was on maternity leave and I would have to wait another three months to get a cleaning. I decided to go elsewhere at this point. My new dentist then informed me that because of the way Aspen submitted to my insurance I would have to wait until six months had passed from my orginal appointment to get my cleaning. So overall this place proved to be a massive waste of my time.
Amazing, friendly, professional, polite, and best of all painless! 22 years of fearing going to the dentist, and they understood and helped alleviate the fear. I was SUFFERING and finally went when it got too bad. They had to remove the tooth that was causing the problem. They did it the same day, and made it a pretty painless visit. I’m writing this the day later. I feel amazing. I would recommend them to anybody.
My present dentist no longer accepts my insurance, so I found Aspen was on network to accept. Figure Id give them a try. Made appointment with a specific dentist for checkup and cleaning, arrived 10 minutes early with all paperwork filled out. Thirty minutes later, taken back and had to have 20 x-rays before dentist would see me. Then when dentist comes in (not one appt made with), after quick examine I am told of all the work I need done. It doesnt all need done today, but I should have it done soon. I was them taken out to schedule my cleaning which is why I was there. They tried to have me get crowns and other unnecessary work done. Seems as though its my money is there concern, not my mouth. If they were the cleaning wouldve been done!!!! Do not go here unless you need dentures, thats posted everywhere in the office and rooms. Already telling everyone I know the long version and recommend staying away
Haven’t even gotten a chance to see the dentist because we can’t get passed the office staff on the phone. Spoke with multiple staff members in the front including the manager, who was no help at all, about concerns for my mother coming into the office and insurance questions. The only one who seems to have a clue is a Kayla who has been very upfront and proactive with us, thank you and I wish we had spoken to you initially. Unfortunately we will not be seeking treatment here at this office or any other Aspen for that matter.
1st dental office in our area that does not smell like hospital and staff was not pushy towards service. Polite and listening. However tried to make a general cleaning appointment today by phone and Jalica girl was very rude by telling me their hygienist is booked until June next year and she can not see my files she does not know why her computer is glitchy... just wow really? 1st impression was good but than you get someone on the line like this...and you just like why am I even bothering
Went yesterday to have my tooth looked at because I can tell it needs pulled. Seriously awful receptionist and consultation person. They spoke down to me and other customers. One lady wanted to speak to them concerning her finances on the other side of the door due to HIPPA and the receptionist REFUSED! Finally someone else let her speak in the back and the receptionist and consultation person made fun of her. They spoke down to me and filled my paperwork wrong and when I tried to tell her the names on my form were messed up (despite her having my license) she got smart with me and sighing dramatically about it. Definitely won’t be going back. They also charge double for wisdom teeth removal than other offices in the area who have NICER customer service.
Once you get past the pushy first visit to an outrageous amount of money and them potentially running a credit check to give you a loan. The office is very nice, high tech, and the dentist are caring. I declined the 10k in work they wanted me to get a loan for and came back a year later in pain and got a plan made up for about 300 with my insurance.
My tooth was in real pain and they just said to wait 10-14 days to see how it feels. How does that make any sense for me to be in pain and just say to keep that pain in my mouth for 2 weeks. How would I eat, my mouth would be in too much pain to eat, and by the time the 2 weeks would be over I would be very unstable and most likely wouldnt just need to go to a dentist, but a hospital.
Took 3 weeks to get appointment for them to say that I have to schedule another appointment dont have time to pull my teeth after I was assured on phone when making appointment and by dentist I will be having tooth removed. Left then called me to come back in there was a cancellation, took lady an hour of cut ,wiggle, break to get tooth out and had to leave piece of tooth behind up too close to sinuses,I ended up taking pain meds for 10 days after pain was aweful, will not be returning if I dont have to.
First appointment was great!! X-rays throughly taken, teeth I needed pulled were talked about, and the financial plan was explained throughly. The appointment was made to have the teeth needed to be extracted the following morning. Walking into the room right before my eyes 👀, first thing I see are the extraction tools and the shot I am about to receive. Already nervous about what is about to happen, this is not what I want to see!!! I have had many teeth extracted and I feel this was the worst experience ever. I didnt feel comfortable and to top it all off when I was finished and placed back into a sitting position, what should lay before my eyes 👀, are the broken extracted tooth, the other tooth, the bloody gauze, and all the used instruments on a tray beside my chair. No one seemed to come to take them away. They told me they would see me at my next appointment for my cleaning in two weeks. I am really contemplating this, but I have already paid for part of this whole procedure up front. What is going to happen next? Only time will tell 😳
I cannot say enough good things about aspen in Chambersburg! They are the best. I am 43 and never found a dentist that cared or spent the time with me to make me feel comfortable. Aspen has gone above and beyond for me and it is greatly appreciated for what I had to go thru. Love Love them!!!!
Our son was suffering from a cracked tooth and was in very bad pain. Our dentist office was closed and could not get a hold of anyone. He would of had to wait 3 days till our dentist office would of open back up.Called Aspen dental , they took him the very next morning. Since he was new to Aspen Dental his check up was free. People there was very nice and took care of my sons problem . Thank you very much Aspen Dental.
Guess I should have read all these reviews before I started going to aspen dental. I have two daughters, both have had braces and do take fairly good care of their teeth for being teenagers. Low and behold after going here they have the worst teeth ever according to them. My oldest had a cavity repaired that turned into a root canal and now my youngest needs a root canal for the same reason. I will not be returning to aspen dental for anything. Oh and one daughter went to a different location than the other.
First impression walking in and being seen was great, its a nice office and the people are mostly friendly. But not at all personable... Like at all...Other than the assistant that took my xrays she was great. But than the dentist checked me out and made a chart of what I needed done. But didnt tell me any of it.... Just kept reading off abrevations to the assistant....Than after seeing the higenist I was directed to a waiting room for a 15 minuet wait for a finance person to say hey this is your dental plan and heres the price that we need right now to help you.As the dentist didnt give me any detail as to everything I needed I had to ask the finance person details such as how many cavities I am paying for...I feel like thats something the dentist should tell you as shes/he is examining you.....I was also not offered any finance options at all for the almost 4k they were asking for....Over all I feel they are very just for profit and the whole experince was like going thorugh a assembly line...Would not recomend to anyone unless they like impersonal service and dont need any finace options.
First time patient. Moved back to the area. The Dentist that is handling my work is great so far. They break everything down and price very simple. As far as the front staff goes.. well very slow and not very customer service friendly. 1st appt check up @ 245 never got called until 325 (never was told anyone was running late.) left after 4pm.2nd appt. Called to say I would be 10mins. Was told theyd have to reschedule because 10mins late would run into the other patients time. So I got there on time for my 3pm appointment, just to sit there for 20mins.. the Dentist doing the work is all I really care about so for now Ill stay. But time is an issue for me. My last dentist if I had a 245 I was walking back to the chair @ 245 not 30mins later. And if they were running behind I was sent a text or phone call. You wont get that friendly customer service here. All youll get is sign in have a seat.
I received a root canal at the Chamberburg Aspen Dental clinic. The doctor, the assistant and the office staff were great! The dentist was excellent in that she took the time to thoroughly answer my questions and explained everything about my root canal. The procedure was amazingly painless and quick! I love going to Aspen Dental whether in Chambersburg or Altoona because the staff in both places are so cheerful and welcoming.
I was very happy with Aspen Dental until getting a cavity filled. It felt rushed and the job was done incorrectly. I had jaw pain for a week from the numbing needle being inserted 3 times, I could feel both cavities being done because the numbing wasnt done properly, and I couldnt floss my tooth because the cavity was done incorrectly.I finally called and asked to meet with a different doctor only to find out there is only ONE in that office. No wonder it was rushed, and no wonder other reviews say theyre waiting forever. If there is only one doctor for an office that large she is way overworked. I will not come back to the Chambersburg office until they get the staffing needed for the amount of business they have.
I am a new patient with Aspen. When I called the office I was sent to your service center to set up an appointment. When I spoke to the representative I had the impression that I was making an appointment at my local Aspen. This was not the case. Without my knowledge my appointment was sent to North Dakota when I live in south central Pennsylvania. I was not told this information so when I walked into the office, they said I was not in their system at all. The representative on the phone spelled both my first and last name incorrectly and sent my appointment 1500 miles away from my home. I was told by the office that this situation is not uncommon and for first time patients they would be sent hundreds of miles away. The phone system for new patients MUST be changed. I was dangerously close to leaving the office immediately before a doctor would even see me. However even with a short staff, my local Aspen forced me into the schedule because I have an emergency situation. So props to Chambersburg PA Aspen but I would NEVER recommend anyone new to call that system until it is changed.
HORRIBLE experience here!! Went in for my first appointment (wanted a cleaning) and waited 45 minutes just for them to tell me I need my OB to send permission to do X-Rays because Im pregnant. So I wasnt seen that day. I went back in a week later when I got what I needed to do the X-Ray (today). I waited 45 minutes in the front before going back. They took my X-Rays then put me in an exam room where I waited another 25 minutes!!! I was about to leave when the dentist finally came in and looked at my X-Rays and then literally glanced in my mouth. NO CLEANING!!!! I waited that whole time for them to freaking LOOK in my mouth!!! NEVER again. Complete waste of my day off. THANKS.
If I could give this place a 0 star I would. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT let them do work with your teeth without getting a second opinion from another dentist. I just saved myself $2,500 by going to another dentist for a second opinion. Aspen Dental told me all this stuff I needed done with my teeth but when I got a second opinion from another dentist which has a 5 star rating by the way I came to find I really didn’t all that work done that Aspen Dental said I needed done. Save your money and go somewhere else. Trust me. This place will find ways to rip you off.
I was very pleased with my experience at the chambersburg location. They went out of there way to make my experience as painless as possible and didnt waste my time. They were an hour away from my home but was the only office who would do my extractions. I would never recommend the Hagerstown location. They Wasted my time due to there lack of communication between there doctors and staff. In my opinion they are a fly by night cell of aspen dental. I would recommend that the company do a full review of the Hagerstown location.Thank you.
After waiting for an hour in the lobby I finally got to go back and have X-Rays taken and talk to a Dentist about getting dentures. The I was brought to a waiting area to talk to the Office Manager to find out how much it was going to cost. Well as my third hour being there approached I went back to The Receptionist and told her I had to leave. She said ok and some one would contact me with the costs and to get the next appointment set up. Its been a few days now and I still havent heard anything. I guess I may have to go somewhere els.
I didnt have to wait forever to get an appointment. i got my appointment on line. i printed out all my forms and was able to fill them outt at home. everyone was friendly, informative and helpful .i am getting all my work done expediently and incredibly inexpensive. i have already recommended the office to an associate.
I arrived early as requested, I waited over an hour to be seen and watched the receptionist put people on hold while she was visibly NOT BUSY. The explanation of what I needed done was not clearly stated, and the rate they wanted was over $7,000 for two teeth to be fixed, They were running so far behind It was almost 2 hours after my arrival and I had to leave they emailed me my treatment plan as they call it, The treatment plan does not even tell you one thing that they are going to do but it says it is a contract, it has ONLY the Price of what you will owe with some coupon listed I didnt even give them a coupon or anything. Shady business and All out for Profit while trying to make it seem like they are giving you a deal by adding in a coupon that doesnt even exist. NO THANK YOU! I will go anywhere else but never again to Aspen!
Wisdom tooth extraction. 1 top 1 bottom, done perfectly and clean despite the teeth rotting below the gum line, and 1 exploding in my mouth like buckshot, clipping the tech in the glasses. No pain, done right, healed in 3 days, they gave me any pain meds i wanted, cut em out so nice never even needed a tylenol. Paid cash, great price, didnt skimp on the novacaine, even tho i might not come back (ins. wont cover extraction). Thank you guys. Outstanding.
Wait time was very lengthy. Was scheduled for a cleaning and was told they don’t do that on initial appointments. This was my second time going there and was not impressed. Waited in the room for a half hour only to have the doctor spend a whooping 5 minutes with me to tell me to floss more and buy an electric toothbrush and sent me on my way.
Just terrible to put it simply, how can people be so negligent of the well being of a person, I would recommend to go somewhere else because this place is just not it, dont even think about coming here. And I am not saying this without reason, I just dont want to type out all the details of the stupidity they have said to me.
What I have an issue with is the fact that they require a 60% down payment on your bill before they will do anything....Yeah they take payments AFTER you pay the big down payment...Thats the catch..This is why I havent had my teeth taken care of in as long as I have because I didnt have the money for it...It doesnt look like they will be taken care of anytime soon...I went here thinking they would take payments and work with you...In my opinion this place is no different than any other dentist I have been too in this area...I have no health insurance so I pay out of pocket..It wouldnt of been so bad if the down payment was lower & it was maybe 40%...I was denied for the credit care (No surprise there)..So I am right back to square one..
I went to Aspen Dental because their price is a lot cheaper than my current dentist, that should have been a warning sign! Anyway, Aspen told me that I had 3 cavities, so I went back to Chambersburg Dental Associates to get checked by them and I do not have any cavities! Be cautious!
Took my mother in to get a new denture based on the price they said online.... starting at $399....unfortunately this was just a rouse it was a temporary denture and i was billed a lot of extra fees and ended up having to pay over $2,000 for the second denture.. also they duped us and had us sign something in the beginning that locked us in even with insurance this was a ridiculous price...be careful and read what you are signing

2022-04-30Short wait and check in time even though i was a new patient. Staff was very friendly and helpful letting me know what work i needed and scheduling appointments to get it done. Even printed out a detailed list of the work and cost of everything. A lot less hassle here then other dentists i’ve tried in the area.

2022-02-28Terrible patient care. If you want a dentist that cares about your well being, this is not the place. About a week after my spouses cleaning, his tooth became infected and he started having a lot of pain, he tried to contact them, they did not answer the phone, did not return messages, so after just driving there, they told him the soonest they could get him in was a little over 3 weeks. He tried the emergency line listed on the answering machine for Aspen and they told him they couldnt help him and he needed to schedule an appointment with Aspen?! His tooth pain got so bad that a little over a week before the appointment he had to miss a family vacation weekend and go to the emergency room instead due to his face swelling up like a softball. After steroid injections, pain meds, and a CT scan they sent him home saying he had a large pus filled abscess above his tooth. He hasnt been able to sleep or eat right with the pain. I had to miss work to drive him an hour to an emergency clinic today to get this problem resolved. I honestly wouldnt recommend this place to an enemy. No one deserves to have to be treated this way.

2022-06-07Didn’t do well with my 9 year old . His dad suggested several different things to get him to cooperate and the dentist didn’t listen to any of it . Dentist didn’t even attempt to calm him down and ultimately they got nowhere and did no work on his mouth even though his tooth needs pulled due to an infection. I am now attempting to find a dentist that will see him ASAP to get the tooth out because aspen dental couldn’t do their job

2022-07-20I was not told my dentures would take months until after I paid for them and had the impression made. It’s now going on 4 months and I have at least another month to wait because I just had my final impression made yesterday.I do appreciate the extremely pleasant and efficient service from Jenna in the office, she has been exceptional.

2022-06-03Ive scheduled appointments two different times (which by the way I had to wait several months) and its always the same situation, they say we dont have enough dental assistants, we tried to contact you... Ive never received any calls or text messages. Communication is bad, and they always have an excuse. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

2022-03-01If I could give Zero starts I would. I try and give chances after received bad services. The office personal lack complete customer service skills. We are going on 5+ experiences and each one has been a negative experience. Every appointment made has had an issue, being cancelled, rescheduled, work scheduled ended up not being needed, billing issues, cancelled an appointment and not notifying me, rescheduling appointments then cancelling just hours before. Run... Do not make an appointment here. Save yourself the aggravation.

2021-07-23If there is a place that tries to milk as much $ out of you as possible for minor treatment, it has to be Aspen Dental. I had to wait 3 months to even get an appointment here, and when I did it turns out they couldnt do anything for me.I had 2 chipped teeth that only required fillings. I thought they may be able to get them filled the same day, but they couldnt. No big deal, I get it, Ill come back again after you have my x-rays and can treat me. The dentist tells me theyll schedule an appointment to have the fillings. When I go to check out they tell me they wont do the fillings unless I have to cleaning treatments prior to the fillings because its mandatory. What?! You want me to have 2 cleanings before fixing teeth that have been bothering for the past 3 months while waiting to get in here? And youll have to schedule those cleanings to begin in over a month?Ive never heard of mandatory cleanings in order to fix a tooth. Basically what could have been handled in 1 or 2 trips to the dentist was going to be 4 and take half a year. Aspen doesnt care about helping their patients, theyre in it to squeeze as much $ out of the patient as possible. No thanks, Ill take my business elsewhere.

2022-05-21Now that Covid is some what over, checking in was easy. Staff was extremely friendly.I had to wait two months for my appointment and now the dentist says the tooth needs to be pulled (possible root canal and cap but he really didnt suggest that route - which is the way I am going to go). But to get that done could take up to 6 weeks or more. Then to filled the tooth next to it, was a nine month wait.I left the dentist office with a hole in my tooth....Yes, friendly - but friendliness doesnt cover the fact that nothing was done to help my toothache.
