Delivery always fast, and fresh food. Never have a problem with them.
I used to go here every week because their poke is really good for the price, however I moved away for a few months.. I recently came back to visit and the poke quality went down. The bowls are smaller, they stopped giving you sushi rice, the portions are way less, and they also stopped using orange masago. (now red.. which doesnt taste as good..) I really miss the old Aya..
We order from you 3 times per week. I think the fact that you charge so much and usually get it right makes tonight order especially depressing! You rushed me through to get the order done which you normally dont do and then when I requested specifically to have light sauce, just a little sauce not a lot, you gave me EXTRA SAUCE. Then you had the nerve to charge extra for tofu instead of chicken (ok, whatever) but the tofu AGAIN was not up to the standard of what you have normally delivered. This is amateur at best and not something Ive come to expect from your restaurant. We debated between this place and another place and decided on you and made a sore mistake. BE CONSISTENT with your quality. I dont think well be coming back again for a long while. We sunk $400/month into your business and you have no respect for your customers. Ive attached a photo. This is clearly EXTRA watery sauce and soggy tofu when I asked for the COMPLETE opposite. Im so disgusted.
Love, Love, Love this place!! My family and I miss dining in. Due to Covid its take out only. We order from here at least twice a month. Sushi is always fresh. Chinese food is delicious. Food is ready for pickup in less than 20 mins. I wont order my Chinese food or sushi from anywhere else! Highly recommend.
I’ve been eating here for years and I would’ve said that it’s a perfect place to eat a few years back but about a year before the pandemic started the quality has gone down so much.
I’ve been ordering from here once or twice a week for years. Their food is consistently delicious and usually gets delivered very quickly. I’ve tried other sushi places, but nothing compares to Aya Asian Fusion. Best sushi in Philadelphia.

The food was very well made and fresh. Order was completed in the time they said it would. Definitely a great place to get some late night Asian cuisine. My gf also liked it and she is very picky so that says a lot! Will def order from here again.
AMAZING SUSHI. I went here once and got the tiger and dynamite rolls and oh my God. Amazing. I am officially hooked on this place. The prices are great and they have a wide range of foods on the menu, the waiter was so polite and well kept and attentive it was quiet and very relaxed feeling. The food was out fast and delicious. Definitely my new favorite sushi spot that is close to me!
The area isnt crawling with sushi places. Granted, its not the best sushi I have had in the city BUT it is the best in this area. I order here often. I mostly order out but dined-in recently. The service was great! Polite, timely, friendly...A+ :)The Poke Bowls are delicious and favorite thing on the menu.Food tastes fresh, made fast and prices are SUPER fair.

When I ordered I realized they were closing soon. I asked if it was ok to orders still and not only were they more than happy to take my order, it arrived quick and delicious! This has become my favorite takeout for Asian cuisine. I highly recommend just about anything!
Amazing Amazing food!!! I tried one of their poke bowls which included smoked salmon, boiled shrimp, cucumbers, onions, ginger, rice, jalapenos with a sweet chili sauce..... I recommend this place and I will definitely return.
I’m honestly baffled that this establishment has more than one star.We ordered online from this restaurant on a Friday night and our food was ready within 45 mins which is fine, since we (regretfully) placed a very large order. First, the pad Thai— so bland and it didn’t even have any peanuts or lime. Have you ever had pad Thai like this? And the fried rice had no taste other than soy sauce. I personally think it’s really hard to mess these simple dishes up but well.The sushi was 1/10. The only edible thing was the California roll. We got maybe 8 raw rolls and tuna tartare. The tuna tartar was legitimately the worse thing from the order. NO TASTE, just mushed you tuna with tempura crumbs on top. Unbelievable. Not to mention that 3/4 of our had horrible stomach aches after this. My boyfriend was on the toilet for a good portion of the night after eating the sashimi and rolls.The tempura shrimp and veggies looked like fried Oreos, did not look like tempura at all. Tasted doughy and thick.Honestly, save your money, like I wish I did. We spent over $175 here and the food was barely edible.
Every time I order delivery and I give cash tip, the delivery driver takes it upon himself to add a tip that I did not approve ! This is the 2nd time they have done this ! I am furious and I will not be ordering from them again. I just want my refund in the tip that was given to the delivery driver by himself ! This is unacceptable and very much frustrating because I work for my money and I don’t like when someone steals from me 😡
Walnut Shrimp cook to hard but the cook sushi (Tiger roll) was good.
Im a hot foods kinda guy and any of their meats/ lomein have been top notch. Basics that are usually slopped together by other local restaurants caus its easy are made with care here IMO and turn out to be some of the best in the neighborhood.
I ordered the sushi I prefer. also, I knew how to make that sushi. It is tasty. But not tasty enough if compare with the sushi I made.the eel sauce is little too light. Sauce for cook sushi rice is not great enough. and the avocado is a little bit row. but I still like my shrimp tempura. just too picky:)
This place is a hidden gem in the otherwise mundane and mediocre pocket of NE Philly. On the inside, it’s clean and nicely decorated. It’s a good place to take a date. Delivery is usually fast and the food comes hot. I have only tried their Japanese and Chinese food but both are great. It’s probably the best Chinese food in the NE area. One thing, though, their chicken used to be gamey tasting.. however it’s gotten much better! My favorite from Aya would have to be the sesame chicken. I definitely recommend this place.
Fantastic sushi and menu. Some specials are worth it. Extremely fast delivery. However, most of their menu is overly priced for the small amount they give. They add on an additional delivery charge per sushi choice if ordering from the 50% off menu in addition to a delivery charge not including tipping the delivery person. The last time I ordered sushi for delivery the guy took my $ without even asking if Id like change. Very disrespectful business. Ive been ordering from them for a few years and most places around here will throw in something if youre a regular customer or at least treat you with respect. Unfortunately, they will not be receiving my business any longer. Also, they heavily use carrots in their Chinese portion of the menu. King Food Restaurant is way better, no sushi but delicious, friendly staff and properly priced. If you want sushi around here I suggest the Hibachi Grill on Cottman Ave, just as good and all you can eat.
I have been coming here for a few years now and have never had the experience I had today. I have always had a great experience, until today as well as one time prior to today. When I called about my issue , the staff handled it very poorly and it resulted into an argument between I and the staff member via phone call . I am very shocked and disappointed. Do not recommend anymore. I think that it is crucial to have good customer service in a business and if you aren’t accommodating your customers to their needs or at least trying to, THAT’S A PROBLEM!
The hype is real! Cozy restaurant with prompt service and awesome food. Two words: wasabi noodles! Please make sure someone at your table orders this dish. Get a glass of wine and start with the shrimp dumplings. Overall great experience - definitely towards the top of my list of restaurants in PA.
I ordered takeout on a Saturday evening. It arrived rather quickly. The sushi was delicious and very fresh. The prices arent bad either. I will have to check out the eatablishment in person. I will definitely order again.
My first time ordering here, I got Vegetable Lo Mein and Buddhist Delight. If I was to die after this meal I would be happy.
Sushi is amazing. Restaurant is lovely. Parking is only issue when picking up or dining in. Definitely worth trying if u love sushi. I have not tried their Chinese menu yet. Will be ordering food from the again. They also have delivery if needed.
Ive eaten at a lot of sushi spots over the last few years, and this honestly might be some of the best in Philly. Great quality and you cannot beat the price. Im very satisfied and absolutely stuffed for less than $20. Surprising little hidden spot in Mayfair, who woulda thought. I recommend this place for sure.
Do yourself a favor and check out the Department of public health reviews on this restaurant. I am disgusted I ever ate there.I have ordered out from this restaurant many, many times and the food was pretty decent. I ran into the general tsos being a little over cooked a few times and my husband said the sushi was going down hill, never complained. I had an issue recently where the noodles honestly tasted like they boiled it in dirty dish water. When I called to state this I was literally yelled at by who I am assuming is the owner and told to never order or come there ever again. I was no where near mean or anything on the phone and I stated I would like either a refund or something else they refused to give me a refund and said I had to come back there to get something else. Well, I did come back only to have the owner/cook/whatever come out sniff it, state it was fine then also state he may have used dirty water. Yes, he said that after saying the food was fine. It was just a horrible experience and I will NEVER order from there. I suggest you dont either. That is no way to treat customers.
HORRIBLE. i order from there all the time, today i didn’t have a tip. the delivery driver was YELLING at me to tell him how much i could tip so he could put it in the system. i told him i couldn’t provide one this time. then while walking away from me, he screamed “DONT ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN.” literally left me shaking. this was the second time this happened. with my sister too. she apparently gave a too “little” tip. unbelievable.

I have bought from here a couple times but it is now a last resort because every time except one time I orderedfrom here I had very rude experiences.Everything from shooing you away in the restaurant, demanding bigger tips, and trying to walk away with your food happens here.So basically really nice food, but extremely rude service, so rude that it is like, who raised these people?I wouldnt recommend this place because of their outstandingly terrible service. We love this place. Weve been coming for years. The sushi is fresh and delicious. Dont sleep on the rest of the menu. The Thai is really good and the Chinese is the best in the neighborhood. Byob and the bento boxes are a great deal
Ill admit, all I ever get from Chinese restaurants is general tso chicken (and sometimes lo mein), but this place is great for those. And my girlfriend and family who get the sushi from there also love that as well. Food is always ready within 15 minutes.
Last night was the worse experience for ordering out .The food was below par forgot to Deliver our rolls. 80.00 down the drain.Drain
So my wife and i were in the philly area today and we decided to get sushi. We went to this place and i ordered the godzilla roll. When i got the roll, it looked nice but then when i tried gripping it with my chop sticks, i couldnt get a firm grip on the roll and then it just fell to pieces. I told the waitress that the roll was to big and that i didnt like it. She smiled and laughed at me and then walked away from me like i was joking or something. I wasnt joking, so i wasnt happy with the roll so i called the manager over. She wasnt helpful either. Poor customer service!!!
Ive been going to this restaurant for takeout for years now and Ive always received fresh and tasty food. The wonton soup is always consistent along with other Chinese food dishes. The sushi is the best in this area and I always get 5 or 6 rolls. Spicy tuna and yellowtail are always delicious along with your usual California and Philly rolls. The staff has always been friendly and professional to me.
Pretty good food, General Tsos is Top 3 around. Broccoli is quite a delight with the orders sauce itself. Nice place, good server, clean quiet environment. Wouldnt bring a 3 child family but good for groups of 3-4 or less.
Great sushi for awesome price. I live in Bucks County and to get a good signature roll cost $14. Here they have them for half that and they are just as good.
Ive been here a few times, their main entrees are pretty good but I wasnt thrilled with their soft shell crab or calamari. I will say their Singapore Mei Fun ispretty good!! Its one of my go to spots since its conveniently located! Try them out!!
This place sale cat and I watch mice run under tables. I order take out and had it deliver and had a damn worm crawl out my sushi. Be careful of this place . They are selling old food and rotten. I recommend not eating from this place. Cheap is not good. If cheap and old food work for you so be it

Ordered Shrimp and broccoli with shrimp fried rice. I also ordered via grub hub. Not only did the food come at the exact time expected but it was great. It has been a while since I order fried rice from anywhere , and not only received fried rice( not that brown/yellow rice they try and pass off as fried rice) but received authentic fried rice with eggs onions bean sprouts and veggies in it. The food was great will be ordering from there again.
We ordered $100 worth of food, everything tasted good, nothing special, but it is definitely overpriced, bento boxes are probably the way to go when ordering here. The miso soup and mushroom soup had the exact same flavor.
Best sushi hands down! And its BYOB! Always have a good experience! The same waiter is always there. While culturally, its difficult to figure out his personality he isaccommodating. I love coming here .
Ive been ordering from here consistently for the past 5 years. Despite occasional mistakes, the food has been a steady slightly-better-than-mediocre which is typical for northeast philadelphia. Today I ordered again, my usual $25 order for delivery. An angry man I could barely understand called and yelled that my order was too small and their new minimum is $35. Well, there are plenty of other places to order from.
Though Generally Fresh and efficient, the Thai food is never even close to Thai food, more like a marketing scheme. I may eat there again, but they got my order wrong and kinda didnt want to admit it which made me upset. The rice I ordered, coconut pineapple rice, had no pineapple or coconut flavor at all that was to be detected. They failed to admit it was really just chicken fried rice. Why not just say oh, perhaps we made a mistake... and try to remedy the problem. The girl told me it wasnt authentic Thai food so I wouldnt be satisfied anyway...what kind of fusion is that?
Aya is my favorite little Asian joint. The Sushi is fresh and they have a 50% off menu that makes my life happy. Must-try: Godzilla roll with salmon, Volcano roll, Rock-n-Roll, Sunomono appetizer, avocado salad, spring rolls, any sushi roll with salmon. Prices are reasonable, staff are friendly, food is excellent.
Service was a tiny bit off, but it was late on a Sunday night (our waiter never offered us hot tea or water), and my check was presented before we were asked if we might be interested in dessert. We intend to give the restaurant another chance. The food was good and we took the leftovers home.
Wow!! What can u say about this place that is clean and the service was very good and so was the food that is sooooo delish. And at Aya Asian Fusion its worth the wait for. It is presented to the customers who sit down to eat as a couple or aloner, in a plate that are beautifully set up to look like picture perfect. That just came right out of a brochure of theirs or of a magazine, but with the real taste in ur mouth when u take in the first spoon.Wow!!! And I am telling all who comes to visit Philly, where to go to eat good, fresh food in a clean environment which is welcomed to all, this place that will make you feel like home.👍😋

While Ive never dined in person, the food from this upscale Asian restaurant has consistently been excellent. Highly recommend the Gyoza and the Sesame Chicken Bento Box.
Really great sushi! It is usually a very quiet, tidy joint with great food. The only problem I have ever had is a manager or owner always looking mad and yelling at employees. I have never had bad service though.
I just tried to order a Bento Box and the Lady asked for my address and did not allow me to finish with giving my apartment number. I canceled my order called back to speak with a manager. She got on the phone and tried to resolve it. The owner grabbed the phone from her and said too much talking we are busy Bye! And hung up on me. The owner was disgusting for that and I would never in a million years eat here again. Rightnow this place is getting one star from me and Im never ordering from here ever all I wanted was a decent meal after a hard day of work. ---(this was my compliment two years ago)Food is very very delicious & nice people.

My father and i eat lunch here all the time..The owner is a quiet man but always smiles and greets us..the food is delicious with large portions and very reasonable lunch special prices. We have never had a bad meal or bad service in the 20+ times weve eaten here.
These people all have a very very bad attitude. I am pretty sure they are racist as well. I will never order from them for the mere fact that they have horrible customer service. I advise everyone to never order from here ever in life. And check the health department so many complaints. I even seen a roach crawl on the floor . This place is horrible in all honesty stay far far away.
Owner was very rude. Driver could not find address and left voicemail to call back and give more information.. When I did so I was told to cancel my order if I cannot pick up and then hung up on. After going to pickup.. Hostess was friendly while the owner complained to me about how busy they are and he pays the driver $10 an hour- he had one dine in customer seated and two idle employees behind the counter on their cell phones. I dont even want to try this food. Terrible and nasty attitude. No customer service skills whatsoever.

The absolute poorest customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I ordered from this place on grub hub which clearly indicates a $20 dollar minimum my order was processed and I get a call from this restaurant telling me they refuse to deliver to me because it’s too far.. mind you I live 13 minutes away... then they start claiming that it’s now a $40 dollar minimum. The owner got on the phone and I’m honestly just appalled by how rude he was to me. He gave me the biggest attitude and said $40 dollar minimum ok? Ok? Bye! Bye! Bye! And hung up on me... extremely unprofessional I’m like still in shock that they would treat a customer this way
Good quality sushi. I LOVE the Aya roll . TIGER ROLL, ETC.. They have BYOB and its so peaceful in there 👌 they also have chinese food on the menu like fried rice nd other simple dishes.

The food is good but they harass people for tips when they deliver. This is about the fourth time Ive been told I need to write a tip. Not polite.*Update* I ordered again. Delivery guy didnt bring enough money to give me correct change. Its ashame cause I was gonna tip this time now idk I might have exact change everytime 😭
The food here is not very flavorful. The shrimp in my tempura was overcooked while the potatoes were not done. And the sushi is overpriced and tastes awful. Cant speak for the other types of food, but do not go here for the Japanese food.
Been ordering from this place for months never had a problem til last night. Called them about my order that was totally wrong and owner would not make good for food .He said I NO CARE YOU GET NOTHING FROM ME DONT COME BACK YOU GET NOTHIN FOR FREE. HE IS A VERY SMUG PERSON AND HE HUNG UP ON ME.Well, there are other places that sell sushi your not the only place. IF YOU KEEP UP THAT ATTITUDE LIKETHAT YOU WONT BE IN BUSINESS FOR LONG .

Dont waste your time. Food is ok, service is absolutely terrible. Has issues the last 4 times we ordered so we called after our order tonight and the lovely person that answers starts to yell at us that we dont get extra mustard because our order is too small. The last 4-5 times our order averages 25$ and we cant getspicy mustard? Really thats funny, thankfully for us there are Chinese restaurants all over the place. Do yourself a favor stear clear of this place. And to the owner of this place better change the attitude of yor business or you wont last much longer. I see all the bad reviews lately so I see its only getting worse.
Drove by wanting sushi so I thought I’d give it a try. I called to place an order for delivery, the first time I called the guy yelled at me over the phone to make up my mind before I called then simply hung up on me and would not answer my call after that, so I tried calling again off my friends phone and come to find out the same guy answered. Once my friend starts ordering the guy cuts her off and asks “what’s the address” she confirmed the address and he yells “I can not hear you” after repeating our address 3 times the guy ended the call saying “we don’t deliver” NEVER AGAIN ! how is this place still open after all these bad reviews and horrible customer service!!
I hope this place closes down. Their lack of respect for their customers is revolting.This afternoon, at 3pm, my wife called and asked if they could make the basil chicken dish with tofu (instead of chicken) and if she could pay to have green beans added to it. She selected to have $3 worth of green beans added. The meal totaled almost $14.When I got home from work, I opened the container and it was SWIMMING in oil. The oil was leaking over the sides of the container. Under the inch oil was several large chunks of tofu. There was approximately 10 green beans throughout the dish and each and every one of them were so overcooked that they had turned brown. The peppers were complete mush. No part of the meal was edible.I figured a small business in the neighborhood would correct their mistake. I drove up there, approached the man at the register, and started to explain that the meal was super oily and very overcooked. He immediately began saying no change, no change. I attempted to show him how oily it was. It continued to say no change, no change, I do nothing. He then went on to COMPLAIN about how my wife changed the chicken to tofu and how it was too long since she picked it up (and lied about what time she had gotten it). I had eaten NOTHING out of the container. I did not even expect my money back. I was hoping that a responsible owner would have offered to make it again. But, he spent the entirety of our interaction saying no change, no change, I do nothing. I left the food on his counter and walked out.He is a horrible business man. He treated me awfully from the moment I stepped in the door with the bag in my hand. We will never go back again and I encourage you not to as well.
My order was 5 different rolls. Only one was barely edible over $50 bucks that i spent on my favorite food for my Birthday and I wasted it on sushi that i just know was made way way way before i ordered it and if that not true then the ingredents were not fresh. Fish is supppse to be firm not mushy. Spicy is suppose to be spicy there was no flavor in the eel..such a waste. I am so mad at myself i could have just got crablegs from the store and still woild have had 10 bucks left over for a so so bottle of Champagne.

Ridiculously expensive .. wanted to add chicken fried rice instead of pork n they charge an extra 2 dollors for pbly hardly any chicken in rice ..ridiculous chicken isnt even expensive to charge extra for it no more expensive than pork. I dont understand why the charge extra any asian restaurant for that .. its not like im asking for shrimp which cost more... ok food but terrible customer service at times depends on who picks up .. to expensive for basic asian food
Food is ok but every expensive and the kitchen and sushi bar are filthy with nats and fruit flies crawing all over the raw fish. The owner treats people like crap.. It doesnt matter how often you eat here he will not treat you with any respect.

Found a hair in my food and they refused to give me a refund. And than the manager comes out and says that I put the hair in the food! I guess he was blind cuz he must not of noticed that I wear a hijab and my hair is all covered! Terrible people!!!
I put up with their attitude for too long because they actually have good sushi but now I am just too pregnant to take their ignorance! I have been a loyal customer for years and have gotten MANY people hook on aya but now I wish I hadnt because I believe that NO food, no matter how good it is can make up for disgusting customers service! I even stuck with them after my mother had a falling out with them about their disrespectful behavior over the phone but I just dont have enough patience in the world to deal with someone who repeatedly takes my money & treat me like crap! & to be treated like crap while pregnant?? Terrible customer service. I have ordered from this place many times because I really like the teriyaki steak bento box, never had a problem before. Will never order again because they delivered steak that was extremely pink. When I called to complain they gave me the ring around and closed the phone on me.

Love the sushi. Great quality. However service sucks. Wish they could provide better customer service, then they would get 5 stars.

This place used to be soo good i don’t know what happened ! Every time my friends and i come here we order pepper steak and another friend gets beef and broccoli and faithfully every time we get our food the sauce looks disgusting like a giant boogie ! And the wonton has a new odd taste to it it’s gross ! Will not be coming here any more
Well I would have said I loved this place because I have ordered from here a few times now food is good but after the way I was treated tonight on the phone by the OWNER never again will I spend my money here.... he was completely rude kept cutting me off was trying to charge me $27 for something I always get for $15 and hung up on me when I asked him is this how he treats his customers ....its a shame they lost a loyal customer as soon as I heard about this place I have only ordered from here well no more and I will tell all my friends how I was treated also!
So... Were addicted to Aya! We order anytime we want sushi... But their calamari or coconut noodles... Mmmmhmmmm yessir!We decided to visit and its so cozy inside!

Awful.. never got my food. They refused to refund me my money and they would hang up on me every time I called to try to resolve the issue. Extremely unprofessional I will never order from there again. I had ordered from there several times prior food was OK very overpriced.

Everything is good except the Tom Yum Goong, they dont have any of the proper ingredients. It still tastes alright but is definitely not lemon grass soup.
This place use be decent...they have fallen off bad...i ordered the masaman curry and sauce tasted like lightly spiced water....i called to speak to someone and person i spoke to was supposedly the owner...he was mad and defensive...never eating from here again...these neighborhood restaurants are getting really bad.

2021-12-28Best place to get sushi in the area its pretty cheap around $8 for most rolls which are usually 8 pieces of sushi or 5 for certain rolls but the sushi is delicious have not tried a lot of their other stuff but everything Ive had has been delicious

2022-07-09The delivery driver attempted to hold my food hostage for a cash tip. I had already tipped in the delivery app. I was even generous, and tipped more than the recommended tip. I used their delivery app recommended on Google, the driver is their regular delivery man. My son who answered the door was very confused because we always tip in app. It was only after I pointed out that I was recording everything on my doorbell camera, the he finally handed my food over and left. The food was excellent, but the delivery driver almost had the cops called on him. Im very disappointed with this. Will never order from here again. 2019-03-30Decided Sushi was the thing for today and we ended up here. It was a pleasant surprise at how good it actually was ! Everything we ordered was on point! Our waiter was very nice and checked on is throughout our meal...but did not seem rushed . Soothing background music and soft lighting made it super chill and relaxed. Not super expensive..however there are no combo meals here and a dish is relatively restaurant priced and worth it ! 5 out of 5 for this place !
