Bedford, PAs Fall Festival is always well attended and fun to go to. This years last day of the festival was foggy, misty and overcast. But that didnt stop families from showing up and purchasing crabcakes, crab soup, steak sandwiches, venison burgers, fresh cut French fries, sausages, etc. along with fresh squeezed lemonade and sweet tea. For me the food highlight was the fresh-pressed apple cider and the Cinnamon-roasted almonds and cashews!! Lots of handmade crafts, jewelry and clothes too. We also stopped at the Historic Bedford Village just outside town on Rt. 220. A worthwhile living museum of early American life, pre-revolutionary days. Be sure to check that out!!
We absolutely love this festival. We make plans to come every year. Many vendors set up in the same place every year. Weve gotten to know some of them and enjoy revisiting and letting them know how much we love what they are crafting. The charm of this yesteryear town is incredible. There are so many things to see and do. We still have a huge list. You must visit this festival some time. Its so worth it.
Its a very popular festival. I recommend parking remotely and taking the shuttle to downtown. We waited about 10-15 min for the shuttle both ways which seems reasonable. It is busy. Lots to see and do. Including live entertainment on stages and in the street. Be prepared to wait in line 30min for food.
One of the best festivals ive ever been to. They have parking thats $7 and a free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes. They shut down the area to traffic. You have two streets to walk down and shop. All kinds of different crafts. Ive gone the past 3 years. It is packed with people, but everyone tries to be considerate.
Bedford fall foliage is held the first two weekends of October every year. They have crafts of all types , good food stands and other goodies. They also have a very good display of antique farm equipment and other displays. If youve never been it is worth checking it out.
Updating this review since my previous issue was resolved thanks to a member of the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce reaching out and getting the FAQ fixed. I did end up attending the event with my service dog, and received no access issues. My mother and I enjoyed the event, and Ill definitely be going back again next year.Im still leaving the original review below, and not giving 5 stars, simply because the initial interaction was definitely still highly unprofessional and unpleasant.Original review: Highly disrespectful. I very politely and professionally messaged the page in regards to the FAQ stating registered service dogs would be an exception. Response from the website contact form was non-existent, and response from the Facebook page was slow and unprofessional. I provided a direct link to the ADAs website on service dogs, and explained that by federal law (the ADA, enforced by the DOJ) there is no registration, certification, or other documentation required for a service dog to accompany the disabled handler into public places. 2 days passed after sending that, so I sent a follow up, to ensure it was read. Got a reply saying they hadnt had time to read it. I was polite in my reply once again. 5 days later (tonight) still no reply so I followed up again. Received a message stating We are aware that service dog registration is not required by law. So I replied expressing my confusion, and was met with a great deal of rudeness and unprofessionalism.Unsure if I can add photos to this review. So to see screenshots of the entire conversation, go to Yelp or Facebook.Very disappointing.
Im a native and have always loved Fall Foliage. Unfortunately the same vendors always take the same spot with the same product year after year. It would be good if they didnt allow vendors to have the same spot twice just to mix the feel of the event and give a fresh view each year.
Its a family tradition for us to all go down and walk around and have lunch and see all the wonderful crafts that everybody has made or has to offer I always buy things I bought a scarecrow this year so wonderful experience I recommend it to everybody to go see you next year

2018-10-14Lots of crafters, food booths, and activities for kids. Could have used a bit more signage to find restrooms. But all in all a lot to see. Looking forward to next year.

2021-10-12Really good selections of vendors and food. There are even activities for the kids to do. Love the wide range of vendors, from mushroom growling kids, jewelry, dog and cat treats, wood carvings, etc. The fact that more and more vendors are taking credit cards really helps with people who rarely have cash on them. We went on the last day around noon and had no issue finding $5 parking.

2022-02-02Just like most of Bedford county, full of conceited people full of themselves. To quote Weird All, Id rather clean all the bathrooms in Grand Central Station, with my tongue then go to Fall Foilage.

2021-10-30Large craft fair held the first two weekends of October in downtown Bedford, PA. Food and craft vendors line the streets. Theres an abundance of food trucks along with the fire department and local churches selling fun food, and the craft booths have a variety of homemade goods on display. Great fall craft festival to visit and spend some quality time with family and friends. A yearly tradition for many.

2021-10-14Never been there before. There were a lot of vendors and food trucks. It was a nice time for the family to get out together. Some of the vendors were very unique, but nothing really caught our attention.

2021-10-28Great festival til a vendor doodle scoopers started ripping off multiple peopleBEWARE OF DOODLE SCOOPERS OF GREENSBURG PAOn 10/4 we went to Bedford for the foliage festival and purchase some treats for our fur babies. Our purchase was $8.52 total. I shortly saw 2 extras charges on my statement of $83.24 x2 totaling $166.48 on top of the $8.52 charge. I searched and found the vendor trying to communicate to get this resolved professionally first. They said they would be mailing me a check would not provide tracking when I asked for it. After no receipt I recontacted them asking for payment via electronic means ASAP. They said I was to get it Tuesday here it is Thursday and still have not received it. They will be reported as fraud and blasted everywhere of this rip off and I am not the only one.

2021-10-03I usually love to go to this festival but it just seems there are so many booths with the same exact items. And there were definitely less booths then previous years.
