Best Buy in other cities:
I have been awaiting my new computer, the Best Buy Business team assisted in my purchase, I affectionately named it Mushu, the little Chinese dragon that came to save the day. I am so glad they were able to special order my hp z book. The razer huntzman collection with chroma color is wonderful.
I wish there was a no stars option. After calling multiple times as I had a rather specific question and being hung up on after choosing multiple options. I attempted to use the the message option that was supposed to be manned by a live rep only to see this apparently Best Buy has made so much money that they no longer need customers. Okay, See ya!
Well, it was a few days before Christmas, but with all the employees wandering around, you would think I wouldnt have to almost climb on the fitbit display, and still not have even 1 person ask me if I needed anything... What has happened to people anymore. No one wants to work, thinking this country is made of money (ITS NOT!!!!!), and those that have to work think their time is worth the US mint. I will say the associate working at the geek squad section went above and beyond to help clear the line.. Thank you for the 1 great employee surrounded by a whole lot of lazy ones...
My personal experiences with the Erie store have been exceptionally good. Sara(h?) & Susan are exemplary management, hands down! I go out of my way and travel over an hour and a half to Erie Pa, because I know that they are going to give me the best overall experience.
When we opened the undamaged box, the tv inside was damaged. We were able to return it without question. There were no more Identical tvs in the store but were assured one could be shipped for next day pickup at no extra charge, or go up to the next size for $40. We chose the bigger tv. Very pleased with how it was handled.
Purchased a TV with the help from a very knowledgeable and kind Best Buy associate. He spent as much time with us as we needed to arrive at our selection choice. We have purchased all our electronics at Best Buy for the past 21 years and have been very pleased with all their services.
If you have a broken phone or laptop, don’t even waste your time going here for help. You will not receive any. Instead they will try to tell you that you need to buy a brand new $1,200 laptop - of course. I just bought this Macbook Pro in April. When I walked in, I asked the woman at the door if they had certified Apple employees, she told me YES. I go back to the Apple section to find NO ONE. I later asked someone else.. he said, “oh yeah, that’s not a thing anymore”. Waiting in line at the Geek Squad desk.. the man asked me if I had an appointment, I did not. There was 1 guy not assisting anyone. He told me to come back the next day for an appointment……… I am just genuinely confused how you can go into an ELECTRONICS store and no one can help you or point you in the right direction. Next time I’m driving to Cleveland to go to Apple. I ended up going to the repair place across from the movies. He was so nice and ordered the part right there. I would rather do that then wait weeks for “Geek” Squad to not do anything but ship my laptop away for weeks.
0 stars if I could! I don’t know what store doesn’t have a phone to where they can talk to customers but I have returned and item over a week ago!!!!!!! And haven’t gotten my money back yet! It’s been 8 day now and I will be making a big deal and calling corporate about this !!
Bigger than most and a ton of selection. The problem I have is the employee knowledge. I have had family and friends been given bad advice on personal tech choice based on the criteria given. While browsing I have heard that bad advice from an employee to someone wanting to purchase. This is the problem with paying a low wage, you get badly knowledgeable staff. They need to be a lot more selective in their staff and get those who know personal tech and pay them a great wage for that knowledge.
Since when do you have to put your information in que while in the store to speak to someone?! All the sales associates walking around talking to each other 🙄Daryl was and no help just telling me they were to busy 😆 my item was right beside him and told me be Atleast 30 minutes to get someone to help me! He should be a Walmart greeter!
I had to wait almost 20minutes for anyone to help me. Finally a young man named Daryl came over to help me. He said he was the computer Manager so he would do his best to help me. I bought a Samsung 55in. And surround sound unit which was on sale. Also a surcharge extension outlet. I spent $1500.00. I am not happy with this TV. I just wanted a 50 in. SMART TV. Its to complicated for me as l must return it. Is there anyway l can have someone pick the TV and surround sound unit up please before Saturday 18th. Im not able to do this myself as l am a Senior Citizen.
We needed to buy several televisions, and certainly found the right place.Their no pressure sales tactic is great. However when we did have several questions, the sales associate was immediately available for assistance. There were some great deals offered on televisions, especially the model we selected. Overall a great shopping experience today. I have been a long time customer of Best Buy, and am never disappointed.
If you need computer, networking, AV or gaming gear and you cant wait for Amazon, this is the place to go. A couple of months ago a neighbor had a mental breakdown and in a fit, cut my data line running up the side of my house 3 hours before I had to start work. Best Buy had the ethernet cable I needed to get hooked up so I wouldnt lose time and money.
I shattered my screen on my new phone and went in to see if I had any sort of warranty. I did not, and the person helping me informed me that there was absolutely no way to order a new screen or get any help unless I drove to Pittsburgh or York, PA. I drove down the street to Batteries + Bulbs and got great customer service there. They informed me that they can order Samsung screens no problem. Glad I looked around or else Id be taking a drive to Pittsburgh. Ive spent quite a bit of money at this Best Buy and it seems every time I go there, the customer service is awful. Nobody wants to help you and theyre happy to turn you away.
I used to always love Best Buy and a loyal customer when it comes to electronics... Their Customer Service is absolutely garbage! After multiple times attempting to talk to a manager I was left wondering if I actually even talked to a manager or just someone with a colored vest.Just as bad as their customer service, they sell electronics that will fail or break and will need to send back to the manufacturer, they will not help you in this matter at all and basically say sorry it will take 8 weeks but good luck. Worst service I have ever seen from a Best Buy.
The store is always clean and the staff is very helpful and ready to tend to all needs. The one issue with this location is, literally, the location of the store. Getting in an out of the parking lot can be very tricky on the weekends when it is very busy. (There are many stores and restaurants in the same area) The parking lot has one entrance area that has the only access to the rear entrance and side parking lot so it tends to get somewhat choked when busy. This makes it a hassle to get to the store easily.
Any bad reviews you see of this store are from grumpy, snarky customers with bad grammar. If you have a good idea of what you want beforehand, are open to advice from an associate, AND youre polite to those said associates you ask for advice from, then you wont have a problem. I went for a TV with a budget and size in mind, and Keith (a national treasure, truly a great employee) was nothing but fabulous. Ended up having a missing cord since I got an unboxed TV, and the store customer service gave me one for free, no questions asked. Great store and great employees.
I called the store three different times each time I waited to speak to a human for over 10 min. I never got through to a human. I went to the store, at which point I stood at the appliance center for 5 minutes with no sign of help. I had to walk to the other side of the store to find an associate willing to radio for help at appliances. Waited at appliances for what felt too long again. When the employee arrived to help his tone and demeanor implied I was inconveniencing this person. The employee kept suggesting I just buy what I want “online” and “on the website “ before admitting they had not really user stood what I was asking in the first place. I then had to explain to this employee that I just wanted to reorder a product I ordered 3 months ago. I had to explain the solution options to this person while feeling like I was some kind of problem customer. It was very poor customer service.
Friendly staff up front and in electronics. However I will not buy another appliance as long as the current appliance manager is there. He was really rude multiple times. Bought a refrigerator there and had nothing but trouble, went in another time looking at washing machine and he was extremely rude. So I took my business elsewhere.
Horrible customer service!! I called the Erie store 10 times for 5 days straight. No answer but when I went In person many employees were standing around!! Really ?!?! Answer the phone people !! So I decided to order 400.00 of merchandise at Walmart.com .. You would think because of many stores closing they could at least answer the phone
Always knowledgeable staff, always willing to help, sometimes they cant get stock for what you are looking for, but usually do. Was helped by an associate for over 30 minutes, was unable to find what I needed in stock in any short timeframe but was super helpful and gracious when I said we might need to go somewhere else.
Always an adventure trying to find what we need, no matter how much research we do, we find out new information from this staff which is appreciated. The vestibule was a mess, but the rest of the store was clean and organized. New product was being stocked as we shopped. Overall, good shopping experience. Attention to detail could be better.
My expectations were pretty low going in but when I asked three times for somebody to help me and nobody ever did its apparent that they really just dont care. So I told them at customer service on the way out and they cemented the fact that they didnt care. Lesson learned pay a little bit more at my local place where theyre happy for the business
Extremely horrible service. When I questioned a recent sale discrepancy for an item that was clearly marked on sale for a four day period, I was treated like I was their enemy. Their customer service rep (during an online chat) basically hung up/ended the chat rudely as I was asking if they could help fix the issue. They said there was nothing they could do even though their sale was still going on. I told the rep that I was upset about it and nicely asked for further consideration and they abruptly ended the chat. The chat system said the agent has ended the chat. How rude can a company be! Extremely HORRIBLE service. Beware when dealing Best Buy. It seems that theyre happy to take your money, but when there is an issue (even before the sale), I guess they just dont care. There are so many other places that treat me with respect. Ill choose those companies over Best Buy in heart beat.
I was reminded why I don’t shop at Best Buy when I needed a new/cheap cell phone while my iPhone was being repaired. The cheapest listed on the website was $70. The in store sales guy explained that the online advertised $70 phone was actually $110 with activation. When he had trouble with getting the pricing to work he found that he can only honor the $110 pricing with a two year contract, otherwise it’s $180. He said it was in the “fine print” which you had to click to see. Classic bait and switch from a dying store that can’t go out of business fast enough, for consumer sake. I went to Verizon and got a much better deal trading in my old iPhone for the iPhone 12.
Had an order that I needed picked up and my daughters boyfriend was going to be near the store so wanted to have him pick up my order. Spent over an hour on hold between 3 separate phone calls to see what I needed to do in order to allow him to pick up my order. No one ever answered the phone so I had no idea that all I had to do was add him as friends and family on my account for him to pick up my order but he found this out when he got there. Trouble is it takes an hour for him to be added on. Now I have an hour and a half round trip drive to get my order because evidently bestbuy Erie is incapable of picking up the phone. There customer service isn’t bad, it does not exist.
I met 2 different salesmen in different departments. They were both incredibly knowledgeable. I had a great many questions, which they patiently answered. I learned a LOT in a short time about laptop and remote starter. I will be buying a laptop in a short time at Best Buy now because of what I learned. Thank you.
I keep giving best buy chances but they just cant keep up with the times and fix their systems. I bought a new galaxy note 20 ultra and was going to trade in my old note 10. Well l, as a customer you need to turn in your old phone before you can get the new one. I have about 210gb worth of data on my old phone. Guess how long that will take to transfer. In the past it has taken me at least 5 hours. Canceled order and will be buying online from Samsung directly. They are no nonsense. Lost a tech customer for life
Didnt buy anything on this trip but was impressed with the help I received.I went in with the intention to purchase a specific item, bit wasnt sure. The service staff working the Earphones/headphones section was helpful. He had great knowledge of the products; explained things to me and gave me some honest suggestions. Gave me something to think about and will definitely return at a later date to make a purchase.
First off, usually the service in their is beyond great. Usually such wonderful employees. And they all were today except the one girl that helped me on computers. She was not very nice and made it clear she would rather be anywhere but there. But other than that it is usually a great place with friendly and helpful employees and with very reasonable prices.
Have a great variety of electronics and appliances. The service was horrible. We went to buy a new computer, for our business. We werent sure what brand would do the best. There were 4 workers, standing in a circle, chit chatting, close to us. They even looked at us standing there and not 1 came over to offer assistance!!! They carried on with their important conversation. A girl, walked over to us, that was isles away, to help is chose the best computer!! The young man, assocciate, in the vacuum section was very helpful.
I went in to buy a gaming laptop. I was browsing around the only person to say anything to me was the door greeter. I then finally asked a guy (Michael) about one of the clearance items. I had asked if it was the only one in stock. Well long story short. He told me it was the only one and there were two on display in two places. I was going to buy both but he seemed to just want me gone so I just left. I wouldve spent about $2000 with accessories and warranties. If I wanted all that I would just done shopping online. Which I will next time
I asked a female worker a question about a washer I was trying to purchase she got mad with a fake smile because I asked her another question and she said hold on let me get someone to help you no one never came... And the other day I was shopping here for a PlayStation 5 a male worker got loud and said order it on eBay we dont have any in the store and walked away real fast, I dont know what happen they use to be nice here now they are rude.
I received a faulty laptop from online and wanted to do an exchange. I was told they had the same product as the one I purchased but this one was actually an upgraded version. It turns out that upgraded version was a major downgrade from the original. Mind you that I actually forked over an extra fifty dollars for this supposed upgrade. I went back again to do a proper exchange but was informed they were completely sold out. I got my money back but after I got home I noticed the original laptop I wanted actually was in stock, just not brand new. I spoke to 2 associates and a supervisor in online chat and none of them would even match the price i was given for the original brand-new but defective laptop for the used version. I was given terrible customer service advice and essentially lied to twice in store and online is completely useless for helping customers. Only reason they get a 1 star rating is because I cant post 0 stars.
Incompetence has no bounds. My Best Buy warranty experience has been a pure nightmare. I had the power cord go bad on my surface pro in early August. I took it to bestbuy, they couldn’t give me one there NO! You have to get that shipped to you. So I had to buy one off the shelf that day in the same store to keep working? Cause That makes sense. Several weeks later I get A cord. Not the right cord. Back to bestbuy we go. This time is worse. Not only will I need to wait for it to be shipped, they had no choice but to send it (get this) not to the address the last one was sent but to my companies main office over 1,000 miles away. I have now been bounced around to several departments that don’t communicate with each other or know if the department I’m being forwarded to can actually change the shipping location. I’ve been disconnected 2 times and on the phone a total of (up to now, I’m on hold again) 2 1/2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous!
I hadnt visited a best buy in years, like 3 or 4 probably. I was so used to buying everything online, however I was very impatient one day and decided to just drive to purchase a few things, wow have they upped the electronic store vibe. Actual gaming PC parts! a whole branded test aisle for accessories! Very knowledgeable staff! I was thoroughly impressed to be honest. I found what I needed and proceeded on my way.The only very small downside is I could usually find items a little cheaper online the cheapest sometimes taking many days or weeks to arrive, Best Buy offers the convenience of right now so it didnt bother paying a few bucks extra to quench my impatience.Kudos Best Buy for upping your game over the years!
My experience today was outstanding. I shopped in 2 different departments at the store and received excellent advice delivered in a very courteous fashion. I made purchases from both departments and am confident that Ive made the best choice especially after the accommodating employees efficiently answered all my questions. Thank you to all the people I dealt with for making my shopping today a successful and pleasant outing.
If zero stars was an option I would give zero. Called at 6:20 nobody ever picked up the phone now the store is closed. I know that the store is not that busy that nobody could pick up the phone in 40 minutes. Not even a pick up the phone and say may I place you on a brief hold just absolutely comical and ridiculous. This is an issue that they have frequently as you can see it several times throughout the reviews and they just dont care about fixing it.
Our television broke and they sent Brock to repair it. This took five days because we had to wait for parts. He was unable to repair it and went out of his way to make sure we got a replacement that day. Was not very happy with the salesman or the sales associates at the store. Came home with a new television and it was not programming properly. Again Brock came right over and fixed it. I hope I dont need his services again but I will ask for Brock again if I do.
Great service!! A few days ago i came in for a product and asked to price match it at the register. The cashier Kristin told me that the site i wanted to price match it didn’t meet the requirements. As i was about to leave the store, she told me to hold on a moment and pulled out her phone and found my item cheaper on amazon and price matched. She went above and beyond when she didn’t have to. I will be shopping here again!
Looking for a new TV. Received excellent service while I wandered about the department lost among the many, many, many options! When our choice was delivered a few days later, the delivery men were professional, careful and courteous. All in all, a very good experience.
Wont shop there again, their customer service interupts you and hangs up on you when youre trying to tell her the situation. Ill buy online for now on, already receive my order from Amazon and didnt have to pick it up. You would think in this day and age the brick and mortor businesses would appreciate their customers more.
Went in to buy a TV , got more help from a Sony rep than I did Best Buy employees. I wasnt looking to purchase a high-end TV but a happy customer comes back. There were times I thought about leaving but needed to purchase the TV. I had a better experience around Christmas time on a camera purchase I was pretty disappointed about this time. Maybe I just caught him at an off-day well see how the next time goes.
Placed a preorder for the new Xbox series x console to be released November 10th and after successfully doing so got a confirmation for my order and it stated that I will not be charged until it is released and picked up at store. Shortly after that email got another email saying payment failed please update payment information well in the original email it said I won’t be charged until the day it becomes available and has shipped or picked up at the store. I’m not paying for something ahead of time when the product isn’t even available yet and shouldn’t have been even trying to charge me for it in the first place. Sure hope I have one waiting for me when it’s released and I’m able to pick it up.
I regularly visit this store with no intention to buy anything and just to look at the latest and greatest technology. However, in recent months a young man named Robert W started working there. Robert, along with his charming smile and knowledge of all the products in the store, sells me on something new every time. He is such a kind young man and is always willing to go the extra mile to help a customer.
Everyone is super helpful. The credit card is worth it for large purchases. Make sure you ask about open box items for an even bigger savings. Definitely sign up for their rewards membership (free) I got $115 back from a laptop purchase! Weekends can be super busy but the parking lot is large. Easily accessible from Peach St.
I want to share my great experience with Bryant Black Verizon expert. I was on vacation in Florida when my Samsung Note 20 decided to stop doing what it should do. I live in Fredonia New York so I was on my way home from Florida and decided to stop at Bestbuy in Erie to see if someone could help me. My phone was actually useless to me. No Google no email and all my apps were crashing. Bryant with extreme courtesy greeted me immediately as I walked straight into your store at the Samsung . His extreme knowledge and expertise completely fixed my phone. I will be back to Erie Bestbuy because of Bryant Black Thank you Kerry Murphy.
Ive made a couple large electronics purchases here in the past couple years. They have a great selection, 0 interest financing, and good pricing. My only beef is with the 2 salesmen I dealt with. Most of the workers seemed friendly and you cant wander too far without one asking if you need help. Its just bad luck that we get the bad ones lol. Last year we had a young guy who was very arrogant and seemed to be in a real rush to get us out of there. Today we had an older gentleman ring us up and he was just as arrogant. He acted as if we were a burden and he seemed to be rushing us too. I was grateful that he told us to stand the TV up instead of lay it down in my car, but he did it in a way that felt demeaning. A friendlier attitude and they would have gotten 5 stars from me. Id like to think these are isolated instances but 2 out of 2 is pretty telling.
I ordered a MacBook off the Best Buy website and had chose to do a pickup order at this location. I was having some difficulties with the website cancelling my order, called the Erie Best Buy and was helped by a man who built a cart for me over the phone and texted it to me. The pickup process was fast and easy and I even called ahead to make sure it was there, an employee went to the back to check for me. Everybody I talked to over the phone and outside of the store was extremely helpful.
Have always had great customer service at this store. The sales reps are knowledgeable of their products and willing to help you find what works best for you. Not just sell you a product. They did an outstanding job installing a new deck in my car and explained how it works. Will use them again and again....
Downright average electronics store. They have what you need but you can usually get it cheaper from Amazon. Customer service here is hit or miss. The older gentleman that works in cell phones was not nice and acted like I was bothering him when I was there to ask a question about one of their products I ordered online.
The service was excellent by CJ in the service dept. And Christina the Geek Squad Manager. I had bought a TV and couldnt get it to work. They quickly found the problem and replaced the TV with an upgrade. I couldnt ask for any better service, this is why I deal with Best Buy, I can count on them for great service and response.
TERRIBLE! Took my camera to be repaired. Finally received notice my camera was ready to be picked up. I attempted to contact Best Buy Geek Squad and no way humanly possible to ask a question through their automated menu. Got to the store i was imformed they could not repair the camera. No reason. No explanation why. No help whatsoever. I firmly requested they find that info and get it to me! Asap.
The only reason why I am even giving this store a one star is because there is no option for zero. The absolute worst customer service I have ever had in my life careful if you buy phones from there because when I did the phone wouldnt even work to make or receive phone calls then when you want to talk to somebody about your problem you get attitude. I went there because they had the better deals but man the customer service is horrible. So hopefully anyone that is reading this doesnt have to deal with the same issues as I did. Good Luck! For the rest of our phone lines and business with our phones we went to Sams Club way better customer service and still great deals.
It was very busy bc of the holidays approaching. So we had a significant wait for someone to help us. But we dont like to buy our electronics from anywhere else. They are friendly, helpful, and answer your questions concerning what you are buying. They are not pushy either.
Great staff very friendly. Only bad thing is that they did not have a charger for my acer nitro 5 but the exact laptop was available for sale but their chargers did not fit the laptop. They tested them on the display computer. Otherwise great place. $16 for a wireless mouse is a great deal!
Went there to buy a microwave. The associates working there were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products they have at Best Buy. The gentleman helping us kept our microwave in a safe place while we continued to shop. Once we were ready he took it to the register for us and even helped us to our car. I compared prices and the prices offered at Best Buy were very comparable to Walmart where I had stopped 1st. The biggest difference between Best Buy and Walmart was customer service and product knowledge. Best Buy was better at both and got my business because of it.
Best Buy is always a great place to go. We always find what we want and get in and out of the store quickly. The staff is extremely helpful. You never have to wait long, even if there are a lot of customers in the same area. The checkout process is always fast and easy.
No sales people to help me pick out a computer. When I asked, they said they were to understaffed to help me. So I went and asked one of the phone sales people and he did a good job helping me the best he could. They definitely need to have more computer sales people on staff, I would of bought one today.
The people that run this place are a joke they falsely advertise open box items and when they hand you a $1,000 laptop in a plastic bag it plainly shows how much they just blatantly do not care. I will never buy from here again I would rather buy a laptop from anywhere in the world than at best buy.
Service was not what I expected. We waited forever for someone to wait on us, finally had to find someone to wait on us. He initially tried selling us an HP and then a Lenova and then told us that Dell was junk and the computer we bought our son at Best Buy was junk....why did you sell it to us then?? Very poor customer service. We were looking at a computer in the $600-$700 range and kept on trying to upsell us to $1,100. Would think twice about going back.
I wanted my stock radio back in my car and they were able to do so, but the whole time gave me an attitude saying I dont understand what the problem is but all I kept saying is I just want my stock back. Poor customer service in the car audio department, he does good at his job but not so good with people.
Best Buy’s staff go out of their way to help you find everything you’re looking for. They answer any question you have on the product, an seem to be very knowledgeable about it also. The staff here are friendly, helpful, and professional. Anytime we come to Best Buy they always have what we stop for and the prices seem to be fair. Even if it’s a little on the high side, it’s probably because of the better quality and brands name plus they always offer that replacement warranty so you just can’t go wrong. We highly recommend Best Buy on Peach Street in Erie, PA.
At Best Buy, I can honestly say I cannot recall at least one negative experience in the last 15 years. Aside from actively researching the product in itself before going to the store, employees were equally as knowledgeable and very enthusiastically willing to make sure I get the best quality product on the market that money can buy.Edit:* Two days in a row with not a single department picking up..
I buy all my games here with the Gamers Club card and get 20% off of them. I also get $10 in rewards certificates for pre-ordering big titles. The points add up fast so Im always getting $5 reward certificates. I buy online with in store pick up and have never had any issues. Great store!
My phone died and needed a new one. Mobile sales consultant Christopher Sah**ey was anabsolute pleasure to deal with. I listed off a few criteria of what I needed and what I didnt need and within a few minutes he had it narrowed down to a few choices and then LET ME DECIDE. I dreaded going through all the specs of 20 different phones, he did it for me and I was out of there quickly. He listened to me instead of telling me, all sales should take a lesson.
Never been a huge fan of buying things from Best Buy, but the whole reason I wanted to write a review was to comment about how much the service reps are taught to nag their customers. I went in today to look at a canon 80d because I had plans of buying a refurbished one and in my time there I had 15-20 employees ask me if I had questions, or jump into my conversation, interrupt my conversations with my wife. It’s WAY too much! Just say hi and walk by, if I need something I’ll ask. I can’t enjoy looking at stuff and be nagged every two seconds and the fact I kept getting interrupted while I was talking to my wife was so rude. Let your customers shop! I left today very frustrated and annoyed. I know it’s not the reps fault, but Bestbuys marketing. It needs changed!
My wife was looking for a smart watch. Specifically one with a speaker in it. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and showed us two options that were perfect. A Fossil Gen5 and a Samsung Active 2. The Fossil looks better, but the Samsung pairs up nicely with her Galaxy phone and appears to integrate a bit better. She still hasnt decided ;-)
I understand ppl come to ask questions alot but i was lost on purchasing a tv with 120hz a young lady save this review from getting a 1 star I purchased a tv spent $1660 because she shown she wanted to help me understand for gaming the other guy worker was acting like i was kinda bother asking questions im happy with my LG OLED Cx 55 🥰 thank u
Ive used Best buy for 10 years for my antivirus on my home computer and my Laptop only this year they decided not to accept my yearly payment today is November 13th 2020 my bank debit card is good till December 2020 till I get a new one next month yet they refuse to let me pay this month with debit card I have now which is still valid till next month so now I cant use my home computer or my Laptop now because they refuse to let me make payment very poor customer service sorry to say
I really wanted to shop for car stereo speakers, but none or the radios seemed to be hooked to anything. None of the employees seemed to want to help at all as well. Needless to say they lost a couple hundred dollar sale that day, as I just walked out, Likely never to return.
Absolutely horrible customer service. Waited 20 minutes with sales staff standing around. When we asked for assistance (We knew what we wanted, we just needed someone to unlock a cabinet), a woman called on her headset, then left. Another 10 minutes and a guy who told us he works in the back came up, searched the cabinet, tried to find someone to help him, then tells us guess its not in stock. Went to Target, were immediately helped, made the purchase in under 10 minutes. Not returning to Best Buy.
I shopped here for a new TV a few days ago. I believe the gentleman who helped me was named Justin. He was extremely polite and got me a better tv for the same amount of money I was going to spend, as well as helped me find a sound bar on sale. People like that are what make going to the store a better experience than shopping online.
Best Buy, Erie PA - Customer Experience. Ordered a dryer on 5/28 - was back ordered until 6/29. A long time to wait, but a good deal, so okay... on the scheduled delivery date - 6/29 - my flight home was cancelled and I couldn’t make it... called them, apologized, and rescheduled for the next Friday. Received an email later saying my delivery was schedule for the following Tuesday instead - 7/3. Yay, I thought, earlier than expected. Took off work and waited. Didn’t hear from them by 1:00pm and started getting worried, so called the store. Confused warehouse employees told me my dryer was there, but not scheduled for delivery until Friday - confusion all around about why the computer said Tuesday, but for sure I was on the schedule for Friday - 7/5. Okay... took off work again. Friday comes, still no word from BestBuy. At around 11:30, I get an email saying my order has been cancelled. Definitely not by me, so I give them a call. Manager Jake tells me there was a computer glitch that caused that and the system has me scheduled for a 7/29 delivery... seriously, I say, and explain the saga. He feigns sympathy and tells me he’ll contact the delivery company to see what they can do. After taking two afternoons off work I’m frustrated, but it’s not his fault I tell him and myself. He calls me back shortly and tells me the delivery driver will try to get there today and if not will go outside of his normal schedule to work with me. This came as news to the delivery driver who told me he “didn’t know what the guys at Best Buy were telling me” but they overloaded him with deliveries and there was no way he was coming. Said he’d call me on Monday and let me know what he could do - and that he looked at the schedule and Best Buy now had me listed for August. Seriously?? Lo and behold it is now Monday. No word from the delivery driver and I just got an email from Best Buy telling me my order was completed and asking me to complete a survey about my experience. Needless to say, my survey results do not reflect upon them well. I know they could care less being big corporate and all, but I hope someone reads this review and decides to shop elsewhere. Terrible customer service!
Employees were very helpful past 2 days while visiting the store except one employee she wouldnt even help me get something off a cart which looked like gum she just looked at it and went ya there is something on it and asked security guy if he had any wipes. While I was holding my 2 year old in my arms she asked if she could help and when I replied if you want i just dont want to put him down he will run off she still did nothing but watch me do it myself. Oh wait in the beginning she did say well the small carts are out the then realized I wanted to out my son in the cart so instead of helping me clean up the cart she thought offering me one that would not help me at all was the answer. Oh and in the end the buckle did not latch properly so my son undid it which thank goodness I was watching cause he got right up.
Very frustrated with them tonight. Have experienced good service in the past but will be hesitant to try them again. After taking the person behind me in line, who did not have an appointment, they didnt have time to help me do anything but make an appointment. No thanks. Ill go to someone who appreciates my $.
I dont recommend getting a Best Buy credit card through them. Customer service is basically nonexistent and I still have yet to receive my card in the mail after several weeks. What is the point of offering a service if it doesnt even work???????? How can I report a lost or stolen card if I cant even speak to someone???? Absolutely Ridiculous....You guys are very disappointing. Get it together people.
Terrible service. Wish I could give zero stars. Bought a new MacBook Pro for my son for college. Bought online. Said will be ready in one hour. Son went to store 2 hours later and waited for 2 hours as the store said there was a hold on the order from corporate. However, my credit card has been charged at the time of order!! So store closed and my son sent home empty handed, still a hold on the order and the store told us to call the customer service number since its their issue and not the store issue. Waited on hold with customer service for 15 minutes until i got a live person who I could not understand very well. She tells me she has no idea what is going on and there is no hold on the computer and its a store issue!!! Said asked is my son was still in the store...its been closed for 45 minutes at this point!!!! She tells me there is nothing she could do. So I ask for a supervisor. She tell me to wait. I sit on hold for 20 more minutes and a different lady comes on the line (who speaks worse English)...I ask if she is a supervisor and she said no!!!! She needs to understand my issue first and has no clue what I just went through with the previous representative!! So we went through it ALL AGAIN!!! She said the same thing and i should wait for an email that may come tomorrow or in a couple of days that the computer (I already have paid for) will be available and she can not guarantee a time frame but confirmed they have the computers in stock and confirmed that it was available for one hour pick up!! (By this time I have been on the phone for over an hour and am at my wits end). I asked for her supervisor and she said there are none available. I had enough. I could not take it. I hung up. Will be in the store first thing in the morning and if its not ready I will be calling my credit card company to report the $1200 charge as fraud. Even if I get the computer, will NEVER SHOP AT BEST BUY AGAIN AND CAN NEVER RECOMMEND THEM.
Had a girl there that helped me make the decision to buy a smart watch or not. She actually ran to her fiance (who also works there), grabbed his watch and brought it back to me as it was the same smart watch i was looking at. I was worried that it was too bulky, but she went above and beyond to show me what it actually felt like on my wrist. Pretty awesome personalized service.
I tried calling the store several times today to ask a simple question about a recent purchase. It is apparently impossible to talk to a human being. After going through the ridiculous automated menu to be connected with a human being, I was on hold for 17 minutes before giving up (the first time). Tried again to see if I missed an option. Currently on hold (with HORRIBLE music playing I might add) and have been waiting for 9 minutes. 😠😡😠😡😠
First, the good news: Drew in appliances and Nick and Andrew on the delivery truck were great. The fridge seems to be fine. Then it goes downhill. Long story follows:My wife and I ordered this fridge a few days ago online for our tenants, who are moving in today (Friday). As part of the online order, I selected Tuesday for a delivery date, which was confirmed.I then called Best Buy to see whether a military discount is available. (It isnt.) During the call, the woman asked me when Id like it delivered. I told her Id arranged for Tuesday and she told me there was no mention of that in my order. She told me that only Friday was available. Not the happiest circumstance, but Friday (today) is the drop dead date. I needed that appliance today. Friday it was to be.That night, I got a confirmation text from Best Buy that the delivery would be made SATURDAY. No good. My tenants move in Friday and Id promised them a new fridge based upon promises Best Buy had made. I was on the phone for hours and hours with Best Buy corporate and the local store to get this fixed.Miracle of miracles, I got a text Wednesday night that the refrigerator would be delivered Thursday from 8-noon. Super! I called corporate to confirm, then called the local store the next morning to doubly confirm when they opened at 10. So far, so good. I waited at the location until about 11, then made another confirmation call. I was assured that the fridge was on the truck and that Id be getting a call from the driver soon. Noon came and went. Three more hours came and went while I was cooling my heels. I called the local store yet again and they finally admitted that my fridge wasnt on the truck, nor was it coming until Friday.I received a call late Thursday afternoon from Nick, the delivery driver (great guy) and was informed that my appliance would be delivered Friday between 9 and 11. It was. The delivery went smoothly and the fridge seems to work well.Bottom line: most of my Wednesday was shot, spent on hold with Best Buy corporate. Most of my Thursday was shot waiting at a vacant house (much of that time on hold with Best Buy).I dont believe that I was dealt with courteously nor honestly. I never received return phone calls when I was promised them (except by Drew in appliances). When I did speak with the store or corporate, I was given innacurate information. Sure, everyone used polite language, but courtesy would have dictated keeping me in the loop with return calls relaying correct information. I would not have wasted most of two days tracking this down.If Best Buy wants to sell online, perhaps they should take a closer look at Amazon. Ive never had anything but pain-free, seamless purchases from them.Oh, yeah, I should mention that no one from Best Buy has made an offer to adjust our purchase price for our trouble. My wife and I are beginning to search for three new major appliances for our kitchen at home. Lets do the math: both Home Depot and Lowes offer military discounts. Ive always had good experiences with both places and when theres been any kind of a snag, theyve stood on their heads to make things right. Guess where well start looking. My apologies for writing a novel. No apologies will be forthcoming from Best Buy.
Computer department sucks! Their only saving grace is their appliances department which is way better than any other appliance place. They will actually say hi to you instead of having a group of employees sitting around the corner, and they even price match it being 99 cents cheaper at Home Depot! I was about ready to go home after trying to buy a computer but decided to go look at chest freezers they had great deals and Trevor apologized profusely for the rest of the store and even helped me out with a fitbit even though that was not his department. Wish the rest was as good as the appliances part.
I have been here with various broken electronics, I have bought a computer that had problems, I have come in or called up mystified by a computer glitch. In each instance, they have taken the time to help me identify and solve my problem. Sometimes they made a sale, sometimes not, but I always felt well treated and better off than if I hadnt inquired. Every problem, they have been fair. It is a great place.
The staff is extremely helpful. It is guaranteed to find any tech product over there. However, if it is not in the store, the staff will do their best to order it for you online. Methods of payment are numerous. They do also accept international credit cards. There is a section over there for open box products. You can get whatever you want - if available in this section- with an outstanding cheap price.
This store has really got down hill. They no longer take old flat screen TVs. I had planned to buy a new one and get rid of an old one, however after driving 1:15 to this store they will not except old. After hauling the old TV back out to my car (no help offered from staff) we returned into the store to shop. The inventory was very low (Sams Club) had a better selection. Not one time while in the store did any staff offer to help answer questions. Void this store and drive to Cranberry TWP store, much better experience. Disappointed!!
The only really good tech spot in Erie. The employees dont deserve the 5 star, based on the fact they prowl on uneducated customers for a sale but ill give it 5 stars for being convenient. My personal recommendation, take a friend with you that knows about whatever product(s) youre looking for so you know if youre getting a good deal for what you need.
I don’t care what people say about BestBuy and that big box stores are going away. Technology is supposed to be touched, interacted with and enjoyed. Bestbuy offer a way to do this before purchasing. The rewards system is excellent and the on site support is great. I’ll loyal to bestbuy for everything it offers more than online retailers.Keep up the good work, keep the stores modernized and keep the services you offer. All this pushes the competition out in the dark.
The customer service was great however the process of getting a prepaid phone for my sister took longer then I spent in a actual at&t store getting a new plan with add ons. By the time we left we were there almost a hour and a half all spent at a desk buying and turning on this phone I previously had to that took me 10 minutes at home to do
I normally like best buy but this trip I was looking for a charger for my laptop and after testing that it would without a doubt work, I made it home and was very disappointed that I spent $65 dollars and it wouldnt charge. I ended up returning and found one on Amazon for about 15 dollars that worked perfectly.
I strongly dislike the salesperson approach of best buy. Not that having a associate available to help is a bad thing, but when you go to buy a computer, for example, they spend so much time trying to sell you extra stuff that its not worth the time just saying no I dont want that repeatedly.
My daughter had an appointment to have her iPhones battery replaced. An Apple representative scheduled the appointment with me and assured me Best Buys Geek Squad would fix her phone. We waited 20 minutes only to be told they dont work on phones with battery failures. Theyd have to send it away and we could get it in four weeks. Absurd.
On at least three days I called this business looking for information. As what they call an elite member I buy most of my electronic needs at their store. Despite the fact that I called at least four (4) times on each day, and picked different extensions, no one answered the phone! Its simply incredulous to believe that any reputable business, who strives to take care of their customers, would be so flippant. I called their corporate number and the lady there called them for me. Guess what, they were too busy to take the call and a week later still have not returned my call! Undaunted, I directed emails to the companys top three executives. Guess what, nothing. No kiss my grits, no well look into it, NOTHING. Draw your own conclusions as Ive already reached mine. Im not kissing anyones butt to take my money PERIOD!
Im 24, I go in and browse asking for help because I wanted to buy a computer. No employee would even help me (and they werent busy) I waited at the help desk at the computer center for 20 minutes! I just left, however I come in a few days later with my dad and they were very happy to help. So to test this I came in by myself once again and got cold shouldered and nobody in there would bother with me. My advice people. If you want service or assistance make sure you have your dad or mom or look like they can con you. I even heard an employee brag how he swindled and older gentleman on over selling a t.v that was just about to go on sale.
I have recently purchased a new iPhone, I always purchase a screen protector with my phone. This time I purchase a different brand protector, on account that the store could replace it at no extra cost when needed. Unfortunately the product was not the same quality as ZAGG that I normally purchase. I went back to the local store that I got my phone from. The person on the cell phone department (Bob) did an excellent job. Help us and went out of his way. He herd our problem, made suggestions and was very helpful. I appreciate a person that does a great job. Thank you
Great selection of all varieties of electronics. If you go there looking to build your own PC like I did, you are able to find everything you will need! It is a little confusing to find your way around so i recommend just talking to a store employee for directions as soon as you walk in or you may find yourself looking in circles.
Very disappointed in our experience there, honestly ,for the first time. Our issue was with an apple product inwhich we purchased as a replacement due to loss in our house fire . We had the receipt which clearly showed we were under manufacturers warranty. They made us jump through hoops because the serial number was not legible because of wear on felt interior of the product... once again NOT our fault. Long story short we were told we had to go to an Apple Store 2 hrs away. I sent it to my sister in NJ via USPS where she took it to her local store and it was taken care of in a timely manner. Apparently, the issue of the faded serial number on the interior of the product has been an ongoing problem inwhich the apple store employees have complaimed abt to Apple company. Weve purchased many electronics over the years from best buy but the treatment of the last visit put a bad taste in my mouth!

2022-05-11Being a Best Buy card holder and member for multiple years, I decided to buy my parents a new refrigerator on Easter because theirs needed to be replaced and the Best Buy where I live has always been phenomenal. They waited 10 days and 30 minutes after the delivery window started I received a phone call that their trucks were down and they were unable to deliver it. Their current refrigerator was already unplugged and food had to be tossed because the new delivery date was ONE WEEK later. I received NO customer service and when my mother called they were extremely rude to her. Now here we are a week later and the day of I received a text to reschedule my delivery. No phone call or anything! This is not a vacuum this is a refrigerator. The next delivery date was May 31st! Absolutely unacceptable. It took a phone call to the corporate office and my dad driving to the store himself to get it rescheduled for Friday morning. I told corporate that I am seriously considering cancelling my card and membership because of this store. I was assured that the manager would give me a call and attempt to make it right. I am still awaiting a phone call and have still not received any type of customer service and my parents have been without a refrigerator since EASTER. Oh and the refrigerator has been sitting in the store this entire time. This store will be losing a significant amount of business for the way management treats its customers. Very disappointing.

2022-01-25We were very pleased with our Verizon service there. No pressure to buy, everything was explained in detail. We left to think about the phone purchase and returned a couple hours later and signed the paperwork. We wished the phones were in stock. They are to arrive at our home in 6 days and he assured us that we would be able to transfer all the information from our old phones to the new phones.

2022-04-19Well, kinda good news bad news with my visit here. Good news, found a nice washer and dryer set(Samsung) very reasonably price i thought, even had them in stock. Bad news(if you want to call it that) once paid for it was extremely difficult to get them to bring it out front so i could load them up. A half hour at least, and once they did i had to bubble wrap and tape myself, in the wind no matter. But all in all, left satisfied.

2022-02-14The staff members here are usually not very polite. This past weekend I went in and the person helping me was extremely short with me and acted like I wasnt worth his time. He also apparently gave me incorrect information, as I reached out to another Best Buy location and was told that he was very much mistaken. I am extremely easygoing, but the way I was treated this last visit in particular was horrendous. They have been rude in the past as well, but not quite as bad. If you would like a good shopping experience, I would not recommend this particular Best Buy.

2022-06-07I am not one to shop so I immediately asked them to point me in the direction I needed. I had questions and they answered them promptly however I did have to ho find a sales associate because there was hardly anyone walking around. You can find all of your electronic needs and have to staff to assist if needed. I def would go back!

2022-04-09I Scheduled an appointment for service, because that is what the website prompted me to do. The girl that was assigned to work with me treated me like I was not worth her time and was very impatient and not polite at all. It was like she was unhappy that she was assigned to help me and unhappy that she was working there. It was a terrible experience. She didn’t even look at my laptop and just told me it wasn’t worth the trouble and to trash it. No one even asked me if I wanted to look for a new laptop or anything. I felt like I was inconveniencing everyone so I just left as fast as I could. I am a very easy going person so I didn’t want to even try to get additional help because I didn’t want to upset anyone. I just don’t want to go back there ever again. My dad needed a new computer and I was so afraid people were going to be mean and impatient with him so I took him to Staples.

2022-04-10In just the short time we were there, we were approached by 5 different employees looking to see if they could help us with anything. Everything was organized and easy to maneuver. The place was clean and the staff, super helpful and knowledgeable.

2022-06-20Ive been here twice and the females that work here are very short when speaking to me and come off as rude/rushing rather than decent customer service. You ladies need to work on that or find another job that you actually enjoy. Best of luck

2022-06-03Remains recommended brick-and-mortar place to shop for electronics. Plus had good experience recently on bestbuy.com for good laptop deal, as well as help from geek squad to resolve a few issues. Very pleased.

2022-02-23I ordered a monitor online from them during a a sale and it arrived in with mismatched cords and broken. So I took it to the store to exchange and and try again but because the sale they said Id have to pay an extra $70 if I wanted to exchange it.
