Positive: Clean comfortable room Negative: Had a problem with the toilet and it wouldnt flush (and not because of toilet paper clog) also later at night people talking right outside my door and their kids running up and down the hallway. I thought after 10 pm was quiet time? More breakfast choic
Washer last week didnt work no laundry detergent but will happily.take your money room keys will light green but door wont let you in your room. Also staff is very lazy behind the desk. Breakfast is apparently at 6:30 bc the lady cant get up till then but they advertise that its at 6am. If I worked like this Id be searching for a job
Positive: There was nothing to like about the hotel. The staff were horrible it felt like I was checking into a cheap motel Negative: Being that the maximum number of people allowed to the room are 2, the room only had one washcloth. When I asked for another one, the staff kept saying ¿no, no, no¿ . I asked if there were anymore and I felt like the only word she knew was NO
Staff was horrible and treated us disrespectfully. Asked for late check out and they denied it and then gave us an attitude. Hot tub and pool area were disgusting!! Hot tub had dead skin sludge all around it. Our bathroom tub filled up when taking a shower. I would never stay here again or recommend this place!!!!!
The hotel is short staffed. The pool was dirty. The hot tub wasnt working. The room was ok. Staff seem frustrated. We had to call down for a wash cloth. The free breakfast was frozen microwavable sandwiches and waffles and cereal. The overall stay was ok. Hotel is convenient to the mall and casino and restaurants.
Positive: Mainly clean and comfortable quick check in Negative: I assume my room wasselected when I made the booking, based on what the desk person said. I dont have a car and really dont want to carry my stuff (or use hand caddy) door didnt open on trying. Not much breakfast variety
I dont usually give negative reviews but this place should be condemned( I hope I didnt bring home Bed Bugs). Booked for a week for work but only stayed 1 night (too long). They said they were doing there annual cleaning so I had to wait for my room. When I got in my room it smelled like pesticides, the wall paper was peeling off the walls .There was drop ceiling in the bathroom and I literally had to use a towel as a Wash Cloth because they didnt have any. I could go on and on but the kicker was when I turned the light on in the AM and saw Roaches running. I packed my bags and left without checking out, called later that day to do so and the lady asked me why I didnt say something before I left....I said Im sure you already knew yall had Roaches SMH !!!
I stayed her about a month ago. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Not only was the environment sketchy to say the least the staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. They are extremely discriminatory of disabled people to the point where they tried to kick us out because of a dementia patient making noise. Instead of trying to accommodate and maybe move us down the hall she told us we had to leave. Instead of arguing we agreed that we would leave with a refund and a receipt. We had only been in the room for an hour at most. She refused to give us a receipt and said if we did not leave she would call the police. Since we were not in the wrong we decided to wait for the police. The police got there and explained to both me and the employee that it was discrimination and since we werent purposely making noise or causing a disturbance they could not legally kick us out. The police also informed us that this hotel was known for dangerous criminal activity and they usually didnt get calls like this one. We asked them to record proof that they agreed to give us a refund and they did and we asked where there was a safer place to stay. We decided it was not worth staying there and left right after the police did. It has been over a month since the and we still have not received a refund. This is sad and just shows how much they care about their customers
Make sure you get there early fot check in if you want a jacuzzi to fit 2 people! Its first come first serve with the bigger ones ! We got stuck with the smallest one ! They only have 3 jacuzzis 2 big 1 tiny ! We would be leaving, but its had weather and we will be drinking so closest to our restaurant we are going to fir uber ! Was hoping today for birthday i could have a relaxing jacuzzi with my husband, but looks like only 1 one us will be in it at a time !
As far as maintenance is concerned, my guest room was in poor condition. The the shower was quite dirty. The filth stains were clearly visible in the shower. The bathroom door was broken at the bottom. It required extra pressure to open and close it. Also, the room seemed to have a lot of dust. I was sneezing frequently during my 3 night stay.As far as my billing is concerned, I was told my King Bed Room had a reclinable mattress sofa included. It turns out the room only had a king bed in it with a chair.I was desperately looking for a hotel during the last minute for Labor Day Weekend. I definitely do not recommend this hotel!
I didnt get the name of front desk staff that helped me. She is a tall, dark skin woman, she was very nice and helpful, very pleasant, I appreciate her. The hotel is very basic, the indoor pool was a good concept but its way too tiny. It was very crowded with so many kids, and no rules, scary because of safety. Location is pretty good. The room was clean.
Poor hygiene and rooms had cigarette smell. Breakfast advertised is a bag to go. Pool did not look clean at all. Iron in room did not work and neither small refrigerator . Rooms are not clean on a daily basis. Towels and toilet paper very limited. Our stay was 3 nights and no change of sheets neither towels. Good customer service. Management please appreciate your staff and have the floors and elevator clean.
I absolutely wouldnt recommend this place for a family. I reserved 2 rooms, one for myself, my wife, and son and another for the in-laws. In-laws found womens underwear left in the room from a previous guest. Our first room key wouldnt unlock the door, so they moved us to 219. As soon as we opened the door, the odor of marijuana hits us! So, we were moved again! Rooms didnt have a very clean feeling either. We stayed away from the property as much as possible. In addition to that, I specifically asked on the phone when making reservations if the pool, hot tub, and breakfast were all open and operating normally. The guy said yes. Its the main reason I chose this particular hotel. We find out upon arrival, the pool is only open 11-7, hot tub was closed, and breakfast was grab-and-go (water, Danish, coffee, granola bar). The only positive thing about it is that its only a 20 minute drive to Citizens Bank Park.
Stayed here for two nights.. got to bring my dog which was all that mattered to me. Cheap stay, clean bed to sleep in, clean shower to use. Room smelt clean as well as appeared clean. No bugs. Only complaint is it felt humid in the room even with the AC on, it felt wet on the couches in the room.. hard to explain. Also upset the fitness center isn’t open yet. Indoor pool is open but the hot tub is closed. Bar is still closed. But not enough for me not stay here again.
My family and I stayed here for 3 nights and much improvement needed. The key cards stopped working everyday and desk personnel stated they deactivate. The pool hours stated 11-7 but they closes it one day till 1 due to shocking it. We specifically stayed here for the pool due to no vehicle certain days....so we were stuck in our room. The pool then closed again sometime after 5 due to a valve/pump issue. I was perturbed that no linens or toiletries were replaced or beds made. No signs to hang on door or anything. We had to go to the front desk multiple times to ask for things. When packing up to leave I found some dirty panties in the nightstand drawer. The only positive thing was the location near crosswalk to walk to wawa.
Great experience overall, clean rooms smoking and non-smoking rooms, outside pool but it was closed, all the amenities including mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker with coffee pouches and creamer and sugar packets, great shower and fantastic shower head. For a double queen sized bed room a little disappointed with the quanity of towels, soap, shampoo & conditioner, lotion. Otherwise great affordable place
So many things wrong with this hotel, I strongly do not recommend at all. 1. Below picture is what they served as breakfast. 2. the room was smelling of smoke even though i booked a non smoky room. 3.Their pool which we had co firmed will be available to use was suddenly no longer available. Those were the most annoying excluding the little issues with towels and bedspread🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Front desk clerk, Vivian was very nice, professional and helpful. The cleaning ladies were very nice and always said hello when passing thru the hallways. The room was very clean...my Clorox wipes picked up very little dust/ dirt.My complaints are as follows:#1. No one ever knocked on my door for room service#2. Room key wouldnt let me into the workout room... ever! Was told someone from maintenance would be there soon and they would call me about being In there.. never received a call for the 2 days I was there.... and couldnt get in the little workout room.#3. No breakfast what so eva! Not even a donut and hot coffee.... although a, continental Bfast is offered on the website and in-room flyer.#4. Side door.... doesnt work with key badge..... but all you have to do is pull on the handle... without a key and...wallah.... it opens! Amyone can get into the hotel! Not safe if youre, unprotected and have kids.Would I stay there again?? Yep! The front desk clerk, Vivian and the cleaning ladies were very nice and the room was spotless! #whatmatters
John at the front desk was very accommodating! It was a last minute booking and he accommodated our needs perfectly. The room was clean and had a sticker on the door from sanitizing. Plenty of pillows and beds were very comfortable. Everything was great. Left in a rush in the morning, saw a sign that breakfast is suspended for covid. Would stay here again, GREAT PRICE for a GREAT FACILITY!
Poor customer service. Took forever to check in. Room key machine wasn’t working. Stuck us in a clearly “smoking” room even though we requested “non-smoking”. When I requested the room I asked for I was informed that they were booked and insisted it was a non smoking room. The room stinks of smoke and the couch has cigarette burns on it. First and last stay here.
The hotel was fine. Bed was ok, room was ok, shower was ok. Didnt have any shampoo available (I forgot to bring it and ended up going to buy some). We didnt have the grab and go breakfast, but were told it was offered. The indoor pool was freezing and the outdoor pool (1 1/2 feet deep square little pool) was great for a 2 and 4 year old. Weve stayed here previously (before COVID) and it fits our needs. Close to Sesame Place which is why we go.
Dark, dingy and musty facility, tons of cobwebs in the A entrance ceiling. Both attendants I dealt with were unprofessional, room was not clean especially the bathroom but there was also trash and food containers left under the bed which I found when looking for the source of a foul smell. Yellow stains on the sheets which we didn’t notice until we were packing up to leave. They are promoting the breakfast online and in the room but if you show up there’s a sign that says there’s no breakfast due to COVID-19. My expectations weren’t incredibly high but for almost $150 per night I am extremely disappointed.
Elevator broken,.No towels no spread on the bed..no water in the room and warm refrigerator ...Horrible breakfast, no milk no syrup for waffles and when I pressed Apple juice. I GOT WATER...Never again..I want ALL my money back...but of course Mgmt wont return my phone calls...
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room had an unpleasant odor similar to a wet mop. The bathroom floor was dirty and had something slippery all over it. The drain in the shower was stopped up so we did not take a shower. The pillow cases we not clean. The window was missing a curtain, the front desk said there was no maintenance so I had to go get a sheet and hang it so no one could see in the room. To top it all off I was charged twice for the room, I reached out to the manager named Nancy Carpenter and received no apology or help. Nancy told me I should see the credit for the double charge in 3 to 5 days and said she would call me back. Its been 10 business days with no refund. I called her again, no answer left a message still nothing. I called the corporate office and filed a complaint 1 day later Nancy calls me, still no apology and gave me the same response I received 10 days ago that I should see the credit in 3-5 days. I already disputed the charge with the bank. You could not pay me to stay in this hotel again.
I don’t recommend this hotel at all.Room had so many issues. Door handle broke off door and had to call front desk twice to let us out. Everything in the bathroom needs replacing and was practically broken. Air conditioner leaked water. To go breakfast isn’t worth it. Also anyone can just walk in any of the doors you don’t need your room key which doesn’t make me feel very safe. Horrible stay and will not return
I dont write reviews unless the place is outstanding or horrible and this Id the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at. I travel a lot visiting my Military boys so I frequent the Best Western Hotels often and this one is not at all worth the money or going to. The clothes rack was coming off, bathroom ventilator was broke, and no breakfast as advertised. . The room was horrible no more than a 60.00 room and the security door at entrance C was broke. Very disappointing.
I stayed here in Nov. Of 2020 & I Loved it, quick & simple check-in process. I was given my keys & left to do me! The room was well-kept & cleaned as is, but to be cautious, I brought my own disinfectant spray to give it an extra wipe down. Hubby was highly impressed for his birthday night with a surprise stay. The hot tub was everything🙌 Just place some flameless candles and hop in & relax or Etc. Very relaxing stay.
I am still waiting on a call from the general manager after leaving a voicemail and a message with staff at the beginning of this week to discuss the room my mother was left in that had an air conditioner that leaked all over the floor and smelled of mildew. She lost her voice and felt sick while staying there and as soon as she returned home immediately began feeling better. No one offered to move her until Saturday when she checked in Thursday, complained Friday and was checking out Sunday at 11am. We used this hotel room for her and my brother to stay for our wedding as well as for our groomsmen to get ready the day of. Clearly the people running this place don’t care about their business 🤷🏼♀️
We stayed here years ago, and I was actually impressed with it then. This time, very disappointed. It is more run down then it used to be. #1, our TV didnt work in the first room we were in. The front desk staff was on top of it right away and switched us to another room. Then, I go to connect to the WIFI, the wifi signal was so low- none of our devices could connect to it. So, if you are hoping to work while there- you cannot. Even my daughter couldnt use her ipad, we had to connect to my phones hot spot and use my data. The door that leads into the building where you need your key card to get in, doesnt close all the way- so anybody can come in. Light in the hallway flickering the entire time. Pool was closed. The air conditioner did not work well. There was handprints on the headboard, there was only decaf coffee ???? The bathroom was so small that if you sat on the toilet, you couldnt close the door HAH. The first room we were in smelled very musty, the second room was a bit better. Did not feel safe outside at night. For what they charged, i would expect way better. I feel as if paying $150 a night was a total scam, was worth $60 at best. The rest of the room was clean, so that was a positive. I guess. Def wont be staying again, unfortunately.
Positive: nothing Negative: Front desk never answered the phone, wrong room upon arrival, room smelled of cigarettes, floors were sticky, room was dirty, no blankets, no breakfast as the hotel said on the website. I was moved to 3 different rooms that were all horrible.
I want to start by saying the employees were very nice and helpful but thats all this place has going for them. If you like missingnightstand drawers, broken furniture, dirty showers, broken toilets, walls that are so wet they are bubbling, no security doors, dirty walls, cigarette ash all over the floor and counter along with false advertisements (no breakfast) then this is the place for you!!! Also, trying to make a complaint to Best Western is seemingly impossible!! I would rather have slept in my car than in this dump. I had to sleep with a hoodie, pants and socks so I could feel comfortable enough to go to sleep. Will never visit another best Western based off this visit.
This place was HORRIBLE!! I would not recommend anyone stay here, there was mold in the bathroom of the first room we received it smelled of mold and there was a hole in the wall. We received a new room that also smelled of mold and mildew, the bathroom shower was so nasty I didn’t want to bath my kids, I made them take showers. There is RUST EVERYWHERE!!! I hated it and could not wait to leave….as well as the staff 🙄🤬I wish I would have demanded some of my money back.
This was nightmare. First night, as I exited side door, that was constantly unlocked. Someone throws deck of card off 2nd Fl. lobby at me and I guess ran. Reported to desk. No feedback on looking at video. The next morning something was thrown on my car. That still wont come off. The desk clerk told me suite I was in was new suite. During night, used bathroom. Slipped on the slipperiest tile right outside bathroom, directly on my back. Went to ER. Is this just spot drug transactions take place?
The amazing hot breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles and pancakes along with breads, bagels and English muffins makes this our top choice when traveling to the Philadelphia area. They also have several juices, cereals and yogurt. Rosa has always been there cooking and helping with whatever you need, always so friendly and sweet. The lobby is very nice but the hallways could use updating. Our rooms have always been clean, housekeeping service top notch. Beds are clean and a little firm for my tastes, but definitely better than a saggy old mattress. The in room mini fridge and microwave are extremely helpful for keeping and reheating leftovers while were traveling.
Positive: Nothing Negative: Rooms are not clean, no microwave, tv control remote not working and when I ask the front person she was rude and said I don¿t have another one and that was her problem if work or not. I do check in at 5 pm and the pool close at 7 and Sunday closed
My kids and I stayed here. Great for the hole family. The staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean. Matt the manager was a great help when I wanted to extend my stay. Everyone hear has a great personality and sense of humor. They have all you can eat breakfast, with eggs, potatoes, waffle maker, bagels, cereal. I had a great time when I was here. If you going to stay in the area come here first. They also have a indoor pool....
I don’t have anything nice to say about this hotel not only did we find 2 roaches in our room when I went to take a shower it was hair in it as if the bathroom wasn’t cleaned by housekeeping, only one bed had a blank on it the other one only had sheets the lady at the front desk was always on her cell phone and loud, the keys to our room worked once and we had to get new ones . The only good thing about this hotel is the Dunkin’ Donuts next to it
Nice pool and jacuzzi. Decent breakfast but no homemade oatmeal, just packets. No privacy curtain on window in first floor room. Rug and floors felt sticky. Shower water pressure low and wide shower head is very close to wall only adjustable left and right, not up and down so you have to stay close to wall to get wet. Was impressed with tv remote inside a bag. I read that it is the least cleaned item in a hotel room usually. I liked the nature sound settings on the alarm clock radio. Had to pull room door to lock it. Most hotel doors close on their own. Good value for price at just under $100.
My room key card got deactivated prior to my checkout time, leaving me and my guest stranded outside in the rain. Banging on the door looking for quick assistance, a lady apart of the cleaning staff (based on her uniform) happen to walk by, didnt even bother to stop and question us. She made eye contact and continued to just walk right by us. If it wasnt for a defective door further down the side of the building wed of been stuck with a longer walk to the lobby. There was only 1 working ice machine. The front desk thru various interactions was rude each time.Would I stay again? Sure, depending on the circumstance. But if a deal is within 20-30 bucks of this price, Ill pay the 20-30 more -all day every day
Not only was there no breakfast like the website says and the paper in the room but pool times changed and they did not inform guest so I went at the time the paper said in my room just to get me and a toddler dress to get there and it be closed. Smfh u no how hard it is to pull a toddler away from a pool worst ever on top of the broken lock and no phone in the room
Positive: Absolutely nothing wouldnt recommend to anyone they accused me of smoking and took 1000 dollars from me and wont issue a refund I never smoked in the room and they say I trashed the room I ever did one bad thing in that room they will Rob you and lie Negative: They will make sure up lies and steal your money without you knowing it they got me for a thousand dollars over lies they started to kick me out and rib my money after I paid not even ten minutes after Im getting told to leave and that my money is gone
The cooling unit did not work, leading to an uncomfortable stay. The entire entryway floor as well as spots on the carpet were sticky. The sofa had several stains that were clearly old. Used to stay at this property frequently up until 2 years ago, and it was clear during my recent stay there has been no effort to update anything or even make sure the rooms and furniture are clean. Its unfortunate because it used to be a great bargain for a clean, comfortable room. I will NOT being staying here again.
I loved this hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. I stayed in the whirlpool suite for 2 nights and it came with all the towels and rags I could have needed. They serve free breakfast every morning and there is a restaurant that opens later in the day for your lunch/ dinner needs. The gym is small and really only has weights and dated equipment. The indoor pool is an okay size if there isnt too many people in it. The hot tub was great tho. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because they say they have an outdoor pool but its only a one foot kiddie pool. I was disappointed about that. On the upside, they have multiple entrances that you can use and park next to to be closer to your room. I would stay here again.
We recently traveled for a funeral with two adults and two kids. This was not a fun trip. The staff at this Best Western were so nice. Starting with the reservation call, the breakfast staff, housekeeping and checkout. Breakfast was nice - ready early, hot and well stocked with an attendant hustling around to help. The pool was very nice for a hotel this size. It was nice to have free parking in the City. This was an exceptional value. I hope to come back under better circumstances. Thank you.
I thought it was gonna be good was the from. the 29th of May to the 1st of June was told the pool was gonna be open it was not had to.get about 6 different keys cause everyone they gave didnt work the slide lock on the door was busted off there were ashes behind the bed the rug going up the hallway was soaked almost fell going ojtside cause it was so slippery noone was wearing masks going through the hallways and there was continually the smell of weed in the hallways no comforters in the room at all and ehen asked for some they only gave one so I went without one the whole time
Trash. We are in the middle of a pandemic where you cannot enter any public place in PA without a mask, and the front desk agent didnt have one on. Hallways smelled of marijuana and lights were flickering. Disinfected the room myself and still felt dirty afterwards. AC in room barely functioned on full blast, had to stand a foot in front of it to feel any air. Let it run for 2 hours and the room was still not cool, it was about 80 degrees outside at 9PM at night. Toilet also would not flush normally and was stopped up when I didnt even use it. Switched rooms but the second one was the same as the first.
Entering my room a roach was running on the toilet. Should not be in a clean room but can happen as a mean. On the front desk there was no discussion to get an other room. Breakfast was good and the lady taking care there was very helpfull and for sure the good heart of the hotel.
Overall this place was just fine. The staff was pleasant and professional enough with the exception of the continental breakfast crew who seemed very grumpy that a few people were rushing to try and get some breakfast before they could close.Indoor pool was nice, room was quiet enough and good sized for our needs. There were a few unmentionable stains on the couch and something stuck to the wall by the bed that I can only guess what it was, I wasnt going to investigate. The towel rack in the bathroom came off the wall in my wifes hand when she attempted to grab a towel off it. It appeared as though one of the screws had just been stuck through the wallpaper with nothing to grab onto.Id stay here again, the price was very reasonable and aside from those two minor things there was nothing wrong with the place.
This is a very clean and comfortable place to stay. They have a beautiful bar and lounge area in a great pool. They have done some upgrades to the decor and are continuing to revamp. If you are in the Philadelphia area I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. They go out of their way to make sure their customers are comfortable and happy.
Horrible!!!!!Lobby looks nice but the room I checked in was horrible!Bathtub was not clean, toilet flush was not working, tile ceiling was full of water and looked like it was about to fall! I requested another room, the lady at the desk seemed very annoyed but gave me another room which smelled horrible, no phone, sheets on the bed were STAINED , room was full of dust yet the receptionist claimed that the room was disinfected, toilet was not flushing !! I was very disappointed, I checked out earlier than I needed to ! NEVER AGAIN BEST WESTERN!
The rooms are great. I stayed in a room with a King Sized bed and in the room was a nice size mini fridge that easily fit two six packs of the mini Fiji waters. There was a microwave and of course coffee maker in the room. The downside was that the hallways had an unusual odor to them. Perhaps the carpets were in the process of being cleaned or perhaps it was due to some unforeseen issue that I am not aware of.The front desk staff were very nice and professional and provided me with a quick and easy check in and check out.
My sister reserved two adjoined rooms for her family (2 adults, 2 children) and mine (2 adults, 2 children). When we checked in, we were told there was no history of this adjoined request, even though my sister had confirmed this through a phone call prior. We were given rooms across the hall from each other. Not the end of the world, but already a bad experience because it takes away from the children running freely and our ability to have more open space. Our TV only turned on, and had volume work, you could not change the channel. Again, not terrible since we didnt plan on watching much TV. The tub plug did not work, so giving the kids a bath was a challenge. The first morning, we noticed that the toggle switch that changes the water output from shower to tub and vice versa was completely missing. This means, that the hotel knowingly rented out a room that did not even have an option to shower. How this can be allowed is beyond me. I rented a room for 3 nights with my wife and 2 children, and did not have an option to shower. I went immediately to the front desk and was told that they were completely booked and there was nothing that could be done. The next offer I was given was unreal. The front desk told me I could use one of the recently-checked-out rooms showers if I wanted to, but the cleaning service had not yet cleaned them. I was literally told I could use a dirty shower. I am not someone who is outraged easily, but the fact that this option came out of an employees mouth is crazy. After turning down this option, I was not given any other option. I wasnt offered a refund, discount or even a relocation to a sister hotel. They called over the maintenance guy and told him to go to my room to see if he could fix it. I was then told that if he didnt show up in 5 minutes, that I should come back down here and tell the front desk. So now I am being asked to manage the maintenance staff rather than the front desk personally handling the resolution. Needless to say, this maintenance man never showed up. I went back and explained my situation to my sister and her husband, since they technically made the reservations. My brother in law went to the front desk and demanded we both be moved to adjoining rooms. We were leaving for Sesame Place for the day, and would be back around 3. We were then told this is possible, but it somehow wasnt 15 minutes ago. After being told this was going to happen, I specifically said when we say adjoining rooms, we mean rooms that are adjacent and can a pass-through door connecting each other, not across the hall. We were assured this was possible. We get back to the hotel around 3pm and are told that we have adjoining rooms, but one will not be a king + pullout which is what we both had before. Again, not horrible but also not what we asked for or had reserved. We said fine because we did not have any patience at this point. So we pack up all our stuff, check out, and go to check into our new rooms. Of course, the rooms are not adjoined, but again across the hall from each other. We walk straight downstairs back to the front desk and explain what they did wrong again. We are then finally given rooms that are adjoined. They updated our key cards and we unpacked everything again in our new rooms. Of course, my key card did not work and I was able to get in through the inner door. I went back downstairs and they figured out they had coded my key card for the old room and not my new room. Look, I get it. This hotel is going to be sold out and have business throughout the year simply due to its proximity to Sesame Place. So I can see why managers and the owner might not care about upkeep or customer experience. There were 100 broken things in this place, it was crazy. When I say everything throughout the hotel was broken, on its last leg or out of service, I mean it
This is one of our favorite hotels, Id put it in the utilitarian category. Utilitarian because its not a vacation/ romantic getaway/ holiday place. Right off of the turnpike and a 30 second drive from the casino, its easy and convenient to everything north of Philadelphia. The staff is top notch, friendly, and available. Everything is above expectation, nothing lets you down, weve had a few nice, firm mattresses and slept very well. The rooms are clean enough, everything is working, parking is abundant and safe. Price is very reasonable, a solid 8.0 gem, just dont arrive expecting a 10 and youll enjoy your stay.
Family had to leave early. Pool room was nice but reeked of chlorine and made our eyes burn, outdoor pool was small and only 1ft deep, key worked randomly, bathroom door and closet wouldnt close properly, no ice on first floor, faucet was loose, mini fridge in room did not work well, and the Internet never worked. Room was neat and clean upon arrival however.
Mixed review. Some good. Some bad and need improvements.1. Original assigned room on the ground floor by door C had bad odor and noisy neighbors (dog across the hallway left alone in the room barking all day). Reassigned to room 215. Better room, no odor, and much quieter. Staff was quick to provide alternate room. Thank you.2. Printer in business center did not work. Had to ask front desk for printouts. Again, staff was quick to provide technical support. Thank you.3. We stayed for 2 nights. No maid service after the first night. When we returned to the room late the next day, we could only ask for fresh towels at that point. Not maid service was possible that late.4. Internet did not work in room 215.5. Fitness center door locked. Keycard did not open the door to fitness center. Brought attention to the front desk, but it did not work. The door was still locked and unaccessible.
They had a really great hot breakfast waiting for you in the morning for checkout. Although the pools were slightly small they definitely had a really great Whirlpool / jacuzzi that made up for it. Those Jets definitely helps to loosen up Tight muscles in my back. The rooms were nice and clean as well as the bathroom and the check-in was really quick along with front desk agents being polite and kind.
Worst experience in a Best Western Plus hotel ever. Was told upon check in that I would be charged $25 for things that we broke during our stay. I objected, but did not receive any resolution. Hotel is very, very outdated to say the least. Lobby furniture and appearance was terrible. Room had a bad odor. Breakfast was below standard expected and received at other Best Western hotels. When I told the manager about my experience at check in...she told me that she was going to fire the front desk clerk who helped us. I do not think this was appropriate at all. I have no business knowing about her management style, nor do I wish to know. Overall, do NOT stay here...find another hotel in the area...even if it is not a Best Western. Hopefully, the powers that be in the Best Western program will reconsider allowing this hotel to be branded as Best Western Plus. Or, insist that the facility be remodeled, and brought up to the standards that is expected. I would not want my brand name on this hotel.
Well lets just say it was one of the worst hotels Ive stayed in. Although the personnel where good the condition of the rooms left a lot to be desiredfrom one room nothing working,to the next room smelling so bad that my eyes were tearing after an hour, and if that wasnt enought in the last room they put me in I woke up to seeing roaches on the bed next to me.I have no intention of ever going back
This hotel was ok. It could definitely use some serious sanitizing. The elevator smelled like a project elevator full of urine. The rooms and bedding were not the cleanest ever either. Lucky for me I travel with a bottle of Tilex and Clorox bleach. The bathrooms could be cleaner as well. I give it four stars because the staff was nice, my family enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the fact that the pool accommodates smaller children.
Amazing Staff from the Hotels Manager..The gracious and helpful Concierge...the Chef cooking a REAL breakfast full of variety of tastes to choose from...to the VERY detailed and attentive Houskeeping staff. This hotel runs better than most all.Not outrageously expensive... Contemporary in style spacious... nice and clean rooms with comfortable beds and even more comfortable pillows!!The pool is indoors and big as well as the 8 person jacuzzi both were wonderful😁Would recommend to anyone and everyone!!!
The stay was comfortable and good overall. No issues, the breakfast was decent. Rooms were clean. It us located in very accessible are with lot of restaurants around. The layout of the motel is not the best, it is okay for me but my colleague has leg injury and it was not easy for him to do long walks. Overall good and comfortable.
Toilet kept backing up. Dingy outdated rooms. Took $200 deposit and $250 deposit that have not been returned a month after I checked out. Staff is disrespectful and rude and unhelpful. Pool and jacuzzi dirty. Tiny and filthy bathrooms. Breakfast isn’t that great kept running out of bagels and juice and cream cheese and jam. Soggy homogenized eggs and stale potatoes. Go across the street. Better rooms and breakfast and bathrooms and no crazy deposit that never gets returned.
Best Western staff is very accommodating and eager to help. We stayed here due to an issue at our house. We were greeted when we walked in, offered a free drink at their bar too! We had an issue with the toilet, and their staff came right away. They resolved the issue very fast. We needed extra trash bags and their housekeeping staff gave us extra bag right away. The breakfast in the morning has a little bit for everyone. Bacon, potatoes, eggs, bread, fruit, cereal, pancakes, etc. Something for everyone.
We had to switch rooms because the A/C in the room was broken. Called the front desk to ask for extra towels & was told to come get them from the front desk myself. The WiFi is garbage & spotty. With covid going on, we understand certain amenities arent available which is fine. Spending about $235 for two nights for AC, a bed, and wifi we cant even use? Would never do again.
I travel quite a bit and the Best Western is normally one of my favorite places to stay, so when I saw that this one had rooms available I didnt hesitate to reserve two of them for our vacation. When we arrived the first thing I noticed was the hypodermic needles on the ground in the parking area, then there was the broken shower and the completely below average breakfast. I could go on and on but I think it will be safe to say that I will never stay here again and highly recommend you to find another hotel to stay in while you are in this area.
Staff were all friendly and helpful even though most services did not exist due to COVID. A lot of crime here and side door was open 24/7 so anyone could come and go. Very loud people here after midnight, violent fights in the parking lot, police showed up to arrest a person while I was here on a job assignment for two weeks. Strong smell of marijuana in halls, black mold in bathroom, toilet leaked. DO NOT STAY HERE as this is an unsafe hotel.
My room had an old smashed up snixkers by the bed hoise keeper need to do a bettyer job when ot come to cleaning..wipe base boards..headboards and vacuum every corner...when i sat on the other bed n my room i almost fell it was weirdly loose or broken when i sat down the top of the bed lifted up
The front desk manager is outstanding!! Reservations gave me a confirmation number. When I arrived, there were not any rooms. The front desk manager asked me to have patience, gave me drink tickets for the lounge, and told me she would make a room available within 30 minutes. She did it in 15 min. The room was clean and lovely. Well done!!
I went with 3 of my friends for 3 days in August 2021.Before going I had called them to find out what kind of protocols they follow for covid. They said business as usual. When We checked in, the rooms were not clean and also they would not come n clean the roomsthru out our stay due to covid contrary to what they told me over the phone.. Bath tub tap was not able to close and water would overflow, when I called them, they knew the problem and came with a new washer for the tap.So until we call them, they wont come even though they knew the problem. So so disappointed n will advise those of you planning to stay, think about it.My stay in Best western was so bad.
My husband and I spent a weekend there. When we checked in the girl that checked us in was very nice and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was okay. Rooms need to be updated, back door of the building would not lock, at any time anyone can walk into the hotel, ice machines did not work on either floor, pillows on beds were very small and hard.
It was super fun and awesome except that in the morning, the front desk people said that they had run out of towels! 😡 What kind of hotel runs out of towels?! 😡 And they said that they couldnt get any new ones until the cleaning staff came in at 9 am. 🙄Other than that it was AWESOME!😁
My daughter had a hotel party here and she enjoyed it! She just wanted the pool and the hot tub hours to last a little longer, but other than that, she enjoyed it! I recommend this for anyone who comes with a large group of people. They didnt ask any questions regarding our large group. Just make sure you are courteous of the noise level.
Excellent personnel here, gracious, attentive and detail oriented. Breakfast is awesome, but ribs place is closed. However hot tub at the pool was full of foam 2 days in a row, and pool also looked dirty, did not see any water moving -wonder if filter or pump was broken. During our stay the room above leaked and flooded ours, and we were moved to another comparable room.
The hotel upon arrival is clean and the gentlemen at the desk are great. Breakfast was great! Spotless and all hot food hot, pool is wonderful and clean! Room is Big and comfortable.Very enjoyable , highly recommend. Only lady who worked the front desk was rude. No one else.Good rate for what they offer.
I was staying at the Holiday Inn in Bensalem which upon check in told me they had no hot water. I was not in a position to switch hotels last minute. When I reached out to Best Western they were extremely helpful and welcoming. The woman who manages the breakfast area was extremely friendly and warm. Due to bad weather there was the possibility I would have to stay an extra day - they reduced my price for the extra night but when I decided to leave instead at the last minute (everything had cleared up and it was safe to travel), they didn’t charge me for a late checkout or the extra night I had previously arranged with them. They were WAY more accommodating than the Holiday Inn and I’d definitely recommend someone to stay there.
Best Western shared a great room with us during a stormy time of year.We appreciate their vacancy and thought we would just get by.But the room was great and so was the breakfast. They didnt jack their prices up just because of the storm going on as other hotels in the area did.We plan to stay at Best Western next time we get a chance.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was tasty. However, the room was oddly humid and the wall AC unit didn’t seem to do anything to help with the humidity. The biggest fault was when the smoke detector started chirping before 7am. Two calls to guest services got no help. We finally abandoned the room at 8:30.
This place was dirty, noisy and in general disrepair. The bathroom had a dirty wash cloth on the floor when we arrived and the sink had something that looked like old dried on vomit on the inside where the overflow is located. The bathroom faucet was barely attached to the sink. The room smelled of a strong deodorizer and the tv remote barely worked. The heater would not turn off so it was boiling in the room when it was on and when we turned it off it was freezing. Turning the temperature down didnt work. Also the hallway was freezing...unheated when it was 30 degrees outside. Breakfast was poor but the breakfast staff was nice. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to others unless youre in a real bond.
Located conveniently between the Neshaminy Mall and Philadelphia Mills. The room was impeccably clean. Great service by the staff, including front desk and maintenance. In the shower there was a way to control the water pressure, which I thought was cool. Its saying much that the only issue I had was the towels were very hard.
HEY EVERYONE, IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND ARE PLANNING ON STAYING ON THIS BESTWESTERN PLUS LOCATED AT THIS LOCATION , DOUBLE THINK ABOUT IT( specially if you have kids ) , AS I KNOW ALOT OF FAMILIES ARE SEARCHING A PLACE TO STAY TO GO TO SESAME STREET THEME PARK , on our experience at this 2 Floor hotel , 1) Hall way smelled like cigarettes, 2) The room Key stopped working , we had to swipe the key on the door multiple times to open. 3) Rooms are not updated , 4) All Drawers are old 5) Rooms are really dusty 6) We saw roaches 🪳 7) Ceilings are cracked or have water yellow stains like if they have a leaking problem , 8) Some room doors are hard to open 9) Housekeeping don’t clean rooms until you check out they don’t even offer you toilet paper , shampoo , Soap etc …. When we first went in the bathroom there was only one small towel and 10) Room was super dusty I had to clean and disinfect the room myself , Small fridge was dirty on every corners and edges 11) desk phone ☎️ was broken , Rug from the room are really dirty , PleAse know that do to COVID they are not serving breakfast ( the front desk lady told a guest that their will be breakfast from 7am-10am and the next day the dinning area had a sign that said it was closed) Everything is Close like the pool area, the Gym area is also close, they don’t have a playroom like they say (they only have an old Pac-Man machine that’s at the laundry area and it’s always off , laundry area is dirty , floor is soaked and wet , this BESTWESTERN could do better is located in a quite area , 15min away from Sesame Street !!!! It needs lots of renovations …. ALSO I USED THE BLOWER AND BOOM ALL LIGHTS FROM THE ROOM WENT OFF ((I had to wait about 10-15min for it to come back))…. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU HAVE KIDS DO NOT TAKE THEM THERE , SANITATION HAS TO BE #1 PRIORITY, BY THE WAY SOMETHING THAT IMPRESS ME OTHER THAN ALL THIS IS THAT THERE WERE NO HAND SANITIZER AT THE ENTRANCE LIKE OTHER PLACES !!!
When I checked in they insisted to photocopy my drivers license. When I pushed back they told me it was state law, Pennsylvania. Which after checking, it is not a state law. So why do it if the customer doesn’t want it copied? And why lie about it?Then on the way to my room, it was dark and dirty in the hallways. The room doors needed painted. The room smelled musty, was humid and I could not locate a thermostat. When I took my flip flops off, the carpet was damp.I noticed several rooms had doors open, with people going in and out often. It didn’t look or feel right. I left and drove down the street to CY Marriott. They were booked. I was able to get one of the last 3 rooms at the Holiday Inn Bensalem.
Wanted to take my kids for a mini get away & regret spending money here.. I made reservations over the phone & got one price when we got there they’re computers were down & they couldn’t find my reservations and over charged me they then placed us in a room that wasn’t cleaned from the previous people who stayed there and it was filthy they had to give us another room.. The next day when we got in the pool the pool looked so dirty and green after we left the pool all of the hotel keys didn’t work and they made me walk with all of my kids soaked to the front to get another key where the manger was so ignorant towards me in front of my children… WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!
Stayed here overnight while visiting sesame place. Hotel is very oddly layed out with an A side and a B side. Room was mostly clean but after the antiseptic smell wore away a slight moldy smell came. it was not overwhelming or a deal breaker. The wife and child enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was included and it was very good. I would stay here again if I could get a room closer to the entrance.
We have stayed at many Best Western Plus hotels in the past and I dont understand how they earned the designation of Plus. Check-in was quick but I didnt realize until I was walking to my room that I received no info from the agent about the hours of the pool or breakfast or where they were even located. Upon arrival in our room there were absolutely no towels, the bathroom was not too clean, the bathtub took 30 minutes to drain after a shower (there were 4 of us, so this was very inconvenient), and on the last day the toilet wouldnt flush properly. We were there 2 nights, in the first morning housekeeping slipped a note under our door that they didnt clean our room because we requested privacy, which we did not. The pool is not salt water as claimed, our eyes were burning from the chlorine. I dont know if its a lack of proper ventilation or over-chlorination, but it was hard to stay in the area for long periods of time. The breakfast area was clean with most of the choices I have seen at Best Westerns in the past, however they dont have a real coffee. The staff was very quick to respond when we told them we didnt have any towels and about the issue with the toilet which is why I still gave 2 stars.
Ive stayed here before and had a great time. But my last visit was pure hell. The chlorine levels of the pool were unbearable to swim in. The kids all got out and explained it was too strong and they all were coughing with blood shot eyes and only was in the pool for less the 10 minutes. They gave me a hard time about my refund after they said I would get my money back. They swiped my card 3 times and wiped out my account. I spoke to 4 different people to have this rectified. The manager Nancy called me but never called me bk with a resolution. No one else did anything either. They wiped my account clean and it was in the negative status. I was very uoset and disappointed with their professionalism and conduct. It was a complete disgrace and I hope this doesnt happen to anyone ever. My bank handled the money portion but they accommodate us for all the hassle they put me through.
This Best Western Plus in Philadelphia PA..was a wonderful place, clean, excellent service, especially The receptionist Karen was the most courteous, kind,so helpful Because of her and my experience with Karen I would and will come back again.. Thank-you Karen so much.. see you soon The Pool was great too!!
We had out of town guests who arrived earlier than expected for a funeral of two close friends. They allowed us to check in early, otherwise we would have had to find something to do for several hours, with young children in tow that wouldnt have been an easy thing to do. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
Dont waste your money coming to this hotel. It has been a nightmare from the start. The front desk staff are probably the most unhelpful and disrespectful bunch of people that Ive encountered in quite some time. Trying to get our two rooms next to one another was literally.a three and a half hour event. And this is after I called over a week in advance to make the request that they be blocked off as such. The plumbing here is in desperate need of repair. As I first attempted to check in another guest asked to see a manager as their bathroom flooded the night before. I didnt think anything of it until we got to our one room (because the other wasnt ready) and the toilet did not work. Hiked back to the front desk to alert them and stood and waited while four people argued about whether to call maintenance or just move our room. The solution was to send maintenance to fix the toilet while we sat in our room and awkwardly watched TV with them running in and our for an hour. After a few hours we tried to ask if our second room was ready and they tried to assign us a second room on the other side of the hotel. For the third time I had to ask for rooms that were either next to one another or adjoining. The first was upon booking, the second a phone call a week in advance. To this I get eye roll and irritated sighs. After explaining that Im traveling with me three kids and that assigning them a room far from mine is going to be a problem to they pull out a map of the rooms to finally try and get rooms together. Ive dont think Ive ever encountered such rude behavior from service industry employees before. I could go on, but I wont. Other issues at the hotel include broken door locks at the back entrance. So anyone can enter the building, not just guests with keys. The public restroom outside of the pool has no working lock on the door. And for the continental breakfast, well Id recommend staying away from the hot foods. Supposedly hot foods. Ive never tried cold scrambled eggs before, these had actually tasted as though they just came out of a cooler. I didnt try the bacon, and the wedge potatoes were at room temperature. I wish there was one good thing I could say about this place but I cannot even think of one thing. Im so disappointed, we will not be returning here.
Booked here for the indoor pool but unfortunately the hotel employees 4 very young children were left there unattended. Front desk employee was apparently aware and did not address or the issue or even apologize. The walk to my room from front desk was the equivalent of 1.5 city blocks which wouldnt have been a big issue if the key worked consistently. And NO, I did NOT put it near a credit card!!!
We just stayed here for our vacation to Sesame Place. Everything was great (friendly staff, decent room with all movie channels), kids loved the pool, full hot bkfast with make your own waffles, easy access to local restaurants. The only negative was that the room felt a little damp, most likely due to the humidity. But we would def stay here again.
Tom is thee best manager if you have any problems let management know ASAP. Tom customer service skills was the best. He goes over n beyond the rule of the making the customer happy. My family and I will be returning again soon and thank you Tom for your excellent customer service. Also the rooms are extra clean and the maintenance and housekeeping staff makes you very comfortable. My children enjoyed the indoor pool. 😊
I would give this place a 0 star review if I could. The hotel is going thru renovation and I think they need to close down to do such. The staff is great but the rooms SUCK. The door you have to strong shoulder it to open them, the beds are hard , the showers dont work correctly, and the sheets are hard and scratchy. The hall way smells of weed, floors are dirty and VERY outdated. Best of all the fire alarm light blinked on and off all night as if it were telling a deaf person there is a fire in the hotel. They tried to give us a room with it blinking inside the room as well.. DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL!!!!!
The place was clean the ppl was awesome but my reason for staying there was to get out the heat me and my family work and travel we had been working for 16 hours then drove here 7 hours in the heat just to have the AC stop working around 6 oclock if I would of called and said something they would of asked us to move to another room we had two rooms to tried to try and move so I slept with a sheet in a puddle of sweat for 140$ had to get kings cause they had no other rooms I hope they fix the AC or the poor next ppl
The staff was very pleasant assisting their client. In which I was impressed. Afterward, They assist me with my current interview for a housekeeping position by josefina. Very pleasant lady. I must say!. Shes very professional and helpful with the job description consistent of, there rating requirements and there work schedule. My personal opinion this is where I would love to work. Enjoy being around positive energy at all time. Although housekeeping position was not the right fit for me. Im overly qualified! but Its always wonderful to experience the respect and professionalism from employers as outsider looking in
A quality mid-price hotel that is good for families and convenient to many local attractions. We stayed here after a visit to Sesame Place. The breakfast staff were excellent, very friendly, helpful, and attentive. We did experience some issues, but nothing too major. I would stay here again the next time we are in Philly.
Although the bathroom tub seem to be a little outdated, it was clean. Cleanliness is huge to me as Ive already been to hotels were there still hair clinging to the walls of the shower. Everything seemed clean oh, and the breakfast was very decent. Waffles, pancakes, fruit, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, potatoes, bread, bagels, toppings for the oatmeal and bread. They also had a yogurt machine but it was not working. But things break so thats understandable.
It needs work on structure.Room doors are very hard to open.Exterior door has door key lock that doesnt work.Rear parking area is over grown with trees and brush. My reservation was made by the company i work for. When i went to check in, they said i had no reservations. Took 30 minutes to get it right. Hotel Lost the paperwork. Lighting in room is very dim. The outlets in the room font work. Not my Choice of places to stay
During my visit. I stayed for one day. New years eve. The fire alarm kept going off. The alarm went off maybe 8 to 10 times since I arrived. During check out I was over charge for an extra $50 for one of my rooms. I booked the room in advance... I booked 6 rooms and one of the room was over charge. I spoke to the manager she apology and said she would fix the over charge. It never was fixed. I will not advise anyone to go here.
If I could give it zero stars I really would. The faucet was broken and so was the toilet seat but we figured oh well no big deal. The whole placed smelled like cigarettes and sometimes marijuana. At all hours of the night you can hear kids running and screaming up and down the hall way. They do not monitor the pool and of course that means there are little kids bullying others and pushing them and cussing out all the adults and children. Make a complaint right? I did, and let me tell you the gentleman and the front desk couldnt have cared less. He told me dont worry Im closing the pool shortly and mind you, it was at 10:15 PM when I spoke with him. It is now 11:00PM and you can still hear them screaming in the pool and running up and down the hallways. (Our room is righ across the hall from the pool) I have never in my entire life been so disappointed in an establishment like this. It is ridiculous that at 2AM youre still hearing screaming and running all over the entire hotel. Honestly, even if you paid me I will never, ever come back here again! The only good thing about this place was that they had good breakfast. Thats it. Neverrrr
Worst hotel experience ever!!! Over booked my room twice over the weekend. Two guests trying to get into my room they were given at check in.Two men walking into peoples rooms stealing stuff. We got 1 guy and brought to front desk. Staff REFUSED to call police. We had had to call police on our own and restrain the guy until cops came and arrested him. This was the worst hotel staff and most miserable I had ever seen. I stay at a lot of BW hotels, but I do t think I will be ever again because of this 1 hotel experience. Time to find another hotel chain.
Forget the normal 5 Star rating system. It is unreliable. Of course a $300 night room is better than a $100 per night room. The rating system should match hotel room based upon the prices of the rooms. Compare a $50 night room to a $50 night room as so forth. The current system compares apples to oranges! OK,, so,, based upon price point, this hotel is a 5 Star easily.. Large room,, very clean,, wonderfully accommodating Staff,,, a Breakfast well worth enjoying!!!! I have visited Bensalem numerous times over the years and have never stayed twice at the same hotel,, that change now,, from now,, I shall stay here!!
Some staff is friendly. Ive been coming here with my family for years. I was in rooms 223 and 225 carpet was falling apart. Both rooms had a weird smell that was making my daughter nauseous. Shower pressure in room 225 was terrible. We woke up late and ask the front desk guy for 15 minutes extra and he said he couldnt do it. My husband and I are going back but we were upset this time around.
My overall stay at Best Western Plus was pleasant. The staff responded promptly to my needs and were professional in nature. Ive expressed to them the concerns I had during my stay via a survey so Im looking forward to see if any changes have been made during my next stay.
The room was clean. The breakfast was descent. Coffee hot. Scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries were warm. Everything works. Everything is clean. Didnt see the pool but we got what we expected. We used priceline to book room. Priceline charged almost as much as the hotel. You may want to call the front desk directly. Good luck
I checked in on 1/13/2017. The bartender was simply amazing. (I cant remember her name, I believe it was Steph). We wanted to step out for drinks and a bite to eat but the bartender was so nice and so talkative that we never left the hotel after we checked in. We had an appetizer and a few drinks at the bar. I cannot tell you enough how much I enjoyed my stay. And the room was AMAZING. Planning our next stay :-).....
I called ahead and asked if the rooms had ethernet and was told they did, however the room did not have ethernet. The hotel has great reception for sprint at least as I was able to work off of my mobile Hotspot. That was the big negative for me, as one of the requirements for the hotel I chose was that it had ethernet so that I could work from the hotel room in the morning, which is why I picked this hotel over other options and booked over the phone without looking for a lower price. I had a queen size bed. The sheets werent very comfortable, but the pillows were very nice. The room had a desk and office chair which were good for working. The room had a decent sized mini fridge. The staff were very friendly and aloud me to have a later checkout time. They have a small bar which was open until 11. There is plenty of parking and easy access to many main roads. There is a dunkin donuts right next to the hotel. The breakfast was very nice! Served 6:30-10:00. Eggs, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, bacon, yogurt, and more. Standard breakfast foods, very tasty though! I booked this hotel in a rush as the trip was short notice and probably paid more than I would have if I had shopped around for a better deal. For the price I paid, I would not stay here again. At a discounted rate from a booking site, I would consider staying here again. Not if I needed to do work though...
Arrived at the hotel late night after a long drive. Check in was easy and the desk attendant was polite and informative. Helped me sign up for Best Western rewards and set us up with a late checkout. We got to the first of our 2 rooms and the bathroom was flooded and the keys to the other room wouldnt work. Went to desk and they quickly fixed the keys and switched our other room. The next 3 rooms were also flooded in the bathrooms. Finally got put on 2nd floor and it was smooth sailing from there. Pool was nice, kids enjoyed it. Breakfast was great. The attendant was helpful and food was hot, everything was clean. Overall not a bad hotel. I would stay there again if im in the area
Pool.-ing together my thoughts here on this post covid-19 culture. I feel like screamng on, on, on, on, on and on as business fail to reflect adjustments made to amenities available at their establishment(s). If the pool is closed, rooms self serviced, towels are barely there or at extinction levels...ADJUST!As it takes some adjustments as a guest paying same or higher rates for accommodation, which typically included commonly conveniences and now I make the bed.
Love this hotel. Front desk personnel are so nice and helpful! Every time we’ve been there, we’re greeted with a hello, is there anything else I can do for you, thank you, have a nice day, have a nice evening. They always smile, ask how you are, and if there’s anything they can do for you. They are some of the nicest people. We always stay in our favorite room when we go to the Parx Casino for an overnight trip. I can’t tell you the room number because I want it to be available when we travel. This room has been redone and I cleaned the giant hot tub in the room so thoroughly that’s why we book that room every time. The hot tub is the biggest I’ve ever seen in a regular hotel.(The best is the Mount Airy Lodge with the champagne glass tub and your own swimming pool in your hotel room!)Anyway this Best Western Plus (1225 Vine Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107 is very, very clean, the room was redone, It has a room with a king bed, TV and the hot tub in it, then another room with another TV and seating, and another bathroom. It’s so great for the price. They have a free breakfast buffet in the morning. There is coffee, tea, cream, 3 waffle makers, some days fresh fruit, and some days kielbasa. There’s always eggs, sausage, and potatoes. There’s granola, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, English muffins, breads, cranberries, raisins, banana chips, chocolate chips, and a lot more. The coffee is not too good a little watery, but there is a Dunkin’ Donuts right next to the hotel. The ladies in the morning that keep the breakfast area clean and put out the food are so nice and friendly too! This is a great hotel, for a great price, and great people!
Worst hotel I have ever been to in my entire life! Bathrooms are messed up with both the shower and toilet being broken (keep in mind no one fixes anything, no matter how many times you ask front desk), the bed sheets were stained and no one came by to change mine even after I complained, the tv was broken and so was my rooms phone so I had to walk up and down repeatedly to the front desk with complaints because I couldnt call them! My bathroom also had no hand soap, or even soap in it to begin with! The only nice thing about this hotel was the bar, other then that I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone, please stay away!
Great beds, super comfortable. Direct TV, Pool and Hot Tub always clean and a pleasure to use. Standard American breakfast is Free and very good! Pets welcome, for a small fee. Onsite Bar/ restaurant is very good and has a great selection of beers. Always our favorite home away from home near our old home.
Stayed here for one night. Our room was on the 1st floor. Also on the 1st floor was the laundry room. As a result, the hallway was hot and humid. I checked out the pool and hot tub, but after seeing a layer of scum on top of the water, decided against going in the water. The room itself was nice and seemingly clean. Location was convenient (right of the Pennsylvania Turnpike) and the cost was very nice (around $100).
Stayed here two nights around Christmas while in town visiting family. They have a good pet policy - $20/night, but they only charged us for one night. Everything seems a bit worn but it was clean and very close to where our family lived. Would stay there again if we were traveling with our pup.
This hotel is pet friendly, which is difficult to find in this area, and is the primary reason we needed to stay here. The location is ideal. It is great value for the money, because hot breakfast is included. However, we were very disappointed in the breakfast staff service, as food was not stocked nor ready on time, or it would run out and no service staff would be accessible for at least 30 minutes at a time to request assistance. The exterior of the hotel could use some sprucing up, but our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Won’t stay again the room they gave me was dirty bathtub had mold and the carpet had some googie looking stuff that looked it like semen bed box spring had makeup all over would not recommend for the price they charge you will expect at least a clean room I went with my kids elevator didn’t work neither is a nonono it was bad again wouldn’t recommend or go back.
Check in was a breeze, very friendly and helpful staff. Check out at 6am we were supposed to get a to go breakfast but front desk clerk said she didnt know she was supposed to do that. Instead of an apology she gave my wife and attitude. We are business travelers and stay frequently at hotels across America. This is a very nice hotel but please LOSE THE ATTITUDE!
Everything on my list was checked off -hot tub, comfortable mattress n pillows, exercise room, complementary breakfast, and pool. Employees and Associates were friendly and helpful. If I am in the area in the future, I would reserve a room again - sometimes I just flip a coin on my choice of hotel - now Ill be more careful n choose Best Western Plus Philly/Bensalam.
Not too great, not too horrible, either. If you are a picky person, that requires everything in a straight line then this is not the hotel for you. Staff was very helpful and kind, breakfast was not bad... I guess not to bad for a stop and go place. But again if you are looking for a nice place more then a 3 star definitely not the place you should book.
If this is Best Western Plus, I don’t want to see the minus. Hotel is dirty. Floors throughout are sticky. Sheets are worn through and pilled. No working ice machines. Dirty breakfast area. We were here for an athletic tournament and only had to stay 1 night. Thank God! There are plenty of other options in the immediate area. I would think long and hard about staying here again.
Well stayed here again. This is the last time..none of the doors from the outside lock at all. The shower head I had this time wasnt installed correctly the towel rack in the bathroom rusting along with the bar in the shower. I will never stay here again and I hope everyone can read and doea the same. The breakfast os always made lazy. Just put up a few more dollars and stay anywhere else around here..
Gross. Went to check in and the 2 front desk clerks were fighting. They didnt even say hello or acknowledge there were 3ppl waiting to check in. The man at the front desk smelled and was rude to us upon check in. The hotel was loud. Seemed like hundreds of kids running around the halls screaming and yelling. People were smoking cigarettes in the halls while others were smoking pot behind closed doors. The hotel stunk! We all didnt feel safe there.... the room was kinda dirty with sticky stains on the night stands and broken lamp shades. Couldnt wait to check out...
Very friendly staff. Indoor pool. Reasonably priced. Kid and pet friendly. Clean rooms, optional one or two beds. Laundry facilities available. Long term stay discount. Plenty of parking for cars and trucks. Microwave and refrigerator. Complimentary breakfast. One free drink included with stay. Handicap accessible rooms with wheelchair friendly light switches, door peephole, and bathtub/ shower.
Update 6/12/20 staff lethargic. Arrived for an event that had been rescheduled. Desk had no clue that it had been. Had no clue if it was tomorrow. Would not check tomorrows schedule for me. Told me to come back tomorrow and ask. How do you treat guests like this?Previous review - Staff was nice, but overworked. If you dont ring the bell at the front desk, you might not see staff for a long time. If you cant find this place, pull into the Dunkin donuts across the street from the wawa gas station. Their parking lot has a crossover to the BW lot.
Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. Amenities included pool, fitness center, and business center. The pool has a mini (1.5 feet deep) pool within it that is great for kids. The rest of the pool ranges from approx. 3 to 5 feet deep. Close to park casino and LOTS of restaurants and stores nearby - wawa is walking distance across the street.
My girlfriend and I were in transition between homes after I sold my house. We stayed here three nights and were very comfortable during our time there. It was difficult to find somewhere suitable due to the fact that we have three dogs and a guinea pig. They welcomed us with open arms, animals and all. The night staff was very helpful and professional, and the room was clean and spacious. I would also like to give you some advice to save money. If you go to Parx Casino and join there rewards program (its free) you get a discoint on your stay. I recommend staying here...and so do our animals...
Stayed here for 2 nights on business. A bunch of kids running around ,yelling and screaming , and horsing around at 1030-1230 at night , called the desk, at 1015, didnt stop til 1230, where the heck were these parents !!!!! Teenagers . No clean towels in the pool room, when i asked for a dry towel the grumpy man gave me a side glance and walked away. Was never asked how my stay was.. Doubt Ill go back there..

2022-04-29I had a fire in my building, so me, my two kids, and my dog were forced out of our home for two weeks. It was hard to find a hotel that takes dogs. And I was so grateful you do. Also the staff was amazing. Very helpful. The place was clean. And the manager was understanding. Thank you to everyone for making this hard time easier.

2021-12-27Well we drove from NC to PA to spend Christmas with our children on 12/22/2021. Earlier that week the hotel we originally booked cancelled on us due to having 2 small dogs and I had to rush to find a new hotel. The second hotel cancelled when we were checking in for the same reason even though both websites for those hotels said they were pet friendly. So here I am at 7pm on 12/23 with no hotel when we found this one. We went in, they had a room and were willing to accept the 2 small dogs on no notice! They were very accommodating and friendly and even discounted the room 2 days before Christmas! I want to thank them again for their understanding and willingness to work with us on such short notice! I would recommend and book there again.

2022-06-21This is seriously run down, off the turnpike hotel and nothing about the description matches the actual hotel. Checking in and asked about a room that would be quiet and the clerk looked at me and laughed and said it was Saturday night, like good luck with that, this place will be jamming. The room was small, dank and the bathroom was equally small and the toilet seat was stained. The tv had no service and said so in Spanish. We decided to cut our losses and went down to the desk and asked to have our room cancelled. She gladly did, knowing it was not going to be good for either of us if we stayed.

2022-04-07Positive: comfortable Negative: The hotel site said the pool was not open, and I found out it was. Strong smell of chlorine throughout the hotel. I always ask for the nearest room, and did not get one. Breakfast attendant was nice but I dont want to be hovered over.

2022-04-24Stayed there for a week end for my wifes birthday. Except for the keycard of the door not working correctly, it was a great experience. My baby girl of 14 months enjoyed her first pool experience there.

2022-01-16I have stayed here for a total of 3 nights. The staffing at the hotel is great, but past that its been dreadful. The first room I was in had a dysfunctional toilet when I came in and I was handed a plunger as a solution. I got put into another room the next day and the heater doesnt work propperly (Id had it on 84 for over 24 hours before the temp in the room ever got over 70). Their continental breakfast shouldnt exist, just get the coffee and orange juice and be on your way. Overall the hotel is not in disarray but there are many small things that you will notice upon arrival that in my opinion make it an overall unsatisfactory experience. Another point is there are many hotels in this area priced lower, but this one allows dogs.

2022-03-09Positive: The staff were very helpful. Negative: First room had roaches & plaster was falling off the ceiling. Second room didnt have roaches that we could find, but the tub was peeling (some sort of refinish), there were outlets without covers, and the door handle came off and we were locked in!

2022-06-06Rooms has furniture that needs updating. Bath was tiny and you have to step in shower to close bathroom door. Pool was open but was cloudy looking and had a weird almost salty taste. When we used the hot tub with jets on a weird foam was on top and I amost passed out from the bleach smell. Breakfast was ok. Youll have to be ok with Rosa hovering over you as you get food and she will not let you have bacon and sausage it is against the rules whatever that means. Breakfast was very basic. Staff was nice and for our mini vacation away it was ok but nothing special. This place seemed like a place that rents rooms out by the week to locals. Plus side is was only 15 mins from Sesame Place as that what we we were there for.

2022-05-16This hotel was dirty, no extra blankets, staff wasn’t the friendliest, and the pool area was disgusting. Looks like it hadn’t been clean in years. Also, the carpet in the bedroom smelled like mildew. It was a horrible experience. Multiple people traveling the same night that I did left and requested a refund.
