My wings were good a little cold, asked for them to be put in a togo box, after 30 minutes no food. Id say bad service.. $1.00 to play a game of pool.
Nice sports bar located in a hotel. Good selection of food, and a wide selection of drinks. Service is typically very good here, but I have been let down a couple times. Overall a great place to stop. I plan on many more visits here when Im in the Erie area.
I have hundreds of positive reviews I haVe made and maybe 10 who I wrote bad reviews that earned 1 star. First.... service was terrible. The server paid us no attention. It was all our first time there. My buddies ordered pizza while I tried the boneless wings. Nothing was good. And the service was none Attentive, including allowing us to pay the tab.For a Sports Bar not one TV was on a sport. 2 was turned off, 1 was on public TV for school District info, and another on what looked to be OWN network. Also, all TVs were small.I will not recommend this place at all.I encourage management to train the staff to visit tables often and not just their regulars. Regulars are earned by good service. I wont be one of those.If management truly cared to improve service, they would of read the negitive reviews and saw they all are saying the same thing I am. Its POOR SERVICE!!!!
Todd is an amazing person an looks out for his customers! We come through town several times in the spring and I can always count on the wait staff to be helpful and kind.

Great place friendly happy employees. Fast service . Great place for a snack or a meal. They are hidden away in the Quality Inn across the street from the Pilot truck stop.

Prison has better service than this place. Food was decent but we received our food in togo boxes after a long wait. Bartender was too worried about the leather dog collar she was wearing than to attempt any type of interaction with the 15 customers seeking food, drinks, or their checks.

Food was really good. Burger was cooked great and juicy. The fries were nice and crispy not soggy. Wings were also good tendy inside and nice crisp on the outside. The gentleman that took our order was nice and helpful. Would come back again if Im ever back in the area.

Here on vacation and staying at the hotel. Decided to try Black Jax and it was great! Had shrimp and hubby had the deli melt sandwich and it was all wonderful. They were short staffed but the service was amazing.

We sat down at 8:10 pm. Whatched several to go orders come in and out. Finally got our food at 9:43pm. The orders were then wrong, Fish was freezer burnt dry! The baked potato was rotten! All the fried food was over cooked to were it hardened. The waitress was very nice and seemed so embarrassed. This place made a gas station microwave sandwich look great!
These are my favorite wings in the Erie area at the moment. Theyre huge, theyre nice and crispy, they taste great, and have a good selection of flavors.Their pizza is solid, but their wings are the reason to go here.
Super fast service. Friendly servers. And the wings are awesome. I am 56 years old. This is a pretty bold statement, but they had the best wings I have ever eaten. Price was average expectation for a hotel bar. Dont miss this hidden jewel.

Very busy and slow service. Staff seemed overwhelmed. Orders the app sampler which is the standard all fried from frozen food platter. It was fried evenly and served hot. Ordered award winning wings , secret sauce , and cranch flavors. Wings a very large and flavorful and a solid value overall.
We shared a full rack of ribs--no plate charge--and they were very good. The price was also very good ($15 as I recall). The dinner included coleslaw and french fries--a delicious and filling meal for 2. It was a very busy establishment, but service was very good.
Taylor was awesome. She took great care of us. Wings were great crispy and flavorful.
LOVE THIS BAR!!! We went here after our wedding to keep the party going and basically all of our guests followed us. They didnt disappoint either! Karaoke night on Saturdays is awesome and their wings are out of this world!

We wanted to try somewhere closer to home. We had some Black Jax wings at the cook-off this past summer. They won for 2018. Too bad the SERVICE wont win any prizes. It took too long to have a wait staff come to our table and it took 35 to 45 minutes for our wings. We sent our French fries back to get some that were hot, not cold and clammy. The next batch were perfect. Unfortunately we were almost done eating by the time they returned. I do have to add...a couple of mixed race entered the place while we were there. The wait staff IGNORED them until finally the gentleman went looking for attention. They ordered and then were ignored again. The wait staff went by their table four times without stopping and waiting on them. Finally the gentleman again went up to the manager asking very politely for the wait staff to go to their table. A young girl showed up and mumbled an apology. Then promptly ignored them again. Too bad that the manager and wait staff can not live up to the title of Best Wings for 2018.
Horrible service. Jodie was a nightmare of a server, and it was highly irregular not to have a manager working on a Friday night. Never was given menus until 20 minutes of sitting there, and waitress was so bad we had to get our own drinks at the bar. Took over an hour to get our food and food came cold. They even forgot to give my wife her salad. Food was mediocre at best and service was not existent. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!Only bright spot was one amazing server(short blonde hair) that took the time to try to make our visit pleasurable.
Great experience! The pizza was amazing! The one i got was called the Penn State. My kettle one and sprites hit the spot. Definitely going back this week! Wanna try their award winning wings!

Worst dining experience ever. Im not one to complain, but after 55 minutes without the appetizer we ordered, we left paying for our drinks. When we went to pay and leave without the food we order an hour earlier, the server almost seemed relieved that he didnt have to help us any longer. Along with that and the foul mouth bartender making the rounds asking the locals if they need, I truly think we were forgotten about... no appetizer after 55 minutes? Cmon man!
Daryle was safe respectful, and continues on all rules to abide, however though stern he allowed a good time between me and other patrons without violating. Presentation of food was perfect and daryle acquired respect from character. Great job!!!
The food and the band was excellent. I would have given them a 5 start but it took forever for the food to come out. Once our food came out and the other half was lost in the kitchen somewhere we had to bring it to there attention
The wait staff ignored us for about 20 minutes before we asked to be served. Finally menus were brought over to us, it took another 15 minutes before our server returned to take our order.We waited an hour before our orders were finally brought to our table. The food was mediocre at best. Our server apologized and blamed it on the cooks.She never returned to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything else.After we finished our meals, we waited for our bills. And had to line up at the bar to try and pay for our bills. It took 10 minutes before staff finally took our money.It was a very disappointing experience at Black Jax to say the least.All this occurred from 6:30-9:30pm on Friday night. It was a busy night for sure but most of the guests had already been served and eating. By the time we ordered our food, customers were already starting to leave.Dont really know what the issues were that night but we wont be returning to Black Jax.
Was recommended this restaurant by the hotel we were staying at. So good! The wings were great, kids loved their food. If we ever make it back to Erie we would stop here again.
We went in a group last night and although the food was good the server couldnt keep up. We had to go to the extremely busy bar and get our own drinks and break our checks up ourselves when it came time to pay. They definitely need more help on a Saturday night.
Its a hotel bar apparently known for wings. I guess its OK if youre staying there. The night I went there it was busy and I had to wait awhile to get the bartenders attention. She eventually came over and I ordered a draft. I dont know what happened. She kept serving other people and apparently forgot about me. No big deal, the karaoke was bad enough for me to leave anyway. If I hear one more horrible rendition of Sweet Caroline, I swear.
If youre looking for a place to shoot pool thats not over crowded, check this place out. Its separate from the bar, which I like. You can enjoy yourself and not have to worry about dealing with drunks and excessive cigarette smoke. You still have fun and can enjoy having a conversation with your friend(s). They have 3 pool tables, so its not over crowded.
I really enjoyed myself there. The wait staff were super and the food and atmosphere was awesome. I will definitely be stopping in there again next time I come through
Food was mediocre bar food. Menu and bartender stated wings were whole jumbo wings fire $12 for 9. Which was a rip off because they are winless and not worth the money or time to get ripped off.

We were staying at the hotel and decided a beer and a burger would be good. We arrived at 8:15. Waited a good 10 mins for someone to come to our table and tell us they close at TEN so we can only order fryer food. It was only 8:30! We took our business elsewhere. Dont recommend this place.

🔵 Straight up, the Black Jax Secret Sauce wing flavor is one of the few wings that Ive ever eaten where the after-taste is better than the initial taste. Only reason its not 5.... service is slower than any place in town and im not talking about cooking time im talking about service time. The girls are understaffed and often you will sit at the bar or a table and need a drink for 20 minutes or more. Food is DELICIOUS but you better have some spare time to eat.
Sara was an excellent bartender. The other bartender that took over after she left, he was not so good, and seemed to have a history of bad attitude towards patrons. His actions caused more than a handful of people to leave for elsewhere. Nice inn, just dont visit the bar, unless Sara is there.

Waited 1 hour and 40 minuets for my food and when it came I was extremely disappointed. The “buffalo chicken sandwich” was two chicken tenders with hot sauce on the side. Terrible service and terrible food never going there again

Friday July 19th 4pm We sat and waited for 30 minutes. No waitress no service ever. Bar maid saw us sitting there numerous times.Made eye contact with her no response.As we were leaving I talked to the manager I presume . he blew us off.Negative ten stars terrible

Went to Black Jaxs for something to eat. I was told at 830pm the cook would only make fryer food, no grilled food despite the fact they advertise they are open until 10pm.
The service was on point and the wings are large and cooked to perfection. I recommend the fire ranch.

2022-01-17Located in a hotel, we started here on NYE. They easily accommodated around 12 of us without a reservation. The table shared a bunch of appetizers that were all really tasty, the zucchini planks were yummy. The waitress was fantastic getting us all a few rounds and ending with shots and joking with us the whole time. The only reason I went with four instead of five stars was the decore / ambiance, definitely not the most new or up-to-date, it was clean and functional. Will be going back, hear their wings are pretty good

2022-04-23We stumbled across this place on our travels south. On a Friday night the restaurant/bar was busy with diners and karaoke enthusiasts. It took a while to get a server at our table. Once we did, our server did a nice job . The chicken wings were as advertised- winners! Nice and crispy on the outside with tender and juicy meat on the inside. Some of the best wings I have had. The other meal served was haddock, onion rings and a garden salad. The portions were plentiful and the food was good. I would recommend this place for a decent meal.

2022-01-29The service was a little slow and the music was a little loud. That being said, I ordered the mango habanero wings. They could have been hotter but the flavor was good, I typically like hit wings to melt me from the inside out. The portion sizes were good on the wings and the fries but it is a little pricey for what it is. I cant remember for sure but I believe 12 wings was over $17. This restaurant is in a hotel so if youre staying in the hotel I say give it a shot. It was nothing spectacular but the food is good and the prices, while a little high, wont break the bank.

2022-05-02Really basic menu that is over priced. All food is finger food. They serve plastic silverware and Styrofoam plates. Table was sticky and there was no background music. Very quiet. Everything is served in a basket but they want $15+ for pretty much anything on the menu. Would not recommend.
