This was our second time here and we love their food! Very clean and friendly. Great menu to choose from.
I will NEVER go to this establishment EVER again. I went here for a couple of drinks and an order of wings with my cousin who is visiting from out of town. Tammy was our bartender and we ordered two dirty martinis each and shared an order of boneless wings and our order was $90.54!!! Ummmm excuse me!!!! Why were our martinis $76 total, that’s $19 each martini?!?!?! Granted they were Tito’s vodka martinis but I can get the same thing at the Doubletree in Reading for $14 each and have WAY nicer ambiance and company. People do NOT waist your money at this establishment. No sense, non sense!!!!
Had my wedding in the banquet room. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly & went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and the owner Gino and his wife were great
Not a bad place to eat but they only had one server and refills were hard to get. Worst thing was there was too many flies trying to land on the food

The food was excellent and we had plenty of leftovers but the low rating is based on service received and witnessed. A group of us stopped here before heading to Christmas Village on 12-4 which we never made it to in part due to the slow service at dinner. There’s no reason we should have spent almost two hours on food from the time we arrived to the time we left. We didn’t order anything over the top. When we arrived, there was no hostess at the stand, we watched numerous staff members acknowledge people were waiting for a table but never came up to ask how many in the party or that there was a wait. Once we were seated, I saw tables open up, people still in line ignored. As the night went on it was obvious there wasn’t much organization in terms of what waitress oversaw a certain section because the table behind us had a waitress take the order, then a few minutes later a different waitress came up asking to take their order. The people next to us were seated, sat for about 15 minutes with no service. Other guests seated after their table had their orders taken first. Just a disappointing experience all around.I understand these are tough times and many places are short staffed, but this is as simple as organizing the staff you have and getting a better system in place at the front door to improve your customer service. The food was fantastic I just hope we came by on a bad night.
We were in the area to sight see. We didnt know where we would eat and Reading was so confusing with one way streets. We knew we had passed an Italian restaurant going in. We found it and was pleasantly surprised. The quality of food for the price was awesome. Good quality food. Our server Kaitlyn was equally as delightful and a gem. We hope to make it back some day.
I always get the cheese steak with hot peppers in oil for take out. I live 20+ miles from there and it always stays hot on the trip home. Never had a bad one!
My wife and I really enjoyed our evening. Our waitress was so polite and attentive and the food was wonderful! We had a great dinner and the portions were so big that we have plenty of leftovers.
Great food and solid service. The wait staff was on top of everything. The appetizers were good and ample. The dinner portions were very good. Refills were timely and the whole experience for our very large party was fantastic.As a bonus, this is not far from Koziars if you are coming for the Christmas Village. Perfect stop before the event.
The last time we ate here, we really enjoyed it. But last Friday night, they were super full and we sat on the non-bar side. We enjoyed the quieter setting but they werent planning on using that section tonight so the heat was off and even after waiting 40+ minutes for the food, the room was still very very cold. To be honest, some of our group liked their meals while others really didnt. Itll be a while before we try it again - but maybe it was just a bad night for them.
Food was delicious… service awful. We waited an hour for our food which was salad and wings. Then I get home and I realize they double charged me for my food…. Very very disappointed with the service.

We were there a couple weeks ago for my wifes great aunts birthday. We had a party of 12. Everyone enjoyed their food. But more than that, our service was fantastic. Caitlyn(Kaitlyn?) Was amazing. We never wanted for anything. She helped me with a candle and singing happy birthday, and all that. It was a great experience.
Clean & classy sports bar atmosphere. When I first looked at the entree prices I thought it was a bit high but when our lovely waitress brought out my chicken cacciatore it was a whole damned platter! Well worth the 16.99 since I got breakfast AND lunch out of it the next day. Husband loved his ravioli, too. They do not skimp on the portions. Not a single complaint.Service was friendly and speedy. Even my 7yo adored the garlic bread, sampled our plates, and says he will be back!

We had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I believe it was as good of a pizza as I have ever had(especially the thin tasty crust.
Fries were good pizza looked like it watered down but here it was from the fresh mozzarella cheese wat to watery we did not eat very disappointed.

Great Italian food. They serve a nice size dish. Every dish so far that my family tried is very good. Nice and friendly service. Definitely recommend to check out if you are looking for some quality food.
So unhappy with my 2 club sandwiches for $9.95..hardly anything on them and the BLT club had microwave bacon on it which cracked all over when you bit into it 🙃
--After nearly an hour of sitting we left.Ive been extremely excited to try this restaurant for the last several months. It takes me 30 mins to get here but I thought it was well worth the trip based on how great it always smells. My wife and I took our sister in law along. It was a great disappointment. We spoke to the staff inside and advised we were going to sit outside. We sat at a table with garbage and had to asked them to clean it up and then had to request a menu and clean silverware. It took 30 mins until they took our drink order which consisted of 3 waters. When she brought them back we were obviously ready to order but she told us she wasnt ready to take it because she has to make her rounds of other tables first. I watched other people come in after we did and get service from other waitresses and receive food before we could even get a menu. The table next to us spoke about the restaurant the entire time and said how it was such a mess and how bad the service was. This being said and even as disgusted as I was i still thought the food smelled amazing and wanted to wait to try their food. It was nearing an hour and we still didnt get to place an order so we walked out.As I said before it was quite upsetting that my experience was being bad since I recently moved and was hoping to find a new favorite restaurant near home. I almost feel bad for the owner unless he is already aware of this issue. Id love to give it another chance but it unfortunately wont be anytime soon.
We walked in. Place not busy. Bar maid had to come take our drink order. Waited over 1/2 hour. Waitresses walked passed us . NEVER took our order. Waited on 2 other tables that came in after us. Roof leaking on my head. Paid 14 dollars for the beer!!!!! NEVER EVER going back!!!
Fabulous every time! We had late Saturday dinner. All of the staff was relaxed and so much fun. They were quick to refill drinks and food was great. Thank you Lisa for a fun time. Well see you again soon!
There did not seem to be anyone in charge, no general manager, very young , inexperienced wait staff, slow to bring drinks, food slow coming out. One guest had the brushetta pizza, very wet and they only ate 2 pieces and left the rest, didnt even want to take it home. The rest of our food was good.
Food was mostly very good. The bacon wrapped shrimp needed some sort of dipping sauce but there was none provided. There was a ton of bus kids waiting to bus the tables but they were short on waitresses and that made their service suffer

Ordered Veal Parm and the pasta was rinsed with water after it was cooked so the sauce did not stick to the pasta. Ordered this many times before with no problem it was delicious. Hopefully it was a one time incident.

My wife and I came in on Monday for lunch and we had the worst waitress. She was all over the place and messed up our orders so bad! The food took forever which was surprising since the place was empty! My wife then called to speak with the manager and she spoke with the assistant manager Lisa, who by the way was of no help. She literally laughed at my wife on the phone! Never again will I go there!

This was my second visit. The first visit was a bad experience due to extremely slow service. We decided to try it again, believing our poor service was due to sitting in the bar area and our waitress being very new. The second visit, we sat in the dining room. We were not acknowledged in any way for over 15 minutes. We got our drinks and salads quickly and were optimistic about the rest of the meal. The appetizer we ordered was finished at the same time as our entrees so our entrees were kept warm in the kitchen until we finished our appetizer. My meal (Shrimp Romano) was lacking in flavor, as my pasta dish had been on our first visit. The wings were good. We may try once more as a take out option but we wont dine in again.
I have been here multiple times and have had nothing but good food and good service. Today we had reservations for 11 our waiter was awesome and super nice. But there was a birthday party going on too and they were so loud and the kids were running circles around the tables. It made our dinner celebration for my sons special day not so enjoyable. If I would have known that was going on I would have told my son to chose another restaurant.
What a turn this place took! Absolutely TERRIBLE service! Many people walked out the last time we were there...and it WAS just that, the LAST time we or my family will be going here. Greed has taken over for sure. Dont waste your time here folks! Not only has the service FELL OFF the food isnt as good either anymore! Such ashame because most of my family used to love this place. Hopefully they get some new servers in there that KNOW the food business ASAP!

Great food, nice atmosphere, lots of hard workers, but it does seem to take a while to receive food in the dining room. Wish they could figure out a way to minimize the food to table time, because its a convenient stop when we are in the Bernville/Leesport area. Keeping kids amused while waiting for 45 min for food is not always easy.

The food was good but we waited a long time. The server seemed to disappear inside for 20 minutes at a time and didnt clear our plates when we were finshed. We were not offered dessert when check was dropped off. The server said she was bothering us too much when in fact she was never around. The service was horrible. I checked the dinning room, there was two tables. So Im unsure what took so long for the food and was wondering where our server was going off to in between table visits. Not a manager or anyone in charge present. Sad to sat this was our first time here and our last. We will not be back.
I had a special simply called broiled salmon shrimp and crabmeat over angel hair pasta in a wonderful vodka sauce., it was delicious. Kudos to the cook.
I love this place. The waitstaff is friendly the food was made too perfection and served piping hot, the serving size was large enough to take some home and savor. A must is to have garlic knots. My opinion the best I have ever tasted. Kudos to the cook and the management for doing it right.

The Blue Marsh Cantine is a great place. Excellent food, great service and a very nice bar. Been going here for years for takeout beer and pizza on the way to Blue Marsh. The owner is very pleasant as is the staff. Two thumbs up and a very high recommendation.

We stopped in late right for a bite to eat. Live music outside on the patio. (Fisheye. Good music!) We ordered wings to share. They were delicious! And they smelled so good that other tables were commenting about how snagging they smelled. They were dont just right. Nice and crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Ive never had a bad meal here.

The garlic knots were awesome,the calamari wasnt tender as I would have like. Wont oder them again.
Went for dinner about 3 times and every time service is disappointing. My niece got noodles and no meatballs with hert spaghetti. They forgot my sister in laws Denmarks ans then her entree. My food, which consisted of chicken fingers, came after everyone else was finished eating. They didnt even take them off the bill or offer an apology. Each time is am equally bad service experience. Good is ok but doesnt make up for poor service.

The food here was amazing we came for my husbands annual company appreciation day and the food was absolutely amazing very authentic the service was 100%. And they have a decent space for small gatherings which made it special.
Went there for a retirement party. Food was excellent. Prices were good. Staff was shorthanded but were incredible.
We use to go to Blue Marsh all the time, however over the past few months, all the regular employees are gone and service has gone down tremendously. We haven’t gone in awhile and thought we would give it another try and we sat 10 minutes waiting for our drinks and the place was empty. Then our appetizers came out with our main dinner and then we waited again to get refills on our drinks. My boyfriend had to go up to the bar and get them. Sad to see a good restaurant decline so badly.
Probably the juiciest burger Ive had in a while. If I lived in the area I would come more often.
We waited over 45 mintues to receive our food. I had to ask after 45 minutes if our food is coming. Then waited additional 15 minutes for food to arrived at table. No apologies or explanation of why it took so long. I wouldnt have been so upset about wait, if apology was offered.
Worst dining experience ever! We walked in to a half full dining room and waited to be seated. The kid showing us to a table looked like it was pure torture to even have to say hello. After being given menus he mumbled something and walked off. 20 mins later not one single employee acknowledged us and we were forced to go ask if anyone cared to take our order. The kid who sat us at the table came to finally take a drink order but had no clue what they even offered so he left to find out! Thankfully a girl who actually was upbeat and friendly came to take our order and apologized that she was never informed we were waiting. It took over an hour to finally get 2 burgers and a plate of Mac and cheese after threatening to leave. I will never visit this place again. I would rather have horrible food with kind and competent staff. The only reason for the second star is for the waitress who I hope finds a better employer.

Great little spot. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the outside patio is a neat little place to eat outside. The staff is great! Definitely recommend if you get the chance. The steak panini was absolutely delicious.

Waited 50 minutes for take out in a nearly empty restaurant with no apology or explanation. Bartender seemed irritated we were there. Other customers came in after us, were seated and served their food while we sat and waited. Pizza was cold and not very good. Much of the bacon on the loaded fries was inedible it was so chewy and the fries were soggy and cold. Cheesesteak was ok at best but it was warm. Seemed like the pizza and fries sat for a long time before someone got around to making the cheesesteak. We’ve been there in the past and enjoyed our food and service so this was very disappointing. Won’t go back any time soon.

Usually the take out fare here is really good and so are the more traditional eat-in dishes. I had one of the seafood personal pizzas and it was delicious!Unfortunately the quality of the takeout pizza and Strombolis can vary. Most of the time they are very good, but every now and then you can get a real dud with a tough crust or barely any cheese or something.
If I could rate them less than 1 star I would... This was my first time going to this restaurant, walked in with my mom and boyfriend it said to seat ourselves. Two waitresses were standing at the bar talking to a customer , one waitress sat down after looking us directly in the eyes. Then the other waitress walked back into the kitchen. We sat there for ten minutes and still no acknowledgment. Then the waitress who was sitting walked over to the empty table behind us and laid down two silverware sets and then walked back to the bar. NO ONE acknowledged us! So after that we got up and walked out. Now I’m not surprised why there was only one other table there on a Saturday! As a former server I’m appalled by this experience. RUDE RUDE RUDE.

My husband and have been wanting to try this place for awhile finally got a chance WOW what a disappointment!! The service was HORRIBLE!! apparently the waitress was let go during our dinner then another waitress who looked way too young to be serving tables dumped a tray of drinks all over the people next to us and then another kid came out with a hot Steaming smelly mop right next to us as we were eating our cold dinner that we waited almost 2 hrs for UGH!!! having said all this i would be willing to try again because our cold food was some what tasty😞
Made reservations, we got jammed into this small area where we could barely move. Took forever to get the food ,evan the table next to us made a comment how long they had been waiting. They are always busy, think by now they would know how to be prepared. Not in a hurry to go back. Maybe pick up a pizza.
WOW! The food and dining experience is second to none! With the same owner as Ginos and Ginos Grill in Shillington, the menu is pretty much the same and the Italian food is FABULOUS and tasty. Blue Marsh has a totally different interior set up than their sister restaurants. The interior is designed into 3 sections -- dining only, a take-out area, and a fully-stocked bar and eating area. I found the dining-only area is very family oriented and the bar & dining area has ample seating at the bar or at a table. My quick service was much appreciated, their wait staff very friendly & fun, and Ginos food absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Blue Marsh Italian Restaurant for their outstanding food, fun, friendly, & knowledgeable staff, and thoroughly-enjoyable atmosphere for your favorite Italian cuisine!
Great food. Grilled chicken salad is loaded with chicken. Meatball Sub very tasty. Burgers prepared perfectly. House made fries that are boardwalk style. Needed malt vinegar. Quick service. Highly recommend.
There were open tables when we arrived at 6:50 p.m., but we had to wait until one was cleaned to sit down. We then waited for 15 minutes and no one bothered to take a drink order or stop by to say hello. Another party came in and a waitress went to that table. We left.
Pleasantly surprised! We were in the area and needed to stop for dinner. Everything about this place was wonderful! The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the food was delicious! 😀❤
Meatball Sub had 5 meatballs. Very tasty. Other folks had the potato/bacon soup, grilled chicken salad (loaded with chicken), and a burger all food tasty fine. Homemade boardwalk style fries. Not very crowded. Extensive menu and I think I will try Happpy Hour on. Real good prices and I recommend.
The place was unorganized waited long for pickup even after calling 30 before arriving. Food was cold fries were soggy. Last time I go until Carona is over.wss ok before when sitting down
Our family thought it would be a good idea to have dinner here after finishing up some Christmas shopping. We were very wrong. Four of the six of our party arrived 30 min before the other two. We ordered pasta, Stromboli, chicken fingers, soup and a ham and cheese sandwich. In over an hour, we received cold French fries and slightly warm chicken tenders. We asked for cream for coffee and ketchup and never received it. The remaining two members of our party arrived and waited for nearly 30 minutes and our waiter Zak never showed. Finally, the ham and cheese sandwich and pasta arrived. Unfortunately, they were both luke-warm. The pasta sauce had congealed on the top. Neither of these items were delivered by our absent waiter. When I went to the hostess to let her know we had people waiting to order and that it had been an hour since we ordered our other food she went to track him down. I even heard her asking another waitress where Zak was. After another ten minutes, Zak finally arrived with yet again barely warm food that had obviously been sitting for quite some time. When my dad asked what was going on, Zak had the nerve to give attitude. Thanks for ruining what should have been a good post-deployment dinner with my family Zak. Bottom line, the service was terrible and the staff obviously didnt care. The food could have been good if it was served in a timely manner. My family and I wont be taking any gambles on eating here in the near future.
The wings and Fries are a must have. The pasta is good as well. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly. You can sit at the bar or sit at a table with TVs all around to watch ESPN.
I really really want to like this restaurant but unfortunately their wait staff is ruining it. Came in today while there was only 2 other tables. Bartender/ waitress seemed miserable like she hated her job and was just irritated we were even there. Definitely need to hire more experienced happy staff.
Chicken Parmesan was cooked great but sauce tasted like out of a can. Very plain.

Decent food but terrible service. We waited 25 minutes for someone to come to our table and take our drink order. Then they messed up the food order. Its a shame the food is ok and there is not a lot of options on the area to go out to dinner just really terrible service. Currently waiting for the second attempt to get our order right.
They have great pizza and great pesto! The wedding soup is also very delicious. Everytime we go past it we stop. Its a really great Italian restaurant.

Absolutely an amazing place to stop no matter what! Food is delicious, especially the happy hour menu from 5 to 7 pm. The bartender/waitress carly is the sweetest and the coolest. If you want to have a good time and some good food and drinks stop by, its so worth it!! Also becca is cool as hell too!!

Lasagna seemed to be a mass of Roccoti cheese, bacon wrapped shrimp appetiser was great! If you want two more small pieces of bread they charge .50 cents extra! Waitress kept my drink glass full.

We sat in the dining room and ordered a small (which is pretty big) stromboli, for I think $14, which fed me and my husband and we still took home half! LOL It was delicious, btw!I also witnessed our waitress (Katrina, I think) deal very well with what could have been a difficult customer at another table. She was knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating on anything we needed and very friendly.Great experience, clean and friendly environment and yummy food!

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon, not busy at all. Girlfriends panini was cold. Fries were cold. The bread on my club seemed to be stale, otherwise decent food I guess. Waitress was on top of it tho. Shes the reason for the third star.

2022-06-26Glad this place exists as it gives people who live outside the city a chance to experience homemade Italian cuisine.Pizza and Italian dinners are on point. The specialty salads are filling entrees on their own.If youve never had an Italian entree salad, you need to try it. They actually make for the perfect lunch. Loaded with Italian meats, cheese, olives and more. Makes you feel like youre still eating light. So delicious and also filling.Only qualm is they messed up my order ever so slightly. I ordered a Blue Marsh special stromboli and they gave me a Blue Marsh special pizza. No biggie, it still had all the same ingredients, just in pizza form. They should prob alter the names slightly, because I can see the kitchen just taking a quick glance at the ticket and making the wrong thing by accident because the names are so similar.This is perhaps the best Italian food you can get in the more rural areas of Reading. Give it a shot.

2022-06-14I’ve been going to Blue Marsh for years but this past weekend was the best experience I’ve ever had there! The food was top notch. Some of us got Italian dinners, others got sandwiches or Stromboli. All excellent. And the bruschetta, amazing! The service is what really pushed it over the top though. Our waitress was very attentive, as was the bus boy (who even turned the Phillies on for us on one of the TVs!). Will be returning soon!

2022-04-22We stopped in on Good Friday after a hike at Blue Marsh. 3 pizzas (LG cheese, pepperoni, and bacon chicken ranch), 3 orders of mozzarella sticks, 1 can of sprite and water, we are leaving with a $97 bill. Apparently there was an issue with their water, so they had to give us bottled water and a can of soda. Never telling us they would charge us for a bottle of water at $1.75 per water, except for the one water poured into a cup for our 3 year old. I will NOT being going back any time soon!

2021-09-14Stopped in for a bite to eat.Very friendly bartender was pleasant and helpful too. Ordered the Blue Marsh chicken dish with a side salad was very good with two large pieces of chicken and five good size shrimp. BRAVO

2022-02-27My friend took my out for my birthday. Neither if had ever been here. She has a beautiful salmon salad that she said she loved. I had the caprice panino, and it was delicious. I’d give this place a solid 4.5 stars!

2022-06-13My wife and I were standing at the “order out section” of the restaurant and were quickly looking through the menu. The cashier very kindly asked us if we needed help and I asked a question about an item. A few minutes later we made our decision to order. They tell us that the kitchen had closed three mins prior. Mind you, they knew we were ordering, and were standing there waiting. We saw pizza still on a heater and asked if we could have that. They declined.This particular night was a swing dance gathering with a door fee to enter the other part of the restaurant. We found out they obligingly gave pizza to these customers the mins following our interaction. (We knew some of the dancers).The hours of this particular night were irregular considering the swing dance gathering. There was no way to know that the kitchen would close when it did. The fact that they did not bother to give us a heads up shows their priorities. Shameful service.

2022-04-26Food was great. Would have given them five stars, but an employee was breaking up a bag of ice on the floor, which is a health code violation. He obviously wasnt Serve-Safe certified.
