Coffee shop with claims to Australian origins. I see no evidence of this other than selling KeeCups and telling you they are Australian.Of course the menu has Aussie classics such as Avo toast and banana toast.Coffee was average and the service did not exceed expectations. For Aussie ambience think Mooloolaba rather than Melbourne.
Different coffee shop. Different but good. The coffee is great. The ordering kiosk is good but I can imagine it could be a bit difficult for some.My coffee drink, Piccolo was on point. Strong, tasty, and the right size pick-me-up.Good service. Quick. Nice indoor space as well.
Delicious coffee! Australian style company -- so they make flat whites and have oat milk (mmmmm so delicious!!) They also have a great food program -- the Avocado Toast and the Cheese & Tomato Toastie are my favorites!Staying for a bit? Their upstairs area is great for a more private atmosphere.
A little coffee shop with a second floor loft space. A nice spot for a quick stop. I stayed there a bit longer to do some work, but I found that they closed really early and the staff can be a little unattentive. Took me 10 minutes to find out my drink was ready since they didnt call my name and the staff was distracted in their own conversations so it felt a little awkward to interrupt when I wanted to ask about the menu.
I enjoyed my visit. Its clean, its quaint, and it is a pretty contained space despite everything going on outside. This is definitely a modern space, which you immediately notice from the vegetation and key elements of the layout, and I think it is the right atmosphere for this location. If you want a little more privacy, go up to the second level, but if you want to enjoy a hot cup while watching the city go by thats where this awesome photo came from. Ill have to come back again when its busy and see what its like, but its perfect for couples or singles looking for a quick break from the bustling din.
Great atmosphere and beautiful looking place. We were a bit disappointed with the flat whites we ordered. Wife is an Aussie and we’ve had many flat white in Australia. So we were hoping for a nice cup from an Australian company. A bit disappointed that we were given to go cups when we were staying and asked for mug. We bring our own cups we we order to go.Update: Just want to say that Bluestone was very quick to reach out to me and ask how they could improve things. They have some great customer service!
Clean, hip and healthy- this place has some great drinks AND food options! There were multiple gluten free and refined sugar free items too. The matcha latte was flavorful, but the milk could have been frothed a little more. The coffee was high quality, but it felt like it wasn’t quite made fresh.
Great avocado toast. Additional seating with wait service is tucked around the back of the ordering counter which opens up into the atrium entrance where there are 7 or 8 more dining tables.Price is standard for the area (few dollars more for every item when compared to local dives) and the menu is ideal plant-based eaters.
I rarely rate coffee places 5 stars, but this place is just great. $5 for a bagel and coffee, free WiFi, and friendly staff and insisted I get a free refill which Normally isnt their policy.Very nice area, very good coffee, and close to the subway and City Hall if you need somewhere to hang out for a while.
This is the little sister to the larger cafe in the Rittenhouse Square area. The menu here is limited to salad selections, as there are no cooked meals available. They do have specialty coffees and pastries. Seating is also limited, but the time we were there it was quiet enough to have a good conversation in a relaxed time frame.
Ordered a small cappacino and the person who made it instead of putting a top on my cup or the correct sleeve basically just put my cup on the to go side and gave me a strange look. I would not recommend going here unless the staff is actually looking or acting interactive before purchasing an item. I just found it odd that she simply directed me to put my own to go top on instead of putting one on after finishing the order?? And dont think Im basically bashing customer service people. I worked in the field for 10 years and would never have acted like this lady did to any customer no matter how asinine.
I had a small cup of Americano (12oz) and a chocolate croissant at Bluestone Lane near Philadelphia City Hall. Its place looks cozy with neutral colors. It was pretty, but both taste were a little bit disappointing. And seating their high chair is not comfortable but I set because of the electric outlet....very few electric outside are accessible.
Love the food, vibe, music, and atmosphere at Bluestone Lanes, and at this location especially. The upstairs loft is a neat place to chill with friends. The playlist is always on-point, the food is always great quality, and the employees are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it!
I stop by here time to time when Im working in the Wanamaker building because of its convenience to the office. The coffee isnt bad but STAY AWAY FROM CHAI LATTE if youre used to REAL CHAI lattes. Its a disgrace. I took a sip and it was just a disgusting sugary syrupy mixture. not even the slightest hint of real brewed chai tea. I even got it with unsweetened almond milk which is PROOF that they are using some kind of nasty chai syrup flavor. An absolute crime especially because it was around $7 for a dirty chai. Parliament around the corner makes an amazing REAL chai latte (thats cheaper!) AND they have great coffee... I wont be going back here.... Honestly if I wanted a sugary chai latte that comes from a pre made carton Id go to starbucks.... or actually this is probably more on a dunkin donuts or wawa self serve machine level. It was that bad. I dont mind paying more for a good quality coffee or tea drink but I felt like i was robbed here. I had to throw it out.
Visited this Bluestone Lane this morning and was shocked and disappointed to see them using a boomerang as a toilet key.I appreciate good coffee, I don’t appreciate an ancient, powerful and beautiful culture being reduced to a toilet key in the name of Australia. This is the equivalent of your staff wearing Native American headdresses. Not cool.

2022-05-21Update:I want to thank the customer service for contacting me immediately and for rewarding me with $10. Also,Thank youFirst time to come to this branch. It is 2pm around closing time. The lady who supposed to barge my order she just left it at the counter without calling my name! When I inquired about my order she said here!! Then she handed a bag for me to bag it myself. This is a takeout order was not bagged, I had to ask for a bag!! She was not friendly nor welcoming at all.The gentleman who made the coffee made a very good coffee for me yet did not smile! This not pleasant experience made me ask if BluestoneLane is paying attention to their employees wellbeing?

2022-03-12My favorite coffee shop- both the City Hall or Locust Street cafe locations are great but my go to is the City Hall location- It is next to my office- so very happy they reopened after the pandemic- best oatmilk flat white Ever and delicious food and snacks. The staff here is just wonderful- really nice and tentative with a very relaxed atmosphere. Great place for business, meeting friends, brunch with my children (Locust Street location- City Hall closed on weekends)or by myself-I love BluestoneLane.

2020-01-15Beautiful, bright, and adorable coffee shop with fantastic service! If you are ever in the area or thinking about going here, go! They have a variety of cafe items to choose from that are all delicious, and they use environmentally friendly drinkware! The atmosphere is very friendly and there is plenty of seating. They even have some breakfast items. I got the banana toast, it tasted great but was very sticky.

2022-06-03Good coffee bad client experience. You have hit approximately 19 buttons on the kiosk to order a coffee. Meanwhile 4 people are behind the counter watching you instead of asking you if they can take your order.

2018-10-02The avocado toast was really good and tasty. The chili flakes bring a little kick to it which is really nice!! Also tried the chocolate banana walnuts bread and it was lovely, not dry at all!! Free WiFi, nice service, really cool place!

2018-07-23First off, what a nice hipster 😎✌️looking place for the modern hipster. Great aesthetic inside. I got the avocado 🥑🍞toast with poached egg🍳. My egg wasn’t poached at all. It was completely cooked🥚. My friends was poached. So the inconsistency here is what knocked it down a star. But the portion was huge and it came in a cute box and it still tasted pretty delish. So some redeeming qualities there 😁.

2019-10-29Iced coffee and almond scone $8. Quick service, but they didn’t have any flavors except a simple syrup. I wouldn’t mind vanilla 🤷♀️ almond scone was good, but a little tough, which means they over kneaded the pastry. Good price and quick, but I like a little sugar.

2019-11-01The place is cute and the food is good. The avocado toast had some brown bits from the oxidation of the avocado, and could have had a bit more flavor, maybe more lemon juice? My friend and I both agreed that some parts were more seasoned than others so I’m guessing they just did not mix it right. I got one energy ball and it was $3+ for it... Too pricey. However, the food was good overall and the coffee as well!! I also liked that they had vegan alternatives!
