I am so glad this is still one of the few remaining stores that is open...I am not nor will I ever be a internet shopper? I like to go look at what I am buying and yes feel the material and see its true color...Please Boscovs stay open for people like me...The place is clean and organized...
We are regular customers, and we visited again just after Christmas. As always, the store was bright, cheerful and well-staffed, with great after-holiday prices. Most impressive, however, was the polite staff member posted right inside the front door making sure everyone who entered was wearing a mask. At a time when so many places are doing nothing to enforce COVID safety beyond having a sign on the door, it was refreshing and comforting to see Boscovs going the extra mile to keep customers and employees safe. And all in a polite, professional manner. Keep up the good work - this is what we call great customer care!
I did curbside. It was great. I ordered online, waited for the response from Boscovs telling me my order was ready, pulled up to the back of the building and called them to tell them I was there. The employee was very nice and quick to bring out my order. Its too bad it took a pandemic to have curbside. This would have been great for ppl who are disabled, parents with small children and anyone who just does not feel like going into a store.
I was shopping in your Lebanon Valley store. A very rude employee told me to pull mask up over nose. I cant wear a mask for medical reasons and tried hard to show support by putting it on partway. I know the announcement says we can order online and pickup. That is discrimination! You can compare items quality, etc, on line. The governor says you cant insist on mask wearing for those who have medical problems that prevent it. You claim you are private property. Not so! Once you let the public in your doors you must comply with the law to let anyone in! Your guard at the door let me in! Other employees were not after me! Just this one rude employee told me to leave! I will never step foot in your store again because of your discrimination. You could be sued as you are acting against the Americans for Disabilities Act that clearly states you must accommodate us. And not by acting like we are subhuman and telling us we cant shop in your store!Lois
I barely come in here, but sometimes I stop by. Junior’s section is pretty nice, but the cashier in the junior’s section ruined the experience for me. She was very snobby, curt and stuck her nose up at me when I asked for help. Then when it came time to the transaction, she barely looked me in the eye. When the transaction was finished, she threw my receipt in the bag and just walked away without a word… Shame because I always thought the employees here were friendly before. Something must have changed.
One of the last of the OLD SCHOOL Department Stores with such services as free ship to store/home. Lots of merchandise for everyone, great prices, sales. THE BEST: ongoing announcements reminding shoppers to wear masks while in the store. THE WORST: the ongoing rotation of occasional rude employees and the enabling, patronizing female Store Manager. 6 FEET!
Would have given the full five stars but no free WiFi while you wait for your spouse to shop. Found a nice pair of shoes exactly what I was looking for and priced as good as on line. I love to look around at the retro styling and mirrors, takes me back to my childhood. Just miss the candy stand. “I Boscoved Today!” Bring on Tent Sale season!
Avoid going here for the optical. The lady that helped me today shouldnt be in that section. I went for the $99 special for two glasses. Every frame i try on she was like yes, cute, no or that not so cute. I think is my choice to pick which glasses i want. Beside that. When i get my total she says $214 i was shock she add up. Insure, glass lenses and other things with out asking me first. Every employees should ask the customer first if the wish to get those extra stuff. I ask her to delete all the extra. And got what i wanted after all. She did same thing to other family and friend of my. Before paying make sure they dont add stuff to you order.
Extensive selection of wristwatches. Bought one and will return to have it adjusted when appropriate person is on duty.Returned to have watch adjusted for wrist. Employee declined to provide service. Watch returned for refund. Purchased two watches from a different business.
Since the first time I visited a Boscovs probably 7 years ago, it changed my mind about department stores. A store is a store sometimes, but sales associates who want to help you in any way is a game changer for me. I can tell they are paid to help the customer. I love coming to Boscovs for clothes and Christmas gifts. Their sales are incredible and I try to visit at least one Boscovs whenever we visit family in Pennsylvania. And the Boscovs stores cater to their local clientele so I noticed that the clothing styles in one store may be different than in another store.
Now that I wasnt harrassed to wear a mask, I actually used my Boscovs credit card. I almost closed my account with them. For them to think they have a Right to tell you to wear a mask or you cant come in and buy, I would have done just that!!!I have Macys, JC Penney, Kohls, ext to spend my money at !!My body My choice!!!!So since I wasnt hassled, Ill intend to keep my card for now!!
I used to love this store and have done business for over 35 years. Never again. Their policys regarding people with disabilities are reprehensible. The manager made it clear that it is a private business and that they can do what ever they want. Their response is that they offer separate but equal service to people with my disability. Seriously, Jim Crow??? Nice. So when I look at shipping product there are all kinds of legalese and rules about return. Forget it. Amazon does it better if you refuse me service. A shadow of the store I thought you were. This is an updated review from yesterday.
I normally love boscovs, but today I went in to buy a gold chain and the woman behind the counter was so rude and basically brushed me off like I was a nuisance... I wouldve given a lower review but the other associates around the store are always so friendly and helpful. However, when an employee is being rude and snooty to customers it will always outweigh the sweet associates. What a shame.
We were checking out at 5:50 ten minutes before closing at the jewelry counter. The cashier rung up our order and when my wife told her she had a gift card she gave us a look like we just ruined her night. All she had to do was hit cancel on the credit card machine and hit a different button on the register. She was very disgusted and made sure we knew it.Maybe she has a bad day but she shouldnt have projected it on us.My wife and I both work in the service industry and we know even if we have a bad day we need to treat the customer as if we didnt.This is not the normal treatment we recieve at Boscovs and will definitely return as it is one of my wifes favorite stores.
The place was very nice. When we needed help finding a bathing suit there were tons of options and a worker kindly showed us where they where. When we told them we needed a school appropriate swimsuit she took us over to many options and even helped us figure out what would fit best. I tried on the first suit size that she offered and it fit amazing i ended up buying it. I really do reccommend coming here.
We went so my BF could look at watches, found rings on sale and purchased both. The jewelry manager was SO nice! She sized his watch, went over the warranty and made the experience really good. I went back and purchased more jewelry. Our new favorite place to shop for mens professional work clothes too. The employees are nice and helpful.
One of the things that I’ve noticed while coming here is the lack of friendliness. I had an experience with an older brunette lady in the perfume department. Apparently she was “taking care” of another customer. But from the looks of it, it looked like they were just talking. So I have a few things in my hand ready to get rung up, and went over to the brunette lady. I asked if she could ring me up and she says, “I’m with another customer right now” in the most irritated tone. Luckily I have found someone else who was kind enough to ring me up and she was very friendly to me (she heard the tone this employee and was happy to ring me up) piece of advice, teach the workers how to be more nicer to customers -thanks
My husband and I ordered a couch December 20th and paid over $1000 and were still waiting for this couch almost 3 months later and nobody has even contacted us to tell us a date for delivery. We have reached out more than once to see the status of things and it sounds as if the couch doesnt even exist/they dont even have the materials to make the item we bought! I am starting to think were never going to get this couch, so well be in soon to get our money back. Very unprofessional and frustrating. Id give zero stars if I could.
Lebanon, PA location: Im somewhat sorry for only 3 Star review, but any business that doesnt provide WiFi and has absolutely no data signal inside the store is not going to do well with my family. I like the store and enjoy the price scanners at various locations throughout the store. I many times dont go here because theres no phone signal (cant even send txts).
Had lots of clothing at sale prices but couldnt get any service at the shoe department. Lots of nice shoes for sale but none of the boxes out contained the style I wanted and lady behind counter wouldnt leave counter to help, she just pointed. If the shoe is on display then they should have then in stock. I left. Give my money elsewhere.
You just cant go wrong shopping at Boscovs! They have so much to choose from and the store is very clean and the employees are always friendly and helpful. I like shopping at all the Boscovs stores nearby me. I never left empty handed thats for sure! They always have some kind of sale going on too.
My 73 year old mother went shopping at this location and she was not allowed to check out using her own bank card without first signing up for a store credit card. She was forced to open a store credit card because the cashier would not allow her to check out without applying for the store credit card. Even though after she did, she was able to check out using her bank card. My sister, who my mother lives with contacted the store Manager Lisa Pleasa(sp?) who was less than receptive or helpful when it came to addressing this highly unethical practice. This practice is over the top unethical and abusive to the customers specially the elderly who are already on fixed incomes. Shame on you Boscov!!! This will be taken to the corporate office.
Just shopped there last week to pick up a couple suits in the mens section. The gentleman was very helpful and knew what he was doing and knew what was in stock. I hate shopping but I was in and out in a reasonable time. The prices, even on sale, were a little salty but I am difficult to fit and I was able to find 2 suits and a sport jacket that fit well right off the shelf. Petes courtesy and professionalism was remarkable compared to most of our local stores, his service made the experience pleasant. Id definitely revisit for future clothing shopping.
Always have enjoyed shopping here especially for the holidays. Ive only had one time the customer service was not that great this passed Mothers Day maybe it just wasnt a good day for the woman I spoke to she just didnt really care what I needed. So I just left and looked online without any luck. So I just didnt get anything for Mothers Day this year 2018.
Love shopping for clothes here for myself and the kids. Prices are awesome! Not so much for my husband though. I wish there was a better mens selection. (Hence the 4 stars) You used to have dc shoes clothing I could find for him but the last few times I was there, couldnt find anything like it. It was all cartoon characters or clothes he would never wear! Although I did find some cute fathers day shirts last year for cheap!
Went to look at mattresses on Memorial Day. We were there 30 seconds and left. The salesman was such a *****! I said we were looking for something reasonable but low in cost. He said you cant have both. He asked do you want reasonable or low cost cuz you cant have both! I looked at my husband and we left and went to Mattress Firm in Lebanon and had much better customer service!
Ordered an outdoor dining set in April, not expected to even be shipped out until at least June 22. I can understand with the pandemic, but there are a plethora of other businesses doing deliveries, so not sure why my purchase is being held hostage until we hit the green phase. I would have ordered elsewhere and already received my set if I knew this would be the case. Their communication is abysmal, never reached out to let me know they were postponing deliveries or anything, I just figured I should check back in after 6 weeks of hearing nothing. Even outside a pandemic, their delivery frame for furniture is 2-4 weeks, is this 1984? It’s not like it’s handcrafted, made on demand furniture. As a long time shopper and card holder I’m extremely disappointed and will reconsider other places before spending money here again in the future.
Boscovs is my favorite department store because they always have a great VARIETY of fashion choices and not just whatever is trending, and theyll have it in MY plus size!😉 I love buying my linens from there since theyre always at an affordable price and great quality. And when theyre on sale, I go NUTS! I keep a BEAUTIFUL bedroom thanks to Boscovs. Their shoe department is my Achilles heel. Pun intended. I absolutely LOVE the shoes and I have MANY! With so many styles to choose from and discounts galore, why not?....which brings me to the number one reason for LOVING Boscovs: if you get a Boscovs credit card you get 15% off even when its already marked down. AND they give Veterans, like me, an extra 15 percent discount. The cherry on top!
Young woman at register in the tent did not state price of each item after scanning and did not know how to bag items properly. On first attempt, the bag ripped because she tried to stuff it all in one bag. I asked for more but was told she couldnt as per her training. I had items of weight with sharp corners. Both of my bags then subsequently ripped before reaching my car. She packed them in two bags when she should have used about four to ensure safe travels. Also she did not check my ID as stated on back of my credit card.
I loved this store as a kid, but it presents completely different to me as an adult wheelchair user. The store is definitely dated, but my issues were with the narrowness of the aisles and the amount of inventory the simply stacked in those aisles making navigation outside of the main corridor virtually impossible.
Sales were busy of course. Searched until I found one women at the service desk in ladies wear. It looked as though the transaction was over. But still they stood talking.service lady kept glancing my way and still continued to talk about Pepto Bismal. Another 2 minutes when by with no sigh of being waited on. I ended up at the service desk by bras & underwear and swimsuits. I was next and the cashier was friendly and smiling. I told her what happened and even though it was her fault...she apologized. Kudos the this friendly face. Thank you.
Do not buy furniture here. Ordered a full living room set in December, was promised delivery by Jan 14th. Then again on January 28th. Then was told it would be at least a few more weeks. Cancelled order and will never shop at this store again. Dont deceive your customers to make a sale...
Dear Boscovs, it is time for you to recognize your POS system is outdated and not customer friendly! Every week you send me coupons. Then I go shopping in your store or online and each item has to be scanned individually with coupon after each time. The coupon should be the first or last 1 time scan. Although you offer a wide variety of household and fashion items; shopping at your stores seems too cumbersome. I always leave frustrated. Your entry doors to every store are heavy and not parent friendly with strollers & babies in tow. If other stores can affor to have customer friendly entryways so can you! Please update your buildings, operating systems and treat your employees better. Thank you for considering my suggestions 😉
I stopped at Boscovs at the Lebanon Valley Mall during a visit to Lebanon, Pennsylvania over the holidays. While I did not end up purchasing anything, I found the sales personnel to be very helpful and friendly when I had questions. As a result, I would not hesitate to go back the next time that I am in the area. Parking was free and close to the store entrance.
Excellent store with great service! Ive been to several Boscov stores, most recently while traveling near Lebanon. This store is amazing with great deals! As at all Boscovs, got the great military discount as well! Of course, my hometown Boscov in Hazleton is my favorite!
Ordered furniture from Boscov’s in Lebanon, was assured delivery in one to two weeks. It is now over 6weeks and the management at Lebanon is avoiding returning phone calls and is having staff call back with no definitive answers. They refuse to guarantee shipping, and say it may be a week IF THERES NO PROBLEMS. This has been frustrating, and the way corporate and management are dealing with us and our product is sloppy, unprofessional, and unacceptable.
Place is like a Ghost town alot! Cant say much for some employees! Standing behind registers, never asking if people need help!! Employees( Bedding)are commissioned and just stand around talking! Other areas bustling but overall- not many customers! They really need an employee overhaul!!!- (Lebanon Mall Boscovs).
My husband and I have needed 2 Beds replaced from here. All within 5 years over $2,000 wasted because now they wont replace the 2nd. I have medical issues and unfortunately rely on the comfort of my bed. I am disappointed by Boscoves! What a joke this department is! I do have the Understanding Boscoves is not manufacturing the models. However they are selling the garbage. I will never buy a single item at any department at Boscoves again. MAKE IT RIGHT PEOPLE!!!

2021-10-08The store is very nice and we found everything we needed to find, but my only complaint is the service this older women would not let me try on clothes in the dressing room which I fully understand because of the Covid rules but she was very rude about it even though there was multiple people entering and leaving the dressing rooms which I found funny. I’m not the one to pull the race card but after this incident with this older lady I really question it, I can see now why this place is failing and the Lebanon mall is going down hill. Overall though, this place is all it used to be and that I really enjoy. 👍

2022-04-26It was refreshing to customer service representatives manning the the department resisters. The three departments i visited each had an open resister. I didnt have to walk to the other end of the store to be rung out. Not that I had a pricing issue but if I had the person was right there in the department to check it.

2022-01-27Store is nice but not happy with my bath towels I purchased within the last 2 months. Under normal use ( my sons and I still used older sets within that time also ) 1 has torn to nearly unusable condition.Certainly expected to get more time before having to replace them.

2021-03-16The store layout is confusing but i like the ceiling cvery cool. last time i was here i spent 20 min smelling candles but didnt buy anything bc they didnt have what i was looking for. i dont remember what i went there for though. they have a large selection of goods including, but not limited to, salt lamps and kitchenware.

2021-11-29If they would have a better sneaker outlet and up their clothing style they would be much better. But their discounts are pretty good. You can get a $300 coat for $100 or less which is great for a lot of families
