So... the waitress was a sweet girl. The bread on my Reuben sandwich and my lemon water were the best part of my meal. All the ingredients where there just in the wrong proportions and it was cheap corn beef. I see a lot of locals saying that it is a great place.... well, I guess when you grow up with it, what else do you know? My husband got the Chicken fried steak. The breading so very heard and tasteless. The actual steak itself was....ok. The potatoes were fine. The cole slaw was slimy. For the price i do not feel the meal was worth it. We only ate about 1/2 our meals and ended up going to a fast food place just to make sure we ate something.
Brandys Restaurant is a great place for too eat. The space is deceptively large and full of large windows, giving you a view of the surrounding wildlife.Add for the food, everything was good, and I would know because I got the buffet. With eggs to order and a nice mix of sweet and savory, youll surely find something you like.
Food is great. Last time we were here was 15 years ago. And its still as good as I remember. A day in the snow is not complete without lunch and/or dinner at Bradys by the fireplace. Friendly staff, delicious food, whats not to like. You can even watch the sucks squabble at a pond nearby.
My daughter and her fiance were stranded by car trouble halfway from Ohio to VA, and the repair shop recommended Bradys while the car was being fixed. The kids gave the food two thumbs up, but even better (for me, the Dad), the Bradys staff were extremely kind, letting them hang out for 2+ hours on a 30 degree day, and even offering to drive them back to the shop (even though it was walking distance). Take your hungry stomach to Bradys and enjoy great food and great people!
I had the $12.99 Sunday Buffet which had eggs, crispy bacon, sausage, waffles, biscuits, sausage gravy, fruit, juice and they make your omelet there to order. Husband had the $8.99 Bear Hunter Combo which was a sirloin burger with their fresh cut fries. Delicious food with a homey cabin feel and they have a duck pond you can look at.
Food was ok. First time here and I ordered the fish sandwich like always for new restaurants. Bun was cheap. Fish was good, but somewhat small. Son had a way undercooked burger. Sent back and came back fine. Rest of the dishes were not anything to brag about. Waitress was very good. Brought out extra drinks without asking. Waited too long for food. 2 tables that sat down 5 minutes after we ordered were served before us. I wouldnt go out of my way to come back when there are way better places in Mount Pleasant.
If youre in the area I highly suggest stopping here. Ive been going to Bradys since I was 16. The place is adorable and the breakfast buffet hits the spot. Yes the hours have changed but find me any establishment that hasnt had to make changes after the year we have had. The parking lot is always full because this is the best around. The staff is kind, inviting an just great people. If you are at the resorts I suggest spending your dime at this local diner. Plus they have a pond with DUCKS! The food doesnt smell or taste like fish grease...that review is incorrect. Take it from someone whos been going here for a long time. They dont serve caviar on a gold plate but you sure wont leave broke and hungry like the robbery that happens at the resorts!
Family run mountain restaurant that has been here longer than I’ve been alive!! I’m 54….. same family has been running this establishment successfully for so long! Great food, nice atmosphere, great pond view with ducks, blazing fire in the cold winter!!!! Friendly staff, just an overall great mountain gem!!
Im a local so we come here frequently, this is a great family owned restaurant. They make delicious food. Dont let the packed parking lot scare you off! We go on Sunday morning, which may be the busiest day they have, and there is usually little to no wait. Their staff dont waste any time cleaning tables and getting you in. They are ALWAYS super friendly. The breakfast buffet is my FAVORITE. I feel like if youre coming up here to the mountains, your trip wouldnt be complete without eating at Bradys. Its the heart of the town honestly. When youre done eating, walk around back and enjoy the beautiful pond and ducks.
Stopped here while traveling home from WV, food was excellent! Waitress was on point, timely, and super friendly. We loved watching the ducks and my son enjoyed feeding them after dinner. I loved that they still do things that most restaurants have stopped doing such as, candles on the table, bread before your meal, homemade dressing ( Ive been a cook for 20 years I can tell when my ranch is homemade) homemade pies, everything about this place was amazing ! I wish more places would bring this back. Real family dining with delicious food and staff that are friendly and inviting. We will definitly be back again !
The food was fine but not exceptional. The server may have been new because she mixed up all the orders. (There were 5 of us.) She gave us all the wrong drinks, which we cheerfully corrected. My soup was given to someone else, which she simply passed to me. When the entrees arrived, I quickly stated that the burger was mine, but there was confusion with the rest. I was charged for my friends beverage. When paying, I gave my credit card which was returned to another person in the group. We continued to be pleasant about all the mixupsbut the server needs more training.
Food is delicious but the Portion sizes seem to have gotten smaller for more price from what they used to be. Ive had food from here for over 35years and the last few orders Ive have got as takeout have gone downhill. Philly steak sandwich was a disastrous mess thrown in a Styrofoam container, wasnt even chipped steak, more a chopped up hamburger and had no cheese like it was supposed to.Fish dinner was missing Tartar sauce that I requested. Fries with the chicken strip dinner was skimpy, I normally split one dinner with my kids but just barely a handful of fries was there. I spent over $50 for 4 dinner and was not too happy with the quality of my meals.
I visit this restaurant approx twice a year (its nearly an hour drive for me). Ive always been happy and satisfied with my visits here. Most recently I had their buffalo chicken wrap and I liked it very much. Also, a big perk- 4 soups on the salad bar to choose from! Was very busy on a Saturday night, yet the service was very friendly, food was served quickly, food quality was very good and the place was clean. A+
Party of 20..3 other cars pulled in we all left disappointed that they changed their hours ..no more breakfast rides to Dongeal..nowhere to eat on a Sunday morning..I even called in to see if they would open up for a larger group...NO they said ..very disappointed 😞..sorry you lost a lot of customer today...But VALLEY DAIRY IN MT PLEASANT LIKED US,and I recommend them if you our in that area...
We went in for an early dinner. I had the special Swiss steak mashed potatoes and glazed carrots for 12.99. The steak was so tender you didn’t need a knife and the carrots were cooked perfectly. I don’t remember what my husband had he said it was excellent. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was friendly. We would definitely eat there again.
Awesome comfort food. Extensive menu. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served anytime. Extra large portions. (Like pancakes 7 inches round) If you leave hungry, its your fault. Excellent prices, friendly staff, fast service. They also have a full salad bar, and breakfast bar on weekends.Dennys prices, lumberjack sizes!Highly recommend. AAA+
They are that place you dont wanna miss anytime youre in the area. My fiance and I go atleast once a month for the hot turkey Nd hot roast beef sandwich. Real home cooked food, incredibly fast service, great atmosphere, and very reasonable prices. Its my favorite spot
Nice local family restaurant. Good food, nice salad bar including a variety of delicious soups & chili. This is a well run restaurant & they must also have a talent for hiring & training good people. The servers always make it a pleasant dining experience. They are always busy but dont be put off if the lot looks full. This place is much larger than it looks from outside. I dont think weve ever had to wait. This time of year the fireplace is lit & adds to the lovely rustic atmosphere. Its not fussy its its warm and friendly.
The atmosphere is quite nice. Ducks outside at the pond greet you, even at night, though many stay resting. The fireplace inside was very toasty on the chilly night and warmed us as we sat near it. The food we tried was okay. Upon returning, Id order something different for dinner. The mushroom appetizer was very delicious! Our server was great and helpful with extra napkins and a wet cloth to help with our baby who made a decent mess...
I highly recommend stopping here. We have a family breakfast get together here every month. They have no problems rearranging tables to accommodate our family group of 16 or more. The breakfast choices are very delicious, and you cant beat the buffet. And they make your omelet to your specification right in front of you.Its easily accessed and plenty of parking. The staff is very friendly and meals are served quickly. Its a pleasant stop on your mountain drive for some homestyle food at a good price.
The best breakfast I had in 15 years considering all the restaurants in my area and the price was a bit over $7.00.I had 2 eggs, home fries with onions and green peppers in them, white toast and 2 sausage links. Nice to have a choice to include onions and peppers in home fries. The toast was on nice thick bread. The eggs were more than likely extra large because they pretty much covered a large section of the platter. Sausage patties were nice and thick - not like the thin ones at Eat n Park.
At first I thought it was a nice place, good atmosphere, lots of family around. But our waitress was not personable at all. Not crazy busy when we went so it wasnt anything like that. I dont wanna tell ya my life story, but I used to be a server and I always at least said hello and asked how my customers were doing. I didnt care much though, until I got my food. Pancakes with apples and whipped cream. I took one bite and hated it. But there was nothing wrong with it, just no flavor and wasnt good. I wasnt going to be a jerk and send it back because there wasnt actually anything wrong with it; I just didnt like it. However, if our waitress had asked when she saw my full plate, yes she definitely noticed, I would have been honest then. It would have made it so much better if our waitress was just nicer during this experience. Seemed like a clean place though, and family oriented. Just bad service, and I thought the food was very bland.
So today i took my children to Living Treasures with all of my family, we got started early in the day and when we were done we were all starving. We asked one of the employees at the zoo if there were any good places to eat around and she recommended Bradys...I regret ever asking. The first thing I noticed was how packed this place was which I thought was a good sign but after my experience i have no idea how this place is still open let alone busy. First off their menu is so cookie cutter diner you could copy and paste all the blandest dishes from any mom and pop restaurant and you would get this place. The waitress was nice but completely clueless, but the food, the food was downright vomit, but worse than that, every single thing i tasted, tasted like old fish grease, and i mean real badly, if you have a fish allergy never eat here or you will surely die. Take every bad review on here and it adds up to my experience today, my wifes sandwhich was so, so, so terrible they ended up voiding it because we refused to eat it let alone pay for it. Did i mention everything tasted like fish? Old fishy grease? It was purely revolting, based on how everything tasted this place needs a check up from the health inspector because im positive the did not care about cross contamination. -5 Stars if i could, I will never return.
We went there on high recommendations. Sad to say we were not impressed. Friend ordered meat loaf dinner got a hot meatloaf sandwich drown in gravy which was luke warm. He should of said something but he hates to complain and send things back so he just picked around at it. I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich which also came with luke warm gravy but the stringy soup meat was hot. Ample portion but just tough, stringy and bland. They were busy and it was getting close to closing so Ill let it slide but it was a long ride for a bad meal and I can get a bad meal a lot closer to home. Wont make the trip again.
Cozy family style restaurant with a nicely varied menu. Quick, friendly and attentive service. Two of us enjoyed the Reuben sandwich which was perfectly toasted and had a generous portion of corned beef. Others in our party enjoyed a cheeseburger and the soup and salad bar. We all enjoyed our lunch and would definitely return.
The food here was so good (even after driving 20 min back to our cabin) that we abandoned our plans to eat elsewhere and had their food exclusively the whole weekend! Curbside pickup is convenient and safe- staff were masked and friendly.. Online ordering is a plus. The cheesesteak, chicken parm, hot pot roast sandwich, mashed potatoes, strawberry rhubarb pie, blackened salmon, and chicken panini were all excellent, tasted freshly made and had generous portions for VERY reasonable prices. The Reuben was the only less than stellar choice and that was probably just because of sitting in the car on the way home (a little soggy). I cant wait to eat there again on our next trip out that way!
Nice family restaurant. We stopped by on Sunday and had their breakfast buffet. Nice selection of breakfast fare along with someone making made-to-order omelettes too! Very friendly staff and reasonably priced for the buffet. Next time we are out that way we will have to stop by again.
Great food and friendly service. The grilled marinated mushrooms are a must try. We have been there twice and it have been a great experience both times. The food is consistently good, the servers are always friendly and it is always busy. It is a must try place. Im always looking for new places to eat, but this one is definitely worth going to on a regular basis.
Stopped here after a recent trip to Hidden Valley. Very large selection on the menu, pasta, salads, sandwiches, breakfast. A little something for everyone. Service was fine. Restaurant was clean and had a rustic decor that fits the area.Food was a mixed bag. Some items were good, others just ok. Rack of ribs was overcooked to the point of bring tough. Prices were cheap. Would probably give it another chance if we return to the area.
The parking lot is always full and they have good reviews so we gave it a go. Terribly disappointed. The place wasn’t clean and the food was horribly bland. We ordered our entrees and the waiter came back to the table and told us that it wasn’t available and no compensation was given for the inconvenience. The food at the salad bar was cross contaminated. They gave our toddler huge grapes with seeds in them, such a choking hazard and hassle to grab them off of him, cut and deseed them ourselves. We overheard the table behind us complain about the pancakes being rubbery. I ordered a steak rare. It was paper thin and nearly well done. Just an unpleasant experience for an $80 meal.
Good variety of food. The salad bar is not huge but we enjoy their salad selections. Food portions are large enough that I always take home enough for a generous second meal. Great prices and they don’t mind making substitutions and adjustments. We like to sit near the window and watch the ducks on the pond.
What a cute restaurant! The food is delicious. There must be someones grandma in the back cooking everything, hahaha! Good, down home cooking at fair prices. Love the simple and comfy atmosphere, too. We sat close to the fire place at lunch time. Well visit again next time we are in the area!
AMAZING breakfast! Had the standard eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Everything was delicious, server was friendly and attentive. Plus we sat by the window looking out over the pond and got to watch the ducks. Would definitely make the trip back for this satisfying breakfast. Homemade cinnamon rolls are also tasty!!
Service was really prompt and kind. Not being from around the area and being new to PA, we didnt know there was no alcohol. The prime rib was good. Rolls were really good and tasted fresh. Burger wasnt spectacular. Green beans might have been canned or just overcooked but I bet its difficult to keep things fresh being so far out. We really had a nice time here even with some of the stuff we didnt like as much.
Found this place during a recent stay in Donegal. Wow! What a find! I can’t believe I’ve lived in Pittsburgh for over 12 years,am an avid hiker on the LHHT, and have never stopped in. Been here twice in three days - dinner and Sunday brunch - and can’t wait to find an excuse to come back. Great food, friendly staff, and an awesome atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Staying in Donegal on a family ski trip, we stopped here late on a Friday evening. Although they were closing in a few minutes, they seated us and we had a n excellent meal. So nice to find a lovely local restaurant in this town just off the PA turnpike. Food was good and service was excellent.
We have a group of cousins, who meet for dinner once a month. This was the restaurant we chose this month.. Service was great! Our servers name is Jeremy. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was very good and the salmon I ordered was delicious. Would recommend Bradys to anyone.
We were camping in the area and were looking for a place to have dinner with 4 kids. We found this place and decided to try it out. It was excellent! The food was delicious, the prices were very reasonable but the staff was what really made the experience. Our waitresss name was Michelle. She really went above and beyond! Knowing we were not from the area she made sure to tell us some places to go with the kids. She was phenomenal. My husband and I had to laugh because we finally found our favorite restaurant and its an hour away from home! Thats ok we will make the trip again and be sure to stop at Bradys when we do.
Stopped here on the way home from 7 springs with our kids to grab dinner. Food was good, large selection, large portions, and great priced. Our waitress was exceptional and really friendly. My husband and I stopped there in the past for breakfast which was delicious too.
This is my 2nd time coming here because me and my fiancé come to the animal park up the road every year. We stopped in tonight and I ordered a steak and it was literally as thin as a dollar store flip flop and just as tough. I ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. The baked potato was the size of a golf ball. the service was terrible our waitress never gave us our dinner rolls or checked on our drinks. The salad bar was literally the only thing we enjoyed and it was mediocre. Highly disappointed.
Have eaten there a few times. Stopped yesterday as they were to have bbq, not sure what it was but was not bbq. Pulled pork from and oven, ribs out of an oven and then on a semi hot grill. Sauced up. Sauce was good, meat had no smoke flavor at all. I told my girlfriend this probably wont be very good as there was no pit out side and no smoke in the air. Will stop again but wont fall for the bbq thing.
We stopped here on our way through Pennsylvania to maryland. After reading the previous reviews I was at the conclusion this place was either a hit or miss.... Although the one review was very terrible, they were very wrong. The staff was friendly the place clean and spacious and my mother really loves the lodge style homey decor. The food was hot and cold like supposed to be and very tasty. The pricing was also very modest. Great pick for us. :)
We were recommended to visit Bradys by all the local residents. It was a very hot afternoon and my wife and I were looking for a place to relax and cool off. We were initially skeptical that the quality of the restaurant might not be that wonderful. However upon arrival we were meet by friendly staff which seeted us in a quiet booth in the front of the restaurant. We both enjoyed the rustic decor inside and the food was great. The waitress was attentive but not overhearing. We both walked away very happy. The price is very reasonable.
This is the second time we have been here. The first time was amazing. This time was absolutely horrible. My waiter was horrible. The food was terrible. My sandwich was do greasy (club) that I had to ask for new bread to make my own sandwich. When I took the meat off to put on new bread there was maybe a palmful of chipped ham. My fries came out ice cold and grease filled. My husband had turkey that was so dry the gravy didnt even help. My daughter ate 4 bites of spaghetti and one bite of meatball. She said the meatball was gross and would not eat the pasta because of it. The sandwich was taken off my bill, but i paid for everything else. Almost $30 to not eat anything and have to go to fast food restaurant for dinner. NEVER AGAIN!!!! I left no tip and no manager ever came to speak to me, just a waitress that wanted to be in charge i guess. Dont waste your time and money.
Decided to get a few friends together (about 65 people) to head over to Bradys for a quick bite before our weekend at Seven Springs. They were incredibly accommodating. We had a full buffet to choose from. I had the fish but my friend Chase only had a salad!! Great place for a big group. They even have ducks.
MPAHS Grad back after 20+ years away and Bradys is still a great quick stop for dinner. Amazing selection that includes a soup and salad bar with decent prices. Kids menu had one of the biggest selections Ive ever seen. Atmosphere was quaint and restaurant was clean.
Always enjoy eating at a family restaurant that isnt franchised. The menu was very extensive for breakfast and lunch. The waitress told me their specialty were the Hot Sandwiches. So I tried the turkey. I asked about trading out mashed potatoes for another side but it seemed like a major ordeal. Since I dont eat much in the way of carbs, I was left with just turkey (which was very good). My husband had the soup and salad bar. He liked it but thought the chili was too sweet for his taste. So not as accommodating to the light eater, it seems to be great for down home, stick to your ribs meals.
Our server was very attentive. We had a large group and I was very impressed The the quality of service we received. The majority of us had the meatloaf dinner or hot meatloaf sandwich and they both good 😋 but not like my mommas. The chicken tenders were yummy, the salads fresh. The one bad I will note, my fiancé decided on the turkey Devonshire for some odd reason.. it came out smothered in this thick orange nacho/cheddar looking cheese that was less than desirable. What would you expect ordering that dish from and mom and pop restaurant up in the mountains. Everyone else was very satisfied with their meals, we had also order carrot cake and coconut cream pie and it was 👌
A nice rural eatery with lots of menu choices. I had the fish and chips which was good and the piece of fish they give you is pretty big. My wife had the hot turkey sandwich. She raved about the turkey, which you could see was hand-carved not processed. When ordering, my wife asked if it came with cranberry sauce (it doesnt). Our waitress remembered her asking and actually brought some for her. A very good experience.
The food was ok. We had breakfast and it was just ok. Scenery outside and inside is gorgeous. However, our server was not friendly at all. Barely a hello or hint of a smile for us but observed her being super friendly with ALL the other folks seated in her section. No. Not all of them were Brady regulars. I know this because I could easily hear her conversation with the other patrons she was waiting on who explained they were tourists (as were we). What could possibly be different about our table compared to all those other folks receiving professional friendly restaurant service from the very same server giving us unprofessional unfriendly service?Oh of course. Shes upset or confused by the non-white person at our table - my husband. A LEGAL U.S. CITIZEN HONEST HARD-WORKING U.S.TAX-PAYING man of Chinese ancestry. I am personally sick of this type of ignorance. We experienced it in West Virginia but when it happens in my own home state it absolutely breaks my Pennsylvanian heart. Our server could not even muster a simple thank you to us when we paid.So by all means, go to Bradys Restaurant if you happen to be white. If not, you might very well receive the same mean-spirited cold service we did.We will never give this place our money ever again.
This has long been one of my families favorite places to eat. Grandma, dad, to myself and now my son. Good food, friendly staff and always loved feeding the ducks and water creatures. That being said the breakfast buffet has continued to be a disappointment by cost and items. :( The omelette making option are GREAT! GOOD JOB! And our waitress was very nice young lady. Coffee hot and good.... but to pay 13.00 for a buffet of heat and serve French toast sticks, pancakes or waffles seems ridiculous to me. Canned premade items. And juices watered down. Frozen strawberries brown and mushy. :( I may be living in a tree but I expect a restaurant to actually MAKE/ COOK my food. Thats what cooks and chefs are for. I can go to Wal-Marts and buy French toast sticks myself and heat in the microwave.
Bradys is a very nice family owned restaurant with awesome, delicious menu selections for a very reasonable price. They have a soup and salad bar and a variety of menu choices for the adults and children. Its very pretty both inside and out and dont forget to walk out to the pond to feed Bradys famous ducks, lol.
I had dinner there 3 nights in a row. The chicken parmesan was outstanding. The roasted turkey was deli sliced and the stuffing was dry so that meal although edible was subpar. The prime rib was good and a decent size but I doubt that I would have it again. The service was spotty. The first night I had to ask for a roll that was should have come with the salad. The second night the kitchen was slow and the mashed potatoes were lukewarm. The third night I asked if au jus was available and told yes. Then when served I was asked if I would like some au jus! I gave a resounding yes but it never was served. There was a salad bar but I was never once offered the option to order. The serving staff were all young and pleasant but just struck me as not trained. I had long waits for water. The atmosphere is nice. Its family friendly. There is a body of water with a large population of ducks which the little ones loved. There is wi-fi. I was alone and enjoyed people watching. It seems to be popular with the locals.
If you get there breakfast buffet. Make Sure to bring lots of moneyTheres not much on it but there charging an arm and leg. Not worth it at all. Hardly anything on it and charging 11 something for it. They will make you eggs right there but you better be able to eat a heck of slot for that price. Better off with eat n parks buffet way more food for the price.
This place is okay I guess....it has somrwhat okay food. When I ordered wings i didnt get them for like a half an hour and everytime a new coustomer and there groups come in they get their food within 5 minutes. And now the salad bar, terrible. The ranch was watery and nasty, the salad leaves had brown spots on them and were very soggy. My friend I brought ordered a steak well done and it came back rare. We decided to get a pie to take home but the cream on it didnt taste like whip cream but tasted like marshmallows.
My first experience there was unpleasant to say the least. I ordered a salad bar with my meal, the server brought my food before I had even finished my plate of salad, by the time I finish my salad my food was cold. The server was not attentive to my needs and when she served my food her thumb was in the plate because she was carrying it and not using a serving tray. I do not care for this restaurant the food wasnt good enough to make up for the lack of attentiveness in the servers who were borderline rude definitely unattentive and uncaring even loud.
I have one major complaint that changes my rating of this place ..was there with my granddaughter took her to the restroom came back our table was cleared took our food drinks etc...couldnt believe it we were gone 2 minutes...they did make me a new sandwich but took nothing off of our bill wasnt real happy but I didnt say anything it wasnt out waitress she was actually very good but not sure I will be going back
Well yesterday evening the skinny blonde waitress interrupted me while I was ordering and acted like I was stupid repeating things i said and then after I ordered for two of my family members she asked me if I was ordering for just myself ( fat joke). I will not be back anytime soon,Update went back almost a year later and service was again rude. Waitress got smart with my daughter about a plate she picked up for salad bar. Then she was not very polite she acted like waiting on us was an inconvenience.
Ok, they were, unbeknownst to our waiter, out of the entrees that my fiance and I ordered, so we had to choose otherwise, my fiance ordered the mountain mushroom sirloin, I got the blackened salmon w/fresh salsa. the steak was ordered rare, it was medium well and paper thin with about 3 mushrooms on it, the salmon was good but the salsa was made with green bell peppers not jalapenos. we got grapes for a side for our 2 year old son which were seeded grapes. no attempt was made to modify the bill for the entrees that we were unable to get. the floor was dirty, and the salad bar was poorly kept. i honestly dont know how this place has a 4.4 star review on here.
I had the coupon from the Enjoy book and I was with a friend who also had one. It was a BOGO any menu item up to $6 coupon. Every restaurant can be different, so I asked if we could each use a coupon, the waitress told me, yes, as long as we did 2 separate checks it should be good. That was fine. My friend ordered a Hot Roast Beef Sandwich and Fried Zucchini($4.99), and I ordered a Hot Meatloaf Sandwich with the Salad Bar($3.99). The waitress brought us the Zucchini and informed us that we actually couldnt use 2 coupons because the coupon was worded BOGO with guest and that meant it had to be 2 people per check. Why wouldnt she have double-checked BEFORE putting in our order?! I thought is was in extremely poor taste to not honor what was said previously, especially after we ordered the 2 small extra items ONLY because we were OKed on the coupon usage. She said she thought I was talking about a different coupon. The coupon was on the table and she knew it was the Enjoy coupon. What makes it worse, was that I was only asking for a lousy $3 more off, cause we werent using the full $6 value of each coupon on each check. I was perfectly fine with only using 1 coupon if she would have just told me that from the start. Now to the food:The meatloaf was bland and it was that type of meatloaf that has been put into a food processor and turned to mush...edible, but gross. We were also assured that the gravy that came with the sandwiches was BROWN gravy...it was as light as turkey gravy, and I think it was turkey gravy. Salad bar was sad. The Ranch was creamy water...WATER! The half cup of Beef & Barley soup was pretty good. The zucchini texture was good, but bland. I love slices instead of planks, but it still was a fail. The best thing was the fresh cut fries! Wonderful! I recommend only ordering those. We each had a box to take home with some sandwich and some fries.Just one of those places that all the regulars know what is good and what not to get. The chairs are awful, you cant sit back all the way because of the way the back wraps around the side with the spindles. Check the pictures. Also, its one of those places that needs an overhaul and a deep cleaning. Its surface clean at least. The waitress was very pleasant and there was a very nice view. The total after the coupon and including tip($4) was $28...Not worth it at all and I was disappointed I had chosen to go there.
The restaurant seemed clean, and fairly well lit. However the decor is either extremely outdated or else theyre going for a vintage feel. As far as food, we both ordered chili and what we got could more closely be described as tomato/ketchup soup, with some beans sprinkled in. And maybe some crumbs of ground beef that you couldnt taste but were visible. Probably my least favorite. The fried zucchini we got was either cut too thick or not cooked long enough, because you could barely bite through it and the coating came off of it immediately. The breading was well seasoned though and tasty. Neither of us were fans overall.
I finally ate here for the first time. On a busy Saturday morning there was no wait to be seated, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and every employee in sight was buzzing around keeping the place clean and customers happy. I couldnt be more impressed with the service here
Bring your appetite, because this friendly wait staff has plenty of good food to serve you. There is also a salad bar there as well. There is a large dinning room in the back with a view of the pond where you may see waterfowl wading. Becareful pulling into the parking lot because the waterfowl walk through to the pond.
We were driving through Donegal and was talking about where to eat and as we came upon Bradys we noticed parking lot almost full and many people going in. I looked at the wife and said this gotta be good. We all enjoyed the dinner and highly recommend. Great food, friendly staff...

2022-02-09Like a classic family dinner spot stuck in time in 1981. Food was decent, although the pie was outstanding. Wait staff was very nice and there was plenty of seating for us. We made the trip from 7 springs where there arent a lot of dining options. We left satisfied. Pricing was very reasonable. We left satisfied.

2022-04-16The soup of the day was delicious and definitely homemade. Fried Fish sandwiches were tasty but a little greasy. Service was excellent. Priced reasonable. But the lakeside view from the dining room was more a small duck pond. Still pleasant and cute though. Definitely better than fast food.

2022-01-04The wait staff is always super nice, food is always good, and it’s always a delight to go there. I love the taxidermy on the walls and old country style.

2022-02-15Great place for home cooked comfort food while up in the mountains. Cozy rustic atmosphere with fireplace and woodland decor. Reasonable prices and made from scratch quality and taste. I love the soups. Hope they bring the salad bar back soon. Cute little duck pond out back.

2021-07-16Family friendly. Was traveling back from Pittsburgh and stopped in for a meal. The portion size is more than adequate (you will not leave hungry). Food was awesome. All 6 meals were liked. Service was great. I had the Whale Tale.

2021-12-19Good food and super friendly folks. While we were there, lots of regulars came in that the staff greeted by name. We were just passing through, but they treated us really well. By the end of the meal, we felt right at home. The turkey dinner was great, so was the chicken and bacon with ranch wrap. They make their own ranch dressing, and it is terrific. I asked for a side of it to dip tater-tots in.They bake their cakes and pies in house. The frosting on the carrot cake is great. Their hot fudge sundae cake is outstanding. Cookie crumb crust, with layers of fudge and cheesecake. This was suggested to us by clerk at the hotel and we were very happy with the recommendation. I dont know if well ever be through Donegal PA again, but well remember what a good experience we had. Thank you Bradys!

2022-02-08Excellent service, our waitress was very pleasant. Broccoli cheddar soup was amazing, the Philly steak hit for par, but the homemade red velvet cake stole the show, highly recommend. A great stop after a day of skiing!

2022-04-23We eat there a lot, always enjoyed the food, never got anything bad. Im a hamburger person, their burgers are good. However this time I got a burger and it should be called a slider, they really made them smaller, I dont mind paying for food if you get enough to eat but it is ridiculous how much smaller they are, not going to go there for a burger anymore.
