The people at Budget Blinds are very helpful, personable and professional. The two gentlemen who installed our blinds did an excellent job, and were very courteous. They offered to take off their shoes, and to vacuum after doing the installation.They showed us how the blinds work, and demonstrated opening and closing them to insure us they were working properly. Its been a couple of months since we had Budget Blinds install window treatments in our home. I like to wait before giving a review because sometimes things occur afterwards. That said, there is a reason why BB in Harrisburg has so many 5 star reviews. Our experience is that they are not satisfied until you are satisfied. The in store consultants, the at home consultants, the installers and the followup were are all of the highest quality. I will recommend BB Harrisburg to anyone that needs window treatments. They couldnt have provide any better service or product. If I could give them 10 stars, I would give them 10 stars.
I am very very pleased with my new Budget Blinds. Beth was phenomenal with her consultation and ordering, and Nick and Nick were superb with the installation. They were very personable and professional from the moment they walked through the door through the job completion. They were very neat and clean with the installation.

We were very impressed with their service. We had shopped for blinds at several hardware stores and had received quotes from various experts without seeing the actual blinds except in picture. Our consultant Jo, came prepared with several samples for us to review and walked us through the different options patiently. She ultimately made us make the perfect decision for our home. We had such an amazing and seamless experience with Budget Blinds off of Jonestown Rd in Harrisburg. The sales lady came to our house listened to what we wanted and showed us pictures and color samples until we were happy. Our blinds were installed last Friday and we are so happy with them. Installation was excellent, quality of blinds seem good however I didn’t develop a good rapport with the salesman. I felt there was miss communication between the salesman and the scheduler regarding product information as well as overall flow/purpose of the home visit. Overall, I was disappointed in the in home consultation but was beyond pleased with the installer and the final look of my chosen blinds.

I love my new draperies! Nick and Nick are the best! They were prompt, courteous, friendly, and very detail oriented! They removed their shoes upon entering and cleaned up after themselves when the installation was complete! And my cats love them.... So that says everything!

What a difference these shutters make in our home, the installer, Nick, was very nice and attentive inside with preparing for the install…. although I wiped up after he was done, there was actually nothing to clean up.Wished I would have done this earlier
This is the second time Ive used Budget Blinds and I have enjoyed working with both Mark and Beth. Their response was quick and the consultation was scheduled right away. They are both professional and easy to work with. Dan arrived this morning, on time, and installed my blinds. He was friendly and was only here an hour. I love my new blinds and would recommend them.

The new window shades from Budget Blinds are a beautiful enhancement to our home. We had a nice selections of designs from which to choose. We regret we didnt do this earlier.Beth was great to work with from the very beginning and was able to answer all of our questions. As a result there was no surprises with purchase and installation.Installers, Nick and Nate, did a fantastic job installing 7 of the 8 shades ordered. The 8th was damaged during shipping and a new shade is on order. We were amazed it only took one and a half hours to install 7 shades, which included programming a remote and showing us how to operate it. We are hoping Nick and Nate will be the installers for the remaining one.We were given an half hour window for their arrival and they showed up promptly.We recommend Budget Blinds highly for window treatments.
We had all windows in our home replaced with blinds. The living room and bedroom are motorized. Loving the blinds and their simplicity. They allow for privacy but yet let natural light in.And I must give a shout out to Dan who installed the blinds. He did a great job, very pleasant and professional.We still need to do our kitchen/family room. Will definitely be engaging Budget Blinds when the renovations are completed. Thank you Budget Blinds!

We had 20+ wood blinds and Roman shades installed and the installation was flawless, white glove level, and incredibly friendly.Special thanks to Nick and Dan for being so kind to our toddlers who were very interested in their work, and we’re buzzing around them as soon as they got to our home.Beth was also incredibly helpful and offered a very personal, and professional experience while selecting our fabrics and measuring. The ladies running the Harrisburg showroom greeted me but were not welcoming nor were they eager to be helpful. However, every one has a bad day so I took my husband back in with me and received a similar greeting. We were exploring options for window treatments and asked about several options and were interested in plantation shutters. The questions we asked we answered with, we can have a salesman come out and explain everything to you. So we made an appointment. Luke was top notch and did indeed answer our questions. However, he assumed we were purchasing the shutters and when we wanted to explore other options after gathering the price of the shutters he was reluctant to change gears but answered our questions. He didn’t come prepared to explore other options. Went back to the showroom to explore vertical blinds and we were greeted with the same lackadaisical greeting and non-attentive service as before. Apparently, there would be a $99.00 charge if we didn’t make a purchase this time for coming out to tell us about the blinds. They said it couldn’t be waived because it’s company policy. If the sales ladies would have been more willing to tell us about the color choices and construction etc we could have made a decision without another visit to do so! Then we could have set up a visit when we had all the facts to make an informed decision and were ready to purchase. Unacceptable all the way around! I will not do business with a company that isn’t about helping a customer settle on a window treatment with out nickel and dimming them dry!

Everything went so smoothly—Mark did our consultation and he made our decision making easy and with confidence I know we made the right choice. I had an awesome experience with Budget Blinds from the time I went to the store, in home visit and installation. Everyone was very nice and pleasant I highly recommend them. They also had an excellent sale going on.
Service for installation of accordion blinds and drapes as well as porch shades has been excellent. The service is prompt with careful attention to details. After installation the area is clean. The drapes were steamed.We are very pleased with the products as well as the presentation. The installation service providers are knowledgeable, pleasant and polite. Really enjoyed working with the representatives of this company.
Everyone there has been very easy to work with, from the folks who man the phones to Luke who measured for us, to Dan who just installed the blinds. The blinds look great and actually came in on the early end of the estimated arrival. Dan in particular did a great job of installing- very meticulous, professional, and a nice guy. Cleaned up very well, too.
Ordered custom blinds and Jo told me 4-6 weeks until they are installed. Two weeks later my blinds were installed. Jo was an amazing salesperson and answered every question we asked. The installers were quick and very knowledgeable about the installation and how to use the blinds! I would recommend and use the Harrisburg Budget Blinds again and again!
My blinds experience with the Harrisburg store was excellent! The expertise of my saleswoman with measurements of my various windows was important and when the blinds came (earlier than expected), they fit perfectly as professionally installed.Of course, the quality & style totally fit my needs.No they weren’t inexpensive , but all the other features I noted made them worth every penny!

I started with three wood blinds for our living room. I knew it wouldnt be cheap because our windows are not a standard size, but I called Budget Blinds because of the reviews. Beth came to measure and suggested Espresso which was a little darker than our chestnut wood.I was so happy with them, the dining room was next. And, then the master bedroom with four off white wood blinds. it actually makes the room look bigger because they are more streamlined.Nick and Dan did the installations and were great.

Budget Blinds did a very good job from the consult and estimate to immediately returning after install when I called w/ a small problem. Jo came for a consult in November. I knew I was going to purchase interior shutters for several windows in our historic 1858 home, but her expert knowledge and savvy design skills help me refine exactly what I wanted. After spending time one day in our house and writing the order, I had a concern about the proposed product’s impact on one of the historic features of our windows. Jo came back for a second consult, looked at my concern and explained why their installation system would not obstruct the window opening mechanism that worried me.It seemed like forever, but installation day came and 2 young men, both named Nick (well-played for “older” women like myself, who appreciated having to remember only one name) came to put my purchases in place. These young men could not have been nicer or more respectful. Both wearing the requisite COVID pandemic face coverings, they came in and took their snowy shoes off on the entrance rug! How thoughtful. As they installed the shutters, they answered any questions I had, and as I continued to work at my nearby computer alerted me when they were going to make loud, potentially startling noise. Again, thoughtful. The install completed and I tried all of the different configurations, opening, closing, folding. They left; I was very satisfied. I decided I would open two of the shutters to the fully opened format, and “oh no!”, the shutters gravitated back to the “not open” position! I called the office and explained my dilemma and 5 minutes later, Nick and Nick were back at the house. The problem was of course the historic structure that is this house w/ it’s lack of straight lines and squared squares. While they tried different tweaking of the hardware, nothing worked. They did however, come up with a work around that was satisfactory. They spent a lot of extra tome trying to make my product perfect for me. Great customer service. 4.9 out of 5 stars!

I cannot say enough about this local business, the quality of their products and how much they value their customer relationships. Over the years I have purchased 2 sets of blinds for our living room picture window. The first set were wooden and Beth helped us match our wood trim exactly. They were just what we needed at the time, beautiful almost floor to ceiling, easy to clean and held up to years of abuse from cats, a dog, and 4 children. In the past couple of years, we repaced the front window which has 3 windows (2 side windows and a larger middle window) with an Anderson replacement window. We were under the impression the new window measurements were almost the same as the old window but when we tried to rehang the wooden blinds we found out they did not fit. Faced with an unexpected major expense we weighed our options and lived in a fish bowl for a while. When we called Beth again, she came out to our home and quickly helped us to choose the type, color and price to fit our budget and she gave us a great discount for being a repeat customer. I wanted privacy but also light so she suggested the top down/bottom up shades in a lighter color. She has a good eye for discerning between the dizzying variations of the color beige and found the right color for our home. They were installed inside the wooden trim of the window so they did not hang or sway in front of the window. The installation was quick and done well. Recently we brought the side window screens up from the basement to put them in and realized the brackets for the blinds blocked the openings in the wood frame where the screens lock into place. We called Beth and unfortunately the next appointment was several weeks away. However within a few days the store called me back - they were going to work us in around a job they had that Saturday. I was thrilled. They moved the brackets but realized the blinds now are not wide enough to provide full privacy. Life has been hectic and I did not even notice. They could have easily chosen not to mention it. I did not know it but my husband noticed it but thought there was nothing we could do. Then, Beth called me to tell me it was not correct and they are ordering a new set of blinds and would call me with an install date when they arrived. I was shocked and impressed. I could not have been happier. They have a loyal customer 😊

Budget Blinds installed outdoor blinds on my porch today. The guys did another terrific job at my home. Loads of colors to choose from when planning, the install was neat and the blinds are easy and functional to operate. They even installed wind cables, which I was unaware existed. Best part: don’t have to take them down for the winter.

I have nothing but positives to say about the pre-sales meeting with Jo Crider, the quality of the blinds as well as the very professional installation.Jo Crider was the person who did all the measurements for the blinds. She was top-notch! With her previously being an installer, she knew PRECISELY what to look for in terms of any possible installation snafus. And, true-to-form, there were NO problems encountered during installation - more on that later.Jo was very professional and took her time with us. We did not feel rushed or a bother at any time during the time she spent with us. She knowingly answered and even called one of the vendors when I asked a very specific question on the electronic blinds that were part of the installation - we got an answer right then and there!When it came the date of installation, Nick and Dan were here promptly at the agreed time of 8am. What a wonderful team! They each came in knowing what had to be done and promptly started with the installation. They walked around in stocking feet the entire time they were here. Dan was unboxing and setting up the blinds so that Nick could seamlessly move from one room to the next. Dan also took away the packing materials as he went.They knew that the Lutron Serena Smart Shades would be the most interesting part of the installation and saved it for last. Dan had started the Lutron shade installation as Nick was working installing the other blinds. Even with the more complicated installation involving the AC-powered shades, they both seamlessly went through the installation including setting up the two Lutron Pico remote switches. Their attention to detail was second-to-none.As they were installing the raceway to conceal the electric wires from the Lutron shades, they showed me the different configurations it could take and asked me which I thought looked the best. When there was a dual-gang electrical switch plate in the way, Nick suggested that he cut the right edge of the plastic plate with his NEW miter saw - a neat device! The raceway now fit like a glove but Nick still was not satisfied. There was a SLIGHT space between the switch plate and the raceway. He asked if Id like him to caulk it. He did and now the switch plate and the raceway appear as one! Talk about ATTENTION TO DETAIL!One (or two) of the corners for the raceway were a SLIGHTLY different shade than the white raceway. Dan was determined to get a match. As they left, Dan said hed be back with the correct color. Within an hour, Dan came back with corner pieces that matched the color of the raceway perfectly!In summary, I was TOTALLY SATISFIED with the measurement, cost, installation and follow-up! I could not be happier! Id HIGHLY RECOMMEND Budget Blinds to anyone looking for blinds.And for those interested in remotely-controlled shades, you will not find anything even close to the Lutron Serena shades. They are AMAZING to watch in operation!!! Im STILL in awe watching the shades being controlled by Alexa, Siri, the Pico Switches or my smartphone! I have over 17 Lutron devices throughout the house. The Lutron Serena shades are every bit as dependable as the other Lutron lighting and fan devices that have performed flawlessly over the last 4 years!

When it came time to think about updating the window treatment in the Oral Surgrey (OMSI-Dr. Larry Pepper) I have to admit I was dreading the thought of having to deal with pushy sales people. That was not at all what I encountered from the start with Mark from Budiet Blinds he came in looked at what we have told me what he could offer and then let us make the decision on what to do at oit own pace. I never felt pressured into anything. He was able to work around our crazy surgery schedule for when I did need to meet with him. He schedule installation when it would not interfere with patient care The installation team was amazing with the removal and installation of over 30 blinds in a little over a days time and they cleaned up.after thenslaves like they werent even there. I thought they were great. We were offered temporary blinds until our blinds were made. The installer did a good job and was out quickly. We had a bad string on one of the blinds and the manager came out the next day. He ordered a new blind for us.
Ive used budget blinds for numerous projects and I can say they always are very professional and get the job right the first time. I also know I just had a problem with some drapes they installwd quite a few years ago and they were able to match it perfectly without even coming to look ! I wouldnt recommend anyone else. These folks are wonderful! Mark Toto and I think his wifes name is Beth are both very friendly and helpful. Lots of samples to choose from that are brought to your house for selection. No high pressure. Blinds fit perfect! Nick installed them and he did a fantastic job! He was quick, proficient, and very polite. He brings his own little rug to put his shoes on and then proceeds to work in his stocking feet so as to not dirty your house. I was very impressed with those little extras that let you know they really care! If I had more windows...or would ever decide to replace those that I purchased, I would definitly go back to the Totos at Budget Blinds

I went to this budget blinds excited to hopefully find and purchase blinds for our new house. They asked where I lived and when I said Mechanicsburg, they quickly shuffled me out of the store by saying that they dont service that area. If I ever did live in Hershey, Harrisburg, or Carlisle in the future...I would definitely not go back to this store. Do yourself a favor and shop Hunter Douglas or Lowes for better customer service.
Didnt like how it was explained how they conduct business. I dont need someone demanding to schedule an appointment with my husband and me in order to do business because thats their policy. At 55 years old, I know who will make the decision and pay for blinds in my home and my husband has no interest in interior decorating. Additionally, I mentioned several times that I have not purchased blinds since the 90s and needed assistance. However, very little attention or assistance was given to me to help me with figuring out the appropriate blinds for me. Only 1 book was pulled out at my insistence so I decided to leave my name and number for them to contact me just to see if there is any follow up. I have heard nothing from them as of today which was more than a week ago. Wont be doing business with them!

I wanted to let you know how happy I am with the plantation shutters installed in my home last week. They look great and give the rooms a whole new look! Nick and Sam did a great job installing everything.
I toyed with should I or shouldnt I write this review. If I could go back and redo the appointment and later sales with Budget Blinds, I would go elsewhere. Taking into consideration my remote location, yet it was still within the fine print of franchise responsible for my zip code. I was turned off by the policy provided on phone to me from employee. I was told on the phone that this BB would come out for a consultation, but not for free. I did the online schedule a free in-home consultation, but it was not so (free). The employee said in order to come out to my location, they will charge me $500. If I decide to not use their business, they keep the $500 to come out. If I decided to use their business, that $500 goes into the price of items. I never heard of this kind of shocking charge and I did not see this anywhere on the website.Nevertheless, I went forward with the consultation appointment. I did this based on the associate I talked to on the phone providing me a quote that was cheaper than another business I got a quote from. I did express I was trying to be budget friendly with my purchase, or I wouldnt had continued asking questions if money werent a factor. Well... the appointment came and at the end, the amount was 3x higher than quoted on the phone. Ill give the employee the benefit of the doubt in giving the quote, as more details came up during the consultation in-home, she wouldnt have known likely added to the cost, but I quietly was in shock of the final price. Then I was in the dilemma of thinking if I didnt go with them, I just will have paid them $500 for a consult that was within their zip code. A 2 hour appointment would have cost me $500. Thats a hard pill to swallow.Bottom line, I have regretted this sales transaction from day one. A huge bad taste in my mouth for the $500 charge to just come out and the final price (even with discount) being 3x more than I expected or quoted.For the very few I have told about this entire transaction, they feel I am a fool, and that after being told $500 just to come out, I should have moved onto someone else in a huge hurry. Of all the purchases Ive made so far in this home, this one is my most regretted purchase. I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again.I give myself zero stars and have no one to blame but myself. In the end, I didnt have to sign on the dotted line. V/r

First time in the store. Maybe a great place, but customer service ranks the lowest possible. Picture the scene out of the movie pretty woman where you are treated terrible during all aspects of your time in the store and feel like you would never do business with this company. Talked down to about prices and told if we want cheap to go elsewhere, before we even said a word. Told there’s really nothing we can look at in the store and we’re hovered over like we were going to steal samples or who knows what. Truth be told, it was only one worker we dealt with, so hopefully only one of her personalities exists in this company.

When I made the appointment for an at-home consultation, and in response to the Budget Blinds Hershey franchise owners direct inquiry, I voluntarily disclosed a competing vendors quote for my window treatment project. I concurrently mentioned the significantly lower project cost that I wanted to configure with BB. The same information was provided to the representative who visited my house to take measurements and discuss material samples. The rep acknowledged my project cost requirement by mentioning a then-current sales promotion. It provided a 40% discount against the regular prices of the brands and materials from which I had made my selections. With all of this in mind, I expected the BB quote to meet my previously stated project cost of $1K.The quote later provided by BB, representing treatment for one window, was in fact a bit higher than the competing vendors quote; both were ~$1.6K. After the expiration of the aforementioned 40% sale, which was just 3 calendar days after the rep provided the quote to me, BBs quote increased to an astonishing $2.5K.All of the preceding information was relayed to the rep, and the franchise owner, in writing. Neither has responded with an acknowledgement or explanation of why my instructions were completely disregarded, or why my time, and ultimately theirs, was wasted. Those who decide to do business with this particular franchise location should proceed with intelligence and caution.
The woman at the desk could not have possibly been any less helpful and was clearly annoyed to see a person walk through her door. I was shocked to see so many 5 star reviews for this establishment, but then I looked more closely and noticed that most of the 5 star reviews are from accounts that have no activity on Google other than the 5 star review of this place, so I suspect that they are less than legit.
Stopped in because our battery operated blind wont work. Its high and needs an extension ladder to get to. They want $149 for a service call plus the cost of the batteries. OUTRAGEOUS!

Very customer service friendly me and the blind tech talked about my sports mini Cooper which was pretty cool he likes mini coopers so I showed him mine the install went quick I told him when I saw the blind that he looks like a master at what he does I told him I’m thinking about getting another blind for my egress window in the basement if I do get another blind are use the same company again takes a while to order the blinds but that’s OK the wait is worth it

Was pleased to hear that it was definitely a FREE estimate, no obligation.The person who took my information was polite, professional and thorough.The estimator arrived on time as expected. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. No pressure. She was very insightful and considerate.The price was very reasonable - WAAAYYY less than I was expecting.Installer called to set-up time, and arrived as scheduled. He offered to remove his shoes and wore a mask the entire time. He was efficient and professional. Showed me how the blinds work and how to clean them. 2021-12-28Had two 20 year old Hunter Douglas blinds. Both had to be replaced…, I called Budget Blinds. Within a week or so I had an in home appointment with Brigitte. She was very knowledgeable & I orderedreplacements . I expected delivery in 3-4 months….today, 6 weeks later Sam installed them & did a wonderful job! Very pleased & would recommend Budget Blinds to anyone.

It’s clear they take great pride in their work. I had an issue with a product that resulted in the owner coming out just to pick new materials, and Nick & Nick were just as professional and efficient as always with the new installation.
