Budget Car Rental in other cities:
I got the type of car I wanted at a decent price, and although the Budget rental place at the Philly airport was busy on a Friday afternoon, the folks at the counter were helpful and efficient. Turn-in was simple and quick, and the guys working outside were helpful and personable. Ive rented from Budget several times lately and have never had a problem.
Reserving the car was easy, getting the car not so much. Waited in line for over 2 hours just to get to the counter. We ended up with a vehicle covered in dog hair and smelling like wet dog. A few days in now the car started making a noise, we called Budget not wanting to drive any further than absolutely necessary. Spoke to a rep and we were told that a replacement vehicle has been reserved for us 20 mins away. (As opposed to the 3 hour drive to the airport where we rented it) Easy and excellent! Only when we arrived at the address we were given it was an Avis. No help. And of course we could not contact the same rep we started the process with. We were transferred repeatedly to multiple people in multiple departments, none of which could do anything. Everybody said I feel your pain, but could make nothing happen.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as we are still trying to get it handled safely.
The shuttle was quick, clean and efficient. The driver was great. I stepped off the shuttle less than a half hour after my plane landed even though I had a short wait at the carousel for my bag. However, the line at the Budget Rental car was out the door and starting to loop around the parking lot. It took 45 minutes to get to the counter. Then I waited another 45 minutes for my car to show up. This was around 2pm on the Thursday before Fathers Day.
I give this place a 4 star because they went out of their way to upgrade us at no extra cost.I give them a 2 star for not even having their a/c on and it was so HOT!I give them a 1 star for what my husband and I witnessed...where the clerk was trying to force a man to get a vehicle that he couldnt drive and that he and his 4 or five children were there waiting for such a long time and he was trying to force him to drive a bus that he couldnt! But he did end up giving the man what he needed...but it was a loud argument as such as seen on the tv show regarding tickets. But we did get a fair price and service and they were courteous with us. The very big car and smooth ride was not something we were going to complain about :)
Worst experience of my life. The budget rep brought the car out and said, “don’t worry about the rear passenger tire. I fixed it.”After driving out of the city to my destination, the tire went completely flat. Budget took 45 mins to get in touch with, finally passed me off to Roadside Assistance, which then turned this experience even worse. The roadside assistance service was the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. The rep gave me the run around with excuse after excuse for the next 3.5 hrs WHILE WE WERE COMPLETELY STRANDED IN THE HEAT WAITING! The rep kept lying and would use random excuses ranging from traffic, to servicing another client, to being on his way. What a joke.I finally was able to receive help from a stranger who had a jack and was able to help me swap out for the donut. All the while, budget and roadside assistance was not concerned about our safety or well-being while we were stranded.I will never rent from budget again, nor would I recommend you to.
If it were possible to give 0 out of 5, would give it. Didnt have a problem with my checkout person, he was actually pleasant. But was disappointed in how long it took for me to check out. Officially checked in at 12:02pm. Didnt get into vehicle until 2:02pm then had to wait another 10-20 minutes for the long line of cars ahead of me also trying to leave. Very, unorganized system of picking up cars. Plenty of people came in after me and got their cars and not all of them were FastBreak members. Sat around and joked with other waiting, miserable customers as to cheer and take bets on whoever would get their cars first. Thats what I get for trying to save money. After reading reviews, found out that this delay was a typical day. So be warned, its not worth the hassle, go with another company.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. When I got to Budget to pick up my car, everyone was extremely rude. There was a worker driving cars from the car wash (I’m guessing the car wash because they were wet like they were just washed) and going about 40-45 mph in the parking lot. He was literally turning corners on 2 wheels in a black 4Runner. I had rented 2 car seats and a booster seat. I was told there was one car seat, but nothing else. I asked for that car seat and was told to load my car up and wait for the seat to be brought to my car. One of the workers was consistently blowing a horn at me to move while waiting (I was right next to my parking spot). I waited 20-25 minutes and finally sent my husband in. They told him there were no more car seats, so we had to go buy car seats when we left the dealership for our kids. If car seats can be reserved, then inventory should be kept on how many are rented out so people don’t have to buy car seats to use for one week or so, and people don’t have to have their kids riding without them. Then to make us wait that long before letting us know was ridiculous. We also never got refunded for the car seats because it was pre-paid, even though I was told I would be refunded. Every single worker I interacted with was rude and acted like I was bothering them by trying to pick up a car I rented. I will NEVER use this Budget again, I will let everyone know to NEVER use this Budget, and I will let them know that they STEAL your money.
WORST!!!!!WORST!!!!The worst customer service experience I ever had. I did have some hope because the bus transportation guy was kind and helpful. When he dropped us off it was a whole new attitude. People acted like they are to cool to work and do their job. I waited and hour to get my car because it wasn’t even ready. I watched the guy whom cleans the cars and he clearly works by the hour and not per car. He had 8 cars backed up and he was moving like he had only one. I am taking this comment and cop/ paste on all sites I can to warn people about this experience.
At first I thought this was a great experience, and the in-person experience was and the car was very nice and clean. However, whether it be because they don’t typically disclose this information willingly or not, they failed to inform me of all of the extra fees that came along with renting the car. Because this was my first experience renting a car and being in a city I had never been before, I did not know to ask all of these questions. My bill was originally just shy of $200 but when I saw the final posting on my bank account it was $345. There were $145 worth of different fees that they never once explained to me. Though I should’ve been a little more inquisitive, I feel like it is also a very shady practice to not inform your customers of all of these fees beforehand. Not satisfied.
Rate was good, but car was dirty and staff was aloof. Lots of confusion just trying to get a vehicle cause keys were not in the one they sent me to. Car didnt have a full tank of gas. Shuttle bus comes infrequently, or not at all. Had to walk over to Avis to get a shuttle back to the terminal for my return trip because I waited so long at the budget bus stop a Budget employee said I was better off going somewhere else for a ride into the airport. You get what you pay for.
I prepaid for my rental. Then two weeks later they charged my card for 79 dollars. I filled the car with gas and I returned the car online. I paid all my tolls also. I tried calling but no one answered or I was transferred to the billing center. No one could help. I have rented from here a few times. Its never a smooth transition
BEWARE!!!!!!!!No paper work after returned the car an told me could take 72hrs to get it and my deposit really funny they are quick to take your money but slow to return it. Plus to top it off car was dirty couldnt see put the whindsheld when u put on the wipes. When I picked up the tried to go out the exit and no one gives you direction there definitely renting else where when I returnUpdate still have yet to get a receipt and there is a charge of 33 dollars on my account for gas and the car was filled up
I have used Budget almost exclusively for over 20 years. They used to be great. Now, they are horrible. I never get the car I booked. Shuttles run 20% of what other rental car companies run so you waste more time. Staff is rude and pricing is higher than competitors. They have lost a long time customer for good after the past few rentals.
I rented a car in June with no issues. Returned it and went on my way. Then in December I get a charge for $212 on my credit card. After 1 hour on the phone I find out they are trying to charge me for damage (damage that was not pointed out when i returned the car and was non-existent as I did a close inspection). I finally got them to agree to reverse the charge and they sent me a letter saying it would be reversed within 72 hours and they apologized for the inconvenience. When the credit never showed up I asked why and 4 days later got a response that the charges were valid. So 6 months after the car is returned they are still making up charges. Will never rent from Budget or Avis again.
Rental a car here last Friday March 11th 2022 this is how DIRTY the car was handed to me. I arrived at the airport from phoenix AZ, after sitting on my flight for 4 hours with my 6 months old, I was super tired and didnt pay attention until I arrived at my destination. It was smelling and just very dirty as you can see below. NEVER AGAIN!!
Customer service at pickup was great, car was also very clean and an excellent ride.However...Poor customer service at drop off.Was told just to leave the keys in the car and proceed to the shuttle no check in was necessary.4 days later we get an invoice for three additional days of rental saying the car was never checked in.Now tied up in the claims resolution process, hopefully budget does the right thing.
From start to finish a 1 star experience. While we stood and watch shuttle after shuttle go by at the ground transporting stop. After 15 minutes I was tempted to take a different agencies bus and walk to Budget when one finally came. Unfortunately it was full and the next one came a few minutes later. The clerks in the rental building were to put it mildly...rude. We were not advised to keep our license handy as it was needed to get off the lot. The car had no windshield washer fluid, was not full of gas, and the drivers seat belt did not function properly. The only redeeming quality was an easy drop-off and the shuttle driver back to the airport was a true Philidalphian...friendly, courteous, a little humor tossed in and an excellent driver. (Middle aged African American man)
I rented a car for work in the area. I come to Phila and NJ once a month. This time I decided to try a different rental car service which was a mistake. There was damage to the vehicle to the front and rear when I picked it up. Parking sensor failure warning continued to display the entire retail period. The vehicle had an odor of smoke. Windows were streaked and had a film on the inside. Wait to pick up the vehicle was over 30 minutes and the fuel tank was not even full. The cost of the retail was nearly the same as other competitors in the area but slightly less. I guess you get a clean car, no damage, and no warning lights and a full tank of gas for an extra couple of bucks per day. I will not rent through Budget again.
If your time is equally as important as your money, I would not recommend using budget to save a few dollars. Arrived on a Friday mid-morning which I would expect to be busier than most times. However, it took over 90 minutes to get through the line to get a vehicle. There was little professionalism and clearly management is not involved to help the demeanor of the team or efficiency of the process.
Our plane was delayed at Philly International Airport, so it was 2 a.m. when we arrived at the Budget rental office to pick up our car. Despite a long line, the young agent was friendly & calm. They were out of vehicles in the class we reserved, so he gave us an upgraded vehicle that was available. The car was really dirty on the outside probably b/c they were just too busy in the middle of the night to wash it, but we were still appreciative!
I give 4 stars only because of the poor quality of the website. Budget needs to budget more $s for tech support. The website is not easy to maneuver nor is it built to help a traveller who needs access to info immediately. The 1-800 number is also not useful. The people in the airport Budget office were organized and helpful. The guy who drove the shuttle was helpful and pleasant. Budget, as an organization, not so helpful or pleasant.
This place is the worst ever one star is being too gracious. I booked my reservation under the charge me now option 3 weeks ago. Nowhere on the site does it state that Debit cards arent acceptable. I stated I wasnt flying out selected the vehicle and the transaction processed. My account was hacked last week so I called budget to advise I have a new card they looked over my reservation and again specified it was a debit card customer service didnt flinch. 6/17 I drive down to the airport to get the rental. I arrive at 10 and stand in the line until 11 and give ny I.D and my Debit card and the young lady in rudely states we dont take that you need a credit card. To which I state the website doesnt indicate that as it charged my card. I asked how long a refund would be and if I could speak to someone as they refused to do anything she flagged in the direction of a Manager. After standing in yet another line he rudely ask is there something I need or do I have a question. By this time I re-reviewing the fine print about the usage of a Debit card. When he finally called us to the desk and I explained the situation He stated it was nothing he could do do expressing that locals have to use credit cards and I would only be able to use Debit if I flew in and had a itinerary. I had been planning a trip for sometime which was the Intention of booking. The Manager stated he cant help me and just threw my way a brochure for customer service. I call customer service and am on the phone for 2 hours trying to talk to someone. They tell me there is nothing they can do, and due to the bank Im out 339 dollars for the next 3-5 days while I still am in need of a vehicle. They finally cancel my reservation, while I remain on the phone trying to get a refund. I spoke to a representative who expressed that my refund would be issued to the same bank card the bank forfeited. The representative told me I needed to email someone regarding my incident, and when I asked if there was anyone I could I speak to above him that understood what I was stating. His response was I could hang up and try again. I spent another 1.5 hours trying to rectify the situation. This was the worst experience of customer service
We were not able to get the type of vehicle we were promised & paid for. I was told I would have to contact customer services for a partial refund. Not sure why I had to do this, as it was their mistake, not mine. Young man at the desk was cordial. He was not at fault. So I wound up paying big bucks for a mini van. At least it was okay on gas mileage.
I was advised the gas tank was full. The gauge showed the needle on full but the screen showed 390 miles based on the level of fuel. I opted to fill the tank up before turning the car in. When I filled the tank up, the needle was on Full; however, I had 475 drivable miles based on the level of the tank. Also, the total charge provided on the reservation was less then what I was actually charged. Beware!
Do NOT RENT here. Shockingly BAD service and equally ABSURD process of simply picking up a car. My experience started at the PHL airport upon arrival when the wait for the shuttle surpassed 20 minutes, as other rental companys buses passed by - more than once.My travel clock was reset after getting off the over-crowded shuttle. The line was out the door. Bad service flag #2. Another 20 minutes (at least) later, I stepped up the counter, hosted by the least interested rental agent in the history of rental agents. She hammered keystrokes, swiped my card, and oddly requested a vehicle via walkie-talkie (2-way radio).Hmm, thats curious. Other agents were doing it too. Then, without saying anything to me, she leaned back in her chair and picked up her device and started scrolling (FB? IG? Other?). Silence.Hi, I said. Curious, why am I waiting?Your car, she said. I thought she said my Card.Oh, some times systems are very slow so I waited, another minute.Hi again, whats the problem? She put her device down and said, Im waiting for your car. Hes fueling it up or cleaning it.NEVER in all my years of renting vehicles have I experienced a process of waiting / checking in / agent calls on a 2-way radio / wait at counter / they call back when theyre on their way / step outside and wait more / they pull the vehicle to the curb and get out and walk away.Is that my car or yours?I was at least savvy enough to check my emailed paperwork before walking out - for the type & color of vehicle as to ID it when it rolled up. Others did not and there was more confusion. From the time I stepped off the shuttle bus to the time I was leaving the lot - it was approx 1 hour. A mental note made for the return...9 days later, another first for renting vehicles - No return lot Agent waiting to check the car back in. A laughable sign; Please... go to counter to return. The line was out the door - again. F that. I snapped a photo of the dashboard and the clock, left the keys in the car, and waited 20 minutes for the shuttle back to airport. I had allowed ample time. Others did not.Do NOT RENT here.
When arriving at the Budget Rental, we were all very tired from flying and wanted to get back on the road to our final destination. There was a minor miscommunication on my sons part as he didnt read all the terms of the rental agreement in regards of this company not taking cash payments. No problem. I ended up paying for the rental on my credit card and we got the vehicle we originally wanted. The rental clerk was very knowledgeable and very patient with us southerners. We will be renting from Budget again in the near future as their rates are cheaper than other companies and we got a better vehicle than most rental companies allow.
Criminally mismanaged and Terribly Understaffed at rush hour on a Monday evening after a holiday. Waiting for my rental is taking as long as my flight. After waiting in line 45 minutes many people are having to then wait an additional 20 to 30 minutes on a rental car to become available. Unbelievable.
One of the only bright spots in visiting Philly! The desk associates were extra helpful and friendly, even helped me resolve an issue with the gas (my rental contract stated that the tank was full, when it was barely half-full), and overall the one Latinx gentleman is a gem! Give him a raise and promotion immediately, because he intimately understands what great customer service entails!
Budget Car Rental at both the PHL and LGA airports are completely incompetent. Not only were both facilities disorganized and causing huge delays (1.5 hours at each) compared to any other car rental facility I’ve rented from, they also entered the mileage when I returned as 22,482 miles driven in 4 days!! Not only is that humanly impossible, that would mean I drove an average of 234 mph for 4 days straight, faster than an Indy 500 driver, but in a 4-cylinder hybrid!! It would be funny if it was not so ridiculously incompetent. Charged my credit card over $10K, and absolutely no one who entered the mileage or did the billing stopped for one moment to think “is this right?”. The lady in Budget customer service on the phone was nice and apologetic, but this will take 3-5 business days on their end to clear up. I’ve rented several times from Hertz and Enterprise the past 6 months with no problems, so this is not an issue with the Pandemic. This is an issue with competency. Avoid Budget.
Location: Philadelphia airport. Manager: SteveWe booked online and completed fast track process. Upon arriving, we were told by the location that our reservation was cancelled. When we called customer service they told us this was not the case and that our reservation had not been cancelled. Steve, the manager told us to call customer service for assistance instead of directly helping us. Customer service offered to stay on the phone with us and we stayed on hold with customer service for 30 minutes as we waited to speak to the manager, Steve. The manager refused to work with us and the staff at the location was incredibly unhelpful. We eventually got back in line, an hour later where they finally told us that we could continue with our reservation. We are incredibly disappointed in the service we received and will not be using Budget again.
Very difficult to work with. Unpleasant counter personnel. I recommend going elsewhere. Even though they were the best quote I got, by the time they tracked on extras, they were well above the next 2 quotes. Also, they dont maintain their vehicles. Car had a bad shimmy when driving at posted speed limits. When I informed them they took no action and really didnt care. I dont recommend using this car rental service.
Worst experience ever at a rental car company. We had a very late flight coming in to PHL at midnight. Shuttle driver overpacked the shuttle. When we arrived to the rental building, the staff was slow to help. I got to the counter, had to check the screen to make sure I wasnt over charged for anything twice. They told me to go wait outside and someone would bring the car to me. We waited over an hour, no car. As I went back in to ask whats going on, I was told, we dont perform magic here. The staff again didnt help and finally after getting frustrated with them, I asked why there were 10 people waiting (including myself) for cars and people behind us are getting their cars immediately. They gave my car to someone else! Ill never use Budget again. Ill stick to Hertz or Enterprise where my reservation is confirmed always and I can get into my car and off to my destination. One star because I cant give a 0.
Late at night pick up. They were having an incident at Avis so we had to walk to Budget from the shuttle bus. The outside of the car was filthy. They must have driven through a lot of snow and salt. Made me wonder how clean the inside was. Price of the rental was good.
Everytime we fly here and rent from budget. Count on a 2 hour wait at minimum.I also was given a rental agreement for a specific car (validated by license plate)then watched another person get in MY Rental then proceeded to drive through the security gate!!! The gate attendant let them through without validating the rental! I had to wait in line again to get another rental! When I received the 2nd rental the tank was on 3/4 and Im expected to bring it back full. This is the worst managed budget in the United States. My company is steering away from budget due to how bad the service is.
It took 20 minutes to catch a bus at the airport. There was a long line when we arrived to pick up our rental. Employees were chit chatting with each other and using their phones during our check out process and our emailed receipt said we accepted Budget’s liability coverage, but we specifically declined because we had our own rental car liability coverage. The vehicle also had a large dent in the rear passenger door but nobody did a walk around with me so I stressed about being charged for it. When I called customer service to talk about the insurance and dent issues, the rep said he would document the door dent and discount the insurance by 50%. I reiterated that we had full rental coverage elsewhere and he eventually said the Budget coverage would be removed. However, I was still charged for it today. I usually rent cars when traveling (and have even rented large trucks from Budget for moving) but I will never be using Budget again.
We had a reservation for 3:30 pm on Friday 6/17. When we arrived to pick up the car, there were over 50 people in line waiting outside the building to rent cars. We had to wait 1 hour and 25 minutes to get to the counter. The clerk only asked if I wanted insurance and did not ask me about gas presale or the toll option. We waited another 20 minutes before he booked a car for us. Then people who were far behind us in line were getting their cars first while my car was still waiting to be washed. I waited another 30 minutes before my car was ready. It was still wet and no one came out to show me how the mirror controls worked. This was the worst rental experience I have ever had.
Car prep was substandard. Trash in rear cup holder, outside rear trunk surface had not been cleaned in car wash, tire pressure warning light came on at pickup for one tire inflated well below rating, and oil change warning alert was on for the entire rental. Car ran and drove fine, just sloppy prep and poor attention to detail.
My recent rental was very poor. I rented from the Airport. I was given a car that was not in the selected condition to travel over $800 mikes. I told the representativeabout the service warnings He advised that I could take it to any other budget rental to swap if I was uncomfortable . upon travel I noticed that there was a crack on the window shield. I immediately contacted the customer roadside assistant. I was told to go to another location to pickup a vehicle. I was offered an upgraded vehicle but being I was traveling so far and with the gas rate My trip would have been too expensive. I dont believe that my safety was a concern...This should have been corrected at the beginning. Safety should be a priority...especially if the company has completive rates. I would like to let it be known that customer ratification and a safe travel was not a concern of Budget...and I am extremely disappointed behind the outcome.
The positives - the car did not break down, The interior was clean, the Apple CarPlay worked, the staff was friendlyThe negatives- I waited an hour for my car and after 45 minutes when I went and asked one of the agents what was taking so long it was at that point they informed me that there was a nail in the tire and they were replacing my car and it would be out shortly. This 45 minute delay Caused me to miss one of my meetings that had to be rescheduled and I now have to come back in two weeks. The exterior although recently washed was still filthy with smashed bugs on the windshield and all over the front of the car. The car although supposed to be a non-smoking car was smoked in and was covered up with some sort of spray air freshener so I could not detect it right away but my allergy sensitivity caused me to realize this after feeling some allergic issues within the next few hours. They do not have systems in place it seems nor penalties as they say they do for people that smoke in cars. It’s supposed to be a $250 fine but this is the second rental that I’ve had in a month with the same budget at the airport in Philadelphia where I’ve had to swap out cars due to them being smoked in. For most people it’s an inconvenience because of the smell, for me it’s a health issue, which for me, is going to result in a dr visit from a sinus infection.
The worst travel experience in a long time. Shuttle bus took 35 minutes to arrive, No Fast Break available on arrival, had to wait in line for 40 minutes to get a car. Reserved car was gone, 1st vehicle had flat battery (Along with 3 other vehicles in the lot with flat batteries). Got stuck with a higher mileage minivan for 1 person.Second time in three weeks Budget screwed me over. I am going back to Hertz. Budget doesnt care, its shows in everything they do in the past year.
Reservation was made on 7 June 2022 for a car at the PHL airport location. The cost of the two day rental was to be $169.42. On day of travel aircraft was late and upon arrival at the rental location 50 customers were in line to get cars - a 90 min wait outside the building. A budget employee told me the only way to get a car was to be a fast break member. I called Budget and signed up for Fast Break also asking it there would be a change in price. I was told it will probably be cheaper. I went ahead and took the fast break number (D0H67R) and got a car, but the price had more than doubled ($382.22). This car was clean on the inside but the outside windows were not cleaned. Upon driving 30 miles the oil warning light came on and I had to spend over an hour and ten dollars to obtain two quarts of oil. When I returned the car the employee did not provide a receipt saying its all done electronically. and no opportunity to recoup the money I spent on the oil. Finally, reviewing the charges on my credit card, budget is charging me for two cars ($551.64) even though there was only one reservation number throughout this ordeal . This is the worst car rental experience I have had in 40 years. The unprofessional conduct of the PHL location plus the poor communications of the people answering the 800 numbers have caused this problem. DONT rent from Budget at this location.
My first thoughts about this rental car place was anger. The line took longer than expected, by 2 hours. 🤦♂️ only 1 person working the front desk while there was a huge line basically going out of the door. I will make sure to rent my cars from Hertz for now on and will never use this waste of space.
Do not come here for a rental..I booked online a week in advance & still had to wait in line for 2 hours to get the vehicle. When I returned the vehicle, which was a day early (May 30th) I was charged for the full days that I booked, the guy working there said I would not be charged. They also charged me a week later for the key, which was returned within minutes of me forgetting it. It took almost a month for me to get my money back for that. I had to dispute it with my credit card company.
Absolutely a horrible experience. My original flight got canceled so I had to change my rental pickup to a different airport. When I called Budget customer service to change the pickup location they upped the original price by over $100. After I arrived at the pickup location Budget once again upped the cost this time bringing it over $500 from the original price even though it was for the same duration as the original rental agreement. I was traveling with my daughter and needed a vehicle so I had no choice but to pay the amount that Budget had upped it to. I will never use them again and definitely will not recommend them to anyone.
Terrible!!! Don’t rent from here. I returned my car 8 days ago and they are still showing it as an open agreement. No one answers calls or responds to requests. Even the corporate numbers hang up or keep you on hold forever. I still can’t get my issue resolved! I am a regular business traveler and I will never rent from budget again. They lost my business!
Worst experience renting a car. Agent wanted a card for the rental I had already paid for with a card online to charge another $250 to for incidentals. This was for work. No ability to take tap to pay and would not enter the card I had stored on my phone. Saod he had to have the physical card. Would not take the card I had available. The agent was extremely rude. Will never use budget again.
Two separate vehicles from same location with transmission issues. I returned the first vehicle after pressing gas pedal and the car didn’t move, the engine just revved. The second vehicle would make a loud knock when I went from park to reverse and then from reverse to drive. For the amount of money paid, please make sure your vehicles are in proper mechanical condition before renting them out. The bright spot here was Mr Scott the manager who was accommodating to me on exchanging my 1st first vehicle. I would like to see management reach back out to me regarding this reservation #439994144.
Big shoutout to Devin from Budget! We were extremely grateful for his time and the wonderful service he has provided. While assisting us, Devin was extremely engaging and sincere. With his help, we were able to get back home in a timely fashion after having issues with our flight. Thank you once again Devin!
I rarely give a lousy review, but this was pretty well earned. Flew into Philly after a flight delay and had a Budget Rental reserved on my business account. It took over 30 minutes to be picked up at the airport and then another 20 minutes in line at the counter (only 1 associate working), only to find out that our car was not available. We were given an alternate car and quickly accepted that because we were already late. The car was a nightmare: Broken USB ports, so we could not hook up/charge our phones and no GPS available. On top of that, when you hit the brakes, the whole front end would shake and bounce. Bad alignment, warped rotors?Because we were constantly racing the clock on this trip we hung in there, but it was awful. We then returned the car back to the lot and asked for a shuttle to our hotel...Nope, call an UBER. Thanks Budget.
Over an hour wait to get my car and over an hour wait with the rudest people I have ever seen in a business. They appear to be very proud to treat their customers like we were lucky to to be getting a car from them. No one from my company will ever rent from them again.
Made a car reservation and had it confirmed the night before. I get off the airplane to get my car just to be told it would be another 20 minutes. There were several other customers waiting. When I brought up I had reserved the whole day before, the clerk told me everyone did too buddy! I walked over to Avis and got a car in a couple of minutes. This is the worst budget Ive ever had the displeasure of using. Flights are getting cancelled more often now. Car rentals need have more competence since some of us have been delayed for days trying to get home.
Pretty loose group. Check-in went ok, but they do not provide paperwork anymore. No one told the guy at the gate who insisted on seeing paperwork. Return was worse. No one there to receive or even look at the car and fuel gauge with me. Went inside to get a receipt and was told I would have to wait for an e-receipt. Week later - have not received an e-receipt. Waiting for someone to tell me I didn’t return the car. Not a good system.Car was in good condition and drove well.
Airport shuttle took 34 minutes to arrive.I rented a Prius but there was none available when I arrived. There were not any hybrids so we had to rent a Kia soul. This process took nearly an hour. The car had 1/3 tank of gas when we picked it up and we returned it with over half a tank of gas, yet we were charged $48 in gas for no reason.Completely dissatisfied and feel scammed by Budget.
Wish I could give it zero stars. Budget misrepresented its policies from the start- a $190 reservation suddenly became $490- however the agent assured me $200 of it was a refundable deposit. I paid and was on my way. The agent said she had sent the “service agreement” to my email, so I thought all was well…Boy was I wrong. No service agreement was ever sent, not even when I asked the agent to send me the service agreement upon returning the car. Once I had returned the car, budget began taking additional funds from my account. I called customer service to track down what exactly these charges were for, and after begrudgingly agreeing to refund the $85 they had helped themselves to, I asked when I would be getting my deposit credited to my account. The agent hung up on me. I tried to call again but was hung up on as soon as the call was picked up.BEWARE budget in general, but this location specifically. If you must rent from them, insist on a hard copy of the service agreement before you ever leave the lot. Shady, underhanded business practices from a motley crew of motherless buffoons.
Traveling with a 1 year old child is stressful enough but this place made it so much worse!!! The shuttle from the airport took about a half hour so I had to stand outside with my toddler and luggage while watching other car rental shuttles repeatedly pass us. We finally get there and customer service was SO RUDE. An hour after my reserved time, my car still wasn’t ready. Anyway, I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I rented a car seat off of them and 20 mins into the drive I noticed BUGS crawling all over my daughter! I pulled over somewhere in Philly and once I took her out the bugs scattered under the cushions of the car seat. Not only did customer service not help at all, they still made us pay FULL PRICE for this terrible experience and we even had to pay for the car seat. I wound up having to borrow a car seat from a friend because the one they gave me was so dirty. I have pictures and videos of this awful experience:(
1 star is for a kind shuttle operator. Im a business traveler and have been waiting a week for a receipt to file an expense report. They clearly have figured out the billing details as I was charged the next day, but somehow cant email a receipt like other rental companies. The customer service is difficult to understand and theyre useless. There was a huge backup up cars upon car return and we barely all fit in the small, smelly shuttle (they call them a bus here for some reason). Avoid Budget!!
Please don’t waste your time with this unprofessional company. If there was a rating for zero stars - believe me, I would give them that. The agent on call was super rude and non-accommodating to the fact that we got to the airport after a 2 hour delayed around 2 AM and after 2 hours the supposedly “shuttle” NEVER ARRIVED. Apparently they had only one, and they have no ETA, and sit keep repeating like a recorder that you “just have to wait for the shuttle. Such lack of customer service and collaboration. They never EVER get my money.
Run down, pretty gross place. I booked through Costco, confirmed pricing, declined extra services (insurance), got back and it was about $250 more. Asked them why, they said I didn’t decline any services according to the signed paperwork. I never even got any paperwork to sign. They said I would have to call customer service. Took a bit, but did get a hold of customer service, who said they would refund the difference. However, I will not be renting from Budget again in the future, especially this location.
The 8th circle of hellIts not the employees fault - its the outpost that the Budget mother ship forgot. Spent 2 hellish hours simply waiting for a car...any car...to be returned, so they could wash it, clean it, and turn it around. You know, because there wasnt a single car on the lot that was rentable. What type of car did you reserve? Who cares! Youll be lucky to get anything with 4 wheels today. If this is the travel of the future, its time to really consider how to avoid renting cars ever again.
Staffing at this location was horrible. I felt bad for Devin he was so nice even under the circumstance of practically being alone. The line was out the door at 12am. Almost an hour wait for my pre paid vehicle and then minutes after driving off their lot the tire pressure light came on. Placed air in the tires twice. Second time no air was needed. Did not go on a planned event because I was to nervous to drive it the distance I needed. As much as I paid I shouldn’t have had to cancel any plans because of a tire censor that should have been fixed!!Help Devin out and get him some help on that night shift!!!! No one wants to wait hours just to rent a vehicle. Apparently this location’s staffing is a problem even during the day. Line was way out the door at 3:00 pm when I dropped the vehicle back off. Truly not sure if I’d rent from Budget again….
Staff at this location are just not good and need to be replaced. Stood in a line of 0 people waiting for both people to get off their phones. Person who checks me in to pick up a car says nothing to me, no info on the insurance policies, no info on the fuel options. When I get the car, it did not have a full tank of gas like the contract I signed said, and as others have stated, the mileage listed was completely off by a digit, meaning it said 2900 miles when the car actually had 29000. Completely stupid and careless place, I would never go back there.
I always have an issue with Budget Phila airport location. As I am a Fastbreak and frequent customer the rental process should be smooth especially online rental I always use and it works perfect with all other locations other than philly airport. Recent rentals I had several issues and the staff is so arrogant, unprofessional and dont care attitude. Last week rental the girl (SHANYA) took my reservation was very rude, couldnt swipe my card and demanded another card which is not preferred as business trips are charged to specific cards and always as a FastTrack member I get charged to the card on file. Now a days the cards are either chip or tap and not swipes. She hesitated to enter card manually but I saw the agents putting card manually in other terminals and she refused to give me a rental unless I provide another card. Yesterday (5/27) while returning my car I had to switch the card to be billed and another girl who helped to check in she said she doesnt know how to do it and called somebody and got help but when she billed me she put additional refueling charge which was not in my rental and i returned my car with full fuel. The attendant gave me a slip with full fuel and mileage which I gave it to her but she did not put that in the system and added refueling charge of $50 to my invoice. She also did not provide me a receipt saying that the printer is broke and I will get the receipt in my email. Once I got the receipt after reaching home I was surprised with the charges and called customer service and the guy who attended my call said the return with full fuel is not put in the system and he asked for proof and receipt for fueling. After providing info he said he will submit a ticket for review. I remember the customers before me was also questioning about the refueling cost to the girl took care of my check in. It looks like a planned scam these folks might be doing in this location. Unfortunately they wont give me info to report these issues other than providing sales department phone # to call. There is definitely an issue with this location and may be a training issue in this location. Also the managers in this location is not sometimes reachable and sometimes they ignore customer concerns. CUSTOMERS BEWARE about this location. Always take pictures of rentals, manual slips, refueling records before and after rental check in/check out. This place is running some sales scams and definitely watch out.
2 employees couldnt get right mirror to work so just left me to drive without true sight. Had to turn rear view mirror greatly so could see somewhat of cars to the right of me. Drove half blind for my whole 24 hr trip back from Illinois. Ohare staff sucked. Philly personnel were great.
Stay clear of this rental car company. They fraudulently charged us for things not caused by us, almost $2,000 dollars worth. To add insult to injury, there was a massive line when returning the car (due to no staff being present) so no one was available to check the car in with us to review its current condition. Because of this we had to leave it in the return line and went to go catch out flight. I am very disgusted that a company can get away with this!
I am a frequent customer of Budget, usually at the Philadelphia Amtrak location where I have had satisfying experiences. This one at PHL airport was bad on several counts both during pickup and on return. The location manager during return was not a person who can address a customer concern except by trying every possible way to tell the customer that he is wrong. It is not that I think that I cannot be wrong (I was not in this case and my problem was solved, but not by anybody at the Philadelphia airport location) but I would have expected a professional approach to customer service rather than the blatant disregard that i have experienced.
Just not a good experience overall. Long lines, bad service, shortages seem to be all the norm now with travel. I understand that all, the straw that broke this here camels back was the vehicle had the worst odor! It was a mildew, musty, basement stench. I would have returned vehicle but was under time restrictions. Again I dealt with it but under different circumstances I would not have and gone elsewhere.
Would be a 5-star, except for very infrequent shuttles to take travelers to the PHL Budget rental area, and they could have told me by signage or email that Avis is next door and will take you to Budget in their shuttle. Also, although the final receipt was correct and delivered promptly by email as advertised, I noticed that my pending credit card charge was $200 higher than the (correctly) billed amount. The reason for this might be a credit hold for possible late return or in case of customer failure to refuel, but they could have mentioned this to me at time of rental or as footnote to the email receipt od that eas the case. Also, in spite of the phone menu, there is no possibility of talking directly to personnel at the rental office. All menu selections resulted in no agent to speak to regarding my desire for extended rental time, except one which resulted in me talking to an offshore call center person who was courteous but not able to help, and who eventually put me back in the menu at PHL. My choice of rental company criteria in the future will include ability to speak to an agent at the airport of rental origin.
We came here to pick up our car on 17Jun Friday afternoon. Somehow they had overbooked and didn’t have enough cars to rent so wait line kept growing. It took us more than 2 hours to see an agent while we wait half of that time out side in hot sun. Poor management. Would never e recommend this location.
Budget and Avis are one company and you can expect right now there is a lot of growing pains for rental companies after the pandemic. The prices for rentals are astronomical… the taxes, fees and add-ons are at least 40% of the price. The cost for us for 4 days was $700.00. That’s just absurd. The pick up in PHL was fine. The drop off in EWR was ok. Fortunately they added signage for the drop off compared to last year. Last year we drove around in circles until we figured out they had one place checking in all the vehicles. No more rentals for me until the prices normalize.
Pros: 1. I was able to walk in and get my car within 15mins, no long wait time.2. The vehicle I received met my needs capacity wise.CONS: 1. MY VEHICLE WAS NEVER CLEANED FROM PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS.2. THERE WAS A LID LESS FOUNTAIN DRINK IN THE SECOND ROW CUP HOLDER🤮.3. THE THIRD ROW CUP HOLDERS HAD JUICE STAINS IN AND AROUND THE CUP HOLDERS.4. RETURNING THE CAR WAS SLIGHTLY CONFUSING NO INTERACTION WITH AGENTS. I WAS UNABLE TO EXPRESS THE GROSS UNSANITARY conditions of the vehicle. It was really disgusting to think my children had been exposed to the open negligence of Budgets cleaning procedure. I hadnt realise the issues until we were on the road for our holiday celebrations.
I will leave 1 star because all my interactions with the staff at the Philadelphia Airport site have been positive, however the customer service and corporate department have been the worst. On 6/21/22, I was on hold for over 40mins. All I wanted to do was extend my rental. I called back on 6/22/22 and spoke to 4 different representatives in customer service and corporate department. Three of the 4 representatives would place me on hold and then the call would get disconnected. 1.5 hours later, Patrick from corporate was able to extend my agreement in less than 10mins.Today, I decided to call Budget because of an email I received from Lori asking when I would be returning the vehicle. Charles from customer service identified that Patrick manually typed the wrong email address on 6/22/22 so the confirmation of our agreement was never sent to me. Charles corrected the email and sent the confirmation. The amount listed was not the the amount of the original agreement that Patrick stated he extended. Charles, transferred me to corporate. Stephanie from corporate immediately transferred me back to customer service. I was on hold for 1hr and 2mins before Maria from customer service answered my call. After explaining the situation to Maria, she asked for the agreement number. My call was disconnected. I called back and after being on hold for 48mins, Ian from India answered my call. That 20min call ended with Ian stating he could not assist me and that all supervisors were busy. Ian did provide me with the corporate hotline which asked me to leave my name and number. I will be returning their vehicle tomorrow and will never rent from Budget or Avis again.
126 State St Emmaus PA. Worse service dont use. Requested help on a vehicle we picked up previous day. The awful woman at the counter informed us she didnt have to help us and suggested we go to another location. Since we didnt get the car from her we werent her customer. WOW. No customer service skills. And a wasted day of our vacation on an unsafe vehicle trying to resolve . . .
Made reservation through AARP. Bought offered insurance for rental. However, when I picked up my vehicle, I was told that the insurance I already paid for was NOT Budgets product, and I would be liable to Budget should any damage occur. Budgets insurance was prohibitively priced.
This is the worst rental place and I had the worst experience ever. They added an extra optional ins that brought Kia small 4 door that was advertised for 470 to 785. I called no manager to speak with no call back on come to the office where I was told that I can change my reservation to my husbands name change out the CC they another lady after I arrived said no I would have to close it all out and start a new reservation and then would. It take the charge off, I always use enterprise and they have always been the best. I only picked them due to it was cheaper but they tagged on so many hidden fees. And they would not take the optional charge off when I specifically told them I did not want it. Horrible attitudes horrible service this was on 06/9-06/12 every worker there had the poorest customer service ever do not rent from them they are horrible
The Staff at front desk are ghetto and ignorant! The young lady Joy has a smart mouth and was on her phone the entire time I was talking to her. I had to get her manager on her. So the second time I came back she was “whispering” little smart stuff. If I wasn’t pregnant it would have went the other way 😊… but I ignored her. I reported them to corporate.
After waiting 45 minutes for a courtesy shuttle and then another 30 minutes in the line at Budget, we were finally assigned our rental vehicle. Our excitement at getting a Hyundai Tuscon, a car we love, quickly turned to dismay as, upon opening the car door, our masked noses were assaulted by the strong smell of stale cigarette smoke.A sign stuck to the windshield proudly lied, This vehicle was thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with EPA-certified products.Cigarette ash and a used mask in the center console storage, brown sticky goo on the sunglass holder and glove box, stains on the seats and the headliner...Already running late from the delays and facing a 90 minute drive ahead of us, we reluctantly left the lot with our filthy car, and a resolve not to rent from Budget in Philly ever again.
The PHL budget office is scamming virtually every customer by asking “do you want the basic package.” Most people will just say yes, which is what I said. She added insurance coverage to my rents, which is not needed because my auto insurance company carries rental car coverage. I told her to adjust the rental agreement and gave her my insurance plan number. She then proceeded to add insurance to the next three customers by asking the same benign question. Beware of this scam as most auto carrier have rental insurance as part of your plan.
Budget Fastbreak at PHL is a disaster. I reserved and pre-paid for a Prius Hybrid vehicle, several months in advance. When I arrived at PHL airport, the Budget Fastbreak consisted of a sign directing me to pick a vehicle from areas 1, 2, or 3. None of these was any kind of Hybrid, and in fact the choice was terrible. I ended up with a Honda that would have cost MUCH LESS than the Prius I reserved. I paid a premium price for the Hybrid, and I received something I could have reserved for less money. Budget essentially STOLE from me. Ive been a Fastbreak member since Budget started the program (long before the merger with Avis). I am going to look into other companies that dont treat their loyal customers like garbage.
Overall pretty good place. Shuttle drivers do a great job. Treated me well by giving me an upgrade since compact cars were in high demand and got a brand new Mazda. I left something in the car so to be continued to see if it is returned.7 months later and never recovered property although I did receive email notifications for several months telling me they did not recover the item. Too bad for me I guess.
The worst rental service I’ve ever dealt with. They charged me for an extra day because they serviced the car 3 hours late , I returned the car with a near full tank and they charged my a $96 fuel fee. And getting someone on the phone is near impossible . Do no recommend.
Pickup from airport was about 30 mins while all other rentals was passing by every 5 mins. Then the lady wont pickup other people yelling through the mic other bus is right behind, so not true. Drop off to airport was worse experience. A nasty/dirty bus came in 20 mins and then another 15 mins to wait on people to fill up. If you were running behind you are screwed. The driver was doing his best, thats about it.Thats what you get under budget.
Very kurt and rude manager on duty. Had to wait almost an hour to get a shuttle to the terminal2 ladies on my bus missed their flightsThe manager said ( you could have walked over to AVIS and catch their Bus it’s bigger and longer) This could have been announced earlier not after 40 minutes that I made it an issueTill I am speaking there is still a $1300 hold on my credit card.. you would think I am attempting to buy the car..Horrible experience Arrogant manager
Very long wait to pick up rental car, car was dirty and was not balanced. Plus there were additional charges on my bill that nobody would explain to me.Added after I received my invoice. There was an additional $31.97 charge on my bill. Had to call customer service, they said it was for roadside assistance but they would remove the additional charge. Seems kind of shady to me.
Disgraceful customer service. Had to wait for car .2 people at counter . Customers out the door . Overcharged me on a pay all trip!! budget shuttle they must have only one!! took Avis bus and walked over. Stay away !! will be calling credit cars company about charges.
Location is filthy long lines, under staffed, counter staff was not helpful and tried to force me with buying extra coverage when I couldn’t provide my employer’s corporate insurance. When I challenged the agent, she quickly changed her tone, mumbled something and gave me my car assignment.
The car had 5/8 in the tank when picked up and 5/8 in the tank when dropped off. The receipt says the car had 8/8 in the tank when picked up, which is wrong. I got ripped off. So, I will never recommend Budget.Followup: Received an email from a Budget manager promising to credit me the amount I was ripped off, then nothing but crickets - no credit - which makes matters worse if thats even possible.
While the service staff were polite and got me in immediately, the car I got was unwashed, had scratches and was poorly parked (see pics). Later I also discovered a bottle of essential oils left behind in the armrest space.I hope the return experience is hassle-free, and if so, I will not reduce my rating further.
If you could leave negative stars I would. This was hands down the worst rental car experience of my life. My reservation was for a standard size car, they gave me an economic car without a price discount. When I saw the car was the wrong size I went back to the line. They made me pay more to get a car bigger than the one I originally requested saying they did not have one in the class of my reservation as one started me in the face in the parking lot. I didnt want to argue so I just paid the fee. When they changed the cars they did not change the time of the rental which matters because now I have to return the car early if I dont want to be charged even though the time in the receipt is 20 minutes prior to the time they actually provided me the car. Then after waiting in line for 30 minutes to get it off the lot, the woman at the exit booth SCREAMED AT ME AND THREW A PEN AT ME. I time her that it was not appropriate for her to act that way, and that I understood she was upset with the delay the car before me caused but that she shouldnt take it out on me. She persisted to give attitude and raise her voice until I drove away. Then I called customer service to explain the horrible experience and the woman didnt seem to understand me because she kept repeating back incorrect information. Then started arguing with me about something that I want even calling to rectify. Finally I had enough and probably shouldnt have screamed but I did. I told them that it was ridiculous that customer service was unable to provide customer service and that I would never do business with them again and to delete my customer loyalty program membership. Since the screaming woman at the booth didnt want me to use her pen to now damages, here are my photos as proof.
The team scams customers by charging automatic fees that were not explained - like a $19 gas charge if you only drive 75 miles, but that was not explained when I rented the car - AND the desk staff didnt know how to take it off when I showed them the receipt that I had bought gas.Feels like a scam. Rent from somebody else.
The shuttles were non existent. Avis buses had a sign saying Budget but most of us missed because there was not logo. Just the word Budget. When I returned the car I waited 35 minutes for a shuttle to get back to the airport. 20 minutes at the budget office and then 15 more after they had us walk over to the Avis office. That is unacceptable. The staff were truly amazing. Also, when they pulled my car around they lost the keys. They did upgrade me with another car which was nice, but I prepaid the gas and the upgrade had a much larger tank. I would not have opted to prepay a tank that size since I wasnt going to using it much. So they just charged my card $72 without asking. After waiting in the hot sun for 40 minutes to get the car and then another 20 minutes while they looked for they keys, that was not cool. The brand new 4runner with 10 mile on the odometer was the saving grace.
Avoid this place at all costs. The WORST Budget rent a car- non existent management. Here’s my experience- 1 hour 45 minutes to get a car (which is severely damaged) - 3 different cars ( first badly damaged, second no keys, third .. see pictures) Employee Christine (pictured) refuses service when I requested a different car
Budget rental car at PHL is a wasteland. The woman checking me in spent half her time texting and CALLING her boyfriend. I reserved a childs seat, it didnt end up getting reserved and the one I finally received was filthy. The car was filthy and damaged. The line moved at a snails pace. The shuttle bus took forever to show up. All in it took me an hour.
Not good experience at Philadelphia International Airport rental location. Customer service associate was unfriendly and mostly non-communicative. Never emailed to me my rental agreement, had to go to another location for it, that service in the suburbs was much better.
At the Phila airport, there is nothing but confusion. Once you get your car most of the exits were closed and you had to get to the Avis exit. But you get there the road was blocked by the van and another car driven by an employee. He asked me where I was going and I said to the exit. He just looked past me and did not try to direct me around his car and past the bus, I had to do that by myself. On return, there was no one around to tell me where to leave the car, only a sign to leave keys in the car. After walking around I finally found someone and asked where to leave it he just said leave where it is and the keys in it. Not a great way to win repeat business.
The service was bad, when I told that inside of car is not cleaned and it smells bad, customer service started getting angry. They said as a reason of being dirty inside of car is that the cars are not brand new. Pandemic period I think it should be cleaned more carefully. I have paid one day unlimited toll service and they didn’t give me any ipass/ez pass or ...(tag), just told me that it will be charged by plate, but in Ohio turnpike, Indiana and Illinois entrance I have paid from my own pocket. So dear drivers who rent the cars from them just be sure about their offers are good. And look to the pictures down, these cars that they gave for rent to me. And they were telling me that it is cleaned.
Pick up and the car was fine. Then when I dropped off the car, they did not check it in and told me Id get a receipt. I did not get a receipt and called two days later to request one. The receipt sent was blank. I finally received a receipt 3 days later and there is a gas charge listed though I filled the tank up before returning the car. My receipt also states that I drove 1120 miles when I only drove local for a few days. The car shouldve been checked in upon my arrival so there would be no discrepancies. Now I have to spend time calling to dispute the charges. Also, I had to walk across the parking lot in the dark and cold to Avis just to get a shuttle to the airport terminal. Poor customer service. Go to Hertz or Avis at the PHL airport instead.
Although prices are very high at this time, Budget provided outstanding service and a very nice vehicle. I would especially like to recognize and hope you do too, William. The bus driver that took us to the airport. He went above and beyond to help and assist each and every passenger that boarded his bus and disembarked. I think I was the only one that tipped him but he went above and beyond for every single passenger. Even the young, big, strong men. He was genuinely helpful and very kind and considerate. He was extremely knowledgeable about the airport and gates and promptly answered every question and gave helpful advice to all passengers. What a keeper!!! I hope you acknowledge him and commend him. He is VERY deserving of a raise or promotion. I only wish I had thought to video tape him so you could see for yourself. I very much appreciated all he did. You just dont find that kind of service anymore. Thank God for William! Great job!!!
One of the worst experiences ever. Budget and Avis appear to be related, and when I rented with Budget, I had to return with Avis. The Budget return ramp had a large barricade in front, forcing me to get out and walk to the office to ask where to turn in the vehicle. The attendance told me to back up and go to Avis..WHO KNEW? There were no signs. The shuttle buses were not ready to take the passengers to the airport, so we waited for nearly 25 minutes IN THE COLD to board a bus for the airport. The driver was the most pleasant employee in the company. She was jovial, played Christmas music on the bus and smiled. Make her President of the company and fire the rest of the unpleasant employees.I will not use Budget or Avis again as a government employee. It will be reported. I gave 2 stars because of the bus driver. Otherwise...NO STARS
Horrible customer service. The girl at the front desk was extremely rude, did not want to answer my questions and was extremely rude! After 1 hour of waiting I finally got the car, and the lady out front that checks you before you leave was also extremely rude. Started screaming at me saying I was given the wrong vehicle which I clearly wasn’t, literally was the same car as described. Then accused I took the car without it being given to me, when clearly that’s not how it works, the key was given to me by the rude lady at the front desk. If you thought I was given the wrong car, you should’ve took it with the lady upfront not me. Used to rent cars from this location all the time, but it’s been horrible the last few times. Will continue to rent from budget just not from this location, if your renting from airport choose enterprise instead.
I booked everything through Southwests website so I didnt see how bad this rental company was. This was my first time going through them and this will definitely be the last. First off, they took forever to bring the car around, didnt wash it, and didnt even hang around to answer any questions or help. I had a question about the car and it took 15 minutes to find an employee to help me. On top of that, I paid for the rental as part of a pack which included flight, hotel and car. When I got there, they made me pay an extra $512.86, which they said Id get back (my return was 21 Sep). I am sitting here almost a month later still trying to get my deposit back. Ive called several times, each time, the person on the phone told me if it doesnt show back in my account by X-day of the following week call back. This time that I called (today, 14 Oct) I asked to speak to a manager to try and get my money back. The customer service representative tried to fight with me about speaking to a manager and when I fought back about it, he gave in but now Ive been on hold for an hour trying to speak to the busy manager. Im beyond furious. Finally, I got in touch with the manager who was very rude and kept interrupting when I tried to explain the whole situation. Ive never been treated like this by Enterprise or any other rental company. I most certainly will NOT being going through them again. I am telling everyone to stay away if you dont want to be scammed, especially Soldiers and Veterans like myself.
The process was easy and friendly. It was also the best price I could find anywhere. I got a really nice Ford escortAlso when I returned my vehicle and walked over to the bus to go to the airport unbeknownst to me I had dropped out of my wallet some cards, credit, medical etc and the man who was checking in my car ran over and brought them to me! That guy needs a medal!!! In this day and age it was nice to know that there are still hard working honest people!! YAY
I rented a certain vehicle and even called customer service before I reserved it to see what I needed. They said since I had a flight itinerary i didnt need a credit card. I get to the location and they say a credit card is needed. I tried explaining i called to ask what was needed. I was told in order to get my refund and look for another vehicle I would have to get out of line and call it do another online reservation. Fast forward to me finally getting the vehicle the service oil and tire pressure light was on. I quickly told myself why I always use enterprise instead.
Worst experience in car rentals Ive ever had. I prepaid my rental almost one month before. I arrived 30 minutes before the estimated time of the pick-up and instead of asking me to wait a little, they told me that if I picked the car before time I should pay an extra day. I got a credit card hold (which a lot of companies do and its ok), but so far they havent refund me the amount. And finally, at the moment of the return, the Budget car return spot was closed, so the Budget staff told me to return it at Avis (which actually is the same company). They received the car there and told me to go in the Budgets counter to tell them that the car was returned correctly. After that, Budgets staff told me that the car wasnt from them because I returned it at Avis, so they cant do anything about that. Thats ridicolous because I rented the car with them and they told me to return it out at Avis. After an hour of trying to explain them the problem, they did nothing to help me. The woman who received the car at Avis helped me closing my account with her manager without Budgets staff help. The staff is rude and they are not qualified and trained to help you. Avoid this car rental company at least in Philadelphia. I hope they will refund me the card hold amount by these days, if not I will make a formal complain.
Airport Budget is ghetto and rude and thats the face of yall company that millions of people who travels see. I need the rental for a extra and yall wanna to charge more than what I originally rented for, the only good thing is that I found out ENTERPRISE have better prices and way better customer service.
The check-in process took far too long. Car was also covered in Bird S***. I was waiting for an hour so I didnt want to have to go back in to the Philly airport check-in and and stand in line to get a different car. The problem is they are short-staffed. I am sure some of this has to do with not paying workers a good wage. I give three stars because the two guys working the desk still had positive attitudes and were helpful despite the circumstances they were given.
I paid for a full size sedan and used a promo code to get an upgrade to a premium sedan. When I get to Philadelphia there was about 6 inches of snow on the ground. The agent Roberto tries to put me in a RWD Chrysler 300 which in the snow might as well be a sled. I asked if I could get something else because driving a RWD vehicle in the snow is dangerous. He responds no, and then after talking to him for a little bit says he will find something. I asked him for something with similar features and he told me youll get what I have. I walked outside and found a few vehicles that would have been sufficient and similarly priced daily based on what I saw on the Budget website. When I came back inside and brought those vehicles to him he told me again youll get what I have and I cannot give you those because they are in a different class. After about 5-6 minutes they pull up this Mitsubishi Outlander. The most basic vehicle they probably had. It had zero of the features that I would have gotten from the premium sedan that I booked. I asked for something else and he told me thats what hes got. I go and load up my bags and hop in and leave. I had to drive about 3 hours away and about 2 hours into my drive I get pulled over. The officer comes to the window and lets me know that my tags are expired. I let him know that it was a rental I just picked up. I look at the temp tags that are Tennessee temp tags and they expired on 12/11/2021. A WHOLE MONTH! I called to address this and was never helped. One of the worst experiences! When I dropped off the vehicle and brought up the tags the guys said he would make a note of it but did NOTHING for me. Terrible experience and customer service.
Car was nice and clean on the inside, but staff was incredibly rude. I had to wait over 20 minutes outside for the car to be pulled around. The first car that was pulled was incorrect, then I waited another 10 minutes for the correct car. Manager scolded the team on the walkie talkie in front of me because they did not give me any paperwork - even then I did not receive any. Returning the car was a breeze, but again, gentleman there wasnt particularly friendly.
I perfectly understand it being Thanksgiving. However the service was horrible. My flight landed at 135pm. I did not get a car until 306pm and no i didnt have checked luggage the entire wait was at your establishment. And you had for 30 minutes 1 person at the counter who was on her cell phone while everyone waited watching her. Then out from no where comes 3 people only 2 helping and the other one appeared to be in charge. Did not offer an apology or say why we had to wait. My confirmation said I was a fastbreak member and I could just pick up my car and go. I want a refund of all of the rental
Rented a 7 Seat car , went home the Battery is not working . Got a cable and a friend car to jumpstart it for few times but it didn’t start . I was getting late for an event , So I used a friend car with 5 seat left someone behind and had my sone come with a friend . Called a customer service for few times they contact me with road service. They asked me about a number I should find in the keychain. The key doesn’t have a keychain. They said check the contract, didn’t receive one . So She said call me back when you have it . Got back home late tried to call again the company wasn’t answering. Called morning they send me a road service. I returned the car got refund. There where a lot of inconsistencies1) wast a lot of time trying to jumpstart the car .2) wasting time calling again and again.3) lost almost all the event .4) one of the family member couldn’t come .5) sending my sone with a different car “friend “6) wasting time coming and going to the pick up place .7) wasting a friend time helping me with his car to jumpstart my car.8) payed for an insurance with a deferent company “ Expedia “ I need to call for a refund, I don’t know if I can get it ...............After waiting for few days I found out the budget charge my credit card $50.00 . The manager told me you will get full refund but they never did . Very bad experience ................Received a mail on 12/25/21 with a bill from road service for jumpstart the car from budget with $218.00Went to the location couldn’t do anything the manager said she can’t do anything in her end call customer service because her system shows no charge !?!?. 🤯..................Update as of today 1/15/22Got my refund from Expedia $20 insuranceDidn’t pay for jumpstart because it was fixed.Still didn’t get my full refund from budget, I called them they gave me an email, I sent a receipt from my credit card that shows the $50 charged but I didn’t get any response or refund refund this has been since 12/28/21
I was here on business. I requested a vehicle and the agent stated he could provide a car to my specifications. He didn’t. When I stood in line for another 20 mins. They refused to provide the vehicle that I requested. One of the young girls there actually stopped the other woman from assisting me. Horrible customer service. Cars are out of date or need work. My tires were balled. Agents are not only rude but lie straight to your face. They will walk away in the middle of “helping you” and catch an attitude when asking a simple question. The only saving grace is the gentlemen who assist with returning the card. He was polite and helpful. Do yourself a favor. Find an enterprise or literally anywhere else. Would not recommend.
I will never use Budget again. My car wouldnt start after 2 days of having it and it was a terrible experience getting the company to come tow it and then confirm my refund. I had to wait over a day for a tow and had to call back numerous times on numerous different numbers and still have not had my refund confirmed.
At the Philadelphia Airport location, there was not a shuttle for Budget. After waiting for about 45 minutes at the terminal, a different companys shuttle driver noticed Id been sitting there for a long time and let me know to ride the Avis shuttle to get to Budget. After riding the shuttle, I made it to the Budget building. There were about 4 or 5 employees behind the counter. Only 1 seemed to be working and taking customers. After another long wait, I was assigned a parking spot # to go retrieve my car. Once there, I did a review of the car. There were dents and scrapes all along both sides of the car. I saw an employee in the parking lot. He instructed me to just take pictures of the damage so I wouldnt be held liable. It was very disappointing to receive a damaged car.
Message for oil change needed on car when received. Low tire warning when received. Mirrors and windshield dirty when received. Warning beeps every time I hit a bump. Door open warning on dash when I hit a big bump. All driving was on highways. Charged me for 1/2 gallon of gas. I filled the tank < 5 miles from the airport. I wont rent from Budget again.
Budget pickup bus never came, eventually we took an Avis bus and walked over to Budget. The line at the check out counter was about 12 people deep. Customers kept returning to the desk because the wrong cars were given to them. It was atrocious! Fortunately we avoided that nightmare, our car was in a parking spot. Same thing going back to the airport, we wound up walking to Avis to ride their shuttle bus. My final bill was $150 higher than the online estimate.
So after waiting over TWENTY minutes for a Budget courtesy shuttle from the airport to the rental location, we were greeted by the shuttle driver with the question “Avis or Budget”? Um excuse me?!?! we could have taken one of the three Avis shuttles that came by?! That would have been nice to know. Now the line at the rental location is 7 renters long with two agents working. So far I am NOT impressed Budget. Not at all. Update: after getting to an agent, I must update this to say he was great - professional and efficient. But while I waited in line I realized I had this experience the only other time I rented from Budget in Philly. My bad for not remembering but I will remember from now on and not rent from them in Philly again. In the end it took over an hour from when we started waiting for the shuttle until we were in our rental. Also - you can walk to the rental agencies by crossing from where you wait for the shuttles and making your way through the parking deck. Not for the faint of heart but a potential time saver. Update: the return process was equally bad. We pulled up and we’re told to wait and that someone would be with us shortly. Over 5 mins later the guy appeared and was like “ you will get the receipt by email, you don’t need to wait”. Didn’t matter though because the bus was not there and there was quite a crowd waiting for it. We waited another five minutes for the bus. Wow. Never again.
I was charged an extra day of rental, charged for gas when the car was over full, and theres extra mileage on the car over what I turned it in with. I turned the car in on a Wednesday morning, and the receipt says Thursday morning. I have a time stamped photo and boarding pass to prove my statements. ? Did someone take it out for a joy ride ? Not a good experience for this Fastbreak member. This only happens to me in Philadelphia - Ill go with another rental company. Make sure you check your receipts at this location!!!
The rental experience from start to finish was excellent. The agent who took care of me was kind, polite and knowledgeable. The young lady that received the rental when I returned it greeted me warmly with the most beautiful and friendliness that speaks highly about how Budget appreciates and values their customers.
1. charged me 240$(non promo rate) for the car that costed 80$ (promo rate)a day for the 2 hours late return 2) recites are not available when email come. then only become available weeks after so no one can take actions on time. 3. car wasnt clean when I got it . It was clean inside but outside it was just a mess
The staff that worked there were super friendly, however I received a charge on my credit card of $250 and a letter which looked like junk mail in the mail explaining that the odor of smoke was In My rental car. After a 30 minute phone call and talking to a supervisor the charge is being cancelled in 3- 5 business days... I would not use Budget EVER again.
I had the best experience from the ease of changing my reservation to picking up the car. I especially would like to give a 10 to the young lady that checked me in at pickup.. The long wait 4 airport shuttle was frustrating but she worked effectively to get us in and out w a smile. Made all the difference. Will only rent budget
They totally ripped me off and were not honest. They told me I could fill the gas up before return or pay them to refuel. The lady at the counter said gas is 3.59 a gallon so I decided to not worry about it. They charged me 9.99 per gallon at drop off and said it was in the terms and conditions I signed. I won’t be using them ever again. Just be honest up front I would have refueled the car.
Car was not cleaned. There were candy rappers, greasy hand prints and a noticable funk to the car. The exterior was not cleaned either, I was under a time constraint and did not have the to waste walking all the way back to the office in 18 degree weather. Fix this! Dont you guarantee a clean car upon pick up?
I was able to walk right up to the counter due to the multiple agents on duty. Unfortunately they get a 4 because the first car I was given had not been cleaned. They apologized and gave me a free upgrade. The next car was older than I have ever had for a rental with almost 40k miles. Odd but maybe due to the shortage of vehicles. Id still use them again
I rented a car in Philadelphia budget twice in the last month and the same black woman with brown curly hair ignored me while talking on her Bluetooth device. The young black girl said I can help you and was very nice. The large black male driving the shuttle parked and walked away while everyone boarded the bus. He waited on the side of the building watching while other patrons helped an old woman board. Then he walked back and drove to the airport. Worse customer service ever both trips in the Philadelphia budget counter. Wont be back.
When I picked up my car the agent was extremely rude and didnt help explain anything regarding my over 30 day rental. He told me my rental would end at the 30 day mark and gave me a receipt for that. When I asked why I wasnt able to keep the car for the 33 days I booked online, he told me I had been helped and to please leave. After I left I called Budget multiple times to try and understand what was going on with my account. I had at least 7 calls with different people telling me different things and none were every clear. My original booking has and was from PHL on 9/7 with a return at JFK on 10/10, but it seems no one could give me the information I need. I just returned my car after another hour long conversation as to why I didnt return on 10/8 and was left feeling helpless and uniformed. I will NEVER use budget again. They are cheaper, but the hassle is not worth it.
Too many issues from the first. The counter employee was rude and not helpful with the check-in process. When we went to take car the interior was a dirty mess as was the exterior not cleaned. So we went back to counter and they assigned us another car which was also dirty on the exterior but the inside was better. To avoid the hassle we took the car. After driving out of the lot when we got to 10 miles and above the tires started sounding like truck tires. The faster we went the louder the winding noise got. Because of the counter person and the cleanliness issue we decided to live with it. After 10 - 20 we regretted that decision. The good experience was the returning of the car the attendant was courteous and polite. The return was smooth.
This place is horrible. The car was dirty, sticky, stained and had trash and hair in it. Called customer service as I was driving and they promised to credit me one days rental. On my return to drop off it was impossible to get into the return lot. I had to circle around twice. Customers had to drag their bags, with kids in tow, back and forth through the lot to the bus pick up. I had to wait for my Lyft in the grass by a median. Two days go by and no credit so I called the customer service number, told the lady the situation and was transferred to a line that told me to call back during regular hours and then hung up on me! I did eventually get the credit. Thats the ONLY reason I gave them 2 stars #HotMess! Never again!
I made a car reservation months in advance and on the day I came to pickup my vehicle I waited in line for an hour to just be told that since I’m under 25 but military they can give me a car but only if I use a credit card to pay. I only had a debit card. So they blatantly told me I wouldn’t be serviced and called next customer. Would not recommend budget enterprise is ten times the better company.
All good in the end, but coming off a flight, and not knowing the airport too well, I had no idea whether the rentals were on site or whether I had to take a shuttle bus. Very poorly indicated...in a very busy airport. Once I got to the correct place, i had to wait 40 minutes in line for the two Budget employees to serve 3 people ahead of me. Great service when it was my turn, but a long time between getting my bags and driving off.
There is a reason this is the Budget option. It took an hour for the single Budget shuttle to come to the PHL airport, took another hour to wait in line to pick up the car while the clearly unenthused employees made no effort to help the process along for anyone. Once we got the car, it was not cleaned, as there were childrens toys and trash in the car and under the seats. The dashboard also had multiple warnings (low tire pressure, needed an oil change, and some others). When asked if they could do anything in terms of giving us a partial refund or a different car, they said they couldnt do anything and all of the cars were booked - unless we wanted to pay more, of course.
I waited over 40 minutes in line to get my car and then another 40+ minutes to get a car that was wet inside and not particularly clean. There were many cars idle on the lot. I returned the car early and was told I would have to deal with Expedia to get a refund. I returned it with more gas than it had when I picked it up. The counter and lot people were trying but the system is broken. PLUS no one was wearing their mask properly or requiring other customers to mask while indoors as it was the stated policy on the door and inside the rental building.
I waited 45 minutes in the cold for a shuttle from Budget, it never showed up so I got on a Avis shuttle who took me close to the Budget counter. There was one person working so it took another 20 minutes to talk to an agent. When I returned I was not able to get a reciept and was told to go inside which I did this was 3:00 in the afternoon, and there was nobody inside to help me, again I waited for 20 minutes and finnally left with no reciept. Again there was no shuttle to the terminal so I had to catch a ride on an Avis bus, which was a bit of a walk. Never again will I rent from Budget.
The first vehicle you tried to rent to me was not safe to drive. When I pointed out the safety issue, the replacement vehicle had a lot of body damage, was dirty, but drivable. It had missing labels on some controls and the HVAC system randomly changed modes and didnt respond to user input.
Good luck catching a shuttle bus...35 min and nothing. Watched as Hertz , Enterprise & National came by several times. Awesome driver from National took us to Budget — that’s customer service. Thank you, National Car Rental! Thank you, Gutembert. On a positive note, Ladies at the desk were friendly when we finally got there.
Over the course of two days, I was issued paperwork for 5 different rental cars. The first car was given away to another customer right before me (no big deal). The second car had the oil light on and I did not feel comfortable driving it for a week. The third car, I was told someone would bring it around front for me. After 15 minutes, an employee saw me waiting and asked if I needed help. I let him know I was waiting on this car and showed him my paperwork. They did not have such a car on their lot! So glad he asked if I needed help because I would have continued to wait... Fourth car had a maintenance needed light on, but after 2 hours in the rental agency I was ready to get to my destination. I drove the car for a day and a half. Next morning, it would not start. No lights were left on, it was not a dead battery. I believe it was some sort of electrical failure. After 20 minutes on the phone with the emergency roadside assistance number, the car began to honk, lights flashing, every light on the dashboard lit up. Gentleman I was on the line with told me to try putting the key in the ignition to start it; it started and I was able to drive it. However, at this point I did not feel comfortable driving the vehicle. Agent on the line asked if I could return it to the airport to swap out - I was an hour away so that was not a viable option. He found a rental agency in King of Prussia and said he notified them I was coming and they would help me out. I arrived at the new rental location and the two workers had no idea I was coming and were not thrilled that I was swapping out a car from the airport. I was told that they could not accept the car because they had too many from the airport already. I informed them of the situation and that I was not leaving until I had another vehicle because I did not feel safe driving the one I was provided. I was swapped out for another vehicle but not without some grumbling. Overall, very unsatisfied with my experience.
This was the worst experience Ive ever had at Budget. Im a Fastbreak member, but the Fastbreak booth was closed when I arrived, so I had to wait in a very long line. When I reached the counter, I was told that the Prius I had reserved was not available, but I could have a Corolla for the same price. Given that theres a premium for renting a hybrid, that was not acceptable, but I needed the car and figured I could work it out with Budget later. Then they had to go find the Corolla that had just been returned, and put it through the car wash. That also took a while.Meanwhile, the person running the Fastbreak booth appeared, so I asked her just in case she knew where my Prius was. She didnt have one, but offered to get one off the Avis lot next door. Expecting the Corolla would turn up any second (hah!) and not sure how long it would take to get a Prius from the Avis lot or how much extra they would try to charge me for it, I declined. Well, there was a long line for the car wash so we waited and waited for the Corolla. It finally turned up, and just as we were loading our luggage in the trunk and getting into the car, the Fastbreak person drove up in a Prius for us! So yay - except then we had to explain to the exit gate attendant that we really did have the right car. Finally, it turns out the rental actually cost three bucks and change less than I had pre-paid - but when they say prepayment is nonrefundable, they really mean it. Its not enough money to spend the hours it would take me to argue with Budget about, but Im definitely putting a warning in this review that prepayment does NOT work in your favor.Ive been a loyal Budget customer for more than 25 years and I have NEVER had an experience like this anywhere else. Im hoping that its just the PHI location and that Budgets customer service hasnt gone to hell in a handbasket anywhere else.
We arrived at the budget car rental in Philadelphia at 12:15am on Saturday morning. It was after 2am when we finally got our car. We had a two hour drive that night and didnt get in to our hotel until after 4am. I can understand taking 20 or 30 minutes, but 2 hours is totally unacceptable. I will not use budget again for my own or my clients (I am a travel advisor) transportation needs.
I was charged a fuel surcharge. The fuel gauge said it was full. I filled-up in New Jersey and they force full-service. Perhaps the guy did not top-off the tank completely. The rest of the rental experience was great. We got to the counter in the middle of the tropical storm rains and the attendant was alert and very efficient. The airport pick-up guy, who actually was working for another company, cared enough to let us off close to the Avis/Budget office. AWESOME SERVICE!
I was in a tough spot. Had flown in for my fathers funeral but my 1st flight was delayed and thus I missed my connection. I needed to get where I was going ASAP. Went to Budget and they quickly assisted me with an affordable car that I could drop off at a different location when my trip was over. The girl at the counter was fast, efficient and kind.
I needed to extend rental because of death in family. I was told it would be $1200 to extend 6 days. Online I could book car for $600. I had to go 4 hours out of my way to return the car, just to pick one up from your other company AVIS. I spoke with an agent and then a manager and they were quite rude. I will definitely go out of my way to never rent from your company or any of your affiliates in the future. If I could rate zero stars, I would.
When you get out of the airport, you have to go to the car rental shuttle pick up area.It took a few minutes for the Budget Car Rental shuttle to arrive. The shuttles were quick and easy. Takes about 5 minutes to get to the car rental lots.We had Beverly help us out. She was amazing. Definitely one of the best rental agent I’ve met.Keep it up!See you next time when I am back in Philadelphia.

2022-02-13I had a great experience with this Budget location. They had the exact car that I reserved (which, lets be honest, is rare for a rental company) ready for me upon arrival, and had no problem letting me leave with it an hour before my reservation. The car was spotless and in like-new condition, every employee from the counter person to the shuttle driver was incredibly helpful and friendly, and I was able to drop it off with absolutely no hassle. Just park it and leave the keys and you get an e-receipt within minutes. I will most certainly rent from Budget again as this was the simplest, smoothest rental experience Ive ever had.

2022-07-01Have rented twice recently and have been quite satisfied with the service and the quality of the cars. The first rental had a little smell of cigarette smoke but it dissipated fairly quickly by leaving window open while driving a short distance. Customer Service was very helpful but I do think if you get there 30 minutes or less from your pickup time they should just let you go and alleviate all the lines. All in all both good experiences and great pricing.

2022-07-02One star is too much, there needs to be a no star option. The woman that handled my rental was very short, spoke very softly at times which I had no idea what the hell she was saying and disengaged. My experience was horrible. Then she told me that my car would be brought out front. I waited for about 15 minutes and after seeing so many people who were in the line behind me get their vehicle while I still stood outside, I went back inside to ask where’s my vehicle. The woman called on the radio, then said they would bring it up front. I went back outside and waited again. I started to ask the male workers in the parking lot where is my vehicle, which one said he mostly work at Avis yet his work shirt said Avis AND budget, then the other male said he would call on the radio. He was very helpful and told me that he would bring my vehicle soon. At this point it’s 9:55 AM and my pickup time was 9:30 AM. I told him that they need to change my pickup to 10AM. He went on the radio and said his manager said they changed it. I really hope they did because when I show up at 10 AM when bringing it back they better NOT tell me anything about it being late. That female worker that handled my rental needs to go back to training, immediately. Then there were other female workers going back and forth about something else with each other. It was a very very unpleasant experience. When I finally got the vehicle, none of the workers walked around the vehicle with me, and there’s so many marks on the car! I made a video though so they better not try anything when I drop the car off. Prior to this rental, I rented at enterprise which was absolutely amazing! Budget take some notes from Enterprise. This location sucks!!

2021-09-02Paid for Budget Express and reserved a larger mid-size suv online weeks before the reservation. Even though there was enough employees to serve the express counter they were not allowing anybody to move ahead. Budget Express costs extra to jump the 2 hour line and they did not allow us to do that. After waiting for 2 hours they decided to open up the express line. They did not offer any refund or even get us the right car. Very chaotic to get a car and waited for a good 2 hours. Not very happy on the wait and service.EDIT: Upgrading to 3 stars from 2 starts solely based on how easy it was returning the rental car to the Budget area at the Plillidelphia Airport. Returning the car was very easy and hassle free, just take your bags out and leave the keys in the car. Definitely pay for them to fill up your car because dealing with the extra trouble is not worth the difference. VERY IMPORTANT double check to make sure Budget writes down the damage already on the car when you pick it up so you will not get tagged on paying for the car. One helpful add on you can pay for is the EZ-PASS toll reader on the inside of the car windshield. This will save you tremendous amount of time and also allow you to not worry about paying the toll fees while driving. Most tolls are are change or card only and usually have a line to wait for when it gets somewhat busy.

2021-11-14Patience. Be patient waiting for your car. There was only 1 shuttle on Saturday, so that was a downer, I almost walked from Zone 2 across the street to Budget because of the wait. The car was clean, although Budget should know that when it purchases cars w/ Canadian plates, the KMs are first then MPH so let drivers know (v. being a bit confused on I-95 like me)

2022-05-31Pretty much self-serve, which was nice except that another customer almost drove off in our rental. The staff is very hands-off, unless you approach them. Checking out took more time than anticipated due to a technical issue. Our car was clean and handled fine. The shuttle was slow to arrive on the way in, and on the way out it never did arrive. We finally walked to the terminal after waiting for 15 minutes.

2022-07-06It was a bad experience from the start. The shuttle bus used did not indicated Budget. Lots of people were waiting and when an Avis bus came someone came over to say it was going to Budget as well. Getting a car was quite an ordeal. I finally got the car requested. No owners manual, so later I had nothing to indicate how anything worked. Fortunately, someone came over while I was trying to get out and fixed some items and I was able to have seat and mirror positions correctly set up. With the return, I found that I was charged for quite a bit more than was prepaid after requesting that the only item I wanted was a fuel package. If I agreed to anything else, the desk was not clear and I had to sign a number of pages that I did not have in hand. They were supposedly sent via e-mail??? So, my excess payment was $200 when I only expected a fuel package. My stupidity and since I am just getting back to travel again, I will not use Budget in the future.

2022-06-06We had an awesome experience with Budget at the Philadelphia Airport. Budget was (almost) the cheapest and we easily reserved a car online. After flying in a Budget shuttle was quick to arrive and take us to the rental car lot. Very quick check in. Our car was making odd knocking sounds so we mentioned it to an attendant on the lot who said we did not need to return to the office, she would simply get us another car and handle the switch - this was done SO quick and the 2nd car was great. Want to give a shout out to BRENDA COOPER who helped us with this - fun, friendly and helpful - great start to our trip! Will definitely use Budget again :)

2022-06-28I honestly had a great experience from check in to drop off. SUPER easy! And the shuttle driver was training 2 guys and they were all friendly and fun and fantastic... Super helpful and what customer service should look like! Thanks for a great experience!PS just so you know, youd take the Avis bus to get to Budget, its not well advertised! 😉

2022-06-16We rented at the phila airport budget car rental. I have fast break and this process is so simple and amazing. Staff at pick up were so helpful, and as for drop off, you just leave the keys in the car and go. Staff at drop off was very helpful too. Will definitely use Budget again! Great customer service.
