It was by far one of the best burgers Ive had in a long while including one of my own 😁 I went with a good friend of mine whom is a native to the area I went to visit over this past weekend and she recommended we go so of course I had to see what she was bragging about to a foodie like myself... The hostess was awesome/pleasant, the ladies behind the bar were cool but one of them cute blonde hair glasses 😍 awesome. If ever in the area go you will not regret it
Update: moving this from 1 to 4 stars, because while the start of the evening went poorly: Sadly making a reservation here doesn’t actually get you a table anywhere near the reserved time. And then the hostess is rude about it.The end of the evening was really good. The waitress, Laura, was awesome and the food was good.
Food was terrific. We both had burgers. Portion size was great. I know iced tea is a meaningless part of a meal but it was so refreshing because it was fresh brewed!!! ....I was impressed. My husband had bison burger and I had turkey burger with goat cheese (no bun). Wow!!! Just delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and very nice. I highly recommend the Buttonwood grill.
Great spot in Lahaska located with convenient parking across the way in peddlers Village always a great time with great outdoor seating also very catering to children as well. I personally love their Mediterranean burgers I like that they have an option to have the burgers come out naked with no buns to reduce the carbs I am a big low carb diet guy and find a variety of options that suit my dietary preferences
One of few restaurants where a server is so cooperative and has information about food! Chase took good care of our need of vegetarian diet and suggested dishes accordingly. Great ambiance and tasty food! Wait time was higher due to holiday time but restaurant sends text notification so dont need to stay there. Free parking available at Peddlers village parking lot. One should definitely try out.
Dined here before and found it more enjoyable than this time around. Food was just okay. Spinach and crab dip was served with no more than 10 tortilla chips. Mushroom soup came out lukewarm and watery. Kids tacos were practically empty, and one of them didn’t have cheese at all. Husband’s SW Burger was good, fries were delicious, and quesadillas were tasty. Server was friendly, and food came out fast.. although we were never offered refills or anything. Sitting on the patio was nice on a gorgeous day, but otherwise not worth the cost.
First off the waitress was obviously to everything. Everyone’s orders were totally wrong! Ordered full rack of ribs all of us got half. Desert was chocolate cookie Sundae, luckily I don’t have a nut allergy because I found massive pecans nuts in my cookie. Stay away from this place
This place is wonderful. Its right alongside Peddlers Village. Beautiful building. You can eat inside or on the deck. They make all the food fresh. You can tell it when you bite into it that its freshly made and that they care about quality. Really nice atmosphere. The will potato salad is amazing!
Had the fish tacos and my bf had the pulled pork. Food was just ok. Ive had way better fish tacos. Service was ok. Took our server a bit to come check on us to see how everything was. I was halfway through my meal before he came over and I needed something. He was just standing on his phone and talking to the other staff.
Waitress was nice. Calamari was delicious! Not a rubbery at all! Then our meals came :( . Husbands ribs were o.k. My salmon was over cooked but my sides were nice. Apple fennel salad and sweet potatoes. My mother-in-laws hot chocolate was Not hot it was warm. Table by the door, my legs and back froze. I food looks great but for the area and prices I expected better food.
Good Ol American fare. We dined in for lunch. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. We had the Chili, Grilled Chicken BLT and Chicken & Cheese tacos off the kids menu. While the Grilled Chicken BLT was the crowd favorite, all the meals were quite enjoyable. And compared to most places within a few miles, the prices were quite reasonable. Definitely worth a visit or two. A little more crowded than I would have liked however they are spacing out their tables, separating where they can with plexiglass and nowhere near capacity.
My husband and I visited Peddler’s Village 12/21/2021 after not being able to do our yearly visit last year due to the pandemic (we live in West Virginia and my family lives in New Jersey). We’d never eaten at Buttonwood Grill before, but we will definitely be back on our next visit! We both had the SW Burger. Wow, is that burger awesome! The chipotle lime ranch is on point, and we both ate way more fries than we should have because we didn’t want it to go to waste when we finished the burgers. Our waitress seemed a bit stressed, which is understandable during the holiday rush and in these times of staffing issues. Sadly, we can’t remember her name or find the receipt with her name on it, but she was attentive nonetheless and made sure we got everything we ordered. Hopefully she knew how much we appreciated her.I look forward to our next visit.
The restaurant was very clean even when it appears they were short staffed . The workers hustled to seat the customers that were waiting.Waitress was excellent, friendly , prompt with drinks the meal was fabulous. Guinness burger was delicious same for the hand cut fries. Salmon salad was very crisp and fresh. Fish tacos were amazing . Our party was very happy with everything from the time we entered until we left. Thanks Jill for great service.
The Fish Tacos were terrible!!! Unseasoned fish, old, foul cabbage, barely any salsa, and a tiny slice of avocado. You get 2, very bland, barely filled Fish Tacos that are disappointing beyond belief!!! ....That is not meatloaf!!! Not even close!!! It’s 2 slabs of ground pork sausage shaped, and seared, like a steak. We thought we were eating breakfast sausage!!! Disgusting!! ....The burgers were ordinary, dry, and unseasoned!!! My family and I were very disappointed to say the least!!!
Food was very good! We really like theyre attention to detail; our burgers came out on wood blocks instead of plates and had a big pickle on top. Onion rings were stacked biggest to smallest. The restaurant was clean and warm. Our server was very friendly and made sure everything came out ok. They still have plexiglass up around the booths which is nice.
Been here once before, already knew the burgers were awesome, but thought Id try their personal pizzas. They too are awesome. Got to eat outside this time, great atmosphere. Highly recommended. Wait time was quick, service was great, looking forward to the next visit.
Was out for a day of curing some wintertime cabin fever and stopped for a late lunch. I was accompanied by my gf and her mother and father whom were in town from Ga and wanted to check out the shops of Peddlers Village. This is great place to stop for drinks and a bite to eat. Very affordable cuisine and some menu items have their own unique twist on traditional plates. We had excellent service and food tasted awesome. Restaurant seems to be set up to accommodate large family/friend outings as well as more intimate settings. The restaurant has a bar as well that patrons can set at if desired. I would recommend this to anyone hungry after a bit of shopping and looking for a little different patina inside and plenty of opportunities to people watch through large windows encompassing half the restaurant.
Order the cauliflower appetizer for $10.00 and you only got THREE pieces of cauliflower. We ordered the pumpkin martinis and they were 75% cream, barely any alcohol or flavor. Just tasted like half and half. We got two salads and they were tasty, however very very small. They tried to act like “fine dining” with portion sizes and pricing, but they’re not a fine dining establishment. Just overall disappointing especially for peddlers village.
Great food, great service. Not extremely cheap, but not extremely expensive. A nice sit down place to try for some yummy food. I had the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries, my oldest son had the same and my 2 children had the kids chicken fingers and fries. We all had drinks and total with tip was $62.00 for lunch.
I understand that December is a very busy time for any restaurant in Peddler’s Village, but whatever the system is here, it’s very flawed. We were told earlier in the day that they weren’t taking reservations and were only accepting walk-ins, and when we arrived at around 5:00pm, we were pretty rudely told they were no longer adding names to the waitlist. I wanted to reach out privately to a manager or someone through email, but I couldn’t find any contact info on the website, so here we are with a 1 star review.
Service and food was awesome here! They were short staffed and all of the servers and host handled it so professionally and were so kind and apologetic. I wish i got the host name before i left but he was awesome and i was so shocked by how he was handling the amount of people coming in and just running around making sure people were seated and happy you just don’t get service like that often. With the pandemic i know businesses are short and are doing what they can so kuddos to these servers you have some good ones!
Service was a little slow, especially for a festival weekend. Food was just ok and a little pricey for the amount they served. Coffee was pretty harsh but that seems to be the case at most places for breakfast. I will say that the place seemed pretty clean and the decor was nice.
This is our go-to eatery in Lahaska. I limit myself to 4 servings of red meat per year and its usually to have a burger at Buttonwood Grill. I get the SW Burger served on a brioche bun with a generous portion of crispy fries. We went there this week and had lunch on the patio. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. Although it started filling up fast for lunch on the first nice day of the week, we were seated quickly and our food came out with minimal delay. Our server, Kelly, was friendly and attentive and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone asking wheres a good place to eat at Peddlers Village.
The good: Our server was extremely kind and friendly. The cocktails were great and the quesadilla appetizer was tasty. The not-as-good: They were out of a lot of stuff, including what seemed like half the beer list and normal condiments you would expect every restaurant to have. The burgers (both beef and bison) were surprisingly bland, especially for being supposedly well-known for them.Overall it was a little pricey for a somewhat disappointing meal. We may have had an abnormal experience though, given all the five star ratings.
I have eaten at the Buttonwood Grill many times and the while the wait staff can be hit or miss, the food has usually been good, however I will never eat there again. I was recently booked to have my wedding reception dinner there. I purchases prepaid Peddlers Village Cards Specifically to have the dinner and our breakfast and our guests there the next day. We were a small party of only 6 but when I booked it, I was very specific about booking the private pub room, drove up ahead of time to take photos so I would be able to decorate accordingly, stopped in again the night before the wedding to confirm and on the day of our wedding, mother nature decided to bring freezing rain instead of snow. Due to the weather they decided to close at 4 which left us high and dry for anywhere to have our dinner reception. This happening on the biggest day of my life other than my daughters birth was needless to say upsetting. Thankfully the staff at the Golden Plough Inn was amazing and recommended we go to Calebs down the street.(which we couldnt at that point decorate or anything but turned out wonderful. I highly recommend Calebs in Lahaska) Now, I understand wanting your staff to be safe and the reasoning behind closing. I am a business owner myself and I would likely have brushed it off later and `eventually returned to the Buttonwood but when we arrived the next day for breakfast at 10:10 and were told they were done serving breakfast and wouldnt be serving lunch until 11, I had really had it. I had all these prepaid Cards to use with them and when I originally called, I specifically checked to make sure they served breakfast until 11 since the last time we stayed there we were too late for breakfast and wound up having lunch. I wrote everything down as I made the bookings and double checked it in my file. Obviously there was a miscommunication from their staff. Now, as if that wasnt all enough, they were unwilling to accommodate us (remember, we were only 10 minutes after their cutoff time) and doing so would certainly have left us feeling like they were at least sorry and trying to make up for the night before. Not only did they not try to accommodate us, but at no point did anyone follow up with me and offer us a reason to come back to them another time. It was plainly obvious that our business did not matter and as far as customers go, our wedding and our repeat business was of no importance to them. The Buttonwood will never get another dollar form us. A real shame since we used to eat there frequently. Their customer service was some of the worst I have ever experienced
Had dinner here twice this weekend. The my wifes salmon was excellent and made me wish I had ordered it too. The burgers were good. It was convenient to leave my number and get a text when my table was ready, especially on a busy Saturday night. We were both too stuffed to try desserts, but they sounded tasty. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The look of the dining room was warm and inviting.
Awful experience. Very under staffed, bartender Sam was miserable because she was running around like a chicken, bartending, serving, washing glassware and running back n forth to kitchen with orders with absolutely no help at all. We ordered two salads taking over an hour to receive n yepp you guessed, all salads came out wrong. So either the hire more staff or forget it. Not worth the aggravation. Sam our advice go to another restaurant were they respect your more. Your happiness is worth a lot more.
First we waited 35 minutes to get in. We ordered appetizers which were good. The burgers we ordered were average. They forgot my bacon the cheese was basically melted off my burger. The sides were on the wrong plate. Our waitress was no where to be found for the most part.
We had friends visiting from Va. who we had taken to see the Scarecrow exhibit when they were children then to then the Spotted Hog. We surprised them with dinner at Buttonwood. Everything from the hostesses to the server and food was five stars. The food was amazing. Everyone in the party said, best burger ever, pizza was delicious, calamari perfect. We were so pleased. Thank you
We are repeat diners here and will continue to patronize this incredible spot. Undoubtedly the biggest, tastiest Pastrami sandwich outside of Brooklyn. The amount of meat is far and above what a normal person can eat (I managed, though). It was fresh, lean, delicious. Also, these were the best sweet potato fries east of the Mississippi, and believe me, I have eaten them dozens of places east of the Mississippi. My beer was frosty cold in the proper glass for the variety. The burger and fries my wife enjoyed were top-notch and prepared exactly as she ordered. Our server was delightful and checked on our progress and satisfaction more than once. What else can one expect from an establishment? Nothing. This place checks ALL the boxes.
We are a family with two young children and we know that outdoor dining is impossible right now without a reservation so I called and made a reservation for an outdoor table for 4:30 pm today. When I called I said we needed a table outside and once he said it was confirmed I again confirmed that it would be for outside and was told yes. When I arrived they said that reservations are for inside and outdoor is a first come first serve basis and there were six tables ahead of us. I was completely shocked because they said nothing about this on the phone when I called and I was assured an outside table. We were of course left with no options as everywhere is packed for outside dining and we can’t wait an hour with a 2 year old and 9 month old. I called to complain and was basically told that’s the way it is and they don’t know why I wasn’t told that when I made the reservation. At least two other people in line had been told the same things. To do this during a pandemic when parents don’t feel safe with young children inside is insane.
Took the family here for the first time during dinner/happy hour (4-6pm) on a Friday. We had reservations for 5 and it was pretty empty. As we ate all of the tables filled up and there was a wait by 6pm. Our food was great and it came out fast! I had the BBQ Guinness Burger. One of the best burgers if not THE best burger in Bucks County. Kids got corn dogs and they were happy. My wife got fish tacos which can be a hit or miss depending on the restaurant, they were a hit, she loved them. Waitress was great, friendly and attentive. I will be back, soon.Update: Weve been back a few times this summer and it is our new go to place to eat in the area. Great food and drinks.
My 7 family members went there on 7/24. Food was good, Waiter was nice but a little absent. Flies in the restaurant were all over our table. I asked the three girls at the hostess stand if theyd ask someone to remove the fly strip hanging against the window right near our table - thinking that might be attracting flies. One of the three girls at the hostess stand sarcastically said in a condescending tone, This is a restaurant... with food... and when people come iiinnn... flies come iiinnn. Someone removed the fly strip and we got some reprieve. Food came and we got dive-bombed again by flies. We finished our meals and waiting about 20 mins, no one removed our plates, gross flies everywhere, I asked the girls at the hostess stand if theyd ask someone to remove our plates because the flies are overwhelming. The same sarcastic hostess, said no one else complains about flies. My thought at the time, Then why are there several fly strips hanging against the windows? Hostess then angrily said, Ill do it! My mistake to let her near our table. This hostess (early 20s, blonde hair, red shirt) angrily grabbed the silverware and banged them on a plate loudly. As she gathered the other plates staking them loudly, she scooped any remaining food off each plate onto one plate right on the table. This is inappropriate and should never be done on the floor when customers are present let alone AT THE TABLE. I asked her, Please dont do that at the table, just take the plates away. Again, another angry comment from her, Well, Im not a big strong man... Other comments she muttered I couldnt understand. She left one plate at the table with uneaten food on it and never came back. My daughter saw her return to the hostess stand and make comments about presumably me and our table while they looked our way and the other two girls reacted to the story as if I/we are problem customers. Still, no sign of our waiter or busboy so I took the plate and walked it to the kitchen area.Next day, I called the restaurant and left a message for the owner or manager. I received a call back but was on a plane so I couldnt accept it. I returned the call the next day, gave my phone number and my email. I received no second response from anyone at Buttonwood Grill.Usually, valid customer feedback is highly important to a business. Also, its usually generous for a customer to take the time to give customer feedback. Surprised to not hear back from management.Within the Bucks County area, I probably have 50 relatives that I visit from time to time. Peddlers Village is a frequent destination for us and have been to Buttonwood Grill many times. This time, I was with an 80-year old aunt and two cousins.A ton a flies landed on us, our food, and our glasses (gross). We endured a rude and repeatedly sarcastic hostess. Management decided not to follow up on a valid and important-to-the-business, complaint.
We arrived at 2 pm for lunch. The first server delivered water and coffee then disappeared. About 40 minutes later we asked another staff member to take our ordet which was served cold and had to be taken back to the kitchen to be reheated. Very dissppointed by what was a great little resturant.
We have eaten here a handful of times. Each time, the seats had crumbs on them or the table didn’t seem very clean. Tonight it smelled musty, like the AC needed to be cleaned. There was also an abundance of flies, presumably because the waitstaff kept leaving the patio door open. We decided no to eat there again.
Absolutely delicious food, and a great selection to choose from, making it that much harder to choose what you want! But regardless of what you select, you will not be disappointed. I find the pricing comparable to most restaurants, but some may think its a touch more. The service is always friendly and helpful; the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Definitely a favorite of mine.
The service was outstanding. I think our server was Kelly. She had great energy and was on point with everything. Even brought some veggies and dip for the kiddos right away. The menu doesnt change much but what they do here they do very well. The burgers and fries are solid. Some of the best in bucks!! Great beer selection too. The bartenders always get to know you a bit and take pride. Love coming here on Fridays when its not too crazy. Summers can sit outside on the large deck.
Great tasting burger. Staff was great. *Edit to my review. Worth mentioning this was the first day of outdoor dining in the yellow phase. A torrential rain shower began just after we ordered our food. In spite of this, the staff still tended to our every need and were making every attempt to bring humor to everyone that was there.
I used to love this place, but since going gluten free I’m disappointed in the options and lack of flexibility to accommodate. They don’t even have gluten free buns for their burgers, which is now offered almost everywhere. The service was good, though, and our waiter was attentive and as helpful as he could be.
This place never disappoints. My family and I were in tonight for dinner. Our server, Sam, was an absolute gem. You could tell she was very busy, but she remained extremely composed and friendly. She was the true definition of service with a smile. Thanks, Sam! You made our dinner very enjoyable.
Best dinner I have had in a long time. Customer service was great. Thank you Macy for a great night. Must have the calamari... cooked to perfection and sauce was amazing! The cheeseburger was awesome both the regular and the bacon burger. If your in the area and are hungry you need to come here to try this place out!
Weve eaten at this restaurant twice. The food and service were good and outdoor seating was plentiful. The second time we ate there, we were joined by my parents. The portions are large, so my mom took home half of her sandwich. The next day she took out the sandwich to have for lunch. She bit --- into a bandaid! This was 4 weeks ago, so no point in calling the restaurant now, but especially these days, that is beyond gross. Arent kitchen staff supposed to be wearing gloves? How does a bandaid get into a sandwich? At some point, someone with an open wound was handling food with no gloves. A visit from the health department sounds warranted.Needless to say, we will not be returning.
We always hit this place when we’re in Peddler’s Village. the beer selection is always really good and the burgers are hands down the best. i always get the bbq guinness burger and it’s always very satisfying. the fries are always nice and crisp, and i highly recommend trying the dill potato salad. it’s light and refreshing, as well as delicious. it’s got a lot of windows on the lower level so there’s tons of natural light. the patio is lit up at night and gives a really nice atmosphere to eat.
My husband and I went here for an early lunch on a Saturday. The calamari appetizer was really good (super crunchy and not fishy at all). The service was fast and exceptional. My husband ordered a burger and it was by far the best we have ever had. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was that I ordered a salad as my meal which I thought was a little below average in both size and flavor.
My son just loves him some burgers and last night we dined here. The burgers were phenomenal and service was impeccable. The pickles were just the perfect size and the perfect crisp to crunch. I had so much finger licking good food I had to unbutton a few on my britches. I wouldnt mind the good Lord letting me live another year just to enjoy a meal here next Christmas when I visit.
Great food and atmosphere. The place started to get a little busy when we were there and the waitress was a bit out of sorts. She served other people who got there after us their food first and we were there for a long time. We also had to remind her to give our kids deserts that were included in the menu. She also didnt know much about the variety of wines that they serve. The food, however was amazing! From the burger to the ribs, pizza and salmon. If the service was better, I wouldve given 5 stars!
The waitress was really great... the food was awesome. I got the onion rings as an appetizer and they were amazing. Also, the pizza was incredible.A couple flies were hanging around which was kind of annoying when we were trying to eat.Its definitely a great spot for a fun lunch.
The burgers are excellent! Ground chuck, brisket, and ribs are combined perfectly to construct what may be the most incredible burger experience I have ever had.We had a party of six and the wait for all our food to come out was not long at all. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck.We look forward to coming back!
Id drive out of my way for the burger. The burger was the best Ive ever had. Literally the best ive ever had. It wasnt overcooked and just fell apart. So juicy! They have some unique beers. Its a decent size bar with a welcoming environment which includes fireplaces. The servers were very friendly. Service was fast. The fish taco was also delicious. The tortillas were toasted perfectly and even with the salsa and sauce, the fish wasnt overpowered by it. Totally worth it! Go!!
Outdoor Dining area appeared very lovely until we sat down and ordered. The amount of bugs flying around and landing all over everything was out of control. The whole table and everyone in our party was covered in bugs. Can’t speak about the food, it was impossible to enjoy with all the bugs. When we mentioned it to the server we were told that it always this way. Management needs to take care of this huge problem before allowing outdoor dining. Hire an exterminator or spray the area each and every day before opening.
All in all I was underwhelmed. We got the calamari after reading the rave reviews and it was fine but nothing special. Also it was only rings and no tentacles which is my favorite part.I got the ribs which were cooked perfectly - meat pulled cleanly off the bone and not mushy - however the sauce was terrible. Tasted like they were topped with canned sloppy joe mix. I ended up taking most of them home and putting on some store bought bbq sauce which made them fine.Another person in my party got the shrimp gnocchi. It had a very strong lemon flavor which I liked but it was a little too strong for them.Last in our party got the pastrami sandwich which was decent. Good quantity. A little dry but not terrible. Also be aware that, being one of the more casual places to eat in peddlers village, there is a good chance of encountering screaming kids. I specifically asked for a table far from kids but we ended up near some anyway, but I figured Id play it by ear. We got lucky and were just signing the bill and leaving as the kid at the opposite table began to scream.I would consider going back and trying something else - probably one of their signature burgers which looked pretty good at the next table over.
Calamari was enjoyed and approved by my 4.5 year old son who absolutely loved it. Light and crispy with great seasoning. Dipping sauce was great.Fish Tacos were sub-par, wouldnt order again. No flavor on the fish and I had to ask for more of the sauce, which when delivered I think was same from Calamari.Truffle and mushrooms pizza is amazing. My friend shared a slice of hers and we really loved it. Will totally order this again along with calamari.Good turnover, lots if seating.
We stopped in for an early dinner. The place is very nice and quite large so there was pleny of room betwee tables. Our server Joanne was fantstic. The Calmari app was great and my Wife loved the grilled Salmon over apple fennel with grilled sweet potato. I had the Grandma Mia pie and it was perfect. Very thin crust with with garlic, basil and a nice sauce. We will certainly go back when we stop again.
Im leaving two review since I come here often. The breakfast here lately has been sub par. The quality has seemed to decline, coffee burnt, and service isnt as friendly as the dinner staff. It almost feels like you are bothering the waitress. My recent visit included cold food and more flies at our table then desired. Hopefully breakfast gets better.
Totally rude staff!! We were at The Buttonwood Grill today at 11:25am and we asked to be seated. The woman said they opened at Noon, so we walked around Peddler’s Village. We came back at 11:50am and stood in line until they opened exactly at Noon. Three couples were ahead of us, the dining area was empty. We asked again to be seated for a party of 2, and the same woman asked if we had a reservation, we didn’t. She then told us we needed to wait 45 minutes until all her reservations were seated. Why did she not give us this information at 11:25am that if we didn’t have a reservation we would need to wait for a table. Why? RUDE.We left and had a wonderful lunch at The Pineville TavernService rating 0/5
Sitting in the restaurant right now. Waited almost 15 minutes before the waitress came to our table. Put our order in. Waited another 10 minutes for drinks to come (3 iced teas). We ordered a cheeseburger and 2 pepperoni pizzas. Only 1 pizza came out. Had to wait for the 2nd. The waitress never offered refills on the 3 empty glasses that were on the table. Had to ask for them. Meals were pretty good. Asked for 2 more refills after we were finished. She brought over 1. Told her that we needed two. She never brought it. Terrible service.
Best burgers! Only thing I would request to give it 5 stars, when you have a room full of families with screaming kids, you shouldnt have a two seater in the mix. Couples do not want to be seated there. Its a couple because we either wants to 1) be on date 2) dont like kids 3) we hired a babysitter so we didnt have to be with kids. Otherwise great food. We ended up walking out of where we were seated and going to the outside tables, where there was better parenting happening and it was quieter.
We just tried to eat lunch here and it was an EXTREME disappointment. We were sat at a table on the patio surrounded by bees; probably 6-8 of them swarming around. Then we waited for over 15 minutes and no server ever came over. We finally got fed up and walked out. Terrible service!
Superb service. Staff are genuine in their desire to be attentive and serve. The staff did not flinch when I asked for something they do not usually serve. The salad I had was exceptional. So many places today do not pay attention to small imperfections in their lettuces and greens, but there was not one bad piece of lettuce. The Caesar dressing was light and yet robust. The chicken was flavorfully grilled. The menu looks quite good and full of variety. Stop in and stay a while.
I really wanted to give Buttonwood Grill 4 stars, but nothing stands out about this restaurant to put it above the rest. The food was good with decent portion sizes and a variety of burgers. The beer was good with a couple of options. The restaurant could consider turning down the lights a little and carrying vegan cheese for the great number of Americans who are lactose intolerant. If we return to Peddlers Village we may eat here again.
I was extremely disappointed last night. First... The menu just never changes. Second... We ordered the calamari appetizer... It was not fresh at all. It was extremely tough. Third...i ordered the tenderloin medallions medium. They came well done. There was no issue sending it back and they did fix it and serve it at the temperature i requested although it was EXTREMELY tough/chewy for tenderloin. I did let the waitress know but i ate it anyway considering we were there long enough and the other people i was with had been finished and waiting for me. There was no offer to make anything right at that point and it was just an overall disappointing meal.
Waitress seemed to not want ro be bothered, good thing they have waitress assistance ,or her tip would of been like her service, not good! I would of never picked a place like this if I was familiar with it! We came from out of state and had dinner reservations and a breakfast voucher, and breakfast we had the pleasure of looking at fly strips hanging over the tables, never again!
Honestly this place is all hype. I’ve lived in this area for 6+ years and been here 3-4 times for ease for visitors and every time is worse.I’ve consistently had really poor service who don’t care/aren’t around and the food has been bland, ill-prepared and overpriced. The drinks are good, but the food and service is just so consistently poor. The area is full of amazing restaurants that are well-worth the trip— this place just isn’t one of them!
Had one of the worst experiences ever here. We asked to be seated outside since were at the height of a pandemic. We were the only ones outside because there was a light mist but everything was covered. After the hostess seated us, we waited for approximately 30 minutes and nobody ever came to our table. We just said there, for a half hour, never receiving service. Needless to say we eventually left because the restaurant seemed to have no intention of serving us.
Beautiful restaurant, very friendly staff and very good fish tacos. I would definitely recommend! One suggestion - the noise level is loud in bottom floor dining area (inside patio doors). We were a party of 3 but this must be a location where they seat larger parties (10 or more). If crowded and you want to have normal conversation, avoid these tables if possible.
You have to try the burger, any style! Probably the best burger in Bucks County. Other dishes are just as good but this burger is one of a kind. Great stop for a hungry lunch or dinner when visiting Peddlers Village. This place is close enough to our home that we visit often. Love to eat outdoors on Summer evenings.
I agree with other “reviewers” that the burgers are good. I have a different review. I ordered the white sangria. The sangria was very tasty but at $12.00 was very pricy especially when it did not include fruit! Can’t have sangria without fruit Please just add a slice or 2 some kind of fruit so I know it is a sangria!!!
Everyone knows that the food is really good at Buttonwood. Do you know that you can get something light? Something heavy? Something cheap? Something not so cheap? The icing on the cake is the SERVICE. Two of us went on a Saturday at lunch, there was something going on so tons of people were there. The employees helped one another!!I loved Caseys demeanour. He was responsive to my table where we were older, the tables with kids, everyone!!Kudos.
This is a family favorite restaurant. Once a year, in December, we go to Peddlers Village. We go to the Buttonwood Grill for dinner. My father in law stays at the Grill, unable to walk to the stores. They are very accommodating. The food is delicious and the wait staff is knowledgeable. We celebrate two December birthdays, and after dinner, we have cake that my mother in law has brought. The Buttonwood is accommodating and bring us cake plates and cutlery. The food is delicious.
Second time being here with the family and we love this place! Front desk staff is just ok, but waiter was good. The empty plate is the Guinness burger which was amazing and my family had the pulled pork and regular cheese Burger. As you can see they are almost finished. Lol
Had a day out with no kids for first time in a while. My wife and decided to go to Buttonwood. We’ve been here in the past so figured why not.We sit down and start looking at the menu. Took about 15 minutes before waitress finally came over. Ok no big deal, no kids so not in a terrible hurry. Waitress basically throughs some coasters at us, explains “sorry I’m really busy do we know what we want?” We say not really sure but we’ll start with the calamari and we ordered some drinks.Waited about 15 more minutes for apps and drinks and put in food order. So calamari was so salty it was seriously inedible. I saw the manager walk by so I flagged him down and explained the problem. He was very apologetic and asked what he could replace it with. My wife and I agreed on one of the pizzas.10 minutes, 20 minutes, now a half hour. Not a single visit from our waitress or any food. It was like we were forgotten there. So in total it was almost an hour since we ordered our meals. At this point we gave up went to the hostess stand and asked to pay for the drinks that we were leaving. Manager was walking by so again flagged him down asked him for the tab for the drinks and explained we were done just give us the bill. He did give us the drinks and said he’s sorry that we could leave. It really is a shame. We’ve been here in the past and the burgers are great. But with that said sitting there like we’ve been forgotten wasn’t how we had the evening thought out.
I had been here before a few years ago and had a good experience and meal but not today. The waiter didnt seem happy to be there. He also got my order wrong. I ordered the SW border burger with a veggie patty and just got a veggie burger with cheese and regular toppings. I had also ordered the dill potato salad on the side but got fries instead. Regretted going here especially today on our anniversary for a nice dinner.
I love this place during the summer but this time I dont know what happen, I usually order a burger (all burgers here are great) but I order the ribs (dried , day old not fresh) on a Friday night it was not as I expected from here . Server never came back to offer a drink so one drink the whole meal. It could have been an off day but its the day I will remember.
Went for a casual business meeting with an associate who had never been before and my wife. They set us up in a cozy corner where we could speak freely with sufficient room to lay out our paperwork and still have plentry of elbow room. Food was top notch as always, service was great and the price for three lunches, two hopped beverages and a soda was exactly where it should have been for the caliber of food and service. Not inexpensive but certainly not overpriced for such great food. It is fast becoming our go to place when you want to take it up a notch.
I expected a lot more when I saw the prices on the menu. For medium-high prices, I expected not only good service, but also good food. While the service was great, the food was lacking. My girlfriend and I ordered two apps and two burgers. The hamburgers were very uninspired and frankly not worth the money. The appetizers, calamari and onion rings, were better but still not great. My calamari was bland, and not very fresh. The onion rings were by far the best thing we ate, but their dipping sauce tasted off. Not weird, but off.We also ordered two cocktails. Sangria and a rye whisky drink. The sangria tasted like they used the wrong type of red wine, and the whisky drink tasted like they used too much simple syrup and not enough whisky. When we got the check for all of the above, I realized why the dining room was so empty. No one in their right mind should have to pay that much for that little. At least nothing was dangerously bad. Just really uninspired and poorly done. With prices that high its definitely a place I wouldnt recommend to anyone.I wish that the food and drink matched the nice decor and really good front of house staff. Maybe in the future they will be able to meet the expectations that a menu that expensive sets.
A bit disappointed with this place to be honest. Visited peddlers village last weekend. When I called the restaurant ahead to make a reservation, I was told we can walk-in but wait time is 1.5hrs. But when we actually got to the place (20-30 mins after), it was a 30min wait time to be seated indoors but immediate seating if we agreed to sit outside. We were hungry and we agreed to sit outside. As we passed though, we saw several tables that were actually available indoors. The food was only ok. ordered a pizza and vegetarian shepherds pie. The pie was all right. it lacked flavor. But the pizza was a let down. description said mozzarella, tomatoes, garlic and pesto. Expected pizza with pesto sauce, some tomato toppings and crushed garlic. but what we got was plain cheese pizza (yes, tomatoes meant marinara sauce) with raw garlic cloves (not cut, not crushed, not powdered, not roasted...WHOLE) and a drizzle of some green thing that didnt even taste like pesto.Overpriced and overhyped. Still giving it 3 stars.
My daughter-in-law and myself loved your restaurant. We ate there Tuesday night and our waiter Chase was very friendly and gave us 5 star service. We actually made it a point to return the next day for dinner because of him. He is definitely an asset to your restaurant.
I was very disappointed I only received the wood with my burger no button was served. Please change the name of the restaurant it reflects the actual food. Really was craving some buttons. OK Burgers tho. The kid with the afro was pretty cool and definitely needs a pay raise
Wasn’t nearly as good as last time. Service was extremely slow and the waitress only checked on us once in the hour we were there. My burger was completely dried out and not even close to medium well. I don’t think I’ll come back even though my first visit a year ago was phenomenal. I dont know what happened!
Sat and waited for about ten minutes at the table right next to the server station. The servers loudly talked about their concerns and no ones even came to the table to say hi. Went to host, asked for a server, asked to be moved away from the loud server station. It was a no for the move, and apparently a no for service. 5 minutes later me and wife just got up and left. Funniest part at least 4 people were standing by the door just say goodnight and goodbye. Didnt even ask why after sitting down unserved I would leave. Disappointing.
First time visiting the former Spotted Hog. After a morning shopping at Rices Flea Market, lunch was definitely needed. There is now a an outdoor deck which is large with many tables, but well spaced. We did not feel hurried by our waiter even though a long line had formed since we arrived. Nice menu with something for everyone.
Buttonwood Grill is one of our favorite restaurants and always pleases. The food is consistently great, the drink selection (both a wide selection of beers and festive seasonal mixed drinks) is sure to satisfy, and the wait staff is top-notch. If youre in the mood for a burger, sandwich or even some pizza, this is a pretty great place to go.
We had dinner here yesterday at a time when it wasnt even busy. Our chicken quesadilla was served cold on the inside. The kitchen made us a new one when we let the waitress know but its still unacceptable to serve cold chicken when its supposed to be hot. Then we got our meals and I noticed that my turkey burger looked kind of dark. I bit into it and it tasted funny. The waitress came over and asked if we got the right food, and I inquired about my turkey burger which she then informed me was actually a beef burger!! What a huge mistake!! I dont eat beef and am disgusted that they served it to me. They took the appetizer price off our bill when really they shouldnt have charged for either the appetizer or the turkey burger. The waitress was the only okay thing about this place. Im thankful she came over to check on us after we had gotten our food. Even the food my husband got that was right was just okay. Summary... not going back here again.
Really disappointed. We had to eat with our hands because the waitress didn’t give us forks, she also forgot the drink and dessert and when she brought it, she placed it on top of a dirty plate. When we complained she seemed mad. No apologies whatsoever. The food was good, but the waitress and her poor training ruined it.
Previous visits to the restaurants were ok, but this will definitely be my last. Service was horrendous. After asking for a high chair when seated, hostess sat us at a booth (which we didnt ask for) and disappeared. After flagging her down for the high chair, she seemed annoyed since we couldnt put a high chair at the booth and switched our table. The server was very rude, never came back for our bar order. The food came out cold and was very sloppy, not what I expect for a $14 burger. when the server finally came to check on us, my husband commented that he was a little disappointed with the burger and that it was cold. The server was very rude and barely apologized. No sign of a manager, anything. When the server brought the check he actually told usto grab it from under his arm since he was carrying dishes. It was honestly the worst service I have ever had.
I ordered a Kennett Square pizza, which is a thin crust pizza with gorgonzola and truffle oil, and it was excellent. They also had a great beer selection, organized by type on the menu, so if you like stouts, as I do, they were easily identifiable. Service was great and I never felt as though I was kept waiting for anything, despite the large party of twelve I was with.
I think I was misled by their look. I had Bistros steak (or Chefs steak? I dont quite remember the name) and I should say, it was the worst steak ever. My wife ordered half rib and when it was served, it was completely dark and burnt and not edible so she had to ask our server to replace it.Why two stars, not just one? Well, one star for the server and the manager. Our server was friendly and she offered to bring new half rib and the manager took a bowl of soup off the bill as a token of apology. The other star for a great kids menu
Update 7/30/2019 the manager Jessica responded back to me the very next day and ask to speak with me. We spoke about the issue I had and she insured me there would be a staff meeting to address this issue I was very pleased with the conversation we had and felt Jessica would resolved this issue. I’m confident that the next time my family and I eat here there will be no issues thanks Jessica for your swift action on this matter .
Was told 1 hr wait for a table and checked twice and told a bumch of people ahead of us each time. It has now been 1 hr 45 min and still no text telling me my table ready. I ended up at wawa as I was getting nauseous from hunger.. i will not recommend this to anyone as that id unacceptable.
Love what they have done to what was the spotted hog for sooooo many years. I was a little taken back at first that they took the spotted hog away, as it is a nice, happy place for families or friends with littles. But I was thrilled to see they added outdoor seating. And as far as I can tell the only missing thing are the peanut shells on the bar floor. 😉

2021-07-16AMAZING burger!!! The Guinness burger was the best burger I’ve ever had. The sweet potato fries were fantastic as well. It was a bit loud since a big party was near us, but the food and service made up for it. Our server was so helpful with navigating us around the menu. Will be coming back!!

2022-05-16Food was wonderful, as always. We have been going to Buttonwood for at least 10 years. Waitstaff is always friendly and informative and new items and specials on the menu. Food service is timely and always tastes fresh. They have fun seasonal drinks and menu add-ons, which are creative and usually delicious! Love the atmosphere of the restaurant, its casual but can also be perfect to dress up for a date night. Love going here and introducing people to it as well. Only thing I can say is bring back the pulled pork fries, they are my absolute favorite thing and it needs to be on the menu year round.

2021-11-05Enjoyed a fantastic Turkey burger with my friends at Buttonwood Grill. (I also tried their burgers which were delicious!) The place was not only clean, but the staff was friendly and the restaurant was not that crowded for a late Friday afternoon. When I visit Peddlers Village again, Ill definitely visit Buttonwood Grill!!

2021-07-24Buttonwood is wonderful. Reasonably priced, well portioned meals and friendly staff. The minute we sat down our waitress came to check on us and was attentive and helpful throughout. The vibe is very laid back and the community around it is beautiful and picturesque like something from a catalouge or postcard. There is outdoor dining but we ate indoors and there is a good amount of space in between tables, since Covid is still going on.The food is awesome. Presentation is wonderful , plates are filled and they listen to your food requests. The sweet potatoe fries are crisp and tasty without being too salty, the chicken is well done, the South Philly stone fried thin crusted pizzas cheese is the perfect gooiness mixing well with the not overly salted Italian sausage and it came to the table nice and hot. Even the salmon salad was filling, with crisp green lettuce and delicious grilled salmon. The wings are a must, as is the hummus as appetizer! And the current seasons dessert was a Blueberry cheesecake slice that was like eating a fluffy cloud with blueberries. Perfection.10/10 on all fronts. And as an added bonus plenty of free parking across the street. Will definitely go back, and highly recommend this place.
