Had a very good experience with this clinic. First time going here and they were quick and very communicative about my cat’s needs. The ladies who work there seem very caring and made sure I had everything I needed for my cat. The vet also did a good job of answering my questions and working with me to find a good medication for my cat. I will definitely be returning to them.
I love the service both Dr..Thomas and the techs provide to my furbaby Pepe. He is my everything so naturally I was nervous when he was having surgery. Dr. Thomas went above and beyond to do everything he could to ease my anxiety while showing love to my little guy! Absolutely recommend this vet!
This place is BEYOND AMAZING! They have gone above and beyond for my puppy and I will absolutely recommend every pet owner I know to this office. The staff are so communicative, the vet explains everything in detail, & the cost is unbelievably low compared to other places Ive been. 5 stars all around!!!!
The staff there is always so nice and accommodating! I have an anxious Dutch Shepherd and they are patient and kind with us. Brittney (sp?) was helpful and professional. Dr. Thomas was patient and thorough and really took time with us, which I appreciate. This vet was such a great find!
Back on December 28th 2018, we found a stray cat that needed immediate vet help. He has his jaw bleeding and it looked like he got some tumor on it. We decided to take the poor kitty to the vet and, while looking up for one we came across Carying Hands Vet Clinic @ 3310 Grant Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114 on which was not too far from us. At that place vet insisted to do x-ray right away. X-ray, from our point, wasn’t necessary, there wasn’t any hit or broken jaw. As we were desperate we patiently were doing what vet said. But no results appeared. There was a tumor that was bleeding, we came in with straight & visible problem, and we need it to be checked not MRI or X-Ray. But vet did the x-ray and that is all he did for that cat. They even didn’t touch the cat’s jaw, they even didn’t see the tumor, and they didn’t even open the mouth to see how bad the jaw was. So, basically, they did nothing and didn’t give us any answer what happened, what the problem is, how to help poor cat but charged us $461! They didn’t even give any discount for this stray cat knowing that we are volunteers and pay from our own pocket. Next day we went to another place, where they confirmed the cat had tumor, they requested at least to have x-ray results from Carying Hands Vet Clinic (rip off hospital!) so when we called, they said it’s going to be another week before we can receive those! Unfortunately, this kitty didn’t survive as it was a tumor (cancer), the jaw was destroyed and he couldn’t eat. I’m asking everyone who see this review to think twice before going into this hospital, where they’re rude heartless ripoff who thinks about how to charge you more money and never about helping out saving a life! As we brought him from the street trying to help all we could have done at that point and at the time when I was crying waiting for the kitty to be taken look at - gave me a paper to sign with all the extra charges knowing how stressed out I am and will sign anything because I have a heart and unfortunately, they don’t at all.
The woman at the front desk, Monica, doesnt belong at a vet clinic. Shes extremely rude and gives attitude. I havent gone to this vet in years and now I remember why. The vet himself isnt that great but I wont even get into that here. Monica isnt at all comforting or helpful. I called because I was extremely worried about my dogs behavior and this clinic is the closest one to my house. Monica acted like she couldnt care less. Didnt ask me any questions, didnt recommend any emergency clinics- nothing. She one word answered me and was very dismissive. I could barely hold my tears back and she was just so rude to me which didnt make me feel any better. I then called BUCKINGHAM ANIMAL HOSPITAL (AKA THE BEST VET EVER) and the woman at the front desk was VERY caring, asked me so many questions about my dog, and scheduled my dog for the earliest possible appointment.Caring Hands is one of the worst vets Ive ever been to, and I will never recommend it to ANYONE.
❤️This is such a wonderful place! I am so glad we picked this veterinarian, Dr.Thomas and his staff! They were truly amazing and caring for our Penny’s surgery. Our Penny will continue to be a patient there. They were economically reasonable especially during these Covid19 pandemic time’s. It’s great to have a business that cares about your family pet and not take advantage during these uncertain times. I highly recommend them! Shout out to Holly for scheduling her so quickly and Kaylah for taking great care of her! Thank you all!
Dr. Thomas and his staff are excellent. Our dog has increased anxiety whenever he is at the vet due to our prior clinics poor care/handling of him. We took our dog to Caring Hands for his annual exam, and the staff took great care of him. All of my concerns and questions were answered, and the staff was friendly/welcoming. I highly recommend Caring Hands to anyone who is looking for a new veterinary clinic.
Doctor Thomas and his team have done an FHO, Bladder Stone Removal, and Dental for two of my furbabies and they were excellent. No complications whatsoever, surgery sites were impeccable and their recoveries were seamless. The staff are friendy, kind, professional and responsive. I work at a different animal facilitiy where his work proceeds him. Everyone only ever had a good word to say and thats how I came across the clinic. They were right. Coming to this practice for care would never be a mistake!
There is no one else I trust more with my fur babies. Dr. Thomas, and his staff have always provided my fur babies with exceptional care. Im always appreciative for Monica, Kayla, and Brittany. They always ask how my other pets are doing, the love they have for animals shows. They are always patient and informative, and always helpful with any questions I have. Dr. Thomas has even called to check on my pup when he wasnt feeling well, while he was on vacation. My pets are my family, and it means everything to know that they will always get the best care.Thank you for always taking care of my dogs Archie and Bowie, and my kitties Gray Boy and Rufus.
The name says it all! My two experiences here were during the pandemic so I wasn’t able to go in with my cat baby. They came out to get him, and kept me informed throughout the entire process. It helped put me at ease and feel as if they truly cared about my cat and making sure he was treated appropriately. They made sure I understood everything and patiently answered all my questions. I’m sad that I’m no longer in the area but I hope to find a Vet as great as Caring Hands
Dr. Thomas and his staff are wonderful!! My husband and I took our one dog there for the first time and they were so compassionate and friendly. I really loved that they followed up with a phone call to see how she was doing! Dr. Thomas was great with our dog, she is a Dogue de Bordeaux (Turner and Hooch dog) Wonderful experience!!
Since finding caring hands I have had only good experiences with the way they operate the clinic as well how amazing and caring the staff is. I really think they are very responsible in prices to. I’m glad I didn’t settle for just any vet cause now my babies are in good hands
Dr. Thomas was fantastic with my dog, Niko, when I brought him in on a sick visit. Despite being booked for the day they managed to squeeze us in. The staff is just incredible. From the friendly and kind receptionist to the well educated vet techs. They were knowledgeable and very understanding. They took very good care of my newly rescued dog in our time of need. I feel the prices are pretty fair considering most other places cost a lot more and I think the level of care you receive while there is well worth the money.
This place was great!!!!!! I did not feel pushed into any treatments I felt my dog was in gentle hands even tho I could not be with him during COVID! I already recommend my mother who booked an appointment with this vet! We finally left another vet who was rude but the prices were great. Your prices are just as affordable and that with your much better service beats them but a long shot!
I’m so very grateful for the staff at Caring Hands ❤️ My kitty, Chloe, was 15 & suddenly fell very very ill. I took her to this vet, & I couldn’t of been happier with my decision. The young woman who checked Chloe’s temperature, & weight was very sweet to me and to Chloe, & very patient with Chloe’s moodiness. The vet was also very kind, & very honest. Chloe’s infection was impossible to treat, & the vet told me very honestly that the treatments were very unlikely to work. Although I had to put my baby to sleep, I’m grateful for the honesty and kindness I received at this office. They aren’t money hungry, or in a rush to get to the next room, it is very clear they’re compassionate about animals here. I’ll start bringing my dog here very soon!
Absolute best vet you could choose to go to. Dr Thomas is the absolute most compassionate and caring vet Ive ever had. He is so patient with animals. The rest of the staff is amazing as well. Kelly is our favorite vet tech shes always so positive and amazing with dogs. Ive never had a bad experience. As long as your appointment is scheduled youll always be helped on time. They dont spike prices or try to give you any services that you dont need. Best place to bring your animal by far!
I foster for a rescue, and had a kitten that suddenly became very ill and needed to see a vet right away. The staff at Caring Hands were so accommodating, letting us come in very close to closing, and stayed as long as was needed. They were kind and professional and I never once felt rushed. I liked Dr. Thomas very much. He has a wonderfully calm, serene manner, and seemed truly concerned not only about the kittens health, but the kitten itself, even being kind enough to clean the poor little thing up as she was covered with a mess and smelled so bad. He seemed down to earth, compassionate, and conservative in his treatment. He recommended the tests he felt were necessary without going overboard, yet at the same time used his knowledge and experience as well to figure out what he thought was wrong, as it wasnt all that obvious and could have been a few different things. He seemed to have a good balance. It is now the next day and so far it seems his instincts were correct. He prescribed some medication and the kitten is improving. One more issue, I have been fostering and in rescue a long time, and I felt like Dr. Thomas respected the idea I could have some knowledge without feeling like I was stepping on his toes. Thats not always the case, and I was very impressed by that. I plan to switch to Caring Hands for my own pets from now on.
I took my kitten here today. Fast, courteous, and great care for the money! They took my baby fur in quickly. They called me from the exam room (they arent allowing people inside due to covid) in no less than 5 minutes. She was checked, and brought back to us with meds in hand! Thank you Caring Hands!
My dog Charlie (Yorkie) has come to doctor Thomas since he was a month old and he’s now almost 6 years olds. They’re always available and care so good for my boy. I love this place so much, professionals and always willing to help with open appointments, my dog is always getting into something but they always seem to safe his life! . Thank you!
Dr. Thomas is so amazing and knowledgeable. Everyone loves my dog and are so friendly and gentle with him. It was hard to find a good vet that fit my price range. Though some of the vaccines are a little on the pricey side it feels good knowing my dog is well taken care of. Id recommend here to anyone.
Monica at Front Desk is always a pleasure to see, & Kayla was meant to do this kind of work. Makes me feel so comfortable & just so easy to talk to And the BEST for last, Dr. Thomas is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! And prices are BEST IN TOWN **************!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(No Kidding)
Caring Hands Vet Clinic has the best staff and doctors. They treat your pet as if they were their own. I took my dog over with no appointment and was told it would be awhile since I wasnt scheduled, he was taken back in 20 minutes! The tech was so good with him and he wasnt anxious. I will definitely recommend Caring Hands to anyone in need of a vet.
Love, love ,love Dr Thomas and the staff, I have been patronizing Caring Hands since 2014, I think I am the one who has brought him the most animals, I need to ask the staff one day but thats because I have faith in Dr.Thomas, if there was anything that I would complain about is that since the pandemic he has been so busy that when I get an appointment with him I am absolutely thrilled
Brought my guinea pig Bella here because she had an infection that kept coming back and they treated her so well, even offered to see if her nails needed to be trimmed and they would do it. Bella got so much better after coming and them giving us better antibiotics then our other vet did. Though Bella did pass away a month later due to old age from being 5-1/2 but we will definitely be bringing my other guinea pig here in the future!
My daughter and I took our cat Frisco to see Dr. Thomas for our first visit today. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, it is very clean and not crowded. Dr. Thomas was amazing!!! Not to mention the prices were exceptional compared to other vet services...we will definitely recommend to all our friends and family .....we are very very pleased with the services provided by Caring Hands and Dr. Thomas...
Fantastic vet! I take my dogs here and my daughter takes her dogs and bunny here. We love this vet, they are always so kind and helpful whether its just a check up or a health issue. Not to mention their prices are great compared to other vets. I HIGHLY recommend this vet to everyone I know. If you need a vet- look no further. You wont regret it!
Im pretty sure I have visited every veterinarian in NE Philadelphia and by far, Caring Hands is my favorite. The doctor is not an alarmist, meaning Ive gone to other vets and they wanted to test for everything and perform all these different procedures that were, in my opinion, often unnecessary. At Caring Hands, I found the doctor to be reassuring and very knowledgeable. I took my cat to two different vets due to a tearing eye and discharge. They both said it was viral and would go away. Well, a year later I go to Caring Hands and the doctor said that his lower eyelid is turned in (which is normal in some older pets) and thats what is causing the tearing. He said it could be fixed by surgery, but he wanted to treat with a medication first and see how the cat does. So I never feel like they have their hand in my pocket. And Ive never had to wait more than 5 minutes, which for those of us with nervous animals, is extremely important. Pricing is average but fair and they are more than happy to give an estimate. There are just somethings that you have to spend money on and in my opinion, my pets comfort and health are one of those things. So do I recommend Caring Hands??? Absolutely! Oh...did I mention that they have a lot of evening hours??? So no longer do I need to schedule a month in advance or take off from work. Love it.
I was recently told my dog had a urinary tract infection by my local animal urgent care facility. I took her back to the urgent care near me (NJ) 2 days later because she wasnt getting any better and was then told the veterinarians discussed my dogs case and now said she had pyometra and needed emergency surgery. That night I left there and took her to VSEC in Philadelphia (emergency animal hospital). I spent a ton of money and was told my dog was stable enough to go home and undergo an ultrasound ($450) that was scheduled in VSECs Levittown, Pa location that morning. Surgery alone with the veterinarians hospital runs $3,000 - $4,000 during emergency hours. The morning of the scheduled ultrasound I started making calls to other veterinarians to see who could and would possibly operate on my dog because I was under a great deal of pressure to save my dogs life and time was of the essence. I called at 8 am and Dr. Thomass staff patiently listened to my desperate plea for help and by the grace of god agreed to operate that morning and help save my yorkies life. I jumped up, grabbed my dog and left in a hurry for Philly. Dr. Thomas was thorough and carefully listened to every detail while I explained the nightmare I was going through. Dr. Thomas offered to do what no other veterinarian could do for me that day - operate on my baby. DR. THOMAS IS THE BEST!!!!! He performed a complicated surgery only certain veterinarians can perform and did an excellent job!!! He truly cares for these animals and isnt all about the money and doing unnecessary testing. He is truly a kind and very knowledgeable doctor and I would definitely recommend him and his awesome staff to take care of your furry family member!!! My baby is doing great and wouldnt be here today if it wasnt for Dr. Thomas and his staff. Please entrust your furry loved one with Dr. Thomas it will be the best choice you ever make!!
They r the best, loving compassionate, they put my cat Milkshake down, he was old and sick. I was heartbroken, they were wonderful. Even sent me a card of condolences to me! This is not the vet that put my cat down,. I didnt put there name there. They r probably big sneaks to defraud my imput like they have here.
Dr. Thomas and his staff are incredible. There are no suggestions I could make for their manners or etiquette for animals/loved ones. We have 4 dogs and a cat. Ive taken all of my loved 4-legged family members, as well as anyone that asks me questions that I dont know the answer, to goto Caring Hands and experience the knowledge, love and care from the doctor and staff.❤️🐶🐶🐶🐶🐱❤️
I am using one of the online pharmacies for prescription medications for my dog, because they are cheaper that the clinic’s pharmacy offers. Caring hands clinic refuses to confirm prescriptions to online pharmacies so I have to request a physical copy each time to mail it to the online pharmacy. I called Caring Hands this morning to ask for a prescription and spoke to receptionist who collected my information and told me that she was going to talk the doctor and give me a call back. After 2 hours I called again and spoke to another receptionist, who put me on hold for 15 min and then got back to me asking if the medication was for my dog. She had me 15 min on hold just to double check on my dog’s name and put me on another 15 min on hold, when she came back, she told me that she was going to give the doctor a note that I needed a prescription. When I asked to speak for the office manager, the receptionist said that there was actually a time frame 24-48 hours for the prescription to be approved. When I said that I still wanted to talk to the office manager because they could have told me this the first time I called, she put me on hold again. While being on the phone I jumped in my car and drove to the clinic.when I arrived I was still on hold. When ihave finally got talk to Monica the office manager, she just repeated the same - I needed to wait up to 48 hours, no apology, nothing. She was just siting in the receptionist’s chair and showing me her attitude. When I said that I will make sure that every single social media will know about their service, she called for the doctor. Its a shame that the doctor had to do his managers job, but he was the one who finally explained me their rules, he told me that I actually could request the prescription online, that it was an easy process. I told him that his staff could have told me the same thing when I called first time. His office manager could have told me the same thing and handle this without involving him. When I was on hold for more than an hour total listening the automatic message about how great their service is, how caring they are , how professional they are and knowledgeable I thought to myself - what a lie....I am planning for look for another clinic for my dog despite the fact that I really liked the doctor there.
Love this vet its very personable and everyone is very polite. I would have liked the front end staff during my visit to be more approachable considering I have to communicate with them to finalize my visit. Other than that they took good care of my pup! I will be bringing him and my other baby back in 2 weeks
To say I am grateful to Dr. Siegel and her staff, would be a huge understatement! They were able to see my cat on short notice and due to COVID-19, I cannot go in with him. Dr. Siegel called and reviewed all my questions and reassured my nerves. Spencer will be forever grateful! He looks forward to seeing you at his follow up! TYTY!!
Make simple services less expensive. Yearly vaccinations and having my girls nails clipped are too expensive. I want them to find a way to help people afford to bring their pets for routine visits.I Love it here, the Doctor & staff. I want to have everything done with them, I cannot afford it and it bothers me to take my girls elsewhere. Thank you.
The only issue that I had with our experience is the woman up front I believe her name was Monica. I walked in with Irene (who had an emergency) and I was the first one there and no one was at the counter. A gentlemen walked in with his dog after me and Monica came out from the back and said hello to the dog owner and completely ignored us and proceeded to help him. She did not greet me and gave me an attitude the entire visit. Other then that my experience was good. She needs to work on her people skills.
Such an amazing place. I was there today for the first time and already know this is where I will be taking my dog from now on. My dog has a lot of anxiety associated with veterinary visits, we take her to Banfield and they always seem scared of her and don’t take the time to get her to trust them and make her comfortable. They tell us to put the muzzle on and hold her down without giving her a chance to even approach them. When we saw Dr. Thomas today my dog was very anxious at first and barking at him but he was totally okay with it and showed us his techniques he uses to make the dogs comfortable and trusting towards him, and after a few minutes she was calm and happy with him, letting him examine her. I’ve never seen her act that calm towards a Veterinarian and you could tell he truly cares about animals. By the end of the visit she was happy and wagging her tail. I would recommend this place to everyone!
Prescribed me 200$ worth of anti acids for my dog. They then called me 10 min after I left telling me he has hook worms and charged 63$ for the medicine but wouldnt refund me the anti acids he clearly didnt need in the first place. They prescribed him before knowing what was wrong and I had to pay for it for 0 compensation. I dont recommend. Nice staff tho
When trying to find the best place for your puppy, you want to go to the best - and this place is it. When meeting her they were gentle, they wanted to know eveything, answers every phone call with questions, and checked in up to two days after we met with them! Love this place!
Absolutely the WORST experience Ive ever had dealing with a vet. It seems to me like the people that work their care about your money significantly more than your animal. I brought my sick cat in was told he needed URGENT Xrays and that I would be called back in two days for the results, two days passed and shocker no call for results. This isnt the first time this happened, the same thing happened in February to me when he needed URGENT Blood work work ups, I never got a call back with those results either and had to call 10+ times to get ahold of Dr. Thomas and get the results. I received three different kinds of medication, got home go give my cat them and they werent mixed. I called and didnt receive one Im sorry just a sigh of annoyance and was told to bring them back in, when I got to the door the receptionist came to the door holding and chewing a cookie and was speaking to me with her mouth full of food, didnt say sorry or apologize for the inconvenience. After finally having had enough and complaining a very rude Dr. Wolgin got on the phone and instead of saying sorry once she said yeah yeah yeah a hundred times over clearly humoring me and eager to get me off of the phone then hung up on me!!!!!! I wasnt cursing or raising my voice Id like to note just simply stating how wrong the way everything is being handled was. I will be switching my vet, Terrible Terrible Terrible Service and very unprofessional! Will be telling everyone I know to spread the word of this.
Dr Thomas seems genuinely engaged in making this the best possible experience for pets. The care from Monica, Kayla and Kierra(? Name)was very good. Dr Thomas is really excellent. He has this calming way but is also very focused on doing the best thing for my cat and getting her out of pain. Dr Thomas is excellent at explaining everything pre and post op. He knows exactly how much information to give. I like the set up with the comfort room a lot. Kayla had all the meds ready to go and gave me other important information. Monica was very understanding of my nervousness and I appreciate that. Kierra (?) Is great out front with her upbeat personality, and she gets your animal into a room quickly which is reassuring. Dr Thomas genuinely cares for the animal and picked up on my cats personality type. He was determined to get all 4 stones out which he did successfully. He seems very skilled. Also the place was clean even in the corners which I had concerns about since my cat needed surgery. I feel very comfortable bringing my cats back, 5 stars. Thank you to everyone!!!
Dr. Thomas and staff are the BEST! Dr. Thomas performed a surgery on my rescued dog that 2 other surgeons had declined to do due to risk factors, and he did it at a fraction of the cost of UPenn. The surgery (which started as 2 mandibular canine extractions but became 8 total teeth, and required drilling into the jaw) was a success and this dog is like a whole new being now that hes not in pain every day. Thanks to Caring Hands!I wish I could give Dr. Thomas 5 stars a second time. Once again they came through for my dog, a different dog, and were top knotch. Jan 2020
Not a good experience at all, I brought my 2 dogs for their wellness exams and my 1year old pit was having trouble with his right leg, when Dr. Wojick called me, she kept talking about the left leg which wasnt the issue, she kept saying how nervous they were and they should have been sedated etc. When I came back at her, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!! Of course they are going to be nervous, you have to drop them off and not go inside. You would think they would have a plan by now to help make their visit less stressful. When I tried to call DR WOJICK back she would not take my call, how very rude, unprofessional and coward like. Do not take your pet to see her, cuz if you disagree or go against her you will get the same disrespect
Very professional and courteous staff, they have treated several of our pets over the years, and they do their best to work with you on treatment plan to fit your budget for and older and sick animal like ours who did not have insurance because he was a stray that we adopted.
Dr. Thomas examined my American Bulldog because she was scratching at her ears. It was determined that she had a yeast infection in both ears. Dr. Thomas sent me home with ear wash and a cream to treat the infection.Dr. Thomas spent time explaining to me the nature of the condition and how to treat my dog at home. He did not rush the visit and spent all the time necessary to answer all of my questions. His staff was also very caring and professional. I will also be bringing my toy poodle and Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix to Caring Hands for their veterinary visits. We certainly feel the name Caring Hands is very appropriate.
The staff here are extremely loving and kind to all animals, I witnessed the vet techs sweetly take care of a dog who was obviously stressed out and anxious while in their waiting room as if it was second nature and they were all very personable. I took two of my guinea pigs in to see them one for a neutering and one to check on a skin condition and both were treated with as much love as they receive at home with me. Although my male did not survive his surgery(which is extremely risky on any animal as small as a guinea pig) they still continued to show their compassion towards him by not only helping me take his carrier and things to my car but they were all genuinely upset over the loss of my boy despite only having met him once a week prior to his surgery. I highly recommend them for all animals big and small.
Took my dog here for the first time and it was a great experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My first impression was the office is very clean and organized despite the location they are in. Secondly, the wait was very short. Thirdly, I did not fill out any paper work at all. They use a very good EMR system and I was very impressed by it. I work in a doctors office and use EMR systems everyday and this office really put theirs to use to the max. Dr. Thomas and the vet tech was very nice and gentle to my dog. I have taken her to the VCA and she shakes severely every time. But here, she did so well they complimented how well behaved she was. I also like the fact that Dr. Thomas explains what the problem is and what the prognosis is. Then, he gives you a layout of all the treatment options and put them in order from priority first. The tech then comes in and gives you a list of the treatment plans and the prices (again, on their awesome EMR system) and then you just basically pick and choose what you want done. I didnt like the VCA because the vet there ALWAYS try to persuade or convince me to do a million things that are so pricy and unnecessary. Dr. Thomas gave me a rough estimate for a procedure but unfortunately my dog ended up needing more things done. The price ended up being higher than what he expected but he was kind enough to give me a discount to make it more reasonable. Now, most people may think its a scam or theyre trying to appear as if they are giving a discount but working in the medical field myself, I know what its like to run an office and the expenses. So, I appreciated the discount. I did spend quite a big chunk of money but then again, I adopted my dog recently and she was not properly taken cared of as far as her health. It was expected that I would have to spend a lot to get her on track. So far, my dog is doing fantastic and I am very satisfied and happy with the care. They called the next day to check on her progress and have her scheduled for a follow up as well. And…...their hours are great!! I work two jobs, 6 days a week and dont have to take any time off from work to get her seen.
You guys exceed in customer satisfaction and even more in pet satisfaction. Despite being for my poor kittens broken leg you guys clearly displayed how upset you were when he was in pain during the X-ray, and I can clearly see the care put in to other patients here as well. Keep it up ❤️
I had been using Banfield - due to the fact that almost 4 years ago, my dog started suffering from what seemed like allergies. For the entire (almost 4 years) time, they would prescribe steroids to help resolve -- for a short period of time -- then right back again, the steroids in addition to 2 Zyrtec a day for the entire time. Didnt help him, just made him sleep and lay -- and still seemed uncomfortable most of the time. In addition to an odor on him and my home. But this is our dog and we love him.Well, I called Banfield a week ago, as Buddy was having a flare up, and knowing me for almost 4 years, I would have thought I would have been taken right away - well I was given an appointment the next day (this was 6:00 pm at night) and I knew that something more serious was wrong, both his eyes looked infected and he was scratching like crazy. ,. At that point, I googled emergency vet and found Caring Hands. The doctor spent more than adequate time with me, the nurses and other staff members were more than accommodating and I will never go anywhere else again. Might I add, that they took me in - that night and today (6 days later) Buddy is better than he has been in 4 years. He is laying comfortably, not tearing his face up, playing and more active than he has been in so long. I was starting to feel as if I was doing an inhumane thing by medicating my pup every single day and not getting any results. Well today, with tears of joy in my eyes, I could not be happier with Caring Hands. Thank You from the bottom of me and my familys hearts.
My dog Maggie and I love our vet. The place is spotless clean when you go there. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgable and they take the time to get to know you and your pet. I was very surprised the 2nd time I took my dog there for a visit they knew my name and her name and I didnt feel like we were just someone in their database. Bring your pet to this vet and you will not be disappointed
Absolutely awesome!!! They added my pet to the schedule when the Vet we have been seeing could not. They were so nice, the office was clean and Dr Thomas was great with our cat and very thorough...we will definitely be taking our pet back....hopefully not too soon...2 thumbs up!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Dr.Thomas is amazing with our furbabies. He takes his time and always makes sure to answer any questions we have. He is gentle with our lil loves and patient. He shows how much he cares not just for each of our individual furry family members but also for us. Couldnt ask for a better doctor.
Their name, literally, says it all. My relationship with them began a few years ago when my Belgian Malinois needed bladder surgery. Their price was extremely reasonable opposed to the emergency vet that did the initial diagnosis. Since, my son brings his four Belgians. Now I bring my pitbull terrible Rufus and my second adopted pit Cali. I can not say enough about the staff or Dr. Thomas.Ps I drive from SW Philly to the great NE just to see this Vet. Worth it!!!!
Caring Hands is like no other vet Ive seen in my days. They personally care for their patients and call to check up on them after procedures. My orange tabby Giroux had a lot of urinary issues, and they were happy to help when he was blocked. Giroux doesnt mind being there either! Hell want pets from everyone and be content. I trust C.H. with Giroux. That means a lot.
Dr. Thomas and associates including the people who work there have been so good to us and our pets. The girls and the guys are Very compassionate very knowledgeable and very flexible with times I would recommend caring hands clinic to anyone that wants their pets being treated by the best and last but not least they have very good prices and never have any shocking hidden prices were cost they tell you upfront
The name of this practice says it all. The staff and the doctor are nothing but caring for their patients. It is well organized and clean not like most vet places. The doctor never pushes you to pay for something you dont really need. He takes the time to go over everything with you and answer all of your questions accordinally. As soon as i walk in with my pet, they audiomatically know who bella is as if we were there every day. They take the time to know your animals
I GIVE CARING HANDS A LOT OF BUSINESS. Just completed an operation on his leg. I needed tic and HEARTGUARD for my Bichon. Ordered from 1800 pet meds. They said I needed to get a heart worm test before they could get it. Took him over to c. Hands. Vet for test ( 55.00 ). I ask them to please fax the Rx to 800 pet meds! They said we don’t fax Rx to anybody!!! So I said please mail it then . They said we don’t mail either! But I can come to pick it up. SO I WILL PICK IT UP AND MAIL IT TO PET MEDS. ( 12 pack @ $39.93 ). Caring hands wanted $90.00 for a 12 pack. I WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW VET . In all my dealings with vet’s, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS WAY !!! “ GOODBYE TO SO CALLED CARING HANDS “ 6.1.19
Every single person I either came in contact with or overheard while visiting, exhibited that the name of their business is not just a name but each persons true character. Thank you Caring Hands Veterinary Clinic for your prompt and professional service during our Malteses emergency surgery.
Not low cost as advertised. Took dog in for diarrhea. Dr. King performed routine exam and fecal tests. Recommended chicken/ rice diet & probiotics + got ?3 days of Flagyl. Tried to sell other products. Dr King did make follow up calls but seemed inexperienced. For $190 could have gone to my old vet.
This is suppose to be a low cost vet. NO WAY!!!! I was charged for a exam on June 3rd today the 7th went for suture removal which I was told would be no charge just walk in. 43.00 later. I will never bring a animal back there.!!!!!! False advertising low cost care!!!!!

2022-04-25Very caring and takes time to answer any questions you may have. They diagnosed a kidney problem when she was 2 years old and the medication they prescribed works like a charm as well as the special kidney food. Very very happy and recommend them to everyone.

2022-04-11Our 2 Male Keeshonds were neutered, a 2 yo and a 1 yo. Both are doing well (95% and 70%) respectively after 3 full rest days. Although the younger one didnt want to walk for 2 days, the incision sites seem minimally invasive. The girls at the front desk were welcoming and caring. Prepare for 1-2 days off work to make sure your guys or girls dont get too curious or take their cone off.

2022-03-25I literally just called to ask the price of a basic cleaning. The person who answered the phone advised that they couldnt give a price without seeing my cat. Id informed I currently used a mobile vet whod recommended this clinic, per location, because of difficulty travelling and would be inconvenient to just bring in animal for pricing. Any range they could give for the cleaning would help me prepare. Was put on hold and then told that a technician said the pricing would start at $5000. I told her that couldnt be right, $5000 for a basic cleaning was the starting range? The worker then advised that shed probably included fees for pulling teeth, etc. I again reiterated that I just needed the beginning starting range, but then thought better of it, said thank you and hung up. If my first experience with calling was this difficult, and lacked any concern or care, I can imagine how poorly any subsequent service would be. Ill take my dollars elsewhere.

2022-06-11I love this veterinary clinic. The office is clean. The people that work there are very nice the Doctor is amazing & the prices are very reasonable. They take care of both my dogs like their own. I will not go anywhere else ever!*UpdateIm still bringing my fur baby to caring hands & still very pleased. When it came time to put my big guy down the whole clinic was so warm & caring. They took very good care of my Ty & after he was gone I received a call the next day just to check up on me. I also received a beautiful sympathy card in the mail. Everyone from Dr. Thomas to the techs down to the girls at the front desk is all so amazing!
