I visited my friend today. The 1st time she was at this facility. This also was the 1st time I was at this facility. The staff are so nice. Her Occupational Therapist & Physical Therapist came while I was their. They are so nice & good Therapist. This lady came in & asked my friend what song would she like to hear. Played it on the little laptop & she was able to also watch the artist sing. It was so nice. I also enjoyed it. Then the Vocal Therapist came in. This place is very attentive & care about there patients.
They are truly a caring heart. My mother can be difficult and they have been very patient with her in meeting her needs. One nurse in particular put a smile on my mother’s face. She told my mom she can call on her at any time during her shift. I have to give a big shout out to the Therapy Team that works with my mom. My mom was not even standing up when she came here they her to stand and take a few steps to the wheelchair to sit down. And know before long she will be walking again. Thanks so much
I cannot be more grateful for what Caring Heart has done for our Mom. They nurses her back to health in the most loving and nurturing environment. All the staff were responsive to our needs and we’re always available to us.The nurses go above and beyond, they treated my mom like she was family. The front desk always greeted us with a smile and was very helpful. They have great doctors who are constantly in touch with us about care.My mom received a private room during her stay - that is not the norm for most other facilities. The therapy gym is MAGNIFICENT and therapist are just the nicest. You can reach out to me privately and Caring Heart can share my contact information.
I want to share my experience with Caring Heart. Every time I come in I am greeted with a smile. The front desk staff are very helpful all the time.Physical Therapy is the best! They took care of me and encouraged me to get better.I liked the activities and they took my suggestions seriously. My social worker helped me a ton with discharging and got me the home care I needed. They se me up for success and even arranged for my medication to be delivered. They were always available when I needed them and made the effort to have my husband involved in my care.I loved my private room - it was clean and looked new! The hospital told me that this place has private rooms and they were right.Nursing was 5* as well. They got me all healed and was as good as new.I rate this place as 5 stars.
Nursing staff is caring, passionate & friendly, nice & clean facility & people & residence talk to you regularly, staff concerns are great as well as spacious floor plan for mobility, staff addressed all of my concerns, again I say very clean towels, bed linens, wash clothes & hospital gowns, God Bless all the staff & PT Workers as well as Dieticians, Housekeepers too, I Maurice couldnt ask for a better experience (live in) God Bless everyone here, thank God for caring individuals.Maurice T. Alexander
I have now had three encounters with the staff at this facility and each time has been more upsetting than the last. This establishment prides itself on customer service yet then you call to speak with a nursing staff your call is directed to every department except the one you wish to speak. The customer service personnel (Tim to be exact) are rude and often disconnect the calls when they do not want to listen to your request. How could one ever feel comfortable with their family and/or friend(s) being transferred to this facility, if the front line staff are rude? This is disheartening and needs to be addressed. I have first hand knowledge that patients are being ignored and neglected. My dear friend was transferred to this facility due to a leg injury. He asked about receiving his medication for pain management and was ignored for hours. He had leg dressings that remained bloodied and soiled, which had not been changed in more than 7 hours. This facilitys staff and service does not measure up to the name on the moniker. No one should EVER feel comfortable leaving their family and/or friend(s) in this facility.
The front lobby personnel were courteous but the staff member handling visitors was rude & abrupt (first visit, Sept 2021)Upon my third visit there I was treated as politely as was possible. All of the staff I encountered could not have more helpful if they tried. I feel so much better about my sister being there
Caring Hearts Rehab and Nursing Home is a very nice place to send loved ones to. However, I have a problem with the actual wait time for visitation. If I have to make an appointment for my visit, I expect the person I came to see to be ready for my visit, not have to wait 30 - 45 minutes before I get to see them. Staff members are very pleasant and caring, and the facility is very clean and patients well cared for but the wait time really sucks.
I had to place my grandmother here right before the Covid pandemic. While it was rough not seeing her until recently the staff at Caring Heart have been wonderful to her and very polite, friendly, and professional with me at every step. She loves the facility and says everyone treats her very well. Also raves about their food. The staff in my opinion is wonderful here and while placing someone in these places is never an ideal situation I can say that Caring Heart was a great choice.
I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. The staff is unprofessional and difficult to communicate with. My family member was in their care briefly and left the facility in worse condition then when they arrived. They refused to answer simple questions regarding food and medication. It was an overall horrible experience.
This is a great rehab! The staff actually cares and want the resident to be happy! The room was clean and the food was very good. I was very happy with the rehab therapy at Caring Heart during my recent stay. Because of covid they couldnt allow any visitors but my family was able to drop off clothing and food so they were able to be as helpful as possible!
The word GHETTO has many references, meanings, adjectives, it is one of the few words in the English language that can be utilized as both a noun and a verb. Namely staff and the broad generalization can be divided into the academics and the non academic, the lay people and the professional people. And it was enough to leave one with a negative impression. These types of facilities are big business now and such is demonstrated here in what key things I saw and heard. And there is truth to the statement it’s certain facilities owned/ operated by certain people, who themselves would Not put their loved ones here. Think about that.;)
I had a family member here not long ago. There were multiple issues and we got no help from the nursing director or administrator. We then spoke to some corporate person, Ann-Marie. What a train wreck that was. She was very mean and nasty, made it seem like issues were our fault, talked down to us like she was better than we were and did nothing to solve the issues we were dealing with. I guess if a facility has poor leadership from corporate, this is what happens. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
This place is horrid. Worst place ever to work. RDO Ann-Marie Boyne treats everyone like garbage. She is not a leader. She acts like a dictator and treats staff like they are all beneath her. She is arrogant, rude, and demeaning to staff. She’s even mean to the residents. There are better nursing homes to work at.
My loved one recently stayed here for a few weeks. I have only good things to say about the place, and this is not the first nursing home Ive visited or had a loved one stay. The staff are very caring (true to their name) and really try and make the residents comfortable. Therapy did a great job in helping to rehabilitate. Although I never tasted the food I was always told that it was pretty good. While we hope to never have to come back to a nursing home, if we did we would choose Caring Heart. Thank You
FYI they do not deserve one star!!!! My mother was treated horrible! They refused to give her pain medication timely and when doing so would get smart and have an attitude. They would leave her sitting in waste and changed her when they were ready to do so. The nurses would grab my mother leg that was in pain and handle her rough. I could go on and on but I will let the dept of health handle this matter since the administrators chose not want to after it was brought to their attention. My mother requested to be discharged due to the way they treated her. A temporary stay for my mother to do therapy and this is how she gets treated?
Only good things to say about this place. The nurses and aides are very nice and always eager to help. Private rooms are very nice to have and the food is pretty decent also. The administration is also very involved and if theres ever an issue they are quick to help resolve it. I hope my spouse doesnt ever have to go back to a rehab but if he does i would choose Caring Heart.
My father recently stayed here and I cant say good enough things about this place. During COVID, visitors are restricted however we knew that going in and we understood why they have to do it so we were ok with it. My father who can be critical of things that arent perfect was very happy with his care, all the way from the rehab (which is the primary reason he choose Caring Heart) to the food with everything in between especially the wonderful CNAs who cared for him. I would also personally like to thank Hal the administrator who always returned phone calls promptly and went above and beyond to make myself and my siblings feel secure that our Dad was in good hands even when we couldnt visit.
I would just like to thank the staff for being very kind and serviceable to me. The staff on the 3rd floor are very compassionate and they provide to the utmost for their patients. Therapy was very good and patient and worked very closely with me daily. The chef was dynamite, just yesterday they had a delicious fresh pasta salad. They come by every day and you have a chance to make a choice of your menu and they fulfill it to the best.
Care for my husband was great. Staff was pleasant, helpful often went above & beyond to accommodate us. The concierge and Asst. Administrator were extremely helpful and followed up on all my concerns in a timely manor. The nursing and rehabilitation staff were very knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely care about my husbands recovery.
This place doesn’t want people visiting the patients here. You have to call ahead to visit, but 90% of the time you get a voice mailbox, that assuming it isn’t full already, leaving a message in does nothing. So you have to call back repeatedly over the course of a day, hoping that you MIGHT actually get an a human that you can make an appointment with.Visiting hours are basically useless to anyone who has to work for a living. Despite what the web site says, visiting hours end at 3pm!The cherry on top of this cake, is that they won’t even let you visit on consecutive days.
My brother has been a patient at Caring Heart for many years. I have nothing but POSITIVE things to say about this facility. The nursing care is wonderful. The staff is tender, patient and sweet with the patients. I have observed over these many years, at all hours of visits, and the care and cleanliness and staff have been excellent. The administration is attentive and helpful.
If negative zeroes were an option, I’d surely select it. Where does one begin? If you care at all about your loved ones and expect and demand exceptional service or even ordinary service, RUN in the opposite direction immediately. I’m honestly surprised their doors are still open. Where are the services/people who are supposed to be monitoring facilities such as these for neglect, abuse, fraud, indecency??? Seriously, not an option unless you’re actively trying to punish someone under the guise of “care”.
To whom this may concern,I am current currently writing this review on behalf of a relative that is residing at Caring Heart rehabilitation Center. Thank You ! for your excellent caregiving.I appreciate the fact that my love one is being well taken care of.The facility is always neat and clean and always smells fresh. I love the sanctuary where loved ones can go to pray. The staff has always been helpful neat and clean along with the residents everything is not going to always be great I know but. I’m convinced that at least they care. Please keep up the good work!! I’m praying for y’all everyday it’s hard to turn over your responsibilities to others but as a care giver for 25 years I wasn’t able to continue with my life Thank You! For bringing peace to me.Ramona Griffiths
In our search for a decent nursing home we have experienced many roadblocks, from lousy customer service to smelly rooms to food that I wouldnt give a rancid cat! Imagine my surprise with our mothers recent stay at Caring Heart! From the very clean rooms (This coming from someone with OCD who cant help but whip out a Clorox Wipe whenever Ive visited my mother in other facilities!) to the nice staff to the many amenities, I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. My only complaint is the fact that it is hard to contact staff; but once I finally get them they are very nice.Keep up the excellent work and best of luck to all that are admitted!!
If I could give this place negative Stars, I would. My mother went here for rehab after a stroke, in Aug 2020. After several weeks of me reaching out for updates on her progress and getting no feedback, I called Hal, the guy who runs the building. He started the conversation by saying, “I’m gonna keep this brief bc im walking out of the door for the w/e.”That was indicative of the kind of service you can expect for your loved ones. He evaded a firm answer regarding their policy for updates for short term care and told me they reach out quarterly for long term care.Once my mother was up and walking, my family & I decided to bring her home. They refused to release her despite me having POA. They made up a phony “investigation” and remained vague regarding any specifics.I stood outside the facility (due to Covid) for 6hrs and with 3 police officers and all of my proper paperwork. The police didn’t fell comfortable physically removing my mom, despite me having every legal right to bring her home. I filed a police report, I filed a complaint with PCA and I’ve reached out to my State Senator and begun legal action. No one called me on any days following to find out why I was upset, why things escalated, why there were complaints & police reports. My mother was rushed to the hospital 2 days later, as she was found unresponsive and no one from Caring Heart called fo notify me!The only person from this place who even pretended to ask was Resha (sp?) who is their liaison at Chestnut Hill Hospital & she never said sorry, she acted as if nothing was wrong and I was somehow the problem. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS FACILITY!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Administrator is more worried about posting on LinkedIn and TikTok then he is about running a facility. RDO Ann-Marie is rude and cruel to residents when she is there. When management is so terrible it’s no wonder the facility is so bad. I wouldn’t send a dog to this facility.
My Grandmother spent 3 weeks at this place. She told me and I quote I wouldnt send my DOG to caring Heart. Unfortunately because of the pandemic I couldnt visit. She called me nervous all the time. Dont send your loved ones here.Much of the staff was inconsiderate and roughBut I do want to say thank you to the yolo ladyWho was pleasant. (she couldnt remember her name)
Caring heart is a great rehab and care facility. The administration is very caring to the needs of the residents (short and long term). The nursing staff are very caring and knowledgeable. They are also making many improvements to the facility. I would recommend this facility to anyone either for rehab (which has a great staff) or long term residents.
The staff here is very caring, friendly and professional: this includes everyone from nurses to dietary to front door reception. Also, the facilities are clean and well mantained. The food is good and the baking outstanding. The residents r well taken care of and treated with respect.Excellent 👌👍✌️
The Concierge, Miss Deborah, is one of the hardest working people I ever met. She checks in on patients all the time and will answer any questions family members or the patient may have. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a good place to be when there is a need for physical rehabilitation!!
The staff is great. The attention given my Love One was great. But I had 1 issue.***Cold Food***If that issue is corrected, then it would rate over a 5 Star.Otherwise, its a great place for Rehab.I would recommend!!!I know I posted Connie Mackey,,,,, actually its Connie Mackey Robinson. My Love one has been here a week and a half,, and he has improved since getting rehab. The Nursing staff is Awesome!!!!Im glad we came here. I have peace knowing he is treated with Respect.Well we were discharged a week ago,,, but we had to return to get more therapy, because of his arthritis and he had a minor relapse. But the staff welcomed him back with loving arms.In fact they were more attentive than before. I thank God for the work that they do.Hopefully when this second visit is over,, it will have accomplished what didnt to be done to get him on his feet. The team on the 2nd floor mt airy side get my applause.its just nice to tell the staff they are appreciated. Debbie, the concierge, is always pleasant. The rehab staff is compassionate. It takes a Team to get things to move forward,, the patient,, family support and staff that love what they do.And the staff at Caring. Heart has done their part!!!!.We have been there 3 weeks, leaving the 2nd week of March. The experience has been great!!! Only 2 complaints---- That shows that nothing and no one is Perfect. I still give Caring Heart 5 Stars!!!.Its discharge day.Once again from Mr Robinson and myself, Thank you and may God Bless all of you Richly.!!!
Caring heart nursing facility did not give me the experience I was looking for with my mother. My mother was sleeping and the nurses aide comes in her room and rips the covers off my mother and starts going underneath her gown to change her without giving my mother any warning of what she was doing. The actions did not seem warm and caring. It felt like these aids just wanted to get a job done with out any compassion. I will Not recommend this place to anyone who wants their love ones to be cared for humanely. I wish I could say some kind words about the staff but everyone seems overworked and non-compassionate.Deeply disappointed
This is a beautiful facility located in the West Germantown/Mt. Airy section of the city. I have had several loved ones come to the facility for short-term rehab and each of their visits were a great experience. The staff is pleasant and attentive. The rehab department is top of the line and the interdisciplinary team works together to ensure your loved ones receive the best care. I routinely recommend this facility to others.
I have been a visitor nearly every day to see my daughter. June this year started my third year. There are many outstanding employees in all areas. Any concerns have always been addressed across the board. More laterFebruary 4th 2020. Kudos to staff who addressed washing machine issue yesterday on 4 Cliveden so my daughters clothes could be done this was 4PM.March 6. 2020There was a gathering of staff and people when I was going from the dining room to my daughters room who was in her wheel chair. What ever the problem. protocol was followed as conversation ceased until we were out of hearing range. I commend them all.
My aunt that is 68 years old was admitted in january for rehad. Never did we get an update or any type of feed back daily or weekly. Only time they called us was cause she fell. not only did she fall but also had other issues. she was brought home yesterday and she has a black eye and a busted nose like it is broke and a big scab on it. she has a bruise on her arm as well and scares on her knees. I dont trust them something happened to her in there and cause of the cancer and the stroke she cant talk. COUNT UR DAYS CARING HEART
I will not pass judgment on the Outlook of this facility at this time because I know that it is under reconstruction the chapel is beautiful and the first floor is already finished and it looks beautiful from that point but as you go upstairs to the 5th floor and see how it looks is not a very good site the rooms have nothing on the walls. Staff is very polite and helpful and although my brother Gilbert Lockhart has not received the bath since he got there Im sure this too will change.
This place is a mess. They have no clue what they are doing. Could not get straight answers about my aunt from anyone. Even spoke to some corporate lady Ann or Ann-Marie and she was just awful to deal with. Didn’t want to help us at all. There are better nursing homes in Philly!
Caring heart is a love filled place an have a friendly staff who is committed to there jobs and the residents . Helping them to get better in every day activities such as ADL and rehabilitation program that we have here at caring heart .And also the residents are will care for with respect and treated with respect l have seen a lot of residents get well and go back to every day Life through the help of the great staff member we have here at the nursing home .Our doors are always open here caring heart never refuse a PT are never turn down .You always fill welcome here then may be one day you run into l will welcome you too. Have a good week . I will look for you one day to come in visit to see for your self then you can decided. Thanks
I currently have my family member in there not sure if its some staffs but they are horrible with their attitudes when you ask questions or even ask for info on patient they come off nasty as if we are bothering them or making them do extra work calling the front tonget a hold of patients is horrible phone will ring constantly noone will pick up so we would have to wait hours to get threw to anyone I will be reporting them this week. Also they give patients meds with sink water.
I thought this place was actually good when my husband was first brought in from another facility, but then things took a turn for the worst. First of all the nurses are rude and have attitudes all the time. When my husband ask’ for his pain medication, they give him an attitude, he would ask for water or if he’s missing a drink that should come with his food, there’s an attitude. Secondly, they lied to my husband and said his medication was ordered and it never was. My husband had to personally call the pharmacy to investigate why his medication had not arrived. And when he provided this information to the “nurse manager” she gave him an attitude. They constantly told him it would be in the next day, the day would come and no medication for my husband had arrived. They left him without his antibiotics for 3 days knowing those antibiotics are what is keeping him from receiving another infection. The “so called” wound nurse went to changed my husband’s bandage and instead of having his arm in a resting position, she had him standing up causing him extreme pain. They clearly do not know what they are doing. Lastly, when my husband first arrived to this facility, they had ordered his medication for at least a month upon his arrival, when my husband requested some pain medication they told him he didn’t have anymore. He’s only been there less than a week and now he has no medication? How is that possible? It turns out these “so called nurses” had been giving my husbands pain medication to other patients cause they had ran out of they’re own medication. That’s against ALL HIPPA regulations and company policy but of course these “so called” RN’s and LPN’s do not care about they’re job nor they’re patients. Listen if your going to become an RN or LPN, make sure you love the job and or field, cause if you’re going to have an attitude, be disrespectful and not abide by company policy and HIPPA regulations, then I suggest looking for another occupation. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! And if they are being transferred from another facility please look into this place first...
I wouldnt give this facility a rate at all. My husband was admitted by the recommendation of the hospital for rehab on a Tuesday afternoon. When he was in the hospital his vitals were taken multiple times because of his illness and given oxygen when needed and was given his medication around the clock. This facility not once checked his vitals or gave him his oxygen, they just gave his medications on schedule. I complained on a Wednesday I was told everything will change. Well Thursday my husband complained again to me about how the nurses would come in and poke their heads, didnt say a word to my husband, didnt ask him if he was ok, needed anything nothing! The same Wednesday when I complained that was the first time they checked his vitals and that was the only time. They gave him ice water that same Wednesday and guess what when I went to pick him up on Thursday afternoon that same cup with the little water was left from Wednesday evening was still there. They never refreshed his water! He ask 3 nurses when his vitals/meds would be given and all 3 stated Oh I dont know let me check and never returned with an answer. I was told by the director it would change and it didnt.
Never use this facility. Was there almost a week with no shower or pain medication. They try to run the place like a prison. Food is never hot. Doctor doesnt see patients very often. The one bright spot is the aides, they are terrific, the rest of the place treats you like an animal.
Went there..Front desk Lady was in horrible spirits! Her welcoming wasnt Good Morning she looked at me, and said What are you here for? I replied with an Good morning thinking she will say it back...she didnt! No smile, no positive demeanor what so ever! Another worker came to the front desk only to talk about another coworker 🤦♀️ No type of Perffonsonliams at all. I I WAS FLOORED WITH THOSE TWO PEOPLE SMH!
Worst place ever. Staff knew my mother could not walk and continuously let her fall. Every time I would call to speak to her social worker she was unavailable they would have my mother sitting in the hallway. She was discharged and was not in her right staff of mind could not walk and they sent her home in a cab no one in my family was contacted. She was not getting her meds and more than 30 mins of her being home she had get rushed to the hospital and had bed sores! A very disgusting place .
Very disappointed in the service at this facility, many people who work here should NOT have accepted a job in healthcare. Being rude and neglecting someone who is in one of the most vulnerable positions they will ever be in during their lifetime is unacceptable. I doubt this center will last very long in this community because of their crude disregard of human decency and concern. Time to go back to the drawing board for senior leadership of this organization, I will be reporting this behavior.
I wouldnt even give this place one star!...but had to just to write a review. They should call it Uncaring Heart Rehab... My sister was sent here after a hospital stay, and they did absolutely nothing for her! All she did was use a bed which she couldve done in her own home. They did not give her the medications she needed and when they finally were able to find some meds (their words) they were the wrong ones. She consistently asked anyone (who she could find b/c she hardly saw any staff during her stay) where her meds were and she was constantly given the run around, was told theyd check on it and get back to her and noone would ever got back to her. Finally she had had enough and checked herself out. Wouldnt you know it when she did that, all of a sudden all kinds of staff appeared and so did her meds. They begged her to stay and not check herself out, afraid of the consequences, but she did anyway. Why would she stay if they werent doing anything for her in the first place?! This place is a JOKE!!!! They do nothing for their patients, all they do is take up space. If you love someone, dont send them there!!!!
This place is horrible. My 90 yr old grandmother was sent here after leaving hospital. They did not give her the required treatment during her weeks stay. Then she was released from nursing home with a clean bill of health but apparently there was no actual physical or tests done to prove she was healthy enough. The exact following day, she was rushed to ER for blood clots, water on her lungs and etc....all things that would have been found if CARING HEART actually did their job. Not to mention the drs wrote prescriptions for meds she didnt need and wouldnt write a prescription for what she did need. I wouldnt recommend this facility to ANYONE
I don’t even know where to begin. First I’d like to say that thanks to Rasha Odeh, my family was able to find the right fit. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. The staff are sweet and caring. There were a few times where I was unsure about my family members future but after talking to management, I was assured that they were in good hands. Thank you caring heart, you truly are caring.
So I was in an accident back in July 2020 and was hospitalized then once I was able too I went to Caring Heart where I met some of the best people in the world from the nurses CNA’s and the top bosses especially my Best Friend Freddy he came in checked on me and everyone else almost everyday I wanna shot out a few oh my crew that helped me out during my recovery Ms.Dawn Ms.Sylvia Stephanie Margarita oh and Ms.Ann she was always my neighbor lol when I came back from the hospital. They made my stay there the best I wish them all the best and continue to care and love those people as if they were your own cuz I know y’all all made me feel like family when I was there but I’ll be back to show y’all how my process is coming along thank y’all so much for everything
This my uncle second day here the staff was fighting with each other. The dinner is late arriving. They are short staff. My Uncle is being clean properly the head of of penis is close from being clean he is on a feeding tube and is not getting any fluids. He has bed sores.
DISGUSTING DISGUSTING DISGUSTING!!! My grandmother was there for a week and never got a bath. They lied about services that they provide just to try and get people to stay. When you need help it takes forever for someone to come to the room to help. Within 2 days of my grandmother being there she had 2 bed sores and smelled like she had been sitting in her own piss. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. THEY WILL NOT BE TAKIN CARE OF. THEY WILL BE NEGLECTED!
My ex husband was in here for 1 week.He has a spinal cord injury and can’t help himself. At Moss on Townshipline Road he was standing with help and taking small steps, feeding himself with some help with a Velcro spoon attach ment as his fingers don’t work right.Within 5 days he was screaming to get out of here. Two people were supposed to turn him in bed and basically until the last couple days it was one.He complained they were rough with him.He got two bed sores, malnutrition and dehydration. He has stage 3 kidney failure and got more damage from lack of fluids. They had him in diapers that were soiled. They tried to force him into taking eye drops that he didn’t need..I walked in and a nurse was screaming in his face because he wanted to call me and got one of the numbers wrong. It was so loud we heard it on the elevator coming up and almost died when I found out it was his room.Extremely unprofessional. They are hiring left and right and I don’t know who they hire.I think they better check out people better. We were not sure if he was eating or drinking so we brought him food and drinks boost ,milkshakes pasta. He had told us they were trying to rush him to eat and putting to much food in his mouth. He got a very small shake thing a coffee or tea sometime a juice but all small.Sometimes a cup of water but if you cant use your hands then you can drink it.My ex himself put in complaints to get out of there and thank God he did.He spent overnight at the new rehab and was rushed to the emergency room the next day.He had malnutrition, dehydration, two class two bed sore,a urinary tract infection and was totally out of it.Its scary when you trust someone’s life to a facility and they don’t take care of them. There was a wonderful nurse whose name I don’t know. She was there 22 years and worked 30 years all together I wish I New her name she called him Mr. John and she was wonderful to him.The others didn’t know he was basically paraplegic and I mean at least five people.Didnt know he couldn’t answer the phone or walk or feed himself yet they insisted they fed him.I talked to Nancy who nobody told me about until she called me.Trying to blame other hospitals for bedsores but they checked him out to make sure he was okay.Denied him pain meds on occasion because his legs and back spasm. No rails on bed.Had to fight for the right kind of wheelchair for his condition so they had to find one.Coming from Moss rehab who were wonder 5 star this place looks nice but is horrible for anybody really sick or can’t get around.Fighting with patients saying that he spit on her. This Guy can just about drink out of a straw. They lie and won’t tell you their names so you can’t make a complaint.Big bruise on hand.I am reporting this place so no one gets treated like this.Dont trust anyone. They said they tried to feed him .I know he ate some breakfast. If they knew he wasn’t eating like they said and obviously not getting fluids why were we not told or why wasn’t he given IV fluids and food or sent to a hospital.? Never said anything and I’m power of attorney. Please think a lot before you put someone here.Im talking second floor rehab short term.
I believe its going on two years my aunt has been in Caring Heart the employees are very nice everyone speaks and greet you when you come in especially at the front desk I like the way you sign in and out now is very easy and I love the atmosphere for the residents there and I believe my aunt enjoys her stay because she tells me a lot of things that goes on like bingo watching TV and all the different religions they have there for their residents thank you for taking care of my aunt and keep up the excellent work thank you

My sister-in-law has been here for two years since the very beginning of the COVID epidemic and she has been kept well. While Caring Heartt is not perfect, they have kept her safe, clean, medically stable and in good spirits. We are involved in her care, we visit on a weekly basis at a minimum, the staff listens to our concerns and they work with us to get it right. I am happy with her care and I work with the staff cooperatively so that we all have the best outcomes possible.

2022-04-12Please do not send your loved ones to this facility. They’re not equipped to care for anyone. I am disgusted with the staff from the doctors that you never see to the horrible worth ethic nurses. Everyone licenses should be stripped away. They’ll allow a patient to die before they seek medical treatment. The patients there are just a body for a check. This place needs to be shut down. & if you do send your loved ones check on them everyday and stay the entire visiting hours. The workers lack empathy and so much more. The state need to do their job and permanently close places like this and hold staff accountable for malpractice.

2022-05-06Well, my mother entered the fia yesterday in that place and I am planning to find another facility for her, they have not treated her badly physically. but it is very frustrating she cannot communicate with the nurses because my mother does not speak English and well last night she spent a night of great pain. and she asked a nurse for a pill at 11 last night and at 4 :30 in the morning she had not slept in pain and they never gave her her pill until I sent a message on her phone and then they were able to administer something to her. But I do not agree that there is no one to help her in communication.

2022-06-09I am not sure who is writing these good reviews but let me tell you the real deal. There are no bed rails for safety on the beds, no floor mats or bed alarms. This place has a bedbug infestation I know for a fact on 2 cliveden rooms 210 - 217 for sure. The residents are never bathed. This guy in 203 clivden is about 400 lbs and can’t move the nurses let him order fast food all day long. The staff is ghetto and mean. They have no linens food trays are left in residents rooms for days. Nurses are lazy they have an Asian male nurse on the 4th floor he is so rude and barely speaks English he is so rough with the residents that he made one cry. The resident had a speech problem but if he spoke slowly you could make out what he was saying and the Asian male nurse just ignored him and told me not to worry about the resident because the resident is “crazy”, they discharged a resident with no ride home and had her wait in the lobby for hours while they lied and. Said her ride was on the way. Knowing there was no ride and they joked amongst each other saying “why didn’t a family member come get the resident if they wanted to go home so bad” just take your family somewhere else I am surprised this place is still running they hire anyone from the ghetto, I saw a CNA who visibly has a opioid/heron addiction nodding off, and the place so understaffed that it is full of agency and don’t get me started on the agency workers

2022-07-21(Edit 07/12/2022: Jay the admin from Caring Heart reached out to me to address my concerns and he made sure that I had the medicine that I needed. He was empathetic and sincere, and that goes a long way with me.The issue is, I didnt know that Jay existed until today and while in the facility, my concerns seem to fall on deaf ears. That said, if you find yourself in Caring Heart, you have to be a strong self-advocate. I let things go that I should not have, and I wouldnt make that mistake again.Within reason, the staff is there to take care of you, so if you are unhappy with your care, and frontline staff is not addressing your concerns, take it to the higher ups, dont sit on it. Be mindful of what you are asking for, but be assertive.)Since my last review was erased, the physical and occupational therapists were great, they made sure that I had linens when no one else would and changed my bedding. They were kind and attentive and so were some techs and cnas.My intake was botched, my discharge was botched, and my doctor was careless and indifferent throughout. I am still trying to figure out how to get the anticoagulants I need to avoid blood clots, and I did not find out until days later that accessibility devices I ordered and paid for out of pocket at the behest of Caring Heart were out of stock when I was discharged. No one double-checked? Moreover, I was told I would have at home care as of Saturday, I havent heard a peep from anyone of the sort (they called today).I have been advised by my friends in healthcare to file a formal complaint, and I kept notes for that purpose.Truly shameless

2022-06-19Over the course of the week my family member has been here it has been one subpar experience after another. Calls are not answered for 15 or more minutes. No monitoring system in case of emergency and the desk is often uncovered. No attention is paid to dietary restrictions: everybody gets the same meal No matter what the menu says. Onions as a breakfast side?.

2022-03-16This place is GARBAGE!!!! I wouldnt send my dog to the dump! My brother was put here (( after going threw open heart surgery he needed to be put on a antibiotic plan )) they treated him like s*!t. The nurses would steal his belongings & make him feel crazy they were just NASTY & unprofessional. THEN... the CASE WORKER was supposed to find him a place to go (( TOLD US AND MY BROTHER THEY WOULDNT EVER JUST THROW HIM OUT ON THE STREET and they dumped him on the streets ON NORTH BROAD STREET with 3 bags. And MIND YOU HES NOW IN A WHEELCHAIR!!! This place is shameful and should be closed down! Disgusting also!!!
