I submitted my documents and was told they were sent in for processing. After 6 months of not getting email or phone responses, I was told that the documents had arrived and would be mailed to me. They have not arrived and I continue to receive no response from the company or Judi. The documents are now invalid because of a 6mo. validity period and I must restart the process- with another agency.
It was so quick and easy. I set up an appointment online and i got my documents notorized in 4 mins. She was honest as well. I didnt know which document needed a notary but she helped me out.

Judi was great!! Process was very smooth - it was to sign a bunch of papers for selling my house. I didnt know nearly as much as I should have, but Judi did and we were able to get the forms signed and sent back and closing went off without an issue. I needed a notary to sign my amended birth certificate and I called Judith’s office and she was quick and responsive. I came in an hour later and there was a person ahead of me, but within 5 minutes I’m seated and have my birth certificate notarized. I was looking to have my documents notarized and apostilled in Philadelphia on an urgent basis. I came across Center City on the internet and contacted Judith. She was fantastic! The next day she went to the office where the documents had to be notarized, had them apostilled in a matter of couple days and sent them back to me in Spain and they arrived the following day. I have worked with many companies to apostille documents in the past. My experience with Judith demonstrated how professional, efficient, and fairly priced her services are. She will be my go to contact for notarization and apostille of all documents in the US from now on. Very highly recommended.

I can not be more thankful for Mrs. Judis services. I needed 18 Documents notarized to get an APOSTILLE. I went to 3 different notaries in Philadelphia, and I even went to Harrisburg to get an APOSTILLE seal without success. I went to Mrs. Judi, and within 5 days, I had all of my documents notarized adequately with an apostille seal. I could not be more thankful, and I can not recommend her enough. A true professional
I told Ms Lawrence that I would write a review if my brother would guide me through the process. As it turns out, I was able to google it. So here goes...I would like to thank Ms Lawrence for being KNOWLEDGEABLE, efficient, professional, and having the integrity to not accept my money until the outcome would be of benefit to me. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that after following her advice and having my document updated, that I was able to take the document that was emailed to me, forward it to her email, and have her print it out. (A real time saver.) She is conveniently located within a block of City Hall, (which was a plus at my age). Id like to think that Im pretty perceptive, but even if youre not, Ms Lawrence has a presence that says I know what Im doing. Weve all met those people, and should appreciate them even more in this age of incompetence. When I googled her website I found that it was more of a resource. I cant say enough about this little know Gem in the heart of Philadelphia. Im going to explore Remote Notorization and if I can handle everything without going down town, its a done deal. Ms Lawrence will be the only Notary I need.
Hi - I needed a document notarized and apostilled to bring my dads remains back to Italy. My bank refused to notarize the document because it was a copy from the cremation place and I was told since there is not a space for the notary stamp, it didnt need to be notarized.Completely wrong information. Judith made a call to confirm that the copy can be notarized and did it without questioning me. She also saved me 6 to 8 weeks time by handling the apostille part of the document. I got my documents completed and returned to me in less than one week.Will definitely recommend and use her service again.

I went this afternoon to see Judith so I could get some nomination papers for a local elective position notarized. In the course of filling out the documents, she made an honest mistake with my name and address on the form (mainly the address on my ID was not my current one and another persons name from the form was used instead of my name as the candidate). Given that this was a petition with signatures gathered from the community, I could not just make a brand new one. Seeing how worried I was about getting my nomination rejected by the Election Board, she proceeded to correct the information on the form and she made color copies of my identification documents so that I could present that with my nomination. Judith also did not charge me a single cent. She said that she made the mistake and could not in good conscience charge me for it. She was an absolute professional about the whole thing, so she just earned a return customer and I hope that you all visit Center City Notary & Apostille for your notarization needs. And guess what, the City ended up accepting my nomination! Thanks again, Judith!
Sometimes getting documents signed by the right people in Harrisburg is very difficult. I tried on three separate occasions and failed each time. Center City Notary got it right the first time! I wish I saved myself the aggravation and visited them first. Thanks to Judi Lawrence and Center City Notary.
First off, I’m not a negative review kinda guy. We needed a deed package signed (time sensitive), and Center City notary agreed to come to our house at a certain time. No call, no show. After calling and sending sending numerous texts an hour after the agreed upon time, I got a confusing text that made it seem like they thought I was the dentist. If you have a time sensitive document that needs signed, I might try another notary.
Judi Lawrence is the ultimate professional and so generous with her time and experience. We have collaborated on several occasions to expedite Apostilles in Florida and always manage to get the job done and done right!

Extremely disappointed with my experience. I reached out on a Saturday to see if I could get papers notarized that weekend. I received a quick response that Sunday I could stop by, so I was excited and appreciative of the responsiveness. However when I showed up Sunday, no one was there and when I called I was told she “would be there in 5 minutes.” When 10 minutes and other people waiting went by, another person called and was told that the notary was outside a few blocks away and was not coming to the office and “would only be outside for 10 more minutes”. Confused at the different messages, we walked to meet the notary. Once I arrived, she did not have her notary paperwork needed and could not assist me. Extremely confused at this process and do not recommend for weekend notarization.
She was so sweet and made sure I got my papers taken care of. When I couldn’t pay electronically, she did not try to embarrass or shame and encouraged me to pay it forward. Her office is beautiful, clean, and safe (during the pandemic). I will absolutely visit again.

I normally don’t write reviews but Judith at center city notary deserves one. Amazing notary service that really takes care of all ur unplanned issues. Me and my husband were doing an out of town closing for our home there were a lot of road blocks during our process. Ms. Judith helped out of her way and did such a tremendous job in getting our closure done. She stayed back after hours just so we could have our documents sent on time. She’s amazing, very helpful and just gets it right! Highly recommend!! 5 stars!
What happened? We had a 8:30am appointment. No one was there. We called and texted. You texted back and said youd respond in a few minutes and then we never heard from you. We waited 35 minutes outside your office. Then went to UPS store and had docs notarized immediately.
I walked in yesterday and had my Will notarized. Judy and staff were so welcoming, efficient and professional. I recommend them highly. My paperwork was done without fanfare and this place will be my go to Notary whenever needed. The best!!!
No one seemed to be around, open or available for notary services except this GODSEND of a woman! I gave her a call to ask if she was to do some pre-wedding paperwork. This was 6:15, They close 6:30 and maybe even earlier since COVID. However, the one thing that struck me is she asked what I needed notarized. I explained that we needed some pre-wedding documents signed otherwise we could not get married the next day. To my surprise and gratitude, she said that although she wasnt open, she would have to do this for us so we could at least have the wedding date we wanted since we couldnt have an actual wedding. I could not express how grateful I am to her. She was the super sweet and I could not be more appreciative !
I have never written a bad online review but am compelled to do so now. I hired this “ service provider“ to assist me during the pandemic to get my client’s Will executed. The was zero interest in providing the service promised. My client, witness and myself waited online twice in 1 day with very little communication and no success. It was embarrassing and highly unprofessional.

I had complicated real estate closing documents that I needed to have reviewed and notarized so I didnt have to attend the closing in person - which would have been a six hour drive each way. I was desperate to get a power of attorney notarized last minute today, a Saturday morning. Couldnt find anyone. Normally, Center City Notary is open on Saturdays til noon, but this particular day were closed as Judith was traveling on business. She so kindly agreed to meet me at her home before she hopped in a car to take her to the airport. Took 5 minutes, was so unbelievably nice and accommodating. I couldnt recommend more highly. Judith has helped me with two rounds of real estate closing paperwork, the latest being during COVID-19 with a need for a very short turnaround. When my bank, UPS, and all the other notary services werent able to help either due to the paperwork involving a PoA, Deed, or just not being available... Center City Notary was there. Judith and her staff are lifesavers! I was donating my car, and had a pickup window from 9-11 am on a Monday. I somehow missed the fact that I needed to have the title notarized! I called at about 8:20 am, after striking out at the bank (dont do car titles) and with two mobile notaries (busy). Judith answered the phone immediately, and was already in the office. I was able to drive straight there, and still be home in time for my pickup window! The whole process was very quick and pleasant, and the fee was incredibly reasonable. I couldnt provide a higher recommendation!

Been trying to get documents that were sent to her over 3 months ago. Driving with a expired temp tag. No effort made to contact me so I can get the work done else where. When I try to call she is always busy and will call back but has yet to call back. If you try to text you will get ignored. Will be reporting to BBB.

Unprofessional and unreliable. Judith was supposed to be at my house at 11 am. She called to say she was running late and would arrive at 11:30. Then she had to wait for an associate. 2 hours later no Judith. Never called and never showed up. Typical Philadelphia.

BS REVIEWS & SCAM. Worst possible experience utilizing this place for Apostille services. I was told it would be “done within a week,” yet a month later I still do not have it and am now being actively ignored despite the time-sensitivity of my document. When I do manage to get in touch (through different numbers), I am told just another day or “I’ll send it to you…”. I believed it the first 4 times because I wanted to, but then realized I was being taken for a ride after a month+ had passed.I am now calling the credit card company to dispute the charge and will be reporting this business to the FTC for blatant fraud. Because of the incompetence of Center City Notary, I need to redo the entire process with someone else and may potentially miss a critical deadline which I was assured would not be an issue from the start.WARNING: Do NOT use this service for anything more than a simple Notary, which can be observed on the spot. Once you leave the sight of your document, its good as gone. The first simple task I did with CC Notary went ok, but also helped me understand the countless positive reviews... which was requested following my initial visit for a discount. If you look up reviews on other sites, you will find this disappearing act is a common situation with this place. Also, note that the prices quoted over the phone are not even correct…add 25-50% to the quoted price and that is what you will be charged when you show up in person.So poorly run.
We had a great experience with Judith. Everything went quickly and was accurately done. Very professional and conveniently located. And having a US Post Office in the same building was an added convenience.
Very responsive. She does house calls. We have needed last minute things notarized and within an hour, Judy has dropped everything and come to our home - early in the morning before the kids went to school, or late at night before the 30th St post office closed. When I arrived at her office to have my documents notarized, I discovered that I had left my driver’s license at the FedEx store on 20th and Market (Center City Notary is on South Broad Street) and this meant returning to 20th Street I’m traffic that was horrendous. Despite being closed for the evening, she kindly stated that she would wait for me to return (It was urgent that my documents be notarized this evening).Taking Lyft back to her office, I arrived at 7:40pm, well past closing time. Judith is possibly the best person in all of Philadelphia. I ran into transportation issues with SEPTA (no surprise there) and she waited well over an hour for me to get back into the city to notarize something for me.
Desperately needed a Notary at late hour. Found Center City Notary and Ms Lawrence delayed her departure for the evening, helped us complete the documents, got Al to be a witness, sent me down to hold Fed-Ex, and didnt sweat immediate payment since I didnt have my credit card. Nice lady and very thorough.

Just left. The loud woman inside asked me to wait outside for three minutes. That wasn’t the problem. The problem was when I waited outside all I heard was her loudly squawking about someone at some party she is jealous of. Why are you keeping your customers waiting just to lament and gossip about someone like you’re in Jr. High? Will never go back. So unprofessional.

Apostille who??? What the heck is an apostille and why do I need it?? Well, no one, not even my attorney knew what it was... except Judi Lawrence from Center City Notary knew... Not only did she know what it was, but she also knew how to get it in multiple states and countries . Thank God for Judi or I wouldve been totally lost. This place used to be great but now she hired an employee she hasn’t trained. We had to tell her that we needed to sign the title. Every employer needs to train their employees before assigning them to customers.

Notaries were rude, and I went there twice to try to get a title transfer done, but they could not complete it. Went to AAA and they knew what to do immediately.

2022-04-18Extremely unprofessional. I needed a quick turnaround to get a deed package notarized, so I contacted Center City Notary on a Tuesday and booked an appointment for that Friday at 3:00. The Friday of my appointment was Good Friday, so I made sure to confirm with Center City Notary that their office was still open and taking appointments, and they assured me they would be open and our appointment was confirmed. I made it clear that I needed to have a deed package notarized. I arrived just before 3:00 on Friday to find the Center City Notary office door closed and locked. I knocked and received no answer, so I gave the business number a call. Judi answered and said the office was closed that day and they weren’t taking appointments, despite my appointment being confirmed a few days prior. Judi then said I could meet her at her apartment at 4:30 and we could notarize everything then and there. I arrived at Judi’s apartment building at 4:30, and when I tried calling her number I received no answer, and eventually her phone was shut off. I asked the front desk if they were able to contact her, and they managed to get in touch with her and relayed the message that she would be there in 10 minutes. Judi did not arrive until 5:00pm. At which point she offered no apology, and after quickly glancing at the deed package she told me she couldn’t notarize this now because it would take 30 minutes and she was leaving for a dinner party in 10 minutes. Had Judi arrived at the time she agreed to, this would not have been an issue. I had given up my afternoon to ultimately be redirected around the city and blown off without my deed package getting notarized. As mentioned, Judi never gave any consideration nor apology to address the lack of professionalism and accountability she and her office displayed.

2022-06-28Judi was excellent. We had a complex matter we needed to take care of right away. On her vacation, she spoke to us twice and arranged an appointment for us the day after she got back. She spent more than an hour assisting us with getting the necessary documents needed for apostille.

2022-06-21Diane at Center City Notary saved my day! I had an important document that I needed notarized and mailed, and I only had half an hour after work to get everything done. Diane was calm and helped me through the process, even though I came in 15 minutes before closing. I got the document notarized and in the mail just in time. I would definitely recommend Center City Notary & Apostille Co. to a family member or friend.

2022-02-22CC Notary is the best in Philadelphia! Judi and her staff are excellent Notary’s as well as friendly and exceptionally helpful. I recently had a stack of documents notarized by them and when I submitted the docs and was told that I signed incorrectly (didn’t sign my middle name to match the docs) I went back about 2 hours later to have the update documents notarized again… and Judi re-notarized the entire stack of documents for me free of charge!!!It was a frustrating day made so much easier thanks to her and her team!

2022-06-21Hello I would like to let the public know that this notary Judy Lawrence has lost my birth certificate and to this day she has never given me a response on where is my birth certificate I have no idea where it is how she lost it or who has it. I would never ever trust this individual with any type of service. to this day she has never given me a response on what happened to my legal document I have no idea who has my legal document and shes never returned my phone calls avoids me as much as possible doesnt give me a proper response so if youre looking for a professional notary it is not Judy Lawrence

2022-04-28Terrible service! Find somewhere else to go!!! Gave her my document and she never returned my calls, emails or texts. She actually still has my document and refuses to contact me. I used an online service with another copy I had and no issues at all! Very unprofessional and very disappointing!I would like to update what was responded to me on my post Why did you tell me no problem, I can get this done before you go on your trip? Then you cannot. At this point I still had no issue because we did ask with only 1 weeks notice. But even before, during and after the trip I called emailed and texted you. NO RESPONSE! I still wanted your service and all heard... crickets. That is why I posted the review. Seems this is the only way to get a response! Can you explain why multiple email, phone calls and texts were ignored? Oh and I never said anything about holding the documents for me. Where is this coming from... It would be nice to get my document back so at least there is one good part of posting this review.

2022-04-28Run down place. When I arrived (in a rush) no other customers were there. There as some bad show playing loudly. The only acknowledgment I got when is said good afternoon was a woman holding up a finger at me. I then had to wait while she was doing something on her cell phone. After she finally acknowledged me she decided my state id was too much trouble and I had to show her another one.Apparently no scanning or other devices.Id rather go to UPS store any day
