We had a 10 year old husky that had a inoperable tumor on her back side. We we giving her pills buy it just kept getting worse every day to the point were she was starting to be in pain and it was time to take her out of her misery. Our vet because of covid19 said only one person could come in the office while she was being put to sleep. Dr.Gal let us in to be with her and say our good byes. Great staff . so real and thought ful of our situation making a real sad time a lot easier for us. If we ever get another dog Dr.Gal will be our new vet.
My old hound was cared for by Dr. Gal the last 7 of his 16 years. Unlike his previous vet Pogo was never hesitant to come to Chester Pike Animal Hospital. His care was kind and compassionate to the very end when it was time to let go of my dear old friend. The staff was unfailing polite and helpful, and the one or two times there was an emergency we were fit into the schedule when needed. The charges were reasonable, and the doctor was also good explaining different treatment options and their relative cost/benefit. I recommend this practice most highly, and Ill be returning soon with a new canine companion.
As of at least 2018 this place is worthless. Started seeing Dr Gal in 2004 and he was great with the animals. More recently he is never in the office and offers little in the way of services. His staff will return your calls approximately 12 hours after you make one and all the they will do is refer you to somewhere in Philly. If you need quality vet care go to Glencroft or Glenolden Veterinary Hospital. Avoid this place as they just wont really do anything for you anymore.

I have a dog with a ton of health issues. This is my 4th vet between my two dogs and I will never go anywhere else. They are compassionate, always willing to help when its an emergency, and never force me to break the bank. Ive been to places where Im given a thousand dollar bill and told to chose what I want to do to find out what is wrong with him. I have never had that experience here. They always listen, trust the owners instinct, and work with you. Even if I move I will travel to keep this as my local vet.
My dog had a very bad tumor on her chest. I was fearing euthanasia whats the only option, but the doctor saved her life.
I had an emergency with my older cat & could not get in any where. They took my cat in that day. Dr. Gol was.so caring, professional & accommodating. I would highly recommend.
I love this place. The staff is friendly and Dr. Gal is wonderful. He works with other local vets if needed to provide the best diagnosis for the animals. He is very understanding about the love we have for our animals and the budgets we have to treat them. He provides multiple options for the best care of the animal.

Dr. Gal is a great vet and he really cares for animals. It doesnt feel like a business like Glenolden Animal Hospital does and prices are reasonable. Dr. Gal has been taking care of my familys dogs and cats since I was a kid and now Im a mom of 2 with a dog of my own.

We drive from Delaware because no other vet compares. Dr. Gal is very straight forward and I appreciate that in a doctor. Fair prices and the staff is very compassionate.Take your pet here. They deserve the best.
I have been going to Chester Pike for a long time. All the techs are wonderful. Dr Gal is in my opinion a one of a kind vet. He goes above and beyond. I have a lot of pets. One dog and five cats. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Love them!
After leaving glencroft veterinarian hospital with my cat that was struggling to live she unfortunately died before I got to this hospital but I didnt know that when I walked in and they took my cat from me immediately and tried everything they could for 15 minutes and didnt charge me for the help that they did give me I appreciate everything they did for me, they offered services for burying her or cremated. But I chose to take her home they gave me something nice to wrap her up and thank you guys a bazillion!

I thought they were great! Seen within 5 minutes of my appointment, explained everything that they were doing, explained possible treatments and costs, friendly and outgoing, didnt try to push meds. It was a good experience and I will definitely take my pet their again.
I have taken my dog there for about 4 years now as he was a rescue who came to me with a ton of medical problems, I can honestly say that not has the doctor and his staff made us feel welcomed but really shown me that they care for my dogs wellbeing. They are fair in price (which as a college student means a lot) but always deliver on quality. If your considering CPAH after reviewing their website and seem unsure, I recommend going 100%.
The Dr and staff members are absolutely AMAZING the handled us with complete compassion and understanding. We had to put our 10 week old kitten down and they even took the utmost care and respect for her as well it was my 5yo daughter kitten and she wanted to be there with her baby and they allowed her alot if time with her after the process which was Soo sweet my daughter really needed that. They are so respectful and do everything they can to make u feel comfortable in your time of need!!!! Thank you again for helping us with our Blayze 💔. Rip

2022-06-17My cat was ill and senior and it broke my heart to have to let my baby go. But everyone on staff was extremely supportive, informative about the process and sensitive through this very tough time. I wanted to thank each of them for lovingly helping me to get through this and help my cat transition peacefully. They are a wonderful staff. Highly recommend.

2021-09-22This place is great. My husband found an abandoned kitten in a tire at his truck shop and I wanted to get her checked out ASAP. This is the only place of the 5 that I called that would take him the next day. They were very friendly and welcoming, and even gave me some extra kitten formula and a bottle and syringe to feed her with! I’ll be going back in a few weeks. Highly recommend!

2021-06-29Dr. Gal has been our primary veterinarian for 3 dogs now. His compassion and genuine love for our pets cannot be matched. He is gentle, thorough and explains everything to you. He takes the time to teach you and truly get to know you, your family and your pet. Dr. Gal without a doubt has your fur babys best interest in mind. 2021-02-28This is by far the best vet in the area. Everyone is super friendly, they do an excellent job. Alot of vets in my lifetime tend to shame you or make you feel bad about something when you bring your pet in. There was none of that here though. Just a great group of helpful, friendly, and smart people. They did a wonderful job with my old pup and the dental work he need. I will only be going here from now on. Highly recommend.

2021-01-20Dr. Andrei Gal an amazing, kind soul. I took a wounded ferral cat to him and he did an amazing job on the kittys care and healing. Excellent care, friendly service and pricing. I highly recommend Dr. Gals service. But most importantly he really cares about your pets health and care. His heart is in the right place and not focused on money but the well being of your pet. A trait hard to find these days. I would highly recommend him. I will be taking all my fur babies to him.

2020-06-15I rescued two kittens off the streets and Chester and theyre practically almost dead and I took them there and theyre doing amazing now that doctor that at Chester Pike Animal Hospital is a sweetheart and theres the pictures of the babies they are doing wonderfully

2021-07-09Dr. Gal was amazing. I called at 4:50pm today and was told he closes at 5. He said if I can get him there ASAP to come. I arrived at 4:55pm and walked out by 5:15! He helped my poor bichpoo who appeared to have broken his nail. I decided to switch to him as our regular veterinarian

2020-10-06Dr Gal cares more about the pets and pet owners than the money. They are an affordable option for pet owners. They are honest and caring. They dont overcharge nor make you do repeated exams and blood work to find out simple issues with your pet. Chester pike was recommended to me and I am so happy they were.
