Fantastic experience. Our A/C went down overnight due to some electrical issues. Came across Cold 1 Services and gave them a call. Ted was able to squeeze us into his schedule last minute on the same day. Came by immediately diagnosed the problem, made the repair, and everything back up and running.Great experience and would absolutely use him again in the future.
I almost never would leave a review but my experience was so A+ I felt I needed to and called the owner to tell him so. I called on Saturday morning and they showed up two hours later removed my unit from my attic ordered the part on Monday and had it completed by Wednesday that to me is super responsive extremely fair pricing can’t say enough good things about my experience. EXCELLENT Service!I’m not one for writing reviews. However, this one I must do. My heating furnace went on me last month which was very scary. I’m the type person that is skeptical of hiring someone whenever a problem arise in my home due to bad experiences. Thank God that this was NOT the case doing business with COLD1 Services! After researching and calling other companies, I decided to call my oil company of 12 years for advice. Without hesitation they advised me to give COLD1 a call. Believe me, I was a difficult costumer because of my fears but Ted and his crew always kept their cool, and professionalism at all times! If you are looking for an HVAC company that is honest with fair pricing, please don’t hesitate to hire them!I am more than satisfied with COLD1 Services, and my new energy efficient furnish. Would give zero starts if I could. Been waiting 8 months for them to replace an AC Unit. I have now called the owner 10 times without a return call. It has been over 2 months since they have made any communication
Cold 1 Services is one of the best in business! They have serviced my HVAC for several years and when my heater failed, they gave me a same-day appointment at a convenient time for me. Then, had a new heater installed the very next day. I can not say enough about how great the Cold 1 Services team is, especially Ted. Thank you so much for your hard work & great customer service!
Scammer. Take your time to read the 1 star review. They are there for a reason. Promised a timeslot from 12-2pm, showed up almost 3pm. Here we go, already a bad impression.If your warranty company assign this contractor, request another one. Waste of time and too much frustration. The technician did not touch 1 single thing in my HVAC and demanded money and gone. Claiming not covered by warranty. I spent another week to fight with warranty company because they failed to submit diagnosis report. Our family left in the cold. Truly irresponsible. Turned out another company come and take a look, properly diagnosed and fixed the issue.Save yourself time and money. Company like this should not be in business. Stay away.
Awful, terrible, liars! I have never written a review before but felt I needed to tell everyone who reads this about this terribly run company. I was assigned to this company through my home warranty company. The saga went on for 2 weeks and all I got from this company were lies about why they didnt show up for three different appointments. I waited for a total of 12 hours with no one ever showing up for the appointments they made with me. After the 3rd missed appointment, for which I canceled an important meeting after being guaranteed that someone would come out, I once again called them to find out what was going on. I was told by Gabrielle that no one was going to come out and I should call my warranty company and get a different company to come out. I dont know how a company could be run so poorly or how someone could lie over and over again without remorse. What a disgrace!
We had such a wonderful experience with this company. Our AC unit abruptly stopped working in the middle of the heat wave this past week. Ted Peters was so kind, professional and timely in fixing our unit. We are very grateful for such amazing service in a time when demand was obviously high! Highly recommend.
From beginning to end Cold 1 Services did a great job. Quickly having a technician come to diagnose the problem with the AC while working around our schedule was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I called six different companies and many didn’t call back and those that did could not come for weeks. Their technicians were prompt and professional. After receiving the quote, we had a second company come out to compare prices and Cold 1 was much more reasonable than the other HVAC company. Install of our new unit was quick. Many companies wanted us to hire a crane to have the unit placed on our roof (which would have added to the cost) but Cold 1 was able to bring it up our five flights of stairs to the roof and install in only a few hours. Happy to have our air conditioning back up and running and happy to have a reliable HVAC company saved in my phone if we ever need them again!
Weve been using Cold 1 Services for several years now. They are very responsive even on their busy super-hot or super-cold days. Our units are not easily accessible but the techs always manage to squeeze into crawl spaces or climb onto rooftops to get to where they need to be. Their prices are reasonable and when parts are not readily available, theyll go the extra mile (literally) to drive to supply houses to get what is needed. As owners of a duplex, we rely on Cold 1 to help us keep our tenants happy. We would highly recommend.
I use Cold1 services at home and at work! Very responsive when I call for service and the pricing is great compared to other contractors. The owner Teddy is a great guy who is very easy to work with and is always pleasant and professional! 7 years of my business so far and I plan to use them for many more. Thanks for all you do!
Lately the man doesn’t return calls.He came out 1 yr ago fixed issues with smile and was a kind and wonderful man.This past season they sent His employee to come out said issue was fixed, problem recurred. I Called again owner came out said, I’ll make it work for 2 weeks I’ll check with home warranty. See if they will allow me bring help to fix it. Another words get paid to redo something that wasn’t fixed in first place. Well been a week he told me he call me back by last Friday one way or other.Nope nothing!!!I called today Monday 2 times no return call.Last time he came out he said, I don’t service your area the home warranty shouldn’t give my number to you. Yet he’s one of the only companies that fix this type of wall unit and wants to take insurance or home warranty claims. But doesn’t want to help apparently everyone.Very disappointed this is not the same guy from a year ago. Who went out of his way to help me.Ask me a year ago I would have recommend highlyTODAY - not so much.Sorry that’s how I feel.
Cold 1 responded to a warranty call for my air conditioner. The owner was very polite and informative. He explained the problems in laymans terms so that I fully understood the service he was performing. He also educated my on how my warranty works and what I can expect in the future.

My central air conditioning wasnt working when I came home from work so I called Cold 1...they were fantastic! The technician, Robert, came within a couple hours and checked it out. The system needed a new part and he was able to replace it right then and there. Thankfully it wasnt on a super hot day. They were very responsive and Robert was so nice and understanding.
Only two words can describe the service here. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I called through my home warranty to submit a claim about my Air Conditioner not working.They gave me an appointment window between 8-10 a few days later. On that morning by 11am, nobody had called so I gave them a call. They said that a technician was stuck at another job for the whole day. How is that possible when I have the earliest possible appointment?! So they gave me another appointment for the next morning saying that the technician would come straight to my house in the morning. So here we go again, at 9:30 I called them because surprise, surprise they were not here.This time she told me she was gonna figure it out and call me back in one minute. 15 minutes later, still no call, so I called back and she told me that they were still working on the other job and that they could not come back today. Even though they had promised to come first thing in the morning. She admitted that she knew they werent coming earlier in the morning, and she did not call me. This is NOT how you run a business. DO NOT use this company. They will not keep your appointments. You will probably change your schedule, have to reschedule work, and probably give up your first born to try to get them to actually come to your house. Absolutely horrible! And here I am on hold trying to get through to my home warranty coverage. You will save lots of time and aggravation if you steer clear from this company, if you could even call it that.
Absolutely horrible. Warranty company keeps dispatching Cold 1 out to look at our central air conditioner for 2 weeks now. When they are supposed to show up at for a 4 PM apt they call at 4 and say they cant make it. They were supposed to show up again this morning and surprise surprise ummmm we arent coming again). Crystal is useless and has no clue what she is doing. Told our warranty company we cancelled the appointment. If that is what makes you sleep at night Crystal good for you.Would never recommend this company or the 2-10 warranty company.
30+ Hours.... still no heat. Technician arrived quickly, expressed concern that my heater was old. Told me he would have to locate a part and would call me back in an hour. That was 18 hours ago. Temperatures in the 20s/30s and not even a call back and no one answers any of the numbers when I call. I guess in my case Cold 1 is true to its name because I am a cold one, with no heat in sight.
My home warranty company put me with these people over a month ago. They said they would order my part and call me back in 3 weeks. After a month with no call I called them and they basically said they forgot about me but they have the part. I made an appointment for Wednesday from 8 to 10. Nobody showed up. I called and nobody answered. I called 3 more times and until I finally spoke to somebody who said they had no idea why nobody came but they would call me back. Nobody called me back. 2 days later I called and again, spoke to Rob, same story, same result, nobody called me back. I finally got through to them again 2 days later and the guy started to berate me saying that I was trying to fix my heater in 90 degree weather. Well first of all its 50 outside right now as Im talking to you. Second of all I made an appointment, took time out of work, and you left me here waiting with no update whatsoever. This was when he said he was going to cancel my order and send me back to the warranty company and hung up on me. Incredibly unprofessional company, with no regard for people or their time. I dont understand how they stay in business.
RUN, RUN, RUN the other way. Sent to me via my home warranty company. Came out immediately & diagnosed the problem! Paid my deductible then all down hill from there it’s now been 5 full days & no response from anyone. Told the representative I had a toddler this did not matter. My heat is still out. In addition they never sent info to my warranty company. If I could give them 0 stars I would... Don’t do it!

I called them b/c I own a Martial Arts gym & we had NO cold air....it is getting SUPER hot & humid out, so I needed it fixed ASAP. Luckily, they were able to come out within less than 24 hours. Called them at 8am on a Sunday when my oil furnace started acting up during a cold morning. Got a call back within an hour and had a service tech at the house within 2 hours. The price he charged me for an emergency visit, cleaning, and some necessary ductwork was less than our previous HVAC service charged for just a typical service/cleaning. I will be using Cold1services from here on out.
Showed up on time. Workers were professional and respectful. Installed new heating/AC unit. Cleaned up and left no mess. Would def use again! Thanks!!
Teddy is extremely knowledgeable and fair to work with and makes sure that the job is done right the first time! He also identified deficiencies and mistakes in previous work that was done on the unit that later caused the issues and was able to correct them or replace the parts so the issue wouldnt happen again! Highly recommend !
Have used in the past so when my central air didnt work when I turned on when I got back from vacation called. That was a week ago have called 2 more times left message NO return call average temp has been over 90. Obviously am calling someone else and obviously doesnt need the work and obviously owner doesnt care about people or business

I gave them one star. I called in on a Monday they said they would not be available until Friday. He gave me an appointment at 8am and did not get to my home until 10:30 am. When he got here he started explaining how he really only deals with commercial properties, that he really does not like to work with warranty companies. I just felt like he thought this job was beneath him and he only deals with Big contacts. I kept getting the run around. This was not a good experience.
My experiece was bad at beginning as the commincation was bad. However, the technician (Robert) is a good guy, he can fix the problem quickly, good manner. He listened my feedback too. Overall its still good result and experiece. Thanks to Robert to fix my system. Will recommend Robert if people need service from Cold 1 Service.

Cold 1 Services was a no-show for a scheduled appointment. Attempted to work out a solution, but the company employee on the phone was not helpful and explained to me, “this is how the company runs.”

2022-07-19Ted from Cold 1 Services went above and beyond when dealing with my home warranty company for a new AC compressor. The amount of extra time Ted spent on the phone with the warranty company (and myself) to ensure the correct parts were ordered and there were no delays in regards to the install were truly appreciated.While my warranty company let me down for over a month, Ted was a breath of fresh air. He made sure to advocate for the correct part and get the job done right. Thank you!

2022-08-10It’s been a year since we have cold 1 out- unfortunately they were assigned to us through our home warranty company. While it was in the middle of summer and covid I followed up religiously to see what was going on. After everything was repaired I got a bill from cold 1 for services they said were not covered by my warranty but when I asked for details of what I was paying I got no response; felt very deceitful as my warranty company said everything was covered. Here we are a year later and our AC needs 2lbs of Freon… a leak that was supposedly fixed. I would highly encourage you to get a different service provider if dealing with them through your home warranty.

2021-09-27Very helpful humans who take the extra time to do things properly.**To a bunch of the 1-star haters leaving reviews: this company has zero control over whats under warranty and what isnt. In a lot of circumstances: its not under warranty. Theyre also an HVAC company in the 6th largest city in the country - turnaround time for appointments can be weeks. Unless youre willing to foot the bill for emergency or after hour repairs, why would you expect as much?

2022-08-10Cold 1 Service is THE BEST when it comes to servicing your HVAC needs in the Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks county areas. I want to share this quick story because it is worth it. The other night during the heat wave, my AC unit just stopped working and my house went from 68 degrees to 90 degrees. I was in a panic because NO HVAC COMPANY WAS AVAILABLE or seemed to care about me and my family.I have two children and two dogs that I was most concerned about. I was so nervous and almost rented a hotel to keep my family safe. Then I came across Cold 1 Services and the owner Ted answered and took immediate action.Not only did he give me advice on how to protect my unit from damage the night I called him, but rushed over the next day and fixed the issue with ease!!! The BEST part is that he told me he would be there after 12 pm the next day, but he actually came at 9:30 in the morning.I was blown away by his care for me and my family, his quickness, professionalism, and getting my AC unit back on within minutes. I was able to sleep comfortably within 24 hours and I am so grateful.Thank you Ted for all your hard work and dedication. I was nervous and scared that I was going to suffer in this heat wave.
