Mall is dying, its sad to see because you see The Laurel Mall is Hazelton doing so well and this one left in the dust. The planet fitness and the dunhams are really the only big financial contributor that the mall has going for them right now. Of course there are all hospital offices in here but I mean off of retail. If this mall ever wants to be relevant again it should really consider being sold and renovated. You have a gold mine in Buckhorn Plaza literally two minutes away yet this mall is doing so bad? It seems more of a ownership problem than anything else. Even if the traditional mall wont work in this local economy anymore, you can easily create this mall into something that can thrive in a time of changing economy. Get your act together! It would be nice to see this mall resurrect in some form or fashion like The Laurel Mall has done.
I had a problem with a purchased of an item. I made a complaint and suggestion on line. The next day the manager call me and told me that my suggestion was good and they will make a change directly with that item and told me that they would give a discount next time i come in. Good for Dunhams they are willing to listen to their customers . Thanks Roger Andras.
Had a fun time here apparently only Durham sports is open and the rest of the mall is completely abandoned and shut down and its kind of creepy to walk around in there but you are allowed to walk around in there and its right across from the TA in Bloomsburg and if you got time to get out of your truck and go for a walk go for a walk guys place a little creepy and it was just a fun day
If I could give 0 stars I would. This place growing up was amazing! They had just about the same stores as the Wyoming Valley Mall. Now youre lucky that Bath and Body and Gertrude Hawk are still there. You maybe have 5 small stores if youre lucky. We would go there shopping there a lot, as it is close to home. But now that theres nothing there, I have to go way out of my way to get what I need. Im very disappointed in this mall anymore. Its just a skeleton of what it used to be.
It is a very nice and very quiet mall. Only a couple of store are left. They have an awesome Planet Fitness gym attached to the one end of the mall where Sears used to be. The gym is open 24 hours a day and the customer service at the desk are very helpful and polite also.
Ok its not the super mall but it somewhere u still can do a walk thru. Shop at the stores that are still there WHICH I GUARANTEE u love n/or need. My favorite is Bath n Body Work (BBW). Yes we can shop on line which I do a lot but theres nothing like the smell of store n definitely grabbing the product for WOW of it. Anyways step out get in the mall but remember remember #maskup. Lets protect each other. We #maskup n you #maskup n thats the way we all #maskup...😷
What used to be a nice place to shop, is now like a ghost town. Most of the Shoppes there have closed. There are some stores left that are worth visiting, like, Bath & Body works, Gertrude Hawke chocolates, and Payless shoes. Such a shame what has happened to this once vibrant mall.
Very sad only a handful of stores. Roof leaking so bad in Gertrude Hawk store they had a bucket to caught it all. Parking lot nothing but pot hole upon pot hole. No up keep so sad for the few stores that are there. I rode around building looking for entrance that was open. It was probably a nice place a long time ago but that kind of neglect does not happen overnight no wonder very few stores left. 😕
Very few stores are left there. I do appreciate that they are trying to be creative with the space, they have Reisinger offices in a large chunk of the mall and also a few nontraditional stored like a batting cage, dance studio, blood donation center, etc. Malls are dying everywhere, it seems like this place is trying to stay afloat however they can. Dont expect much shopping as the only retail stores left are Dunjams sports, a Gertrude hawk store, Victorias secret, bath and body works, and efo furniture, and a kids bounce house party place. Not many people here ever, so nice if you are looking to stretch your legs in the ac.
Its a ghost town. Im surprised I dont see tumbleweeds rolling down the center of the mall. The only good places left are Dunhams, the bounce place, Victorias Secret, and Bath & Body. They also have a furniture store but thats not a place you would typically go to on a regular basis.
Would normally have given 1 or 2 stars just because it doesnt have many shopping stores and thats what a mall should have. Ended up giving 4 stars because of the variety of things that made this mall stand out. For the kids like: bloom bounce, gymnastics, ballet and fitness center for adults.
Worst mall Ive ever been to in my life. The owners clearly are not bright. We live in a college town and they have no popular clothing stores or really any store for that matter. If you bring in good stores, colleges kids will come and spend their money, at your mall, which youre probably not used to. Ive lived here my whole life and its sad I have to drive 30-45 minutes just to get a new shirt. So basically, dont waste your time unless youre looking to get some exercise with the other elders who power walk here.
Worst mall ever! I guess amazon is slowly replacing these archaic places. We are traveling through and I saw this mall had a bounce house place. We had our son all hyped to go and every store is closed. Sign says mall is open at 10a but not a single store is open. Lame!
I like this place. Besides that that I was turned away once because my product wasnt ready and they were very busy. They dont care much about appt time. Which helps a lot on the east. Only thing Im missing here is for example the smile. They should smile more. And remember. We work together. What would You do? Without drivers coming to this place? 👋😊
Parking lot is pothole city, so hard on my car, everyones cars, I mean u have to see it to believe it. Its no wonder so much empty space inside. Hardly any stores at all. One place to eat or get a drink..subway. Dunhams only big retail type store. Theres a lot of office spaces, bed n bath place, Gertrude hawk candy, a dance school and gymnastics. Thats it for the most partMall is usually empty
Theres things to do at the mall but not like there used to be. Most of the businesses have left and the ones that are left wont be there for long. Its usually pretty clean but theres nothing in there anymore. Personally I cant stand going there unless Im going to Dunhams.
This can hardly be considered a mall, most of the store have closed. The only anchor stores left are Dunham Sports (who cares?) & Bon Ton. And Bon Ton is shuttering stores in nearby, busier malls, so its just a matter of time! Parking lot is as pitted as a war zone. No reason to go there. Local medical corporate giant, Geisinger Medical Center, should just buy this dinosaur: its dead.
Each time you enter the Columbia Mall, you cannot help but to do a visual search to see what else has closed. It is very unfortunate that this mall died years ago and they forgot to lock the doors. Many spaces are filled by Geisinger Medical Center, which has rented empty stores to use as office space. They lost Sears a while back. Too bad they did not put in a Super K-Mart or something else.I do not know how they stay open, but I personally would like the mall to stay and grow with new stores, events or even a movie.
Ive learned through visiting other malls that this is one of the worst malls Ive ever been to. Nearly all of the stores that used to be in there when I was a kid are gone now. Even the FYE where I got a large part of my movie collection has packed up and left. I havent gone to it in years. My girlfriend wont shop at the Victorias Secret here because the mall creeps her out, preferring instead to go out of town. If that doesnt describe the state of the place for you, I dont know what will.
Yeah, I know its a dead mall and the parking lot is filled with potholes, (watch out when youre driving!) but Im giving it 4 stars for another reason: Its a convenient place to mall-walk!Today, (late August) I went early to Burger King and had breakfast, went over to the mall, walked around, scratched off some (unfortunately, losing) lottery tickets, then went a little further on 42 past the mall to Kens Cattails and fed the fish. Made for a nice morning. The Subway in the mall opens at 9, and the Burger King as well as the Perkins and Cracker Barrel across the road are open early. The Wal-Mart and stores/restaurants in that plaza are pretty close, too. Youre out of the heat or cold, and lets face it, you probably have enough space with such few people to be able to walk comfortably all day. Massage chairs in there, too!
There are some good places here. The current management is getting better with restoring this mall. There is a Planet Fitness here now, which is a really nice gym - PF always has been a great place, and the Bloomsburg addition has been great. The Homestyle Buffet is a good place for food, and one of the only places to get food within the mall currently. They have a by the pound pricing, which can be a real steal on some really good food. The mall also has the only games store that has board games and trading card games in town. The Players Guild also hosts Magic the Gathering events and Dungeons & Dragons events each week.Uniquely, Bloom Bounce is located in the mall. Its a playground for kids, filled with balloon type fixtures for them to bounce around in. They have open bounce hours, and can be booked for parties. There are a few of the conventional stores as well - Bon Ton, Gertrude Hawk, Victoria Secret, etc. But right now, this place should be looked at more for its non-conventional stores.
You know when JCPenney is your lead anchor store, that youre in trouble - at least from a shoppers perspective. This was probably a great mall at one time. Im guessing that time was around 1995. It seems that most of the mall has been converted to private office space for Gesigner Hosptial, which is sort of awkward to walk through. The parking lot is so uneven and full of potholes, I wouldnt consider entering it any faster than 5mph and with four wheel drive - park near the superior Quaker Stake and walk. There are a handful of great businesses in here (Pretzel Store, Bloom Bounce, Players Guild) so hopefully the mall can make even more of a transition to that environment. Theres not much else in Bloomsburg, other than the college - perhaps some of the area should be used by that? Maybe an indoor track?
You know those dystopian movies where the survivors of some kind of cataclysm band together in a deserted and half destroyed shopping mall? Thats this place. The attrition is painted on the walls, which are shades of late 90s turquoise and salmon. Easy listening music thunders through the hallways, undampened by mallgoers. Empty facades outnumber actual stores, staring out into the main thoroughfare like glassy, unblinking eyes. The lighting is dim and dismal, a moody atmosphere of decay, the building a hollow echoing chamber of anachronism. This is what our fervent culture has become, empty and pitiful. The little Buffet is cute though.

2022-03-03The mall has almost nothing in it anymore. I don’t think there will ever be the possibility to bring back any mall unless you do what they did in the city areas (which there is not the population nor income in this area for it). That is to get a Bass Pro, Medieval times, etc as the staples and then the smaller stores would come back. At this point, the gym, VA, Dunham Sports, and seasonal stores are the best you’ll get. Everything has went to the mini mall effect.

2022-02-28It is so depressing. No more stores. So empty!! Owners of the mall- you need to make your rentals affordable so businesses can fill the Mall again. People need jobs. Kids in the high schools need jobs...and find a good restaurant such as a Golden Corral..people love salad bars in this area and affordable meals.

2022-02-24How does this mall have 2.7 rating? There is nothing left. Dunham sports and Efo furniture. Thats it for shopping. Dont waste a trip unless you want to go to one of those stores.

2022-04-04There are no stores open, its a ghost town run by mall walkers, and the parking lot is a war zone. Would give it zero stars if it wasnt for dunhams, which is a joke in itself.

2021-10-01Hi,This mall was all of my childhood. However, nowadays the mall is dead. It is an amazing sight though it has 3 stores. Most malls close with 10 and this one has three. If you see this, please visit this mall before it dies.

2021-07-07There is very little to do in this location. Having spent a majority of my life in Bloomsburg, I had the opportunity to watch as all sorts of storefronts closed down and opened. The mall now serves as a place to walk around more than anything, and doesnt offer much in the way of adult entertainment. You can still find a few stores open, but the activities mainly pertain to young children. This structure now stands as a reminder of past consumerism, and it has an almost chilling/nostalgic vibe thats hard to pin point exactly. A fun place to wander with your thoughts.
