Stayed here on a visit to Hershey park. Very clean staff always around cleaning! Breakfast very limited nothing warm, all packaged. No microwave in the room. The water handle in the shower was poorly attached and very loose but the room was very clean and comfortable. Nice location.
BEWARE, I PAID ALMOST 300 PER ROOMI PICKED THIS PLACE BECAUSE OF THE BRAND. AND WAS MISLED AFTER CHRCKING INFOUND OUT THAT THE POOL IS OUT OF COMMISSION- THE EXCERSIZE ROOM IS YUP OUT OF COMMISSION.THESE 2 THINGS IS ONE OF THE REASONS I PAID ALMOST 600.00 FOR 2 ROOMS 1 NIGHTKIDS AND WIFE WERE UPSET THAT THE WEB SITE DOES NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THE POOL OR EXCERSIZE ROOM BEING OUT OF COMMISSION?WHAT YA THINK? SHOULDNG THEYLIST THESE THINGS ON THEIR SITE?????
If youre looking for something for convenience near the park and near the restaurants and stores that wont make you go broke by the end of the weekend this is a decent place to stay. Its not the cleanest, its definitely not updated, the beds are your typical hotel bed with the uncomfortable feather limp pillows. One of our family members had to switch rooms due to the heater being broken which they didnt know until bedtime. That was a bummer especially when traveling with kids. Had I known ahead of time or if it was advertised to us at booking that the pool was shut down and that they wouldnt be having a breakfast station aside from just gas station junk like packaged muffins and cereals I would have gone somewhere else.Staff its nice and its conveniently located that is about it.
While this property is super convenient to the park, the hotel seemed old and not unclean, but not able to be completely clean to the age of things such as the carpets and bathroom fixtures. The internet was spotty at best. Would be fantastic if it would be upgraded since it is so close to hersheypark, restaurants and other attractions.
Management needs to deal with the bug issue they apparently know they have! Vacuuming bugs up as an ongoing option is not acceptable. Guests shouldn’t have to plunge own toilet and then be told to just leave the plunger outside the door for a staff member to come get it when they can.
I came to Hershey PA for a concert at the Giant Center the evening of 11/12/21 with my daughter and best friend and I paid $288 for ONE night; one room. The room was DISGUSTING! The beds were disheveled, the backboards on the beds had smears of whatever on them, the carpets had huge stains on them and there was bugs on the carpet and in the bathroom. It made for a very uncomfortable stay. We didnt even use the shower. We waited until we got home! VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Hotel needs a MAKEOVER for sure!!!!!
Positive: My husband and I took a chance with this one. The deal was pay a certain amount and get a 3-Star hotel. We got lucky! This location was excellent. The room was clean! Staff was accommodating. We did not regret our decision. Negative: I was disappointed that the gym was closed, but there was breakfast and coffee!
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLEIf I could rate 0 I would, the room was dirty there was a handprint on the wall when we walked in, a bug on the wall, two spider webs in the window, random stuff on the ground, pile of dirt on the carpet, mold on the shower, dirty vault, and dirty refrigerator. IT WAS DISGUSTING. We sat on the bed just for a second and I’m not sure who but someone opened our door and closed it and it was terrifying. We came here just for one night and changed the hotel the same day at 1 am in the morning. Please advise no one to come here. There are better options. We booked a room at Holiday Inn Express it was great! Please go there instead. I just wanted to have somewhere to rest after a long day at Hershey park and took forever to get that. Take this with a grain of salt and don’t go to comfort inn. Thank you.
Decent hotel. Came in with our 10 baseball players and about 30 of their family members. Staff (except for one) was very accommodating. Rooms were a little outdated but clean. Only real downside was the pool was closed. Plenty of sit down and fast food restaurants nearby. Grocery store right up the hill. Minutes from Hershey Park and In The Net Baseball fields. Would stay there again. Hopefully the pool is fixed by then.
Arrived late entrance sign hard to see took 2 turns around before finding it. Was not thanked for being gold member or offered anything. Room clean tv had limited channels curtains did not close for privacy and to block bright lites on all night. Towels and cloths were new great feeling didn’t spend much time in room very busy with things to do and see also it was quiet
The following shall be my typed review of the Comfort Inn hotel in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.1- Customer serviceCustomer service in the lobby of the building performed professionally, and spoke clearly so that the customer could understand them.2- Our roomOur hotel room looked swell. To me, it felt somewhat like I was at home, which is a rather welcoming vibe. Though, the people who I stayed in the room with had the notion that there was a bug on the ceiling, and that it may have even been dead. Upon inspecting it, however, I personally do not think it was a bug. We also had access to a wireline telephone, which is certainly useful if there is ever an emergency (god forbid), as well as a television and a radio.
We were cheated; two reasons we paid more for this hotel than for something similar were promised (1) pool and (2) hot breakfast. Well, pool was closed and the breakfast is a continental-carbs-only version. Kids were really really upset, and I had to keep my protein dinner leftovers so I could have some low-carb/protein breakfast, which is especially important because you can’t really walk anywhere from this location even though on the map it appears that lots of meal options are nearby. Otherwise, despite being a bit dated, it’s clean and reception is nice. Large lobby with dining tables where you can sit with family playing board games or eat your ordered from somewhere dinner after long day of exploring in the area.
Great set up, away from noise, yet next to attractions, restaurants, stores. Easy in and out, dont have to worry about highway traffic, lights and congestion. Staff outstanding. Short ride to all we wanted to see and do. Hershey, zoo, outlets, Harrisburg, Hummelstown, car museum, and more.
Positive: Close to the park Negative: If you like Luke warm showers and uncomfortable beds than youll love this place. The pool was closed and breakfast was extremely limited. Considering the price I was very disappointed and when I told them about the cold showers they only said sorry
We stayed 2 nights in a room with 2 queen beds. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The reasons for not rating this stay as excellent: lumpy mattress, room A/C struggled to work - room felt damp, only one elevator working so some waiting occurred, hallway rugs and walls need a re-fresh, and the trash cans outside and in the hallways were overflowing with trash our entire time there. The hotel was decent and served its purpose for our stay, but I cant necessarily rave about how perfect it was. We felt we got our moneys worth compared to what other hotels cost when we were booking our trip.
Old hotel with no upgrades. Dirty elevators that smell like cigarettes. Actually the entire hotel smelled that way. Front desk staff was at all hours was not helpful. My cousin prepaid the entire cost of the hotel for us yet my cc was still charged $460 at check in for incidentals. The cost to stay for 4 nights was about $998 which is ridiculous for a hotel in this kind of shape with zero amenities. Will never stay here again.
For us, the pros of the hotel are its location, very close to Hershey Park, Tanger Outlet, close to several restaurants and supermarkets for a more affordable price than Hershey hotels. Cons point was the breakfast, they are offering what they call light coffee, but they only had sweet things and a limited variety, and the drinks vending machines were not always reset, for 2 consecutive days we tried to buy water and they didnt replace it.
The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean but the room was literally falling apart. The light cover in the bathroom fell on me and all the springs holding together the bottom 1/2 of the sofa bed were broken and not connected to the frame so when I knelt on it I fell right through. We only stayed here because the Hershey hotel and lodge were both booked,, we wont be returning.
I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but I have to make an exception. The room was not super clean, but I always travel with my own cleaning stuff thanks to COVID. The breaker for me was the toilet that was barely flushing and over the course of the day it wasnt flushing at all so I called the front desk to get someone to take care of it. The response was, ok, Ill bring up a plunger for you. I hoped that I misunderstood that I was supposed to plunge a toilet in a hotel that we did not even close to excessively use. Apparently those expectations are a little high and a plunger was dropped off at my room by who appeared to be another guest.
We had a nice stay. On our first night, literally 10 minutes after we checked in, the toilet clogged. The kid that came up and fixed the toilet was very nice and got it fixed. We were even moved to a new room. Breakfast was very good, I really enjoyed the waffles and the 24 hour coffee/hot chocolate and lemon water. The pool was refreshing and quite warm, which was good for us because it was the winter. It was so close to Weis, which was good as it was convenient for us. Would not mind checking back in here.
This hotel was well-kept, pristine, quiet, secure. Weve stayed here three times, all for medical purposes, and the professional level has been maintained. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Conveniently located near a shopping mall with eateries and grocery store with bakery. Located near the hospital (with excellent hospital rates!) which was a luxury of convenience. Way more than adequate--this was a blessing!!!
Very nice quiet place, has a pond outside with ducks and a goose. Inside has a place to sit for breakfast or just to sit. Some things are outdated. Like hallways to rooms, elevator. Everything was pretty much closed. Rooms were ok. Bed was uncomfortable, sheets were nice though. Bathroom had no sink, the sink was placed right when you walked into room. There was a closet and it was small, 2 queen beds, a flat screen tv, a microwave, and refrigerator, and a desk had 3 lights. Refrigerator was small and made a lot of noise. Bathroom was ok, clean. Shower head was awful tiny and did not move. Bathroom there was not enough room for 2 people. Commode made a lot of noise. The good thing was price and how close to hospital and around shopping and food areas.
Absolutely unacceptable house keeping due to poor management. I changed three rooms, and went to got my own sheet and pillow. Finally, went thru the night but the hotel didn’t provide any compensation.Room1: A bug on the pillowsRoom2: tons of dead bugs on the floor and AC ventRoom3: sheets weren’t changed and there were lots of dog hairs in the sheetsFront desk lady is nice, and the building is solid. The management should focus on getting clean sheets and room.
This is a great hotel, nice and close to Hershey. It offers free breakfast, which includes a lot of hot options (eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles). The pool is decent too - though we didnt utilize it for the 2 nights we stayed. The room was spacious, but could use updating. Dont let that deceive you though - it was a great stay, in a clean hotel with a friendly staff!
Hotel was very clean, inviting. Front desk personnel were very friendly, knowledgeable and check-in was smooth sailing. Lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again, anytime. Have already told friends that are planning a trip to Hershey in the summer that this would be the perfect hotel to stay in.
We stayed here to go to Hershey Park. 2 adults, 4 children. Beds were soft, clean bathroom. Pool was kept clean. Great breakfast. Staff was awesome, giving me extra blankets. There were 5 fire alarms which was bad, one was at 1:40 am. All occurred between 2 days. We stayed for 3 nights. Management was great. Forgot bathing suits and towels in the dryer. They were nice enough to ship them home to me, but on my credit card. Would have thought that would have at least been shipped free due to standing outside at 1:40 am with 4 kids..... all in all, aside from the alarms, it was a great stay
Stayed 2 nights.. Lobby not air conditioned. Hallways not air conditioned. Elevator was very dirty and was not operational the morning we checked out. Had to haul our luggage down 5 flights of stairs to check out. Not once was there any breakfast or coffee went we went down at 9AM. The carpet in the room had about a dozen gigantic stains. There was a cockroach on the floor lamp and several stick bugs dead by the window. The tub faucet would only turn a 1/4 of a turn, it would turn on and then turn to Scalding hot.. The bed was stiff as a board.. the furniture in general was extremely dated. And the mini Fridge didnt work.. I have to say this is one of the worst hotel rooms we have stayed in. The large woman that works the night shift is nasty and is non-accommodating... She did nothing for us. The woman on the day shift was nice and put us in a somewhat better room for the next night. Because of her I added a star..
Rating was so-so, but hotel was better than the rating. Elevators are scratched up and need refinished, but my room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was fine. Hotel is set back by itself. Quiet around the hotel. Hotel traffic only. C shaped Pool looked nice, but I did not use it.
This is an awesome place to stay if you visit Hershey, PA! We always stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, nice clean rooms and nice pool. The staff at this Comfort inn are always nice and friendly. We always have a very nice breakfast, with Belgian waffles (not just original), scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, breads, assorted bagels, English muffins, assorted cereal, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and assorted pastries. There is also a little pond next to the hotel with ducks and they like to walk around.
Staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is was warm, my children loved the waffle maker and the eggs. The hotel is close to Hershey Park, I wish they would have had a shuttle to the park. The hotel does need some updates. The doors need a fresh coat of paint, the elevator wallpaper is peeling, and there were cob webs on the outside of our windows. There is not an ice machine on every floor, so it seems like you are running up and down steps. The laundry room is a little creepy due to lighting and it feels like a closet. You have to go to the front desk to purchase laundry soap. The internet worked well and there is service throughout the building. There is no directory in the room with a restaurant list to call for food. We found that there are some great local pizza places within 5 min of the hotel. Pack your cell phne charger, there are no charging stations in your room. We could not use the pool due to it being repaired, it did look very nice.
This location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet place to stay just seconds from Hershey Park! The park is literally seconds down the street. I stay here frequently because I am required to attend trainings nearby and my employer puts me up here. I always get the same room with a full size single bed, chaise lounge, desk and a nice shower bath tub combo. The room is always clean and loaded with towels. There is a safe inside too. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I love the huge indoor pool and very early breakfast with lots of options. You cant beat the location with a budget friendly price. The added bonus is a small fresh water pond on site that is home to a large skein of ducks. I even got to watch the ducklings grow up over my many stays here. I would give 5 stars but by my standards, this hotel does not meet a 5 rating simply because of the dated furnishings andI reserve 5 star ratings for higher end establishments. It is a great, budget friendly hotel in close proximity to moth Hershey Park and Hershey Medical Center.
The name Comfort Inn matches the experience. Parking was easy and we liked using the luggage rack to get our stuff to the rooms. We enjoyed having adjoining rooms. Access to the pool was great, especially the safety aspect of using our key card to enter. The variety of food, fruits and drinks at breakfast was good. I liked the fact that at this Comfort Inn the sausage was kept in a separate container from the eggs, since we avoid meat. They should consider adding some vegan options They should also add an exercise room.
Everything about this hotel was more then we could ask for. Location is great tucked away but close to everything including Hershey Park and restaurants. Staff was friendly. Check in and out was quick and easy. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good with lots of selections both hot and cold. Offered hot/cold coffee, tea and water 24/7. The lemon infused water was the best. Also the pool was very nice. Definitely will be staying here again on out next trip to the area.
Overall this is the best value to me in Hershey. The hotel itself is getting a little bit run down over the years but it’s still a really good value it’s still very clean and the breakfast is adequate. The staff is very helpful and courteous and I would come back again in a heartbeat. I just hope that the owners and management take care of the little things that make a hotel slightly better than the competition. The Decour, the rugs, the walls and the trim around the floors and the doors etc.
We stayed in a Family suite for a weekend in July with our two little boys during our visit to see all the Hershey attractions. The room was very clean, beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast was both plentiful and delicious! Breakfast is early, but no one rushed you out of there if you came down late. We loved the 24hr complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in the breakfast room! It was so nice after getting back from a long day out at the parks to be able to enjoy a nice cup of something before heading up to bed! Staff is very polite, and always happy to hear your concerns. If there were one downfall to our stay, it would only be that we we were not permitted to check in early at all. After a 2 1/2 car ride with two small children, all you want to do is check in and get settled, and not be told that you must come back after 4pm to check in. Other than that one hiccup, our stay was very enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The kids loved having their own room in the suite, complete with their own tv and ac unit. It was very exciting for them! We were very happy with our stay and would gladly return!
This hotel was great. Among the hustle and bustle of all the businesses around, it was actually tucked away and quiet. There is an awesome duck pond, and there were a lot of woodchucks in the fields. The surroundings were nice, and I felt safe enough to do yoga outside near the creek. Beautiful scenery. The pool was good enough for my 13 year old, the staff was really friendly and funny. They greeted us every time we walked in or out. The room was clean, and although housekeeping didnt come the first day, I alerted the desk to it and they came moving forward.
If stayed in a lot of hotels, and this one wasnt bad. It wasnt amazing, but it was decent. The beds were a bit stiff, but not horrible. There was adequate space in the rooms. The breakfast was not bad, and the staff was nice. All in all you got what youd expect to get from a Comfort Inn, and I wasnt upset about it.
We had an excellent experience at this hotel. The location was extremely convenient to Hershey Park and the nearby shopping and restaurants. The duck pond on the property was very sweet and the ducks were very friendly. Our room was clean and attractively decorated. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was as expected. The dining area was very crowded on the morning we were there, there were not enough seats for all the guests. The food was completely adequate for a free breakfast.
The room was great, perfect for a family of four but some needed upgrades. The bathroom was in major need of upgrade, so not happy! that kinda change my mine of return to this hotel in the future. But on the good side was hotel was great with cleanliness and services. My kids loved the pool and breakfast was great! saved us lost of money and tasted good. Overall we were all happy and had a great time.
Overall, this a very good hotel. The building is more up to date than many, the lobby and common area is very nice, the room was very clean, the beds comfortable. No attached restaurant, but several are a moderate walk or short drive away. The staff that checked us in was very friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was standard Comfort Inn fare and good, but one morning the eggs were very watery.
The hotel was in great proximity to Hershey and all its attractions. The pool was spacious and clean and there were adequate towels. The breakfast service was varied and had very good hours. I would prefer that the hotel switch away from plastic dishes and plastic cutlery; there was no visible recycling. The room itself was a fine size. However, as the reservation was for four (2 adults & 2 children) it was my expectation that the sofa bed would have been made up. Not only was it not made, there were no linens. The sofa bed was broken, crooked, and all around a disaster. Everything else was fine... but the discovery of the bad bed AT bedtime was a damper.
The hotel overall was really nice. They had a good breakfast and the rooms were clean. I was underwhelmed by the indoor pool- the water cold, they ran out of towels, and the connected bathroom was disgusting. Our favorite part was the little pond out front with very social ducks!
Overall, a decent hotel central to attractions and dining. The room looks nice upon entering but really needs some updating. Maids come around around 9am and breakfast is only until 9am!! This hotel seems to want you out of your room super early, so it’s not very relaxed for a vacation. Management was very nice to reimburse us for the night that we had to go outside twice because the fire alarms went off.
We stayed here three nights during a trip to Hershey and Gettysburg. It was very quiet and comfortable. Great location to get to Hershey Park or onto nearby highways to visit other sights. We loved the pond out front with the ducks. Breakfast was a bit chaotic and we ended up going out to breakfast one morning. Food at the hotel was average but there seemed to be plenty of choices. We were right across from the elevator but was still very quiet at night. Beds were very comfortable. We had two queen beds for a family of four and had plenty of room. Internet worked fine. We stayed on a higher floor to be away from the potential noise of the parking lot. We didnt hear anything from outside. Pool looked nice and was open late but we didnt get a chance to use it.
It does the job. Rooms are clean and neat. Breakfast is good. Nothing very fancy but well taken care of. Is kind of hidden away so while next to a shopping center it feels secluded. We stayed over labor dya6weekend it was very busy and the staff managed well keeping the breakfast full and stocked.
Excellent amenities, great staff and a cool heated indoor pool to boot. The rooms were big enough, beds comfy, clean linens, good bathroom. The breakfast area is large unlike other comfort inn chain of hotels. Good selection of food, pancake/waffle maker, coffee 24 hours. The indoor heated pool is good enough for the kids but there was little bit more chlorine than I would have preferred.Only thing they can improve is having another set of Washer and Dryer as it was always occupied and people were waiting for their turns. And it was really old.
Overall I was very happy with our stay. The location was great (close to the park and I walked to Panera!) And rates more than reasonable. Check was fast and easy and the front desk called a little while later to ensure everything was going well. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had great water pressure and plenty of towels. The beds were firm but not hard. That is huge for me! I slept well! My only complaint would be the pillows. For as comfortable as the bed was the pillows were horrible. Luckily they gave us a lot of them because they were beyond soft...almost paper like with zero support. I was able to triple up to sleep well but they need to upgrade these. My family would stay here again.
We were very satisfied with our visit during NYE, the front desk had a flyer with Hersheys NYE celebration which was a nice touch. The complimentary coffee and hot chocolate was really nice especially with the cold weather outside. Our room was a good size and it had a sofa. The pool area was well maintained and always had fresh towels. Breakfast was a big surprise! Usually free breakfast includes a couple items but they really went above and beyond with their options. The staff did a great job keeping everything well stocked and were friendly during our entire stay. We would definitely stay again!
I was pleased with our stay during Easter weekend. Staff were friendly, amenities were up to par, and hotel was clean. The room darkening drapes do not fully close and outside light shown in our room all night. The pool was nice and definitely heated, almost like a sauna. A little too warm for me, but other seemed to enjoy it. There were tons of breakfast options that were refilled often throughout the early morning hours, but no dietary labels and dont sleep late since it is over at 9am. The kids enjoyed the duck pond and being able to hanging out in the lobby to play games.
Very pleased by this Comfort Inn near Hershey Park. The hotel was tricky to find the first time, but the overall location was excellent for getting to Hershey Park (5 mins) and lots of restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable and big enough for a family of 5 not to feel crowded. The free breakfast was on par with what I was expecting (average hotel breakfast) however the hours were short...only 6am - 9am which made it always crowded and the staff was challenged to keep up with the demand both on food and wiping down tables. Indoor pool was excellent. Plenty of towels, clean and didnt smell musty in the room and the pool wasnt over chlorinated. There was a gentleman who came through and tested the water quality regularly and they even showed you the pool water temp (very nice 88 degrees). The staff was quick to check us in, provide us with directions and tips about the area and to get us extra toiletries, sheets, pillows, etc. Overall, great hotel for a trip to Hershey park.
We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn at the Park. About 2 miles from Hershey Park and plenty of food choices in the area. Room was decent, bathroom could be updated but it was clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a bit of a madhouse with everyone trying to take advantage of the free breakfast before they close out at 9am. Perhaps they will extend the time to 10am. That would be nice. People are on vacation, most want to sleep late and not have to get up so early for breakfast.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We forgot a disposable razor and there were no sheets in the room for the pull out couch bed. I ask the concierge about it, he quickly got me the sheets and even a disposable razor.Food/ breakfast was good. Coffee was excellent!Pool could have been a little more clean/ lots of hair in the pool.Room bathroom had some stray hairs in shower. Couch in room had a few stains.Overall excellent hotel for the price!
The hotel was located close to everything in Hershey. Staff was very accommodating to our group stay. Hotel room was up to date with amenities and was clean. Bathroom could have used an update but was ok for the stay. The continental breakfast was great and the seating area was large enough for our group and themsome! On a side note we loved going out to feed the ducks in the morning!
We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Hershey. It was about 2 miles from all the attractions. The room was very large and clean. We had 2 queen beds. My daughter slept in the other bed. The sink was outside the bathroom which was very convenient so when someone was showering we can wash up or put on makeup. The breakfast was great and there was coffee available 24 hours a day. There was an indoor pool, plenty of parking, the staff was very friendly and there were ducks living right outside the hotel. We had a great stay.
Negatives: shower was a bit weak, the bathroom needed some touch-up paint, it was weird that the heavy drapes were only decorative so there was a 3 gap that only had sheer curtains filtering the outside light, and the Internet was a bit slow, apparently not able to handle a full house.Positives: A sign on a fence pointed the way down a drive to the hidden hotel. Checking in, they granted a late check-out so could shower in the comfort of the room after a race. They were able to give us a couple of ideas for local restaurants. They had the buffet ready 6 a.m., which Im sure was earlier than normal. There were three waffle irons with plain, strawberry, and chocolate waffle batters and a lot of toppings. There was plenty of food despite a lot of people being there at once. After the race, they accommodated another 30 more minutes since we ran late with the post-race stuff.Always, whatever staff we interacted with were cordial, if not downright friendly. From the phone call about breakfast and confirming there was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room before coming to checking out, it was a top-notch experience. Ive stayed at Marriotts and Hiltons and not been able to say that.A final note, we LOVED that you have a feeder for those of us enamored by the ducks frequenting the water next to your parking lot. That was such a fun sight to see upon entry and we made a point to spend a couple of quarters to feed them after we checked out.
We arrived earlier than check-in time and stored our bags with Chad Front Desk Manager due to the unavailability of a clean room which was understandable. Upon our return, Kristin was very friendly and gave us information in regards to amenities the hotel has to offer. Her hospitality made us feel good about being there. The housekeeper was terrific and did a great job with our room and the hallway was kept clean. I also appreciated Vicky giving us a late check-out time as our train wasnt departing until mid-afternoon. It would have been great if the hotel would accommodate guests with a shuttle bus to and from Hershey Park. Not everyone drives to Pa. like myself. I was excited about the indoor pool but disappointed that the water was extremely cold. Besides those few issues it is a lovely hotel with a hot breakfast each morning. I would definitely return and recommend to others.
Around the corner from Hershey Lodge conference/hotel and very near Chocolate Av and the Park. Nice quiet location and quiet hotel. Feeding the ducks was a daily pleasure. Very clean bathrooms, good breakfast compared to other free ones - yogurt, eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffle station. Clean breakfast area. Only critique-pull out the nightstands more often to thoroughly vacumn. Happy with our choice- spent less than half our team mates spent a Hershey Lodge and our room was nicer.
Great hotel for our family after a long day at Hershey Park. First time ever that the front desk called within an hour of check in to see if we needed anything. Made my day. I also loved the unique pool layout. Nice free breakfast with a large area to sit down to eat without feeling crowded in the morning. Rooms a bit small but cozy and clean!
We enjoyed our short stay here. I cant go five stars because I am too picky. It was really good, but to get five stars, I cant pay $200 plus in Hershey Pa. With that said, really nice touched with the 24hour coffee and lemon water. Keep that stuff going everything else was good. Overall, a pleasant surprise.
Very nice and welcoming hotel. The indoor heated pool was enjoyed by all and the breakfast was really great..missing the southern sausage biscuits and gravy though. Rooms were nice and beds were comfy. The towels were really nice also! Coffee all day long was a treat too. We will definitely stay again.
The hotel itself is fine. The room and bedding were seemingly clean and the mattress was comfy. The bathroom could use a good scrubbing though. The bathtub/shower had paint peeling from it badly. The breakfast offered is decent however it is not allergy-friendly. Located very close to Hershey Park as well as other restaurants, shops, and gas stations. There is a cute duck pond in the front of the hotel where you can feed the ducks which the kids love.
The Comfort Inn at the Park has been our go-to hotel when we stay in a Hershey for the past ten years. It is about 2 miles down the road from the Hershey complex and is very reasonably priced. We stay here every December. There is a decent breakfast service included and a small indoor pool. The hotel is basic....has comfortable beds and great housekeeping service. It is starting to look a bit worn out, but it was clean!
Pros: Best layout for breakfast out of every Comfort Inn weve been to! Very well organized and 4 waffle makers a plus! Very convenient location Hershey Park. Very friendly staff. The pool design was great. It was almost like 2 separate pools so you didnt feel on top of the other people in the pool. Also like that there was a coin operated washer & dryer. It came in handy washing & drying the bathing suits & towels from the park.Cons:Rooms need to be updated! We stayed in a suite and I have to say it was one of the worst comfort Inn rooms we ever stayed at. It was clean but looked dirty. One of the a/c didnt work well. Also there was this smell...best described as kind of musty.
Very conveniently located. There was a good variety of eat out places close by. The room was clean and the pool was actually warm enough to swim. Breakfast buffet was good enough with boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, donuts, toast, cereals, bagels, and yogurt. There was even sugar free syrup for those who need it. Coffee is available at all times. We would definitely stay there again. The four stars is because they only had the instant oatmeal.
Upon check in the reception area was very welcoming, the staff very helpful, courteous and professional. The breakfast that was included was a very nice touch, especially when you are traveling with children, although I would have liked to see some fresh fruit offered. Everyone loved the lemon water! Housekeeping staff left a lot to be desired. The bathrooms do need to be updated, there was a crack in our tub.
Hotel was conveniently located to Hersheypark (the main purpose of our stay). Just off the highway, with a strip mall next door -- including a Panera. Parking was plentiful and easy. Check in and overall stay at the hotel was pleasant and easy as well. Breakfast was chaotic and overcrowded, but the crowds died down toward the end. When we first arrived downstairs, there were no tables, and we could barely get to the food. There was a good selection and everything tasted good, once we were able to get food. The room was old, but clean and comfortable. The sink is outside the very small, old bathroom...but it worked for our one-night stay. For the price, I would recommend the hotel. It was not high-end by any stretch, but comfortable for our stay (1 adult, 2 children). Everything nearby is easy to find and the hotel was convenient to all the main attractions in Hershey.
Overall experience was great and our children especially enjoyed feeding the ducks! Not something theyve ever been able to do at any other hotel. We were surprised our room didnt have a refrigerator. Breakfast Sunday morning was absolutely crowded and chaotic; however, it was a holiday weekend. Staff was very apologetic and helpful with refilling things when they were empty, finding extra seating in a meeting room, etc. The breakfast we had to wait for was very good once we had it. The kids loved the pool also. Staff overall was very friendly, great with our kids, and very knowledgeable.
I rarely get excited about a hotel. I expect clean, comfortable rooms and friendly service, but it seems that at the Hershey Comfort Inn, these rise to a new level. From the very professional service at check-in, to the very well designed rooms, to the very excellent complementary breakfast, and the small but well-kept pool -- it all made the stay very, very rewarding. Several times I asked the desk for information and they were extremely helpful. I cannot wait to go back!
The hotel wasnt good or bad. We got to our room and found trash and an empty beer can. Thankfully, The staff was helpful and moved us to a different room. The pool and the breakfast is nice (4 waffle machines)! Cleaning service could have been better. Overall, not bad. 3/5.
I’m sorry. I really try not to post reviews if they aren’t 5 stars but this place was kinda nasty. I’m cool with a place showing it’s age. We know it’s not supposed to be the 4 seasons but no excuse for dirtiness. Poop on the toilet, jiz on the bed covers, mini fridge covered in liquid goo. That’s controllable. Worse, on second day there house cleaning knocked on door and I said we are leaving in 2 seconds only to come back to untouched room. Staff is nice. Indoor pool is dated but relatively clean and warm. We didn’t eat the breakfast but looked pretty good if you want that kinda stuff, for free. Good location, close to stores and stuff and quick ride to attractions.
My family and I were very pleased with our stay. The hotel was neat and clean and the bed very comfortable with all the stacked pillow selections. We were traveling with children, so we esp. liked the free breakfast and were delighted to see the large variety of food items available. The children loved the pool which made their stay special. Everyone friendly and helpful. If in the area again we would definitely stay with you again.
The location was great because it was close to our destination, but I felt that the price was a little unreasonable for the quality of the room. It was fairly clean but was a bit worn and could use some updating (i.e. peeling tub). I did not care for the layout of the bathroom. There was no sink, counter, or electrical outlets in our bathroom, just the toilet and tub. In the morning, I had to get ready, including running the hair dryer, in the room while the kids and husband were sleeping. The positive side is that they have a good variety for breakfast and the employees were very friendly.
Overall our stay was pleasant. The room was in great shape, bed were comfortable and pillows were wonderful. Breakfast was ok, waffles were the biggest hit. Not many options for healthy eating; cereals were high sugar (fruit loops, frosted flakes), there was fruit offered but none at 8:15am when we arrived for breakfast. Hard boiled eggs were all gone as well.
The Comfort Inn staff was very hospitable and accommodating to our needs as a large family of six ( four teenage boys). The hotel rooms were clean and quiet. The pool area was warm and though we brought our own swim/beach towels, the hotel provided us with clean, fresh towels. To our dismay, the hot breakfast was only okay, but it was edible. Fresh fruit and cereal were fine. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others.
Great place to stay when going to hershey park! Very affordable compared to others. There is no reason to pay 350 a night at the Hershey lodge, where its more crowded. The room was clean and the woman at the front desk was extremely friendly. She didnt rush me off and was able to answer all of my questions. The pool was clean as well.(indoor) Kids had a great time and we will stay here again.
Nice Location, good bedding and a good breakfast to start your morning. But the building needs to be revamped to get that old building smell out and need some chairs to sit in the rooms. These small improvement could make a world of difference to get a better rating from myself and my family. We stayed at many a hotels and my wife ranks this at the bottom. I am a little more forgiven but agree that the place needs work since the prices are on the pricier side compared to other hotels in the area.
Clean room, beds were comfy and pillows, you can tell hotel is old by the looks of it but it has a nice charm to it, front desk wasn’t very friendly, no breakfast and pool was closed due to COVID, location is quiet on a dead end street, it’s nice to take a walk down the road and back and watch the ducks in the pond swim, we walked around for a bit played catch in the parking lot and watched the sunset, overall we only stayed one night but it was a very enjoyable experience!! would definitely recommend if ur in the area!
The hotel staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel was a little hard to find at first yet proved to be a very convenient location for Hershey area activities. The room was clean and spacious and the morning breakfast was convenient. The hotel staff keeps coffee and tea available all day. Very quiet yet family oriented. There is no on site fitness center though guests can use a local gym. Excellent service.
Hotel was conveniently located although the entrance sign could be better placed, nearly missed it because the sign was not very visible and it sneaks up on you. Close to food and dining. The staff was very helpful and courteous made check in and check out easy. Bathroom shower pressure wasnt the best, but its a hotel after all. Bed was super comfy I didnt want to leave it! Room was clean and had everything but a fridge, which would have been nice. Overall good stay. Id definitely come again.
We stayed at this hotel because it was a fair price and it wasnt too far from the park about 5-7 minutes. Staff are very helpful when you need anything. I called them for toiletries, sheets, towels and they came very quickly. The rooms come with complimentary hot and cold breakfast which had a great variety from a Belgian waffle makes to make different types of waffles like chocolate, strawberry or the regular standard waffle with a good variety of toppings. Also hot food like sausage pattys, scrambled eggs and home fries. Donuts, muffins, cereal, toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt etc. was very satisfied. 24/7 coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Indoor pool was nice and heated and they leave towels out for you not large but enough to dry you. Rooms were decent but bathrooms need to be updated especially the tubs they looked worned out. The room wasnt bad just needed a more thoroughly cleaning like making sure underneath cabinets dont have things left from previous person staying in room and draws were emptied. overall it as a good stay I would still come back and stay here again.
We were very pleased with our stay. The reason for our visit was appointments at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The breakfast choices were great and tasty. The hospital staff had given us the name of this hotel because the hotel was on the list of ones in the area that provided shuttle service to the medical center. Unfortunately, the information was outdated as this service was not available. We would stay here in the future as long as shuttle service was not needed. However, when my husband has surgery I will be staying alone and will need the shuttle service therefore will need to look into another hotel that provides this service. The rooms were clean and comfortable and amenities were provided.
This is a very nice place to stay. We were only there for one night, so basically slept there. However, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the check in and check out process was speedy, and it is very conveniently located to Hershey Park, Troegs brewery, and other attractions in that area. We thought it was a little pricey, but because of its convenience of location near so many things, it was comparable to many of the surrounding hotels. They did serve a complimentary breakfast, but we did not go. There also is a beautiful indoor pool area that looked really nice, although we did not use it. We were very satisfied with our experience and would definitely go back again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel itself sits back in a small wooded area so you barely notice you’re in a city. A small pond has a large familyOf very friendly ducks that made the stay a blast ! We will be staying here again justTo visit our new feathered friends !
Very pleased with hotel room and pool. We were traveling with 2 adults and 3 kids. The management provided a free upgrade so we had more room than expected. The pool was very nice with a fountain. We visited in early October and I wish the pool water had been a little warmer considering it is an indoor pool. As usual with hotels the mattress was very firm. The pillows were great. The person checking us in at night recommended a local restaurant that had huge portions and the food was very good with a wide selection. The restaurant was very close to the hotel. Much better than going to a chain. We were very close to everything Hershey. The breakfast bar had many choices. Waffles came in plain and chocolate, 3 types of donuts, pastries, bread to toast, eggs cooked 2 ways, sausage, hashbrowns, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, milk, juices, coffee, hot chocolate. I would stay here again.
Overall, my family enjoyed this hotel stay. The accommodations were nice, the lobby/dining area was well presented, and the staff was friendly. It was odd to be informed that wed have to pay a few dollars more to have a room with a fridge and microwave (which we chose not to have). That seemed incongruent with the quality of this hotel and the standard amenities that nearly every hotel/motel offers these days. The only other issue was with breakfast-- it was cleaned up well before the end of the breakfast hours. Thankfully, my family had gone down earlier than me and was able to eat. However, we did enjoy that they keep ice water, coffee, & hot chocolate available 24/7 (unless they just cleaned up breakfast and have the area roped off for mopping).I would be willing to stay here again-- and I know to get to the lobby earlier if I want breakfast. :)
This is a great hotel near Hershey Park. There are many places to eat nearby. The room was great and staff was friendly. The room I had had a refrigerator and was modern and clean. The breakfast was great, lots of choices. We didn’t get to checkout the pool but it looked nice too. I also did not use the wifi as I don’t use any hotel wifi for security reasons. Overall, for half the price of Hotel Hershey/Lodge, with breakfast included, it was a very good value!
The staff is friendly, and the hotel is neat and clean. The view from the windows are nice as it is far enough off the highway that you dont have to see / hear the traffic. The hotel doesnt have an exercise room. You have to go around the block to a nearby gym. I would like to see a little wider array for breakfast. Bacon would be welcome. Or sausage links. The sausage patties were not very good.
We loved the hotel, the friendly staff and breakfast each morning. This was especially great before heading to Hershey Park. However, having thew pool closed one morning (which wasnt the hotels fault) was disappointing as it was our sons birthday and thats what he wanted to do. But we took it in stride and had a movie and exploring day.
Took my 2 grandsons age 9 and 10, location was perfect, right off main road, just a few lights up the street to Hershey attractions. Lots of great food choices right near the hotel, everything very convenient. Hotel in a private setting off of the highway, beautiful landscape, ducks all around, kids loved that. Pool has awesome hours early morning until very late at night. Breakfast was really great, many choices, good food. We had the room with the mini fridge and microwave, worth the extra few bucks. In room safe fit my latop and the playstation. Cannot say enough about the friendly staff, this was an awesome hotel, we will be going back to hershey next year and will definitely stay here again !
This was a very nice, clean, and friendly place to stay during what appeared to be the off-season for the Hershey area. I was there on a business trip, so I wasnt in the hotel for long. But it was clean, comfortable, and easy to get around. The staff was helpful, friendly, and informative. Didnt use the pool, or fitness area. The breakfast was standard and nice. Had some yogurt with waffles which were quality for hotel breakfast.
The family suite was perfect for our needs -- a bedroom with a queen bed and a general area with two doubles, sharing a bathroom. Its SO hard to find a room set-up like this and I appreciate that Comfort Inn had it. Our room was located directly behind the elevator but was VERY quiet. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were soft. The pool is basic but perfectly suitable for the kids. Breakfast was plentiful. Location to HersheyPark, restaurants and main thoroughfares couldnt be better. The hotel would do itself a favor by providing better signage that theyre there! Its located (literally) behind trees and not easily seen from the highway. Even after you turn onto the access street, its a bit of a guess as to how to get there, as theres only a very small Comfort Inn sign hanging on the fence.
The hotel seemed very nice. Room was clean and the staff was pleasant. Not sure if it was just our room, but there was not a dresser to put clothes in...only two small drawers. Not enough for a family of four. Hot breakfast was nice, but everything was exactly the same for the weekend. A little variety would be nice. Overall, a great stay.
This is my go to place to stay while visiting Hershey park. The price is reasonable, the pool is a very good size compared to other comparable hotels in the area Ive stood in the past. Breakfast is FREE, good, hot, and they have a good variety of items. Rooms are clean, updated and beds are comfortable. The front desk staff is always friendly, and helpful. Its close to the park and theres a shopping center across the street and up the hill. With different food options close by. Ever since my first stay a couple of years ago, Ive kept coming back. Never disappointed.
The hotel has become very run down in a short amount of time. Our room had the smoke detector hanging from the wall. Half of the electrical outlets in the room didn’t work including the ones to the microwave and refrigerator. The shower drain backed up with water as soon as you started it. The next morning at breakfast 2 of the 4 waffle irons weren’t working and by 7:30 am a lot of the food was gone and the staff didn’t replenish anything. The elevator also broke while we were there. It was very disappointing. I warned other people who had upcoming reservations to cancel and go somewhere else. The only positive about the hotel is it’s proximity to hersheypark.
The hotel staff provided a level of service that we would typically expect at a luxury hotel or resort. Every person we dealt with was friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating. The hotel itself was clean, updated, and very nice. Everything worked properly. Although it was adjacent to a major intersection, the surrounding trees and pond made it feel secluded and quiet. Outstanding hotel for the price. I cannot say enough good things about this place!
The Comfort In was very nice. The hotel and rooms were clean, the included breakfast was very nice, and the staff was friendly. Its also very close to Hersheypark and other attractions. Two minor gripes: the beds were a little harder than I like and the air system has a weird feature that doesnt allow the A/C to start if the temp outside is below 55 degrees. It was below 55 while we were there and consequently, the room got a little too warm for our tastes. I was able to get some cool air going after a while, but it took some playing with the system. But those things are minor, as I said. Given the proximity to the attractions in the area and general quality of the hotel, I would stay here again.
A group of us stayed at this hotel for a lacrosse tournament. Originally we were booked further away, but at the last minute changed to the Comfort Inn at the Park. We couldnt have been more pleased! They gave us a group rate which was comparable to other nearby hotels, but added a full free breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and accommodating. Breakfast was done nicely and our kids loved the 24 hour hot drink bar in the lobby. We didnt have time to use the pool, but it looked very nice and well kept. Hershey Park is minutes away and we were easily able to access it with no problems. Loved that the hotel is within walking distance of KMart, grocery store and strip mall.
This hotel was just right. Good price, got a 2 room suite 1 queen 2 double beds fit 6 just fine. My floor was quiet, I was put in a room right next to the elevator and never heard any noise from the elevator and only one morning heard some kids outside while they waited for the elevator. The pool is nice and a big compared to other places Ive stood in the past. The free breakfast is good, does its job. Ppl cant expect gourmet food for free. Everything was good and fresh, eggs, potatoes, sausage were fresh and replenished as needed. They have 4 waffle machines that were always busy as well as toast, yogurts muffins, ect... I wish the breakfast times were different or at least until 9:30 /10 am. Everyone rushes down at 8:30 to get breakfast b4 the cutoff, maybe if it was later there wouldnt be that mad dash. Overall would recommend to others, and will be back next year on our annual hershey trip.
When I checked in the front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I was very satisfied with this hotel and would definitely stay again. The room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The internet is not reliable though. We kept losing connection and would have to log on again. The free breakfast was very good and they did a great job of keeping things stocked! The location was very convenient to get around Hershey and to the attractions. The only down side to this hotel is that you have to pay $10 per night to have a mini fridge put in your room. One other thing....watch out for the ducks. There were quite a few of them that used the small pond right next to the hotel and they would lay on the blacktop parking lot. We had to get out of the vehicle a number of times to shoo them out of the way. They are cute, but it can be a bother. We were afraid that someone would not notice them and run some over. Maybe the hotel should put up a higher chain link fence around the parking area closest to the pond so they can not get in that area? When getting to the road to get to hotel, make sure you make a quick right turn next to the small Choices Hotel sign on the fence. We missed it and had to turn around in the Panera Bread parking lot.
I had an excellent stay in this hotel. I was provided with a clean, quiet place to rest when I came back from my 12 hour shift at Hershey Med center. I was stuck in the snow for several days, as I live one hour away from work and needed a place to stay. The heated pool and free breakfast in the morning was a great way to relax after my shift and was very convenient. My room was clean and quiet and provided everything I needed. The close proximity to a large shopping center with grocery stores and restaurants was a plus. Beautiful surroundings and helpful staff made this a great stay. They even gave me a discount for being a med center employee.
I was staying at the Comfort Inn while I interviewd at Penn State Hershey Childrens Hospital. It was a great hotel and the staff members were very kind and courteous! There was a great continental breakfast in the morning and a shuttle service that took us to and from our dinner and interview. The room was very clean and had a nice decor. The only things I would change is that the entrance needs a much larger sign so that the hotel is easier to located. I believe this was a product of construction, so I am sure this will be better in the future. I would also recommend putting the televisions on a swivel so you can get the right angle from the couch and bed.
I stayed here with family on a recent trip to Hershey. Ive stayed at many Hershey hotels and I liked this one best. The location is great, close to the park and walking distance to Paneras and Kmart. The included breakfast is great and had hot items like eggs and waffles. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Wifi is good and free. This is Hershey so you cannot avoid kids, but you might ask to be on a floor without big school groups if possible. There were lots at the hotel but we were on a separate floor so no problems.Loved feeding the ducks on property.
The only reason I give this hotel a four star and not a five star review is because it needs a serious renovation. Bring it up to date and this will be one of the best places to stay! It is QUIET...which is awesome. Breakfast room is large...but with as many people that use it - like the entire hotel - they need a lot more space...and moved away from the front desk. It gets so loud you cannot hear the clerk...at all....not even when the phone rings. I am serious. Other than that...great place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The ducks are great!
The hotel was great, inexpensive and super close to everything. The front desk staff were GREAT we had to switch our room and they were helpful , did not give us a hard time and the room we were switched to was perfect. They had complimentary Hot breakfast so not just bagels it was good. 5 minutes from Hershey park and lots of restaurants in the immediate area. If i am ever coming back to Hershey this is where I will stay.
My family of three stay at the Comfort Inn at the Park every December so we can enjoy a weekend in Hershey. This was our sixth stay at this hotel. Every year before I make our reservation I look at the cost of the Hershey properties and compare price and features versus the Comfort Inn. Every year I stick with the Comfort Inn. Not only is the cost better, I prefer the smaller sized hotel. It is a mid priced hotel with the needed features to help make our family weekend away fun: a small indoor pool, free hot breakfast, free coffee available 24 hours a day, extremely friendly staff. The location is great too, just about two miles from Hershey Park and Chocolate World. My family loves visiting with the ducks in the pond out front and my son has even named the ducks! The only negative feedback I have is the wifi quality. It was hard to get a connection. For a family stay, the Comfort Inn is perfect....reasonably priced, great location, free breakfast.
Location was perfect, so close to Hershey Park and alot of restaurants and shopping. Pool was great, breakfast was good and rooms were clean and well kept. Air conditioning was loud and did not work well and our room was directly in front of the elevator which was a bit annoying. The hotel was so quiet though and feeding the ducks was an added bonus.
We ended up at this hotel at the recommendation of a wedding planner. All other recommendations this planner had provided were excellent, so we had high expectations for this hotel. It was adequate. But it was not the experience for which wed hoped. The price was driven by the proximity to tourist attractions and high demand by sports teams. Ive paid less for five star accommodations and better-appointed rooms.
Overpriced hotel for the quality. Room had cobwebs in corners, sheets had stains, bathroom and shower were dirty, toilet water was hot at times. Breakfast area didnt have enough seats. Staff didnt ask how our stay was when we checked out. Location was one of the few acceptable things about the stay. If I had to stay longer than 3 nights I would have gone to a different hotel.
This is a nice property close to Hersey Park, and was a very pleasant visit. The breakfast had good options, beds were comfortable, and shower was nice. The only drawback we found to the room was the very poor cable service. The price was also inflated for the dates we were staying, but off dates are very reasonably priced.
From the ducks to the staff everyone was helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the softness/firmness of the pillows were great. Breakfast was very good with strawberry waffles. Everything was great overall except one very minor thing in that the room key card wouldnt work on the side door for entrance after dusk. We had to park on the side and walk around to the front. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to everyone.
Rooms are old and out datred-no usb ports(most hotels have them) lighting poorbathroom door needs painting. Pool not working.Breakfast fruit lacking, old applHard time controlling tempature in room.Breakfast fruit lacking, old apples and orangesAll of this is OK if if is a budget price. The price was comparable to other hotels in area. I had stayed here years ago and it was very nice then.
I was very pleased with my stay at the Comfort Inn in Hershey/Hummelstown. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and pleasant. Although I was short on time, the pool looked very inviting. I lived in Hershey for most of my life and have made several trips home in the last six months. My stay at the Comfort Inn was far superior to the other hotels that I stayed in when I traveled home. I will definitely be staying there again!
Great family hotel. Clean and accommodating. It is a great hotel close to the park will not break the bank. They offer a full spread breakfast for free. They have ducks as there is a little stream by the hotel. The kids loved the ducks as it added a little charm. Highly recommended for a family and the indoor pool is a plus.
We have stayed here multiple times when visiting Hersheypark and it’s wonderful. Rooms are nice and comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and the indoor pool is great if you have a rainy day or kids who love to swim. It’s so close to Hersheypark too! Will definitely be back. There was no food in the feeder for the ducks though, so that was a bummer. We love the little colony of ducks that lives at the lake on the property.
Nice hotel for a family of 5. There were 2 queen size beds (better than full in most hotels) There was also a small pull out couch, again great for our family of 5. Fun pool area. Good breakfast, very crowded but very helpful staff working very hard to keep everything full. Very close to Hershey. Have stayed here before, would stay again.
Its solid, but starting to show its age. The breakfast in the morning is really good. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, pastry, and waffles are a great addition and help save money on a trip. The rooms are mostly clean, but we had a towel with marks on it and some cobwebs and bugs in the corner. Our refrigerator also made a pretty loud noise that was a little distracting when sleeping. Most of those things could be easily remediated, so its a little disappointing. But we werent at the hotel much for our 2-night trip so it wasnt a big deal. We have frequented this hotel in the past and used to not even look at others in the area, but we will take a look at the competition for next trip.
If your looking for a place to stay that’s not too far from Hershey I guess this would work. I really wasn’t happy with most of the staff at this hotel who seem to be bothered by any questions that were asked and as though you were disturbing them especially early in the morning when you went downstairs for the breakfast. I don’t like the sign that says that they will only give you fresh towels if you ask I’m paying to be there and paying for three rooms and I expect fresh towels in each room every day.
A great place to stay. Comfy rooms. Easy access. Plenty of parking. Breakfast room is spacious. Good selection of food items. Day long coffee is always welcome. Friendly and courteous staff.Breakfast staff are attentive. Hot food always available. Breakfast room always cleaned after tables become open. While I have never seen anyone leave a tip for the breakfast staff, I always personally present one of the folks with some money. Its not much, $2-3 per day, I always tell them how much I appreciate what they do.
My wife and I travel a lot in the U.S. and Europe. This hotel is a good as any chain hotel weve ever stayed at. The front desk people were very professional. We were especially pleased with the women who ran the breakfast area. The breakfast area was spotless, and well maintained. They were personable, happy, and very willing to talk up this hotel. The food was as good, if not better, then other chain hotels weve stayed at. We stayed here last year, and will be back again next year. We have not been here when they are extremely busy, so I cant comment on that.
I would highly recommend this hotel-felt like home. The staff members were extremely friendly, accommodating and efficient, and the price is very reasonable. Rooms were clean and had every amenity I could think of, including a fridge/microwave and free Wifi. There is a free hot breakfast every morning with tons of food choices and free coffee/hot chocolate/tea all the time. Honestly, I think this hotel is the best way to do Hershey-minutes away from the park/Chocolate World as well as the downtown restaurants/bars. Would definitely stay here again!
This hotel is located a couple of miles from Hershey Park. The hotel has a pool and offers free use of the Golds gym located just down the street. Breakfast offerings are typical of most hotels. Free Wi-Fi. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a very small pond with ducks and geese that hang around and can make it challenging to enter and exit the parking lot. We stayed for 3 nights. Everything was great. The only problem was when we checked out and was charged $6.95 for use of the phone. We called across the street to Papa Johns to order a pizza on the first night a total of 4 minutes. In the blue binder in the room it stated that local calls are free for the first 20 minutes then $1.00 after that. The staff was polite and took that off our bill and the $1.00 a night charge for the safe since we did not use the safe. But on our credit card we have yet to be credited the $9.95 almost a week later. My advice is review your bill carefully and check to make sure you are charged correctly. All in all had a good experience at this hotel and would stay there again.
Daily rate is high. Hotel rooms could use some upgrading or refreshing. No exercise room. Breakfast menu was given much needed attention and the result was enjoyable. Ducks in the pond are fun for the kids to feed! Bathroom tub had a ring around it. :( Hotel is convenient to baseball fields, outlets, Hershey Park and it is nice that it situated by itself and not along the road. We love the location, but, are not interested in the high rate!
I spent the night at this Inn while on a visit to Hershey Chocolate World. My son stayed with me. I found it to be very nice. The location is back from traffic and peaceful. The park setting had ducks and geese and was enjoyable to stroll around. The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and easy to sleep. Although we didnt require any special help from the staff they were friendly and efficient at check-in and check-out.I would stay here again if I returned to this area.

2022-04-03Convenient location. Great staff!!! Free breakfast! Clean! Pretty quiet (though depends on possible events, floor, and proximity to elevator). Only major downfall is theres not a microwave in the room, but theres one in the lobby

2022-03-30Nice hotel with a friendly staff. Someone always at the desk and greeted incoming people. Continental breakfasts were adequate. Wish trash hadn’t been left in the room until I had to set it in the hallway.

2022-03-26We stayed 2 nights in Hershey & 2 nights in Scranton. Both hotels were very nice. All the employees were friendly and the rooms were very nice. I liked the coffee and tea available all day in Hershey. The rooms in Scranton seemed nicer.

2022-03-01Positive: Breakfast was a bonus, room was large and clean. My kids loved the fun artwork on the walls. Negative: Wish the pool had been open. We booked for this reason.

2022-06-03I was putting names on my reservation for a block of rooms I pre scheduled 5 months in advance and Garin helped me with the process. During one of the waiting periods in the conversation I overheard her complaining to a colleague about me while I was on the phone! She then quickly put me on hold when she realized that I could hear everything. She was very snarky and spoke back to me. For example, I was spelling a name of my guest and she cut me off and said I know how to spell. Her tone was very rude and honestly it made me regret even booking rooms at this hotel. The past 5 months have been filled with confusion and miss communication from the staff! I would never recommend this place to anyone!

2022-04-27The staff is very pleasant. The room is clean. We like how it is close to the hospital yet not in the hubbub of the traffic.
