The hotel room was nice and the bed was comfortable. My main complaint is about the food! When we arrived they mentioned breakfast was from 7-9am, but that was just the morning hours for the restaurant. You have to pay for the breakfast and It was expensive. I purchased dinner for $30 for 1 person and received soggy wings and a margherita pizza with canned tomatoes. The wings were in a clear, plastic, definitely not microwaveable container, but I overheard the staff talking about heating the wings up more because they weren’t cooked enough In the microwave. When I got it, the plastic underneath was melted to the wings. I couldn’t eat them. Also, the pool and whirlpool were closed which wasn’t mentioned at the desk when we checked in so that was disappointing too. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep, it’s not bad, but if you’re looking for a place to enjoy yourself, this may not be it.
Every staff member was courteous, helpful, and welcoming!Mchelle, the manager was particularly helpful to me in securing the rooms I needed for my nieces wedding. She exemplifies the Marriott brand on every level of customer service. I have been a member for years both for business and pleasure. People like Mchelle are the reasons for that loyalty! Thanks to all for making our family event an enjoyable experience!!Kathleen A
As always, the Marriott family continues to deliver on exceptional service and more. Maybe I’m swayed by spending time in a student run Courtyard, maybe I’m swayed because my stay yesterday at the Holliday Inn Bensalem was a polar opposite experience, but the check in process was quick, multiple staff members were at the desk to greet and assist guests, the room was clean, and the staff was very welcoming, despite the clear hustle and bustle of a crowded lobby.Jim was especially kind in informing us that check in was not for a few hours (which we knew but just had to get out of the last place) and could be placed on a wait list until the room was ready. Before he could finish that process, a room had been marked clean and we were able to check in, which meant the staff in the sold out hotel were already hard at work.I have great appreciation for quality service and look forward to future stays at Marriott properties.
I cannot stress enough how awful our stay was here. We had a block of rooms set up since February for my little sisters wedding. The bridal party, bride & parents of the bride had booked these rooms immediately after confirming the room block. We talked multiple times to guest services that we would be able to check in late as we were coming from the rehearsal dinner. Myself (maid of honor), 4 bridesmaids, the bride and parents of the bride arrived to check in and were told there were no rooms for us as the hotel was over booked, even though we had booked our rooms back in February and confirmed a late check in. This is unacceptable for anyone but especially for a bride the evening before her wedding. On top of this issue the hotel ran out of clean towels, water bottles, soap and many other items to ensure our guests that traveled in for this wedding were set up properly. We also had 3 of our guests given room keys to rooms that old guests had not checked out of yet. One of our guests had a broken shower and when they told the staff on duty they were basically told “oh well.” The GM did not offer any solutions for reimbursement after the fact even though us and our guests paid thousands of dollars to spend the weekend there. As an event coordinator I have never been so appalled by the lack of solutions, leadership and empathy by an industry that is supposed to provide amazing customer service. If you are planning a wedding in the area please do not book your wedding block here. I never want any other bride to go through what my sister had to.
Thank you Teyha Anderson and Jeannine Bates for your wonderful hospitality and for your assistance with booking the banquet room for my grandmothers 100th birthday celebration. Another nearby hotel cancelled our banquet room reservation about three weeks before our scheduled event and did not bother to notify us. We appreciate you being able to accomodate and assist us. The banquet room was perfect and our rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would also like to thank Teyha Anderson for going above and beyond to help me unload my bags and other items from my vehicle and then carry them to my room. Thank you also for the excellent customer service and hospitality.
We booked our first block for a September wedding in February. We filled all blocks with reservations and confirmed that late check in was okay. The evening before the wedding, our bride’s room as well as 5 other very important rooms have been booked to someone else and the hotel reports there is nothing they can do about it. All of these people were forced to go to another hotel and then needed to come back and borrow space in other people’s rooms for their belongings because all accommodations for the wedding had been setup for the Courtyard Marriot, not the other hotel. I don’t understand how their rooms were given away before end of business day and it would have been nice to know that the reservation means nothing. It’s still first come first serve apparently.
We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for my wedding weekend and we had a great stay! Every request was filled quickly. The staff was very friendly and kind. We needed a stool for makeup and the staff member brought it up with minutes. The room was clean and ready when we arrived. Thank you for such a great experience! It made for a great weekend!
Female sunglasses were found on the desk chair so the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. Wifi was super slow. Bathroom towels were very worn and needed to be replaced. No drain cover for tub or sink. Bridal party next door was loud and I had to call the front desk twice. I brought this to the managers attention the next morning. All he had to say was that they couldn’t get supplies due to a backlog and he couldn’t find employees to work Don’t stay here if you expect the comfort and service advertised by Marriott. What a circus!
Please read the fine print then reread it again. Our room was not thoroughly cleaned and I went to the front staff twice no one cleaned what I showed them. And yes someone actually came to the room with me so I could point out what was wrong. No continental breakfast for the price, and the bistro is not worth it. Thankfully there are tons of restaurants nearby. Nearly everyone in our group complained about how hard the mattress was. It was a large group if us for a wedding.
Great stay. Front staff was able to get us in a bit early as an early check in. This came in handy so we can get ready before the reception. A special kudos to the breakfast staff. They were overwhelmed and understaffed and yet they made us a great meal with the upmost customer service. They were kind and friendly during a stressful time. Good job
Our daughter’s wedding was originally scheduled for Aug. 2020. From before that date, to the new recent date, staff on all levels worked to provide us with a great experience. From taking care of our needs for our 2 in-house events (a dinner and hair/makeup day) to our wedding block of rooms, to every other thing we threw at them, they were professional and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their stay in pretty comfortable rooms too.
Stayed 5 days as a couples getaway. Location is safe, close to Parx Casino!. Rooms and common areas very clean, staff was friendly and parking readily available. Check in was easy. The gym was a bit small, only one treadmill worked and there was just one bench and assorted dumbbells, but we made it work. Overall, I highly recommend staying here and will return. I am a frequent traveler and enjoyed the hotel.
My daughters wedding was cancelled last year as a result of the pandemic. Having already made arrangements with vendors we had to scurry around to cancel and try to rebook. The people at the Marriott were the easiest and most accommodating of all of the vendors. They understood the stress involved in our situation and made it easy for us to plan new dates and reserve a block of rooms in addition to space for a rehearsal dinner and bride ready room, and the hotel shuttle to the wedding site. Throughout the year they returned calls and emails quickly to answer our questions and address our concerns. During the entire process we felt we were in good hands. The wedding happened this past weekend and it could not have gone better. Everything happened just as was planned. The rooms are very nice, clean spacious and newly renovated. All the of employees from front desk to maintenance people to bartenders went above and beyond to address our needs .If you are having a wedding in the area, or any function, we would highly recommend the Courtyard by Marriott in Bensalem .
Stains all over the floors in and outside the room. Asked for 5 pillows was staying for a hip replacement next am at 530. Took them till almost 10 pm after checking in at 330 4. 4 of the pillows were still wet and unusable were soaking thru the sheets. Was too tired and in too much pain to get up to call. Bed was comfortable. It was Sunday and not able to watch one game on the TV.
Very nice place the design is different from other places we have stayed. Very good use of hiding objects in the design. The tv also pivots in the room making it easy to see it no matter where youre seated. They had 3 channels for kids that I was able to find Disney, ff and Nickelodeon. The bathroom had a shower stall and a shower head with a few setting options. The room had a few minor things that was missed from housekeeping but overall clean. The pool is unfortunately still closed but the exercise room was open. They also have a little market area where you can buy a quick bite an drink. We stayed on the 1st floor which is really convenient but beware of possible creatures. We had a centerpied show up in the bathroom. The overall experience was very good and comfortable with a great layout. Would definitely go back.
This is a really nice hotel but there were a few things that didnt go well during our stay. in our room there were two lamps that did not work. in our bathroom the sink was clogged and we had to call the front desk 3 times to come fix it. it was not fixed so we had to switch rooms and was charged a higher price for the room we were change to. we should not have had to pay any extra for the second room given the it was not our fault the sink was broken.
Nicely upgraded hotel. Rooms were large and clean and appeared recently upgraded. Couple of issues (broken toilet paper holder in our bathroom for example) but overall nice rooms. Food options a bit limited, but could be result of recent exit from Covid protocols. Service, particularly the front desk, was outstanding. Went above and beyond to take care of a few small issues and make sure we were well taken care of.
We booked a hotel block for our wedding, and the entire staff was great! Being able to use the hotels banquet room as a getting ready room in the morning was great! All of the ladies got to hang out all morning. The beds were comfortable, and the suite we set up for the guys was spacious. The bar manager at the end of the night went above and beyond for our after party! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing a hotel block!
From my arrival at 2.30 a.m. on Friday morning after a long day of traveling and the young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The housekeeping staff was also very pleasant and accommodating. I only did breakfast from the Bistro and had no issues. Pleasant stay overall.
Room was great. Very clean and comfortable. Great location for a nearby wedding. Breakfast was subcontracted through Starbucks.... a HUGE miss. Starbucks Staff was sour and unable to fill basic coffee order. Ordered a scone and they fussed about not using the display one that was sitting on the counter within everyone’s touch. Rotten attitude and customer service. Unfortunately a poor reflection on a stellar Courtyard experience. Will not add breakfast option to my room stay in the future.
I was disappointed that you don’t offer continental breakfast. Our rooms weren’t cleaned for the 3 days I was there. We had to ask for clean washcloths and towels. People was charged differently even though we checked in and out on the same day. Your website didn’t explain about the extra $20 a day fee. We found that out at check in. Also some of our party was told about that fee and some weren’t. It seems that your some of your staff need to be more knowledgeable. If I came back to PA I don’t wouldn’t use you again or refer anyone else.
I was extremely disappointed with my stay. This was nit my first time staying with the Marriott corp of hotels and they have always provided continental breakfast, this one did not, there was a cost for a messily selection, there was dirt all on my bathroom door I made two complaints no one came, I did not have towels in my room upon arrival, one roll if toilet tissue, hairpins left on the floor from previous occupants
During my stay I had some financial issues occur with billing from our stay, Gabrielle and Michelle were able to help me address any and all concerns as they arose. The stuff in general, with the exception of one individual, we are incredibly helpful and responsive. The hotel overall was clean and the rooms were tidy.
The Courtyard in Bensalem staff were pleasant. There were lots of chairs and couches and coffee tables to accommodate our guests who met up here from the wedding venue. The bar was open. Our room was clean and modern and the bed was very comfortable I’d highly recommend staying here.
My experience with this Courtyard Marriott was absolutely atrocious. I booked a room here for 2 nights as part of a wedding block (a wedding of which I was in the bridal party) in February 2021. Upon arrival to the Marriott after the rehearsal dinner on Friday, me and 10 others (6 rooms in total) in the wedding party INCLUDING THE BRIDE HERSELF were informed our rooms were given away due to some “corporate mishap” and that our only option was to stay in another hotel for the night. It is important to note that the family had previously booked a get ready room at the Courtyard Marriott, arranged transportation to/from the wedding from the Courtyard Marriott, and had vendors arriving early in the morning to the Courtyard Marriott for hair/makeup for the bridal party who were NO LONGER STAYING IN THE HOTEL. Also important to note there was NO reachout on behalf of the Courtyard Marriot to any of the guests who were “walked” to inform us of the “overbooking” situation. The bride was extremely upset upon hearing this from the Courtyard Marriott staff and spent most of the night in tears. The strangest thing was that after checking in to the other hotel we had been “walked” to at the end of the night - I informed the receptionist of the situation and he kindly let me know this was not an unusual situation for the Courtyard Marriott. This kind of thing “happened all the time with that hotel”.All in all, it was absolutely unacceptable. The only compensation we received was a refund on the first night’s stay at the Courtyard Marriott and I do NOT think that is sufficient to cover the distress caused by this situation - ESPECIALLY for a bride on the night before her wedding. :-(
We had picked this location because we had stayed at a Marriott in DC. Our stay could not have been better. Anything we requested was handled within minutes. Our wedding party and guests were treated with respect and kindness. Thank you for a great trouble free experience
Ive Been To Many A Marriott Hotel But This Is By Far The Very Best Experience I Have For Work Related & Individual Relaxation Stays..The Staff Is Awesome, The beds Are Super Comfy & The Host CRIS Is My Favorite Of All Time... Attention To Detail & Welcoming To Say The least..
Well I’m usually not one to write a negative review but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future. I did a lot of research for a nice hotel in the area for my wedding only to find out they gave us the wrong rooms and then could not accommodate us because they had another group book the rooms we did after the fact... There was also a strong smell of marijuana throughout the entire hotel, noisy/rowdy people (who the hotel refused to say anything to when mentioned), and the room had a sticky substance on the walls. Could not sleep the entire night because the people above our room were running around until almost 4am (the staff also refused to say anything to them). We were promised we could use the outdoor patio for cooking afterwards only to find out the grills did not work. Overall it was not a great experience.
The Marriott is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and service is very good. The weddings are beautiful but it’s the party after the wedding watch your cars mine was scratched in the handicap Parking . I don’t understand why people have to do that but hatred is very high all around.
The hotel was clean. In the other Marriotts they have the five pack of the antibacterial wipes. This location however only had a alcohol type swab packet. Also, I had requested that they dont remove the towels by using the door hanger, but yet my towel was taken away and not replaced. My cousins were in room 226 and they didnt have toilet paper. They had to actually go downstairs to the front desk to get toilet paper because they were told that unfortunately they couldnt bring it up to them.
The rooms are clean and in compliance with Marriott standard. Consistently courteous staff, competitively priced (considering its a heavily populated area), and my personal favorite is that its right across street road from Parx casino. Ive stayed there about 11 nights total and can honestly say I havent had cause for complaint yet.
Overall just fair. Very basic. Hand sanitizer stations out entire time- even after advising staff. Computers and printers non- functional. Controllers for TVs in lobby were out where everyone could grab one- which means sanitary conditions were not great. Starbucks coffee availability was good.
Stayed here for a week for work, location was great as it was near to many facilities and restaurants but the hotel is in a very quiet spot. There was no external noise at all and the trees and grass make you feel you are staying in a park. Added to this the hotel was very smart and rooms were perfect for this category of hotel
I was extremely disappointed in our stay. My children were in room 236 and there was no soap bars. My son had to go and ask the front desk for soap. My wife and I were in room 333 which had a broken cold water handle in the bathroom sink so that only hot water worked and there was no shampoo bottles provided. We asked to switch rooms the next day and were given room 314. The paneling on the side of the table under the TV was damaged and needed to be replaced in room 333 and room 314. But room 314 was a major disaster since the toilet bowl was clogged with toilet paper and excrement and we immediately requested another room. We were reassigned to room 313 which was missing an ironing board and had only one soap bar which we decided to live with. It was quite obvious that these rooms were not maintained properly and were not suitable for guests.
I have over $900 of pending charges for a two night stay I booked over a year ago and no one has called once to help me fix it. I am beyond insulted. I have spoken with two helpful associates by the names of Gabrielle and Michelle (who I believe is a manager herself and who I would have liked to have spoken with before escalating this matter to a review). Unfortunately the same person responsible for charging me multiple different times also told me her managers would be in later this evening and would call me back. This was a lie (I called and they are not scheduled until Monday).I have worked in customer service all my life. I understand when mistakes happen. My issue is more so the fact that I was not told another billing error occurred on my card by the same person for the same charge while I was standing right in front of her when it happened. At a MINIMUM I should have been made aware of the billing issues. Again, I would have liked to speak with a manager about this issue before escalating, but it seems my hands are tied as no one has called or reached back out to me and the only helpful associate I’ve spoken with since (again, thank you Gabrielle) has told me she no longer has access to my account. This one associate has made a mess of my billing beyond belief.
I’m still here… sadly hotel is not 3 star but 2-2.5 star. The rooms are not cleaned well; this is a room you can tell would fail the black light test. There was nail polish on the blanket & nail polish on the sofa. A dried fluid ring on the night stand, no hand soap. We checked into our room and went straight to Parx instead of inspecting and I spent at least 30min cleaning and trying to get comfortable when I got back to the room at about 4am. Staying for two nights, literally asked them not to clean out of fear they’d unclean. The pool has been drained by the way. 😕Oh no! I dropped my water top under the bed 😩 I didn’t go and get it because if it wasn’t spotless under there I was checking out at 5:30am!
My experience with this Courtyard Marriott was absolutely atrocious. I booked a room here for 2 nights as part of a wedding block (I was in the bridal party) in February 2021. Upon arrival to the Marriott after the rehearsal dinner on Friday, September 24th, me and a dozen others (6 rooms in total) in the wedding party INCLUDING THE BRIDE HERSELF were informed our rooms were given away due to some “corporate mishap” and that our only option was to stay in another hotel for the night. I do not recommend planning an event with this hotel. Look elsewhere.
This hotel was a disaster. Staff had no idea how to fix any of the issues that came up (the whole hotel ran out of hand soap and they didn’t want to do anything about it. After a lot of convincing from other guests, management went out and purchased some but it was met with an attitude). The woman who worked over night was extremely rude as well. Our toilet did not work, very early morning the day of check out and we were told since maintenance was not working yet, nothing could be done.
The staff is amazing, very friendly and responsive. The food is terrible!! The bed was extremely uncomfortable and definitely they have a lot of room for improvement in the cleaning area, I left with a rash from all the dust in the room , the bathroom was not properly cleaned and I got hives from the pillows idk what it was but I was so itchy all the time I asked them to change the sheets. It could have been the detergent or something. Idk but I am never going back .
Overall, my stay was pretty alright. There were some things that bothered me though. My boyfriend and I had to wait for a little over 2 hours for our room to be ready after checking in online. And when we got to the front desk, the woman working was a bit snappy when we mentioned our wait. When leaving and checking out, there was a different woman working and she was on her phone so we had to wait a bit for her to notice us so we could check out. Besides these things, everything was pretty good and the stay was okay.
The banquet room was perfect and our guest rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would also like to thank Teyha Anderson for going above and beyond to help me unload my bags and other items from my vehicle and then carry them to my room. Thank you also for the excellent customer service and hospitality.
Our microwave and refrigerator did not work along with the majority of the lights and outlets along the same wall and the outlet in the bathroom. When we alerted staff, we were told that it was likely a breaker got flipped, but they didnt know which breaker it would be in order to fix it. Also, we were told no other rooms were available that night to move us into. We had to request an iron as there wasnt one already in the room. The next day, I had to get ready for a wedding sitting on the bed since the bathroom outlet didnt work. I had very dim lighting since half the lights didnt work and a bulb was burnt out. And I could only use the small bedside mirror since the outlets across from other mirrors didnt work. We did not have time on this day to try to move into another room as we were attending a wedding. Also, our room had a large water stain on the ceiling that ran the length of the room in addition to water damage in another section of the ceiling that had the ceiling falling apart. And the interior of the rooms door had traces of a liquid or oil over a large portion of it. The bottles of shampoo and conditioner were sitting open when we first arrived. Our stay lasted 2 nights and none of this was fixed nor were we compensated in any way for having half a working room and poor living conditions. The proverbial cherries on top included the restaurant not being open for breakfast when it was supposed to be and not being notified that the pool and spa would be drained of water for the duration of our stay.
This hotel has a serious quality control problem that stems from the management. Between the entire bridal party being kicked out of the hotel the night before a wedding, as well as my experience to follow, I have never seen a more dissorganized and unprofessional staffing situation at any Marriott-brand hotel that I have ever stayed at. After receiving access to my room after being informed that turnover was still ocurring at 4PM in the evening (check-in time), I received my room key. Upon walking into that room, I proceeded to startle a man who was simultaneously stepping into the shower; Ill let whosevers reading this imagine what I saw. Upon the man slamming the door shut, I could hear his wife/girlfriend screaming at him to lock the door from within the room as I repeatedly pushed the elevator button and prayed that it the elevator would arrive with haste. The conceirge at the desk proceeded to find me a different room while passing the blame to his superior by showing me the text that she sent him confirming the wrong room number. The next morning, housekeeping attempted to enter my room well before checkout, without knocking on the door. In conclusion: unless you want your long-standing reservation to be cancelled without warning on the day-of, walk into a room to see a naked man showering, and have housekeeping attempt to walk in on you without knocking, I would highly recommend finding a different place in this area to stay.
I jus checked into the Marriott Bonvoy and it couldn’t of been a more pleasant experience. I was greeted by both Michelle and Simone and they are two of the most pleasant, courteous and helpful people. Our room is quite nice too. I’m grateful to have been helped by both Michelle and Simone and management at Marriott should know that they are excellent at what they do and are a nice reflection of the Marriott brand. Thank them for me. Much appreciated.
The front desk clerk was unfriendly and quite rude. Our room was not yet ready for check in at 4:20 pm. The reason is because the person checking out was allowed a 4 pm checkout because “she is a ‘Member’.” I am member too - for over 20 years ! That statement hit a nerve ! Our room was not fully equipped - no bath mat, one bar of soap (for both shower and sink), no cups in bathroom, a used container of hair conditioner. We had to use a bath towel on the floor. All unacceptable !
We had to move rooms at the start of our stay because our first room smelled like a smoker was just in there. There was also no soap in the bathroom. I don’t know how a hotel lets you check in with your room not being completely ready and doesn’t do anything about it until people start complaining. I will not be back.

Customer service in Pennsylvania Marriott was horriable. I called a month ahead to see if I could book a extra night. They wouldnt let me because I booked through Sesame Place, they gave me such a hard time and wouldnt let me. Them claim to be hotel for Sesame Place. Customer service was so rude at front desk. I will never stay there again. I even said I would book regular night and all she did the customer service woman would just keep saying no. Even when I arrived they kept saying you booked through Sesame place? As if I did something wrong or it was inconvenience for them. Why would you advertise with them if its such a problem?
I was there because I was in a poker tournament at Parx casino which is directly across the street and I needed a room. It was very nice. The room was clean, the bed was nice. The couches and chairs in the room were clean. The room was spacious. It had all the amenities, even though nowadays it seems as if none of the hotels today have a microwave anymore so that was a plus. The pool was nice. The front desk wasnt really there the times I went but they were very responsive when you rang the bell so I didnt mind that. I also needed a late check out and they let me get it with no issues. Overall I enjoyed and would definitely revisit.
We booked and paid for a larger suite and were placed in a regular room. The lobby is nice. The front desk associate was very nice and funny. They have a nice bar, and we enjoyed the pool. I guess they were booked because of the casino? Its a decent hotel, but not what we paid for.
Well, we had to request clean wash clothes Nasty. Upon arrival inspected the room. Those washcloths were fit, for a cleaning Rag. Stingy on the towels and washcloths ask for few more. Had to call for toilet paper roll 2 bathroom use done. I assume its the Covid Pandemic shortages. Outside of all that the front end and staff was very nice. I would give them another chance. Thanks!!!
We were hosting a wedding nearby for 250 guests and this Marriott reserved a block of rooms for us. Their service was extraordinary - providing information and welcoming our guests. The staff was warm and friendly and extremely responsive to requests and questions. It was a great location for NE Philadelphia area and lower Bucks County. The rooms were comfortable and the Marriott kept their bar area open several extra hours for an after-party. I dont know of any hotel that could have done a better job welcoming our guests and setting up space for our welcome party and after wedding brunch. We are so grateful.
The hotel is a short 10-minute drive from the Philadelphia North East Airport. Downtown Philadelphia is about a 30–40-minute drive. There are many restaurants within a five-minute walk. The Parx Casino is a 10-minute walk or short Uber Ride. The staff was kind and got me my room early. They even allowed a late checkout. The lobby was open with social distancing and masks worn at all times. The room was clean and modern. I like lounge that also converted to a sofa bed. The bed and linens were soft and comfortable. The bathroom had a modern open stand-up shower. The free WIFI in the room was fast enough for surfing.Other Amenities:- Microwave and mini fridge in the room- Fitness room with free weights and cardio machines- Bag breakfast (muffins, water and an apple)- Laundry room- Indoor pool and spaThe hotel has a mask wearing policy and many sanitizer machines around the property. The fitness room was open but one at a time. Upon completion they would sanitize the room before the next guest. The pool was closed during my stay.
First, the staff has to be commended for their professionalism and courtesy. Every staff member greeted me like I was family and welcome, very few hotels get this right and this hotel did.I was impressed with the modern feel to the room and its overall layout. Internet service was good.I will have to say the cafe can use some work... took way too long to get served breakfast and it was OK to say the best.Room: it was clean... not the cleanest room i have ever been in... but you can tell housekeeping pays attention to detail. I like the overall modern feel of the room, especially the bed facing the window, which is a nice touch. There were plenty of outlets for electronics.Bed was comfortable, but a bit lumpy on one side... good not the best I have stayed in... Some points to consider...1.) room safe... room safes are a MUST in this day and age... and I would have liked it better if there was one in the room.2.) drawer space, while the modern design was nice, the space in the drawers were extremely small... could barely fit 2 days of clothing in...
I recently stayed at the Bensalem Courtyard. My check-in was lovely-- I felt like an extremely valued guest. And my evening at the hotel was more than fine-- my room was spacious and the cafe staff were wonderful and attentive. The issue was in the morning. I went to shower and there was no hot water. Having no choice, I gritted my teeth and plunged in. Upon check out, I informed the desk clerks that there was no hot water in my room-- I didnt want someone else to have to deal with that! The clerk informed me they were aware of the situation and someone was working on it. That part I understood. What floored me was their casual attitude about it. This was January. No one said they were sorry. No one offered me a discount, let alone a free cup of coffee. I was more than disappointed, especially when the rest of the staff were so amazing. I understand that things happen, but the customer service of the AM shift will make me think twice about coming back. What started out as a great stay, ended in such disappointment.
Had my room broken into while I was laying in bed on 9/1 at 11:45PM. Man working said there was a 3rd card made and he wiped all the cards associated with that room and gave me 2 new cards. When I checked out on Friday she asked how my stay was and told her what had happened. She said that she was unaware of such a thing happening.
We were in town for a bridal shower and visited the hotel for just one night (3 rooms). I had few issues with the room I had reserved and must say the front desk staff were super nice and incredibly accommodating. Im sorry I didnt get the name of the first staff who assisted me when we checked in before the event but he was very helpful. The helpdesk person who assisted me with room issues after the event was Chris M. He was kind and had a wonderful sense of humor which really made the room issues nonissues. The location was great, off the main road and all the construction yet easy to find . The only issue was the hot tub, it was overfilled and the jets werent working properly.
This hotel had the biggest bathroom with shower stall with a neat updated metal bar drain across the floor. The room was very spacious with a cozy couch that pulled out into a bed. Our room had a refrigerator with a microwave. The room was kept clean. We loved that the pool was actually heated along with the wonderful hot tub. The only thing I would of liked was a complimentary breakfast. Thank you!
The hotel and the outside area are great. We were at a wedding and everyone enjoyed both of those- including how much seating was in the lobby. The front desk receptionist was mediocre. Didn’t give us our gift bags after I stated we were there for the wedding, didn’t seem to care that the brides room didn’t close properly. He was not a problem solver or customer service friendly.
Everything was wonderful. Everyone was helpful. The rooms were wonderful. Because we were a wedding party, our check in was extensive, but the hotel staff was very accommodating and we appreciated their services. Happy hour was wonderful, as was after-hours by the bar. We really had a great time!!The only complaint is that there was no Continental breakfast, but that is a minor complaint. Overall, this was a great experience.
This hotel is extremely clean and less than two years old. The pillows are comfy as well as the bed. I often go here for a day or two when I need to breakaway from everything and everybody. I usually stay on the second level, which is super quiet and I have never had any issues with noise levels at this location. The staff is nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel.
I stayed here the weekend of 11/12. A wedding party and some other party was going on so the lobby was hopping all night...in a good way. A lot of friendly smiling people running around with a great firepit area in the back. Seems to be a great place to host a party. Very friendly and welcoming staff at the bar and at the front desk. Location of hotel is great; not far from 95 and the PA turnpike! The only thing weird that happened is that I left my room at 10:30am on Sunday for the day, returned at 5pm...and my room hadnt been touched! Bed was still unmade etc. Disappointing. I really wanted some coffee, so called the front desk and asked for some more coffee packets, and they were promptly sent up to my room. I needed a nap so didnt bother to have them clean my room at that point. It seemed pointless. Kind of disappointing. This was on a Sunday so it wasnt like the hotel was too busy, since a lot of the wedding guests etc. had checked out.
Friendly staff, nice rooms and good location make this hotel a good value. The rooms were not well stocked with toilet paper, towels, and shampoo etc when we checked in. The lobby restaurant/ coffee bar was convenient, however, the service was extremely slow. I waited one morning for about 30 minutes for a coffee. Another evening, we waited over 2 hours for our dinner. The hotel staff were very accommating and readily gave us access to function room. The internet service was free and easy to sign on.
My husband and I were in town for a wedding and stayed at this property. The room was comfortable and we loved the shower. The work out area was fine but the pool is small, which was not a problem for us but if you are traveling with kids, keep it in mind. The staff was great and we were comfortable.
I want to start this off by saying that I am a COVID bride, so the planning of our big day that we have dreamed about having has been full of adversity, tears and plan bs galore. We chose the Courtyard Marriott hotel over a year ago strictly for the location in proximity of the venue; but we truly hit the jackpot because Mark has been there to listen to complain and cry about all of the changes and in turn has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND his call of duty to create a welcome party for my guests that is going to be better than what I originally planned. He has listened to my vision and my wants and put together the most perfect soiree for our guests. We are having our rehearsal dinner and our farewell brunch at the hotel and he has mapped out every step with such attention to detail to ensure our guests feel first and foremost safe during this global pandemic, but also welcomed and appreciated by us for travelling and making our day so special! We cannot rave enough about the hotel, but specifically, Mark himself. If you are hosting an event, I suggest reaching out to Mark and his staff, and take the time to chat with him about your goals and vision and let him draw up what they can offer and I promise that he will present you with a comprehensive plan that will exceed your expectations!
The hotel itself was very nice. Conveniently located to the office I was visiting for business. Parx Casino is an added bonus - not just for gambling but for dining options as well. Room overall was very small versus other Marriott properties. Interesting setup of rooms. Bathroom was very nice and updated.
William at your front desk was amazing. We called the Courtyard after we learned that the Extended StayAmerica had to split my room request into 2 rooms because they could no longer honor our non-smoking request. When we got there, they informed us the hotel would be out of water from 9-3pm the next day. We contacted the courtyard at 9pm, asked if we could get a reservation for that night, and William accommodated us quickly. He was even able to price match one of our nights when we asked him. He was courteous when we arrived, and was very welcoming and professional. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly. From the janitors to the maids, everyone made eye contact with us and said good morning or hello as we passed them. The hotel was clean and tidy. The rooms were comfortable and the noise level was wonderfully quiet :)We especially love that your hotel is smoke-free and pet-free. Those are smells that just cant be eliminated. Our experience here as Silver Elite members has confirmed our choice to always seek out Marriotts in the future for all of my boys hockey tournaments.Thank you for such a wonderful experience. William really went above and beyond to turn our despair into a very nice weekend at a winning tournament. I cant imagine how miserable we would have been if we had stayed at the Extended Stay.
Location was very nice, right off a major road and across from the casino. Our service was very professional during our hectic overnight stay for a wedding. The rooms had everything we needed with ample outlets and areas to charge electronics. The bathrooms were also exceptionally modern and up date. Overall a great hotel.
Excellent service. The staff was very accommodating - anything we needed, they were more than happy to help. The room was very clean and comfortable. The lobby was massive - a large group from our wedding was able to hang out together after the wedding. Very convenient to highways for our out of town guests. Lots of dining options in the area.
POSITIVES I was pleasantly surprised by Courtyard as it was my first time. It was a last minute decision, for one night and we called the hotel directly. We got everything squared away in less than 10 minutes. It is a beautiful hotel and I love the decorum of the lobby. The room was very well light and spacious with a beautiful accent wall/print behind the bed. Id never something like that before and it was a very unique and nice touch to the room. The bathroom was modern, large, and clean. Walk-in shower, half opened/half glass.Free Parking.NEGATIVESThe only minor issues I had was that I was told that I could not get points for food purchases that I charged to the room. I also didnt have a menu in my room so I had to go down to the restaurant, order my food, wait for it, and then take the plates up to my room myself. *A little* inconvenient but the food was good. Best breakfast potatoes Ive ever had from a hotel.Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I would definitely go back.
We recently had a family wedding in Bensalem, PA and after viewing a few hotels decided to have our guests stay at the Marriott Courtyard. We couldnt have been happier with the rooms or the gorgeous outdoor patio space. The service was fabulous and all of the employees from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the night manager were friendly and very accommodating. We had about 120 people stay and all had a great experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I was in town for a wedding and chose this location due to its closeness to the wedding venue. I was very satisfied with the neighborhood and the upkeep of the hotel. The hotel is located off of a street that has many places to eat and about 3 miles from lots of shopping. The lobby and rooms are updated. The extra large suite was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone who is traveling with a family. The huge sofa was so comfortable that both of my college age sons fought over sleeping on it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a bag of extra blankets and extra pillows in a bag in the closet. The pool and whirlpool are indoor and well kept. The gym was very nice and up to date. The lobby was well appointed and comfortable to be in. The Bistro was very nice and Angie was a joy. She went above and beyond in her job and makes the best smoothie that I have had in a long time. Ask her to make you a blueberry and banana smoothie, which is not on the menu but is the BEST that I have ever had.We will definitely be back.
I stayed at this hotel for a weekend in July. I found the hotel staff to be very courteous. The guest room was very clean, and the decor was very nice. The bathroom and towels were clean, as well. The guest room has a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. The television worked and showed a clear picture. I do not take such things for granted when I book a hotel stay. I like everything in the hotel to be comfortable, clean, and in good working order. I also enjoyed the newness of the hotel. I highly recommend it.It appeared that the surrounding area is in the process of revitalization. As a result, there were only a few good restaurants nearby, and not many strip malls and such. A couple of shopping malls are in driving distance of the hotel. I saw some building construction, so it would be curious to see how this neighborhood looks in about a year. For those reasons, I rated the location as Fair. The hotel itself is on a nicely landscaped, quiet business street.
The good things about our stay outnumbered bad. The hotel is beautiful and clean. There was easy access to computers for guests so that I could print out my directions when needed. Rooms are large enough to accommodate my family of 5, which is a major plus. Ice machines on every floor is helpful. Also, we had a nice breakfast package and were able to order some delicious french toast from the cafe. The biggest issue we had was with the hotel pool. We specifically wanted a pool so the kids could swim for a bit. We entered the pool area on Saturday morning, 8/19. It was clear it hadnt been cleaned in a while, at least over a day. The floor was dirty and there were crumbs of some sort that had attracted ants in one area. The pool had a large amount of dead bugs and one living moth floating on the top. Thankfully my daughter wanted to swim so bad that she was willing to grab the skimmer and clean it up. Check in was quick but no one gave us our breakfast passes. It wasnt until I asked about it that they pulled my info back up and got the breakfast passes out. Not a big deal though. Lastly, I specifically requested extra towels when I booked the room on your site, also indicating that there were 5 people for this room. When we entered the room there were 3 towels and washcloths (for 5 people - why do hotels do this?). I had to call down to get more. I will say that they were super quick bringing them up. The downside is instead of bringing 2 more towels and washcloths they brought 2 towels and hand towels. We worked it out though.
Cleanliness could be a lot better. They have a serious mosquito problem if your room is close to the exit door on the sides of the building. The mosquitoes would be all over the light on top of the door and all over the walls. The mosquitoes would come into my room every time I opened it. Ended up having to ask for a new room because I woke up with a puffy eyelid and puffy cheek from getting bit. Toilet bowl was dirty. It was better going to the store to buy cleaning supplies to clean it myself, which I ended up doing. Towels didn’t feel 100% clean either. It was better to just bring my own towel, which I ended up doing my 2nd business trip here. My bedsheets had tiny blood stains on it, which grossed me out. Unfortunately I didn’t bring my own bedsheet, so I just had to deal with it. I will definitely bring my own next time, since I can’t count on the cleanliness to be up to my standards.
This hotel was wonderful. We booked a block of rooms for our wedding and all of our guests raved about the large, modern guest rooms. The lobby and grounds were also really nice. The hotel bar nicely offered to stay open late for our wedding guests. It was nice to have a place to chill and relax after the wedding. My family and I have stayed in MANY Courtyards up and down the east coast and this was by far one of the nicest.
We liked the Courtyard Marriott from the moment we walked in to book our reservations. I was scheduled to have surgery at the Rothman Institute the following week, which was basically next door. Everyone we spoke to was helpful, caring and concerned. Our room was bright and airy, clean and comfortable. I was accommodated with extra pillows as soon as I requested them. We did order food from the Cafe as I wasnt able to comfortably go out and the salad that I ordered was excellent. We also had breakfast at the Cafe and the food was good and more than enough. Everyone who saw that I was in a sling offered to help, which was greatfully appreciated. I would definitely recommend the Courtyard Marriott!!!
I have stayed at many Courtyards, but was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. The room was large (I booked an extended king) and had a very functional place to work and a couch designed both for relaxing and for working (a nice little work table was conveniently located and able to be positioned as a laptop stand while working from the couch). The lighting was excellent, and there were MANY electrical outlets and charging (USB) outlets. Clearly, someone put a lot of thought into the design and amenities. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and plentiful countertop space. Overall, an impressively designed room.
Customer Service was TOP NOTCH! Accommodated with early check-in. Friendly welcoming front desk associate! My only complaint is that the bar in this hotel is not open after 10:00. Beautiful lounge area that we would have LOVED to use after my sons wedding close by. Other than that....A wonderful experience!
We had our wedding in Bensalem and we had all our guest stay at your hotel. The after party was held in the entrance area and the employees were very accommodating. We appreciate everything they did from the House keeping to the management doing everything they could to help us.Manager especially!!!!!Everyone complimented us on the Hotel we picked to stay at.We looked good, You looked good! Thanks for everything you did for us,TC
I love the location. Love that this hotel has nice woods in the back with water creek. In winter it was pretty dry looking but I bet in Spring/Summer/Fall time this looks amazing. Rooms are very decorated with modern/contemporary style. Staff was friendly. Only down size is there is no complimentary breakfast with the stay.
The staff at this hotel are amazing. They all went out of their way to make it a pleasurable stay for me. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. There is a fitness area and an indoor pool. My overall stay was great. Though its only a 3 star facility, I give it 5 diamonds for customer service.
Front desk was great, let me check in early, also had my room choice from previous stay and gave me the same room. overall room was very clean, bed very comfortable. Only had indoor small pool, it was a warm day and wish they had a outdoor pool, but not a deal breaker. Location was also great quiet area, across form Parx casino.
The place was very nice and clean. The staff was very kind and genuine. When there was an issue with billing the manager went above and beyond to fix the issue. Only thing i did not like was being billed before check out. I understand having the $25 dollar hold on each room but the whole amount should not be held just in case the hotel makes a mistake then you have to wait days for that money to be returned back to your account. The manager was very apologetic for the issue. I would recommend this hotel to anyone whos going to be in the area and wants a nice place to stay for a good price.
I rented the conference room for my sisters baby shower recently and I have to say this was a great place to do it. The staff was so accommodating to our needs and they were really friendly. Its so clean and they set up the tables, linens and chairs for us when we got there to decorate everything was perfect. I had around 45-50 people who attended and there was enough space for everyone to move and walk around during the party. Lisa was so helpful with all of my questions prior to the shower. I work all the time and communicated with her through email only and did all the paper work through email as well. It was so convenient, I highly recommend them and will sure be using them in the near future.
We held our annual fundraiser there this year and the Marriot staff was so friendly and accommodating to our needs. Lisa is great and answered any questions we had in a timely fashion. Not only did the gallery have a great rental price but u also get to set up the day before and as early as u like the day of as well. They threw in the projector as well for no extra charge. The space was a decent size and was very beautiful. Thank u and our organization looks forward to renting from them in the near future.
Strange way to clean rooms! The housekeeping staff didnt clean our room, even we took the sleep in sign off before going out. When I told the front desk after returning to the room they cleaned the bathroom, brought extra towels but didnt clean the room itself and didnt make the beds. Very weird. Otherwise the hotel is clean and the staff is very accommodating.
This location is great! The staff are very helpful. They greet me warmly upon every arrival, as there are many. Theyve helped us organize events at their location with ease. Front to back, this is one of my favorite Marriott locations. Mostly because of the people, however the physical location feels very new and up to date as well.
First time at this hotel - found building and grounds maintenance excellent. Front desk staff was excellent. Rooms were modern and spotless. We have come to expect Marriott to do a fine job, and they continued to impress us with this Courtyard. We are Marriott fans because they never disappoint us.
Nice hotel. I like courtyards because they have a bar and light food, apps and snacks available until 10pm. Sometimes I just don’t feel like leaving the hotel but want a drink or food. I’ve stayed at this location several times - rooms and hotel is clean and quiet . I’m a gold elite member and often opt for Courtyards due to consistency. This location doesn’t disappoint.
From the moment my wife and I walked into the front door the hotel was clean and the service friendly. We found our suite to be clean (it smelled brand new!) and comfortable with all the amenities we expected. The room attendants did and excellent job of tidying the room every morning (we were there for 3 nights). We look forward to our next stay in the summer of 2015!
This is my second trip to Bensalem in the last 6 months. On both trips I have found this property to be very clean and well maintained and have experienced no inconveniences. The hotel provides great access to Parx while providing a quiet setting off the main drag. Cafe is passable. Limited options and fair food, but plenty of close options if you’re up to venturing out.
We were in town for a cheer competition in Trenton, New Jersey. This hotel was chosen based on price and amenities. I was amazed at how clean and relaxing the hotel was. The staff was so awesome. There was a group of 25 of us that stayed and we basically took over the lobby. The staff did everything for us. The kids were able to run around and play while the parents sat in the lounge and lobby area talking and enjoying the Bistro. I must say, I am usually stressed out on trips like this, especially when we all travel. This was one of the most relaxing trips I have ever taken and the hotel had a lot to do with that. Staying there next year for cheer too. Plus we might be planning another trip just my husband and myself. Thank you Marriott Courtyard, Philadelphia Bensalem.
Nothing spectacular only thing that is convenient is their location and their gym the pool is almost always out of order the marketplace is like a lemonade stand the complementary breakfast is not complimentary its expensive and they are scarce on towels and toilet paper I was told one roll a room
This hotel was amazing because they had everything we needed all in one location; great food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner and even a bar at night! This was especially critical for my family and I because we do not drive. Another great feature of this hotel were the lounge areas, which allowed us to unwind and not be cooped up in the room for the duration of our stay. Lastly, which was most important to us was that ALL the staff (receptionists, bartender, cleaning personnel were super nice and accommodating.
I tried to make a reservation with the front desk and was met with both attitude and incompetence. I had missed a deadline to book for a wedding party and asked if I could still book under that rate and if not, if they could work with me on the price. The woman I spoke with refused to work with me just repeating that the discount date had expired. So, due to her attitude and refusal to work with me, the money I would have spent there will now be spent at a nearby hotel. Good luck with your business with that kind of personnel!
This was my first stay at this property and I was happy with how it turned out. All of the staff were very pleasant and professional. The only issue I had during my stay Feb 16th, was that it snowed quite a lot overnight and the hotel did not have any snow brushes or brooms to use to clean off my car. The car rental company did not have one in the car and when I inquired about borrowing one from the hotel, I was told there were none. It probably wouldnt hurt to invest in a couple and keep them at the front desk during the winter.
The hotel exterior and interior very neat and clean. All interior areas very clean and neat. All staff encountered courteous and cheerful and neat in appearance. Room excellent in all aspects , spotless. Only had breakfast but food was good and servers cheerful and well groomed. Eating area clean and neat, counter staff neat and courteous. Based upon this stay I would eassily stay again.
I was surprised how nice this hotel was. The rooms and grounds were kept very nice also could access uber very fast. The room I had waa somewhat small but I liked the feel and bathroom was very nice. Plenty of pillows room had its own thermostat mini fridge coffee maker nice size tv would recommend however I felt the room shouldve been larger for the price could feel to small for more than 2 people.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is great, close to the downtown area but with shops, casino and restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Its an ideal hotel for a person traveling alone and for people in groups. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the dining staff and bartender werent as friendly, and they rush you through your dining experience.
Very attractive modern rooms, cleverly and efficiently designed. Our room had a wonderful wide view of a creek running through the hilly snow-covered woods with deer prancing by, felt like a ski lodge! Very attractive modern lobby, the staff was friendly and helpful, the hot tub was delightful. We would definitely stay there again if we have business up in Northeast Philly!
This was my first stay at a Courtyard Property. The price was good, the room was very nicely decorated and modern. The bed was awesome and I loved the shower. Overall my experience was top notch. I will look into staying at these properties as I travel all over New England.
The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff (David, the manager and Talia in the restuarant) was very accommodating and nice! The hotel had an in-house restaurant and bar, whereby a happy houris nightly. There is a casino located in walking distance of the hotel, as well as many other conveniently located restaurants, grocery stores, ect to accommodate anything you may need. I became a Marriott rewards member after my stay at this particular hotel. A GREAT HOTEL STAY EXPERIENCE INDEED! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Would have gone with one star if someone from the front desk hasnt sent someone out to get a sewing kit for us. That was service! unfortunately all the service afterwards was horrible. Used 4 glasses on first night so they were all dirty, by the end of our 3 night stay they were still dirty, never cleaned. Asked for extra towels never got them, asked for extra pillows we got those after asking 3 times. Would not stay here again
We stayed for a wedding from check in till check out it was great the Staff was truly friendly and helpful. The rooms are quit nice and comfortable ! Beds and bedding were so comfy. Liam at the Bar was great and patient since there were so many of us! I would truly recommend this location for a night stay or even a few night stay !
Stayed here for four nights in one of the business suites. The room was large and comfortable, with a discrete area for me to work. The hotel itself had a large business center and a Starbucks on the first floor that served food. Overall, my stay was quite enjoyable.
Although the hotel is new and beautiful, our room was infested with mosquitoes. We had checked in and went out immediately for the evening. Upon arriving home at 11 PM, we noticed the hotel parking lot was FULL. Upon entering the hotel lobby, we noticed a left over crowd from a wedding reception was occupying the lobby. These guests were loud and having fun. My husband and I were fine with that, until later in the evening when they were running up and down the halls. When we entered our Room #102 and turned the light on, the room was pretty infested with mosquitoes both in the bathroom and in the sleeping area. My husband killed as much as he could. We did not go down to the desk because we already knew the hotel was FULL (there was hardly a parking spot in the lot). The next day upon check out, I did tell the very nice desk clerk. She apologized and did agree that the hotel was booked full the night before. She indicated that the hotel manager (name is Darring) would be calling me. I never got a phone call. This is my second stay at this specific hotel. I think the hotel is clean and beautiful but I would have to think again if I would go back there.
Overall the hotel and room were nice. The room and bathroom looked and felt clean. I barely heard my neighbors. I was on floor 3 of 4 and only occasionally heard people walking around. My only complaint is the bed. I had two queens in my room. Both had a significant slant to the middle of the room. If I hugged the outer edge, I didnt notice it so much. However, a few times in my sleep I rolled to the middle of the bed and jolted awake from a falling sensation.
The first week here was really great. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. However, Ive had a couple issues the second week. I ordered a glass of water with my breakfast at their Bistro waited 20 minutes for it, asked for it again, waited another 10 minutes and still never got my water. The second issue is that two days in a row they forgot to change our towels. They switched out all of the washcloths and sheets, but not the towels. Nevertheless, my stay has been comfortable and the hotel is located in a convenient area near lots of restaurants and two different malls.
I recently stayed at the Courtyard Bensalem for 2 nights. I utilized the hotel to take my son to Sesame Place for a couple of days. It is only about a 10 minute drive from the property. I am a silver member with Marriott and only utilize the Marriott chain when traveling. I was very impressed with this Courtyard. The front desk agent was very friendly and helpful with assisting me with my room type and floor request. The room was very clean and dust free. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The hotel is located in a very safe and clean area. I would recommend this hotel to any family planning on visiting Sesame Place or any other surrounding places of interest.
If you are looking for a clean hotel with a positive vibe this is the place. You get nothing but positivity from the moment you walk in and throughout your stay. Gone are the days of traditional hotel atmosphere; the Courtyard by Marriott has changed that idea completely. From the ambiance in the lobby to the ultra modern shower, all guests will feel relaxed throughout their stay. The patio with two wall fountains and natural gas fire centerpiece make for a comfortable outsideArea experience. The reasonably priced rooms and proximity to dining a local shopping make this property an ideal place to stay for either one night or for as long as you need.Good job Courtyard @ Bensalem.
We worked with Lisa to secure a room block for our recent wedding and we had a great experience! Lisa was very responsive and helpful making sure our guests got the best rates. Also, the outdoor area around the fire pit is perfect because all of the wedding guests staying at the hotel were able to hang out there together. I would definitely recommend!
This particular Courtyard Marriot was beautiful, spacious and clean. Oversized showers, refridgerator and microwave included. The couch in the room was exceptional. My room actually overlooked the stream in the back of the hotel and they do have fire pits and seating outside when its warmer. The only drawback was the bar and restaurant area not being open around check in time. It closes after breakfast and reopens at 5pm. Sometimes you want to grab a cocktail when you check in or some coffee and there was no where to do that. Other than that, I would definitely stay at this hotel again! It was as close to perfect for that type of hotel that you can get and its right across the street from Parx Casino.
Stayed here for a wedding. The rooms remind me of an Aloft hotel - you enter down a long hallway, and the bed is sharing a wall with the bathroom vs a wall with the other rooms. No door on the shower (which irks me when you are taking a hot shower and steam up the entire room). Bed was firm, not very comfortable as I perfer a softer mattress. Food is very pricey, but the alcoholic beverages were a good price...just need to remember that they are not bartenders/baristas so service can be quite slow.
Only visiting at the moment to get things organized for a private event in a year, but the experience was absolutely wonderful! The front guest attendant who assisted me around 1pm today, Jim, deserves a promotion for how friendly/professional he was while giving me a tour of the available facilities and rooms!
Second time staying at this Courtyard. Room and rest of hotel was clean, staff was friendly and check in was easy. Close proximity to PARX casino and restaurants. Room had a wonderful view of the casino lights and provided a romantic setting for my wife and I. Had a great time.
That was our 2nd time staying there. Hotel is very nice and its convient to the restaurants and casino. The atmosphere is great. The entire area is great. Looking to come back and stay in December. I would recommend to family and friends without a doubt. Price is not bad at all. Havent tried any of the food from the hotel but from what I saw from the menu they have a variety of everything from breakfast to dinner. Overall we had a great time. Will do it again without a doubt.
Stayed for one night. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, area felt safe. Staff was nice and helpful. When calling to reserve a room make sure you call the hotel directly and not the “ reservation center” ...the third party center that will make a reservation for you and claim they are the official hotel reservation site.
This hotel gets my highest marks in regards to hotel appearance inside AND out, top notch cleanliness, free internet, tech savy hotel, futuristic rooms, hotel location near Parx casino and Franklin Mills Outlet Mall. The only criticism I have for my experience with them would be at check-in. There is a lack of communication between the employees at the front desk. There was so much confusion and repetitive calls about me coming in before the guest the hotel room was booked under. All you needed was to fill out a credit card authorization form (which we did) and emailed and faxed to the front desk. I think we did this about 5 times. They finally got it the night before I was supposed to arrive. At check-in for both 2/27 and 2/28 I had to deal with Emily and I have to say her service is average at best. I am not hard to please but her answers just rubbed me the wrong way. Also she did not wish me a happy birthday which it clearly stated under reservation details. Her male coworker however later in the day wished me one... the little things make a huge difference in customer service. The Bistro gets 4/5 because they lack vegetarian options on their menu. The service and staff at the Bistro were very kind though. Thanks for an overall great stay Courtyard Marriott Bensalem!!! I will be back! :)
We stayed in an extended room with a king sized bed. The room was absolutely huge with a lot of open floor space and a sofa that converts to a second bed. The bathroom had a large walk in shower and good water pressure and plenty of hot water. My only complaints would be that the bathroom door would not secure due to the door strike being out of position and that the shower did not have a door. It had a glass panel which only covered half of the shower. This created a cool breeze while showering. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.
What a great hotel and travel experience. Our company recently opened a new office in Bensalem so this was my first trip to the area. I normally stay at Couryards because of the consistency of the properties and the quality of the room and this was right on the money... Obviously this was a relatively new property... the rooms were awesome, great new bathroom and shower set-up. Very, very nice... Ill be back...
The room was clean and bright. Very modern decor and I did have trouble finding a light switch on one of the lights - I did finally find it. Did not see a hair dryer in the bathroom but other than that it was a beautiful room. Staff was helpful and somewhat informed of local sites. Would stay again!
This is one of the newer Marriott Courtyard hotels. The newer models offer a variety of room types, beyond the old 1 bed or two bed choices.Be careful when you reserve a room online. They show one picture of a nice spacious room when you reserve a larger room type.....but when you go up to your room, you get the standard smaller room style. When the front desk is questioned about this discrepancy, they say it is a website error and they are not responsible. It is like they are reading from a script. Obviously, this has happened before. In fact, it happened to me a year ago on a previous reservation to the same property. I got the same excuse. They can’t fix a website error in a year? I think they don’t want it fixed because people pay more for the illusion that they will be getting a larger room.Besides this problem, the hotel is nice and clean. But I wouldn’t stay there until they fix this problem with their reservations. I notified corporate this week. Let’s see if it gets fixed.FYI: The picture I posted is the pic and room type from their website when making a reservation. It is NOT a reliable representation of the room I was given. That room in the pic is far larger and shows two wall mounted televisions. The room I received was smaller and had only one television.

2021-11-22Stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a business trip and it was just OK.What I didn’t like:Bed sheets were stainedWalls were stainedPillows were flat and flimsyDusty nightstandsThe room made me a bit stuffy from the heat even with the windows openNot many amenities as shown in photosRoom is attended to every few days unless you request room cleaning daily.Things I liked:Good size room (King bed)My room was facing the back of the hotel which had a nice view of treesVery quiet which makes it easy to relaxSpacious bathroomMattress was comfortable enoughFinal thoughts:I think this hotel is pricey for one reason, convenience. It’s minutes away from everything you can possibly need. Otherwise the hotel is not superb, especially for the price you pay. However, it is still a decent place to stay and I would stay here again!

2022-05-24Not worth the price. Pool and hot tub were both out of service. They would only provide one crib but we have 2 children under 3 years old so this was frustrating. Poor service at the bar and my children found a partially eaten Oreo on the floor of our cleaned room. Have stayed here before but will look for another option for our next visit.

2022-06-03Friendly staff and good location. The room we were in was very clean and well furnished. The bistro in the hotel is also nice.Theres not a lot of restaurants around that arent chains, but there are some good options in the casino which is just down the road.Check in was very easy and so was check out. They also have a shop open 24/7 where you can get snacks and things.

2021-12-24The hotel lobby was impeccable and clean with plenty of masks and sanitizer to accommodate the patrons. They do have a small, no frills gym with a great treadmill and several weights, one bench and a swimming pool. As far as the room is concerned, we were a little disappointed in the uncomfortable beds, no blankets and non-stop humming coming from the fan in the bathroom. With the door closed, it still kept us awake. There were dust bundles on the light fixtures too and some outlets didnt work. The second night we stayed, we asked the front desk to help with the fan but nothing could be done. We were offered points for the inconvenience. Not the level of service Id expect from the Marriott hotels.

2021-09-28The hotel cleaning team did a great job. However, I was disappointed by management poor professionalism. I traveled 6 hours from home to stay at this hotel for 3 days on a trip. I booked a room with 2 beds 4 months in advanced. When booking I asked if I would be able to get a extra bed in the room for a 5th guest for my last night and was told yes, I even had them write a note in my reservation so I could secure the 3rd bed. At check in I again reminded them that on the second night I had requested a third bed and they told me, remind reception first thing tomorrow because they go fast. I did exactly that and was told by management that they would not be able to do so because it was a safety hazard. I was very confused as I was told otherwise once by phone months ago and the night prior. The hotel was fully booked by then and when relaying that message of miscommunication of policies the individual became very hostile and said, Well there isnt anything I can do. My guest had traveled the same distance from home as I did and was left with no accommodation. Management needs to learn proper etiquette when speaking to their guests and properly train their employees on what should be their number one priority, safety. Overall, the management and their team were very rude and need to learn how to speak to customers.

2021-09-24We had an overall good time in town for a wedding. The hotel seemed to have a little disorganization on what was in rooms when guests arrive. We only had one full sized bath towel and a bunch of much smaller towels, we had conditioner but no other toiletries, an ironing board was missing, but the staff was quick to remedy everything. Breakfast was very good but pricier than you would expect. Shining stars were Comfort who was working the front desk frequently, she was awesome and so friendly! Also the woman who was in charge of the cleaning staff, I forget her name, but she was so nice and bubbly
