Ive stayed at Crane Chinatown for about a year and it was very nice to live there. The apartment is quite new and things are well equipped and clean. Some reviews have probably mentioned this but the Crane Chinatown staff are the best. They are friendly and considerate. The trash chute does get clogged occasionally and it happens more at night.
Ive really enjoyed my stay at Crane Chinatown. I love the location, even though we havent been able to venture out as much as we would have without a pandemic. The amenities are very nice. Ive never lived in a building with a gym before, but its very convenient. And my partner really enjoys our access to the PCDC basketball courts. The apartment itself is clean, modern, and full of light, and the trash chute in the hall is super convenient. But the reason that I give this building 5 stars is because the members of the staff-- Ashley, Satta, Denny, Mike, and Travis-- are worth a full star each. Every single one of them has gone above and beyond to make living here awesome! Denny and Satta checked on my dog while I was out on a day trip. Ashley is the most attentive building manager Ive ever had. Mike and Travis keep the place super clean, and are also just really fun people. All of them are so friendly and so willing to go the extra mile and I cant state my appreciation enough.
Ive lived in Crane Chinatown for almost a year now and dont plan to move out anytime soon! The apartment itself is really nice with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Center City. Its the tallest apartment building in the area so you get unobstructed view from the rooftop as well. The Management team is always super friendly and helpful. All my maintenance requests were resolved within 24 hours. Aside from the Pros, theres definitely some Cons like occasional clogged trash chute but I cant imagine an apartment building with no flaws.
I attended an event on the rooftop and was really impressed. The uninterrupted skyline view of both center city and the bridge is absolutely stunning and the firepits were a great bonus. The inside area was clean and tastefully decorated too. The management staff was kind, helpful, attentive, and the event ran smoothly with their assistance. I also toured an apartment while I was there and even though I went with something in a different neighborhood of the city, the apartment was super nice and sleek and I would recommend others to check it out. Overall, a positive experience in a beautiful building!
I recently moved in to Crane Chinatown and already love it. The apartment has an amazing view and incredible natural light. They have an awesome rooftop as well with an great view of Philly. I am beyond pleased with the service of the staff as well. Everyone has made our move extremely easy and enjoyable. They are extremely knowledgeable and have an amazing response time to any requests or questions. I look forward to the rest of my time here.
I have now been living at Crane Chinatown for a month, and could not be happier! I began working with Satta from my very first phone call inquiring about the property, and she helped me out every single step of the way to make my new home official! From answering all of my questions about the property, signing the lease, providing me with specific measurements of my unit so I could plan accordingly (as I was moving here from out of state), etc - and she is continuing to provide me with the best customer service, currently! Satta truly went above and beyond for me, and I am so appreciative for all of her help to make my own transition to move to Philly incredibly seamless. I only have positive things to say about the rest of the team as well! My favorite parts about the building itself are the rooftop deck, the floor to ceiling windows, brand new appliances, dog friendly, close proximity to Center City and the clean/modern feel to my unit. It is everything and more that I was looking for in my move to Philly! Would highly recommend renting with the Crane!!
Moved in a here a couple weeks and it has been amazing! The management staff was super helpful and engaged during the tour and application process. I felt very welcomed and comfortable moving in here. The management and maintenance staff are responsive and helpful with any problems you have. Amenities are great, theres a spacious gym with lots of equipment and a court open on select days. The rooftop has multiple firepits, grills, and lounge chairs for resident use and the views are spectacular. Because of covid times, the rooftop and gym are only open during select hours but I look forward to when itll be open all the time again! The location of this apartment building is very safe and convenient too, its right next to Chinatown and Center City so you have lots of options for food and entertainment. So far my experience has been great, would highly recommend renting here.
Living in the crane is nice! The staff is really welcoming and always smiling! The roof top has the best views! The lobby area is always clean. Only complaint would be there is only one entrance to get into the building, as residents cannot access the side door from the outside which is an inconvenience at times.
Meh. I really wanted to love this building. But aside from my particular unit & the views there are some issues with the property that I just can no longer ignore. First off I moved here in July and was promised that within a few weeks the lobby would be redone, decorated and not look like “a hospital” were the exact words that the woman that gave me the tour used. However, it is now November and the lobby still looks completely the same. Most buildings in center city have very modern and welcoming lobbies. Theres a community center attached to the building and even they have a nice piano plus artwork to give a better feel when entering. However the residents entrance still looks lifeless with cheap furniture and literally not even a single piece of artwork to make it look more welcoming. They did add a coffee maker (for a fee) which is nice, but the lobby still looks very cold and not up to standards compared to other downtown buildings. Secondly, the trash chutes are down at least 5 out of 7 days of the week, which means us residents have to keep all garbage in our units until someone unclogs it, just for it to be down the very next day. Super frustrating especially considering there’s no dumpster either. So basically you’re stuck with trash in your apartment. Instead of management apologizing for this inconvenience they send out condescending email blasts to inform the residents that they must keep garbage in their units or else they will be fined. Super professional! Another thing, I live 4 floors above the gym & still constantly hear weights dropping at all hours of the night. How is that even possible? Not sure. As far as packages go, I’ve had several packages delivered and when I get home In the evening from work the packages are nowhere to be found, I have to wait until the next morning because front desk locked them in the office and didn’t even notify me that anything came. Not cool. I also had issues with my water not getting hot the first few weeks of moving in, luckily that was resolved. However the rest of the issues are still ongoing with no sign of improvement & I’ve been quite patient. I understand that with a new construction building comes growing pains but for the cost of these units, these problems really shouldn’t be happening. Ashley in the office & the young man at the desk are both very kind & welcoming, so I will add a star for that. The rest of the issues I hope get solved promptly as I am already beginning to anticipate my lease ending, and I’ve only been here a little over 3 months.
So this post is dedicated to satta your an amazing person i love you attentive attitude the way you handle your residents is amazing we all love you here!!!! 2022-02-11The 2 Asian ladies at this building really took the time out to fully explain to me, on how to file my taxes correctly and efficiently. I also enjoyed talking to them. They were very polite and knowledgeable, in their profession. Wish I could give them 10 stars!👍

2021-11-07Very nice renovated place with amazing views and location. Walkable distance to stores, restaurants, and even to the City Hall & Rittenhouse square (I barely use my car since I moved in and I love it!). Maintenance and lease office teams work efficiently and everyone is very friendly. Gym isnt big but it has enough cardio machines, weights, and machines for a great workout. (Plus there is a few great gyms in the area, as well). Common spaces are renovated, they are always clean and taken care of. The rooftop is gorgeous, u can do a barbecue, stay warm next to the fireplace, and enjoy city views. Even on weekends there isnt any noise coming from neighbors and everyone is very friendly and welcoming:)The apartment inside is beautiful and renovated, too. Kitchen includes all needed necessities and modern facilities. Bathroom is spacious and nice. (+there is an inside washer & dryer, too). Overall, price = service, location, amenities, apartment insides. The only minus, sometimes trash bins arent accessible but if you are mindful and take care of things on time - its not going to be an issue. 100% recommend Crane Chinatown apartments!

2021-04-09Choosing a place to call home is a tough choice, even if its temporary. Crane is a relatively new building with new appliances. The building also features nice add-on amenities for the busy bees. I recommend looking into your parking options if you drive, free parking is limited in this neighborhood. (There is a friendly monthly lot next door). The building allows pets. What really sold us was ultimately the team. They are really welcoming and professional. Its important to know who is taking care of you and this team is dedicated. We love it here!

2021-11-16This is what community is all about. I came across Crane Chinatown by accident, but ended up staying with them for 6 months now. The staff are friendly and professional; the room is spacious and well-designed; the location is unbeatable for its price. If you are looking for a safe and welcoming space to stay in Philly, Crane Chinatown is definitely the top option.

2021-04-08I have lived in Crane Chinatown for almost a year now and this has been a great experience! The staff are extremely friendly and considerate of all of the residents needs requests. The property is beautiful, with a fantastic view overlooking the Philadelphia skyline from the top floor. The fitness center has everything you need for a variety of exercises, and like the rest of the building, is kept clean and sanitized. The apartments are perfect for living and comfortable. I would recommend this property to everyone looking to live in the Philadelphia area!

2021-04-20I recently toured Crane Chinatown with Denny. It was like a breath of fresh air - literally and figuratively. Literally, the apartment building itself was absolutely spotless and smells fresh. Figuratively, Denny made our experience so positive and stress free. He was informative, kind, and made the tour fun. They seem to think of everything at Crane - from snacks and mimosas while youre touring to welcome kits for new move-ins, complete with all the essentials youd need for your first nights stay in your new place. He sent us an email with all the information we discussed right after our tour, which was super thorough. The apartments themselves are priced better than most in the city, and usually come with much more space. This is what apartment shopping should be like: amazing customer service, open channels of communication, and lots of smiles. Thank you Denny!

2021-04-18We were looking at a few different apartment complexes around Philadelphia, and we chose Crane because the staff was warm and welcoming on the tour, it was conveniently next to I-676 which made commuting a breeze, and it was a relatively brand new apartment. The staff continued to make us feel welcomed by having small community events throughout the year. Our apartment in particular had a great view of the city and was quite spacious. Our only main concern about moving here was parking but fortunately the adjacent lot had monthly parking.Aside from a few uncontrollable grievances, we had a great time living in Crane. I would recommend it for many additional reasons which the staff would happily share during a tour!

2021-04-10We have been living at Crane Chinatown for an year now and its been the highlight of our stay in Philly ! The location is amazing and the staff ( Ashley and Denny ) are so so so helpful !!! After a long day at work, it feels great to come back home at The Crane. The amenities from the grills to the gym are really good. I love the fact that the community organizes ( socially distant) meetups and mixers often. Crane will always hold a special place in my heart as this has been my babys first home. Highly recommend checking it out. Do check out the view from the terrace...its what instagram dreams are made of ! :)
