Great service. Great staff. Great experience.From the beginning of my interaction with Sondralee and her staff at Custom Audio, I was treated like part of the family.I brought my 2019 Honda to Custom Audio for a near-full install: four component speakers and crossovers for the front, two two-way speakers for the rear, two subwoofers, two amplifiers, and sound dampening material. We left the factory head-unit, and included a JL Fix sound processor to merry it to the amplifiers.The technicians and installers were very knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to getting the complete install finished in two days, wrapping-up on Christmas Eve. I live about three hours away from Erie, so having the install completed before I had to return home on Christmas day was very important to me. The staff worked very diligently for those two days to ensure my vehicle was ready for me in time – and it was. Not only did they do a fantastic job getting the work completed in time, but the installers also designed an amplifier shelf for my trunk that included a powered light – a very cool addition that was thrown-in out of sheer passion for their work. They of course did some tuning and tweaking to the system using their software – add that to the list of things I could not have done on my own.When I returned home after Christmas, I noticed a low-pitched, bassy hum that was coming from my subwoofers when there was otherwise no sound being emitted. When I called Sondralee and explained the problem, she identified it immediately as a noise-cancelling issue and asked me to bring the vehicle in the next time I was in town, which I did. Sondralee was absolutely correct in her assessment over the phone of it being a noise-cancelling issue and they were subsequently able to fix it rather quickly. And oh, by the way, the technician came in on his day off – a Saturday – to take care of my issue. I cannot express enough how special that made me feel as a customer. The technician, AJ, is so passionate about his work and cares so much about getting things perfect for the customer, that he accommodated me and my schedule so that his install was done right and that I was happy. He even brought his young son to work that day so he could take care of me.When I say that I felt like part of the family, I truly mean it. I’ve been to other audio installers in Erie and have had speakers put into my previous vehicles, but I’d never felt as though there was a lot of passion coming from the staff to treat my vehicle like their own. There’s never quite been the “ownership” of the work by the installers like I felt at Custom Audio. I even ate lunch with Sondralee and her staff. I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. It will be a long time before I ever take my vehicle(s) anywhere else for my audio needs.I would like to extend a very big ‘thank you’ to Sondralee, AJ, Nick, and Adam at Custom Audio for their outstanding knowledge, service, and craftsmanship.
Sondralee and her team are wonderful! I have personally utilized their services for home security & custom floor mats. I am in the auto industry and have sent many customers there for remote starts and floor mats. Just the other day I had one of my customers come into my office and personally thank me for sending her to Custom Audio for her remote start. A few months back, my split screen baby monitor stopped charging and needed a new part. Seeing as the company no longer makes the product and split screens are hard to find, I was determined to find someone in Erie to help fix my current one. I called a handful of companies in Erie. As soon as I stated that the small electronic was a baby monitor, I was instantly turned away with nasty remarks about how ridiculous it was to fix those and would be a waste of their time. After Googling small electronic repair stores, Custom Audio came up. I decided to try one more time. To my surprise, I wasnt turned away. In fact, the owner was so nice and caring. Her and her team of employees did everything they could to fix my baby monitor. Months later it still works. We have now moved onto having Custom Audio install a surround sound system in our soon-to-be finished basement. I would highly recommend this business. SHOP LOCAL!!!!! They care about their customers!!!

Custom Audio went above and beyond to remove a bad remote start I purchased from another local business and replace it with a new one. Sandra lee, Nick, and Aaron were extremely helpful through the entire process. Since the new install I have not had one problem. I have a 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk in which I replaced all of the speakers previously and I finally decided that the stock head unit needed an amplifier. This unit controls virtually everything in the vehicle, so its a complicated installation and I was not 100% comfortable doing it myself. Custom Audio was recommended, so I decided to give them a call and I cant say enough good things about them - right from the start. I talked to Adam and he looked at my vehicle and said they could easily handle it, so we made an appointment. I spoke with Sondralee and then AJ and they went to work and they actually finished it before it was promised.The sound improvement is everything I was looking for and the workmanship is top-notch. I am a nit-picker when it comes to having things right and I can tell you that the installation is very professional. AJ answered every question I had, did everything the way it should be and I am completely satisfied with the entire experience.They will now be my go-to for car audio and now Im going to have to see what they have for the home as well.
What a great experience! Apparently going above and beyond is considered standard service here. Every single person I interacted with was knowledgable and genuinely friendly. Everyone seems to enjoy working there which says a lot about a business. I needed a difficult-to-find remote starter for my uncooperative SUV, which Nick researched and installed seamlessly. As a female, it was refreshing to be treated with respect, not as if I were clueless and needed a man with me to make a decision. Its local and woman-owned, cant get better than that!

On both occasions I couldn’t have asked for better service.Just recently had some battery trouble with the new car that the dealer suggested was the Drones fault. Not only did Custom Audio take the time to help me see that the issue wasn’t with the Drone, nearly a year after installation by the way, they went out of their way and contacted the dealer to help educate them about how the drone worked. Above and beyond excellent customer service, thank you.I also recommend stepping up your unit with the smart phone app version. You can start the car from anywhere. I can start my car from inside the civic center when my car is on State Street. I have been using Custom Audio for my needs since I had my first car. I love Custom Audio ... prompt, courteous, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I had a technical issue with a factory installed satellite radio in my vehicle, and not only did they figure it out with lightning speed, they refused to charge me for the service. Custom Audio has some of the best customer service Ive ever seen in any business. My car had a native wiring issue that caused them about 8 hours of extra labor- even though it was my cars problem they covered correcting it without additional charge. Fantastic group. Support this business!
When I bought my 2008 Ford F150, it had a remote start and found out it didnt work. I took my truck to Custom Audio and it only took about 45 minutes to fix the problem! And they even fixed my unlock button on the driver side of the vehicle! Another great thing about them is they fixed my reverse lights too! A FANTASTIC place and the employees are wonderful! I would recommend them to everyone!

In 2007, I went to Custom Audio to do a complete install on a 2007 Ford Escape. I knew that I had to go to Custom Audio because of the care and craftsmanship that they take with all of their custom install projects. Because of my unique needs at the time, being able to load and unload Yamaha dual 15 tower speakers for my DJing business, I pushed Custom Audio to develop a system that would sound great and allow me to still keep the system in while transporting my DJ equipment. Custom Audio knocked the install out of the park. It was so amazing that people could not believe the system that was installed into the vehicle.Approximately three weeks ago I finally traded in my Escape for a 2014 Ford Focus. While I did not need the requirement to transport large speakers, I did need other aspects for my business and other needs. Custom Audio took everything from the Escape and reconfigured it to the new Focus. The end result on this system is amazing. The install is amazing and very clean.Ive been a car audio enthusiast for most of my life. Ive had great cars and audio installations. Custom Audio is the best there is when you want something unique and done with quality. Their staff is professional and they work with you to make a dream a reality. From the guys and gals working at the sales counter to the team installing systems, they all work as one to provide the best experience possible. The staff are super cool people and the store owner is one of the nicest people ive talked to yet. I actually stumbled on Custom Audio just by putting in a XD600/1v2 on Craigslist and just was clicking different areas. I was just about to stop when one finally came up.I contacted them via email and they got back to me straight way.I dont live in Erie so they were going to have to ship it. They said no problem. I asked if they would mind lowering the price they said no problem. They threw in a Bass knob for cheap and when I asked them to make the price just one flat rate you guessed it they said no problem. I expected to get this Amp on Wed or Thursday after Nick told me it was shipped on Friday. It was sitting at my door today (Monday) very nicely wrapped and loaded with bubble paper to ensure zero damage while shipping.I installed it tonight and it makes my Sub jump!To sum up Custom Audio - Great communication. Very nice while dealing with the prices. Super fast shipping. Great customer service (throwing in stuff to better the deal) & quality products. With my busy schedule I didnt plan on having this Amp in until Friday and its in on Monday!... 5 stars!

AMAZING! Went to over 5 store to get a part for my 1996 toyota avalon. Finally this was the last local place. I talked to Sandralee. She looked it up on the computer found a few options. Just to double check (with no hassle) she offered to walk out to my car to verify what I needed. We went back in she went to the back to grab the part and helped me understand the part a little better and even showed me where on the package it listed my car as compatible. All of 10 minutes tops to get in and out as a very satisfied customer. I would recommend this place to everyone.
This place is like a big boy candy store. I saw that someone had a complaint about the prices. Go look at there face book people. The work they do is so way beyond anything you have ever seen. And if you want the best on the market and a sound that booms then this is the place to go. The prices are very far and the owner will go out of her way to help you. I arrived at CA to inquire about LG OLED televisions. They are an LG authorized dealer. I talked with the owner, Sandra Lee who knew her $hit about top end TVs as a whole and a lot about LGs. She spent 45 minutes with me explaining everything I wanted to know about smart TVs with the floor model. She knew the ins-and-outs of set up and tuning TVS to the environment they will be operating in.Their pricing is fantastic, blowing away online and big box stores pricesIm very glad I walked in their store; Ill be buying my OLED TB from them.

Honestly this was some of the worst customer service i ever experienced in my life , to make a long story short ! I had to deal with 3 different reps all with conflicting stories at the end of the day these people were supposed to call me back twice the first time I called them back the second time they were supposed to call back and they didnt ! Terrible service ! Would not recommend , just being honest .

Its Okay, the prices are high but the staff is very friendly and somewhat knowledgeable. Its not the place if youre looking for a bargain but they do sell higher end equipment. Yes you could probably find half of the equipment they sell online for cheaper but if your looking for something on hand then I guess shop here.

2022-05-26Started looking around to add some much needed bass to my 2021 Durango GT. The stock six speaker alpine system lacked the subwoofer. After scrolling thru tons of subs and amps online, it quickly became apparent that the most important thing to me was a quality installation in my brand new vehicle.I emailed Adam at Custom Audio and with in two emails I knew we were on the same page. Some great bass, in a small stealthy package. After going into the store I was presented some options in their sound room to be able hear the different sized subs and boxes in action with the same kind of music I like to listen to. Nice touch!If your looking to add some base to a durango the Jl Audio 12wt3d4 in a down fired sealed custom box on a 500 watt JL Amp is a great match with the alpine 6 speaker factory sound package.In my opinion the installation was top notch. Everything was put back together tight and straight. Not so much a strand of carpet out of place!Thanks custom audio. I appreciate the professionalism.

2021-05-13This is the 4th full system install that Custom Audio has put into one of my vehicles and it is hands down the absolute best looking and sounding set-up to date. Sondralee, Nick, Adam, and AJ knocked this out of the planet. The small, subtle details, of how they matched the interior of the vehicle along with all of the beauty and trim pieces is absolutely stunning. The compliments Ive received at car audio competition shows to getting my oil changed are phenomenal.If you are an audiophile, like myself, there is only ONE place to go to get superior car audio installed in Erie and that is Custom Audio. They are able to take small ideas and turn them into truly works of art. Their attention to detail behind the scenes (wiring, fusing, etc...) is impeccable. Each wire is carefully placed, protected, and fastened expertly.Ive been a fan of JL Audio for many years. They have great equipment that sounds great, plays hard, and lasts. 2022-05-24Sister went In At 10am to have battery replaced in car remote. Sondra was with a gentleman for a moment, acknowledged sister with hello, another gentleman walked in she acknowledged him looked past sister said let me get your paperwork after other gentleman was done and ignored sister! As sister was walking out she said to her I’ll be with you shortly, sister said no you won’t! Left!! How RUDE of the OWNER NO LESS! She was there first, owner had no idea what she wanted, she could have been there about a car stereo for all that matters! Women BEWARE OF HER, although she is married she’ll look past you for the man!! I won’t go back!!

2021-07-26Customer service and the work they do is 2nd to none! I brought in a 94 Honda Civic and everyone said I couldnt put this newer deck in it. I brought it to Custom Audio and they said piece of cake and figure out a way to make it work. I had them hook up speakers and an amp I had too. Already scheduled an appointment to have lights put underneath! I could go on and on about stories of how great these people are but you should just go there and find out yourself.

2021-05-07My stock jeep radio died. I stopped by Custom Audio in morning, the owner, Sondra Lee, reviewed my options. I received an email estimate that afternoon. Called and scheduled an install the following day. While they were installing new radio Custom Audio found an aftermarket remote starter I did know I had in the jeep and informed me how it works.The new radio makes me feel like I am driving a brand new car. The factory speakers sound so much better with the new radio. Great service, great price, very professional. Thank you so much.

2021-03-12This is my second car stereo install and both times they have exceeded my expectations. You really feel the personal touch that goes into something you will be using daily. Everything was professional from start to finish, and it seemed like the person was enjoying the opportunity as much as you. Only con, which isnt really one, is pricy. But I think it goes without saying that you get what you pay for. Overall a very pleasant experience and would happily recommend them to anyone.

2021-03-21Had windows tinted and speakers done! Phenomenal work and they did it quick! Real honest people. The tech even took me in his car to hear his system! I never feel pressured to buy something and they want what’s best for my experience when driving my car! Highly recommend!

2021-09-09Hats off to this company and the staff.Custom did a projector installation for our church in 2008, and recently we encountered an issue with the projector.The owner/manager, Sondra, freely came to evaluate the issue, and never tried to make us feel obligated to do an update. She was kind, friendly. and professional.
