This bus company is the absolute worst in Philadelphia! Where should I start....my son was schedule for pick ups and drop offs and they never picked him up and they left him at the school several times. The few times they did take him home the bus driver passed his stop twice, I had to call my child on his phone so he could tell the bus driver she passed his stop! It didnt work because he arrive home 2 hrs later. I called the headquarters several times and can never get a person on the line as well as no return calls. The bus drivers are unorganized and tend to pick up the wrong kids and have no knowledge of neighborhoods or locations. You would think the company would provide some kind of gps for their drivers but Im not surprised they dont. Im not sure how they are still in business. There is no organization, no professionalism. If you use this bus service be sure to get your child a phone.
The absolute WORST BUS COMPANY EVER. My childs school uses this company and every year between September and June they change drivers on his route at least 3-4 times. The drivers are always late picking the children which is unsafe and unacceptable. Ive called to complain but you always have to leave a message because they never answer the phone and the issues still go unresolved. I wish my childs school would change companies this place is so unorganized
This school bus service so far has such an unprofessional service! Its not consistent in timing. Last week, myself, and my son, and a few other children waiting at our 7:09 bus.. It wasnt until 20 minutes later I called and the response we dont have driver for this route, and they will be 60 mins behind. past an hour NO BUS! The children missed school. Now today? School lets out at 3:30..Bus didnt leave until 5:13 p.m!!!! Ive never experienced a company so Incompetent!!! We are hiring. we have drivers in training.: WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH 7 YEAR OLD CHILDREN ALREADY ON THE BUS STOP WITH A COMMITMENT?! IM THOROUGHLY UPSET. WAITING FOR THE SCHOOL BOARD TO GET BACK TO ME!
The school bus is late EVERYDAY! Last week I had to leave work and pick my children up at 5:30 because the bus never came at 3:25. When I called and reported that this bus has been late everyday since school started they said we will look in to it. It is TOO early in the year for children to be late everyday! Yesterday my son told me that the bus drivers nephew hit him in the face (the nephew is not a student at my childrens school) which means she is babysitting on the job. Kinda explains why shes late picking my kids up since shes picking up her nieces and nephews before she gets the kids shes being paid to pickup. This is the worst bus company. I will be calling the school district to have my children bused with another company. DURHAM NEEDS TO BE SHUTDOWN!
Worst most ignorant bus company ever. They dont take responsibility for their mistakes. They gave me and other parents grief for worrying about where our children are. How can someone have responsibility over the LIFE of a child and be so ignorant to their parents. They have every excuse in the book and put fault on others rather than be honest and admit they messed up. They hung up on me because they didnt want to deal with my complaint all while one of their workers has my child. Seriously, this company should be looked into and someone needs to fix their issues.
This bus company really needs the gps app so parents can see if the bus is actually going to come. For years theres hasnt been a permanent driver to keep the schedule. My kids literally stand in the freezing rain for over an hour sometimes with no communication from the bus company at all. Dont even bother calling dispatch...they dont answer or call you back. This is sad!
My children have been in 3 different schools who use this bus service and they are horrendous! They come late or not at all. There is no communication with the parents or the school when there is an issue or change in routine! I dont know how they are still operating. If this was a school bus in the county and not in the urban area of Philadelphia then it would be a different story. I will no longer stand by and allow them to continue to offer the sub par service to our children. Why is the school district of Philadelphia still contracting with them? Im call all the news stations today to see if they can do an investigative report on these complaints and their level of service and why is the school district of Philadelphia still using them!
I got rear ended by a bus driver first name Michael and we exchanged insurance information, had a police report clearly stating that the bus driver was at fault but when my insurance tried to call the company they wouldnt respond and since the damage was under a thousand dollars my insurance company had a limited time to handle the case but still till this day the bus company never responded. This company is ran by criminals so be careful with your kids.
I ride one of the buses own by the bus service, if you can even call it that. Ive missed days because of the sometimes unreliable bus driver. I have a pick up time around 7;12, however, the driver is either is too early or doesnt show up at all. On top of that, they dont even give me enough time to get out the door and get on the bus. I could go into more detail about the driver and everything, but I dont think it is worth it. Honestly, youre better off paying Uber or Lyft to pick up your child.
Yesterday i suffered the worst nightmare any parent could ever go through. My child is 6 and just started taking the bus this year we thought it would be a good idea to give him a sense of independence but all of that came to an end yesterday. My son normally gets off the bus between 5:00-5:30pm i sat outside in my car as i always do and waited for him with my 3 year old daughter. When 5:45 hit i started to get a little concerned i called his school to see if he was placed on the bus and they said he was so i thought maybe the bus could be running late. It now turns 6 o’clock and my son is still not here at the stop nor is the bus i then called the school district of Philadelphia transportation department and they said i was the 5th parent calling about route 7741 and that the bus was missing and didn’t know where it was located. I began to panic! They asked me my sons name about 3 times over the phone and i told them at 6:45 i was told my son wasn’t on the bus and that the bus didn’t come to his stop because he wasn’t on there. I am now an emotional wreck i called 911 and filed a missing persons report. It was in that moment when i had to give the description of what my son was wearing when i dropped him off that morning became sickening to me! I received a phone call at 7:30pm that they located my son and he was on the route 7741 which they told me earlier he wasn’t! They said the bus driver was new and was a sub and didn’t know anything about this route my panic and fear turned into anger! At 8 o clock i received a call from Durham directly stating my son would be returned to me for the bus was currently at 29th and grays ferry which is in south philly and we live in West philly My anger grew stronger! My son was finally returned to me between 8:30-8:45pm he was hungry scared and cried in my arms. He knew once he was dark outside he should’ve been home the sad thing of it all was she still had other kids on the bus! I lived a complete nightmare 10/01/18! This situation is now under investigation but it was the worst time of my life
The school has only started a week ago and my son has not been picked up or dropped him off for 5 conservative days. Then when you call its were working on it. Or last year his bus was late picking up cause the bus was stuck at a theme park. I wish my sons school changes bus providers.
The worst service ever. Frequently hours late or no service provided in the morning. Therefore many children are late or absent from school. Often no afternoon pickup from school and must wait until a bus completes its official route before picking up the stranded students and causing them return home anywhere between 6-7pm. Unacceptable. I have made official complaints and nothing has been done.
Durham transportation services is the WORST! My son attends an approved private school through the Philadelphia School District and they have provided UNRELIABLE service even when he attended a public school. They dont show up on time if they show up at all. Then when you call.their company they DONT answer the phone.
I just witnessed a driver on the blvd texting and driving with a full bus of kids. I then called there number and was transferred to safety and nobody answered. I then called back and requested a charter and they picked up. I then asked for a supervisor and the dispatcher told me all supervisors left for the day. This place should loose all contracts with philadelphia schools
Bus 3064 driver on the date of 5/17/18 at 6:20 pm made an illegal left onto Harbisin off the Blvd and almost hit my car. Illegal turns and driving a bus puts kids and other people in danger. This driver needs some safe driving courses and judging from other comments the entire fleet of drivers as well.
I wis I could give a lower seal of approval. This is possibly the worst bus service. The most unpleasant, unprofessional service. My children are never picked up on time if at all. It’s supposed to be a service that both children and parents could benefit from but it’s been nothing but a inconvenience.
My kids were very disappointed when they couldn’t attend a camp trip to Skyzone, this company supposedly had two buses brake down on the way to pick us up smh, unbelievable. So they called us to cancel our trip. So now I’m stuck with 25 disappointed faces on a Friday and it’s impossible to find anotherr bus to take us on our trip at such a last min notice!! 😡 extremely unprofessional !
I completely agree with my fellow parents in stating this company is horrible. The school district of Philadelphia truly needs to investigate their policies and procedures as the inability to contact a live person to discuss any concerns is real. I can not believe they are allowed to transport our children in this unprofessional manner. There contract needs to end immediately.
I would give 0 stars if possible. This company has no regard for the children they serve. Bus didnt show up the first day of school. They doubled up routes leaving kids on the bus for over an hour and a half. It is sad the the Philadelphia School District contracts with such an inept bus company.
If your child is on bus 3436 and on the side GWR 27 500. I would find better transportation. Tonight this bus made a left turn from right lane at Aramingo and Westmorland at 6:00 pm she cut me off on purpose then gave me a dirty look I had to go into on coming lane to prevent hitting the bus. I hope all their drivers are not like her.
One of the bus drivers, who was driving bus #3162, attempted to hit me and my children while we were driving down grays ferry ave on April 5th at around 12:45p. The driver cut us off as we were merging due to construction traffic. The bus driver also had children on their bus who were standing up as they were driving down the road.
This bus company shouldnt be allowed the drive kids and should teach the people that drive them buss and drug test them on the regular cause they drive like the road rule do not apply yesterday i was in a traffic jam bus was so close to my back bumper i could have been driven it then they light a ciggert this morning i seen 3 of them speeding down and CELL PHONE IN HAND THEY SHOULD HAVE A CB RADIO ON THE BUS NOT THERE CELL PHONE
If it wasnt for this one staff member this place would have a 5-star rating they are quick get you in and out very good system very nice staff and teachers but some people are so arrogant and they ruin the whole experience I dropped out of the school even though I was the head of my class in favor for another school because of the Ridiculousness and the disrespect that I received there I would not recommend anyone goes there unless theyre capable of dealing with some sort of childish and unnecessary Behavior
By far the worst company ever never pick kids up and to top it off kicked serval kids off the bus when there were no admin in school building saying your not on the school bus list.Very disgusted with this company you call you get very ratchet people who has no professionalism at all.
No one answers phone when you call dispatch, bus comes 1 hour or two hours late or does not come at all, they do not call parents to inform them that they are not coming or going to be extremely late, I truly wish the Philadelphia school district would pull the contract with this company its just awful

2022-05-18If I could give 0 stars I wouldAnd this has nothing to do with a shortage of bus drivers I had to call 4x to get a definitive answer about pick ups and drop offs. Only after holding for a half an hour then getting transferred to the supervisor who doesn’t answer because of voicemail overload It is just rediculous how you get the run around for basic questions like will your kid get picked up today or not?

2022-06-23This place is for lighter terms.. outdated. Well on the interior of the office. The people here are good. The contracts offered for the cdl-b are pretty bad. If you want to work part time this is the place for you but, 25 hours guaranteed, on the training pay is something that you could achieve anywhere else. Honestly just complaining about the contract they offer. Not a fan of it.

2022-06-06I put in an application went there and tested I didnt hear back or never got called back at all . If I had to guess Id say I feel a little prejudice from this place guess when ur white im the minority with no call back . Cannot give a good review because the ppl I applied with all got hired but me . Go figure can not work for the phila. State when your a white female. Damn lesson learned.

2021-05-25Continuous excuses of were using a sub driver today. When calling the company the dispatchers are rude and could care less if the children arrive to school or home on time. This has happened now several times personally. Just this morning my child was not picked up. Last week was over an hour and a half late getting home. Multiple issues last year before the closing of schools. These issues need to be properly taking care of and soon; children are involved.

2018-11-07I really cant stand this bus company. This is the second year my son has been using this bus company and its been problematic every since. Majority of the time the drivers are late due to broke down buses! My son has been late multiple times and even missed a day because a sub driver never showed up. Then when you call they act like your bothering them and they can never give you a straight answer. This bus company really needs to be out of business in my opinion. Then they have the nerve to tell you, you can take your kids in to school. Absolutely not, I pay tuition and bus services are included in that tuition. I only gave them 1 star because of the driver. Shes very open about what goes on at the company and she does try her best to get the kids to school on time but she will not let them give her a bus thats not safe for our children.

2018-11-16Update November - You would think that things get smoother throughout the school year but there is no golden middle with this bus service. NOBODY EVER answers the phone or calls back. The bus either doesn’t come/ is at least 30 minutes late or comes way to early. We leave the house 15 minutes before the scheduled pick up and many times does the bus just go past us. Recently the pick up time for my children changed to an earlier time and only because we are leaving so early did we find out, from the driver not the dispatch, that our pick up time had moved up by 15 minutes. Buses break down almost on regular base. This bus company makes it almost necessary to win a car. That one star is for the driver because she is nice and 90% of these issues are out of her hands. I just wish she had more oversight to know that if the pick up time is 7:05 and she gets there at 6:50 to wait at least 5 minutes for the kids.September - This is outrages!!!! My kids haven’t been in school since school started and this company is asking me to drive my kids to school. How dare they!!! I rely on this bus to come and take my kids where they need to go ON TIME because I have no other way of getting them to school !!! This is ridiculous... how is this company still being used by the school district??? I am furious!!! someone please put this company out of business...

2018-01-10Durham bus transportation is not reliable! Children stand out in the cold for over 45 minutes waiting for buses that are likely not dispatched when the driver is a no call/no show. They have no valid or reliable backup plan, yet, they sit in heated trailers with little or no concern. It becomes a problem when I have to stand in the middle of the street to flag a bus down to transport the hypothermia children. Its obvious they have caller ID and they pick and choose what calls to answer! Bus route #42 in the CUSD has been a problem since the beginning of school. The children were dismissed at 12:15 and thet did not arrive to their destination well over 3 hours. Several calls made and they COULD NOT locate the driver, nor did he answer any calls! As a concerned parent, this is totally a lack of responsibility for the welfare of the children!!! No one could pinpoint where the bus or the children were! This bus company needs reorganization from the top to the bottom. They have no knowledge or experience with dispatching. Several empty buses ride past consistently and none will stop to alter their routes. Its a problem when children are left outside in the cold for over 45 minutes waiting for a bus that may or may NOT show up. When you have drivers that are no call/no show, then, backup plans should be immediately put into place when temperatures at at or below 20°. Sadly, this is the only bus transportation that is available and obvious failing our children! Durham, you have to do better!!!!

2020-01-07The worse bus company ever. They arrive late for pick up and when they have a substitute drivers the driver drops off children where ever and they do not have a care in the world. It is too much going on with children being snatched off the streets for this to be happening. All they can tell you when you call to complain is sorry. They need to do a better job at equipping the drivers with the proper information for pick up and drop offs. There should be no excuse.

2016-12-14My child has been dropped off at the wrong stop, no bus has come from both locations (our stop and the school). Lack of communication. The driver has been unprofessional the way she speaks with the children. Dispatch is unprofessional with how they speak to the parents/guardians. Supervisor is never available. They never return calls. The list goes on and on.They dont deserve any stars. What do we need to do to get better service? This is not okay. Change needs to be made! They should not be able to operate. I think they are so used to complaints they dont take any of them serious.
