Very disappointing. I guess living closer to actual PA Dutch Country left me feeling very sad when I ate here. Shoo-fly pie was just awful!!!!!! I love shoo fly... And I couldnt even finish eating this one. Didnt think breakfast would be bad... But definitely will not be returning here. 😩

Wow. The food was out of this world. Very very good. Well worth the stop. Old Americana still lives. Quality at its finest. I had dinner with my 80 year old Aunt who I has not seen in 52 years.
Good food and service. Service seemed a little slow but that was probably because of it being fairly crowded. Our server checked up on us often and was very friendly. Also it had easy access on and off to I-80.
Fast, friendly service. Prices were reasonable. We had a fish sandwich and fries. It was the best Ive ever had. We live farther away but when we go to Clearfield we always eat there.
I had never eaten at one of these restaurants and I was impressed. The service was fast and friendly and the food exceeded my expectations. The turkey seemed home cooked. We had two dinners for under $30.
We were just out in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. We ate there two nights in a row. Your food is delicious! There’s a lot I can’t eat but they helped me figure out what I could eat. I’ll come back again if we’re ever up that way! Thank you!

Wifes food was cold. I got the wrong item even after explaining it to Ann three times. Never got my side salad. Another guy who was there couldnt get someone to take his check so he got angry and took it to the kitchen where they told him they couldnt help him. He gave them the check and said he was leaving. Likely wont be back.
The food is good and priced fairly. But the best asset is the staff. I regularly eat breakfast there with a small group, and the staff is so courteous, friendly, and accomodating. I highly recommend.
So good! So delicious! We waited 15 minutes for a seat and it was well worth the wait. I found this place online when looking up our nearby hotel. The photos and menu looked impressive. I can assure you this place is great! James our waiter was on the money and was quick with drink refills, bring nging out our food, and our dessert dishes. They have a pretty long menu which anyone can find something they will enjoy. Dutch Pantry has a small shop at the front with treats, mugs, etc. Excellent experience here. I will gladly return on my next trip.
Excellent server (ask for Tina) shes 5 stars and most of the cooks/breakfast are as well, just once in a while itll lose consistency but still a great value for the most important meal of the day.
Lunch on Monday, enjoyed it. Service great then breakfast Thursday food was as we ordered it. Service also great. Will stop again when we are in the area.
Food 2stars because it seemed veg was canned n potatoes were instant. My country fried steak was mostly coating n wayy too much gravy making it soggy.Rice pudding was good.
I was passing through the area and found this wonderful place. The staff is very nice and friendly. The place was packed with locals lined up waiting patiently to be seated. I snuck in and sat at the round bar. I wasnt sure what to order so I went with something Im used to. I ordered the country fried chicken. It comes with 2 chicken breasts battered and deep fried, then covered with gravy. It was probably one of the best Id ever had. Sitting at the bar, I got to speak with some of the locals who were very nice. After I finished my meal, I snuck over to the waitress and asked for the tickets for 2 gentleman sitting at the bar with me. I said goodbye to the gentleman and walked to the counter to pay for my meal, and secretly paying for the other 2 gentleman. I then left on my way. I can only imagine their surprise to find out that the guy who they were so nice to paid for their meals. I look forward to stopping again when Im in the area again.
I had the special of the day which sas the honey glazed bourbon chicken which was amazing. I got mash potatoes with Turkey gravy and stuffing as my side which tasted perfect. I mean really just all around amazing food. Our server was also really awesome very kind and patient with my kids and my 10year old daughter who was being extremely crabby . Id say if you stop here, eat here. The prices are also amazing we a family of four ate for 40$ and that including desert which all of us but our 3 year old got.

A must visit place when I’m in Clearfield for UMI Motorsports Park events. They have great home style meals and their apple fritters are AMAZING!

This is mid-west country fare complete with Cabbage Rolls and Shoo-Fly pie. Of course they have burgers and other choices that are more standard selections. The service was reasonably fast and friendly. Even though I grew up in Ohio I never had the pleasure of Shoo-Fly Pie so I had the try a piece which was surprisingly tasty.
What a delectable place. Excellent food, warm and friendly staff, and awesome lite candies, mugs, flags, etc in the front to purchase as well.

It looked so cluttered when we went in, we almost walked back out. Is that how all Dutch Pantrys look?I ordered a Steak salad, with no tomatoes, the French fries on the side, and Ranch dressing on the side. When it came, there were no French fries. I asked.....the server said they were on the salad. She didnt hear me ask for them on the side. There were 5 ! French fries on my salad. One was burnt crisp. The steak on the salad was good, but it was the smallest $10 steak salad Ive ever had.My husband had a club sandwich. He substituted cole slaw for fries. His meal was good tasting, but also very small.We had one of those drive by servers, as we call them. When they bring you a drink refill, or an extra napkin, they set it down as they walk past. Its as if we are a bother. We are seeing this in many restaurants.The cashier didnt even ask if everything was okay with our meal or service.This was just an okay lunch for us. We will probably not be back.
Good quality and very reasonable. Had the special, over roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. Ordered a dozen apple fritters for the road. Old fashion Pennsylvania Dutch decor. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. Nice family restaurant and place to stop on the way back home to Buffalo.
Great food, great service, and desserts big enough to share! Highly recommend! We went once on the way to Jersey, and once on the way back home. Home cooked Dutch awesomeness! We will stop here every time we head that way from now on. Enjoy!
My wife and I had breakfast two days in a row. The service was good but the food was not so good.
Not what we were expecting with the name Dutch Pantry- but still good. The ham bean soup was great. The burgers were delicious.The staff is so friendly and helpful- and the decor and shopping selections are so cute and vast.I cant wait to try breakfast here!

Stopped for the night on the way back to NJ from Ohio. Only one restaurant in town that wasnt a fast food chain. So glad we skipped Burger King & came here instead! Amazing country goodness. I thoroughly enjoyed the country fried steak with homemade mashed taters & green beans. Delicious dessert of Apple Fritter Sundae lovingly decorated by our server Cindy. Highly recommend!
Had an excellent experience at this diner off I80. Cynthia took great care of us and the food was excellent. Meatloaf awesome, Ground sirloin plate w/mashed potatoes gravy hit the spot, another party ordered burger fries killer good. Soups and even dessert. I stopped for breakfast. They had a limited menu and I couldnt quite find the thing I wanted. I tried the smoked sausage skillet and enjoyed it (once I added salt and pepper). The coffee was good as was the service. Overall I thought the food was decent and a good value for what they charged. I would stop here again.
Our food was cold. I had a ham steak with a side of green beans. They were cold. My husband had pot roast and potatoes and corn and they were all cold. He had a piece of pie and the serving size was very small. I would not eat here again.

Very clean bathrooms. friendly service. decor and menu like 1970s. a stop here takes some time though. shop of trinkets, towels, coffee cups, coasters, and candy will tempt you too.Parking lot and access is for cars..NOT for RVs or Trucks. too tight turns. Up the there is a truck stop for those.
Staff was great but the food was a little lacking the texture of the lemon meringue pie wasnt smooth it had a chunky texture and not very much of a lemon flavor

There are two almost identical restaurants within 20 minutes of each other, down to the menus, store, everything- it can be confusing!! Weve eaten at both, and both are getting great reviews. The food was amazing here, we tried regular and the traditional Dutch. Loved it all! Highly recommend pretty much any dessert. And strangely enough, my whole family liked the green beans more here.As an added bonus, if youre a geocacher, theres a big one right off the parking lot :)
The breakfast here was absolutely delicious! My husband had the French toast with eggs and sausage. I had an egg white omelet with mushrooms and onions. It was amazing: you can taste the difference from a home cooked meal compared to a chain place. I’m not a home fry fan but the home fries here were amazing. A nice crisp flavor in a delicious seasoning. If you are in the Clearfield area please come here fir breakfast you won’t be disappointed. Staff also very friendly and attentive.
The waitresses and decor whats good as always I ordered their meatloaf would not recommend their meatloaf it wasnt terrible but it was nothing to write home about

We had the pot roast and sirloin tips. Both meals were very good. The waitress was very pleasant! The desserts look absolutely delicious, but we didnt have room for dessert after our meal.
Ordered cheesesteak sandwich and fries,also asked for ketchup and steak sauce and we never got any. My husband also asked for more coffee and he never got any,wanted dessert and were never asked if we wanted any.We come many times in the past and enjoyed our meal and everything.this was one of our worst experiences there we will not be returning again.

We stopped here on our way home from a camping trip. They serve very good home style food. I loved the little shopping area also.. got some candy and a cute decorative sign. I wish we lived closer.

Plentiful and delicious American and Dutch breakfast . Professional service from Anthony and the most appealing options with very reasonable prices. I truly enjoy the gift shop display and variety of items! I found little trinkets that I love so much!
Dinner was good, not special. Brown gravy that came on my mashed potatoes (with liver) looked more like chocolate pudding than gravy. Decor is past quaint to the point of cluttered, almost imposing. Still a lot of folks there, Im just not on a hurry to return.

I would give this place a zero if I could. It has many health issues. We have stopped here a few times in the past ….but when we stopped today for lunch, The service was very slow and when our meal was done mind you only a BLT and a burger (45 minutes). They served it to the wrong table. After it was there for a little bit, she brought the other table’s meal to us. When we told her it was the wrong meals, she promptly took it to their table and gave us the meals she served them. We told her no, she then without an apology took it back. Presumably to get redone but it came back very quickly. Talk about a major health violation under Covid. I couldn’t believe it. When we went to pay the bill, we told the manager about it. He just asked if she fixed. No concern about the health risks and no surprise like it happens all the time. He didn’t offer any compensation as well. That’s the last time we’ll be stopping there.

Well my waitress Brianna was very nice. She was very patient and everything with us and I with them. The food that I ordered wasnt that good steak was overdone and it took a long time. But she helped me out and I got something different. I guess the managers werent there today maybe thats why I dont know.
Driving back from New York i nearly ran out of gas. I wasnt paying attention until the gas light came on and I freaked.Immediately I jumped on Google to see how long it would be on the highway until the next gas station. Luckily I was only 12 miles from this exit. When I was getting gas I noticed this place. Obviously I was living dangerously given my gasoline emergency and lately, I had been finding food places that offered habit food.I dont know if you know what I mean by habit food but what I mean is, I had developed a routine. Italian on Tuesday for lunch, Mexican for dinner in honor of taco Tuesday,,,,, etc... I realized I was ordering the same things as well.Since danger was in my veins that day I decided to go check it out. I didnt even look them up on Google first to check ratings. Was totally living life on the edge that day. Hahaha.How awesome was this place. Soom and pop. Everything made in the back. It was like I teleported into my great grandmothers kitchen and she was still alive cooking. So awesome.I ordered the turkey dinner. Was slow roasted to perfection and came with mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, corn, apple sauce, and and and!!! It was a heap of food that was amazing!!!One bite tasted better than the other and when I was finally full I was only able to get down 3/4 of it. After, I nearly had to roll myself out of there. I was painfully full but it was so worth the discomfort. I would totally come back to this gem again.Only thing I can say is I hope they consider adding one more to the wait staff. Both were amazing and very nice but there were only two to cover I think about 14 or 15 tables. Those girls were hustling to the point of sweating and it was still a little lag between when you would see them back to your table. Had to flag ours down a couple of times. But again everything was awesome!!!

Friendly staff and warm smiles.I met someone there passing through for a meeting.They did not want to eat so the big spender only wanted drinks .He had coffee and I had water and lemon.The waitress was polite while the person I met was not taking advantage of the fine food that Dutch Pantry has to offer .

Yuck! There is less salt in a bag of potato chips. I have NEVER given a bad review but ?ost of the people at the table said the same. However our waitress was charming and a great waitress.

Food and service were both very good. This must recent visit on 1/18/21 was the 2nd time Ive been here. Both times the food was good. Diner type food. The apple dumplings are excellent!! My husband loved the liver and onions too.

A pleasant surprise. When you are traveling you don’t always know what you are going to get.We went for dinner and breakfast. Food was fresh hot and tasty. Country home atmosphere. Reasonable prices. We shared delicious corn fritters, had country fried chicken steak, beans, potatoes, salad and apple pie. Everything was tasty and fresh. (Salad was OK, but taste like bag lettuce.) the veggie omelet was excellent my husband enjoyed his pancakes and ham. Really good!Small country store well stocked with art, crafts, food, candy, special treats and more. Very reasonable prices.Would have given five stars but morning waitress was testy when I asked for our table to be more social distanced. (Which was enough seating to do so)Then she attempted to set a very large couple in a small booth. Hate when hostess/servers are not aware or sensitive. She was not a young person or inexperienced, I guess I expected more courtesy.All in all glad we ate there.

I just had chili and fries. Reminds me of high school and penitentiary chili. It was ok but I wouldnt order again. It did start raining and it dripped at the front door. Dont walk right in when it rains. That dryer in the bathroom is semi impossible.

Ordered the biscuits and gravy ×2 and 2 sweet teas. The gravy was salty as all get out. It was gross. Had to drink drink 3 glasses of sweet tea to get the salt taste out of my mouth. Ordered an order of home fries. They tasted like they had been cooked and reheated. They were gross. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Very nice, cozy, county-themed restaurant. My family & I have eaten here a lot & the majority of the time, have no problems. Unfortunately our last trip here, was not very pleasant. Our waitress took forever to come see us, let alone ever check on us. We waited very very long for our meals, only to have them arrive, warm.. actually hardly warm at all. Our roast beef looked like it’d been burnt & then sat on a stove all day. We ended up not even eating it. Our apple fritters we ordered to go, took again, forever to get to us. We told our waitress about our food, even showed her, and never once did they offer to refund us, or anything.Hopefully things get figured out, because normally their food is very good.

I would recommend traveling a little further and going to the one in Dubois though. The food is much better and you actually get your moneys worth. I got a sweet tea, sauerkraut and sausage with mashed potatoes and green beans. The sauerkraut was ok. Just that. Not good, not horrible. The potatoes pretty bland. Beans no flavor. The sausage was over cooked and kinda chewy - but ok. The tea... was a nightmare. It looked and tasted like dirty water. Super weak and not at all sweet. Husband got chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and seasoned green beans with a soda. Green beans were not seasoned lol potatoes bland. But it was ok. Have had much worse. Biggest thing was the portions? I spent over $30 on very -blah- child sized meals.
Food was ravishingly delectible; staff was very friendly, courteous and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant as it had a quaint small town vibe and delicious affordable food.
Waitress was great! Fun old-fashioned atmosphere. Clean restroom. Menu is not allergy friendly. All I could eat safely was salad, but it was such a huge salad with lots of grilled chicken, that it felt like a decent meal.

Our little family of three stopped for dinner on the way home. Wasnt busy when we got there. The waiter was polite but kept screwing up our orders. We got our entrees BEFORE our salads....mine had brown broccoli in it. Our kiddos food n my hubbys was fine except slow on his refills. My burger was red n a little slimey.Next time I might only go to our dubois one. Never had a problem there.
We just got through an ice storm where I 80 was shut down and our nerves were on edge so we decided to stop here. What a delightful surprise! I had the cobb salad and my husband got the Philly steak and cheese sandwich. My salad was great. Fresh greens great bacon and chicken and much more. His food was generous and fries crunchy. We had our eye on the fresh apple fritters so when we paid our bill we ordered them. They made them fresh so they were warm when we got back in the car. Once we drove out of the ice we each had one and WOW! So delicious. They give you 3. Thats good because these are addictive! We saw a large table of Amish families sitting in there too. That was nice. It was cozy with delicious food. Worth the stop!
Very uniquely decorated plan. Good old fashioned home cooking menu and good food. It was very crowded, but still found a table to sit at. Order was taken quickly and food came out nice and hot. Food was delicious. Waitress was right on the ball, yet still took time to be friendly and chatty. Nice place, will go again.

We had a positive experience on a previous visit and decided to stop here today while traveling across PA. So glad we waited to eat here. The food was incredible and the server was easily able to explain exactly what was in each menu item. The food arrived quickly and very hot. The portions were generous and I left with a take-home bag. We also got the apple fritter balls for the ride and cant wait to eat them later.The waitress was friendly and efficient. We even spent money in the gift area as they had a game we had been looking to buy. Lets just say Im excited for our return trip home so we can stop here again.
Delicious breakfast, loved the decor.... it felt so warm and cozy! Tina was an awesome waitress that made sure our coffee was always topped off! We were amazed to learn that there are only 3 Dutch Pantry restaurants left.
This place was amazing. They were having a throw back sale. Four dinner choices at 70s prices. Either $1.95 or $2.95. Four of us ate for $25 and that included an appetizer and dessert at regular price plus a generous tip. I expected a lesser quantity of food at these prices. Nope...a perfect portion. The sliced white bread was kinda kitchy, but part of the 70s vibe. Been here twice while traveling to NY. Would stop in every time. Good food at a good value with great service. And always, always, always order the apple fritters. Those are to die for.

I had the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and corn. Very good meal. Steak was tender, corn was sweet and potatoes were real not instant. Would have been even better with a dinner roll. We had bread pudding for dessert, it was warm and moist. Service was fast and friendly. Will be eating here again.
Wonderful atmosphere Excellent waitress. Rebecca was very friendly .The food was great. And they served shoefly pie. My favorite. The prices were really good.
The food is only decent, I suppose (usually comes out slightly warmer than room temperature, or just plain cold), as well the the establishment itself is only decently clean. Its very cluttered in here. Im giving 2 stars because the staff is always very pleasant, and the gift shop part of it has cute things.

The atmosphere is very much like a Cracker Barrel. The food is similar I supposed to a Dennys. The advantage of this place over a Dennys would be that it has a very clean feel and while the food was not great it was fine for what I paid and what I was expecting. For example the salad was very plain but just what I was looking for. Service was excellent.
Such a calm cute atmosphere! Staff was excellent and everything was nice and clean!! Recommend the fork tender post roast over mashed potatoes instead of stuffing but I dont like stuffing 🤷. Hot Apple sauce is a must but only in the early hours or its burnt tasting!!

Had the Chopped Beef Steak on Sunday Oct 25 take out ...Wanted it well done...When I got it Home it was Med well done and the fries tasted like they were made the night before.......Eat 1/2 of the steak and gave my dog the rest but he did eat it...Meal was not very good at all..One of the few bad ones I have got there
The Cobb and Oriental Salads are both decent. A tad pricey. But not bad.
The food was adequate. All of our plates had lots of fat on the meat and it was served lukewarm. The table wasn’t clean as it had a sticky residue on it. We waited 10 minutes before even being greeted and another 15 for our order to be taken. The restrooms were in a great need of a deep cleaning. I can’t recommend eating here.

We ordered breakfast. Our home fries were luke warm so the waitress took them back to the microwave. The biscuits are as dry as sawdust and you only get ONE little pat of jelly for two full slices of toast. It was better than cold cereal across the street at the Super 8 where we stayed the night. Nothing to write home about at the Pantry.

Rating more like 3 1/2 stars, dinner was decent for the cost, desserts were either too sweet (sundae) or had way too much nutmeg (bread pudding). Better than most fast food for sure. Waitress was attentive and relatively fast.
Service is good here. Food is always above mediocre. The best thing on the menu is the country fried chicken. It is phenomenal. Desserts are really good and the prices are very reasonable. I really liked the creamy sweet and sour dressing that they make.

Nice looking place and setup. If you like canned veggies and medium sized portions for American country style food then great. Maybe the breakfasts are better then the entres. Was expecting more generous portions and homemade and home cooked. Not going back.
I am very disappointed, I ordered food to go and when I got back to my motel room, very little food in the box! Very dry, I called and talked to the assignment manager, he didnt care! Dont waste your money. Worse than McDonalds food.

This was the restaurant that our Reserve Company 629th Transportation...used to feed us when getting ready for Iraq in 2003. Always good food.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and clean. The food was mediocre. The eggs were not real eggs, the bacon was ready made bacon, and sausage was cooked too long. French toast wasnt very good. Not much flavor. Prices were pretty high for quality of food. It most definitely wasnt the worst place I ever ate, but I was a little disappointed in it.
The food was down home comfort food and quite good. The staff was friendly. The resteraunt was clean.

The Dutch Pantry Restaurant is a must stop along I-80. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they do care about the hungry motorist. The décor is that of when the interstate was built. The restroom are as always clean and in good working order. The food is always fresh and prepared just like home.
Cute place. I stopped on a road trip. It was easy to get on and off the highway (Rt 80). Its very similar to a (very small, family owned) version of cracker barrel. Cute little gift shop area. Food was good. Service was good. They also had vegan and vegetarian options.
This is a fantastic restaurant. Ive had the pleasure of eating here a few times with my family and there has never been an issue. I really like the old homey atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. To be honest, Id come here simply for the shoe fly pie!

Mixed BagIve had very mixed experiences at this location. Sometimes the food is done just right and is quite good, other times they get orders wrong, the foods cold, or the wait staff arent with it.They also have a small selection of souvenirs and such from the area.Prices arent terrible, but the service isnt quite on par with what you pay. It honestly tastes only somewhat comparable to Cracker Barrel but the portions are smaller.
Sounds better than it is. Turkey dinner is great but the salads are to be avoided - browned, wilted iceberg lettuce. Cute shop and decor with crafts and homemade jams for purchase. Customer sevice was decent, and wait staff were very courteous and helpful.

Ive eaten here several times. The service is usually pretty good, and the food is outstanding. The fork-tender pot roast and the mushroom Swiss burger are some of the best Ive ever had!! In my opinion Dutch Pantry is overall the best place to eat in the Clearfield area. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars and not 5 is their dessert menu is a bit skimpy and could use some more choices.
Excellent traditional American country-styke food - stopped for breakfast one day while heading west, then for dinner the next day on eastbound journey. Surprisingly good quality cooking at bargain prices.
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was delicious, the interior had a great atmosphere, and the service was friendly.

2021-12-27Dutch Pantry Family Restaurant is the perfect spot for breakfast. The home cooking is always delicious. Make sure you try one of the fresh apple fritters!! And the cozy dining room makes for such a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. The service is extremely friendly, and the space is clean. I also enjoy looking around at the items in the country store.

2022-04-30Good food, good service. Steak was OK but, the gravy was excellent. The toast was soft on one side crispy on the other. LOVED IT. Reminded me of the ol school way Id cook toast in the oven. Potatoes were very good as well. Why the 4 instead of the 5. The restroom was gross. Kegged on po#$, was obviously left overnight & wasnt cleaned. To be honest it looked like no one has cleaned that toilet in a while. Almost 3 🌟 my review it was that bad.

2022-04-17This is the first time Ive been here and loved it. I live about 40 min away but just never remembered it was here. We came for the Easter special and the ham was really tasty and tender, the rest was basic mashed potatoes and green beans. Pretty basic food but the service was great! And after we ate I enjoyed looking at some of the things for sale, farmhouse decor vibe. The restroom was very clean!! A very neat place I can imagine will become a regular stop for us. Very cozy with antique decor.

2022-06-19If youve ever had good food before, do not come here. My Sweet tea was maybe 10% tea, 1% sugar, and 89% not worth my time. Coleslaw taste exactly like the smell of freshly cut wet grass. Mashed potatoes are instant. Gravy was decent. Pepsi was flat, never got the water I ordered. Hopefully PA food isnt all this bad. Welcome to the north.

2022-04-29I took my family here while we were on a cross country road trip. I had the country fried steak breakfast. Ive had 100s of these breakfasts from places and the one here at Dutch Pantry was the absolute best by far. I finished my meal with a slice of their Philadelphia Strawberry Cheesecake and OMG it was Heaven in my mouth. The staff are very friendly and truly care for their guests. If I travel to Pennsylvania again I will definitely be stopping here. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

2022-04-11Unfortunately the waitress was more interested in her phone. Only got one round of drinks. Never got asked if we needed anything. The waitress questioned me asking for dressing for my side salad and then acted shocked when I reminded her of my side salad. Leaving took forever as my partner and I had to wait for the woman at the register to get off her phone. The food was at least decent and I enjoyed my pasta so I cant give it a total of 1 star. 2 stars for food and 0 stars for the service.

2022-05-29Stopped here on our way to Ohio. We had to park behind the building because they dont have parking for people who have campers. Came for lunch and they were still hanging out breakfast menus. The womens bathroom smells gross and definitely needed attention. The food was great. Service was great.
