Originally, I was looking for a reputable computer service to purchase a refurbished Apple computer. An hours research online showed me I wanted to stay as far away as possible from the geniuses at the Apple Store. Scorpion Computers received so many excellent reviews on Yelp I decided to try them.The reviews were correct, based on my experience, in that they revealed an expert shop with techs willing to provide excellent customer service with honesty. It is evident to me from the way they are replying to the complaints that they are not disreputable.Ultimately, the refurbished un-Apple laptop they sold me was a disappointment, but not because of anything they did wrong. Rather, it was due to my lack of product knowledge and limited funds. So I returned it to them and made them promise me that they would donate it to a school or charity.When I bought a new laptop online for a better deal than they could offer me, the trust I have for their ethical business practices led me back to their shop for any subsequent servicing and repair despite my warranty.One of the perks of doing business with them is being in Port Richmond where some of the best Polish food is available either in a restaurant setting or deli.
I have used Electronic Repair Center for my business needs for years. We have been able to purchase used computers at very reasonable rates and service has been top notch. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants a fair and honest company for electronic repairs!
Scorpions Computers is my local go to computer shop. Ive lived in Port Richmond for past 20 years and this is exactly the place this neighborhood needed. Before i was stuck with geek squad which was far away and unreliable. I have used Scorpion Computers many times over the years. Both for computers and cellphones. Their service is always quick and on point. They are always happy to provide me with any information that i need. There is also nice selection of laptops, PCs for sale. I almost forgot Scorpion Computers also fixes games consoles. Theyre actually one of few places in Philly that have special hardware for fixing them. I lucked out with my playstation cause i was almost sure i will need to buy a new one. It was fixed the same day and for reasonable place. Ive recommended this place to family and friends over and over and never heard any complaints. Two thumbs up!
This has been a third time I used Scorpion Computer to assemble a custom built computer for me and once again I am very happy with the result. I use these desktops for work and they stay powered on all day, everyday, and as with previous custom built desktops, the reliability here is unmatched. I’ve had HPs, Dells, and other desktops before as well and they never withstood the test of time for me. Needless to say, if you are looking for great custom built desktop look no further than these guys.
I would never trust Staples or Best Buy with any of my computers after giving Scorpion Computers a visit. They made sure that my new pc was put together properly and worked like a charm. Will definitely be coming back.
Heres my story:I had recently purchased parts to build my own custom computer. I put it all together and it worked perfectly. After about a month it turned off and wouldnt turn back on. After failing to troubleshoot the problem myself, I looked up local computer repair shops in my area and stumbled upon Scorpion Computers. I went in with my computer, told them what happend, and they took it in. During the time they had my computer, they did everything they could to resolve the issue. It turned out a number of my parts were faulty and they were able to order comparable parts and install them for me in a reasonable time period. They are friendly, trustworthy, and, most importantly, highly skilled at their profession. You can rest easy knowing that your technology is in good hands. I highly recommend making Scorpion Computers your first destination for all your computer related needs.
Im happy that they fixed my playstation but unfortunately it came back with a different cover and someone elses data in it. I had to reset it and log back into my own account. Also I dont know where they keep the playstations but mine smelled like old food. Overall it looked really bad after it came out of there but Im happy that it finally gets signal to the tv again.
Fixed me PS3 here a while ago and that still runs, now they did hdmi port repair for me as well on my PS4. Every time these guys come through with great results. Knowledgeable staff that WILL spend half an hour or more talking technology with you. I am glad places like that are still around.
I really wish I could give them a better review becaue overall they seem like nice people but my phone screen was sticking out when i got it back. Because of this it cracked easily in my pocket. The second time they repaired it it was not sticking out anymore. So basically they perhaps dont fully oay attention to detail and the repair job might be a little botched. I had to pay twice to g eff t it right.
Not the best repair shop Ive been too. Waited Two and a half weeks for a simple battery and phone backing piece swap out of a galaxy seven. Was told it would take only one week. After receiving no call or notification, I walked into the shop to talk with somebody face to face. One of the workers commented that the person who sold him the part sold him a damaged part, so he had to re-order. I simply told him it would have been nice to be in the loop with whats going on. Phone battery still drains, but I cant blame that on them, as it could be a bigger issue. Just wish customer service was more on point.
I love them! My Macbook Pro had water damage and Apple wanted an arm and HEART to fix it and Scorpion quoted me less than half the price and it was done quickly! Even with moving out of state, I will ship my computer to them! They are AWESOME SAUCE!
Great response time, friendly and knowledgeable technicians. Their prices are as advertised, no hidden up charges or fees, just tax...I know that I can rely on Scorpion Computers for fast and affordable repair. These guys will go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service. On one occasion I knocked some coffee onto my laptop during a typical morning rush to work...I phoned into Scorpion and knowing that time was of the essence Wojtek offered to meet me at my office to pickup what I feared would end up a dead weight of a laptop. A couple days later and my Macbook was up and humming like her old self - no need to schedule an appointment and wait around at the Genius bar! I highly recommend these guys!
I had broken my laptop screen and recently had it repaired by Scorpion. The experience was great and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I come across.Id contacted Scorpion and one other computer shop in the city after my laptop screen broke, and after a bit of emailing back and forth decided to go with the former. They responded to my emails in a timely matter and were able to answer most of my questions.. They were even kind enough to come to my job to pick up the laptop, doing the same with dropping it off as well.They kept me up to date throughout and worked pretty fast even though the area was hit with a couple of snow storms.Im extremely grateful for everything they did. The screen works perfectly and looks exactly the same.
I recently brought my PC to Scorpion Computers looking for assistance in upgrading my graphics card. I was seen right away and had my PC back within a few hours. The staff at Scorpion were prompt, friendly, and kept open communication throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for help with your computer or other electronic devices.
Our PS3 unit was freezing so I did a search for PS3 repair in Philadelphia. I saw the videos that Scorpion Computers posted to YouTube and took it to them for repair. I had a custom Built Gaming computer That needed repair and Instead of sending it back to Calif. for repair I took a shot and Googled Computer repair in Phila area and Their name came up and so did a lot of others but the reason they stood out was the testimonials and the reviews that were really great so I took a shot and instead of paying over 200.00 dollars shipping to send it to Calif. I went with Scorpion and they did a great job that cost less than the shipping! way less!ThankxChris.p
This was my first time here. These guys are awesome! They walked me thru the problem that I could be having with my computer via telephone BEFORE I got there. Then when I left my computer for a repair I was reassured that everything would be ok. The next day I was called to pick up my computer. These guys are honest. I thought it was a problem but in reality the inside was just dusty. I was not overcharged for repairs that were not completed. I would def recommend!!! Especially considering that my computer is over 13 years old!!!!!
Scorpion Computers gets the job done quickly and efficiently. I looked around for prices everywhere else and they were the most reasonable with the quickest turn around. They were also courteous and professional. I will never go anywhere else for my computer needs.
Rebranded, with the same owner, they moved to a smaller location in the rear of the building, but they offer the same great services as always. Playstations, XBOXes, laptop and desktop computers are still being repaired, with the same great 6 month warranty
Scorpion computers live up to their word replaced hdmi port in two days for responsible rate plus received a 6 month warranty, free tee shirt, and great customer service. I love these guys!!!!
It seems many people dont know that computers, phones can be fixed. Ive been saving my electronics many times already with scorpion. They are awesome. I can only imagine how many times I would be buying a new laptop after the other if not scorpion.
Great people to do business with. Playstation was cleaned and hard drive upgraded to 2 TB. All in the matter of 2 days. It doesnt sound like an airplane anymore. Yay!
They told me they can fix my Samsung for 130. Later they said 240 because the guy made a mistake. Then a third time as Im handing my credit card he says they forgot to add the labor charge and it will be 300.
My desktop was dead in the water. It would not go through the POST process. The issues were resolved by Scorpion to my satisfaction. They were friendly and even offered some great advice. I would recommend them to anyone who has any computer issues.
As a mother of 3, we have a total of 8 Mobil devices, 2 laptops and 2 desktops in our household and i always come to scorpion computers to repair the iphones and ipads, laptops etc when screens crack or something malfunctions. Apple Store is expensive and requires an entire day to get anything done. The guys at SC are quick, inexpensive and do a fantastic job repairing all type of devices. I would recommend these guys to anyone.
My system crashed with a blue screen dump. I was searching in Philadelphia for a computer repair shop. I have never had this type of problem before.Called Scorpion as soon as they opened. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a remote service and started with virus scanning. I took my laptop into their store since it was close by.These guys know their stuff. I never would have guess my problem was caused by a virus. I have been online for twenty years and never had this type of computer problem. Boy was I wrong. They removed my hard drive, tested the system, and found the problem.Very inexpensive fix. If you need computer help try these guys. You will not be disappointed. My PS3 stopped working. The problem I was experiencing was the red light of death. I did some research on the internet and found Scorpion Computers in Philadelphia are experts at PS3 repair. They had the knowledge and the equipment to do the repair correctly. After two years of not being able to use my console, these guys revived it from the dead. Great customer service and fast! I was in philly on business trip. Dropped my laptop and lost my hard drive. Googled Scorpion Computers on my phone and had them fix my laptop for me. All it took these guys was one day to turn my laptop around. And best part is I got a solid state drive instead of old fashion hard drive, all for the same price. These guys are fantastic!!! Fixed my beloved ps3 and sony vaio. They love what they do I can tell. I recommend any one who has any electronic ailments to go see em. Then when your done you can go a block down the street and go to wawa. Everyone loves wawa. Lol.

2020-03-19I had my doubts coming in, because their shop is tiny. Just one room, at the end of a hallway. But the guy was very knowledgeable, and he explained everything to me in a way I understood it. Also the fact that they warrantied their work made me feel better about having my computer repaired there. I got quoted 3-4 days which is reasonable, but still with this virus going around, it felt like forever. But I have my computer now, it has a solid state drive installed and it is blazing fast. Excellent workmanship, and I am very happy I didnt have to drop bunch of money on new computer.

2020-03-11Ive gone here for years now and they never fail to fix what the issue is- and at a good price. You have to be able to trust someone you had your cellphone or laptop over to. Sometimes Ive been able to salvage a phone or laptop and avoid having to buy a new one for another year. Definitely worth the trip to at least ask their opinion. The owner is a little rough around the edges but he totally knows what hes talking about. And he talks a lot. Smart guy though. Id not go to any other computer repair place than this in Philly.

2021-03-16Very very VERY unreliable. Strangely and confusingly unreliable and unresponsive... and Ive noticed in the other reviews others have experienced the same thing.. So I called them to see if i could bring in my Macbook pro for a battery replacement. In very clear wording I was told to bring in my laptop the following Monday. I called before hand to let them know i would bring it in, rang about 8 times but no pick up. I call a few more times, still no one answers. I figure theyre busy so I just come since I was told before over the phone to come on Monday. I get there no one opens the door. I call them again... this time after every call i get hung up on after 2-3 rings. Seems like theyre there but just dont want to open the door or answer my calls. I even call the next day, and still no response.Why are you running a business like this? Do you not want my money? Either way im gladly spending my money elsewhere. SERIOUSLY do not waste you time coming here. If a business cant even professionally handle a simple phone call, or call you back, the last thing I would want is to let them service my electronics. There are many better repair places in the city- and ones who actually value their customers at that.

2017-01-18They had excellent service and very helpful advice. I had to get my PS4 hdmi port fixed, so I bought it in, Wednesday afternoon and it was ready for pick up the next day at noon. They are very fast and efficient, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

2015-12-04They fixed a broken HDMI port in my PlayStation 4 for $20 less than Sony would have charged and in less time. Their warranty is also twice as long. The staff was very courteous and professional and Ill gladly go back to them if I have any problems with any of my other electronics. A great example of why supporting local businesses is valuable.

2019-12-04Took in my 2yr old Lenova laptop for suspected battery problems/wouldnt hold charge. Excellent service; resolved the problem without immediately replacing battery or charging port when they easily could have jumped to conclusions. Computer back to working great. Will go here again without question.

2020-03-11I’ve had several devices fixed here and have always received great service. Quick turnaround, fair prices, good customer service, would absolutely recommend! There was a bald guy working there who was very rude but now that he’s gone I’m very happy with the service.
