We had a fantastic experience working with Emily Chelsea Jewelry to get the perfect engagement ring and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone!We primarily worked with Sam, who was able to take my fiancées input and help make her dream ring come to life. They made the entire process interesting and fun, and never once did we feel like we were being rushed to make a sale like we were at other jewelers. I was referred to Emily Chelsea for a custom engagement ring and could not be happier with our experience. The design team was communicative and a breeze to work with. I really had no idea what I was doing, and they walked me through the entire process. My fiance loved her ring so much that we went to the gallery together and designed a custom wedding band for her as well. I even ended up finding my wedding band there as well! We had a wonderful experience working with Sam and the team at ECJ. We designed a semi-custom engagement ring that incorporated an heirloom stone, and the entire process was easy, fun, and pressure-free. Sam also assured me that my stone wouldnt be removed from the old setting if it ultimately wasnt safe to do so, so I knew I was leaving it in good hands. The finished ring is stunning and I have received several compliments on it. We will definitely be back for our wedding bands!

My 30 year old wedding band had to be cut to remove it from my finger. The team at Emily Chelsea has been wonderful in helping me replace and remodel it, and even suggested a way to incorporate a piece of the old ring into the new one. The communication with the team was fantastic, I felt very well taken care of during the whole process, and I am extremely happy with my new ring!

I had a wonderful experience with Emily Chelsea Jewelry.I reached out remotely in search of a deep forest green stone for an engagement ring. Sam replied to my request and I could not be more pleased with the service I received. Sam is one of the reasons I chose to go with this green sapphire that I’d never even seen in person before. When I asked other places if I could see photos in different lighting before deciding if it’s worth it to move forward, they would either say “sorry, we don’t have any,” “no, we can’t do that,” or send me one shockingly low quality photo. Sam was so patient with me, provided me with more than I asked for (multiple photos and videos!), and really made me feel comfortable taking this leap. I’m blown away by the care Sam put into my search and I just can’t speak enough praises. I’m so happy and grateful for their help. The ring is gorgeous in person and I love it!Natalie did my renderings and was also very thorough and patient with me, which I really appreciated!Congrats Emily on a lovely team and a business with beautiful morals!
Natalie at Emily Chelsea designed THE PERFECT pinky ring using diamonds from my grandmothers ring paired with yellow sapphires from Montana. The process was so fun. I loved Natalies knowledge about the stones and her eagerness to make the perfect piece to celebrate my grandmother. Its a one-of-a-kind never seen anything like it piece. I will definitely be returning for any custom pieces in my future.

I did A LOT of reserach on where I wanted to get an engagement ring. Once I found Emily Chelsea, I knew I found the perfect shop. Their work is beautiful, the business is independently women-owned, they care deeply about the ethics of jewlery-making, theyre social justice oriented, and their Instagram page is a delight. I went in a few times to figure out exactly what I wanted, and they were always so helpful. When the ring ended up being slightly too small, they resized it free of charge. Im looking forward to going back to work on my wedding band soon!
I went to see other jewelers around Philadelphia, but all of them were the same. When I walked into Emilys shop, I knew this was where I was going to create my fiancés perfect engagement ring. Her shop is so inviting and cozy. I went in to see her for a consultation and after we talked for a little bit about style and budget she starting designing my fiancés engagement ring right then and there! I could perfectly envision it and I knew Emily was the right person to work with. She is so knowledgeable and very transparent about the process. Emily only works with recycled diamonds and metals and knows why she works with them, rather than saying these diamonds are conflict free like most other jewelers. Beyond being LGBT friendly, she is such a kind person who really made this part of the wedding planning process effortless and fun.Emily repurposed a diamond passed down to me to create my fiancees engagement ring. Emily made me feel like the diamond was in safe hands and her design went above and beyond what I could have envisioned. My fiancee and I loved how the engagement ring turned out so much that we didnt think twice when deciding to have Emily design our wedding bands. She designed our bands to compliment one another while also somehow maintaining our individual style. The only downside is that we have to wait until our wedding day to wear them! Throughout the entire process she was patient, understanding, and exhibited the utmost care.
I couldn’t be happier with my custom wedding ring that Emily made for me. The combination of the wheat pattern design along the band with the light blue Montana sapphires truly compliment each other for a stunning glimmer in the sunshine with a nature inspired look. When I first held it I was shocked at how intricate all the detailing was along the band, especially with the milgrain edge, all while still feeling weight to the ring. I was particularly looking for a durable ring that would stand up to everyday wear and while my ring appears delicate, it feels very solid and not at all fragile.Emily was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. I bought an engagement ring with ECJ and had an excellent experience. At first, I was concerned about the whole process being done remotely. But from picking the stone to the design to the 3D/wax model, ECJs staff were able to communicate in a timely manner and provide plenty of pictures and objectivity to guide me through the process. I got the ring about 10 weeks from when I initially contacted them, and its worth the wait.
I heard about ECJ from a friend of mine after they designed a custom engagement ring for her fiance. She told me they were super responsive, did everything digitally if needed, and offered high quality diamonds with a fair price. Plus, being LGBTQ-inclusive jeweler of the year the last two years was huge. From start to finish, this entire process was stress-free. Sam and I had at least a 100+ email thread of back and forth that brought my custom vision from conceptualization all the way through to the finished product. I was extremely impressed and happy with how fast responses were, how clear Sam and the team were in deadlines and status updates, and how flexible they were in shipping this ring INTERNATIONALLY while I was deployed. She was incredibly professional, with a deep attention to detail and kindness in making sure that we had exactly the right rings that we wanted. Years ago I saw a picture of a custom sapphire engagement ring and I immediately fell in love, so when it came time for my SO and I to look for engagement rings I couldnt stop thinking about the one I saw made by Emily! He got into contact with her through email and set up the plans for my own custom ring with everything I wanted and within the budget he wanted to spend. She even went to a gemstone convention with my requests in mind and together they picked out the perfect blue-green Montana sapphire. She was always incredibly nice and professional, willing to answer our questions, and flexible with our needs; not to mention she created the most beautiful and perfect ring that symbolizes our love and commitment. I get so many compliments on it and I love to show it off!! Even when we had to send it back for sizing, it was complimentary and wonderfully fast! I cant wait to work with her on creating our wedding bands! I couldnt be happier
Emily was incredible to work with for my wife’s engagement ring and wedding band! She was extremely knowledgeable and patient throughout the whole process. Perfect. Thats all my fiancé keeps saying about her ring and its all I could ever hope to hear. I catch her staring at it time and time again when she thinks Im not looking. Emily had some rings on her site that my fiancé liked, but I wanted to surprise her with something she wouldnt be expecting and that incorporated other elements she previously mentioned wanting in a ring. The entire process with ECJ was very easy to design something custom. She was very communicative and responsive to my input every step of the way and I felt able to trust her judgement in the end (given I live on the other side of the country and couldnt physically see the final ring). When my proposal date had to be moved up, she was even able to help accommodate the new deadline. She also was respectful of budgetary matters and, as a company, supports LGBTQ+ inclusivity and ethical materials which I find to be very important when deciding a jeweler to support/work with.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Emily. When the moment came for me to decide I want to marry my girlfriend, I knew I had to do something special for her. She’s like me, and wants to put her money in places that support local establishments. I knew places like Zales and Tiffany were out of the question. I wanted something handmade, with responsibility sourced material.My story on how I found Emily is a little too long for a google review, but the short story: I ended up finding a ring my now fiancé really liked on social media, which was made by Emily. I was able to find that “like” on her social media by going through the people and places she follows, which led me to Emily’s page. From there, Emily reconstructed that same ring with me, and added things to make it more unique to us. We designed the exact ring she was in love with from that photo.When it came to the gems, I was very picky and couldn’t find the one that was calling out to me. We spent some time looking at new gems, and she even overnighted a new set from her miner so I had more options to look at.I highly recommend her for everything jewelry related. You’ll leave smiling. Even the turnaround time was quick for something being handmade, and her communication was great. I always knew where we were in the process. We could not be happier that we chose to get our engagement ring from Emily Chelsea. I knew the idea of finding a local jeweler that used recycled metals and repurposed stones would be appreciated by my fiancee so that appealed to me right away.I wasnt sure of exactly what I wanted, but right away the Montana sapphires appealed to us. 2022-08-04My fiancée and I love our Emily Chelsea engagement rings!! Sam sourced two unique and stunning sapphires for our center stones, which was a fun and exciting process. Emily helped me custom design my ring, and she did such an amazing job turning my ideas into a gorgeous heirloom piece. Our rings are quite different in style, but they complement each other so beautifully. We selected wedding bands when we visited the showroom, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We loved our experience at ECJ, and we love that our rings were made with ethically sourced materials, by a company that vocally supports the queer community. We traveled from Connecticut to work with the crew at Emily Chelsea, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Emily and the entire ECJ team guided me through a custom designed reset that preserved the deep meaning of my original stones and framed the stunning beauty of the heirloom diamond that was my great grandmothers. 2022-06-02Incredible experience with the ECJ team. I knew nothing about custom jewelry and really needed some help from Emily to turn my vision into a reality. The design session was enjoyable and relaxed. They helped turn a crazy email from my future wife into an amazing vintage inspired engagement ring. 2022-04-07I couldnt be happier and more satisfied with my experience with the team at Emily Chelsea. They were warm, welcoming, and most important (in my opinion), they listened to what I wanted and didnt attempt to sell me on anything that I wasnt looking for. Feeling like youre being heard when youre in an anxious situation like buying an engagement ring goes a very long way in my book.I worked with Sam, who listened and gave me a few options that fit exactly what we were looking for. They were extremely transparent with pricing and lead time.The ring they made is gorgeous, and my fiancé loves it. One thing I really appreciated was how Sam looked at a photo of my partners hand and just knew that we had to go 1 size smaller than what I told her. Low and behold, the ring fits like a glove - it made my proposal that much more special having a ring that fit and didnt need to be resized.I 100%, without a doubt, would recommend Emily Chelsea and her team for anyone looking for a special engagement ring. I plan on going back for our wedding bands. :)

I originally found their work on instagram and not only loved the beautiful designs, but also how clear their commitment was to inclusivity and ethical sourcing--so much so, that we traveled from New York to work with them.My fiancee and I went through the custom engagement ring process, but we honestly started with very little idea of what we wanted. Despite that, the team were all so patient and helpful; they helped us find our way to rings we both truly loved and were so kind throughout the process. And they were always transparent about pricing and timeline.They also went to extra lengths to help my significant other surprise me with a proposal, even though we were going through the design process together. After I received my ring, we realized there was a prong that was scratching me, but the team at Emily Chelsea worked to quickly remedy the issue and kept us updated throughout.We would wholeheartedly recommend the Emily Chelsea team to anyone (and already have!). So many people weve described the custom process to have said they were envious. We are definitely going back for our wedding bands.

2022-07-19I was so thrilled by every step of our wedding ring process at Emily Chelsea. After receiving my gorgeous engagement ring (thoughtfully designed with family stones) I was so so excited to be able to be a part of the process for our bands/meet the awesome people behind my beloved ring! Sam was warm, down to earth, and super helpful guiding us towards our dream bands. They were communicative between meetings and the whole team was so efficient in getting our bands done. The atmosphere is welcoming - you almost want to hang out there forever. I cant wait until October when we will finally wear the bands!

2022-07-28We found Emily Chelsea through Instagram and we have been absolutely thrilled with everything about the ring design process from start to finish.We began with re-designing and re-creating an engagement ring, then loved the ring so much we both purchased our wedding rings and brought along Mom to re-design her engagement ring using her heirloom diamond.Natalie and Sam are fantastic at what they do. The entire staff is communicative, professional, and fully focused on helping to facilitate a great experience with a beautiful end result.
