My husband and I stopped here while walking around town. We got a caramel macchiato and some chicken tenders. Both were delicious! The customer service was awesome! Definitely recommend this place!
9 am open time is way late to sell coffee to the working members of the world.... And they arent even open at 9:30 once you make the drive out here.
Great place if you shop online on WISH... this gentleman is a perfect person to pick up your items from. He is very polite, professional, kind, and shop is BEAUTIFUL and super clean kept. Stopped into Empire for a quick brekky sandwich and coffee on my way home from a roadtrip. Absolutely the friendliest and best service Ive ever experienced at a breakfast cafè; they make you feel like youre family. I had an egg and cheese on a portugese roll and my friend had an egg and cheese on a bagel, both were simply incredible! The coffee and cappuccinos were great and unique as well. Highly recommend Empire; I know that Ill be coming back next time Im in the area. : )p.s. there are also some really dope murals on a few building just across the street from Empire / in downtown Bangor. Great little easter egg.
Fantastic experience every time I enter. Local business owners that are super friendly, and all of their desserts are homemade! If you’re in downtown Bangor I absolutely recommend checking this hidden gem out!
The food is awesome and the customer service is outstanding. The customer service alone makes us want to come back. Definitely a place to try to for great breakfast!
In town for two meetings with customers and my first appointment canceled last minute leaving me 3 hrs till the next. I was fortunate to come across Empires Coffee allowing me to grab a great breakfast sandwich on a fresh roll with a coffee for just under $3.50. Most coffee shops are very small leaving you struggling to find a spot to plug in and open up the laptop but this has plenty of space to kill time comfortably. Highly recommend and especially for those cutting through town in need of a stop.
Definitely worth the trip. Food, drinks and pastries were great! Social distancing practiced and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely visit again!

Coffee was gross, old, and cold. Cafe wasnt very clean. Guy behind counter was nice but the kid who hangs around who Im assuming is a relative had his phone blasting over the cafes music, extremely annoying. Definitely will not be back.
We love their food. Homemade empanadas, scrambled egg bowls, and the most delicious paninis. The owners are wonderful and friendly people. Its a cozy place to work or hang out. It even has access to a pokestop while inside for players of Pokemon Go.
They have great food great service and the prices are very low I believe in supporting your local merchants in your community

We found this place after staying at a airbnb in Bangor and were glad we did. We like coffee...a lot! The coffee they use here is Portuguese and it is smooth and creamy. Great equipment in the store. Its an odd set up and we almost drove by it. Looks like and old 5 and dime store, and it has clothing racks in the back and seating inside and out. We sat outside and they brought our order to us. Prices were great too. Coffee was delicious, waffles were good and everyone we met was friendly and helpful .

2021-09-14My wife and I are regulars here. We are on a first name basis with the wonderful family that runs the place. Great prices. Make sure to try the homemade desserts that are usually on display by the counter.

2021-05-10A peaceful cafe in Bangor to dine in or take out on the go with quick service and a friendly staff (mostly family father & son +), suitable to read or write or quietly explore the net. The dining area is tall and wide open ++. The prices are very reasonable. Overall Im very satisfied with Empire since the few months Ive been going.

2021-04-09This place is amazing. Was in there today for the first time with my wife and we will be going back regularly now. They were such a nice father and son that run the place and the food and coffee was excellent. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone that was coming to downtown Bangor.

2019-12-28Fantastic coffee! No need to drive to the big city for a great cup of coffee.They have the best espresso and cappuccino along with American style. If you want to have a bite to eat, have a seat. This is a quick stop for a low priced lunch or snack. But the best is yet to come for dessert.You will find a friendly and warm family owned business in the heart of Bangor. Definitely try this place.

2019-12-31Absolutely love this little coffee shop in Bangor with a BIG heart. They have THE best empanadas (for $2!) flan, bagel sandwiches and YES coffee! They also have a great urban atmosphere with small town friendly service. The best of both. ENJOY!
