Fine Wine & Good Spirits in other cities:
This place is decent. The selection isnt great. Its the only plave Ive been to that makes you sing a paper saying youre not buying alcohol for anyone but yourself. I find that almost funny considering its already illegal to buy a minor alcohol. Ive gone here after class a few times and its a good place if you want a cheap handle of something that will kill enough brain cells after a hard test. Dont go here if youre looking for a wide selection to set up an at home bar. There is also a policy where you have to pit backpacks and large bags at the front of the store, which sucks.
Not a particularly great selection of wine or spirits, but its the main liquor store for Pitt students, so they dont exactly need 12 types of Tuscan Chianti. The prices are exactly the same as they are at every other fine wine and theyve done a great job serving the University of Pittsburgh student body and the poor folks who put up with them.

2021-10-26“Would you like to leave your bag at the door?”Unprofessional clerks. If you require someone to leave their bag at the front door then tell them directly to do so. Don’t give me the option to carry my bag and then scold them for not leaving it at the door.

2021-06-09I found out the hard way that they wont sell you booze if you have an expired ID. They wouldnt even sell it to my friend who was next to me. This makes perfect sense. The cashiers are very friendly. Gave us other suggestions.

2020-10-28Absolutely horrible customer service. I went to pick up a bottle and had a buddy with me who wasn’t buying anything and didn’t bring an ID. They got really aggressive with me when I explained this and we wouldn’t have time to get an ID and return. I asked if they could at least set aside the bottle as it was one of the last and they told me “you can come back tomorrow and shop just like everybody else”. I would never go to this location but unfortunately it’s the only one within walking distance .

2020-11-17Great selection.Nice staff.Very convenient location.*Limitations on occupancy per Covid.*Be sure to check hours of operation as closing times vary per day of the week.*Line out the door during peak hours so shop earlier and smarter and beat the late Fri/Saturday night rush.

2020-08-20Great store in Shadyside! When you turn into the parking lot, its a parking garage. So you need tro go up the ramps to get to the store. Otherwise you take the steps up and down. I called ahead & the staff confirmed that the product was available. They were also very friendly when I arrived.

2020-12-25I stopped by for the first time on December 23 and it was an extremely pleasant experience. The staff went out of their way to take the time to explain everything to me. They even came back around to ask me if I needed help with anything else.I will most likely be coming back.

2019-07-11Good for what it is, this one is super strict and feels more like going to the airport than going shopping. If you want a better customer experience Id go to another location where they arent dealing with students 24/7.

2018-02-08The employees are always nice. Its one of the liquor stores that makes you leave your book bag at the front of the store upon entering. They will absolutely card you every time that you go into this place. Both of these things can be explained because this liquor store is located in Oakland. There is no parking lot. Street parking is limit and is paid parking. Right by a rite aid and pizza shop. Small selection.
