This place is a joke went in for an alignment but after waiting over an hour they did nothing but look at my vehicle and make up a whole list of things they need to fix before they could do an alignment. Telling me my month old control arms where bad and other stupid unnecessary things just to get more money out of me. I wont be coming back
We come out of our hotel to a flat tire. We needed a tow truck to come and pull the tire and put on a spare and headed to Firestone because it was nearby. They were very welcoming and nice! Within 15 minutes they pull the car into the shop, repair the flat and put everything back just like it was. Within an hour we are back on the road! It was a positive experience and the crew made it easy and relaxing. Usually on a weekend and especially a Sunday, its hard to find anyone available to help. I would recommend!
Excellent experience thanks to Mike getting warranty refund on bridgestone tire wear. Also dealing on a set of new firestone destination tires no bs just straight out dealing. Good price good service.
We were on our way to NC and our engine light came on. We panicked and looked around Altoona to find a car repair place. After 2 places who said we can’t check that for you, we drove to Firestone and the workers immediately helped us. Mike came out and checked the car and didn’t even want anything for his work. Thank god for these people :)
It was a Positive customer experience. Friendly staff and prompt service. My tire was fixed and they changed my vehicles oil.

Service technician was extremely thorough when diagnosing my issues. The sales technician was exceptional with explaining my diagnosis and very helpful with recommendations and pricing and was respectful in regards to understanding my financial concerns. He also educated me on tires. Thank you
Went for a quote on a few tire selections. Treated nicely and professionally. Answered all my questions with patience. Am a repeat customer with this location. Am introducing my 18 yr old daughter to deal with reputable companies for her auto needs.
Worst service Ive ever received truly. Said they cut me a deal and only charged me 50$ instead of 150$ to fix my car. They didnt fix a thing! Right after I picked the car up I had the same issue as before. Tried to call and ask about it and see if they could take another look, and I was hung up on.
Stay away from this repair shop.when i picked my car up ,my air condition did ,not work and one of my headlights was out I. They worked fine when dropped it off.went back ,they woun,t own up to it. So, i called headcourters, talked to a chad. He sounded sleezy, but nice and he just told me a bunch of B S. They try to con you into having things done that are not needed ,so you spend more money.Xs
Showed up for appointment (which was scheduled online) and told appointment just came through and would take longer than originally. Needless to say left and had service done elsewhere.
Did an alignment on my car. Claimed they checked the fluids and yet my transmission fluid was down 2 qts. I realize its a courtesy check.. at least do it if you say you did. Dont just check the boxes.
We go here regularly and Im general happy with service here....basic service like ties, oil, inspection, maybe brakes, etc. If you have to have any significant repair, their prices are on the high end of the acceptable price range. For larger repairs look elsewhere if you can.The staff is usually friendly, but sometimes I felt like I was wasting their time asking about the best tires for my needs...which you would think would be an area that would be willing to share a wealth of knowledge in.Decent place, but do your research and dont be afraid to shop around for larger purchases.
I took my vehicle in for inspection and an oil change. When I got it back 5 days later, they never did the oil change which I paid over $1700 for. The car came back in worse condition than it was when I took it in. They were to fix also fix the leak of coolant. They replaced the water pump. Then they claimed the head gasket was bad. So I take it back they have it another 5 days. I pick it up today and drive not even 5 miles and it leaks all over driveway the minute I pull in. I call and talk them and talk to the district manager who refused to acknowledge the incompetence of the employees. He also proceeds to start yelling at me. They are refusing to fix the problem when they made it worse. There was also other noises it was/is making. I never have been treated so with such disrespect and ignorance. They will never touch another vehicle of mine or any of my familys again. My car is used to transport my ill 84 year old grandmother to her chemo treatments and now she cant even go there safely. Thanks a lot Firestone.They deserve to pay me my money back.
Easy to deal with, but the issue with my car was “fixed” with a $113 code read and a zip tie that didn’t hold past 3 days. Thanks.
DO NOT use this location for anything other than a simple tire repair etc. they have, on multiple occasions, said cars needed parts replaced/repaired, that were in perfect working order. Very quick to scam.
Scheduled an oil change and tire rotation after hours on their online website the night before. Remember they open at 7am, but I get a phone call at 1145 the day of telling me they can’t get me in at the scheduled time of 2pm. Which I am okay with them not holding the appointment, but they wait nearly 5 hours from the time they open to call and cancel the appt.
Made appt for 12, didnt take vehicle in until over 37 minutes, only after I asked why made appt. Took 3 hrs for 2 new tires & inspection. Cost more than expected. Seems to be a routine thing when I go there that takes longer & costs more.
Absolutely disgusted with the service at this store today. We made an appointment days ago, and after 45 minutes drive each way, to be told theres a 2 hour wait because theyve taken on other walk-in jobs is not acceptable! The guy in the store didnt even apologize. He was rude and the fact we had an appointment wasnt an issue for them. If they cant honor appointments then they shouldnt take them.
Extremely disappointed in the experience my fiancé had this morning. He got a call during his inspection that his check engine light was on, so he was asked if he would like them to investigate this. Before he gave an answer, he asked the technician on the phone how much it would cost. He did not get an answer from the technician, who beat around the bush, and made it sound to be a complimentary “check” into the check engine light. Why would he not do this if it was no charge? After picking up his car, he went to pay and noticed that it was $100 for that “check” that was done. I feel that the technician was taking advantage of his customer as he did not give information that was asked of him and caused us to pay an extra $100 for something that was COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. I am furious.
Had a 1pm appointment.. arrived 15 minutes early...left the building at 3:25pm. Worse service ever. Scheduled the appointment to get in and get out but their excuse to me was it takes 20 minutes per tire and it took them over 2 1/2 hours to complete and I will not be going back. Evidently they only have one person putting tires on??!!??!!
Third time the emissions guy has called off when I had an appointment. No phone call or nothing I love two hours away. And my car is a month out of inspection. Terrible
A very busy place, and at the time I stopped(about 11 a.m. Saturday morning)it would have been a 2 hour wait to get my valve stems changed and get my front end looked at, so my suggestion to new customers is to at least call ahead, and possibly schedule your appointment well in advance, that way youre not waiting hours to get a simple tire change, or find another place if youre in a rush....
Ok so my first mistake was I sent my wife to do my inspection. I should of realised they would try to take advantage of her. Her vehicle needed inspected, mind you we just bought this vehicle 6 months ago. She goes in and they tell her her rotor is .20% lower then what its supposed to be. At any other garage this would of passed. So long story short I get a phone call from my wife saying it failed and it will cost her (get ready for this). 500 dollars for rotors and front brakes. Needless to say I will never return here and if your smart you would stay away. Very professional con artists and low lives to try and take advantage of women
Walked in to have my brakes looked at. The front desk girl went into the service area where multiple men lounging eating donuts stated they didn’t want to. Was told they were too busy. First and last visit.
I almost got into an accident no brakes. I have put in 1 gear for not to crash... never again come here...staff doesnt feel happy with there job. Great tire place but not this one...

Brought my fiances vehicle in for a tune up, oil change and tire rotation to get it ready for our trip to the beach. Thank God we did this a few weeks in advance. We got the car back with a misfire in all cylinders, and no power steering fluid. All the locking tabs on the coil packs were in the unlocked position. Multiple hoses did not have the hose clamp/spring clamp reinstalled. We took it to a friends garage to have him take a look at it and tell us they installed the incorrect plugs. Fords call for mastercraft plugs but because Firestone has a contract with Bosch thats what they decided to throw in it. Should also mention that the vechilce needed a new tie rod end. These mechanics just dont care. Just trying to pump cars out as fast as they can. I cant believe they dont care about the well being of their customers. My fiance couldnt drive her car for over a week until it was fixed correctly. I will be going in tomorrow to demand a refund on the spark plugs and labor. 260 dollars! Well done Firestone, well done.
Terrible service and way over priced especially when they dont do what they were asks to do. Vehicle ran great before taking it in, my husband actually have to junk his crown Vic because this place messed it up to bad to even fix it, never got our $1800 back of a terrible job this place did, they should definitely be closed their ignorant and the people there have no idea what their doing anways.

Ive had several different services done over the years and even last minute emergencies. They always help me out , good suggestive services, and let me know exactly whats going on.
Ive gotten tires here but when put on was not told had problems with back tie rod . youd think they would have noticed when removed tire?
Not to good tried telling it would cost over 750$ for 4 tires out the door and they were on sale for 125 a piece. When I said that seemed like an awful lot he took it Down to 657$ . I got them but dont know if Ill be back?? Now Ill see how the warranty works out next

Is horrible... Dont have knowledge in mechanics. Wrong info and testing. I was with no brake and almost crash due to there work....scary...I hope they never work in aviation or planes would fall and that sad...the staff work in miserable terms..you could see it in there behavior

2022-05-16ZER0 STARS..Altoona store and their area manager..they didnt catch these but it was something else..car was on rack 3 times in several months..this is a major safety concern...Firestone Altoona area manager refused to fix the problems they caused

2022-02-21Always helpful and friendly the associates definitely try to help you out. They have decent pricing depending on what your getting.. I do all my alignments there with the lifetime alignment you cant beat it. You can also go to other firestone locations and get any lifetime coverage taken care of.

2022-05-31Absolute nightmare. My truck has been a dream from the day I bought it. One day at firestone Altoona turned it into a NIGHTMARE! They need to be upfront that they do not know how to work on lifted trucks or Toyotas!Went in for a simple alignment and they completely messed up my entire drivers side front end, failed to take the blame but yet covered the cost, little suspicious. Proceeded to let me drive off with a pregnant girlfriend and two children with my lights on my dash. Took it back for yet more repairs which required me to leave my vehicle for a whole day, to which they did not properly bleed the brakes, and it is still making a noise. Absolutely would NOT recommend!

2021-03-19Fantastic same day service and great prices. I got a flat tire while driving on the highway. I came to this place and they took care of me the same day while I waited. They were very busy but squeezed me in, quickly got me a quote on a few different tire options, and got me back on the road. They seemed like they genuinely wanted to help, weren’t pushy or trying to upset anything, and explained everything thoroughly. Highly recommended for your tire needs.

2021-08-16I made a 2pm appointment online for an oil change. I selected the option that I would wait in the lobby as I didnt have another car/ride that day. They didnt start the oil change until after 3, and werent done until 4. Whats the point in making a wait in store appointment for basic maintenance if it is going to take that long to start?

2021-03-04Do not go here. Scam artists, tell you things are bad when they are not. Had multiple essential repairs they wanted to do for my vehicle to pass inspection. I declined the repairs, and they would not release my vehicle to me unless I paid for some. After explaining that I know by law they cant do work without my permission would they return my car. Took it to a local garage, they found nothing wrong and had me done in less than an hour. Do not go here, you will be ripped off.

2021-03-12Took a few hours to install new set of tires and do a lifetime alignment. A little longer than I thought was necessary since I saw customers leaving that came in after me, but happy to have my new tires on.

2021-02-07Broke down on 22W trying to get my daughter to school on a Saturday. They went out of their way to verify my alternator died, replaced it and got me on my way within several hours after saying thay couldnt guarantee anything. I appreciate Chris and his team for saving me having to make a second trip across the state to pick up my vehicle. They also suggested I take it to the dealer to see if there is an under lying problem.
