Ive been taking a few sewing classes and tend to not know what Im doing in regards to getting fabric or navigating where I should. The team at Fleishman have been so helpful every single time Ive been here. Not only do they direct me where I need, theyre incredibly knowledgable and educational. Everyone has taken the time to explain to me what Im looking for, why, its importance in regards to garment construction, and general accoutrement needs. I cannot speak highly enough about everyone here, they are wonderful!
My husband took me here on our honeymoon and it was definitely my favorite place we went. Incredible shop with a wide variety of high quality materials. wonderful associates, affordable fabric, clean and organized. I cant wait to go back!

The only place I go to for fabric! As a fashion major it’s important for both high quality fabric but also having people that are willing to help! They will take the time to understand the project you’re working on so they can recommend the best fabric for that project. 10/10 would recommend!!

Called for speciality fabric, was told they had the size and style in stock!! Drove over an hour just to find out THEY DO NOT HAVE IT! I appreciate the staff being friendly but in that moment I find nothing funny and don’t take my time being wasted lightly! Definitely won’t be back!
Very excellent fabric!!!! I love this fabric store. I live Nj and I drive to Philadelphia just to get my fabrics from them. Y’all should definitely go get your fabrics from them. Wonderful Staff!! Nick was so gracious; he helped me out with getting all the materials I would need to complete two whole dresses. Im a super-N00b and he took me under his wing and gave me tips and pointers as to how to get started with making my own clothes! He even taught me how to read my patterns correctly! I will definitely come back here, and I dont live in the state!COVID-19 is being taken seriously here, as well. All staff and guests are to maintain face masks and 6 feet distance from one another. Bathrooms are not available for use by the public. Store capacity allows for a 5 guest maximum at a time.
The people at Fleishman Fabrics are very nice and helpful and they have some beautiful colors and lots of different styles stop in you wont be disappointed

Friendly staff, they make it appoint to get to know all thier repeated customers names and address them soon as they walk in. If they are ever frustrated you would never know it.Other businesses should.learn this type of patients with their customer service. I know its hard but it can be done.🥂
Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. If you need something that is not in stock, the owner will order it for you and give you a call to let you know when she receives it. Your questions are answered fast and with precision. I enjoy shopping at Fleishman Fabrics where my money and myself are treated with respect. ...And when the nice lady is in the cleaning mood customers get great bargains such as large Ziploc bags full of goodies for less than nothing, and some free stuffs too.The staff at Fleishman Fabricsis always happy and this attitude is contagious. Really nice place. Made my first trip to fabric row to shop very pleasant. Knowledgeable staff, and great service. Will return if my budget allows. I got a light blue jersey knit for a thin hoodie.
My first experience at this location was amazing! The customer service is top notch and the staff were extremely helpful getting me the fabric I needed for my project! And the fabric I purchased is gorgeous and nothing what I’ve seen elsewhere. I don’t live in Philadelphia but I will continue to make the trip because they made it so worth my time!

My grandmother shopped here,my mother shopped here&I love to shop for fabric here.I like the remnants of fabric on sale to make a quick skirts.The trims left over in bags I used to make fabric chokers.

Fleischmanns is a destination for fashion fabric of high quality. The store is chucked full if you can’t find what you are looking for they are sure to find it in their off sight warehouse. This is a 2nd generation family owned business.

2022-02-03A place for people who love creating by those who want them to succeed.As soon as you walk in, you feel the energy of creatives with ideas they’re excited about. They discuss their projects with the staff who in turn are excited by their excitement and possess a deep knowledge to get them exactly what they need.The store is floor to ceiling filled with fabrics; a library of patterns and textures. It’s located in the aptly named Fabric Row on 4th Street and it’s no wonder that they have been a mainstay. Their passion, selection and pricing are exceptional.

2022-04-12Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Got a great deal on nice cashmere with some imperfections, the staff was very gracious about pointing out the problems that I was more than happy to live with.I really appreciated their wide assortment of zippers that were available for me to compare my fabrics to - got a perfect color match! The only problem was making sure I left before I spent an entire years sewing budget on fantastic finds. Ill definitely be back!

2021-08-03My partner loves Hawaiian shirts so I came here in search of a fabric I could use to have formal Hawaiian vests made for the groomsmen in our wedding. I had absolutely no idea what I was looking for but the people working here went above and beyond even helping me pair the perfect shades of blue for the back and interior of the vests. I don’t remember the name of the lovely man that helped me pick out fabric, but he asked for pictures and since we finally got married I wanted to share! 2022-03-16The store is to small so the shopping experience is not that great. However they do manage to pack a lot of items in a small space. I frequently go to Jomar Fabrics which is way cheaper than they are and carry lots of items way larger store because Jomar is a factory warehouse. However Fleischman has more unique items to be so small.

2022-08-15Updated 2022:STILL the best place to go for findings, trimmings, appliques, buttons etcJust grabbed a bunch of beautiful pieces that could easily by 2-3x the cost and not nearly as nice on Amazon etcThis place is legit for costume makers for a reason 🙌🏽Just dont go close to major holidays and expect personal hands on attn if youre not experienced because the store gets mobbed---Oct 2019This place is friendly, super helpful and knowledgeable and their selection and prices cant be beat! I found the exact same high end trim in NYC for 3x the price! Definitely the place to go for costumes, diy home projects, replacing buttons and findings👌👌👌

Really!#2: Much more convenient than online - you can feel each fabric to get a better sense of it before buying and you get the goods instantly, no waiting for shipping!#3: Incredible customer service. Wow. I accidentally stayed half an hour beyond their closing time and didnt even notice bc they were so sweet and helpful and also had a few other customers still in the store! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Theyre also happy to let you have all of the quiet introvert browsing time you want.#4: Great selection of fabrics. I would have liked to see more light summer options, like linen, batiste, and voile, but instead they did have a wide selection of wool suiting that I hadnt expected.Im coming back here soon!
