For being a Marriott branded Hotel I was extremely surprised at all the awesome digital upgrades!! The Bathroom Mirror is Everything! But if Ur gonna put in those kinds of extras then maybe you should reglaze the bathtub a little better, peeling paint looks trashy.... Also room is a little dark for my liking, needs another lamp in the corner...been staying every other weekend....
The hotel was conveniently located but the quality of the room and the support. I stayed for two days (Friday to Saturday)for a family event. The room was very large but had the bare minimum of furniture and the bedding was institutional (no real blankets). The television was not facing either a bad or a couch. The front desk was gruff, bordering on rude. I had three interactions - checking in, asking for information on local taxis and checking out. They were not cheerful or informative. There were few amenities. The restaurant was closed most of the time and the hotel did not provide information on area restaurants. They did have a coffee maker in the room, but it was not a Keurig and the coffee was not great. For a Sheraton, the quality was more along the lines of a red roof inn or a days inn. This did not meet expectations of a what a Sheraton (or Marriott) or other higher end hotel should be. I am not sure why this received so many stars.
I stayed at this hotel because it was necessary due to travel for a wedding. Unfortunately I was fairly disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. When using the bathroom for the first time, I noticed a large bit of pee behind the door. Then later, we came to find that the toilet was leaking. Upon arrival I was told that they would be giving me another room instead of the king bed that I paid for and reserved. Im not sure how the rooms go quick works when you RESERVED a room weeks prior. I could say that I wouldnt see myself staying here again.
I would give it a 0 if possible.I’m a Titanium Elite Bonvoy Member ,and have never been treated worst at a Hotel 🏨.I asked the Front Desk Representative ALEXIS to help me with a key to my room for my Late Checkout, She did not want to help ,was extremely rude Including CURSING 🤬 at me Repeatedly. I will not be back ,The GM JACK did not want to help ,and said I was looking to get my Room COMPED .WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
This was one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever stayed at, and I am very low maintenance. My room was awful and it was not inexpensive. The room was not clean. There was hair in the shower and the carpet was filthy and not vacuumed. There was a half eaten cookie under the table in the room. The worst part of the experience was the air conditioner was creating condensation and overnight completely soaked about 1/4 of the carpet causing a strong mold smell. Someone was chain smoking cigarettes in the stairwell, and since the room was near the stairwell it smelled strongly of cigarettes every night. Multiple cigarette butts were left in the stairwell every night. The ceiling paint was peeling in the corners from apparent water damage. The room’s safe did not work as someone removed it’s batteries. There was liquid inside the refrigerator that spilled onto the carpet when I opened it. The toilet had to be flushed twice after use. On a positive note, the bedding appeared clean and seemed changed. I have stayed at many other Sheraton hotels and they have been great. I am typically not one to complain, however since this survey was sent I thought I would take the time to offer my honest opinion. I would never recommend anyone stay at this hotel.
Hotel refuses to refund my remaining bill of $553.91. We stayed one night and left the next morning because the pool was not open--despite them advertising that it was. I let the staff know when I checked in that I would not be staying the additional nights and would be leaving in the morning. We only stayed the one night because it was late in the evening when we arrived. The manager refuses to call me back; Ive been trying to get a refund for over 3 months. I lodged a complaint with corporate and got nowhere. Absolutely horrible service. Staff were rude. I would give this place negative stars if that were an option. Avoid this place at all costs!!!
Just ok. Stayed 5 nights and no housekeeping. Ran into the maid in the hall. She was very nice, gave me towels and said she wasnt allowed in my room? My biggest problem with this hotel is you cant get anyone on the phone prior to your stay? Its crazy! Also, the room keys usually didnt work. And, no, we didnt keep them near our cell phones!
The location is so close to where we were going it was great. The stay itself we didnt have breakfast due to Covid so that kind of stinked. Staff was pleasant but not really engaging. Had to initiate conversation. The snack bar was over priced chips and such. It was a average stay. There was nothing over the top here. But it wasnt terrible.
Check in was a breeze. Had to change rooms due to A/C broke in the middle of the night. I asked if I could get a front facing room. Was told I could not do that. So I was stuck with a room where the view was a back of a building and shipping containers. Oh well, It wasnt like I was there for the sunsets. You have to request housekeeping which was fine with me. I was there for an extended stay so didnt want to have to wake up for housekeeping. No Ethernet cable but the standard Wifi was sufficient for my working needs. Pool was closed due to Covid as was the on site restaurant. There are restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance though. I would definitely book again.
2 night stay for a Sunday eve wedding. Arrived Saturday. Room not cleaned after we left for breakfast and after we returned from downtown at 3:00 to get ready. Cleaner in hall had no large towels. HUH? Need more staff??? Tub needs replaced. Pillows dead. Bed soft. Very mediocre at best. Bar and restaurant still not open.
I had a very positive experience with most recent stay. Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well as ease of late night check in was awesome- Also a positive experience checking out at front desk with the wonderful daytime associate I’ve interacted with during previous stays. Clean and nicely maintained room with coffee and tea. Would recommend for sure. Wish I could have stayed longer.
My stay was awesome right until the day of checkout, I asked for a late checkout at the front desk and got it 1hr so house keeping arrived and I said I got a late checkout next thing I know the house keeping lady is tell someone one that Im giving here a hard time I could hear this through the door next I know again some other lady is banging on the room door like the police and yelling house keeping again I explained through the door that I got a late check out .. in all fairness I did go down to the front desk and extended the late checkout I had already gotten.. I assume there was a breakdown in communication between the front desk and house keeping staff but in the end result house keeping was extremely rude in the way they dealt with the situation and they never apologized and that for me ruined the stay.Otherwise I had a pleasant stay I stayed from 06/17/21 to 06/21/21 and though I paid for the 17th I didnt check in until about 11pm that I felt like house keeping behavior was very unprofessional and customer care is not their primary concern
Very dissatisfied- huge Divot in bed, extremely loud AC. I switched rooms the following day ( a co-worker and I were staying at this property to host a meeting in the meeting room on site) the second room I checked into the next day had a shower light was like a strobe light. In addition, the staff was less than accommodating and rude. The meeting room was left open day 1 (after we informed the front desk that we were through for the day and to please lock up, as we advised the team they are free to keep whatever they wanted in the room as it would be locked) & none of the trash was taken out. The first day we walked in we were aggressively advised we had to wear mask in the lobby, later the same gentleman who informed us to wear a mask had what I’m assuming to be his friend literally sitting on the table in front of the check in desk without a mask on & he too employee- had mask pulled under his nose. I have traveled full time for the last 2.5 years and have never experienced such at any other location. Very disappointed.
This hotel is awful especially with COVID restrictions being overly enforced at this location. Mask mandates have been taken down but they expect everyone to wear the mask on promises no matter what! The prices are too expensive just to go to sleep in a room that is not properly sanitized nor taken care of how it should be. Our bed sheets had stains all over, the walls had dusty corners, the bathroom leaked from the ceiling, found holes on the bottom corners in the bathroom floor, and bugs were found! Bugs were killed and stuck to the ceilings and some we caught on the bed. I totally don’t recommend this hotel they need corporate to come in and do some cleaning!
This was a horrible experience. I spent almost 400 hundred dollars for two nights staying at this hotel. Checking in was a long process. After about 30 minutes we finally get checked in. We get in the room and start to unpack we go in the bathroom its rust in the tub and rust in the ceiling. We called the front desk and the front desk ask is it really that bad. We told them yes. They did send us to another room. We checked the room everything was fine no rust. I used the bathroom and there was a very very low water pressure from the sink. I said this is unacceptable and started call the front desk again. However I didnt feel like moving to another room again. They say this is a non smoking hotel but thats a lie. It smelled like nothing but cigarettes and weed smoke my whole stay at the hotel. I reported it to the front desk and nothing happened. The hotel say no parties but thats also a lie. The room next door had a party and they was loud. Thats where all the cigarette and weed smoke came from. The staff know that some of the guest smoke because they are cool with them. I came to this hotel two years ago. I left a review before with 4 stars. This hotel has really gone down. They over charge you. I had an issue about the smoke and partying the front desk did nothing about it. I couldnt sleep the smoke and nosie was so bad. Im calling corporate about this matter. It was horrible. I will not be returning to this location.
Power outage from 12midnight until 10pm the next night . Had to check out early (noon instead of staying my second night) and book another hotel. That part actually doesnt make me mad because its out of the hotels control its how it was handled after that ticked me off a bit… My bill needed to be adjusted to reflect only 1 night stay and only the manager could do it. She wasnt in that day so i called at 8 am the next day. Was told she would be in at 11. Called at 11:55am …still not in. At this point i requested a call back so I could go about my business trip and it would be handled when she was in. However I was told by the front desk she doesnt do call backs … well excuse me! VIP or something.. so after about 4 other phone calls, being placed on hold 3 times I finally got the manager. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with . Thats the only reason its a 7 and not a 0. Solved my issue in less than 5 minutes and was super easy going.
No knowledge this Hotel had no Amenities available prior to check-in, which totally disrupted our Family Reunion. Local family told the visiting relatives what a nice place to stay, which was totally was undone at checking in. The Rate should have been adjusted accordingly. Giving the Hotel the benefit of the doubt, 60% of the rate would have been acceptable but to charge a 100% with No Amenities is Unprofessional and taking advantage of a Guest.
This property still uses covid-19 as a reason to keep everything closed not deliver on bonvoy benefits while rates are still over $250 a night. Property is old, chipped furniture , stuff not working , wet damp smelling rooms. Many of the Sheratons and Four points are similar. Marriott should get the owners to renovate them.I liked the free parking and location I cant really think of anything else going for this property .The front desk staff was inexperienced and needed help so check in was long. The older black guy with the walkie-talkie at the front desk with the long beard and head shaved clean was rude. I extended my stay and stopped by the desk. I knew I misplaced my mask and was at the front desk to buy a mask. There are big signs in the lobby on a flip chart saying mask required and the front desk sells masks for $1. He lifted up the sign saying let me let them see they need a mask putting it in front me in a rude, unprofessional and embarrassing way.
Landmark business meeting place. Today, I attended the 2021 National Careers Fair. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Although the employers present did not match my career goals, they smiled at me and made eye contact with me and were helpful. Time well spent.
I you can find other accommodations please do. This hotel is running itself to the ground. Ive spent a considerable amount of time traveling and I can tell you that using COVID-19 as an excuse to mismanage a hotel is the problem they have. Light fixtures not working, broken showers, lack of hot water, very little storage space are just to name a few of the possible issues you might encounter. I was not impressed not even average.
Had the WORST experience which the Marriott is still refusing to refund me. We had the storm IDA come through my house had some flooding and the wedding was on saturday , labor day weekend. I did not check in friday and prepaid for my room 2-3 months in advance, did not call them to let them know i wasn’t coming that friday (why would it matter the room is paid for). They cancelled my whole weekend stay (Fri-Sunday) , refusing to give me my money back for saturday (and gave away my room that i already paid for) and charged me a no show fee for a already paid room. No one ever called to cancel or tell me my room was cancelled . I happened to call after 35 min on hold to add my husband to the check in to find out they gave my room away because they haven’t heard from me . I was a bridesmaid at a wedding 5 min from them . The supervisor told me they are not giving me my money back , wouldn’t give me another room stating they were booked and said there was no one above her that could help me . I contacted the corporate office and they are emailing me telling me there is nothing that can be done . What A JOKE!! Will never stay at a Marriott ever again . Save your money , go someplace else . In addition, my other friend that stayed there they double charged her for the room. Legit scamming people over there . Trust me go some places else . I have stayed at multiple hotels in the past and never been treated likethat.
It’s an ok place for easy access to north Philly. The room is decent, but the carpet is very dirty. The front desk staff is very slow and unfamiliar with the processes. There is loud music playing outside the elevators all hours of the day and night, which is strange and jarring. All told, this is a room. Not a particularly pleasant stay. But it works.
It was pretty expensive - the first room we got there was dirty so we moved to another room. The second room had issues with the air conditioning unit. It worked but was loud. The gym & pool were shut down due to Covid-19. The location was good though and staff were nice/helpful.
Nice “City view “ . Some of the staff were rude some of the staff were nice,Seems like it depended on the shift. Stood here two different times first time room was fine, second time I put my daughter in one of their rooms and it smelled of marijuana and the wallpaper was falling off of the wall. The toilet seat was also lifted Up and had toilet paper and urine in it.
1. When checking in, they tried to switch me to a room with 2 queen beds despite the fact that I paid extra to have a 1 king bed room telling me there were not any King-bed rooms available. Once I asked to have my rate discounted, they were magically able to locate the king room.2. Neither the door to our room or the door to our bathroom shut easily. We often had to double or triple check that the door was shut behind us when we were leaving and most times it took multiple tries. The bathroom door knob was loose and falling out.3. Our toilet seemed to always be running and would sometimes not flush at all. Our bathroom was not cleaned properly, our bath tub showed marks where the previous visitors had left their bar of soap that we were able to wipe off once we noticed it. 4. I was apart of a wedding- multiple other couples also staying at the hotel reported similar problems with checking in / cleanliness and maintenance... including the bride who was locked out of her room the night of her wedding due to a clerical issue that only reserved her room for one night.
Hotel was nice, good location. I booked two rooms and they were able to accommodate me with connecting rooms which was great. Restaurant was still closed due to Covid.Only complaint, they need more luggage carts or ensure that people don’t take it to their rooms and keep them.
This was an unexpected stay, but only hotel close to family and while staff was very very pleasant, they were not thorough in cleanliness, or explaining charges. I was overcharged & now having to sort out. I LOVED the technology with TV n BlueTooth mirror, however, it didnt make up for safe not working, the room phone broken and under back of bed, trash under fridge & microwave & NO amenities available, ice machine not working, can only get chips & beer, and only coffee in the room. I wouldnt CHOOSE this hotel again, it was last minute unexpected stay. I wouldve been extremely mad if I booked for vacation. Its a good local hotel for locals- not for anyone out of town expecting relaxation especially when u have to leave to eat every single time or no pool/hot tub open to use, business extras like computers not even usable. Im disappointed that Sheraton hasnt figured out a better COVID hotel experience, or maybe this hotel was understaffed and could only open up hallways. The staff was VERY VERY pleasant even though it seemed frustratingly unorganized in certain areas, but had great greetings & personality, sent towels quickly, and made sure I got my complimentary beers for rewards member.
Overall short, sweet and simple the staff was rude. I asked for blankets for my 1 year old baby and I was asked “what for “ and then I had to go get the blanket myself. The tub fills when u take a shower which is disgusting and they don’t accommodate big family’s. The toilet wasn’t flushing at first and no maids were working. It was horrible.
We stayed for 8 hours. They doubled billed us. We brought it to there attention immediately that morning. They said. There was nothing they could do. They said to call our bank. We call the bank. The bank said the hotel is lying. They need to send a cancelation letter to the bank. Called the hotel back and no one will speak with us. Horrible service, attitude and just rude. Still trying to get our double charge back.
The first two days of staying at this hotel with my Mom was good I would say. Rooms are very nice & the beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms were nice as well. However there was a red stain on the carpet in our room which we didnt realize after our 2 day stay. Our room at the time was on the 1st floor. Fast forward we decided to give this hotel another try when my brother finally came into town. This time we had a room on the 4th floor... We didnt have a remote in the room for the TV, two bulbs were missing out of 2 lamps & the air conditioner wasnt coming out cool. Overall the room itself was neat & everything. We told the front desk about our room not coming out cool so they were able to switch us into another room on the same floor. We got into our second room & the air was coming out cool. The only problem I had with the room was the sink in the bathroom, water wouldnt drain down the pipes & a small portion of the sink nob was missing. My Aunt who also stayed at this hotel had a room with no remote & it seemed like someone was messing with the box in the back of the TV. Of course they had no TV for the first night they stayed. Also there shower didnt have any shampoo in the pumps. Of course front desk was able to move them into another room with no problems. Breakfast bar & pool was not available due to the Covid-19 so I feel like they shouldnt charge so much for what its supposed to be luxury. Also they had a guess store that was EXPENSIVE! Almost $3 for a bottle of water, $5 for 1 box of microwaveable noodles & so forth. Vending machine was charging $3.50 for every soda product they had. Mind you theres a dollar store down the street which you can get most of those stuff for $1. They also didnt do room service during our stay due to Covid-19 so we had to take our own trash out, request for new towels to replace with dirty ones & request for more tissue etc... They have the worst toothpaste packets that I would recommend not to use. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I hope they do improve their hotel & standards.
We stayed as a small group on a recent weekend. The staff there was extremely courteous. The rooms were very nice, beds were awesome and it was actually very quiet at night. We had one room that had a light bulb issue and the manager Wister was awesome. He fixed it immediately and i know he had alot going on. He actually came over to us upon leaving and wanted to ensure our stay was as expected. He is a wonderful representative to the hotel and I hope he is well compensated for he does an amazing job. If I didnt live so far away Id hire him away.. Hotel is so close to everything we wanted to do...Restaurants and shopping and not too far from Phillie!BarbBarb
This hotel is falling apart. I always stay in this hotel when visiting Philly and everytime seemed to get worst. This time was my last time staying. 3 stars for the amazing staff. I had a second door in my room that I did not ask for and used the stand to block it cause only the cheap flip lock was on it. The door did have a lock that did not work. The paint in the tub is literally chipping away. I will not be staying here ever again.
I stayed at the Four Points for a quick “staycation” when a friend came to town. Our stay was great. No major issues, the only minor issue I had was that our room keys stopped working after our first night. This was quickly resolved at the front desk. The bathroom was my favorite part of the room, so modern. The decor in the bedroom itself could be updated slightly to match. Overall the stay/service was Great. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel has many things going on there! Check in was smooth however I had to ask for tv bigger than a 32in because apparently they don’t believe all rooms should have the same size tv. However room clean, wood nightstand burned up and worn. I tried calling to the front desk from my room phone and cell phone however no luck. Room phone didn’t work, and automated system gave options for guest services which no one answered. I was charged for WiFi when I wasn’t supposed to be. Just a mess.
I had difficulties finding the location using my GPS. I called the hotel 2 times at 10:47pm; no one picked up the phone. I finally figured out where the hotel was located and as I go to check in the receptionist was on a personal call; facetiming. He checked me in, no problem with that. I get to my room and in my opinion it was one of the worst conditions I have ever seen. There were cigarettes marks on the table between the beds and the room seemed and felt dingy. I work in aviation and stay in many hotels and this was absolutely a disgrace and surprising for a Marriott brand hotel.
This hotel is fine. The room was fairly clean (except the windows and microwave). Amenities were mostly what I expected. The pool area is nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. They could improve by offering complimentary breakfast (the rate is high enough to include it). They are also pretty weird about coffee. Most hotels have coffee out all morning, but they advertise 6-10 am. My experience was that the coffee didnt get put out until 630-7 and was removed at 959. The microwave in our room (remember, the dirty one) was pretty old and we found out the hard way that the defrost function didnt work. In summary, it was fine. Next time were in town, Ill try another place to compare. If they had just a few more amenities, we would likely return.
Front desk was friendly. However, I booked a room with one bed but they only had a room with two beds available. The second bed the sheets were dirty. The paint on the ceilings was chipping as if there was water damage. The bathroom wasn’t clean. The paint in the tub was peeling, there was hair in the tub, and the wash cloths were dirty.
Disappointed on many levels Engineering very attentive, front desk stuck in a bad spot between management and guest request. The housekeeping department was helpful as they could when speaking to them . Staff not efficiently trained and that falls on management, responsibly someone has to accept the burden And sometimes that falls on accepting a position of authority.....
Our room air conditioning unit was absurdly loud, and didn’t cool the room. There was no fan in the bath room. The bed had a legitimate hole in it and caused my girlfriend back pain. The toilet was not mounted to the ground. And the bathroom door did not shut very well. Worst hotel stay
There isn’t anything good to report about this hotel, 159.00 a night for a room that doesn’t even compare to a motel 6Outdated rooms, no water pressure, musky smelling . They really need to drop down to a pay by the hour hotelConsider sleeping in your car before booking at this hotel, you will have a better nights sleep
With Covid restrictions the website should let you know everything in the hotel is closed. Its a nice place, but the staff could communicate better. I needed to know how to get food but had no help. I would have made other plans if I would have known I would spend two days with nothing to do or eat. I was forced to contact family to bring me food each meal, since I wasnt driving. Plus the only floor with ice is kinda dark and creepy.
Decided to check out the Four Points by Sheraton to add to my list of Marriott properties. So we drove down to Philly for the night and checked in and I thought it was going to be a bad check in bit being a Bonvoy member it was quickly resolved.Wister was the rep checking us in and he was pleasant. He advised me that they were sold out and had no more kings and I advised him that I booked a king. He spoke to the manager and she advised him that he was taking care of his guests and he had to make a decision on how to resolve so he upgraded us to a larger room which I appreciated him taking care of it.Parking lot a nice size but if you going fast you will miss the entrance because its not a well lit sign and the entrance way is very small and sharp.Room was a nice size. Bed comfortable and room was clean. Could have had more towels in the bathroom but not a big deal. Another strange this was they didnt have a coffee table by the sofa which made to room look bigger but a little odd. Refrigerator needs to be a bit colder because we had leftover food from the restaurant and wanted to make sure it was going to be good to eat the next day.I must give brownie points for the Bluetooth and wifi mirror in the bathroom. We played Pandora right though the bluetooth mirror while getting dressed Overall I would recommend this location because its reasonably price and you would get a decent night sleep. Just make sure you have a from desk person at the desk at all times because no one wants to wait to check out while the desk clerk is in the bathroom. Should be a backup person thats there to help.
The room was great, very clean ... however my stay was very short ! The staff ?. HORRIBLE ! FRONT DESK , The face that welcomes you , your first impression on how the rest of this hotels staff will be as well as your lasting goodbye wrapping up your supposed to be excellent stay?! Well let me just say the lady working... Friday. April 9th 2021 @ 7:34 PM very rude , didnt introduce herself didnt show any type of friendly, welcoming, mot even respectful manner. Ive never been so embarrassed in my 29 years on this earth. This experience was the worst out of over 40 hotels! In different cities and states by far the worst.
The hotel has rooms that have outdated televisions so you may not be able to play your video games. Bring your own sheets because theirs were not the cleanest and before you bath/shower be prepared to clean it down first. Our bathroom was full of left behind hair. Maybe its not a major deal breaker but I didnt check into a hotel to have to clean it first before I could relax.
This hotel should not be considered luxury.Upon arrival there was no mention of rooms not being cleaned on a daily. Therefore sheets and towels were not changed for our 3 nights we stayed. After the complaint on the 2nd night of no cleaning, we were then advised that due to the pandemic cleaning will not be done until room is checked out and if you want a change of linen & towels you can request from front desk. Basically was told to clean the room myself ( this all should have been stated upon arrival or being a luxury hotel with no accommdations, why not call guests and check in to see if these items are needed...)The shower rod was broken, and no remote in room. Nothing screamed luxuryIf the accommodations were not available, then why charging so much. There was nothing luxury about this hotel... I would not recommend if you are
The hotel has many things going on there!
I stay here regularly. There are a few areas that could use improvements, but the reason I keep coming back here is because if the staff. They are always so friendly and welcoming. They make me feel like Im part of their family. The thing is it is everyone. Ive never a negative experience with anyone here. They are going through some renovations at the time of writing this review. The lobby and restaurant look great. Iwould Lee to see a few more options on the menu. Ive stayed in a few of the renovated rooms, and they look great. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bed, pillows, and bedding are great too.Another thing I appreciate is the free water in the rooms.
The room was great, the bathroom fixtures were state of art. (never saw anything like it), I was there for a medical reason and told the staff so they gave me a quiet room. I took the hotel shuttle twice and have to say Toddy was very nice and the breakfast was very good. Had eggs and homemade oatmeal. Yummy!! Was also impressed with the beds. I didnt get use of the pool maybe next time.
Guest services are absolutely horrible at this place. Our stay was for 7 days and was miserable because I was there taking care of someone handicap, and anytime calling front desk, either they don’t answer and have to keep calling 25 times or they take 3 hours to bring whatever u asked for, or they just NEVERRRRRRR bring it. Pool is closed, and also they do not do breakfast at all due to Covid. This should have been listed on the website when booking. I never will book this place again.
Our stay was satisfactory overall. However, in the middle of the night there was a disturbance in the hallway with two people arguing and yelling. We complained the next morning and were told the couple was told to leave the hotel. It was somewhat inconvenient that the hotel did not have food service.
Avoid at all cost. I stayed for free as a Marriott rewards member and still free like I paid too much. Stained sheets, wet floor from badly leaking air conditioner, peeling paint, etc., etc....I could go on and on. Hard to believe its a Marriott branded property. Avoid at all costs...
Nice hotel, pretty modern although very busy at times. Very polite and pleasant service not without its challenges during my stayI had a few issues, they were resolved albeit did waste some of my time.Firstly the door wouldnt open and close properly, and maintenance said it needed to be replaced. So I should change to another room, as it was late and I was tired I decided I would change in the morning. Its obvious the communication was poor as front desk wasnt aware when I asked to be moved. I was then sent to a room which was occupied, how embarrassing for both of us, the other guest and I. I was then given another room and the safe is locked in the open position, which meant carrying my important documents around with me whenever I wasnt in the room. The biggest disappointment must be the breakfast. I wasnt impressed with any of the breakfast items, I only had the vegetarian stuff. My morning pleasure and subtle wake up dink was horrible, my tea actually tasted of coffee obviously the hot water from the flask is tainted.Lets hope it only gets better from here
Absolutely terrible. Used needle on front walkway. First room was double booked, second room toilet didnt work, third room the bathtub paint was chipping and the wall had a hole in it. One night was comped but they tacked on many additional charges. A manager is seemingly only in once a week.
The hotel is really great. The room my mother and I stayed in have most of the things I needed. Two beds, a microwave, refrigerator, a heater/ac, and a big flatscreen tv, and a coffee maker. The problems I had with the room is that I had to turn on multiple lights to make the room bright, no toothpaste, no food intensile, and the pillows are weak and worn out. But overall, the hotel is still a great experience and would come here again.
This was my first experience in a Four Points by Sheraton hotel and I will not stay again. Between two rooms - We had plumbing issues, the tub was damaged and painted, the wallpaper bubbling up, a damaged ceiling tile, dirty toilet seat and a desk lamp that flickered when the refrigerator kicked on. Very frustrated and disappointed. We were offered 2 breakfast vouchers from a different person than the one who was supposed to resolve our room issue. He just changed our room after maintenance came to look at the issue. The front desk gentleman’s explanation was that, “someone must be playing in the tub above me”. I had a video to prove the issues. I’ve been with Marriott a very long time and have never given a negative review or called and complained. This was really not a good experience. Hopefully they put some money into ensuring the guts of the hotel are appropriate and then fix the aesthetics left to be updated. To be fair, I did not eat at this location and my food rating should not be a reflection of the location. I chose not to eat there because of the plumbing. Tried to get another room in the area but they were sold out.
Everything was awesome considering that everything that made this hotel top choice was unavailable due to the CDCs nonworking protocols🙄but I digress. It was a great deal on Expedia and the service was great. The rooms are top notch and very up to date. I highly recommend this hotel over any other one the NE side.
Good: The staff is very responsive and exceptionally helpful. The Bad: This hotel is really outdated. The rooms are stuffy and uncomfortable. The air conditioners run on high and cant even keep the room cold enough to be comfortable. Looks like the rooms are stuck in the 70-80s.When I first checked in, the room was not made up by housekeeping so they happily changed me to a new room. The new room even though clean.. wasnt much better. The hotel has just started remodeling so hopefully this corrects the bad. The only reason I gave this hotel a 2 vs. a 1 is the professional staff.
Positive: The Staff Negative: The A/C was loud and wasnt blowing very cold air. The room was a bit dusty. The carpet looked old and had stains. The wallpaper was coming off the wall due to a water leak. The TV was very small and the glass window was dirty, had white markings.
The reason my husband and I stayed at Four points Sheraton-northeast Philly was due to us having our floors refinished in our home and we were told that we needed to be out of the house a few days. The Sheraton was the closest hotel to our home. We thought why not stay someplace nice for a few days until it was safe to go back into our home.Upon our arrival at 2:30pm we were told that check in was not until 3:00pm and that we may have to wait before checking in. I have never been to a hotel where they actually make you wait to check in that close to the actual check in time. Once checked in we went to our room, we noticed that there wasn’t a Do not disturb sign anywhere in the room so we tried calling the front desk which is when we learned that the phone in our room didn’t work. So my husband and I walked back down to the front desk to ask for a sign. Also, once we got back to our room I went to wash my hands the bathroom sink was clogged, which was another thing I had to go down to the front desk about because remember the phone in our room doesn’t work. They never addressed the phone situation either. Lastly, the room carpet needs to be updated, there were red juice spots Visibly showing along with other dirt spots in the carpet in our room. Needless to say what was supposed to be a short comfortable stay, turned into us wishing we had chosen another hotel even if it meant leaving our neighborhood.
Got upgraded for free to the preferred room and I was really happy about that. The cleaning crew did a perfect job and refilled the free water bottles. I loved that they provided mouth wash too because Ive never seen that. Room service was quick and friendly, although the food wasnt that great. I didnt take a star away for it though because it was still decent and I was really happy with the stay in general.
Just completed a one night stay and I have to say I was more impressed that expected after reading the reviews.Sure, the place is being renovated and theres a lot of incomplete projects underway. But I have to say I had a restful sleep, despite the bed being a little too soft. My dinner was tasty, despite the fact it took about 30 minutes for it to arrive and I was told to expect it in 15 mins. The Wifi didnt work despite a signal being detected. Logging in never happened as the network never seemed to accept any of my devices attempts. Ended up using a hotspot signal from mobile to get other devices online.Room was nice.. 6th floor, overlooking parking lot facing front of property. There was a slight chemical smell in the bathroom though. I suspected it was a room that was recently refurbished as everything looked very much in shape except the shower curtain rod. It was separating from the walls on both ends. And the showerhead, well, lets just say that it wasnt as new as all the other items in the bathroom.Overall, Id stay here again. Only reason I stay there was because all other SPG properties were sold one for one of the nights while I am in Philly.
I loved our room! Very up to date, looks like they did renovations. Hotel is very clean, we enjoyed the pool and the staff was very friendly. Also next to the hotel are shopping areas and restaurants. A very convenient location. If you have kids then the Sky Zone Trampoline Park is about a mile away if its even that far.
We stayed on a business trip from a Thursday-Monday with little-to-no complaints. The room was very clean across the board. The amenities were also great (pool/workout room,) and the staff was friendly at each interaction. There were no noise issues affecting sleep.Recommend for any business trip that does not require extremely high speed Wi-Fi for things like large file uploads. The Internet connection worked great, but was not fast enough if you need to do something like upload large video files.
First they tried putting us in a smoking room when we’d indicated nonsmoking on our reservation. They only had King rooms to move us into, no room with 2 beds. They brought in two rolling mattresses, which had old frames but the mattresses seemed newish/okay. My son said they were more comfortable than a pull out couch. But in the King room, the door latched closed, but the deadbolt wouldn’t catch. It seemed to be an issue with the lock’s mechanics. They secondary lock was fine, but I would definitely preferred to have both as some of the other guests seemed rowdy. There seemed to be a lot of teen guests walking around the halls as well. Overall cleanliness didn’t seem good as the hall carpets were stained, and there was a small pile of fake fingernails that must have fallen out of a guest’s bag in the elevator. Humorous, but still 🤢. That combined with the initial gross out at walking into the smoking room not expecting it definitely didn’t make a good impression.
From the moment I enter to the hotel I felt welcomed. The check-in was fast, All associates eager to help, not shy to say to greet you with a smile. It was refreshing! The room was beyond my expectations, very clean, spacious, The decor is modern and fresh, Bathroom very clean and with modern features. Bottomline, it was a great experience, and if I return to Phillly will return.
I did not enjoy my stay at this location this time around. I was scheduled for two days but ended up leaving after the first night. Now to be fair i have stayed at this location before. The last time i even extended my stay for an extra night.I believe this time around it all just came down to staff friendliness, cleanliness and an out dated television that didnt play much television.
This is a conveniently located hotel with great service. Once, my daughter left a laptop and she only realized it when we arrived in New York. We called and the staff had assured us that it was found my the cleaning lady. Our hearts were so pleased. We couldnt stop thanking her and felt blessed. We had always had a good experience there and our stay began feeling like a home away from home. There was a time during construction that we were given very poor treatment. However, I have not seen that staff member since. We have also seen familiar faces that let us feel at home. I highly recommend it. Its in a great location. Not in the middle of everything and just a drive away from downtown. I love the places to eat and the shopping in the close by area. It has become my business/getaway from the business of NYC any time I need a break. I love it here.
My stay here was very good. The room was clean and neat with everything that I need. It was a smoke free place so I did not have to worry about any unwanted odor. This location was nice and quiet as well. The staff here were very nice and patient when accommodating there guest. Me and my partner had access the there pool and gym along with breakfast in the morning. Overall a great place to stay 👍
The staff there are very friendly and professional! I love the updated rooms! Wister is a very friendly staff member that makes my stay so enjoyable! The food is surprisingly good! Breakfast is good but there is no variety day to day. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay!
This hotel was surprisingly very nice. It looks like the interior had been recently renovated, the service was very kind, the location is in a weird spot where there are four sets of one-way roads that make it challenging to navigate around, the restaurant and bar was delightful (they had a free beer and appetizers on Wednesdays for guests), but I think the room could have used a few improvements, like for example my bathroom had the toilet paper rolls holder nearly falling off the wall, and it would have been nice to have an overhead light that could be controlled with a switch rather than just the lamps on the bedsides. Overall I rank this hotel well because I had a pleasant experience despite the minor blemishes.
This hotel was nice as well as the staff. The only thing that I didnt like was how long it took for the water to get hot thru the faucet. And FYI, you probably should take the time to clean the curtains in the rooms cuz they could definitely use a good cleaning. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.
The hotel rooms looked really good and newly renovated which is nice. The downside is that checking in was a hassle. I do understand its COVID-19 times but it was a mess. They only had one person working at a time which led to long lines to check in which isnt great because there was no room for people to stand 6 feet a part. A lot of complaints from guests that were already staying there. I had chosen the early check in option and found out upon arrival that they cannot honor it so I had to wait somewhere for 3 hours. Then when I got a room the TV didnt work and had to wait for a new room. All in all , it is a clean hotel. It just seems very understaffed at the moment. Also, the area is great. Has any restaurant you can think of.
Staff are friendly, and pleasant. Room clean and neat. Lightings in room very poor, nice big desk and no light on desk; sink faucet impractical for hot water use, had to open wide to get hot water. Sprayed water all over. Bathroom too small to fit 2 persons. Hotel lobby clean, stairway dirty and scary. Hopefully it will me much improved after renovations.
I was a little disappointed with my recent visit to the Four Points by Sheraton. There were parts of the stay that were fine, and parts that were really, really bad. Ill start by saying that the room was spacious, clean, and well furnished. I appreciate having the refrigerator and large work space, though I did not need either on this particular trip. The staff was also friendly, though I interacted with them minimally. Unfortunately, I was severely disappointed with the shower in the bathroom. It was almost completely useless. It was either off, or scalding hot. If you tried to adjust the temperature at all, the shower head flipped over to the tub spout. Very frustrating. I would have requested a room change, but we were already running late for an evening event, returned very late, and had to leave very early. Ultimately, we were unable to shower at all during the stay. Also, the front desk and lobby were dimly lit, and surprisingly small. I almost walked right past check-in because I did not recognize it. I am not sure if the hotel is going through a renovation, but I hope they do spruce up check in a bit. In addition, the hotel was suppose to accomodate an after party for the event I was at. The bar was supposed to stay open late, as per contract, but when we returned they were closed. Apparently, they tried to correct this with free breakfast for the party, but I was not made aware of this until after I had left the next morning, and the breakfast was not what we were going for anyway. Unfortunately, these aspects greatly affected my overall opinion of the stay, and outweighed the things that were done well.
My initial front desk experience while checking in was ok which is why I rated a 2 and not a 1. Front desk was courteous but was un-informitive. I was not informed on how to connect to WiFi, what time breakfast began or ended the next morning, was not directed to my room and was not welcomed to call the front desk if I needed anything.Once I checked in, my family and I waited for an elevator that opens up but also has a rear door that opens up to the housekeeping dept which was an eye sore but manageable, up until 2 employees got on with us smelling like they just got off there cigarette break and in deep conversation as if they were guest themselves. We were not greeted or recognized for that matter. And thru out my entire stay I was never greeted by any of the staff. They walk pass you in the halls without any recognization. No issues with the room, only that the pullout couch was not ready for use. We had to put the sheets on ourselves. We used the swimming pool which didnt have a very clean look or smell to it. That could be maintained better or more often. And lastly, there was no complimentary breakfast which would be OK if I was able to order room service. Apparently, that isnt an option for this hotel on the weekends which makes absolutely no sense to me. The charge was $12.95 per person for a buffet style breakfast which at other hotels is complementary. I had to get out of my bed earlier then planned and drive to wawa to get breakfast for myself and family which I thought was ridiculous. Were not big eaters so paying $12.95 per person was not feasible and to not offer room service on weekends was unheard of to me. And this information was only given because we didnt have a menu in our room so my wife went down to get one.My experience was not good. STAFF NEEDS BETTER TRAINING and guests need to be treated like guest and not like the annoying family member that nobody wants to be there. I did not feel welcomed or at home. Also, while my family and I were eating our wawa breakfast we heard constant banging on doors. Not knocking, but banging like the police were out in the hall. Long and behold, its housekeeping. We decided to put our Do not disturb sign on the door and 3 minutes later guess what we hear at our door? Housekeeping! As Im getting up to go to the door guess who is walking thru the door. Housekeeping!Like I said before, terrible experience!
After using this hotel for the past 13 years I am happy to report that it has finally been remodeled. From the lobby to the rooms, it is looking great. The front desk staff is great. The restaurant only offers a breakfast buffet and bar food for dinner, but there are daily specials. However, the are plenty of local eateries in the area, some in walking distance. The bar is open just until 10PM, but the night I was there it was closed by 9:45.
I decided to stay here because I was attending an event nearby. I requested early check in the day I arrive so that I can drop my bags and shower before going the event. I was able to check in and hour early with no problem. The room was clean, I didnt have a decent view though. When I arrived back at the hotel that evening around 8 pm I realized that someone was having a childrens birthday party in the room across the hall. There were kids running up and down the halls talking loudly and shrieking well past midnight. The bed was very comfortable though so I did enjoy the little sleep I was able to get. I went downstairs in the morning to enjoy the free breakfast. I was glad that it was a full hot breakfast rather than just continental breakfast, but it was rather disappointing. The eggs tasted like some sort of terrible egg substitute and the French toast was rock jar. It tasted like it had been cooked three days ago and reheated every day since then. If I had to stay here again I would skip breakfast.
My family of three including a two year old stayed here for our summer family vacation. The room was great and spacious and we got a free upgrade and early check in when we arrived earlier than expected. We were able to be everywhere we schedule in a short period of time. I especially liked the cleanliness of this hotel. One issue we had was not having enough towels in our room after it was cleaned.
Room was very tidy and clean, plenty of towels and a great window view. The shower wasnt the best, the water was warm even when I adjusted it to the hottest option. Front desk/reception were friendly. The breakfast was not included in the room price, and the buffet was mediocre for how much it cost. I would stay there again, but Id avoid the breakfast and eat out.
This could have been a go to Hotel for me and my companions . Im a seamtress and Designer, we do fashion shows at various venues. Male and Female models who really apprecaite a clean Hotel. Your bathrooms are ecellent. Your food Amenties not so much. Everything just did not look fresh an welcoming. Your Restuarnt not being open at time of my check in was really disappointing.
Wister is amazing! He made my stay comfortable and effortless. Customer service or etiquette is not high on the roster for the other employees there. They left a lot to be desired. Great location, food and accessibility to 95. Bathrooms could be a lot bigger. Just be ready to wash your hands, be in the shower and on the toilet at the same time. They should lower the price but I see we are paying for the name. I will consider other locations before picking this one again at this rate.
Loved this hotel. Small but has everything you need. Rooms are stylish and up to date. Lobby/ restaurant/ lounge is cozy and comfortable. Staff was attentive and friendly. Location cant be beat; shopping and restaurants galore. Casino 10 minutes away. Would stay here again
The room was excellent. Service overall fine. The food was great. & we loved the restaurant atmosphere. Only complaint was the fire alarm went off. We could barely hear the alarm in our room and no one checked the floors to make sure everyone got out. A man in a wheelchair barely made it down and outside. Someone had to carry him out. & another man who was very obviously receiving chemotherapy had to also be carried out with his IV pole by their family member.
They are under construction which is fine and inderstood but the rooms werent as clean as Im used to for this chain, the ironing board was broken and the pool wasnt a heated salt water pool and it hadnt been cleaned in a while. Debris on the bottom and patches of hair floating everywhere. The staff was nice but that seems to be the best part.
Very rude and unreliable customer service. Called for tooth brushes & they told us we had to come to the front desk to get them when we’ve stayed here on plenty occasions and they always bring them up. Pure laziness. Then when we do go to get them, they say they don’t have anymore? Won’t be getting ANOTHER DIME of mine.
Positive: The location Cleanliness Negative: The receptionist was unfriendly. The toilet seat was wobbly when we first checked in Reported to the reception during check day & promised to send someone to fix it ,but no one came until I reported to the another receptionist, who send help immediately
Decided to check out the Four Points by Sheraton to add to my list of Marriott properties. So we drove down to Philly for the night and checked in and I thought it was going to go bad but being Im a Bonvoy member it quickly was resolved.Tister was the rep checking up in and he was very pleasant. He advised me that they were sold out and had no more kings and I advised him I booked a king. He spoke to his manager and she advised him that he was taking care of his guests and he had to make a decision so he upgraded up to a larger room which I appreciate him taking care of it.Parking lot was a nice size but if you going fast you will miss the entrance because its not a well lit sign and the entrance way is very small and sharp.Room was nice size. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Could have more towels in the bathroom but not a big deal. Another thing that was strange is they didnt have a coffee table by the sofa. Refrigerators need to get a bit colder because I had food that I brought back from the restaurant and wanted to make sure it was going to be good to eat the next day.I must say they get brownie points for the Bluetooth and wifi mirror in the bathroom. I played my Pandora right through the bluetooth in the bathroom while getting dressed.Overall I would recommend this location because it is reasonably price and you would get a decent night sleep. Just make sure you have a front desk person at the desk at all times because no one wants to wait to check out while the front desk lady is in the bathroom and she doesnt have backup and guests waiting for almost 10 min.
I want to start by saying the staff was wonderful! We were greeted by friendly staff every time we walked in the door. The room was extremely spacious and clean. The hallways, not so much. Definitely could have used some vacuuming. I had only two other issues with this stay. First the alarm clock in our room went off at 5 a.m. (which we did not set). I work at a hotel, so I know the clock could easily be missed by staff, but the fridge was not clean, which should not have been missed. The food was reasonably priced and the restaurant/bar area and downstairs lounge area were visually appealing. We were 10 minutes from the Franklin Mills Mall, 40 minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and just outside of the historical sights of Philadelphia. We were surrounded by too many stores and restaurants to name. Overall, for the price, it was a great buy! I would definitely stay here again.
Great rooms, warm and cozy, nice TV, beds were very comfortable and bathroom was spot on. Strong shower and plenty of hot water. Close to many stores and food locations.View from the room wasnt great but overall the stay was very nice. We were in town for a funeral and we didnt want to have additional distractions about the hotel. We were pleased, the hotel met our needs and did not cause us any additional stress.
We did not like the stay !!! The refrigerator did not work, we were charged for breakfast and we did not receive the service, apart from the fact that the pool was closed and in the room the television was so small that we could not see it well. A total disaster, we will never return to that place !!!
Overall my experience was fine. I did have some things that werent the best:1. Lack of plugs/outlets: wanted to plug phone in near bed but coudnt find access other than under the headboard (not convenient).-working from couch, again plugs were hard to come by in this room2. Air condition in 421 sounded rather loud so it wasnt optimal.3. Battery for the door was not working right but staff corrected it within minutes, no complaintsGood things;1. room was nice2. bathroom perfect3. staff was very nice and accomodating4. Breakfast staff in the restaurant were great5. Cleaning staff very friendly
Greetings means everything to me, it tells me about the person. I rate that part of my arriving excellent. Being informed about the hotel rooms and the area earned other points, because I like being aware of my surroundings. Receiving service for a complaint in a timely fashion was impressive. Which add stars to the points. I know all hotels are operated differently, but I enjoyed my stay with Four Points Sheraton because it was economical, comfortable and in a location that was convenient for my visit. Thank you for your service.
Worst place ever!! Was sent to three rooms!!! The last room I finally said enough. Through the night air conditioner wasnt working. The next morning I go to check out and an employee approaches me and I say you can take the next person I need to speak to the manager. He says I am the manager. Okay..so I start to explain about what happen with the three rooms and he says well we cam go check the air now!😳 Mister Im checking out, NO oh I sorry let see if I can do something, he just hands me the receipt. In all my years Ive never come in counter with a general manager that really understood what happened at HIS hotel. So I asked for the GM and he says I am the GM, so I ask for his bosses name, his number and the company phone number, he says I cant give you the number but here are two emails!! I said you cant give me the phone number!! Why, oh we arent allowed to give that information. Okay well give me the emails for your boss and his boss! He was nervous now hands shaking and all. Well you shouldve been accommodative. Needless to say havent heard back from anyone. I wont stay at any of there hotels or sister hotels again!!!
The hotel is very nice and location is great. The dinning area was nice, but the menu is very small. My room was clean with exception to the bathroom. When I entered the room I quickly noticed that the sink was clogged and covered in hair. As I looked around I also noticed that the shower/tub was also not clean and full of hair. It took 2 days for me to personally unclog the drains although I notified the front desk twice. Although my stay was ok, I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the bathroom. I would have to consider other hotels in the area on my next visit to the area.
This was my second stay at this particular property. I stayed here 4 years ago for a wedding. The property was very consistent over both stays. It is a clean, nice, comfortable property. Upon check in, my SPG recognition was given. I thought the nice welcome bag with water and chips, is an extremely nice touch because it has you entering the property on a very good and optimistic note. I only stayed one night and was hardly at the property so I didnt get to experience any of the hotel outlets. Overall, I was pleased with my stay and will stay here again, if I am in the area.
I do not normally write reviews of establishments that I visit, but my stay at this hotel was so completely unacceptable, that I wish to help others avoid a similar pitfall of paying top dollar for a slum-quality experience. There were three of us from the same company staying the same night and we all agree that conditions were completely unacceptable. The desk and bar staff were friendly and courteous, but this is where any positives end. We were charged a Five Star hotel room rate (530.15 which included taxes), yet the general hotel condition was that of a low rate motel. The business center consisted of a table and a couple of computers in the lobby and offered no privacy. Room AC equipment was extremely loud and came on every 5 minutes or so (I could have run the fan all night, but it was unnecessarily noisy), thermostat was not calibrated properly. My co-workers AC did not work to cool his room. Street noise outside the room was very disruptive (5th floor room). Bathroom fixtures were loose (both sink and shower) and poorly chosen for the application. The room and bathroom were not clean at all in a sanitary sense. My co-worker had hair all over his bathroom and a used coffee pod in his room coffee maker. Furnishings were basic motel-quality items and the beds had metallic bases which made noise whenever I moved. Closet space consisted of a cabinet in the desk/entertainment unit that hung items back-to-front, so was not convenient for dressing/undressing. The bar and bar food were acceptable and the bartender very friendly and courteous, but the restaurant was not open in the morning when I went down for breakfast, so I was forced to visit another hotel for food on my way to the airport.
Even though we only stayed one night, we enjoyed our stay.We took the early Breakfast buffet and it was very good. The ONLY thing that management should keep an eye on is how the furniture is aging with the years. Design is good, but the hinges, finishes and overall aging does not do justice to the hotel. As an aside, a quiet AC unit would be greatly appreciated.
Convenient location on Route 1 in Northeast Philadelphia. Nicely renovated property with comfortable beds and pillows. The room and bathroom were spotless and the white towels were soft and plentiful. In room fridge, microwave and coffee maker are appreciated amenities. All of the staff members whom we encountered were pleasant and professional. Check in and out were a breeze. There is also a restaurant and bar in the lobby. We had dinner and my husbands steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. I had a hummus and quinoa salad that was fresh and tasty. Would definitely book there again!
This hotel was certainly a cut above some other recent experiences. The room had free wireless which worked flawlessly, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and we also had a coffee pot, refrigerator, and microwave. The staff here is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They are obviously well-trained to welcome and treat guests with both respect and care. The breakfast was just what we needed and had nice variety of hot and cold items. This hotel is a standout for its reasonable rate, pleasant environment, and top notch staff. I will return.
I am writing in regard to my recent stay at the Four Points by Sheraton. My wife and I booked a suite for the morning of 8/24/19 so that her and the wedding party can get ready for the special day. We booked through an employee, Bessie, who we had multiple emails, phone conversations, and in person meetings with. Since the salon in the hotel was already booked, we discussed having chairs and mirrors set up to imitate the salon. When we arrived at 7am, we gave the hotel our last name, who then ushered us into the salon. After a few minutes, we realized there was an issue. We went out to the front desk and explained the situation, that we were told the salon was booked and that the hotel would set up a similar room in a suite. The staff had absolutely no clue what was happening. We were told we have to wait 30 minutes as no managers were in yet - this cut into the hair and makeup time. We were then moved to the 6th floor suite where there were no chairs or mirrors. 2 high chairs were brought in - so high that the hair dresser could not even reach the brides head to do the hair. We ended up sitting at the table to do this work. We had to ask an additional time to get a standing mirror, 1 was eventually brought. After the wedding, we checked into our hotel room to stay the night. There was NO bartender present. We just confirmed this with Bessie several days prior via email. Our wedding party, family, and friends came back to the hotel - some of which purchased rooms, some came for a few drinks. It was extremely embarrassing and a disappointment on our wedding night that we were told all bartenders have gone home for the night. At this point, we contemplated leaving. However, we do not live close enough to uber home for the night, then Uber back to our vehicle that we left at the hotel in the morning. The hotel room had 1 warm complimentary water bottle - cold ones were $2.50.. again, no bartender present to serve thirsty guests. As you can imagine, the lack of communication spoiled the remainder of our wedding evening. We are extremely disappointed with our treatment at the four points by Sheraton north east philadelphia. Staff was not made aware as to our accommodations, and did not care enough to right the wrongs that we experienced.
I made my reservation for two rooms a month in advance and I was not told or did I see on your terms and conditions that balloons and cakes were not allowed in the rooms.I spent money on my balloons to decorate the room for a Pajama Party for my 56 birthday. It was not going to destroy the room. In addition, I was not told by reservations that renovations were going on. I have stayed at the hotel previously so I was able to visualize what I wanted to do with my girl for games. I wanted to utilize the sitting area and I could not.I want a refund for my balloons and a partial refund for my stay. In addition, calling your hotel today July 3, 2018 I was not able to speak to a manager. The first, person heard me out and than told me to told call back and push 0. The second, person heard me out and told me the manager will not be in until 3:00 p.m. This is SAD!
Dad and I were there for my nieces High School graduation. The staff at the Hotel were very nice. The key didnt open the doors but the lady at the desk fixed it. All was good there. The mattress was hard as a rock but I asked for 2 extra blankets and I used them and the comforter for a makeshift bed topper and it helped. I did manage to get some sleep. Found out after check out time that the hotel was getting new mattresses. Ill have to come back to test them out on my next trip to Phillie. Phone didnt work, but I just went to the desk for what I needed. Good exercise, so no big deal. Body Wash in shower dispenser didnt work but I used the shampoo which turned out to be better for my dry and sunburned skin. Room a little outdated, but I didnt care. It was clean and bigger than my own bedroom which I loved. I had a very pleasant surprise in my room. I opened the drawer to find a Bible in it. WOW!! That was great because I left mine at home. Im an old school country girl so that meant a lot to me. Dad said he slept good and had no complaints. Food was fresh and very good.
Im not from a big city so it is always shocking when I visit one & see how high the prices are. Older hotel so the rooms were of that style, no fluff but functional. Staff was friendly & theres a nice bar/lounge for relaxing. It was quiet & I felt safe, also a bonus for a woman traveling alone. The free shuttle was a perk, especially since it was one of the cheaper hotels in the area.
The bathroom is super tiny and is hard to open the door without getting hit by it, buuuut, the mirror was pretty cool, even though the Bluetooth on it wasnt working... the woman who works during the day is really rude and unprofessional...the covid restrictions are OVERLY enforced...the room was nice and it was very clean, but thats the only reason I gave it 2 more stars than it really deserves
The location was convenient to a wedding we were attending. The staff was friendly. The bar/lounge area was nice for gathering with other wedding guests before and after the wedding. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint would be breakfast and coffee service. Breakfast was available for a fee and not that great. Coffee, cream etc in the lobby were not being replenished to keep up with demand. We would still recommend if you are attending a function in the area.
We did not like the stay !!!The refrigerator did not work, we were charged for breakfast and we did not receive the service, apart from the fact that the pool was closed and in the room the television was so small that we could not see it well.A total disaster, we will never return to that place !!!
I have stayed at this hotel in the past and was not overly impressed. The most recent stay there seems to have been a change for the better. Pleasant check in staff, a room away from traffic and noisy guests left me with a restful sleep.the rooms appear to be upgraded recently.I hope this change for the better continues through my next stay.
This place was totally awesome. The rooms with the decor were nicely done. The room was very clean and cozy. The amenities were perfect. One issue with our bathroom sink, the water.was standing! Yup! It would not go drain as being used please fix the ASAP! But, again we wil tetirn. Yeah! Room 630 please address the issue with the water.
I was staying at the Sheraton while my husband was a patient at Fox Chase. Aside from the hotel being very attractive and comfortable, they gave me a discounted rate and free breakfast due to their affiliation with the hospital. The staff was very accommodating to my need to add days, as my husband‘s stay was day to day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
Mia , the sales director was amazing. However, her general manager Jack Haggerty was very disrespectful. My church group is still currently trying to come to the facility however he is not trying to work with us. I am hoping he waives the non refundable deposit after seeing this review. I have been in the hotel industry for years and have never been spoken to the way he spoke to me. Great customer service is so important when running a successful hospitality business.
Im writing this in regards to recent stay at the four points Philadelphia Northeast. We were in town for a wedding and booked a room in the block with the wedding party. We were in room 633. When I originally made the reservation going to be staying for two nights ended up changing it to just one.when I called to change the reservation whoever I spoke with was more than helpful I asked him about early check in he informed me that the concierge would email me back within 72 hours.I also asked if early check-in is not available if the hotel would be able to provide us with a place to change our clothes into wedding attire and dress our 15 month old son ,that wasnt a public restroom he was the ringbearer in the wedding We arrived at Hotel early in hopes to check in earlyand no rooms were available. Thats fine I understood.when I asked the girl at the desk there was a place we could change she hastily pointed towards the restroom im said you can change there. Myself that was fine. But we did up changing our 15-month-old son in the trunk of the car. I was a little discouraged about that. We went to the wedding and arrived back at the hotel to check in around 3. When we got to our room I was stunned to see that the siZe was a lot smaller than the pictures I viewed online. I spoke with the man when making reservations and asked if there was enough room in the king room for a portable crib, he assured me just like the pics there was. We found different upon our arrival. So that was fine too.We arrived back from the reception around 10pm. Around 2 am we heard a loud bunch of people partying in the hallway which woke our son. After struggling to get him back to sleep we were awoken yet again by someone banging on the door down the hallway. Which woke our son yet again. This was around 3. The banging went on for such a long time that I became nervous and my husband had to call the front desk. Overall very disappointed with our stay at this facility.
The greeting at the front desk was by far the best experience in all of my years staying at Starwood hotels. The gentleman who checked me in was top notch. The room was so spacious, had hooks to hang coats by the front door, and a bench to either place a suitcase or to put on shoes. It was such a perfect room. This was also the first time I was upgraded with my gold status. I was so impressed with this hotel. It was quiet, clean and extremely comfortable.
It was your typical hotel. The room was clean. The heating system worked well. The breakfast was expensive as was dinner the night before. I ordered a meatball sub and it was made with frozen meatballs and very little sauce. It was also cold. I ate it because I had nothing else. I would suggest going out to eat since there are plenty of restaurants around. Overall the stay was good, food average and costs were a little expensive for what you want.
I was not at all impressed. In this industry, the guests experience should be seamless. Our stay began with a dirty comforter which was replaced promptly but I was already grossed out. The breakfast, for which we had paid extra, was inedible. Literally. Eggs were overcooked, sausage was pink in center and potatoes were like pebbles. The pool had actual garbage floating in it and the room was too cold to enjoy a comfortable swim. On Christmas Day the breakfast was a plate of muffins, which I couldnt eat because of a gluten allergy. The shuttle, which was a selling point for us, was not being offered over the weekend. The paint is peeling in our room and bathroom. Even though it was a holiday, there is always a way to find staff and ensure that a travelers needs are met. Once, I could not even reach the front desk when I called, although the phone rang at least 20 times. I am very disappointed with this location.
I reserved at this hotel because of the Sheraton name. Upon arrival the staff was amazing, very friendly & curtious. The check in proccess was very quick and hassle free. The lobby and reception area were clean and incluttered. My room was on the third floor, room 329. The hallway carpet is very dirty and stained. There is an odor in the air of cigarette smoke as if people smoke in their rooms regardless of the fact that this is a non smoking property. The room neat, however it was not clean as expected. The carpet is rough and sticky. It seems very old and not well maintained. The grout in the bathtub is yellow and the edges discolored. The informational flyers in the room are stained and seemed used by previous guests. I guess I had high expectations on this property and was surprised to find these simple things out of order. Really a shame, since the location is so ideal. Did not use the pool or restaurant since I was a bit disgusted.
Great hotel, staff is super friendly, great bar and restaurant area. Just recently updated, the decor is beautiful. The beds are so comfortable and the bed linens are so comfy, real linens, not just a flat sheet. Desk area to work at, AC worked very well. The bathroom has a smart mirror, so cool. There is a microwave coffee maker and fridge in the room and a complimentary bottle of water. Very clean everywhere in hotel. They have a little store inside that sells snacks, beer, water, soda, ice cream, ramen noodles, and some first aid. The bar even has local craft brews.
When I arrived to the hotel there was only one person checking in customers needless to stay there was a long line. Check was pretty easy, the room was very nice but I was not able to watch tv but only 1 channel. The other channels said no signal. It did not bother me too much being that I was not staying in the room most of the time anyway but I would hope my next stay I would hope that would be fixed. Even though I did not take advantage of the hotels salt water pool I heard some complaints from other guest that there was too many children in the pool at once for them to enjoy the pool. I noticed
The Four Points Sheraton Philadelphia Northeast did an awesome job hosting my recent breakfast meeting. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The morning of my event, I had immediate attention, helping me with set up in a very friendly way. Nancy, my server, was awesome! My arrangements were made by Bessie Valenti, and she was wonderful--she checked in with me several times before the event and was very attentive. It was a great experience. I stayed at the hotel the night before my event. The hotel is in an ideal location, close to restaurants. It was a great place to stay and I wouldnt hesitate to use the facility again. The Four Points Sheraton gets a 10 from me!
Air Conditioner did not work and I advise the front desk on Tuesday morning and there was no change when I returned on Tuesday.Carpet was not cleaned until Thursday (I ate in my room on Monday night and dropped crumbs on the floor by the sofa) and they remained until Thursday evening.Thursday evening I had no towels and went i called for towels, i was brought one of each towel size. This hotel is literally minutes from where I work so it is very handy and I keep coming back because of the Front Desk Staff/Dining Room & Bar Staff.
The location is the driving reason to stay here. This stay was dissapointing. I had no soap or shampoo for shower. The dispensers in the shower were empty. The sinks in the rooms are horrible. Cant control the pressure and most of them dont drain well... The air units are noisy. The lobby and restaraunt are very nice, but the rooms need updating.
If only the look and finishings of the build were as nice as our stay however, we were poorly mistaken. Checking in, were told to have a seat and wed be notified when our room was ready. Never happened. An hour later, got back in line after watching 30 people go in ahead of us while my 6 month old is crying to be nursed (which I wanted to do in the room). The guests next to us were incredibly loud, I asked them twice to keep it down since my son was trying to nap. There was also a dirty sock on our bathroom floor. Checking out my husband was told youre the guy who threw me under the bus referencing how we told the manager about the awful check in. We dont stay at many hotels but this was absolutely the worst service we have ever recieved.
We booked our room merely a few hours before we arrived, yet when we arrived the type of room we booked was not available. We were given an accessible room which is not in and of itself a problem. But the room, number 207, was unbelievably loud. We heard pipes every single time someone turned on water. The air conditioning was so noisy I woke up every time it turned on or off. We heard every person who spoke in the rooms around us or in the hallway. The hotel itself needed some updates and was on the older side with regards to decor, carpet, paint, etc... Worst. Dont go. $169 down the drain.
They over booked and gave me what they had not what I paid for. No comp. But a breakfast buffet for 1 day I was there for 3. I paid for a king suite with pull out sofa. Got there after a long drive from florida to be told the dont have any of those rooms ( even though thats what i paid for). I booked my room a week in advance. So I thought that was shady. Did not get comp for what i paid for. No money back. Just beware if you every stay there!
Not sure if the employees completely understand what clean means. The bathroom was awful. Hair everyone and dusty as if no one had stayed in the room in quite some time. One of the beds smelled as if someone had already slept in it and the sheets were not changed. I did not get into my room until very late at night so stripped the bedding the next day on both beds so I would make sure new sheets were put on. I was in the room until noon time and never receiced a knock for room service...they must work late. The rooms need to be much cleaner. I should be able to go to another Four Points and see the same type of cleanliness. The customer service was average. Nothing to write home about.
4 stars for 4 Points. I stayed there a grand total of 4 weeks. The first 2 weeks were great. Loved the pool and work out center. My other 2 weeks every thing was closed for renovations, so I was wholeheartedly disappointed since I really wanted to work out and take my toddler swimming. Convenient to walking distance restaurants and a painting with wine class right next door.
This hotel was incredibly disappointing. Not only was there a smell that permeated throughout the hotel, but the rooms were so sticky that no matter how high you turned on the AC, you felt like you constantly needed to shower. Also, I had a horrible time getting the TV in my room fixed. When I arrived on Tuesday, I had called the front desk letting them know that my TV didnt work. They said that they would send maintenance up, but no one showed. Then on Wednesday, I called them again, to let them know that my TV was still broken and they said that they didnt see my name on the list so they added me. I waited for 30 minutes and then called the front desk again and they said again that my name was not on the list, but they assured me that someone would come up to fix it. A half hour later I left the hotel for dinner and upon my return, stopped at the front desk to ask if my TV was fixed. They looked at their list and said that my name wasnt on it anymore and that means that it was in fact taken care of. I questioned them because I purposely left a do not disturb sign on my door and either they didnt fix my tv and my name should still be on this list they kept talking about, or they ignored the sign and went into my room. The woman at the front desk told me to go up to my room and check and then call them. I went up to my room and no surprise, my TV was still not working. I called the front desk again and told them that I was tired of asking for them to fix the TV and that it needed to be taken care of. Once again, they reassured me it would be taken care of. I waited until midnight and still... no one came up. Thursday morning I awoke to a knock on my door at 8 a.m. (while my do not disturb sign was up) to a maintenance man. He came in and oddly asked if this was the first time I had put in a request for the TV, I let him know that I had been asking for it to be fixed since I arrived. He then told me that he needed to replace the entire TV. At the end of the day, I was happy that it was finally fixed, but it was absolutely ridiculous the run around that I had to go through and the incompetency that the front desk displayed.
I recently stayed at this hotel last month as we had a wedding in the area.It was the worst experience Ive ever had at a hotel. I have travel around the world and have never received such poor service. I would have written this review sooner but I have been busy and I wanted to take my time to explain how truly painful my stay was at this hotel. Our evening begin when we arrived at the front desk to check in at approximately 4:45 pm. Kay was the name of the gentleman attempting to check us in. In short, this process took approximately 20 minutes as we didnt receive our keys until about 5:05. Part of the problem was our reservation was for 2 double beds and the hotel didnt have any rooms with 2 beds available as a large group extended their stay. Additionally, Kay had to run our credit card 3 times. Finally, he said he would give us a room with a pull out couch and a double bed. This was not acceptable but we agreed to take the keys because the shuttle for the wedding was leaving at 5:30 and we had to get changed before the shuttle left.Next, when we got to the unacceptable room, there was no pull out couch, and the air conditioner was taken apart and there were tools all over the room. Again, we had to catch the shuttle at 5:30, so by this time its around 5:10 so we just decided to get changed in the room, pack our stuff back up and put it in the car because the shuttle was leaving at 5:30 and we didnt have another 20 minutes to waste talking to Kay. Then, in the middle of my fiance and I getting changed, the mechanic knocked on our door, rudely demanded he be allowed in to get his tools. I told him we would be out in 15 minutes and to go talk to Kay. So once we finally changed, we lugged our stuff down 6 flights of stairs (to top it all off, the elevators werent working/were taking forever), and packed it in the car.Needless to stay, with all this chaos, we missed the shuttle and had to drive to the wedding. When we returned from the wedding, there were keys to a room with two double beds, which was a nice surprise, but the air conditioner didnt work. By this point in the night, we didnt have the energy to complain, so we just left early in the morning. We honestly thought we were on a TV show and the whole experience was a joke. Finally, I wrote to the general manager to express my displeasure of my stay and i got no response.Hope this isnt a common experience for your guests.
We stayed for 3 nights. We were off to a rocky start at first with construction going on in the room next to us. But we were able to move to a newly renovated room away from the construction. Overall it was a nice stay. My biggest thing was that the WiFi was terrible and I ended up using my mobile data. But overall nice rooms and a beautiful lobby area.
We have SPG gold and called a few days before our stay to ask for an upgrade to suite and they said we need to do it at checkin and many are available and it wouldnt be a problem. At checkin, there werent any available and we were dissapointed. but they put us in a different room, and when we got to the room, the A/C didnt work and toilet didnt flush. They immediately switched us to a different room, in which the refrigerator didnt work! They replaced the fridge immediately, and after that the stay was great. Room was comfortable, staff was helpful. The pool and gym were also nice. After the initial hiccups, we had a good experience.
I will say the server was very nice as well as the lady who checked me out in the am. The night person could barely look up from her desk. The bathroom was so small I could not close the door unless I stood next to the toilet. The bathroom was clean, as were the towels but the rooms need some updating. Rugs seem dirty and old. Close by to many stores and restaurants. Its better than Super 8 , but thats it.
The whole hotel needs updating. Furniture is showing signs of wear. Rusty door jam in bathroom. Tubs were recoated, so thats a plus. Toilet paper holder falling off wall. Only one hook in bathroom and that holds the blow dryer. Sinks still drain slowly and that I noticed 6 years ago when I stayed there. Ate the buffet breakfast which was good but was automatically charged 18% tip. That is totally wrong! Besides being forced to tip, it was a buffet, the server had minimal duties. So to me its only worth a 10% tip. The rooms are large and thats a plus. Large work area, good for business travelers.
For a hotel that has just been renovated, the rooms look like they have been around for years. Cheap looking wardrobe closets, the surface of our night stands are bubbling up, you have to squeeze past the toilet to get into the shower. We have had to call maintenance three times to repair items in our room. The lobby looks updated but the rest of the hotel looks very outdated. Ive stayed at Marriott hotels all over the world and this is at the bottom as far as quality.
Hotel was great, room and bed were very comfortable. One question is I couldnt figure out how to get hot water out of the faucet. I assume it was the control buttons on the mirror. There should be instructions on how to do it. Dinner was very good. Breakfast wasnt. As stated earlier many hot items were cold, and a pastry I tried was half frozen.
Really nice place. Very pleasantly surprised. Its currently cold here, but the room was hot. Even though we had the AC set to 60F, I had to sleep with no covers as it refused to obey. The curtain wouldnt close all of the way to the wall, so 5am sunlight was annoying.
Hotel charges too much for their rooms due to their decor needs many updates. They have people hanging outside begging for money and cigarettes. They give vouchers and homeless live there. This hotel charges incidental fees per night so be sure to get a full total before arriving if you are a young adult and don’t have credit card. The housekeeping staff was friendly. The breakfast was ok.
At first glance it seemed to be a great place to stay but once i was there i found that some of the front desk staff was rude and the room we stayed in wasnt properly prepared. There were no trash bags in the room the sofa bed had no sheets on it and there were no pillows or blankets to use with the sofa bed. The bathroom seems clean but if you look closely the floor under the sink wasnt cleaned and the room we were in the tub stopper didnt work i had to plug the drain with a wash cloth to give my children a bath.
Overall my month long stay at the hotel was great. The front desk staff, cleaning staff and restaurant staff were very professional and friendly. The rooms were good but my only complaint is with the heating/cooling system. It is very noisy when it runs making it hard to hear while on the phone or watching TV.Since I was staying at the hotel for a month while down on training I would like to suggest that perhaps the front desk staff would put people with extended stays on the top floor at the end to minimize the noise for the extended stay guests. I was on the second floor in about the middle and heard constant banging on the floor above and had many noisy guests running up and down the hall, slamming doors and talking loud several times throughout my stay. Overall my stay was good and I would stay there again if I was in the area.
Starting from hallway carpeting to room furnishing and linen, it needs improvement for the price I paid for SPG property. Room had a tired, musty smell probably from many wet/damp/spillage cycles on the carpet. My expectations were painfully not met!Front desk Staff attitude was also unpolished. I had called in advance and requested and assured of early check in. When I arrived, I was refused saying the property was booked. I said I was assured and hold Platinum status. Mumbled something like they should stop promising that. And with some begrudging checking again, given a room. This was not a welcome I appreciated after a long exhausting West-to-East coast travel and another 40 minute cab ride from airport! Not being able to stay and sleep comfortably, I had to check out earlier than planned, and look for alternative properties in Philly to stay the balance during my business trip.

2022-02-21We stayed for my son’s hockey tournament. The room was clean, beds were quite comfortable. The downstairs lobby area was a good set-up for relaxing and hanging out (for the adults- kids got bored easily and weren’t given a conference room when we asked for a hangout spot for them.) The bar service on Saturday night was a disappointment. There needed to be more than just the one-woman show- I am sure her attitude might have been more hospitable if she had extra help to do the food AND drink service. The chef came out on Sunday night while we hung out and made sure we were enjoying our stay. There were some undesirables in and out of the hotel the whole weekend. A guy on some sort of drugs kept appearing in the lobby, scaring the kids. As long as my room was clean and comfy, it was easy to overlook the other issues.

2022-01-17I came to Philadelphia for work as a contract worker and stayed at Four Points for several weeks, it was awesome and brings back great memories. I could walk to just about anywhere I wanted. The workers there were friendly and personable. It was clean and up to date. Nice bathrooms w amenities. I highly recommend it.

2022-06-19Beautiful!!!! I will say they need more hooks in the bathroom however. Other than that it’s an amazing stay. TODAY was weird and a first for me. The lights/ electricity went out for a few hours today. Came back on at 7:12 pm so from about 3 pm till the. There was no AC nothing. And it sucked because the windows don’t even crack open a little, so I was a bit annoyed by this.

2022-02-20Hotel was way better than I expected! The room was spacious and nice and the bathroom was really nice. I guess my only complaint would be the heat. It didnt work as good as it should have. But other than that I have no complaints

2022-04-20Positive: Perfect location for where I had to be at. Very quiet and clean. Nice and big room, very updated bathroom as well! No issues at all, had plenty of parking spaces, no hassle. Negative: Shame there wasnt available room service or continental breakfast being offered at the time.

2022-05-12Me and my friend had reservations for 3 days April 29th-May 1st, the hotel itself was nice but our room was AWFUL. We arrived in the evening, from a long drive and there were roaches in our bathroom and dead roaches on the carpet. The manager was nice enough to move us but didnt give us our money back from the first night, I felt like they should of gave us our money back from the first night, needless to say I will not be staying there when I travel back to Philadelphia.

2022-06-21Mediocre at best. The in-room lighting was so poor that its hard to see in the room. Shower curtain rod falling off the wall and bathroom sink drain was clogged - maintenace was slow on both. Bath towels were not changed at all during our 4-day visit - we had to beg housekeepers for new towels, and they were terrified to give us any b/c management did not give them enough to share. No password for the WIFI (!?). No continental breakfast - just coffee and tea (!?). WORST YET: they charged a different rate every night, and the rates increased randomly every night. Best to avoid this hotel

2022-04-02I really wish that I could provide this hotel zero or no stars at all. The manager was nasty and rude. As a retired vet, I really was not expecting horrible service. Back in December 2021, I selected a King Deluxe room, and when I called (2 hours prior to checking in) to confirm the room, the manager informed me that theyre overbooked, but would not refund me the money. The manager futher attempted to insult my intelligence by suggesting that I booked my stay through priceline.com; however, I never used that website. Please, do not use this hotel.

2022-06-23Beautiful hotel. There was a wedding reception that weekend and the staff was very accommodating to the hotel guests as well as the bridal party that we could see in passing. Hotel is Close to main roads, airport and car rental. Restaurants in close vicinity.
