Horrible customer service. I’ve been calling for a week trying to get an appointment for my child and someone over seas always answers the phone saying the office will call me back to schedule the appointment and I still haven’t received a call.
I appreciate the staff at this eye care facility . The front desk staff listened to my concerns today . Also , Dr. Schechter is thorough to give a good exam for our care . Patients at time need to go over benefits when it comes to vision and I appreciate the patience extended to my son and I today .
I brought my son here last week for the first time and was very impressed with our experience. Scheduling an appointment was easy online and we had no wait the day of of our visit. Every staff member was friendly and I felt safe with their covid measures. The doctor was very thorough and took time to explain and answer our questions. We will definitely return and will begin visiting here for all of our families vision needs.
Called for a new patient appointment for my child. The womans phone etiquette was superb!!!! When she heard there was an ongoing issue with her eye, she moved my appointment to their first available as an emergency. I felt as though my childs care was as important to her as it is to me!Due to Covid-19, I had to call when we arrived at the office but was told I could enter immediately. Throughout the entire visit there was little to no waiting!After entering, we were greeted by one of the best office staff I have ever had the privilege of working with. EVERYONE was friendly, polite and was as gentle as possible with my child. The nurse was so knowledgeable I thought she was the doctor! Everyone made sure all of our questions were answered and didnt judge when some of our answers were less than ideal.Trust me, when it comes to my children and their health, I am the pickiest mother and will do my best to ensure they have the best care. This office far surpassed all my expectations and I will definitely be doing business with them again!
I scheduled my 7 and 10 yr old for eye exams for the 1st time and I cant thank the staff at Fox Chase Family Eye Care enough. The office smelled nice, was very clean, and had all the precautions set due to the pandemic. From checkin to checkout, each person we had contact with was so pleasant and gave excellent service to my girls. The techs were polite and the dr was wonderful. Even the lady that helped fit my daughter for her glasses and pick out the frames was so personable and made my daughter feel comfortable with getting glasses. Im very happy with the service and I appreciate how well this office took care of my daughters and I.

Been visiting the office for approximately 32 years! I have NEVER had a bad experience. They are clean, knowledgeable, thorough, VERY caring and personable. I was greeted graciously by receptionist, thoroughly and gingerly cared for by the assistant, given opportunity to ask and answer relevant questions regarding my eye health and well being. Doc was most professional and thorough. Couldn’t ask for better. Office mgr patiently explained my plan and took time to help with glasses. It was a custom job on all ends. I’m thankful for all of them!

I was extremely happy to see the Covid 19 safety measures in place. The office is clean and well organized. The optical selection of glasses is great. Heather is amazing and her knowledge of optical is superior. Erin is also a tremendous team member and an asset to the practice especially during the pandemic. The staff is also great. Dr. Schechter is amazing and makes everyone of his patients feel secure and completely well taken care of from the minute they meet him. I wouldnt go anywhere else!
There are countless eye doctors in my neighborhood, but I travel over 30 extra minutes for Fox Chase Family Eye Care.Dr. Schechter, Erin, Heather, Beth.. everyone here has been a stress free pleasure to do business with, and they are simply the best for my eye care !

First time at this Optometrist office. Made this appointment for my 7 year old son. The staff were friendly and made my son feel at ease. The doctor was funny and sweet with my son. My son did end up needing glasses, and their staff were great at helping us find a pair he will be happy to wear. I would definitely recommend to someone looking for a place to take their child.

The practice manager and the technicians were very professional and knowledgeable regarding my care. Dr. Schechter explained everything to me and answered all of my questions regarding my eyes. Terrible experience taking my little girls to their eye exams. It was my younger one’s first eye exam. My 3 small children and I arrived in our masks a few minutes before their appointment time . The person at the front desk, Erin, would not let my children sit on the designated “social distanced” sofa because, according to her, she hadn’t cleaned it yet after the last person sat there. So I stood for about 5 minutes, waiting, and my little ones sat on a different sofa (that I hope was cleaned). She never did clean the “dirty” sofa while we were in there, but she kept saying how they clean it after every person sits in it. Then Erin called my youngest back and said that I couldn’t go back with her unless I left my other two little children, one of which is 4 years old and the other just turned 8, in the waiting room. I told her I would absolutely be going back with my daughter and I would not be leaving my other children in the waiting room without me. I told her that we would all be going back and could wait in the hallway if it’s too crowded in the room. Erin then told me not to get “upset “. I asked her if she’d like us to leave, and she began to say how she looks different with her mask on and she isn’t upset. The whole experience was baffling; it felt like the twilight zone. Then Erin rushed back to “speak with the doctor” regarding how I would not leave my small children alone. Then she returned and said we could wait in an area in the back near the exam rooms. I asked if the seats in that area were cleaned and she said yes, they were sprayed with Lysol. So I agreed and the girls had their appointments and the doctor was very good and very nice. I’d give him 5 stars. Then we moved to the area where you pick out glasses. The woman there pulled out a bin with a selection of about 8 to 10 glasses, only some of which were small child sized. My daughter didn’t really like any of them (nor did I). I asked about the huge wall of children’s glasses, specifically the non breakable ones . The woman said, “Those are extra”. I asked how much. She said $9. I don’t think $9 would break anyone’s bank so of course my girls picked adorable glasses from there. Needless to say, despite the wonderful doctor, we won’t be returning because of the office help. I do want to add that the lady who checked us out after the exam where we paid, and the technician who performed the exam were very good and very nice. But overall, not a good experience.
I just left Fox Chase Family Eye Care and I must say this practice is beyond amazing. First let me say that the office was very inviting, clean, big and a one stop shop for us busy moms! I save the best for last, the entire staff are amazing from the second you walk in you are warmly greeted by the receptionist, who was very polite.Each staff member from Amber the technician who was very polite and awesome with both my kids, to Dr. Schechter who took the time to explain and educate me as a parent on eye health, with additional resources. Lastly Tyler was great! He was very personable and polite, both my kids appreciated his help in choosing their frames. Overall excellent service, great staff and inviting atmosphere. You wont be disappointed!
I have a complex high myopia-astigmatism issue and had had 3 optometric exams given by other optometrists with limited success. Finally was able to resolve my issues here after a careful eye exam. The office is well-organized, the staff and optician very pleasant and cooperative. They have a good selection of frames and its obvious they have taken a great deal of effort to make the environment Covid-safe. I have nothing negative to say about my experience here.

This highly professional optometry office is located in a great section of Northeast Philly! The staff at this office are truly the best! They are friendly,welcoming,and will definitely go the extra mile for anyone! No request is too much for them to assist you with! The selection of glasses as well as contact lens are amazing! The doctor is top notch with state of the art testing for every person that enters his facility. The comforting reception room has all modern ammenities from Keurig coffee maker,sodas,candy to cell phone chargers and videos for the entire family to view! Relax in the beautiful atmosphere! I had the opportunity to visit this establishment for the first time in February for my initial assessment. From the moment I entered, I was treated so very well by every member of Dr. Dunoffs staff. I was able to watch the staff interactions with others arriving for their appointments while awaiting my turn. I witnessed an individual arrive that did not appear to be feeling well, but by the time she left, she was smiling and chatting with the technician. It has to have been one of the very best eye appointments I have had!! Thank you very much, Fox Chase Family Eye Care!!

During the time of social distancing and mask wearing, I was curious how I will be able to get my eye exam safely. From the minute I called to the minute I walked in, Foxchase Family Eyecare was extremely professional and safe. Erin was amazing explaining all the different safety techniques that Foxchase Family Eyecare is doing to prevent the spread of germs. She made me feel safe and protected from the beginning to the end of my time spent at Fox Chase Family Eye Care! Heather was great also in the optical. Dr. Schechter is outstanding and I wouldn’t go anywhere else he has been taking care of me for years and his professionalism and knowledge is the best. The appt was for my daughter and we both left wirh a smile on our faces. They made us both very comfortable and made sure that my daughter was taken care of. The staff was incredible! Service was great, from receptionist to assistant to doctor to product counter. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Atmosphere very relaxing and child friendly. I had scheduled an appointment for my 6 year old daughter and had an awesome experience at Fox Chase Family Eye Care with Dr. Uriel B. Schechter. He definitely has a passion for what he does, especially with dealing with kids. My daughter at first wasn’t to fond about her eye exam but Dr. Schechter broke through the wall of fear and shyness with his dancing ear trick, that she was so amazed about. I’d definitely recommend him as your O.D.Also all of the staff members were very friendly. I myself will become a patient now.

My eye was hurting real bad and I was new in this area. I didnt know where to go. Going to Wills Eye Hospital was going to be a real pain if I had to go. I called Fox Chase Family Eye Care to see if they could help me. They got me in rather quickly and took care of the problem. They care about their patients and do all that could be done to make it it a satisfying experience. They know what they are doing and they do it well. What a great bunch of people. Im so glad I made that call.. Awesome business.. They are my Eye Guys for sure.

This place is great! They helped me pick the perfect frame for me and was very detailed about my eyes. No other eye care facility took the time to help me with what I wanted or explain to me about my eyes. I really felt like they cared about my needs. Love this place!
This place is nice on the surface, has so many great reviews, but this is the only place I have ever had any problem with and I cant even count on one hand how many problems I have had with them. I know all doctors offices want money but I have great insurance and I left there paying 500$ out of pocket for just an eye exam and glasses only god knows how much they took from my insurance company on top of that, now every time I call they keep trying to scam me out of more and more money, they forced trial contacts that I didnt want and said I could just come right back to get new ones if I didnt like them, well when I went back they said it would be 100 $ to refit me for new trials! my glasses just broke but I am too scared to even call them because I know they will charge me hundreds and the front desk woman is so rude. I could list a lot of other problems / scams but this review is already so long!
Clean office and friendly staff. This was my daughter second time attending here and I couldn’t ask for a better eye doctor. Very detail and explanation on the entire process. We’ll be going next year for annual exam.😊😊

Very scammy. Was with them for a few years but always left feeling ripped off. Add on things like used car salesmen saying it will be covered by insurance then act like its no big deal when it isnt. The 2 highest medical bills Ive ever had were from this place and they were just routine visits. Moving on to more trustworthy eyecare provider.

By far the best experience Ive had at an eye care place and the doctor is friendly and very careful with eyes.Ive had keratoconus for 11 years in both eyes and have seen many doctors but none like him,he genuinely wants to help people get there life back.Ive been wearing hard contacts for years and also dealing with pain/discomfort to the point I didnt have a life.Now i am 20/20 and have my life back thanks to him and his staff was great very friendly but most importantly seem to enjoy what they do.This is also the first time Ive reviewed any doctor so that should tell you guys how satisfied and happy I am so grateful as well.So dont have doubts hes a master of his craft and know exactly what hes doing,if you want your life back go see him.ps.I promise you wont be disappointed☺
Hi All and Dr. Dunoff,Thank you for giving me back my eyesight! If it wasnt for Dr. Dunoff and his staff, I wouldnt have my eyesight back again. Dr. Dunoff sent me to get caract surgery and now I can see again and all I need is reading glasses. I just got my new reading glasses and now everything is perfect in all the beauty I have missed seeing for a long time. 2022-07-19The staff was courteous, friendly and professional. My experience on July 18, 2022 was delightful and refreshing. I was impressed by the level of service and attention given to me on this my first visit. Dr schechter is patient as he answers all my questions. He is detailed and explains everything to make me understand what he’s doing. I would definitely recommend Fox Chase Family Eye Care.

2022-07-13I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. When I tried to make an appointment, they ended up giving me false information about my insurance and what would be covered for a visit. Even my insurance broker told me that what they said made no sense and that it seemed like they just wanted to get additional money from me. I dont know if they did not want me as a client or simply did not know what they were talking about, but I went elsewhere and had no issues.

2022-08-04This is rare. Dr. Schechter took his time almost 1.5 hour to exam my eyes. Usually doctor won’t spend more than 25-30 min with their patient. Doctor is very knowledgeable, professional and his staff are very friendly.

2021-12-30What a wonderful group of people running this office! So well run and the visit was so well choreographed. Wonderful, friendly people who put us at ease and we’re incredibly friendly. No downtime. Absolutely loved Dr. Schechter. Felt I was in great hands. I feel like this was the best exam I’ve had and his explanations were clear and he wanted to make sure I had no questions when he was done. Thank you!

2022-02-15Super friendly staff, (a little heavy on the room deodorizer scents but I am also hyper sensitive to smells so take that with a grain of salt.) Very comfortable waiting areas although I really didnt have to wait at all AND I learned about recycling contact lenses! I love an environmentally conscious business.

2021-11-02I honestly didn’t know I could have a great eye exam experience until coming here!! My spouse and I wanted to find a new place after serious frustrations with our last place and Fox Chase Family Eye Care has left me so happy.Erin immediately made us feel very welcomed and comfortable and clearly had her work process locked down. Everything moved so smoothly and she checked everything ahead of time for me, which made me less anxious about missing important items or details.Beth then moved things along for me and was so friendly. She kept the experience relaxed and as fun as it could be.Dr. Schechter didn’t make me feel judged at all for struggling with the eye exam because of my poor eyesight. Despite my high prescription, he actually made me feel confident when I did succeed.I ended with seeing Heather speaking with my partner and saw they were chatting on very well and had figured out their lenses and frames with no problem. We were in and out, and honestly some of the extra time was spent just speaking with these lovely people!I never write reviews, but felt absolutely compelled to because of how nice this was!

2021-11-16I. Think the staff and the Doctor were great..I walked in there scared and walked out feeling great. You honestly feel like you know them forever. They answer all your questions and no question is too much to answer. So if your looking for a good eye Doctor and a good staff it is definitely Fox Chase Family Care
