GORGEOUS!!!!!! We were staying at a subpar hotel and luckily we made a wonderful decision to switch.I don’t know where to start.I grew up watching this gorgeous building over the years. It was a bit of a gift getting to stay there finally.IT WAS INSANELY SPACIOUS!!!!! Everything was so top of the line! The juice is worth the squeeze, spend the money, it’s worth it. I am positive that I have never slept better in my life. I am missing many pictures (such as the master bath, steam shower/Jacuzzi tub).
First, there some kind of bicycle event, ALL roads were closed to their parking, called a million times and no one at the front desk was remotely helpful. We had to park far away and pay $30 that they didnt offer to pay cause they didnt get ANY access to their parking. Was just like oh well to us at the front desk. Our room is tiny as hell, our neighbors are SCREAMING and completely loud. Over all this hotel is the worst. Dont stay here. Even if you have to drive 10 minutes go somewhere else. They are rude, unprofessional, and over all a terrible hotel.
Positive: Pool Negative: Location is ok during the day butafter dark the 2nightclubs with many police stationed outside tells the story. Loud motorcycles up n down road dogs barking in growling at 2am owner standing on the sidewalk. We were on 4th floor could here everything
Positive: Check in lady was very helpful. Location of hotel in center of town is great. Room and bathroom 1002 were spacious and comfortable. Bed was excellent Negative: Breakfast room was not particularly clean or welcoming. Choice of food was sparse at 8:30 am. No staff to assist
Very clean and spacious rooms. More like an apartment which I like. I was surprised. The price was reasonable for what you get. The beds are comfortable and good shower with good pressure. Their is a pool and full gym. I did try room service. The ladies at front desk were very nice as well. I would definitely stay again if I return to the area. (Check out stoke near by excellent food and drinks!) walking distance.
This hotel was very nice. The room was smaller than I had anticipated. It had larger furniture than a room that size should have had. It was clean an otherwise comfortable. The staff members were very polite, very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
This place completely failed all of the basic things you would want in a hotel.TLDR, horrible customer service interaction, trash left in room, hot water is intermittent, lucky to get a parking spot, same price for a room or suite, keys were de-magnetized easily. When we first arrived, I pulled up so my wife could go get us checked in. When she returned to the car, she was in tears and shaking. We sat in the car for several minutes so she could calm down and tell me how mean the lady behind the counter was. She couldnt even get out all of the details, and I will not make her relive it to include in this review. Fortunately we did not run in to her again, and the other staff was pleasant enough. The lot for the hotel has designated spaces for condo owners or hotel guests. The hotel parking is not adequate. On one of the two nights, we took the last available space. On another occasion, someone in front of us at the front desk was asking where she was supposed to park as there were no spots left. There was no good answer. We had adjoining rooms with my brother-in-law. When we checked in to our room, it seemed on the smallish side for a hotel room, but still fairly standard. When we opened up the doors to the adjoining room, it had a full kitchen, living room and dining area, with no advertised difference in the rooms, and for virtually the same price.Other complaints: When trying to take a shower, the hot water would come on for about 5 seconds, separated by about a minute of ice cold water. There were condom wrappers left in the trash cans. All four keys for both rooms got de-magnetized in two day stay, kept in different places.
Positive: Large two room suite with two queen beds. Newly renovated. Very nice bath with glass walk in shower. Staff helpful. Negative: One ice maker for entire hotel that was not working. No attempt to bring in bagged ice for guests. The room (on mezzanine level) had a stair access and no directional signing on the entry floor. Most everything in Easton is closed on Monday and some Tues
Positive: The large size of the room surprised us. Clean room and hotel. Great having laundry available. Breakfast was available with many choices. Staff friendly and helpful Negative: Room doesnt get clean everyday, not a big deal but setting trash out in evening out door ok but not replacement trash bag. All not a big deal for how great the hotel was
Positive: It is a beautiful hotel/condo building from the 1920¿. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with water views for under --- a night. I would recommend anyone to book at this hotel. It¿s down the block from many shops and restaurants. Excellent. Negative: It was perfect.
Overall stay wasnt bad. Bathroom was nice. However the refrigerator and microwave smelled horrible like something was spoiled. Neither was cleaned properly. Smelled up the room upon opening. Staff was kind and courteous. Undecided if Id return if ever in the area again.
This place is terrible. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Service was terrible. Staff was very rude. I was there for my brothers wedding and my parents booked a suite for two nights and after the first night they told my parents they had to move to a different room which was a shoe box compared to what they originally paid for. Also my brother reserved a block of rooms for all of the wedding party and when I called to book my room they told me that they gave my room to another guest. Also all of the groomsmen had to sleep on cots in a room because they didnt reserve rooms for everybody. The day after the wedding I had no hot water to even take a shower. This place is terrible.
I am rating this hotel only 1 star due to the fact that they gave up our original hotel room, then on top of that, my boyfriends parents got kicked out of their room because it’s “policy” that they can move peoples rooms around… all because they double booked another guest to be in the same room for the same day. They went from having a flat suite, to moving them to a small room. Ridiculous. I also heard someone else in the hotel lobby asking the receptionist for a managers information because they are so upset. So if that doesn’t tell you something… last but not least, there was no hot water this morning to take a shower. Terrible. Don’t book anything here.
0 stars. I booked 2 nights at this hotel. Although an hour away from home, after undergoing 4 foot surgeries in a short time frame, this was me and my 5 year old sons little vacation getaway with 2 days of activities planned. I requested a balcony over everything. They gave me two nights on the 7th floor with a balcony and a price of 120$ a night. We were so excited! They called back the next day and apologized, explaining that they were looking at the wrong week when booking and that the 2nd night was already booked for a wedding party. I asked about another room for the 2nd night, having already made plans in the town with my son. They said they only had the Presidential suite available on the 10th floor ,but it was $400 for the night. She assured me it was the best room in the hotel.I asked if I can at least have it at the rate I was originally quoted for OR, better yet.. if they could just switch the wedding group to the quoted best room in the hotel. (Im also handicapped given my recent surgeries-so the room move wouldve been a hassle as well)They said I can speak to a manager about the price but they couldnt do it themselves. Having myself, who worked as a hotel agent prior, I thought it absolutely could be fixed, since it was 100% their mistake and pretty embarrassing on their behalf. Fast forward-We checked into our room the first night on the 7th floor. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! the balcony view was amazing, I must say. Yes it was a bit dirty in the rooms, but were humbled individuals. I called/walked to the desk multiple times during the stay to try to speak to the supervisor..who was never around. Never called me back, emailed back etc. The next night came and we moved to the Presidential suite. ($400 room) It was filthy, the balcony was less than a quarter size than the last room that was close to $300 cheaper. The moment we got in,I had my son pose on the balcony for a picture, but he couldnt stand still for 5 seconds because there were wasps EVERYWHERE swarming him. The small balcony was covered in wasp hives. I called down to the desk immediantly , they didnt have matintence on board but the girl from the desk came and sprayed some of the nests. She saw how terrible it was clearly...and I politely asked her how is this OK? Any of this situation ? She told me that her supervisors took off $400 of my total bill already. I replied with such relief, because I had yet to hear from anyone. She left our room and needless to say, the bees were back in 6 minutes... we obviously didnt step foot on the balcony the rest of the stay. At check out,the next morning, a different agent said there was no such discount on the reservation that I was informed of. I was so confused and a bit frustrated and said to please not charge my card until I speak to someone. There was no supervisor around the 2.5 days we were there. ?? 2 weeks later they charged my card after i called multiple times and still never was in touch with any manager. I disputed this charge with my credit card company and it was denied because they quoted guest had requested to be moved to the best room in the hotel the second night. I asked about recorded phone calls etc, they laughed at me. I never write reviews or complaints but THIS was a horrible experience. Totally unprofessional. Its a shame because it is a nice hotel but clearly not ran by someone in favor of the guests experience. Never heard from anyone after so many attempts. Save your money and time and go to the holiday Inn folks.
My family and I recently stayed at the hotel in a beautiful renovated room that had a fireplace for one night only in August 2021 with departure the next day. Upon walking into our room at 6:00 PM after a day at The Crayola Experience, our room was hot and humid. The temperature thermostat said it was set at 64 degrees; however, it was not. I went and told the front desk and the young girl came into our room to check. She said, Your hot? I think its cold. Or maybe thats me. She checked and reset it. After that, we went to dinner. When we returned to our room, it was still hot, if not hotter. And the AC unit was still blowing out tepid air. My husband then went back to the front desk and spoke with the same girl again. She told him, If I give you another room, they will all have the same issue. I have stayed in older hotels that were renovated, but they seem to be fine, even in the hottest states. She had mentioned earlier, she could provide a fan to keep us cool. So, we took the fan since I have small children, but it barely made a difference. It blew the hot air around the room and was like a plane propeller all night long. Needless to say, it made sleeping difficult and uncomfortable. Also, the room has serious climate control issues. Not the least of which is that the window isnt fully closed. Considering what we paid for the room with tax included for one night ($194.90), personally; I could not recommend this hotel for a stay in Easton. It mard our otherwise enjoyable family experience in Easton, PA. I also emailed the manager who never responded. I assume after reading more reviews on Google; they are use to this complaint and obviously since they dont own the hotel, could care less. Very unfortunate and unprofessional.
We booked this hotel for 2 nights because my husband and I were getting married in Easton and wanted to be near our venue. We also had some of the bridal party staying there with us. Upon check in we were notified that there was gonna be a $150-300 deposit charge depending on the card you were paying with. I was not happy about that but decided to not stress over it. I found that the people working the desk were rude and my brothers room wasn’t even ready at their checkin time. What upset me the most was: After the wedding, the few people from our bridal party who were staying at the hotel, decided to wait for us outside our suite. Staff came up and scolded them for talking in the hallway because it was after 11pm and they have quite hours after 11. It’s not like they were having a loud party or anything. These rules were not stated on their website or during booking. If I had known these few details upon booking I would have choosen another hotel. Ohhh And if they have to tell you more than once that you’re too loud, they will fine you $$$. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
This was my second time saying at this hotel. Unfortunately, it has taken a turn for the worst. I wanted to support a local hotel, rather than the newer hotels in the area. The location is the biggest value-add this hotel has going for them, and the room size, and designs are good. The rooms could use better housekeeping, the towels were covered in hair and/or stains, and the bed sheets were also stained. The couch also had some white stains. The bed was very squeaky, and uncomfortable. Again, I had the full intention to support a local hotel, but next time I go skiing, I will stay at the new national chain hotels close by.
The staff was great, but other than that blah. The beds were TERRIBLE. Strange smell in the room. We got our room moved and the bed was still awful. Dirt on the floors. Stains on the pillows. They also held 300 for a security deposit? Which was fine until I saw the quality of my stay?? It’s also been two days and they still haven’t charged me for the actual room. And I got the security deposit back?? Idk. Weird place.
This hotel was perfect for my family of 5 ( my husband, myself, 5 yr, 3 yr, and 10 month old ) when going to visit the Crayola Factory. We had the one bedroom suite which was absolutely amazing! A full kitchen(Full fridge, microwave, oven) which is a necessity with the kids, pull out sofa and a separate bedroom. Everything was very clean and staff was helpful with anything we needed. The indoor pool was perfect for the kids as well. If going to visit Crayola you can’t beat the location of this hotel, it is about a 5 minute walk. The only downside was that apparently the walls of the hotel are paper thin and you can hear everything. This did not effect us but apparently someone else complained that our kids were too loud...at 6:00 pm. My kids were not screaming or being exceptionally loud, but the room did have a bit of an echo to it and I can see how you would hear them from the hallway at the room next door (they were also adjoined by a door). They do have quiet hours beginning at 11:00 pm but we were long sleeping by then. Other then that everything was perfect, we will be back!
Great location, nice staff and great rooms. I did not really like the fact that the tvs are super old and they only offer standard definition local channels don’t expect it to be like other hotels. If you expect to watch movies on a rainy day with the family you will be disappointed you cant even attach an HDMI cable from your laptop so update long their rooms to 2021 standards should be done. The room was not as clean as I would have liked on this trip but they are normally super clean. Other than not being able to enjoy tv content the place is a great alternative and feels like home.
This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Easton. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel was very nice and everything looked clean. The space we had was very modern and comfortable. The only two issues that I had with this place is that they did not remove dust and spiderwebs that looked like they have been there for a while. The beams looked like someone threw plaster and paint on it. I think they could of done a better job on that. Overall a very nice and affordable hotel and I would recommend it.
Great location, all the employees we encountered were nice but very limited kitchen items for a suite (3 plates, 3 bowls, no baking sheets?) and the AC was pretty much worthless. If you go here when its hot be sure to bring some fans. We were supposed to be in a queen suite but the bed was a full...complimentary breakfast was non-existent...overall not horrible or anything but definitely left alot to be desired...
The room was spacious and luxurious. The environment felt safe and secure at all times . The indoor pool was the exact perfect temperature and the front desk staff named Tiffany was extremely helpful in regards to how to use the cards the elevators and even how and when to deal with pizza deliveries!!!I would love to stay there again soon .The bed was super clean and soft and relaxing and we even had a mini fridge and a coffee maker!!!Id say this is a amazing hotel ...It was in my bucket list to stay there and now I am so glad I did
Came to Easton beginning of February to celebrate my daughters birthday. I booked the crayola package, the gentleman who checked me in was very nice and he even went out of his way to get me two extra tickets that I requested at check in. (Thank you!!) The hotel and the location were beautiful and convenient but the room amenities stated in the description online were false. The fireplace did not work which was a big disappointment and it also stated the suite contained a whirlpool tub which was not anywhere in our room. The shower had mold growing in the corners. The attendant to the breakfast area was extremely overwhelmed and was being rude to guests. Many items were out/eggs were cold and had very limited selections. At checkout the young lady did not even ask how everything was or how our stay was. I also had to request a printout of hotel fees/charges at checkout. No email confirmation at the time of booking and no printout or receipt on the day of checkout. I travel frequently and have been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, I have never been so taken back by some of their staffs attitude and lack of customer service, especially at the price point of the rooms. I wrote to management about these issues and got no response which shows lack of care for business. I wouldn’t stay here again due to some of their rude staff/lack of management.
We stayed in a two-bedroom suite for 3 days. The rooms were not clean. The water temperature in the showers was erratic, you could not get a steady temperature ever. First it would be cold, then you would get burned, and then cold again, without ever turning the knob. On the last night I was looking for an extra blanket in the front closet, when I reached up to pull it down a HYPODERMIC NEEDLE fell from the top shelf down onto the floor, thankfully I moved out the way quick enough that it did not touch me. It was late and since it was our last night, I took a blanket, and used it to push the needle into the corner of the closet and closed to the door. When we told management about it in the morning, they said let us know when we were coming back, they would give us a better rate - no apology, nothing - WE ARE NOT COMING BACK and if you concerned about safety you should not go either.
We ended up here when I was scared to get out of my car at the original hotel we booked and I am very glad that we did! I loved it. All of the regular rooms were booked so we ended up in a suite. Breakfast was good for hotel breakfast. Coffee was better there then at a lot of the places I have stayed. I wish it had been a bit cleaner but it was much cleaner then some of the other places I have stayed. Numerous locations to visit within walking distance. When you get in the elevator in the am and it smells like cleaning supplies that is a good sign. All in all it was a good stay.
Stayed here with our children, and it was beyond perfect. It was in walking distance to everything. The rooms were gorgeous, very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was amazing and fixed a small problem quickly and very professionally, thank you for a great stay. We will be back!
BED BUGS!!!Hi, we stayed at the Grand Eastonian hotel and suites on Aug. 25-26 on the 8th floor. Our overall experience was very nice. For the first time ever we did not check our room for bed bugs, and we got bitten up!Being that we spent much of our day outside before we got to the hotel, later when I felt itchy, I didn’t think much of it.Only a few days latter did i realize that all of us had been bitten with all the correct bed bug symptoms. Also I do recall seeing a few tiny blood stains on the sheets but again didn’t think anything of it at the time.I called the hotel to report the bed bugs. They said the manager was not in and would call me back. It’s been a week and I have not gotten any call back from the hotel.
We stayed here for our friends wedding and it was great!! Old building with lots of history. New floors in the room are nice, bed is comfortable. We had excellent customer service. We had a rough night of travel and they were so nice to us and helped us get into our room early. Wonderful staff!! Walking distance to lots of great places, restaurants, bars, farmers market, etc.
The hotel is close to local shopping. It is clean and nicely decorated. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable but we were unable to adjust the thermostat in the room so we were cold. We got in late and we were too tired to call the front desk to ask for help with adjusting the thermostat. Overall I like this hotel very much and plan to stay there whenever I m in Easton.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Place has character, so the rooms are not your standard chain style, which I find charming. Great bathroom, nice view and an extra perk is the Cafe downstairs with killer coffee and breakfast/ lunch options if you care for something other than the standard free Continental they offer. The walls were a bit this, and though I was not disturbed I can see how a light sleeper and a noisy neighbor might not be the best combo. All in all a great choice and lovely location with lots to see on foot and view of the river.
Check in was smooth and even though there was loud room construction going on we were assured it would stop well before quiet hours and it did. Room was clean, well made, a bit small, but the bathroom was huge. The pool was nice as was the fitness center, just wish there were more patio tables around the pool. Parking was a bit of a guessing game at first. But once you check in or call they direct you to the small private lot they have next door. The continental breakfast was nice. Better than most I would say, as its taken care of by the cafe in the lobby- actual eggs and such.
Pro, the it’s located 2 blocks from the center and crayons factory. I booked the queen suite. The room was big no huge. The kitchen was clean. The room is well designed. There is wow factor for room. You will get a bouquet feel when walk in. The lobby is also beautiful.Cons. The access to shower is 24 inches. We found trash in couch. The key cards do not work great. No A/C in the hallway. The hallways were 100+ degrees. 30 % of hotels are condo’s. The people who live here, are not friendly. What I could get it’s the owners are not happy with hotel. The owners were not mean but unfriendly. I had to wait 10 mins for the front desk person to appear to check in. I was the only one lobby for the 10 mins.
Stayed here 3 nights while working. Right away noticed the AC didnt work, told the front desk and they did attempt to fix it. After they were done it worked for 2 hours and quit again. Told the gal at the front desk I probably deserved a little break on the room rate and was rudely told Theres nothing I can do about it. Very poor customer service and they have a take it or leave it attitude. They only get 2 stars because the rooms are unique and they are right downtown. Anywhere else I dont think theyd make it.
Was in town for a show at the State Theater and decided to stay overnight. This was the only hotel downtown, so I wasnt quite sure what I was going to get for something built in 1925. Booked through Hotels.com and check-in was a breeze. Stayed on the fifth floor, and there were only 7 rooms on that floor. The room was bigger than most apartments. It has a full size kitchen, dining area, living room with TV, bathroom with shower, and bedroom. All of the appliances and furnishings were recently updated. The flooring was new. The ceilings were exposed concrete that was painting with duct work. It sounds a little strange, but it worked in the space. Bed was comfortable and there was not much noise from the other rooms or hallway. They have a small breakfast area with coffee and continental breakfast available in the morning. Within walking distance to most pubs, restaurants, and attractions in downtown Easton.
Loved it. Though the service was a little low key, they are knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. The rooms were phenomenal and exceeded or expectations. It was only after checking in that I learned the hotels history. Only made me love it more. Would consider visiting again just to stay.
Id give it a zero if I could. Booked a room and found out someone close to me has Covid. Attempted to cancel the reservation and was told by the manager that they would not refund because I should know better than to travel right now ?!?!?!? Really? Youre a hotel, how do you say that to someone? Why are you even open? So, now, everyone will know that the hotel cares only about itself, its money and doesnt really care if you have a good customer experience. Another money hungry entity taking advantage of people during these ridiculous times were living in...good luck all!
Stayed in a suite that initially seemed impressive because of its size: 2 beds and a futon pull out. As soon as we arrived, we noticed there was a mysterious brown stain on one of the towels in the bathroom. Then we noticed that the top half of the bathroom window was completely fallen off. Then we found a smoked cigar, used towel, and bottle cap inside the futon. I asked for a new blanket and sheets, but they had run out of blankets that night? I wasnt going to sleep on the dirty blanket, especially given the current pandemic, so I slept curled up on the small couch. We only stayed for one night and hoped that was the end of the experience, but the next day, 3 people who had shared a bed received rashes and bites all over their bodies. (bed bugs?) Would not recommend. Be careful!
The hotel is very nice but the room was quite small. The desk was close to the bed I couldnt even pull the chair out all the way to sit at it. The rooms could use some soundproofing as well. You hear EVERYTHING through the vents and the service at the front desk could stand a lesson in manners. If I didnt ask for the pass code for the parking lot I wouldnt have even known it because she didnt bother to explain anything. In the morning they rang my room at 11:45 asking if I was checking out. Yes, I am. At 12. Because thats when check out is. I dont need to be rushed, I paid to stay like everyone else. The only reason theyre even getting 3 stars was because the room was extremely clean and the bathroom was love.
Nice, large (huge!) apartment style accommodations. Cute in-town location. Very charming. Nice than I expected, all around. We were here on a college visit for only one night but we may come back for a long weekend. Easton is a nice surprise! Artsy and welcoming. Great restaurants. Still off the beaten path but with all the quality expected of a tourist spot. I think it’ll be more crowded every year, so go now!
This is an old building remodeled. Use to be private condos. Very nice rooms, some rooms bigger than others. They offer a free breakfast that was very limited on choices - pancakes, cold cereal, apples, bananas, coffee and orange drink. Staff was informative with finding restaurants and with history of building. Oh, free parking too.
This place looks nice, but it is an absolute dump. Over priced! Paid $169 for a room and the AC did not work. The whirlpool tub did not work. We had an extremely difficult time getting our money back when we decided to leave after only 2 hours. Theres nobody on site to fix anything and no manager after 5 PM. Do not stay unless you like old rundown rooms, with painted exposed, cement ceilings, and an incompetent staff.
I feel mixed about this hotel. I loved the historic look and feel, the location was perfect for the weekend away from long island.. That being said, booked the room with intentions of letting the kids swim after the crayola experiance. Pool closed, no food or water in the vending machines, out on the town for dinner...not 1 restuarant in town had any seating for dinner, finally ending up at The bayou, which was the highlight of the night. The hotel itself was OK
Ive stayed here twice with my girlfriend for our little getaways, both times have been utterly perfect. The staff are always very helpful and polite at any hour of the day or night, which is great when I lock myself out at 4am. Rooms are beautiful and very spacious. With how much Ive enjoyed my stays coupled with how the staff has treated us, theyve earned my business for life.
The rooms are unexpectedly large. Our suite had a full kitchen (stocked with cups, plates, pots, pants, cooking utensils, etc), a full dining table, study desk, 2 couches, TV, spacious bedroom, closets, storage spaces, and a decent sized bathroom area. It was clean for the most part, but I found some suspicious stains on the couch (one looked like chocolate?) and there was an old contact lens on the floor in the bathroom. We didnt use any other amenities other than the breakfast which was kind of basic. They also offer free, uncovered parking which was nice. You have to swipe your room key to get access into the building after 7pm and several times the key card did not work, so youre stuck outside in the cold fidgeting with the thing, trying to buzz the front desk, and waiting around until someone from the front comes to open the door for you. Overall it was fine, and situated within walking distance to all the main restaurants and bars. Wed stay here again if visiting Easton.
For the cost of the room we stayed in, we were very disappointed with this hotel. The bathroom was nice, admittedly, but the water wasnt nearly warm enough for the bath or the shower (we thoroughly followed directions for the tub). The shower dripped all night, and the air conditioner made a strange, loud humming-- the noises made it impossible to sleep well. Plus, the sheets were scratchy and the pillows were so uncomfortable. We thought breakfast would make up for a night spent tossing and turning, but it was mediocre. The only warm food was pancakes made from a machine. If ever we were in the area again, we would stay at a different hotel. The staff was nice, but not nice enough to come back when you take everything else into consideration.
Beautiful place. I stayed there the night before and night of my wedding. We were upgraded to room 301, and it was so gorgeous i cant even explain! There was so much room, we decided to have our rehersal dinner there, everyone fit perfectly! When my bridesmaid got there a bit early, all i had to do was call and they were able to give her a key! The only down side was that it took a long time for us to get extra towels, and no one came to clean the room- I could live with that!
Stayed here a few times in past 2 years and was very good, cool building. This stay was weird. Arrived to a room with all dresser and bathroom drawers pulled wide open, drapes pulled up resting on window sill, fridge pulled out from wall and TV blaring. The walls are paper thin as our neighbors yelled in their conversation, had yelling, screaming and crying kids, all sounded like they were in our unit. We informed front desk of all this when we got there as well as at checkout. Their response was, sorry about that, but be sure to give us another chance. Thats it. What!? For $200?Wont ever stay here again and dont reccomend this place. Nearby Holiday Inn is quiet, modern and clean, and will stay there next time.
We reserved a queen suite for a one night stay. It was spacious and very clean. We did not take advantage of any amenities during our stay. We did need some toiletries which the front counter happily procured for us for no additional cost. Thoroughly pleased with our stay. Worth the cost.
Very nice looking hotel and friendly staff but those were about the only positives. Acoustically its terrible. If people next to you speak at a normal level youll hear all of it. If someone two rooms down or above/below you coughs loud, youll hear it. Heater worked alright, but needed to be set at 76 to feel like 68. Hot water ran out suddenly 60 seconds into my shower. Waited five minutes and was able to get a quick 2 minute shower in before it went cold again. I travel for work and havent ever complained about a hotel until now. I walked by the free breakfast just to get out of there. If youre a hipster and/or architect youll probably love this place, or at least claim to. But if you want a quiet place to sleep and a hot shower in the morning, youre better off staying elsewhere.
The rooms were very nice. Large suites that feel like apartments. Nice location in town. Only a few blocks away from restaurants and bars. Was there for a wedding and they were very accommodating. Lack of food option at the hotel itself. And the continental breakfast was a joke.
I am surprised no one else has mentioned this. I stayed there a few years ago for my wedding anniversary in February. The heat was not adequate and when I complained they said they did not control the heat but an outside source did. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was top notch, but I couldnt get any sleep with all the GHOSTS in my room. Im not joking. This hotel is definitely haunted. There were shadow figures, I felt like I was being watched all the time, orbs all over the room, very large ones. Its a nice hotel but that was a big turn off for me. I didnt get any sleep the whole time there. When I complained about it, I was looked at like I was crazy but no one even offered to move me to another room and it was off season so there were not many guests.
The hotel itself is nice & the room was comfortable. But there is no one to help you with your bags & when I asked for a few extra mins on check out, I was denied. Which BTW is the is the 1st hotel EVER to not extend the checkout by 30 mins. And I travel all the time. I explained I had a lot to take to my car which was in the farthest spot from the hotel with a young child. The spots for loading were taken. So my kid & I carried everything to the car & I had to put makeup on in my car! Also, the lady stocking the breakfast room had an attitude. Not fun to wake up to in the morning. But if you are looking for a historic hotel without a lot of friendly faces this is your place.
Called twice to see if they would accommodate my wife during the day as she works night shift at the local hospital and has to work tonight and tomorrow and will be unable to drive home due to the weather. With the noreaster and the pandemic I thought they would be more helpful to help out first responders but was told they couldnt help at all. Would have been a class act to help out our first responders given all they have done and now on top of the pandemic have to be at work during this weather. My wife would never moan but seeing what her and her colleagues have been through I wanted to write this.
Stayed in a room with 1 king bed. The room was well-furnished, had a spacious bathroom. The interior was very clean and seemed new or recently remodeled. The larger 2-bedroom suites are enormous, with plenty of living space and a kitchen for a longer stay. The staff was friendly and helpful for our 1-night stay, explaining the parking situation well, which was a bit tricky to find when we first arrived. The location is very convenient and walkable to restaurants, parks, and other attractions in downtown Easton. The lobby and common area furnishings lend a grand, historic feel to the hotel. I would recommend it for an overnight stay for visitors to Easton.
Nicely done rehab of a older property. Rooms were a bit awkwardly laid out but is not unexpected given the reuse of the building.Great location in block from the river and convenient to other attractions and restaurants.Continental breakfast left a bit to be desired as did the sheets/blankets on the bed but despite these things would definitely consider staying here again.
I was a little disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. On their website they have photos of a lavish bathroom with a nice, big bathtub. I was really looking forward to this, as I am a big bath person, and it is most of the reason I booked with them. Come to find out, the bathroom was nothing like the photo they had online, and there wasnt even a bathtub, just a shower. Also, the water was brown when we turned it on, from the bathroom sink, kitchen sink, and shower. Another thing that irked me was that they said they had dedicated parking solely for the hotel, but it was full (this was late Tuesday night) and we ended up having to park in a separate parking lot and prayed we wouldnt get a ticket or get towed as there was no other parking nearby. Other than those few setbacks, I would say it was a decent hotel; spacious loft type room with a nice fake fireplace and balcony. But, I dont think it was worth the amount we paid for what we actually received.
Large, clean and historic hotel that doesnt lack the classical historic atmosphere you expect from a place like this. The two and three bedroom suites are perfect for business or luxury traveling, both long and short term. Indoor heated pool, game room, gym and wonderful room service.
I attended an event in The Gold Room and had a lovely time. The staff was helpful and friendly. The facility is nice. The biggest down side to the building is the lack of restrooms near the Gold Room. For those who are disabled, an elevator key is required to access the restrooms.
I stayed here for one night. Grand Eastonian is just one or two buildings away from the Delaware River with a good view of the Northampton St. Bridge. The hotel was pleasant and the receptionist was nice. There Continental breakfast had Rice Chex and Special K cereal, apples, orange juice, hard boiled eggs, and maybe some other items I cant remember. We got a good deal on our room and then we were upgraded to a double suite, which was nice of them.
Nice hotel, charming repurposing of a historical bulding. Most rooms are actually like apartments. When I stayed there I had a kitchen and living room with fireplace. I remember that the breakfast was included and it was good, but quite basic. On the weekend they would take a while to replenish some items.
This place has location going for it as well as amazing large guest rooms, some of which were designed to be two-bedroom, two-bath condominiums. The views in some rooms are remarkable. The ballroom which was not converted to condominiums/hotel rooms is located at the rear of the main lobby and holds up to 200 people in theater setting and upwards of 120 at round tables.
My husband and I had stayed at the Grand Eastonian Suites Hotel in October. It was a very special stay as our daughter was getting married at a venue nearby. The manager and his staff had gone above and beyond to assure our accommodations were perfect for the parents of the bride. The morning of the wedding the bride and bridesmaids were with us in that very important preparation before the ceremony. Everything went perfectly as planned. Staying at the Grand Eastonian with the staff attentive to our needs I can honestly say I felt I was at the Four Seasons. I do not say this lightly as I have very high expectations. My hat is off to the staff at the Grand Eastonian for all they did to make it the perfect stay. Thank you.
Worst hotel experience of my life. I have traveled the globe and military, Philippino, accommodations without AC, were more pleasant. Previous tenants complained about the ceilings: it’s historic, it’s remodeled, it’s beautiful considering the hard work it took to pour 100 years ago. Now the cons: Our 1st room had a water leak from above, so we had to move. The previous reviews were right about no hot water, or scalding water, there is nothing in between. WiFi doesn’t work, also seen in previous reviews. If you would like more than one washcloth on a week stay, you must allow room service in while you’re away or you practically have to beg for one at the front counter. (I’m sorry I don’t want random people in my room when I’m packed for a wedding, for a week, with a ton of personal/precious items.) Once, front desk was helpful and we got them, no issues. Parking is impossible at night. There are very few spots for the whole hotel, so get in early or you’re walking. I don’t think walking is really a con, but if you have a disability, or older guest, this can really ruin a trip. Tonight was really a blast: our new “neighbor” was screaming, banging on our door, smashing things in the hall after ten pm. When we opened the door to see what was going on, a woman slammed the door in my husbands face. He put his hand up to protect himself and is now bleeding. He only asked if everything was ok and to be safe and keep the door locked. It sounded like someone was being murdered. (This was the double door separating our rooms.) Their room was full of a burnt smell (makes us real comfortable) and there was water everywhere. The front desk did NOTHING when we called. This continued and we called again, asking what we are supposed to do. They asked us to pack and move. We have been here a week. Never again. 11pm. Screaming is still ongoing, no sleep in sight. I will be disputing this with my CC company. Did I say never again?
I absolutely loved this space. We had the suite with the kitchen and living room and the industrial exposed ceilings and columns... right up my alley. Very comfortable and the location is walkable and I just love Easton PA. Theres a free continental breakfast and its very good. Love the pancakes
I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The heat in my room was unbearable. They told me that my room had not been updated and that is the way the heat stayedJungle heat all night. It was awful. No ice of vending machines on any of the floors. You had to go to the basement for ice or a soda. The room was very small and quite old and depressing. There was so much more that I could state but I will not go on.Suffice it say, I would never stay at this hotel ever again.
Booked a room through Expedia and there was an option to pay immediately or pay at hotel. I was going to pay at hotel. When I checked my booking 2 days before leaving it has been cancelled. The hotel overbooked themselves and cancelled my room with no email or phone call. Expedia was a great help. They too couldn’t believe it had been cancelled and with no notice to me. If I had prepaid they could not have done this but I didn’t know that. It’s horrible practice and they deserve less than one star. Expedia got me into the Hampton and covered the extra money so it came out the same. 5 stars to Expedia-0 stars Eastonian Hotel. Your title of Grand is not deserved.
First time visiting the beautiful state of Pennsylvania, and I had the great pleasure of staying at the Grand Eastonian, what a nice place with excellent customer service, the rooms were nice, I mean all we did was sleep so it didnt much matter but the Customer Service was excellent and in this day and age that means everything to me! Thanks again for a wonderful experience I will be backSteve Brown from Utah
My family members and some unsatisfying incidents occur, during their wedding night. After emailing the General Manager and explaining the issue, upon further review he stepped up and made amends on the issue, The experience cannot be erased, but the remedy will help the cure. So the take away is if something is wrong, make sure you tell the staff about the incident, and if you cannot get satisfaction, take it to the next lever up the chain of command. Be reasonable in your requests.Thank you for rectifying this situation.
I stayed because I really didnt have a closer option if not honestly I wouldnt have stayed..... The front desk receptionist must have thought I wanted a free room..... I ask if a room was available, she told me that there was one said the price and said it was available if I was able to get it...... I think they need ethic training!
The hotel is ok but if you come here for work forget, this hotel has the worst WiFi service I ever had used. The manager is aware of the situation but unfortunately they can solve the problem. They were a lot of customer complaining on the front desk about the same issue.I have to rate it 1 because this stay is for business.
This hotel is a Hidden Gem I absolutely love how its a refurbished Warehouse so you get the old but you also get the modifications of the new the staff was amazing anything we needed they were able to help out they even handled our special request of being across from friends that we were with
Not what I expected at all, not a place I normally stay at for work, no bar no restaurant or even micro wave food. Only vending machines. Mostly condos, people that live here. Dont want to walk because I got here late and dont know where I am. And Im starving lol oh quite night

2022-07-10I was traveling alone to TN from MA. I got two flat tires and needed a hotel. I found this hotel and I’m so happy I did! I felt so safe being alone! They have so much to offer. I went downstairs to get snack and the woman at the desk was super friendly and told me about the pool they had there. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend!!

2022-05-23Would not stay here again.TLDR:Couldn’t adjust AC in room (a panel is bolted to the wall and fan settings couldn’t be adjusted) fridge was not cold enough to keep food at proper cold temperature (no temperature settings were visible), shower hot water would stop working every few minutes and would turn ice cold, went to talk to front desk and someone was complaining of black mold in their room. Not nearly enough outlets, needed to unplug bedside lamp for outlet nearby.Couple, looking for a nice hotel during travels. Booked online. Arrived after hours, around 9pm. Got buzzed into hotel, for safety. The front desk was on the phone with a customer needing to cancel a room, so I stood waiting to be helped. She didn’t even look at me to greet me or acknowledge I was there. After she started helping me, she was yelling past me to another customer sitting at a table. Was strange. Online request for a quiet room, she politely switched my room, which she initially put me on a floor with dogs. While waiting to get my room key, a guest came down to complain about dogs on her floor. We got to the room, tried to adjust the AC as it was not cool enough for our liking. Called front desk for help, maintenance came up to evaluate, but didn’t understand we wanted it colder. Kept telling us he could bring a heater. Front desk eventually brought up a fan. Ordered food, went to put leftovers in fridge, which was barely cold. No controls to adjust it. Tried to shower, small wait time for hot water to warm up. Started shower, twice the hot water completely stopped and water turned ice cold. Husband had the same issue, freezing water in the middle of shower. But the tub hot water was fine and hot immediately.Complimentary Continental breakfast: coffee, teas, hot chocolate. Egg patties, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, breads, granola bars, packaged mini muffins, milk, juice, yogurt.Comfortable bed. Blackout curtains. Updated decor.

2022-05-09This hotel offers so much! The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is phenomenal. Everything you need is within walking distance. It rained all weekend while we were visiting so we stayed in a lot and got to experience the hotel, amenities and great staff. The pool was warm the gym was clean, this historic hotel is fully renovated with so much to offer. All the boutiques and stores within the ground level of the building had great tenants and everyone was so very helpful! The only downside to our stay was it rained all weekend. This historic property in downtown Easton was treat! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the city! We usually stay at a Hilton or something similar. Eastonian had so much more to offer! We will definitely be visiting here again!!

2022-04-24My family really enjoyed our stay here! We booked a classic two queen room for 2 adults and 2 children. Our room was spacious and bigger than I expected. The exposed ceiling gave the room an industrial feel. We all enjoyed the amenities including the heated saltwater pool. Staff was friendly and helpful. I cant say enough good thing and look forward to staying here again next time were in the Easton area.

2022-01-25Driving in, I had trouble finding the parking and the front desk seemed to have some attitude over the phone. The hotel had wood floors which was different... My room was small and the hallways had an interesting layout. It took me a few minutes to find my room! One of my pillows on the bed was stained which wasnt great, but I threw it on the floor since there were several pillows. Despite this the hotel was nice enough and served the purpose for my night at the theater. They even had a little stand by the front desk with essentials where I was able to buy Advil.

2022-06-21Such a disappointing experience. The hotel looked beautiful and had plenty of amenities, but nobody informed me (including the front desk check in, and when I called the hotel to confirm ) that there would be no power for the entire day of Tuesday. I have a baby who takes medicine so I couldn’t risk not having power. We had to cut our vacation a day short. Although the women was very accommodating at the front, we were shortchanged the hot breakfast, the store downstairs , and overall being able to stay in our hotel. I might give it another chance if offered the opportunity but not sure I would book on my own.

2022-03-14Positive: The suite I had the first day was awesome. 2 bedroom/ 2 bath suite . Negative: The 2nd day we downgraded to a smaller suite. Both days we had to deal with the smell of marijuana so strong . The 8th floor stunk so bad . We were moved to the 5th floor& they put the same person in the room adjacent to us and it was coming into our room
