I have been trying to find a good shoe repair for year. And I have found it. This repair wasnt cheap and I was ok with that. After taking the same pair of shoes to two different places only to have them fall apart within the same week, I lost my hope that I would get them fixed. I now once agin have my beloved shoes back. And a shoe repair I can trust.
Steep prices and terrible attitudes from the staff (mostly the older woman). They know they are one of the few shoe repair shops in town, so they can get away with it. Go to Villas a few blocks west, much better value (and better hours).
I took my boots there for a shine, told to come back the next day to get a black shoe polish around the eddes of my sole and top of shoes were not shine gave them back to me the same way I brought them in very disappointed and charge me $20.00 for nothing. Total disappointment.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Been coming here since 2012 when I use to work around the corner. I have only ever used them to get keys made but they are the cheap especially to be in center city area & are an incredibly sweet couple. I would highly recommend.

My dog ate one of my favorite leather high heeled shoes and THEY REPAIRED IT. THEY ARE MIRACLE WORKERS. Best cobblers in the city HANDS DOWN.
This guy is amazing. He can fix anything. I find it very inconvenient to get to shop, but I go back over and over, cause theres no one else can do what he can do. Worth the trip!

I brought in a pair of leather boots to be cleaned. I showed them to the woman at the counter. She said “we don’t do that here” and returned to what she was doing. I left.

2021-11-13They did an unbelievably poor job repairing my Louboutin heels and the zipper and stitching on a pair of boots. There is mismatched paint all over my heels and they did not align the stitching on the boots at all. I am so sad and embarrassed. I could have done a better job at home. I am going to have to take them for repair somewhere else to undo the damage that Gauricela’s has done. Do not take your expensive shoes here.

2021-07-17Id been putting off getting my shoes repaired for awhile, and finally went looking for someplace close. This place is solid- they do good work, they get right to the point. Comparable pricing to places Ive taken shoes to in the past. The new soles on my boots look great. Will continue to take my shoes there.

2021-06-03AMAZING RESULTS! I was a little nervous to drop off my favorite hiking boots because I wasnt sure what to expect. The wonderful people at Guaricelas Shoe Repair not only listened to exactly what I was looking for, but they went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! My hiking boots were totally falling apart when I dropped them off, and when I got them back, they had not only replaced the sole, but they added inserts AND stitched up tears in the seams of the upper boot. I am so so grateful, and definitely recommend giving them your business.

2022-06-07After wearing my boot I have to rewrite my review. He destroyed the boots foundation bending it improperly attaching the new heel. My boot is unwearable I paid $45.00.

2019-05-02This was the first time Ive ever needed a cobbler. I needed to fix a few seams that fell apart on my favorite pair of boots. I searched all of Center City to find a fair price + quick turn around time and this place was the best. Another shop in Center City quoted me $150 and a 2 week turnaround, where I was quoted $30 and a 2 day turnaround at Guaricelas. And they did great work! Highly recommend.

2015-12-28Ive been here twice in the last couple years to replace the soles of my shoes to something completely different. Each case i was asking for something challenging....and something that was not really intended for the shoes i brought in. The cobbler took it in stride and did the work for half what other places charge. In both cases the work was excellent and held up well beyond the life of the shoes. Cool guy.....everything that is great about a small local business

2020-02-02My wingtips were really scuffed with small gouges. I needed them restored and polished for a wedding in three days. They did an outstanding, amazing job in two days, and the shine is still excellent one year later.
