My wife and I moved to the suburbs and I was sad about losing access to local breweries. Having Hampton Beer Outlet in our backyard has been great!

The new management has done a fantastic job. Hampton Beer outlet has become our new favorite beer distributor in Pittsburgh. The selection is great and if you like craft beer, they have just about everything including TONS of local beer.
Best beer distributor ever! Selection is awesome, there’s always something fun going on like giveaways or samplings, the slushees are delicious, and the staff is super nice. Love this place.
This is THEE place for craft beer. Great selection of local stuff as well. My husband and I call it the beer lovers version of a toy store! Huge improvement from what it was a few years ago. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful too. Love this place!
So happy to see what the new management has done to this place. They have a huge selected of craft beer and a lot of local beers as well. Its nice to have a one-stop-shop nearby for my favorite local beers instead of driving around to each of the breweries. Their twitter posts are also a great way to get notified of new beers in stock.

They have a great selection and staff. They always treat their customers as their top priority. They have tastings in store often and raffles for promotional items. Their prices are great too.
This is by far the best beer distributor ever, since its under new management it is newly remodeled and has a large variety of beer, snacks and by far the best popcorn ever. My husband and I make a weekly trip there, will not go anywhere else!
Hampton has some of my all-time faves! I never visited the previous beer store, but this one is undoubtedly better. The brand new selection of local crafts is so fun! Love this place.
This place is just wonderful. All of the employees are helpful and friendly. The place is incredibly clean and to top it all off the beer selection is like none I have ever seen. Definitely my new beer store!
I cant believe how much better this place is under new management. It use to be so depressing. Now its cleaner and better lit and and the staff seems way friendlier. They dont charge extra for cold beer anymore. Love it. Keep it up!
This place does beer. Sure, you can pop in, grab the basics from the cooler and go. But what you should do is comb through hundreds of beers they have stocked up and discover new things or seek out that one hard to find beer you love.Honestly, this place has you covered no matter what kind of beer drinker you are.
The overall score is misleading as it’s an aggregate of the “old” Hampton Beer and a few months of the “new” Hampton Beer. The new management has done a great job of revamping this store with much better selection, friendlier staff, etc, but will have an uphill battle to shake the image of the old management/employees.Give this place a shot if you’re in the area as I was very impressed with the turn around.
Great place and the new managers are amazing. This is the best selection of hard to find beers across the area. The owners have great taste and stocking some very high quality hard to find beers.

Great now that there’s new management. Loved the huge selection and staff was very pleasant and helpful. Ashley recommended some great IPAs for my boyfriend and ciders for me. Will definitely be back soon!

Now under new ownership. They just opened again this week. I agree with most other reviews that it was bad under the old ownership. Made my first trip since the new owners took over today and it is great! Completely remodeled, much better selection, and everything is well marked. I saw some things that are hard to find around here. Prices were on par or less than any other place around here. This is my new go to beer store in Hampton!

All new. Re-opened in 2020. Dont pay attention to any reviews from the 2010s, because this is a completely different store with new ownership. Selection is great, with plenty of seasonal and local selections.

New owners. Huge selection and good prices. If youre looking for something special, theres a good chance they have it. Ive taken my 3 year old in a few times and theyve been great, giving him IC light sunglasses and steelers koozies. I wont go anywhere else

I’m 25 years old and they wouldn’t serve me because the back of my license was faded because of my credit cards rubbing up against it like I’m sure everyone else’s. No other liquor store or beer distributor has ever given me a problem and I left embarrassed for being of legal age to buy beer but being turn down. Will be sure to keep people from going there. Shame on you.

Three weeks prior to our wedding, we ordered 2 kegs of beer. We went in the night before the wedding to pick them up, and the employee stated, Uh...we dont have that. He tried saying that we probably didnt actually order it. We looked through the book where they write up orders, and low and behold, there was our order! He said, Uh...I guess someone forgot to order it. That was it. No apology. No trying to right their wrong. The level of incompetence is astounding. Very poor customer service. We will never go back again! With such late notice, no one in the area had kegs of the beer that we ordered so we had to scramble to find extra coolers and we ended up buying cans from another distributor who actually treated us with respect. Just unreal!
My girlfriend and I were told that our in state licenses wont not swipe in their system. We were confused by this so asked for an explanation and were rudely told that they were not going to argue with us. We are obviously both of age and have purchased from here before without a problem. Very frustrating and unacceptable. Decent prices and an AWESOME selection of beer. Could spend at least 30 minutes checking everything out. Includes a cooler section with all cold beers an extra 50 cents.
No real selection of beers. But if you like Miller lite guess they have that. Cold beer costs more also..
Good selection, reasonable prices even if the prices are frequently missing from the shelves. Cash discount, if you prefer your dollars printed in paper.
Poor selection and if they do have what you are looking for it is hard to find. Its like a warehouse with tall shelves. Not shopper friendly at all.
Very clean, friendly staff and large selection. Have spoken with the owners on a couple occasions and they are very nice and helpful! Staff is always pleasant and helpful as well!

No Fullers ESB or London Pride. No Weyerbacher anything, other than Merry Monks, the only W beer Ive had that I dont like. Was hoping to find North Coast Old Stock Ale; they had Rasputin. To be fair, nobody can stock everything for everybody. Lots of 6-packs and 4-packs that are a good bit more expensive per-bottle than a case, although its nice to be able to buy small quantities of things you havent tried before. Ill go back in a few weeks.
I purchased 2 cases of beer on January 26, 2019. I checked the date on the one case which was far enough in the future. However, I forgot to check the second case and was ticked off to learn when I got it home that the expiration date was January 8, 2019, more than 2 weeks ago. Seriously??? I cant give a higher review to a place that is selling expired beer, WHICH SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE SHELVES!
We went in this evening to buy a case of beer, we asked one of the associates what a case of Corona was (because it was not marked) He quoted us $20 some dollars. We said well take it... Now, saying this the manager was standing right there, heard the conversation. We checked out and the register price was WAY HIGHER. The associate misquoted, the manager over heard.. In all honesty, it should have been given at the quoted price. They were rude when we questioned them, then laughed!! Rude people!! We wont go back. JOE, you get ALL of our business from now on!! HE KNOWS HOW TO TREAT HIS CUSTOMERS!!
A 100% difference from what this store used to be. It is now my go to beer store and not just a place that had thousands of cases of Miller Lite.

2022-07-17Great place, awesome staff, chill and friendly environment. Fantastic selection and frequently have specials, tastings, giveaways, food trucks, and more. It’s the only place my husband and I go, unless they don’t have what we’re specifically looking for which is rare but happens because they’re popular and/or can’t stock every beer in America.. You can tell they greatly appreciate their customers. Highly recommend! Sign up for their email list.

2022-03-09Great selection and great prices - massive Improvement over old owners!4 Stars because I asked if they could get a certain beer - which I was encouraged to do by one of their employees. A week after my initial request I asked of status and was told they hadnt talked to the rep yet - ok no problem. So, asked a couple weeks later and was told they couldnt get it right now, but they couldnt tell me whether the beer was still made by the brewer or if it may be available in the future. So, I had to do the leg work myself, got home the same day - went to the brewers website, saw it was one of their Year Round beers - called the brewery and was told that they did not ship this particular beer to this area.Not sure why Hampton Beer Outlet couldnt do what I did? Why offer to look for a beer if customer ultimately has to figure it out?

2021-04-24The new owners have turned this into the best beer destination in the North Hills. They have an enormous selection of craft beer, including local favorites, as well as all the alternative beverages (seltzers, hard lemonades, etc) you can imagine. Their make-your-own six pack selection is solid, and they always have a great seasonal display.

2021-07-07Outstanding selection of craft and at the right price. I’m here once or twice a week. Skip the c-store beer stop, come here, it’s convenient.I must add that it’s a family friendly atmosphere. Basketball for the kids, craft soda, and the staff is extremely friendly with kids.

2021-05-30Really terrific selection of Pittsburgh craft beer, as well as stuff from around the country, and massively easy to get to off route 8/William Flynn. Stock was mostly pretty fresh too, so theyre keeping stuff turning. The only improvement would be to add a nice section of sours, but I get the sense theyre not popular here yet.
