Positive: Room and hotel was pretty clean, for the most part staff was friendly. Breakfast had a variety to choose from Negative: I was only given the choice to pay $45 for valet parking. I found my own parking and only paid $5.40 to park on street till 10am When on floor we hit the elevator button and as soon as it opened housekeeping got in without any regard for us there
The place was okay... Our room smelled a little bit of smoke and we did find a silver fish in the bathroom. Our bed was comfortable enough, but the sheets kept coming off. It seemed as if they either were not put on well or didnt fit the bed great. There was a fire alarm at 11pm, which was not their fault, but they did a poor job of organizing people, keeping them informed what was going on, and directing them back to their rooms.
The breakfast was great, not too many options, but everything tasted great. The hotel is in a great location, close to many restaurants, and historical attractions. The staff was professional but lacked friendliness.Disliked · On our arrival, the valet employee didnt greet us, he stayed inside. When we approached his desk he just stared at us waiting to see what we want. Felt really hostile for some reason. His colleague redeemed their service tomorrow by being extremely friendly, so probably one rotten apple that is looking to get fired, which is not the hotels fault.
Parking is horrid. The 30 dollar is true, but good luck finding a spot when you return from wherever you go. Went into room and did not check mattress as I was so very tired, what a mistake. Bedbugs!!!!! Yes!!! I was so very upset. Staff was great and moved me to another room. Bed was clean with no bugs, but pull out had a few dead ones and food particles. I packed up and left. Ruined weekend. Ugh.........
Positive: the bed and the pillows were amazing. there was a fire alarm mishap while we were there but the staff was very friendly and everything went over fine. the breakfast was also very good. lots of choices. Negative: parking was a little far away but thats city life.
We arrived on a wed for a conference at another hotel. Our total stay was wed through sun. We picked this hotel because of the prices per night and the amenities. We check in and get settled in our room. Found out there was no poolAs advertised on the website and no fan in the bathroom to get rid of shower steam. There was constant smell of marajauna in our room and the hallways. After two days of tolerating the smell we talked to management and moved rooms. After moving we found every bathroom there are no fans in bathroom. The next day there was a shooting in the lobby of our hotel, some got hurt and glass door window blown out. We came downstairs to the building taped off with yellow police tape and the police blocked off all road ways. By the end of the stay, I was looking over my shoulder, ducking at loud noises and scared to go out.
Great Location right next to Chinatown and the convention center. The room was not very clean. (Open granola bar on the ground). The service and staff were very friendly and ready to help at all times. Overall, if youre just going to visit Philadelphia for a few nights this place is good for location but not for the rooms.
Positive: The room was spacious and comfy and clean Negative: Housekeeping knocked twice hours before checkout seeing if we had left yet. It disturbed our sleep. We were only there one night. The heating/AC unit in the bedroom made a crackling sound that was pretty disturbing
Positive: Staff at the breakfast nook was caring engaged and interested with customer service. Front desk staff was helpful during check in and out. In center city off of Broad street east to find and move around the city. Negative: Toilet was not cleaned throughly, sink was dirty as well. I awoke to sounds of gunshots outside Sunday night at 3am. Private Parking lot down the street was convenient to pay ahead and have a space in the evenings.
I took my family to Philadelphia to watch the Laker game, we stood at the Hampton. Our room had a very strong odor, after further inspection of the room there was a good bag, garbage under the bed area.. There was a red stain by the phone and we had no running hot water, which was extremely annoying. Breakfast was the best part of this place Tamara was so awesome with my kids.. Other than that I would not stay here again.
If I could give this hotel a negative star I would. Upon walking into the hotel it smelled horrible! The room, carpet, and walls were dirty. The box spring and mattress were stained. A smoke alarm went off on the middle of the night, the hotel was evacuated, and the staff did NOTHING to communicate to us what was going on. Luckily it was a false alarm. However NOT ONE staff person apologized or explained to us what was going on. I’ve stayed at many Hampton Inns because of business and personal travel and this one has to be the absolute worse.
Right at the centre of downtown, Close to city hall. Excellent room, friendly front desk staff, good breakfast.Room services are limited. Inform a day in advance, if the room is to be cleaned. The fire alarm and evacuation happened twice, once at 3 am. This exception, experience was good.
Positive: The view, the bed comfort, the quiet, the TV size. Negative: Well, we had a little trouble obtaining things from housekeeping since we only had our room intentionally cleaned twice while there. Our heater was broken most of the 12 days, got sick but did not want to move and relinquish our perfect top floor view.
BEYOND FRUSTRATED WITH THIS HOTEL!!!! We stayed at the Hampton Inn Philly Center for a volleyball tournament at the beginning of March. I had left a pair of brown Cowboy boots in the room and I called SEVERAL TIMES for someone to check on them. I literally called SIX TIMES and not ONE PERSON CALLED ME BACK!!! This is unacceptable! I am beyond mad at this hotel. Even a simple phone call to say hey, we are still looking...sorry for the delay would have been nice; but I got NO RETURN CALLS. We even stayed an extra day and paid for it; but ended up leaving early due to a flight change.....so I dropped over $100 in a hotel room we didnt even stay in and still do not have my boots. We stay at Hamptons all the time; but I will NEVER stay at this one. I just want my boots back and they are probably gone by now since no one bothered to even call me back. Highly disappointed in this staff. never again!!!!!
I stayed here during 2022 spring break. Though my booking was done long back I have to wait 1 and half hour to get a different room.Got locked out once because of key malfunction and missed one important meeting.Room was never cleaned during my stay people leave trash outside their rooms which smells at times. Never going to stay here. Also note breakfast finish by 8:30 and refills on coffee on your luck unless told to someone.Sent an email as per feedback waiting for results.
Stayed starting on June 4th for a business conference. The fire alarm went off 5 times in 3 days before the front desk eventually said that they just turned off the fire alarm system. Not only was it dangerous to not have a fire alarm system active, but it was also dangerous to be in downtown Philadelphia at midnight, 3 AM, etcetera. Especially as there was an active shooting not even an hour away. I had to walk up and down 10 flights of stairs multiple times as no elevators were turned back on during this ordeal which ruined any restful sleep I had hoped to have here. This also involved bringing my luggage down to check out the same 10 flights of stairs without any offer of assistance. When talking to the front desk and management they claimed that there was nothing that they could do. During my stay at this hotel I think I got at most 4 hours of consistent sleep. During check out there was nobody manning the desk, despite there clearly being staff that had to have prepared the breakfast bar. I felt like myself and the rest of the customers were being completely avoided and ignored as to prevent complaints. This has been by far the worst hospitality I have ever experienced at a hotel despite travelling often across the US and other countries. Nobody has made the effort to address this issue, nor console us for the absolutely subpar service for this weekend. I even reached out to customer support and got told I would be contacted back within 3 days which did not occur.
The room was clean, but the hotel was lacking in other areas. The elevators were really slow and always crowded. The carpets everywhere were dated and worn out. The breakfast lacked much selection, lots of things were empty. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no K cups for it. No parking garage but lots of small parking lots nearby.
The staff here is very welcoming and courteous. The hotel and room was very clean and accommodating. Charles, Klee, and Janisha were beyond helpful with all of our needs and were always available to answer all questions. We really appreciate the service we recievers during our stay. Thank you
Staff was friendly and location is very convenient which is where the 3 stars come from. Housekeeping could use some work (it was quite busy while we were there so that does make it a little harder to keep up). Had a washcloth from the prior guest that was left hanging on the shower curtain rod, it was somewhat hidden, but should have been caught. Also had a dead cockroach in the fridge which wasnt plugged in, so decided to avoid using that. Next door room left trash outside the door which ended up there over night and well into the next day. Also had someone knock on the door at 730 in the morning when we had the do not disturb sign out. Might stay here again, due to Honors status but might also look at other Hilton options in the area next time.
The advantage of this hotel is the location and the bedding. It is close to the convention center, the bus terminal and city hall. Beds and bedding provide a comfortable nights sleep. However, the fire alarm that sounded during the day and night during the two nights caused great inconvenience to the guests. As is often the case, the staff did not guide us.
The rooms are clean but I don’t like how the bathroom faucet was so close to the edge of the sink it made it kinda awkward .The bed was hard and I wasn’t aware of the $50 plus tax parking fees until I already booked my stay and arrived . The breakfast in the morning was really great also. The staff at the front desk were ok .
Positive: Room was clean and comfortable. Beds/pillows were soft (I liked, husband didnt - depends on your personal preference.) Included breakfast was good (yay waffles) and convenient. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Negative: Location not the greatest, garbage on street and homeless people wandering around. Parking is a sketchy lot across the street, have to give them your keys and wait for an attendant so you can get out. Room cleaned every 3 days due to COVID restrictions
I booked a king suite room, I asked for a blanket he said no housemaids now, if you want it come downstairs and take it, I paid a lot of money for the service but the service is terrible, and the staff wasn’t cooperating at all. I will not repeat this bad experience again !They deserve less than one star
Room was ok but overall not so clean. Breakfast was a mess and elevators were always dirty with food on the ground. I booked this hotel via Booking.com because it was pet friendly, paid everything in advance but they’ve charged me a $75 pet fee without any warning. There were no disclosures of additional fees when reserving the room via booking.com and even after talking to the manager and showing it LIVE, they haven’t refunded. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place at all.
The hotel has a nice lobby and the hotel staff were extremely friendly and very helpful when needed. When I checked-in there was a line stretching almost outside of the hotel. In addition to this the Elevator was not working and we had to wait until the fire department to came and reset them. We had to walk up 11 flights of stairs in order to get to the room. Once my guest and I finally got into the room the fire alarm started going off. Luckily it was only the fire department resetting the elevators. This morning we discovered markings on one of the pillows(hoping they arent bed bugs), trash behind the bed that appears to be from the precious guest. The food was alright and the ice machines on the 11th and 10th floors did not work so when I needed ice I had to travel to the 9th floor. I just dont feel like the hotel lived up to the price and room deposit paid.
The rooms and location were perfect for my needs but the lack of service made sure that I will never return. Around 11:30 pm, all guests were evacuated due to a fire alarm. After waiting outside for a while, my bf and I walked around and ultimately found a nearby hotel bar to sit and have a drink. We called the hotel several times to see if we could return. We finally were able to return after 1 a.m., but without elevator service. My asthmatic bf had to use his inhaler on the way up to our 9th floor room. The next morning, I had to plead my case for a later checkout than 11 a.m., after 4 hours and 12 min of sleep (thank you fitbit tracker). I understand that emergencies arise, but my short stay was seriously impacted. Other than a slight delayed check-out, Hampton Inn offered me no discount on my over-priced room, which I did not enjoy. Next time I will go to a hotel that cares about its guests more than a few dollars. Also, the breakfast caters to unhealthy people. Thank G-d there was fresh fuir. The ham- egg concoction and carb-loaded options are not for the health conscious.
The stay itself was ok. However, I tried calling about a billing mistake the hotel made. I called several times and was put on hold for more than 30 minutes. When I finally was able to speak with someone the person was extremely rude and not helpful at all. She said the manager was going to call me back and then hang up on me without even taking any information down.
Pretty much what you’d expect out of a Hampton inn, everything is as a usual Hampton would be. The breakfast is pretty scarce though, not a lot of options (make sure you’re double vaccinated if you want it). Hasn’t been the best hotel, I did really like the new employee there though who started yesterday, very blessed to deal with.
Stay away from this hotel. In the first 48 hours of our stay, the fire alarm went off 4 times, including at 1:30am and 3:30am.Worse, I left an expensive laptop in my room and the hotel has been totally unhelpful trying to help us find it. We have spent hours on hold while trying to talk to a manager. We were finally given the GM’s contact info, only to find the voicemail and inbox are both full.
Positive: How clean and spacious the room was Negative: Room wasnt ready at check in. Was told hotel was overbooked night before it would be another 20 mins.No complimentaries was given, ordered drinks @ bar & waited over 40 mins.No one came to get us I had to go check if room was ready. No pressure in shower.
In the hundreds of hotels ive stayed in, ive never had one that would not let you check in not even 1 min before 4pm. Also, nowhere in my reservation was it mentioned a 250 incidental. How can that just be sprung on someone???? And when i asked the guy at the desk what if someone doesnt have it because they dont list it, he said then they cant stay and it happens a lot.... like really?? Stay clear of this place
I left 2 shirts in room 203 and called 15 mins after leaving when i realized I left them behind. The general manager told me the shirts were there when I called and even took down my name and. number asking when I would be able to pick them up. It was easter sunday when I checked out so I asked if I could come on monday morning and pick them up. She said that was fine. When my girlfriend went there to pick up the shirts the same manager said that they were not there. I followed up numerous times as I am positive that they were stolen by a staff member from the room. It is upsetting bc the manager offered no help in looking for the shirts. She claims that she never confirmed that they were there when she did, and even arranged for them to be picked up. These were $300 dress shirts. Its not about the money, its more about the utter lack of help that i got from the management at this hotel. I have filed a police report which I didnt want to have to do.
Upon arrival, went to 9th floor and got smacked with the smell of weed as we walked past the 100% smoke free floor sign. I have a 2 year old traveling with me I would rather him not smell that. Complained to staff and they had it fixed. 2nd day of stay found a dead bug on one of our beds and eggs on the other bed. Immediately packed up our stuff and they moved us to another room. The new room was bigger, but only had one king size bed for 3 people and a pull out couch bed. Checked the bed and it was clean, but found another dead bug and a chunk of food on the couch when we hadnt eaten in the room yet. Have been to many hotels and never been so disgusted by a hotel. Employees were quite nice, but the state of the rooms is disgusting. Book somewhere else!!!
Positive: Location Negative: I thought they were very skimpy on breakfast. Every time I went up to get some eggs there was no eggs in the heating pan and if there was there was very little including The meat. The food was also very cold. Very disappointed on the food selection.
I loved everything about my stay❣ Thanks to the entire staff but Id like to give a special shout out to Kandice #1Valette ..when I say she went ABOVE &BEYOND please believe it. Katie(neighbor am shift , cant remember her name 😪)Malik, Dajah....Entire Staff...THANKS for making my Mothers Day and my work week the best EVER
Positive: Nothing Negative: i was showering and someone almost broke the door latch and was pounding on the door like crazy. it was the room service trying to kick me out of the room before noon time although i told them i was taking a shower. i came out of the shower naked thinking
Positive: The front desk agent was funny, kind and attentive. It was a pleasure speaking to him briefly as he checked us in. We also came in for a slightly late check in and the lady who answered the phone to help us was great as well. Negative: No, they were very good.
Positive: Convenient location, clean rooms, decent fitness center open 24/7 Negative: Staff unconcerned about our comfort. After 11:30 p.m. evacuation due to afire alarm, I was able to return around 1:00 a.m., by climbing 9 flights of stairs, during which my asthmatic friend used inhaler, had to plea for a late check out w/no discount.
Positive: Breakfast Negative: When I arrived on Friday they checked me in a hotel and it was dirty it was hair all in the bed. So I went back down stairs and they checked me in a different room which was also dirty the tub and bathroom were not clean. So I called the front desk.
Positive: That they had free breakfast Negative: Was sleeping with my kids and the alarm kept going off was told to walk down the stairs which we was on the 10th floor, the hotel only had one exit stairwell which everyone had to walk down. Just to find out someone trip the alarm had to walk back up 10fl
Positive: No fuss but clean and convenient. Negative: The first room smelled like smoke. It was pouring out of the air unit. The front desk attendant gave me another room immediately with no questions or checking. That room was great. Everything was sanitized and they were friendly.
Positive: Location was nice, but the location wasn¿t. It¿s proximity to everything was great but the homeless sleeping against the doors wasn¿t. Negative: The staff was rude. Demanding everyone put on masks while theirs are under their chins, in general didn¿t explain anything. Also no parking. Nor valet.
Positive: Breakfast included daily. Negative: Living room tv, refrigerator and microwave unplugged upon arrival. Took my husband moving large heavy dresser to resolve issue. Granite table top not attached to table, discoverer by my small children. No extra linens in room for sofa bed. Table sticky.
Where should I start?First, the front desk and staff were pretty friendly and tried to be helpful. Having said that, thats where the positive remarks for the Hampton Inn Convention Center end.The bed was okay, pillows were awful, the old AC unit was on 63 degrees all the time to simply cool the room off and I was just hoping it would last through each night we were there. Three shallow wire shelves in the TV console represented ALL of the storage area in the room. There was no luggage rack/place to store luggage. It was difficult to flush the silly toilet because of the mismatched toilet lid that hungover the receptacle and sat on top of the flushing handle. The toilet seat was obviously mismatched as well (not a big deal, though). The shower head worked but the main plastic piece was broken and completely loose. The hotel initially provided enough toiletries for one person. The main reasons we accepted this hotel on our hotwire hot rate deal, where youre guaranteed certain hotels at the time of payment, was for the gym and breakfast. There was no breakfast available the first day we were here, and the second day we went down to eat at 9:40am and they said that they were not making anymore breakfast (eggs, hot items, etc.). Breakfast supposedly ended at 10am everyday. Needless to say, for the next 3 days we ate breakfast elsewhere. The hotel had no comment and did do anything to make our hotel breakfast experience any better. The gym was nice enough for our needs. However, there was never water in the gym. The water cooler is plugged in to the wall and, supposedly, a water line but no water comes out. There was no way of refilling a water bottle or insulated bottle. We would have to go to the front desk before working out to get water, and then go back to the front desk and plead for more water after the work out...really silly, unnecessary, and inconvenient. When we addressed the front desk about the lack of water they told us we could drink out of the bathroom sink. I travel to Latin America a lot and am used to buying 5 liter jugs of water before going to my hotel...that shouldnt be requisite in Philadelphia. From an aesthetic point of view, the lobby is about as nice as its going to get. Overall, a very dated, tired, and utilitarian hotel. Oh, and we had to buy an HDMI cable from a Target to watch Netflix (we lucked out with no in-room smart TV for our particular room). The hotel was centrally located, but right borders the convention center. I feel for the homeless situation in big cities, but there are a lot of homeless people in and around the hotel. As a couple we were yelled at a couple of times and complimented a couple of times by random homeless. It is what it is and doesnt bother us too much, but keep in mind that the hotel is not located in a nice area.Overall, if this hotel ever pops up on a Hotwire hot rates as an option, I will not use Hotwire again. For nearly $200 a night, this was the worst hotel experience Ive had. Unless a last resort, spend the extra $20-$40 bucks a night and go to hotel south of the convention center if youre wanting to stay in city center. You wont regret it.
This is an exceptionally clean and reasonably priced hotel. Rooms and bathroom are spacious. The staff were very courteous and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was of very good quality. The location of the hotel is also very convenient - it is located right across the street from the PA Convention Center and one block from the Reading Terminal Market and a moderate walk from the Riverfront/Independence Hall area. Overall, a great choice for families or business stay.Couple of useful things to keep in mind: parking is not included (this was informed at the time of booking). It is off-property, on nearby surface lots. There are a few people living on the streets around the hotel area (on the convention center side) although they did not seem to bother pedestrians, even late at night.
Positive: I did not have a good experience at this hotel will not recommend Negative: for --- dollars I expected maids to clean the room which they never did. Your continental breakfast if you want to call it that was atrocious with no real breakfast available. It lied about its parking for 30 dollars when it turned out to be 60 dollars
The room was clean and staff friendly when interacting with them. However, that was about it. Couldnt step in front of the hotel without someone asking me for a cigarette or money. A lot of homeless right out the door and no buffer. No easy check-in. Took over an hour to get checked in, more than 50 people in line by the time they allowed people to check in. No let me see if your room is ready or anything which Im sure every room doesnt get done at the time. Would not recommend as a place to stay and I wont be staying there again.
Positive: The awesome staff and breakfast. The hours were great 6am-10am so didn¿t feel rushed. Checkout was also great 11am. Felt wel rested. Negative: I felt real itchy in the room. Also was not impressed by the $30/night parking. An added expense on top of hotel stay and the $100 deposit for incidentals.
Positive: Free breakfast (although it was nothing special), free internet, microwave & refrigerator & flat-screen TV. Negative: Only cleaned the room every 3 days. Because I kept extending my stay, I never had 3 days in a row booked, even though I stayed for 5 nights. I explained that to them but that didnt help.
Hampton innThere is no valet parking. There is no secure parking nearby. Parking late in the evening was a nightmare. Even the loading zone/drop off was uncomfortable and crowded. Felt like I was going to get a parking ticket if I didn’t rush.Place is very industrial-minimalist. Built very solid, but dated. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Not a bad part of town, but not the best either. Of course we did feel secure inside.High Point of the stay was probably the customer service I received over the telephone. I do commend staff for their helpfulness.Breakfast was edible. Can’t say any more for it than that. No butter for the toast and one of the two juice machines was out of order. The eggs and sausage were less than cafeteria quality. There is a nice outdoor “veranda“ at what you can eat. I enjoyed my quiet time in that green space. I didn’t even bother with the coffee, I went out to get some later. Not a good value for the money, the worst Hampton Inn which I’ve ever stayed.
Did not feel the hotel was up to standards.we were told the rooms were to be cleaned every three days. we had once in 7 days, and if i did not ask 3 times on the 7th day, the staff on the floor, lobby, and another staff on the floor, it would not have been done. each time i was told it would be done, but after our return in the afternoon it was not. finally I asked again, and it got done, on the 8th day.I dont mind not wearing masks or wearing masks. But it seemed that only on the weekend was it being truly enforced. Again, i dont have an issue either way, but think you should know.Need to be more aware and attentive to people staying for an extended period of time. we were there for 9 nights and would have been nice to have the rooms kept to better standards. The beds were not comfortable at all.On a good note: the off site parking was very close. dont believe that it was part of the hotel but they were very accommodating. easy to use.The hotel is in a good location, close to the convention center, china town, and reading terminal, but lots of homeless people around. shame.its also very easy to get to I95 from there. dont have to go through the city traffic coming and going.
I Iike the fact they had security at the entrance he was not afraid to tell the vagrants that they could not hang in lobby.. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was nice and sanitary we all had to wear plastic gloves to handle food. They cleaned the tables as soon as you got up to leave . Bedroom. Sheets wrinkled. No cups in bathroom. Not enough towels.. Our view was that of a wall 😳
For convenience of being centrally located to everything I wanted to see including Convention Center, City Hall, Reading Terminal, Pennsylvania Train Station, hay maze, fountains with mist and live music, China town, Franklin Square park, LOVE park, Ben Franklin burial site cemetery visit, Betsy Ross house museum tour, Liberty Bell, Fashion district, Market Street.. it was in an excellent location, that gave us a wonderful experience to historical sights.Hotel itself was ok. Breakfast was included but eggs were too fluffed, oatmeal wasnt warm, coffee didnt hit the spot. Rooms were very clean and seemed sanitized even the remote had a cover saying its been cleaned. Beds were all white and looked appealing as clean and sanitized. I dont like colored covers, who knows if those get cleaned or not. Fridge, AC, micro all worked.Toiletries were not same brand, bath soap was missing, but was provided upon asking. Shower water was a hit or miss with temperature, I had to take a cold shower once in a three day stay. Overall the price I got online with Priceline was good too. I would recommend the hotel because the staff was amazing.
Staff was nice and friendly BUT room was not cleaned thoroughly and ready for guests. Couch and chair in room was disgusting and badly stained. Fingerprints were all over the headboard so I had to clean it myself with wipes. Homeless ppl all around the hotel and there’s no parking you will have to pay $30-40 a day through private parking in the area. I tried to get another room but none was available. Overall no I would NOT stay here again.
Positive: Room clean--Staff good Negative: Location wasnt good. Hotel was locked down 24/7. You needed room key or ring bell to enter hotel ANY TIME of DAY!! Didnt feel safe walking around neighborhood. Breakfast stinks, ate at nearby diner instead of free breakfast offered by hotel.
Positive: The room was spacious but that was due to it being for handicap people. Negative: was granted a 12pm, ¿late checkout¿, by the man working nightshift. The next morning we were harassed and taunted from 11am sharp by an apparent bouncer working for the hotel. This person who may or may not have been a female physically assaulted u
I waited 2hrs after check in before I got my room, of course at the same price, no discount, no prorated room. I was charged $100 security deposit, which it actual charged my card $115. I had a king suite with a sofabed. The carpet was sticky and dirty, and I say that because my 3yr old was waking around without shoes and socks, and his feet was dirty. I had to go downstairs to get my own towels and washcloths. Besides that, everything else was good. Breakfast, cant complain about that. Hotel was quiet, safe, and clean. One week later and Im still waiting for my $115 security deposit back. 🤦🏾♂️
Although the front desk clerk when we checked in was not disrespectful, he seemed irritated when my husband and I asked him to repeat the cost and locations of the parking lots. I was concerned to park our vehicle in a lot, a block away, which potentially may have been unattended all night. We were lucky to get into the first lot which still had spaces available and the parking attendant was on duty all night. There was no all night attendant at the other lot. Breakfast the following day was a disaster. There were no forks, no butter, and although there was cereal, there was no milk. A hotel attendant actually served guests meat and eggs, which because of COVID, I appreciated. Guests were allowed to make their own waffles. The check-out line the next day was extremely long and there was only one front desk clerk servicing guests. She finally asked for everyone who was checking out to leave their room key in a basket on the desk. I stayed in line because I needed a receipt. The clerk never called for assistance. On a positive note, the hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I will not make reservations at this hotel again nor will I recommend it to anyone.
Nice hotel near downtown. People working there were very friendly and helpful. Be aware the parking is not on site (about a block down the street). It is owned by another company and they double park cars in the lot. So you have to leave your keys with the attendant and walk a block back to the hotel. You also have to pay the $30/day in advance to the attendant when you pull your car into the lot.
Stayed here 3 nights. A regular Hampton inn - that mean a very good hotel, very convenient rooms, decent breakfast. We got a good price from booking.com (not from Hilton directly, difference was over 100$....).All main attractions are just an easy walk from hotel. Didnt use public transportation.Only downside - too many homeless persons in the neighborhood. Didnt feel unsecured but it gives you an uncomfortable feeling.Bottom line - recommended.
I checked in online and chose a room (11th floor). When I arrived the App said I need to check-in. While waiting in line we swatted away bugs. The staff said- Do you want anything out of the Hilton Honors Bag we would normally give you Frustrated I said I would pass. The real answer is, of course I do. Then we took the staff elevator to our room since the elevators where broken. Not the room I chose, but rather right in front of the elevators. Room was okay, but did have stains and was not as clean as I would normal expect from a Hilton product. Then there was a few more bugs on the bed before we went to sleep. Woke up and went to breakfast. Another bug landed in my food. Back to the room to get ready for my big race. Started taking the elevator down and it got stuck. We hit the alarm and finally after a few minutes we were able to get off the next floor down and walk the steps. The steps smelled like urine and took us into the staff laundry room. We did make our way to our event on-time somehow. The employees were nice, but it was obvious there was a staff shortage. Sorry this is the case and we understand that piece.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Please check your credit card bills. They tried to sneak in a charge days after I checked out and got a printout of my bill. Ive called for the past two days and no one will explain the additional charge and they will instead hang up or leave you on hold. DO NOT STAY HERE!
The rooms were nice in appearance but the walls were so thin that having a casual conversation was not possible without our neighbors hearing us.They sent up a security guard that to ask us to keep it down was extremely rude. He came to us with a problem and threatened to kick us out instead of offering us a solution. He was extremely rude to my friend and treated him like a child and when I pointed out that the way he was speaking to us was extremely rude he claimed that he wasnt. They should hire people who have the ability to communicate with people.
Friendly and polite staff, rooms are comfortable with nice amenities.But... the continental breakfast was terrible. Almost everything was gone by 9:30, there were SWARMING fruit flies assaulting me as I ate, landing on my food and drowning in my coffee. We killed 5 but it wasnt enough. Also, we were assigned a room that the staff were still cleaning, two of them hanging around outside our door and the next door room, apparently busy chatting.
This hotel was fine the parking situation isnt that great but its in a busy downtown area of a major city so its to be expected. My biggest issue with this place was checking in, it took me over an hour just to check in and when I went to the counter the lady asked my name and then without saying anything just walked away for ten minutes just leaving me standing there. The room was fine it was clean and had water bottles. The A/C worked great. This is far from the worst hotel in the area.
Awfully. Were regular customers of Hampton Inn, but this time something went wrong. When our family came to the front desk to take the room key, which we had already check in online and paid for, we were refused. We were told that there were no vacant rooms. It was already 7pm. We are tired after a long day. My children and I ended up without a hotel at night. The worst customer service ever.
Clean hotel, great customer service, but do not expect to be prepared to encounter homelessness and sketchy streets immediately outside the hotel. The hotel is near EVERYTHING, so that makes it worthwhile, but if you are on foot, just be prepared to be on your guard when going from the hotel to the surrounding areas.
Beautiful while you walking in the building to check in for your stay. was very clean and organized. The beds are so comfortable and loved the view outside of the city. They have breakfast from 6 to 10. Even took a late night walk and the weather was great while enjoying a walk in the lovely city. As for familys as well I recommend the Hampton Inn to stay while in the city. Will return soon and highly recommend The Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City Convention Center. Alittle better customer care with the receptionist that was there as of my arrival could of been more professional as well. Stand in line while just talking to someone and had me wait for about 5 minutes. It was different if it was a customer that he was taking care of but it wasnt and I had my reservation ready but other than that issue everything was great.
Positive: Excellent breakfast. Hampton Inn is consistently among the best at this. I particularly appreciated that it was open till 10am,as other hotels sometimes close earlier. Negative: There were a couple times that the front desk either didnt answer the phone or had no one there.
Positive: Excepting one person, the staff were helpful and friendly and did their best to make our stay pleasant. They had a very welcoming manner and handled any requests promptly and with unfailing good humor. Negative: Location is problematical. Although it is centrally located, it is also a block away from a homeless shelter and from the Convention Center where there are also many homeless. However, the corner where the hotel is located is well-maintained and clean.
After reading recent reviews I was hesitant about staying here, but I could not have been more pleased with the services provided by the staff…1) Front desk was very accommodating and a pleasure to speak with while checking in…even let me a little early! Especially Jamal!!2) Hot breakfast is back and just as good as I remember3) Location is fine…people worried about the homeless around, but come on it’s a city and they are nice people…I’m from NYC so I imagine it may be shocking for non city folk…and there weren’t even that many…4) Parking was 1/2 block away and cost me $50 for three days and two nights and even was allowed to hold onto the keys to come and go as I needed…which is reasonable for city costOverall it was a great hotel…very clean room and just remember you need to request for your room to be cleaned if you’re staying more than one night (which the staff reminded me upon checkin). Definitely would stay again when visiting Philadelphia
It seems to be a running trend at this property to overbook, so watch out for that. Arrived late to check in, and was told we had to go another hotel. Okay, fine as long as they have it covered for us... We arrive at the hotel they sent us to only to be told well have to pay out of pocket for that room since the Hampton never contacted them... Great. Said screw it and stayed there for the night as it was already 1AM. Went to the Hampton the next and was told they were sorry for the mix up but they would refund us and take care of everything, been almost 2 weeks and the charge is still applied on my card. The hotel is very unresponsive to emails and calls. All couldve been forgiven if they stayed true to what they said but sadly they didnt.
The room did not meet my expectations. It was musty, the towels were dingy, the carpet was sticky, and there was a smell of cigarette smoke. The front desk was very busy. I tried calling twice and was put on hold both times. I had originally booked the room for three nights, but ended up cancelling and going to a different hotel.I called after I had booked a different hotel and was able to cancel my reservation. Thankfully, there was no charge.
I wish I could give this hotel more than five stars! Firstly, my experience with their price comparison department was phenomenal. Christian was a darling and he dealt with my many inquiries and sudden changes as well as getting me an amazing price. Secondly, the room was immaculate. My friends and I were awed from the moment we entered (we loved the clean seal on the door) and we immediately took notice of how clean and orderly everything was. The front desk was always manned by helpful and kind associates willing to answer our crazy questions.
Hotel of last resort. Located on a sketchy street with an even more sketchy-looking “partner parking lot” (Hope car is still there tomorrow morning.). Incredibly at 10pm on a Friday night there was just one person working at check-in desk with 20 customers waiting … plus some hotel security guard standing by, just looking at the line. 30 minutes to finally check in. Low end rooms. Spend another $20 on one of the many nicer hotels in Philly.
Positive: The team were amazing. Ive lived in Philly many years so I knew what to expect from the location. And its a simple hotel that had all the things I needed. The workers are what made this experience outstanding. The team at the hotel were amazing Negative: The parking was a little confusing. The coffee had run out by the time we got back from our concert
Positive: The hotel was in a great location Negative: They had a pack n play but no sheets for it and the pack n play itself was stained and dirty. We ended up leaving because of the lack of appropriate sized sheets. It is VERY dangerous to put a baby in a pack n play with the wrong sheet
Nice hotel. It does have a lot of homeless around the building is probably the only negative but its a big city you are bound to have that. Everyone was very nice. The lady that cleans the rooms was super nice I spoke with her for a few minutes while I was getting more shampoo. She is a busy lady. The hotel is lucky to have her. I wish I knew her name.
I hate do give any business one star...but seriously, this is not a good place to stay. One of three elevators was malfunctioning. I was the only person in that elevator at 4am before heading to airport. The elevator jerked violently and stopped in between floors 11 and 10 on my way to lobby. I was terrified! Reported experience to front desk and she said We know. Cant fix until maintenance arrives at 7am WHAT??? SHUT THAT ELEVATOR DOWN!!!
First, be aware that this hotel has NO parking. There is parking across the street but it is $30 a night!!! The hotel didn’t inform us of that upon arrival. Also the room floor was disgusting and moist. Our toilet had brown stuff all over it. The rooms are extremely humid. The workers at breakfast were extremely rude to me and spoke to me like I was a child.
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and having a refrigerator and microwave is such a huge help. All that is great, but the staff is absolutely amazing. Jessica, at the front desk, has the best customer service of any hotel I have been to. Jessicas kind, friendly, and professional personality made me feel like I was right home. Safe and sound. Any needs I had, Jessica took care of them immediately. I would definitely stay here again.
Positive: The hotel was very nice and the front desk agent was cool and helpful. Negative: My first room housekeeping dropped the ball cause my room looked clean until you open the refrigerator and had old smelly food in there and then go to the bathroom and I had used pads in my trash can and pad wrappers on the floor.
I got two rooms. One of my rooms smelled like a heavy smoker was living in it. It was bad due to my family being senstive and even allergic to smoke.. We got the room changed. My other room only had a bathroom trashcan so we had to put our trash in the trashcan near the elevator. We also had to ask for exta towels and washcloths for each room. We only had two sets in each room. That took a while since during our stay since there would be no one at the desk The breakfast thats provided is not good. Its was a bagel with cream cheese, yogurt and fruit. We have no toaster so a toasted bagel with cheese is out the question. The front desk person the Morning we checked out was overwhelmed with a constant long line and her being by herself at 1030 am I know was very frustrating. I know the staff that we did interact with were overworked.
The hotel itself was nice and it was in a good location, but on the day we checked out, we had called the hotel because I had forgot my soccer jersey in the closet (just hours after checking out) and the hotel staff has been very unhelpful in even just checking the room for us. Weve been calling each day for the past 4 days in hopes of an update but each time, there has been no effort in checking the room or providing a simple update if the jersey is still there. Its been beyond stressful for us since its a highly sentimental jersey of mine and Ive never dealt with such unhelpful hotel staff. Luckily, I havent forgotten many things in hotels in my life, but the few times Ive had, hotel staff have always been happy to help. I dont know why Hampton Inn has been like this, Im so sad and this experience has totally ruined my trip to Philly. I dont recommend staying at this hotel.
The first night we arrived, the hotel was overbooked so they sent us to a different hotel. We were told to come back for the 2nd night. When we checked in the next day and left our bags in our room to get food, within that 30 minutes when we were gone, my bag was stolen. We told the hotel and an hour later, they found the bag in a different room. They said someone with a key entered our room and took my bag.I looked through my bag and saw my wallet with all my cash, credit cards and IDs were missing. I told the hotel and they didn’t have security cameras in the hallways and were not able to connect the other key that entered our room and the person using it. We had to file a police report. This took up our entire afternoon and we missed a wedding. The person who took my wallet spent $200 using my credit card at Guess. We still have no answers and I have to replace my entire wallet. On top of all this, parking is not connected to the hotel. There’s a lot nearby where if there are spots, you pay $30/night.The hotel said they would comp for the stay (minus parking) but we are still waiting for that refund a week later and it does not make up for us missing the wedding, the inconvenience of an entire wallet being stolen and the additional cash lost through it (which is higher than the hotel stay), and the fear of being robbed again. We had to pay for parking both nights and had to move our car in the afternoon to avoid getting double charged for parking. Sunday 4am, there was loud knocking outside of our door for 5-10 minutes, likely drunk people in the hallway. We will NOT return to this hotel and frankly, would likely not return to any other Hampton Inns. I would not recommend. I understand theft can happen at any hotel but it’s a problem when the hotel is unable to track back who the theft is that entered two of the hotel rooms, leaving us with many unanswered questions and a non-enjoyable weekend for our vacation.
Positive: Couldnt fit this below: Also, the nearby Days Inn appears to be a homeless shelter or halfway house! Negative: Terrible location!!!!! People should know that, unless they drove and parked a car at the hotel, they will need to walk through the tunnel at the Convention Center. That would be fine if there were not so many homeless people sleeping in it!
Security was first one to greet me and my 3 kids as we entered the hotel lobby and his greeting consisted of a stern look and a demand to get him off... Not knowing what the heck he was referring to he increased his tone and said it again. Once I realized he was demanding I take my 4 year old son off my shoulders I almost didnt believe it. Apparently piggie backs are a big no no at this Hampton Inn. Makes sense why they need to have security since had to navigate our way around 20+ vagrant individuals sprawled out on the sidewalk but they should try to treat guests with more respect. If this were a $100 per night place like the days inn across the way it wouldnt bother me so much but Id expect some level of hospitality here.
Positive: Brocken fridge, toilet kept running, and tub wouldn¿t drain Negative: I contacted the hotel to confirm a late check in around 5 am. The night auditor closed my reservation as a no show. He told me I was not able to check in until 4 pm. I had traveled all night and was very frustrated that my reservation was cancelled.
I chose this hotel because it had the best deal I could find in the area. I booked through lastminutetravel and they had no problem finding our rez and checking us in. I did have to wait in line for a while to check in but the people ahead of me had more questions so my check in was quick. The staff seemed overwhelmed (understaffed?) but I thought they were handling it well.I stopped in around 1pm to drop off my bags until 4pm check in so we could walk around. They gave us a ticket to hold and a ticket on the luggage. No issues with that. The room was modern and clean and the bed was comfy. We needed more tp and towels but they quickly brought up more. I didnt need parking, amenities, or daily room service. The grab and go breakfast was just ok but was better than the other hotels Ive stayed at during covid. Reading terminal market and Wawa nearby for better food anyway.Overall, room and service were totally fine for my needs, especially for the cost. I book cheap hotels because I will be out and about and need somewhere to sleep and leave my things, this hotel provided that.
The staff was very nice, but this was the worst Hampton Inn Ive ever visited. There were dark stains on the floor of our room. The decor of the hotel needs updating. None of the printers or computers at the business center were working. Jessica tried to help us, but her printer was jammed as well. The breakfast was horrible: dry muffin and granola bar and a bag of boiled eggs. The fitness center and pool were also still closed due to Covid, yet the reservation staff did not notify us of these changes. The other guests on our floor were noisy in their rooms and the hallways. They were knocking on doors and yelling until about 9:30 PM. We finally decided to checkout a day early. We were very disappointed, since weve always enjoyed our experience at Hampton.
If I was able to give 0 stars, I absolutely would. We arrived to the hotel at 12:30 am to be told the hotel had over sold and didn’t have our room for us. Mind you we paid in full in advance for this room. We were then told that a hotel a block away would accommodate us for the evening and the Hampton Inn would be paying for our room that night. Lies. We walked a block away with all of our luggage and were told by this hotel we would have to pay for our room because they can’t guarantee payment from Hampton Inn. Not only is their customer service extremely poor but the hotel lobby was extremely disgusting with trash visibly all over the floor.
This was the worse experience, we booked 2 rooms w/ king bed got there they didnt have it the had 2 queens in a room.I could deal with that .. that night we went out came back and our sons room was locked from the inside. We called the desk to open it and 15 min later security came that was still ok. He was unable to open it . The front desk then said we cant open it till 7 am and they have no extra rooms. ( Wow) I cant make this up... So my grown son ended up sleeping in the extra bed . They never asked if he had somewhere to sleep. (Not ok) then they tried to say he slammed the door too hard and the security bar locked he didnt slam it Im sure I was standing there (Im serious) so at 7 am they unlocked the door and we got ready for the funeral. This and a few other things happened and Im definitely not being petty. I will hopefully never have to go there again also the room was booked through a third party so we had to go through them to get a refund. Still waiting.(WOW) The hotel offered nothing for our inconvenience. The security officer was nice 🙂 he gets 5 ⭐ for trying to get the room open.
Positive: Great location Negative: Doors kept slamming all through the night. We had a very early flight to catch and we were hoping to get some good rest before; however doors in the hall were slamming up until we decided to leave early. I would not recommend this location.
Positive: Price Negative: It was a half block from a homeless shelter so there were alot of homeless around the hotel day and night. They alos did not let anyone check in until 4 even though there were at least twenty people lined up waiting and the hotel was not full. Alosy
Very rough & staff were very disorganized! The parking lot they recommend you park in is a disaster & the staff that work there are very rude! Breakfast at the hotel was also a disaster, not a lot of choices, items missing... i.e. they had cream cheese out but no bagels.... your better off driving a little bit further on the outskirts of the city to stay somewhere.
We are never coming back to this hotel ever. We checked via the app but when we got to the hotel and a little past 4 PM, we had to wait in line that goes all the way to the eating area. After almost an hour wait,we were told our room isnt ready but we checked in online and was given a room #. Anyways, we took the new room and when we got to the room, right away we found the trash cans with no trash bags, no soap, water drippings from the tub and to make it the worst, we checked the bed and found both beds with so much hair!! Ewww... that was nasty!! We waited for new sheets for almost two hours and changed it ourselves. Dirty laundry cart and dirty linens were left in the hallway from the time we checked in all the way until 9 PM. Free water was empty and coffee containers in the lobby were empty too. Dirty rooms and dirty bedding. The walkways to the parking lot has tons of trash scattered all over the place. We will never go back here and will definitely let friends know about this.
The worst experience I ever had with a hotel rooms were fine and clean but everyone at the front desk are very unprofessional especially the lightskin one with curly hair and glasses, and their manager Julian. First they gave me 3 copies of room keys that didnt work. Then after I checked out I called to verify some charges on my card and their in the background talking about me not knowing I hear every word. Ill find whoever works over them because they need to be humbled
The room was not ready when we got to the hotel even if it had been reserved for over 2 weeks. The drain hole for the tub was not working properly and may have gotten a couple bites from an unknown source still TBD. Needless to say I moved all my belongings to the table. And I have gotten notification from both my email and bank account that there have been attempts to either change my password or log into my account multiple times, and I only used by card at check in while staying in Philadelphia. It just seems very suspicious that this happened after my stay at the hotel.
Not enough towels were provided so at the end of a cross-country journey we tried to call room service - the phone didnt work at all. Yes, plugged in. So I went down to the desk, still wet. Nobody behind the counter and other clients had been waiting at the desk a while. Said they rang the bell. I went straight to the managers door door knocked to get service (just needed towels in our case) Terrible way to land a long exhausting journey.
The staff at this Hampton were very helpful and friendly, however, the hotel was not cleaned well. The elevators were dirty, my room had an order and overall was not cleaned well. The furniture was dingy, the coffee pot was dirty and the bathroom had hair on the ceiling.
Customer service is not a thing in this place. 12 hours wait for a reply to a message through the app. No one picks up the phone and you have to carry your own bedding from reception to the room. I would understand it if this was $20 a night but for $200+ its an absolute disgrace. Avoid
I really think they take extra time to ensure the comfort and safety of their guest. I was quite impressed with the cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff. Plus the location, close to Center City shopping area made my whole stay excellent and convenient where all my needs and desires were richly fulfilled.
If I could give zero stars I would. After notifying the hotel of our late checkin, when we arrived at the hotel we were informed there was no room for us. The staff stated we could go to a near by hotel, and the Hampton Inn would cover the charges we were charged. It has been more than a month, and Hampton Inn has not reimbursed me or the other hotel. I will never stay at this hotel. Not only is the place disgusting, the staff is incompetent.
THERE IS NO POOL!!! They say they have a pool but there is no pool. I only chose this hotel because I wanted the pool. Maybe that’s why they keep saying there is one, to get people to choose it who otherwise wouldn’t. Everything else about my stay was fine. I just wish that I would have known that there was no pool.
Staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful people Ive ever dealt with at a hotel. Unfortunately, some of the guests smoked cigarettes and marijuana in rooms nearby. When I asked to change rooms staff were very accommodating. When I mentioned I was not sure when I would check out because I was in Philly to care for my daughter who was in the hospital the woman at the desk gave me the 4th night at the weekday rate even though it was the weekend and the rate was higher.
When I arrived at the hotel, there was a huge line even though 6ft was being practiced. I waited patiently and It was my turn which I approached the front counter to check in. I issued my state ID and my credit card and opened my booking confirmation number and my name used to book.Unfortunately the customer service representative couldnt find my name in the system for some reason. and she asked me how I booked my reservation and I told her I booked it through booking.com and the first thing that came out of her mouth was Well thus what happens when you book through a 3rd party and you dont book through the hotel. you should call booking.com she said because she couldnt help me.I said excuse me thats not very professional to tell a customer because I believe the hotel also has some time of deals with all these third parties. So then she walks off to the back room and I got off the line to cool off and then went back in the line. The next customer service agent was able to find my name and with the same ID and credit card without any questions. He tried to apologize for his coworker but she opened the back door and said Im tired of this.apart from the bad customer service representative and her bad comments, the hotel was clean and I liked my room. nice and clean.Customer service is very important in this hospitality industry.
It was very good. I loved this Woman hospitality. I forgot her name but she works at the front desk and she has dredd locks in she works at the Hampton hotel at 1301 Race street. I was just there . In her personality in her smile is gorgeous. In she is very Respectful
Its OK but nothing special. The so called breakfast was a pre-packaged muffin and a bottle of water. There really was no parking - they sent us to a lot where they were supposed to have a special rate but it was completely full, and they led us to an unsupervised open overnight lot (cheap but risky - luckily our car survived). Not terrible but no strong reason to come back.
It was just okay. The room was fine but the wall were thin. We stat the whole weekend and barely got any sleep. The neighbors on both sides and across the hall must have been together. They yelled banged on walls and ran the halls in til between 1 and 3 am. When we told Jess at the front desk. Nothing happened. She just informed us that they were full. Not so much as the offer of an ice cream popsicle. Will never go back or refer anyone to go. My entire stay was to get sleep, relax, and recharge. Not what I got.
The hotel was less than standard for me. The tile on the rooms exposed floor was sticky and the carpet was suspect. Two adults booked room for 2 nights but the bathroom was equipped with only two towels and two wash cloths. the concession area in the lobby was stocked with lean cusine microwave meals ice-cream and sodas. The biggest negative was The location. Sketchy, seedy are two words that come to mind.. The unfortunate homeless slept on at least two of the four corners. Although a police station was across the street there seemed to be a lot of vagrants/panhandlers around.no hotel garage and parking is down the street. Honestly I was afraid of my surroundings and looking over my shoulder one of the two nights we ventured out. We returned to the hotel before dark the second night. BIG MISTAKE booking this one for us!
This was literally the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at! We arrived on a Friday. As soon as you walked into the hotel there was human feces in between the 2 glass doors ( we reported it to the front desk) it was there until we checked out Sunday. The first room they gave us was clean and smelt good but the heat didn’t work. We called and they switched our room. The new room stunk like cigarettesand seemed dirty ( didn’t report it because when we reported the first room for the heat the guy that answered seemed bothered that we were calling. Saturday morning there were blankets payed out in the hallway like someone was sleeping there. This place was literally a joke. Don’t waste your money go somewhere else.
The staff tried so hard but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not get rid of ironing boards. I never know when I am going to discover a wrinkle in my clothes as I dress for business while staying with you. I would hate to feel late or rushed while waiting for an ironing board to be delivered to my room.
As a Diamond member, I wish that I could say my recent experience at Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City-Convention Center was enjoyable but it was far from it. My check in on the app was smooth; however, we entered our room on the 11th Floor and it smelled foul. The odor was so pungent and the smell of cigarettes was unbearable. I went down to the front desk and had to ask for another room which they provided on the 8th floor. During my interaction with the front desk employee, my membership status was not recognized or acknowledged which was also disappointing that your hotel doesn’t distinguish your most loyal customers. We entered the alternative room option and the odor in the second room was even worse. The air was unbearable and stunk of marijuana. I had to go back to the front desk and ask for another room, this time on the 6th floor. Not only were we inconvenienced by the constant relocating, our room was demoted to a lesser desirable option each time which made me feel that my loyalty to the hotel was again, not recognized. We lost two hours of time relocating to another room which was lost time that we could have used towards our vacation. I requested a late check out at noon in hopes to make up for some of that lost time, and your employee, Jessica, refused to provide me with one since she already gave several out. I had to ask for an exception for a Diamond member (again – I had to stress my membership rather than have it recognized), which she rudely responded, “Fine” and hung up on me. The customer service was appalling. I have stayed at this venue before, and your customer service and accommodations have decreased superbly. It was an awful experience. Probably one of the worst I have experienced. I had a friend traveling with me who also was flabbergasted at how dreadful we were treated. I was embarrassed. I had higher expectations for Hilton Hotels as I began to travel again, and am severely disappointed in your corporation. Clearly, being a loyal member means nothing. As a result, I will be decreasing my stays at Hilton and taking advantage of my status at Marriott. My hope is to share this with you to make you aware of the experience that your “valued” members are having. I hope that there is a call to action for change.
A light skin heavy set woman with frizzy hair was very rude to me. She worked the front desk and refused to give my receipt and do my check out , because shes stuck up. I paid alot of money (overpriced) to be disrespected by and overweight tart. Hire better people who are professional.
Customer Service:The staff at the hotel was extremely warm and always trying to problem solve which I appreciated. The complimentary water upon arrival was helpful vs having to go and purchase water for the room. The room was very modern, spacious and clean. It was a pleasant surprise how upgraded the room was.The air in the room was not cold enough, it stated it was on high and at 60 degrees but it felt like 72.this made sleeping through the night difficult as it was quite hot outside. I raised this concern to the front desk someone came but was unable to resolve the issue.Breakfast:Great breakfast selection. This was truly 5 star service. The staff that worked in this department had amazing energy and was great about refilling everything. There was also a wide selection of items so everyone was satisfied.Housekeeping: Our room was not serviced until about 5pm. This was frustrating and the floor was not swept in the bathroom although it needed a quick cleanning.Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return!

2022-04-09Clean hotel and well maintained rooms even though its shows its age. Right at the heart of center city its a great plus. Parking is expensive if using the valet. There is a $15 parking spot just the next block. The staff was mot what I would expect from a star hotel. Anyone who does not show they are enjoying their work is a big negative in the service industry. Overall it was a comfortable stay.

2022-04-11Nice facility! Friendly housekeeping staff and hotel itself is well kept. There were a bunch of people smoking on our floor but we know that the hotel has no control over what guests do inside their rooms unless reported. Walking distance to so many restaurants and attractions. Warning, walk outside in the evening at your own risk. Pleanty of people will stop you to try and ask for money... but isnt that in all big cities though?

2022-02-13I had a very relaxing stay! The room was very clean and smelled fresh I’ve had my fair share of experiences with cleanliness and odors thankfully this wasn’t my experience. The complimentary breakfast was more then wrapped bagels and donuts. The only downside was the room was booked for a king we had to get a double queen parking was supposed to be $30 it was $45 otherwise no other concerns. Thank you!

2022-02-28Positive: The first night room was ok shower was not super clean. The hallways smelled of weed but hospitality was ok. The woman who checked us in was lovely working hard on her own. Negative: The only thing that i did not like was when to check in again there was one gentleman at the desk asking me to put my mask on when a woman behind me in town for a squash tournament was not questioned about a mask also hotel smelled super strong of weed.

2022-04-25The $250 deposit they require on check in is insane. Reviewing the Pennsylvania hotel code it seems that the deposit should not be more than the cost of one nights stay. The doubletree and the Club quarters deposit is the usual $50 which I find acceptable. They did however refund the hold on my card immediately which I appreciated. Hotel has street parking at night which is nice for late arrivals and early departures, and the breakfast was more than. Sufficient. Rooms are large and guest floors are quiet.

2022-05-24Positive: The room was perfect and I really appreciated the all day coffee availability. The staff was also super nice and upbeat. Negative: The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Of course, that is not the hotel¿s fault but I did not feel they managed the aftermath well, including that the alarm went off again and I had to call reception to learn it was a test.

2021-12-05I stay here at least once a month to relax. The staff have always been great. Reception is courteous and efficient. The cleaning staff have always been helpful; and, respectful of quiet hours. The rooms are wonderfully clean; stocked with plenty of toiletries and linen. The rooms and hallways are always quiet. And I love this convenient location. Nice view. Thanks to Denise at reception for making sure my stays are always pleasant.

2022-03-12Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The bed was hard as a rock, didnt like. The shower plunger didnt pull up properly and after 5 min of effing with it I used it the best I could. Smallest amount of pressure imaginable. Worst shower of my life, no joke. Other than that, awesome trip.Moral of the story: Check the shower as soon as you step foot in the room. Dont wait till you have stayed the night. Cause then you will get up, having not slept very well because of the hard bed and such and think Im gonna take a shower before I leave, wait what it doesnt work right. I dont have time for someone to come look at it so I didnt call the desk. I wanna take a shower and then hit the road. I just aint a city boy

2022-04-26Semi nice stay. Shell shocked at the final bill though. VERY PRICEY! Valet was not clearly explained. $45 per night but they did not inform me of the Valet TAX $10.00 per night. I could of parked for less in the lot next to the hotel. Rooms were OK. TV had no guide so you have to click each channel. Refrig froze our items and hard to get to and the coffee maker was hard to access. Breakfast was good. Evening food was very limited so we had to go out after a long day. Will have to rethink my stay here next year.
Review №10
2022-06-13I normally do not write bad review, but this case is rather different!Stayed for 4 nights and here what happened:1. First night the front desk (a man) tried to get into my room and demanded first and last name because he was so sure that the room is empty! I had to let him know that his colleague named Tiffany checked us in!2. The toilet was filled with toilet papers when we got there, and shower has very sad water power!3. Second and third night, fire alarms went off at 3:30 am and 12:45 am respectively! We all had to evacuate out, however I can understand the first time but the second time was the error of the alarm itself (as I was told by the front desk!). The elevator was not working for the second time and we had to walk up 11th floor.4. I requested the room to be made up twice and it was not done! The front desk apologized at the time and said to me that he will give some point towards my Hilton Honors to make it up, but I did not receive any point!I have always liked Hilton. However, this one left me with very bad experience indeed!
