Food is fresh. I give 4 stars to happy dragon because all take out chinese restaurants food seem to be the same. All coming out of the same box. Beat you hope for is that they dont keep & re- fry their food too much & keep it clean.So yes it doesnt taste like there is a person with their own recipes cooking the food but at least, it is fresh & you dont feel like you are eating the same chicken that was left over from 2 days ago.I like the fact that the restaurant it self looks clean.I have walked out of ones for pick up because it was so dirty that the customers can see, can you imagine the areas you can not see , like where they store food.
All of their sauce is the same. Vegetable stock and soy sauce. If you order a spicy dish such as general tso...there is no spice to it. They are too cheap to buy chili sauce and use ketchup in its place. Oh and let me not exclude the egg rolls....so hard youll crack a tooth.
Food is always delicious! The best wonton soup, spare ribs, fried rice, Singapore noodles, chow mein, etc. Everything we have tried there is so good.
Ive been a patron of Happy Dragon for years, we took our kids when they were young to their Whitman Plaza restaurant, before this one. The food has always been delicious, the service always amazing. We wouldnt go anywhere else.
Really really good! They made it exactly the way I asked and seemed extremely happy to customize the order for me. Not only was food extremely good but restaurant was very clean and they were more than polite but were pleasant genuinely friendly.When entering I was immediately impressed by how clean everything was. And this only got better. Ill be returning again soon.
This was my first and last time ordering from here for 2 shrimp fried rice platters wit General Tos chicken 25.80 the rice was mushy tasted old burnt weird no soy sauce duck sauce no napkins
Ordered Szechuan dressing for vegetables which is generally a brownish colored spicy sauce. I have ordered it 100 times. This place sent me a sweet and sour sauce. I called to complain as I dislike sweet and sour and he said that is how he makes Szechuan. Sweet and sour and he adds ketchup. Ketchup? That is gross. I told him it was inedible and he said nothing.
I ordered 3x from here 1st time very good but last 2x only pork fried rice good. The chicken n broccoli was disgusting chunky not at all th be usual chicken n broccoli I am used to and 2nd time eating general tsos chicken was given old chicken out it was crispy thats how old it was. Only thing consistently good is pork fried rice with egg.
Ordered a combo at 3:15 my lunch hour didn’t get it til 4:28pm cold! General Tao ..terrible the chicken was so hard couldn’t even eat it. Taste like it was refried with old oil and then microwaved before it was delivered COLD ;(. Do not ever order from here. I will send out this post to as many of my colleagues in South Philly as possible. Less then subpar. Worst $12.05 I spent on food in last year. Starving and still won’t eAt this. Had to throw entire dish of food in the trash. Pissed and hungry
I called today around 6:15 Pm. The guy on the phone was so nice and efficient. Also, the food was good and delicious.The meifun never disappoints me.

Fantastic Chinese food! Their duck sauce and hot mustard are homemade and to die for. Everything is delicious. Perfectly fried, crispy, egg rolls and scallion pancakes.

First time eating at happy dragon and it will be my last. Me and my family Did not enjoy the food at all. It had absolutely no flavor and overall it was not good.
Very good chinese food, high quality and ft the interior design is rather intricate. Staff works itself to death when its busy, and I applaud them for their word effort.

Delicious but little expensive
The food was delicious and the price was under $25 for three of us. we has the plain lomain, shrimp lomain, egg roll, chicken fried rice and won ton soup.
Really good Chinese food. The best part is the homemade hot mustard you use to dip the egg rolls in. Would definitely recommend.
The egg roll was cold and soggy I ordered chicken with garlic sauce (no garlic) horrible! I ordered fried wontons and got fried dumping instead. Nothing was good what a waste of money!

Everything was fine except for the delivery guy didnt call when he arrived and woke my roommates. He said he didnt call because he didnt know it was an apartment, REALLY? Shouldve called regardless.

2022-07-27Good enough to feed to my dog… wouldn’t recommend for you.I ordered general tsos, chicken and broccoli, and beef and broccoli with pork fried rice.The sauce seemed watered down and was very bland. The broccoli was over cooked and soft to the point that it had the same texture as frozen vegetables. It was really unpleasant to eat honestly and I ended up ordering from another spot and throwing the food away.

2022-07-26Never go here the food is terrible like how do you call this food, i have never been this dissatisfied in my life... like i have never had chicken and broccoli look and taste so bad in my life the sauce was so bland it tasted like corn starch the broccoli was soggy like if it was frozen and the chicken tasted like rubber.

They have great service and are great to speak with on the phone.What to order: soup, rolls, lo meinTheir soups and rolls are made from scratch and delicious. The wonton soup is the best Ive ever had..really tender, full wontons and a deeply flavored broth. I also really like the egg rolls. One egg roll and one small soup make a great meal. The lo mein is great and loaded with lots of fresh ingredients.What not to order:General Tsos or similar fried chickenThe chicken doesnt taste high quality and the sauce/coating not good.The scallion pancake also not good and burnt the one time it ordered it.

2022-07-18Great dumplings and the General Tsos chicken was amazing, but only a little broccoli came with it, so if you like broccoli order an extra side of it. Delivered promptly too.

2020-10-12We ordered 3 egg rolls with our meal and they weren’t delivered. There was no receipt posted on the bag so we have no idea what we were charged for. We called back after adding it up on our own and they then stated that the online prices were not their posted by them. It said $2.20 online for wonton soup, but they charged $5.50. They don’t have any other pricing online except through All Menus so you have no idea what price your going to pay. Usually Chinese places give free egg rolls. It cost $35 WITHOUT tip for 2 quarts of wonton soup 1 order of dumplings and 1 order of spare ribs. 😡😡😡😡😡😡 was still hungry

2021-01-26Never ordering from here again. Ordered over $70 worth of food and didn’t receive a fork, napkins, or condiments (soy sauce, hot mustard, duck sauce) for the food. Called the store back to inquire about what was missing to be placed on hold for what seemed like 10mins. Talked to three different people and the third person I spoke with told me “oh whenever the delivery driver has time he will drop it off”. U got me once you won’t get me again. Sorry but not sorry....Response to owners reply: so I ordered food the day before from you all was given everything needed to eat with forks, condiments, & napkins without even asking. And I wasn’t home where I have my own utensils, I was actually at work & that’s where my food got delivered too.. the nursing home...
