Hertz is ABYSMAL to rent from. God forbid you need help to change a reservation or when your rental car breaks down. All their reservation line calls are routed through an Indian call center with RIDICULOUS hold times, and they will not email you an updated receipt of charges despite what they say. In fact, the reservation line failed to update my pickup time even though they acted like it was updated. You are required to provide a major credit card to register with the app, and I was unable to update anything online using my rental record number, so thats FALSE ADVERTISING. If your car breaks down on the weekend like mine did (transmission malfunction), GOOD LUCK! Hertz locations (except for airports) arent open on the weekends; after 20min of being on hold on 2 separate occasions I could not get roadside assistance on the phone. The likelihood of you getting a comparable (or clean) model if your rental breaks down is slim. The in-person staff literally DO NOT CARE about your time when youre having issues with a reservation, and the airport check-out operators nearly cause accidents from complete lack of communication. Theres a reason they seem a little cheaper up front; but had I known the headache this rental company would cause once I had the actual car, I would have GLADLY paid an extra $50 for a smooth rental experience.

This is way overdue and I tried to wait for the email to submit a survey but did not see it. I wanted to thank Ms. Kim over at hertz rental she was absolutely amazing, super accommodating and supportive of my situation. I had blisters on my feet and she did quick work to get me my rental and make sure everything was checked out and good to go. Lovely to speak with and she made me feel better despite the pain of my feet and the popcorn was so good as well as the complimentary water. If you go to hertz expect great customer service especially from Ms. Kim!!

Gold Member? Don’t bother. Gold is “closed now for the evening” so I am 12th in line, with only 2 Hertz associates on duty. Future more they are no cars currently so I have to take a tickets and stand outside.

Love the staff here in Philly. I returned a car driven from Florida and the entire staff could sense my angst and were so kind and helpful. It was such a great experience. The desk staff and the lot attendants were the best! Thanks to the great team!

Had a late flight arrival time and being in President Circle, they made it easy for me to get my car and go. Main office was closed, but I was able to get out at the check out booth with a Hertz rep being there. Friendly staff, car was clean and ready to go.

I rented from another location and I was told to call to return to this airport location but the number was busy or not in service. I called customer service and they were trying to charge me an additional $900 for just a change no extension! They told me that I would get charged a city fee but the fee was the same amount as a weekly rental in a large truck!!! This is ridiculous. If I couldve spoke to someone there I couldve been prepared for an additional $300 (which is an improvement I suppose) for a location change but their number did not work!!! Im so upset with this location and hertz for the way they treated me! Whats the point of this gold status again??? 🤔

Great car selection and helpful staff.I lost my customer feedback form, but I want to thank Betty for making my otherwise awful day a lot easier! I had gotten my car from the JFK location, got sideswiped on my way to Philadelphia, and was an exhausted mess when I went to exchange the car(side note: way more cars at the Philly location compared to JFK and my exchange was to a nicer newer car of the same model). Betty helped keep me calm and was very kind and helpful. I lost my mother over 10 years ago, and sometimes I just need a nice lady to tell me itll all be okay.

Way under staffed! The staff did the best they could but Hertz needs more people at this location in Philly from 3-8pm for sure. The line was a out the door and we waited for hours.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. March 26-30 2022 I rented a car from Dollar rent a car. I returned the car, was told everything was ok. I received a bill showing showing fuel charge only. An hour later, I received a new statement showing a $400.00 charge for vehicle damage. I emailed requesting what the damage was, I originally got no answer, so I spoke with customer service, who did not know and assured menthe charge would be refunded. Then I got a response via email that the charge was for smoking, I dont smoke, so I disputed this, and asked for the evidence that they kept telling me about. I was sent some photos of smudges and dust. I questioned why the photos were not date/time stamped, as this was now 2 months later. Also, if this is evidence, why was it not pointed out to me at the time it was returned, why was I sent a correct statement and then it was amended later. As yet no one at Dollar or Hertz has answered these questions, and customer service now just says that the car smelled like smoke. That was never mentioned in the months this has been going on. I feel like this was an employee smoking in or near the car after it was returned, and I cannot get any further with customer service who have tried to be as least helpful as possible.

When you rent from Hertz do not leave the property without being checked out in person. A $295 car rental, were charged over $700.We returned our car early and waited 20 minutes for someone to come and check us out. We went inside and waited in line to check out,they called out If your returning your car just leave it and well send you a receipt We were hesitant but we did just that.Then I got the bill that should have been $295. It was over $700.We had taken a car to begin with that stank like smoke but by the time we got to the exit we had 3 cars behind us and we had somewhere to be so the attendant said she would make a note, not to worry. We were charged $400 for smoking. We filled the tank up and they charged us $20. We got the charges removed and there was a notation in the records they just didnt see it. In the end we were credited to the amount we should have paid after 2 phone calls and a connection to a supervisor.
