Overall very disappointed in our accomodations. Furnishings were sparse very cheap and worn. sheets were paper thin and 2 small for bed. Bed was poorly and haphazardly made. tv screen and tables were not clean. one bathroom toilet was not clean (stained). Upon arrival called front desk bc we only had one remote for 2 tvs and was told they have a few i can try and i could come down to front desk and get one. thankfully a housekeeper stepped in and took care of the remote and tv but it set tone that quality and service is not a priority. I must say she was delightful and apologetic and we didnt want to take up more of her time. after all the front desk is supposed to be concerned with these things.little things that add up:also coffee cup lids didnt fit cups (this was 2nd Hilton suite that had this problem - clearly a wrong order they didnt rectify)there were no cups or glasses for waterthere were no note padsneither our entry into room nor the hall had furnishings or plants - these things add warmth and comfort.I know covid put a strain on the hospitality industry, but Hilton should do better.as travelers we put out good $ for a suite and expected better. 3/4 of our room was vacant space leaving us feeling like we were staying in an institution (think govt office building) instead of a luxury suite. Room was depressing and we couldnt wait to leave.2 star rating only bc of the housekeeper
Room was not the cleanest - stains on bedspread when we arrived. Some of the pillows in the room had feathers which were causing some family members to have allergic reactions. We asked to have them removed and replaced which we were originally told would be done only to be told later when we returned to our room that they could not accommodate us. They eventually found pillows for us. We asked to have our room serviced by housekeeping only to return to find it had not been done. Instead I was provided new sheets to make the beds myself. We expected more from a location with the Hilton name and the per night price that was charged. We will not be returning.
Location is great, but that is about all. The room was ok clean, there was a towel that was obviously used and not washed, folded and put in the bathroom for use (see picture). The coffee in the morning was gross, sludge with water at best. Very disappointed with this Hilton.
Check in was highly disappointing. Terrible customer service. Selene had so much attitude she couldnt be bothered with any information about breakfast other than its on the paper, not if it was included or what type of service, not even a bottle of water or acknowledgement of diamond status. Just blatantly put the wrong name on the wrong room so now my business card will not match my name for expenses when I am here on business. Her only reply was youll have to talk to a manager in the morning. No apology for ignoring both mine and my co-workers instructions on which room my name would go on. She didnt know the difference between the the rooms and what had the king deluxe and what the other room was. Very poor attitude, the whole experience made me want to leave immediately. Next business trip, I wont be staying here. But I will take her up on speaking to the manager in the morning, especially as Ive got several more days here unfortunately.
Terrible experience. Room was smelly, no hot water, swimming pool had no towels, room had only 2 towels and the front desk was no help at all.. I am a diamond status and stayed at hilton all over the country, and this is probably the worst. Pro is the Pa fitness across the street and walking distance to couple of good restaurants.
For the price-$376.00 per night, not worth it. Overpriced breakfast. Faucet in the bathroom leaked. No hot water after 30 seconds into a morning shower. I made management aware of this and was told that the problem will be resolved as soon as the plumbing company gets the parts. No apologies. Perhaps a complimentary breakfast? I didn’t make an issue of it. I guess good help is hard to find due to Covid-19. Next time I will try a $65 per night Motel 6 and get what I paid for knowing not to expect much. One last thing, they do not change the bedspreads when guests checkout. They simply spray disinfectant on the bedspread. I observed this while walking past a room that was being “cleaned “ after the guests across the hall checked out. Disgusting!!With all the negative reviews about this dump, you would think they would close the place and make the necessary improvements.Your typical rehearsed apology is almost as bad as your filthy hotel. I tried reaching out to you and provided all the information except for my reservation number, which I cannot find. Your response, “we cannot verify your stay without the reservation number “. I guess your computer system is as old and outdated as your hotel! Perhaps a visit from the Health Department would change the way you guys operate.
Im still here, for a one night stay. Disappointed so far. Here for work. Its 9:30 p.m. and the fire alarm has gone off twice so far. A big bus of teenagers and parents are here, drinking, loud (the parents) with room doors cracked and roaming the halls. Unbelievably loud. The elevator does not work, and I carried everything up 3 floors. I went to get a snack and water - no one at the front desk - so I told the bartender what I took from the snack area. Hes swamped with the loud drinkers in the lobby too.Sink is leaking. This is going to be a long night.UPDATE- morning, NO coffee in my room for the Keurig. None. Just tea. Added a whole new level to this disappointment.I guess I can cross this one off my my list as I wont ever stay here again. Not what Im used to from Hilton.
Absolutely filthy. Multiple stains all over the carpet and furniture. The rooms were dirty too. My first room had someone elses luggage in it and smelled of mold. The second room had hair all over the sink in the bathroom. Also nothing around except Hershey Park. The people at the front desk were very nice though.
Unfriendly front desk. (PM, the AM shift was great)Hershey? Diamond at the front desk helped us and was the best part about our stay.No password for the wifi so we couldnt add my sons heart rate monitor and get notifications to my phone. No hot water in rooms 203 or 307.Walls are paper thin and the doors slam shut. And our door would not lock. You had to lift the door for the lock to engage. Also couldnt turn off the thermostat. I needed to set it to 77 and switch it to cool for it to stay off.
Good location and the staff was friendly. The room was dirty, though. Couch had stains, bed linens were dingy, no linens for the foldout, no tub stopper, mildew on the shower curtain, understocked and dusty coffee station. Wont be staying here again. Not what I expect from Hilton.
Im not impressed that if you are not a diamond member, you have to order breakfast to get breakfast for yourself and family/guest out of your pocket. Its pricy to use this hotel for the state it is. Maybe sometimes ago it use to be the thing around the area; In my opinion, not anymore. I was not satisfied with the experience there. Few doors were strange the way they were left opened with slacked hinge. I had to lift up my door to get it closed. For the price I paid for a night, I think myself and my family are entitled to free breakfast. The A/Cs thermostat did not control anything. I manually used the buttons on the A/C itself. The noise from the A/C, not helping. hakeemajibose.com.
This is a very subpar HGI and nowhere close to worth the ~$180 I paid for it. The walls are paper thin (I could hear my neighbor cough all night). The internet was so slow, I could barely get webpages to load and couldn’t stream videos. The beds are HARD. And the rooms and hotel (except the lobby) is old and rundown. I have stayed at many Hilton properties - this one is my far one of the worst. AVOID.
Not what I would expect of Hilton Garden Inn, and as a Hilton Honors member. I never post reviews - but wanted to help others before you book.If youre coming with a family, be aware, theyre terribly understaffed. The room was in poor condition, some of the bulbs in our room were out, and our tub didnt drain properly (it filled to about half way during a shower.)The rooms are dark and dreary. The beds/pillows are ok at best. The breakfast is only from 8AM to 9AM, and not what you would hope for as on Tuesday they only offer up a box with a bagel and juice. The location is excellent, and we dealt with the conditions - as it would have been too difficult to change locations with our whole family. There was some friendly staff - and mostly we commiserated with them how understaffed they are. There were those that were definitely trying their best. But, one key staff member (at the front desk) intimated if I was unhappy - I should find another hotel. It was clear they had enough of hearing complaints all day.Very disappointed overall. Theres better out there in Hershey for a lot less.
Decent place to stay, though there are plenty of options around. Hershey Lodge was booked for my event (I was in town for work) This hotel was around $25 less than the Lodge at the time of my booking. For what I paid Id have expected a bit more. Bathroom was not very well maintained (but was clean) toilet kept running and ceiling had mold/heavy staining of some sort.Breakfast is odd as it was not made clear if it was complimentary or not, and had to be ordered though cereal and juice was sitting out for general consumption. I try to use Hilton chains as a rule, but in this area Id look around as Hershey has a lot more to offer.
First of all I was told we would be able to check in early. That was not the case. When we finally got into our room it was disgusting. There was toothpaste on the counter in one bathroom. Coffee on the counter in the sitting room area. There was mildew all over the shower. I literally wouldnt even use it. The man at the front desk had taken off $50 for the counters. That was before I noticed the mildew and hair in the other bathroom. The pool area was overrun with loud unsupervised kids (a baseball team apparently had taken over the hotel, pool, lobby and restaurant)! There were no towels at the pool (several different visits). The hand sanitizing stations were empty all day and night. I was super excited for my son to stay in a suite for the first time. Unfortunately it was a beyond disappointing experience. Also the heater/ac unit sounded like a freight train. And the drain in the master bathroom was awful. It wouldnt drain. The coffee station on top of being dirty, had 1 decaffeinated k cup in it!!! The staff was nice. But this place is an absolute disaster.
Positive: Suite room was spacious with nice bathroom. Negative: The carpets in the hallways, the elevator and a fair amount of the doors and walls in the halls needed a desperate cleaning. Neither phone in the room worked and 3 requests for maintenance to repair went unanswered.
We use the Hilton app because we like the digital key. The backdoor to go into the hotel would not accept my digital key. There is plenty of parking on the side of the building. The lobby is very clean and the person behind the desk was friendly. The elevator was a little old fashion but worked it was also clean. Our room digital key worked perfectly and our room was clean. The beds were soft but they could have better quality pillow cases, sheets, blankets and maybe a little softer mattress. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked great. The TV was nice and also worked good. We only stayed 1 night and it was a good price value for what we got. Its not a newer property but it was still kept in good condition. Everyone wore masks and respected each other which was nice considering covid.
Disappointing on every level imaginable... Unfortunately, I cant give zero stars. Thank you to the Hilton Garden Inn Hershey for making me live through a travel nightmare in real-time.DO NOT STAY HERE.I booked and paid for a room back in May... FOUR MONTHS AGO. Had the full confirmation and everything. Day of our trip, were about 2 hours away, we get a call from the front desk telling us theyre overbooked and asked if we could cancel...She said an alternative would be that they can pay for a room at their sister site in Harrisburg. She said she had called, got a confirmation, everything is set up, the room is already paid for, and all I would have to do is get there and check-in as normal.Got to the second hotel, gave them my name... guy at front desk goes, O, they didnt call you, did they? Were booked and we told them we wont be able to fit you in. They took too long to call us back.Ended up finding a room at the Hampton Inn & Suites Hershey for double the price.I tried calling them about 5 different times and the phones arent working.Literally the most unpleasant, displeasing, horribly upsetting, HOT. MESS. I have EVER had to deal with... and I work in customer service.Save yourself a headache, pay double to stay literally anywhere but here, and enjoy a headache-free trip.
Generally Hilton’s are reliable, clean, and comfortable at the very least. This one is not any of those things. Everything is extremely beat up and ragged, our bed sheets were not clean, the room smelled of smoke, the sink had leftover toothpaste splatter all over the faucet handle, the list goes on and on. Pick somewhere else to stay.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Stayed in king bed suite. The room was clean, very large, and the bed comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of nearby restaurants to choose from and had no problems having Door Dash deliver. Quick easy drive to local attractions. Look forward to staying here again when we come back out to see Hershey.
Outside the building is kept immaculate. The inside needs some work and updating. Elevator and entrance near was not too clean. Our room was ok. Staff was friendly and helpful to us. Good location. Close to Hershey Park and many amenities. If they update inside, would be a great place to stay.
Terrible hotel. Our room was a mess when I checked in. Sticky stuff on floor and cabinets. Floors not clean. Not enough towels. Called front desk, no answer. Had to go down and ask for towels. When we pulled back covers to go to bed, 1 of the bed’s flat sheet had something on it. Asked next day to have our sheets changed. Said they would. Came back at 7 that night. Never been touched. Very dirty hotel. Needs updated!
The staff was extremely kind and helpful, especially upon check-in. A late check-out was accommodated (very helpful as my husband was having surgery nearby at 2 pm the following day - the reason for our trip). The room was ok - in need of some tlc. Disappointment was that breakfast was not included.
Real poor experience. Upon entry you see a patch job with a tile missing. Nothing permanent than a temporary solution of using blue tape to cover it up. Not very welcoming. Went to shower this morning and no hot water. Called the front desk and was told “yes we have been having that issue when multiple people take shower around the same time”. Wait what? Is this a Hilton Garden Hotel or someone’s house? She offered to send somebody to “have a look” but the problem is not in the room I was staying. She replied that sometimes it makes people feel better if someone comes up and has a look. Wait what? I can’t believe I’m hearing this from their front line of customer service. Hilton Garden Hershey - so so disappointed. No more stays for me and any of my traveling companions. I travel a lot and hold a “Diamond” status on many different hotel brands. First time I heard something like this and no offer to switch room or we are sorry. Just a very blasé reply. Ok. Thank you but no thank you.
Poor experience. The HVAC was the loudest Ive ever experienced at a hotel and it would not shut off. We werent offered bottled water or a dining credit. Im not in the habit of complaining about hotels as I see lots of dumb complaints out there but we were there to go to Hersheypark and ended up just driving home as we were up all night due to the various noises coming from the HVAC unit.
Worst pillows. Front Desk could not explain why a Diamond member could not receive breakfast coupons. I just found out that there are no more coupons but a daily food and beverage credit. That should have been communicated. Also, if you like a very soft pillow your in luck, worst pillow ever. The room is not worth the $$$$
Im a caregiver for individuals with disabilities. I stayed here a little while back with 2 of my clients. I have to say that the only thing more rude than the front desk were the terrible frequent guests that stay Herr. To treat someone with disabilities with such disrespect shows youre a horrible awful human being. I will never subject my clients to this treatment again and in the Name of true hospitality, you need to be ashamed of yourselves.
The location was good and the staff was friendly, however, within 15 minutes of checking in I found a hair plastered to the shower wall, a hair on the clean towels, and 2 hairs on the clean comforter. There was also a used k cup still in the keurig in the room when I went to make my morning cup. Obviously not very thoroughly cleaned.
I only gave this place a two star ratings due to the proximity of Hershey park. Otherwise, needs lots of work. Couldn’t adjust AC, bathroom door wouldn’t close, beds were so uncomfortable and carpets were not properly cleaned. My allergies were going nuts and there was a lot of dust in all the corners of carpets.
Positive: It had a quiet setting. Negative: The heating and cooling was extremely noisy and erratic. It would turn on and off constantly. While it was on the room was freezing and when it turned off the room would instantly feel hot. My whole family spent the night covering and uncovering. The spa
The staff was very friendly, but everything looked way better in the pictures online. There was a crack in the window seal, and it took 2 hours to get just 2 more towels. Breakfast was good, but also kind of lackluster. The best thing about the hotel was being right beside a Sheetz and only 2 miles from Hershey Park. The most disappointing thing of the hotel was by far the pool. Its only 4.5 ft deep and very small. The spa was just a dirty whirlpool hot tub that didnt work during our visit.
Staff was polite and informative. Rooms were clean and amenities well maintained. Beds comfortable.Poor experience with faulty HVAC. Put out heat instead of air-conditioning. Staff offered no solution, just informed me it would correct itself and sometimes it has problems. Sink drain malfunctioned, didnt bother asking for it to be fixed because of short stay. Pandemic breakfast options are poor.
I made a reservation. The person who took the reservation was fine but what he told us at reservation did not come to pass. 1) We were promised a room with a pull out couch, (that did not happen) . we had to ask for a roll away which crowded the room. 2) we were told breakfast was included and at check in I was told that we would have to pay for it. When I told the person at reception that I would have chosen another hotel had I known we would have to pay for breakfast, she said, go find another hotel 3) We had to ask for towels 4) We were told after coming back from a great day at Hershey Park (noting our room was not cleaned) that the hotel was not cleaning the rooms due to Covid, 5) The AC was erratic, either freezing or hot. and when I showed the clerk at reception my confirmation from Hilton, she said that didnt matter
The hotel is dated and underwhelming. Very modest appearance. I read other reviews that complained about the air running constantly and being extremely noisy... I thought those were just picky people. The air would turn on and off constantly and it was either freezing or too hot with no adjustments. It was impossible to sleep with all the noise. I actually dreamed I was out in a snowstorm. If you turned it off the room would heat up instantly. I spent the 2 nights covering and uncovering constantly. The spa was indefinitely out of order due to pipe issues which was extremely disappointing. Staff suggested a nearby pizza restaurant after a day at Hersheypark and the pizza was inedible...do not believe anyone who tells you JoJos is the best local pizza. I am honestly shocked this place has such good reviews. I definitely felt like it was overpriced and would not stay here again.
Besides the friendly workers I would avoid this place at all costs. The pillows and bed are horrible and we couldnt even get extra pillows, the hot tub was out of service, there is no business center, our bathroom was missing a decorative glass light bulb cover, there is no way to turn on the exhaust fan in the bathroom, the fitted sheet come off the corners the second you lay on the bed, everytime you lock your phone u have to reconnect to the internet simple but annoying, the lounge chair in the king room is comically small and no ottoman, and breakfast is not included with stay as well.
Ive stayed here many times while undergoing treatment at Hershey Medical Center. They offer a great rate for patients of the hospital, though you may need to ask about it. Amazingly attentive staff, out of the way that its quiet, but about 1 minute away from food and other necessities.
We loved this hotel! My husband and I stayed last week after spending the day at Hershey Park. We decided we wanted a simple hotel instead of risking it at a weird B&B run by god knows who. Everything was so clean, the price was great, and its so close to the park, food, shopping, etc. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and attentive, as was the guy in the Flyers mask who took care of us in the morning. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. If you just want to get away for a night and not worry about anything, this is the place. Thanks for everything!
Stayed for 2 nights, room felt clean until I dropped something next to bed snd when I saw the filth and garbage that was under there I was completely disgusted. Does housekeeping not clean under the bed??? Covid is NOT an excuse for food and garbage to be left under the beds. Also the drainage in the sink was terrible. Front desk staff was pleasant, however, older man that was “bar tending” thought he was the mask police. My autistic son left his mask outside and when I went to get it he was telling my son he needed a mask (I was gone for literally 5 seconds to get it) but yet they had no problem with having 50 people in the pool yelling and screaming. Like seriously, people make up the Covid rules as they go along without any rhyme or reason or consistency. I don’t need anyone to tell my child about wearing a mask, I am in charge of him.
Employees very nice. Facilities nice too. Indoor pool nice and not too hot nor cold. Hot tub was nice but lacked energy from the jets that should have been more forceful. Breakfast staff a bit overwhelmed but tried to keep up with the guests. Note breakfast is typically an extra charge and not normally included in room rate. Close to Hershey PA sites and attractions and nice surroundings at main street Hummelstown PA where you can walk and shop at a leisurely pace.
I wanted to call the hotel to ask specific questions to make sure the hotel would fit our needs and to find out information. I called the number listed for Hilton Garden Inn Hershey, got a live person who transferred me to reservations, and got an automated system. I thought I pressed an option for reservations and I sat on hold. I hung up and called back, thinking maybe I pressed a wrong button in the automated system. No live person at all this time. Selected the proper options in the automated system and have been sitting on hold again for over 7 min.I cant even leave a review for the hotel if I cant talk to a person to make sure this will work for us, let alone make a reservation. They lost my business before I even got started :-(
We stayed overnight with our 2 young daughters and had a wonderful stay!! The rooms were spotless & concierge was incredibly friendly and helpful!! We ate dinner at the restaurant located in the lobby and had an amazing server. The food was great and service was fantastic. The chef even came out a few times to check on us and bring us our food. This was by far, our best hotel experience because of the kind, friendly staff!
I stayed here 2 weekends ago. The hotel is up on a hill and set back from the road. Quiet and had a beautiful view on one side. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Best part was the large indoor pool and hot tub. Down side was no breakfast due to covid. They offered $4 individual breakfast bags - piece of fruit, bar of some kind maybe a yogurt or muffin. Stayed in a King Deluxe which has a pull out sofa. Was perfect for 2 adults and 1 kid. Room was relatively clean. Has a microwave and small fridge. No vending machines just ice. Lobby offered beer, wine and soda. Waters were free. Small bar in the lobby, plenty of seating, TV and a fireplace. Immediately surrounding the hotel is gas, restaurants and stores. There is a Sheetz right next door. Get your coffee there. Hotel coffee was not great and it was cold. About 35 mins from Lancaster and under 10 mins from Hershey Park. Perfect location if you are splitting your time between Lancaster and Hershey.
This hotel was amazing!! The pool was a little small but it was open from 7-11pm. The whirlpool was relaxing and was great for parents to sit in while watching kids swim. They provided two beach balls at the pool for anyone to use. The location was amazing because it was just about 10 minutes from Hershey Park and had a food plaza right next to it. There was a great view from the front of the hotel. The beds where very comfortable and I got a great sleep although I would recommend to bring an extra pillow if you cant sleep with one pillow. The breakfast was expensive so we didnt eat there but they had free coffee in the morning that you could walk down and make. Overall this place was great and I would love to stay here again. I would definetly recommend this place to friends and family.
I am very satisfied with our stay at the Hilton garden inn, the limited contact we had with the staff was very pleasant. They were very knowledgeable of the area and the attractions. The room was clean, and comfortable. The only criticism would be the bathroom door needed a significant amount of force to open and close. With a crawler on the floor it required good communication to ensure he wasnt crushed.
This was a nice hotel located in a nice area. I enjoyed the scenic views in the distance. The accommodations at this hotel were appropriate and offered a good variety of rooms and budget point. My stay here was relaxing and also was fun due to a on-site restaurant. I also enjoyed the pool and gym facilities offered here as well. This hotel is located near by attractions and restaurants so it makes accessibility very convenient.
Wonderful hotel with exceptional service. After getting stuck at another local hotel which was an absolute nightmare (only place with availability first night of our stay), we were so grateful to spend our second night here. We were met with a clean, beautifully updated facility and welcoming staff who were happy to accommodate us. Peyton, the young woman at the desk, was so kind and not only was she able to upgrade our room she helped my wife locate some much needed advil. She was saving grace. Whenever we return to Hershey, we will absolutely be staying at the Hilton!
The front desk staff was very happy and helpful. Our room sadly, was not up to the clean standards that we are used to. There were three beers in the refridgerator, smears on the mirrors, and what looked like orange cheese caked on the carpet. It felt dirty. The swimming pool area was clean and wonderful.
Service was outstanding and location was perfect for a quick visit to Hershey Park. Looks like hotel was recently updated with some hints to its past (older shower). $13.95 upcharge for breakfast seemed high so I didnt purchase. Plenty of affordable breakfast options in the area. Bed was comfortable, AC was cold and room was dark at night. There was some hallway noise early morning but only from a few passing children. I would stay again if I was in the area.
Dirty dishes galore each meal. Three days total. Very limited seating for a hotel with as many guests as it has. Each day it seemed liked the breakfast area was half booked for business group breakfasts. I never see people standing in line waiting for seats to have breakfast at other Hilton properties. With two daughters 7 and 12 this was far from ideal. I stay at HGIs a lot. This one was very disappointing. Will not stay at this one again.
We had a teriffic stay. the room was clean, bathroom spotless, which is not always the case in hotels. the staff was friendly and super accommodating. pool and hot tub empty, except for us. the restaurant is a little pricey and we were told they were revamping, thus the limited menu, though what we ordered was good. best of all was the mattress...great nights sleep.
This is a new, well designed Inn. The lobby is cozy modern at the same time. Our room, a one bedroom suite, was spacious and easily accommodate our whole family, including the kids. Everything is well maintained, including the pool and exercise areas. The lobby restaurant has simple, tasty and affordable food options. Staff at the front desk and around the property are friendly and helpful. The rooms could use better sound protection between them. Our room was a bit noisy when the next room was occupied. Conveniently located for quick trips to Hershey attractions, including Hershey Park, Chocolate World and holiday events like Sweet Lights. This is our second stay here and we would return again!
I would give it 5 stars but breakfast was a little on the blah side. Everyone and I mean all the staff my husband and I encountered was amazing and very nice. From check in to checkout everyone was great. The room was very clean and super comfy. Honestly my husband and I stayed in our room a lot during our kidless getaway. Breakfast was lacking a little. It seemed like everyday my potatoes were burnt lol but as a gold member it was free so whatcha gonna do. I will say that for the first time I tried a chocolate omelette which was amaze balls! I recommend staying here considering we were literally 10 minutes from hershey park. Keep up the good work guys!
Nice hotel close to Hershey Park. Room rate was very reasonable for a 1 night stay.Hotel is clean and the staff was very friendly & welcoming and acknowledged me every time I passed by the front desk. The room was a nice size with a King bed & sofa and the HVAC unit actually kept the room at a constant temperature without having to constantly run or cycle on / off.I will most likely stay here again when back in the area.
Everyone at the front desk was great! I wish I remembered everyone’s names, but everyone I met was really fantastic and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was clean, the hotel definitely deserves an upgrade soon because it’s a great location with great employees! When I visit Hershey again I plan to be visiting this property again. Thanks again!
Nice clean hotel about 2 miles to Hersheypark. We got the made to order breakfast in our room rate (normally $13.95 per person) and felt it was worth it for a family of 4. The Belgian Waffles, made to order omelets, and French toast were great! Maid service was on point as was the front desk in helping me resolve my electronic key issue. Would definitely stay there again.
Everything was perfect except the breakfast waitress Rita. Felt we started to get kicked out at 9:45 and overheard a conversation with another guest that was down right rude. But the breakfast was fast and delicious! The beds so comfortable! Will go back! It is in a very convenient location, close to all Hershey attractions. And it is close to a shopping center with many places to eat. But the hotel does have a small bar and a restaurant.
Even though the hotel is small, they still treat their guests like any Hilton property. Hold members get free breakfast, and even if breakfast isnt free, it is reasonable and there are plenty of options. Decent pool and fitness room. The most impressive thing ws my family of four sent for breakfast and by the time we got back, the room service was already complete for the day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay when visiting Hersheypark from a distance.
The hotel was super nice. They have a pool connected to a hot tub. Along with a 24 hour fitness room. They have a store that is open 24 hours. The room are big with a flat screen TV and fridge. It is only about two miles away from all the Hershey attractions. I highly recommend it.
Very busy hotel, and week for area. Rate everywhere were way to high, but had to stay somewhere. Food was good in restaurant, on site. And people were pleasant in all departments. Room was small. Specially having to be there for a week. Could of upgraded us, as Diamond. But didnt. ACAA in town. So they also raised our rate half of our stay. Seems wrong to us.
This was a great stop for our trip to Hersheypark. My nieces were able to play in the pool before we grabbed a quick dinner and headed to park preview. The park is only a few miles away. We got a joining rooms which worked perfect since we were traveling with extended family. Breakfast the next morning was great!
My was clean and comfortable, and it had a small fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. I connected my Fire TV easily. The fitness room is above average and theres an indoor pool and whirlpool that are pretty nice. The only cons are: Only one elevator, only one washer and dryer, and no continental breakfast. The location is okay and there are several restaurants in the area.
I love it! The rooms are so nice, breakfast was great and for dinner, they had a gourmet chef and instead of having dinner out for my birthday, we ate at Hilton! The staff is inviting, the pool has a hot tub and is secluded. It also has an outside entrance. There is a conference room and a computer room which is great for the businessman, but lets face it- this is geared toward the parks. They have a section for flyers of things in Hershey and its surroundings. They also have The Market which has everything you need. The entrance is going up a hill and the great part is that you dont have a view of the main road. There is a great view of a farm as well. Just a great spot to stay and is close to restaurants and the parks. Also, theres tons of parking. There is too much to say about this hotel. Great place. Ignore anything below a five star. Truly is great.
I have devised a hotel rating system using two basic measurements: bathroom and coffee. The results really do correlate to the overall hotel quality. For bathroom the towels size, softness and brightness and shower head strength and toiletry quality are all measured on a 1-5 scale, for coffee if a keurig is in the room its worth 3 if not, 1. If real creamers 3, if not 1. Total possible point is 27. This hotel got a 26!
I had to say I quite enjoyed this place I think it is beautiful even during these trying times where hotels are just downright strange and creepy because theyre not many people like it a little bit but theres not many people there but I guess but this place is beautiful I loved it the staff was wonderful and helpful I was great quality for the price it was great service for the price if I could I would stay here instead of my living in my car like I am. basically I took what I could have stayed two days in a different place and I saved one night here because I wanted something nice and it was nice and I wish I could have had more time there I really do if they have a raffle for a couple weeks stay there I would so want to win it its one of the best hotels Ive stayed in in the past four months Ive stayed in a lot of hotels Ive seen a lot of hotels Ive had 28 what was the last time I checked up to like 35 different hotels Ive stayed in over the past 4 months out of all of them this is the nicest one Ive stayed in I have to say the nicest one out of 35 this is number one.

2022-05-12Not a bad hotel, but definitely needs some work to be worth the nightly price.Pros: indoor pool, (small) workout room, location, room size. Walls/doors are pretty sound proof (I’m a light sleeper).Cons: The elevator was not even close to clean. Same with most of the hallway floors. The hot tub was completely broken and needed a cleaning. I got attitude when I asked if it was going to be fixed any time soon. Parking is weird but seems plentiful enough.I would be willing to try this hotel again, maybe it’s better during the summer busy season.

2022-06-17An amazing hotel to stay at. Super close to the park and museum, also nearby retail stores and restaurants. The gym and pool are very nice but is a small hotel. Snack bar and restaurant inside the restaurant are very nice. The shower and care amenities in the bathroom were also very nice along with the room. There was a thunderstorm the night I stayed there and there was no signal for the TV and what a better time for it to happen during the NBA Finals. Power almost went out but in all good circumstances. Front desk is very nice and I will come back to this hotel.

2022-07-05We only stayed one night here. Location was great and that was the primary reason we booked it, that and they allowed our dogs to stay with us. The room was clean. We are thankful we could bring our pets BUT they charge $75 PER NIGHT PER PET!!!! We have two small well behaved dogs. This was a ridiculous amount to charge and honestly, we felt robbed. I was aware there would be a pet fee but wasnt expecting $150 for one night. One other complaint, more of a guest issue than anything else - we couldnt eat the full breakfast they provided because of the sick person who was sneezing and snotting all over the place and grabbing all the serving utensils. Didnt want to come away with a cold from our vacation. All of that being said, the room was very clean and the amenities were nice. We had an issue with the toilet running but the staff took care of that promptly and without issue.

2022-05-17The room was not the cleanest. The bathroom lock didnt work so when someone accidently hit it and didnt realize we were locked out of the bathroom. When we told the front desk they told us they didnt have anyone in maintenance on the weekends so we lost some of our stuff in the bathroom. You have to ask for your room to be cleaned instead of them automatically doing it each day. When we asked for it to be cleaned we came back to it not cleaned. We had no towels to take showers with. The pool was the best part of this place. It was small but clean. We ended up leaving a night early. Definitely not worth the money paid to stay here.

2022-06-03From the moment we walked up to the service desk, Diamond greeted us with a friendly smile. She was very accommodating when we explained the series of unfortunate events that had transpired that day. She went out of her way to make sure that our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn would far exceed our expectations. In our opinion, Diamond embodies the true meaning of hospitality!! We also found our room to be very clean and our bed was very comfortable!!

2021-12-22Lovely location with friendly staff and nice rooms. Pool and hot tub were small but very clean and nice, and we loved the extended hours (open until 11PM!) Lobby is very pretty and has lots of room for sitting/chatting/boardgames. Our room was great with only two small issues - crumbs and wrappers under the couch, and no coffee cups for the Keurig. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay and we will be back.

2022-05-06As stated before, I rarely write reviews but feel in this case it is completely warranted given the lack of professionalism given from the Hilton Garden Inn Hershey (itself) and Hilton Coporate. My husband and I along with my two younger daughters stayed at this location, Friday April 22- Saturday, April 23, 2022. The room was horrendous. When we entered the room, it looked like the photos provided from the website. However, as we began to unload our items and get our daughters ready for bed, the wallpaper was peeling on the left side of the toilet and had a reasonable amount of mold growth on the ceiling. This is due to a lack of fan in the bathroom. The toilet ran every hour, too. In the room itself, the air/heater unit was plugged so whenever the unit turned on, it sounded like a paper was flapping. Needless to say, it made for a rough night sleeping. After dealing with these problems, the next morning, my group gathered our stuff and began transferring it to the car. This is when we noticed that a ants nest was disturbed and they were crawling all over the desk in the room. Some got on our coats which then got on the bed. This was it.Beyond all of these circumstances, when notifying the front desk of our stay and that we would not be using the breakfast vouchers we paid for, the desk informed us that the information would be given to the manager and our money would be refunded in 3-5 business days. It has been 12 days now and I have received no refund. I am unable to speak to a competent staff member or the manager regarding this matter because the phone rings and rings and then when put through the managers line, the same occurs as well. No one in this location or corporate has any idea what policy is.Now, I out the money Hilton took for the breakfast I never ate and the full refund I am requesting for my stay. I am a patient person and am aware that times are hard but want to be given respect. I dont want to have to continue days on end with phone tag about a matter that seems simple to solve but yet has taken 12 days with no action. If you are reading this, I highly suggest you stay somewhere else even if it puts you a little further away from Hershey. I wouldnt want to see another individual or family (particularly) have to go through the obstacles I have gone through already.

2022-06-30Horrible stay. I spent two days with my family at this location. The hotel is very run down and has critical safety issues. The room doors stick so severely my wife and child could not open the door. Staff said management was aware of the problem. There was no hot water the first night. The second night, the room was full of flying bugs.Management will not return my calls to try and remedy the situation. There was no one at the front desk at checkout, even after waiting 10 minutes. I knocked on an office door where I could see staff and was ignored. This property is a complete disgrace for the Hilton brand!

2022-02-20The bathroom sink was slow to drain. There was black ashy stuff that was constantly in the sink, no matter how many times we rinsed it out. The bathroom vent didnt work so the bathroom was steamy and had to baracde bathroom door to stay open during showers. Beds and pillows were comfy. People who work at front desk should be dressed more professionally and have some personality. The 2 people we saw (1 guy...1 female had zero personality and were both very sloppy. Not what you want to see when youre checking in to your hotel.

2022-06-05The bed was uncomfortable, the hot tub was luke warm, the indoor pool had clumps of hair floating, the outdoor pool was either hidden or non-existent, and the overworked front desk clerk was clearly manning the kitchen and bar as well, leaving him unavailable to assist guests. The amenities supposedly included free wifi, but only if sign up with their rewards program. Signs all over say, ask us for anything, but they didnt have basics. You hear the name Hilton and you expect a high class experience, not a run down Motel 6. There actually was a motel 6 right across the street and I wish I had stayed there, then the accommodations would have been more in line with the price. The garden inn has an impressive lobby, which is the best thing I can say about my stay.
